Hi All,
Happy New Year to everyone. We've been away up to my parents for the week and just got back. Don't know how we managed to get everything in the car and now planning a trip to Ikea to buy more storage for the mountain of toys the boys got!!!
Well xmas was eventful. Managed to have NO arguments this year (a first) but I started spotting last Thursday. It stopped by the morning but I was worried as I'd never had this in my previous pregnancies. Called my midwife and she gave me the number of the early labour unit and suggested seeing a GP. Trying to get my parent's (and my old) GP to see me was a nightmare. Strong phone call from my dad and they 'fitted me in' to see the nurse. Checked my urine and told me to bed rest. All I wanted was to hear the baby's heartbeat but they wouldn't do it. Doctor came in and said if they couldn't find it it would be more distressing for me so refused to do it. I was put on bed rest and just put my feet up for the next 48 hours. No more spotting since and I'm going to see my GP this week (planned anyway for 16 weeks).
Going to catch up now with all the posts I've missed.
Good luck Sunset, will be thinking of you and can't wait to hear the news that you have your baby girl in your arms x
Bye all xxx

Maybepink, poor you, must have been an awful time, my spotting never stopped with my miscarriage at 13 weeks so it sounds like you had some harmless spottong, although worrying! I had that spotting with DS2. Sunset, how exciting!! Good luck!!

maybepink, relieved to hear the spotting has stopped. Take it easy hun!
Sunset, OMG its getting closer! So excited for you! though at the same time, i remember joking about how depressing itwould be that you would probably give birth before i got pg...and here we are!! ho hum, it will happen! GL!
7dpo so hoping to test in a few days... 9dpo at earliest.
How is everyone else?

Sunset good luck! When I was induced it was30 mins between first contraction and being fully dilated and pushing! Unfortunately baby got it all wrong and stuck but it was 4.5 hours in total!'induction took a long time to kick in. Remember to get them to check your bp after dd is born please? Mine went super low due to blood loss but then it crept sky high. You need to be watched closely for two days at least. Nothing to worry about at all but it just means you might need to stay on meds for a while. I hope not x

Maybe I hope all is ok what a worry poor you x
Ping it's wet here but your temp sounds too high for me
Don't know why I am asking this but would be concerned if you 18 month old was still in 3-6 clothes? Does that sound to small or toddler is just on smaller side of normal? I know. My son could do up a 0-3 coat when he was four years old. He was always a stage or three behind in sizes.

Just popping in and saw this. From my experience, if you and DH are small and all your kids are small, no big deal. If you and DH ate not small and grew later in life, no big deal. If only one child is short statured and it concerning, speak up to your doctor. Growth Hormone does not even kick in in the body until the age of 3 so they look at nutrition and genetics(meaning are you and DH small) before then. After 3, you can have testing done.

Thanks Nbp. It's my friends toddler but I had the same thing with my son. He was off the growth chart at birth because he was so small. He is still small but grows in line with where he is in the population growth chart. I think your right though there is such a lot of things to consider at this age. As long as they are walking at talking by two there's not much reason to worry. Thanks x

If small at birth then I wouldnt worry so much - have they always been small and followed this pattern. Weird because i am planning to see the HV about ds3 - he is 18months and wearing age 6-9/9-12 month clothes doesnt sound too bad however he was wearing this size tihs time last year and at 8lb was 75% at birth!! He is dinky ds1 is too but I am going to get him weighed and measured x maybe your friend should do the same x
Deaks YOU WILL get there x x I know it doesnt make much difference but i have been where you are it sucks but then when you hold that baby it is even more special x x my BF got pregnant had her baby and her baby was 9months old by the time i got my BFP with ds2 and i started TTC before her!!
SUNSET - thinking of you i hope you and serena are ok x xmuch much love take care and sending you loooooads of love right now
AFM - tired.com work was mental FED UP of work - bleurgh wish i didnt have to work lol but i suppose everyone wants that. Also peeps at work know now so its been a day of oooooh its a girl i reckon it looks like a girl...NO its a boy is all i reply!

Since seeing your pics Charlie I have totally started to realise I am infact pregnant and the bean is a particular gender, so easy just to think of it as a bean. I have started obsessing too, it is such hard work having gender desire....
LMW what is the FMU test? something else to obsess about lol. Have you done it?

Ah nuts I don't know sunset on fb. Congratulations!!
Indigo - I can't belive you have a White sofa and White curtains!! Omg they would be ruined in a week in my house. Grubby kids hands and dh covered in building rubble. I can't even keep my laminate floor clean.
Charlie baby was 5.5 at birth so always small. Not sure why but it's starting to worry me a bit. I think it's because I have just had some bad news about another friends son. My ds1 looks like he has been living in a concentration camp he is so thin but I never worry about him. He eats more than me but he has always had yellowish skin so looks like he has a liver problem (he hasn't - must be some skin tone way back in our genes)

Indigo how lucky are you with your gift! I wish I was crafty in anyway but I'm just so not!!
I also agree there's no way I could have white curtains etc, I have a cream leather sofa and only got that because it wipes clean lol!
We are now looking into the possibility of a loft conversion in our house to try and get more space. Dp just won't entertain the idea of renting, oh the joys of limited space!! Lol
I'm back to work tomorrow as well, not really looking forward to it to be honest, I thought I'd be happier about getting back to work after nearly 3 years out, but I just feel like I'm pulled in to many directions now. College, children, pregnancy, running a home and working now, I'm gonna see how the next few weeks fair but if I continue to be so stressed I may look at leaving. Feel like a bit of a failure but this past week has made me realise regardless of how much I do outside of the house in terms or work etc I am still expected to keep the house with minimal help from dp, even having horrible nausea has resulted in zero help what do ever!

you check the ph of your FMU and if its under 6 - girl and above 6 - boy i think it only works if your under 10 weeks pg! there sort of the same as the gender prediction kits you can buy online! with ds2 i bought intelligender and it goes green/blue for boy and yellow/orange for girl! for me it worked and told me i was having a boy! but i think it work the same way.
how did you get the code for that pg ticker i tried to get one and carnt find the code anywhere! :S

ohh yes charlie forgot to add that i had tried it the other day just using universal ph strips and couldnt really make out the color so couldn't be sure. found out my hannah tonite so hopefully if i dont forget i will be testing tomorrow

Oooh, I tested FMU and it was 5.2!! Only worry is that is a reflection of my PH now and not my PH at the time of conception - thats right isnt it? That it reflects your ph when concieved. Which my cm PH was between 5 and 6 then.

we did a loft conversion last January and its the best thing we did! we bought the house as a two bed and know we have turned it in to a 4 bed so theres plenty of room! we sleep in the loft room and the boys share a room as they wont sleep apart and then we have 2 spare bedroom, 1 in which i iuse as a dressing room and the others waiting for a baby to go in it :)

Congrats sunset!!! I can't even imagine how incredibly happy you are...Enjoy every minute with her...Ohhhh what I would do for a girl.....
Do most of you know each other on facebook? or have separate facebook pages to not let the rest of the world know about your Gender Desire? I've been holding out from going on facebook- in general- for all the down sides I see to it-although there are def upsides!

Thanks ladies, to be honest im feeling a bit low. Am delighted for Sunset, but the fact that we started out swaying together, that i am still here unpregnant and that i have been so majorly off the diet for 9 days is hitting me tonight. On the upside my psoriasis has pretty much cleared up which is alot quicker than it takes most people and we are going househunting in norfolk next weekend! so trying to keep cheery!
Littlemiss, sorry you and ds are suffering at the mo, hope the docs can sort you both out quickly!
Maybe, both my boys, esp ds1 are pretty small. Always way behind in clothes compared with their friends and ds1 nearly a foot shorter than his best mate! But the health visitor told me a tall female toddler will be a tall lady but the size of a male toddler has no bearing on how tall he will end up. Hope so anyway!!
Charlie, work is always much harder when pg plus you are worrying yourself with the gender so im not surprised you are finding things tough! Im terrible when i worry, just want to take to my bed!! Always been like that, even as a kid. Impossible though when you have kids, a job etc. Sending you a big old hug!

I will have to take a picture of my secret santa present tomorrow and will post it! It's lovely seeing what we got each other:) Indigo so glad you liked your present, I would love a cream sofa.
Funny question, has anyone ever had an ovarian Cyst? Because I'm still getting a dull ache in my left side and my AF is really light (normally very heavy) half a day and night of spotting followed by two days of light flow and now spotting again. That and the headaches, sensitive boobs, sickness and AF cramps (don't usually get very noticeable cramps or dull aches or anything of that kind) all got me googling (Google=massive blessing and massive curse) came up with those being possible symptoms of an ovarian cyst. Could that be why I didn't pick up a LH surge last month even though I was testing twice a day?
Looking forward to some more FMU results. from a thread I read on IG it tends to be very accurate, a midwife posted went through all her patients past notes that had already had their babies and only a very few were wrong.

Kell I work four days a week and have been full time at some points with ds1. I work in it which can be very complicated and stressful. The only way I can do it to lower my standards I'm afraid. My career is over, I'm a mess, the house is a constant pig sty but the boys are well cared for and I do enough to stop dh walking out ;-) but that's it. I think there is a expectation that women can have it all. I don't find that myself. I take care of top priorities and the rest I let slid. I think if you can get through six months at work then it will get easier.
Deaks I never every thought I would be pg again. I know I am having a boy but really it was all worth the pain of all the bfns. If you have had two
Kids before it will happen, just not as you planned. I never thought I would have four year age gaps but that doesn't matter, as long as they are here. The pain of the journey to get them is just a memory now. Hugs I know how you feel x

Morning all! It's an early one for me today. Dh back to his 6am wake ups and it's been so windy here and my house is so tall and old and we sleep at the top that it has been a noisy night. The windows and doors were all rattling, I kept thinking we had burglars. Plus the dog was on the prowl all night..... the noises were obviously keeping her awake too! Plus I have been having some horrid af type cramps keeping me awake. Keep thinking af might show up but she cant as I'm on the progesterone. Anyway 8dpo today but already planning next attempt!
Maybe thanks Hun! You are so right the months of pain will be forgotten when i did get a bfp and my ds2 is still only little so I know there is no rush. The idea of digging the swaying kit out, reordering supps and dragging myself back onto the diet is hell but I know I will do it. Still not quite ready to let go! How long did you sway for?
Hi everyone else. Back to reality for many of us today! Had such a wonderful 9 days, probably the best Christmas ever! X

Deaks I did egs for a year. Then dropped bits and bobs but I did sway a bit all along. Took supps and aci gel when I got pg. But me and dh had fertility issues so it was pointless swaying hard after we had tests. It was hang all hope on a girl and sway hard knowing I wouldn't get pg or realise we are 37 and unlikely swaying would get us pg. I wish I had the tests sooner but it's done now. As long as baby comes safely then in the grand scale of things the journey is over, just not by the best path. Final destination is not as important as the journey x

Bravo maybe - although i am obsessing over the sex of my baby - the main importance is a healthy baby at the end of the day and i am truelly grateful after many many tears and trials at TTC for ds2 and ds3 that this baby happened first month - for that i am thankful and shocked still!

The main thing is to be happy with what you did to sway. The only thing more I could have was the diet but you can't eat like that for 2.5 years so no regrets with my sway at all. The most important thing for me was I didn't want five school years between ds2 and baby as it's impossible to get my kids into a decent school here unless on the sibling rule.

are we all back on school runs today??? HUGS to all if you are - the weather is FOUL dark, peeing it down and windy BLEURGH!
Deaks FX for no AF
doesnt bode well my SMU was at least 8 on my strip :O
My son doesnt start pre-school til Thursday, yay! Went to soft play this am and now dvd and blankets :-)
I just tested my urine, ok it wasnt fmu but hey ho lol,it went up to 6.3 from 5.2 the other morning, will test in am. Surely our urine PH just reflects our diet over the last day or so though? I had baked potatoe and beans and cheese yesterday, then a biscuit and chocolate milkshake this am and a burger at lunch so not suprised its gone up a bit.
I think Im ok with having another boy, much better than when I was pregnant with DS2, dont know why, I just feel oddly calm about this one ending up being a boy, maybe its because no one knows Im pregnant so am not getting any gender questions, or I have just no hope of a girl and accepted it lol!

Should be 3rd of September ish so very close! I have a scan on Monday, I suspected twins as hcg was doubling daily, but that feeling has died down now, also just not feeling pregnant so if all is well then the scan will be reassuring as only feeling a bit tired really. Although saying that - I think I felt sooo bloated and uncomfortable the first few days but not due to pregnancy, due to being able to eat what I wanted so that may have confused things.
When do you have your first scan?

LMW- will try that test tomorrow but don't worry charlie, it is NO way fool proof otherwise everyone would do this to find out gender.
I got an early scan as I said I had no idea about the date of my LMP, I said I was still BF and was having really irregular cycles (true ish!) and so had to have a dating scan. Maybe you could try this one?! I felt a bit bad lying as I knew EXACTLY when I o'd etc but because of my previous m/c I knew I had to have an early scan for a bit of peace of mind.

just come back from the doctors and im going for a scan tomorrow. i told him that i had had sharp pains on the right side for a bit and then it was quite painful on Sunday night (which is all true) he asked me how far along i thought i was and i lied a bit, i told him my last missed period i couldnt be sure of and was early november time which it wasnt it was the 14th of nov. he felt my uterus and said my fundus was measuring around 14weeks so he thinks im miles more ahead, which im pretty positive im not so he tried to find a heartbeat and couldnt but he's not sure. he also said it could be an eptopic with the pains being on a certain side etc. im there at 1.30 in the afternoon at the emergency gynecology unit. with me only being just over 7 weeks will they be doing an internal scan? theve told me i have to go with a full bladder

January 3rd, 2012, 01:10 PM
Lmw I think it will be internal there not so bad I had one for fertility tests. I am sure you would feel worse if it topic. Our wombs have all been trashed by previous tenants so each baby hurts more. Myidwife said it's like a rubber band each time you strech it it losses a bit of it's spring.
Omg a tree came down and crushed a bus in my road! I live oppersite a wood too!!!
Like a idiot I put the washing out now the lines snapped and my White load is on the mud. Back to work tomorrow how could things get worse?

Maybe, cant believe how long you swayed for but its amazing what you can do when you really want something. kell you never managed to sway for this pg did you? how do you feel about it? are you sad that you never managed to sway or are you just happy about being pg. i stopped swaying a month before falling pg and at first i was so happy and excited about being pg that i just thought what will be will be. but now i have started thinking that maby if id just had more determination that maby i could have got my girl by swaying! its just so confusing! Dont get me wrong im so happy to be pg but theres still that 'what if'

Unfortunatly the pictures of the crash on the news look bad. Poor driver was taken to London and is critical and I am moaning about my washing. You don't realise how lucky you are sometimes.
Deaks if your happy to drop a few things it's ok. I regret nothing about cutting my sway at all. My only regret was not pushing sooner for my fertility tests. It just doesn't feel right with two kids. I don't know why god knows they are hard work! One kid seems like it's just what women do - have a baby. Two feels like one child would be lonely. Three seems mote " I am a mum and not just conforming to the norm". I have my family ( will have soon I hope) and if I wanted to try again for a dd the pressure is off as the family is complete. Don't get me wrong I would still dearly love a dd but I am not desperate to try again or to be pg again or have another baby. Not like I was for my little dave

LMW-I agree with Charlie, I think you will prob be able to have a tummy scan. I was only 7 weeks with this scan and they got a really clear pic on my tummy. I only had an internal with a previous m/c when they couldn't see anything on tummy (babe was too little). I'm sure you will be fine, try not to worry about the pains, I had EXACTLY the same thing with this pg and was convinced it was an ectopic (my mum had one so thought it might be more likely), stabbing pains up on the side. Praying you will be Ok too.:HH:

My regrets from my sway - not being so strict on the diet as i thought i had o'd and eased off a little - also no abstainance as we thought we had o'd so only 4 days i think then BD day before o however i think i killed everything with lime juice and then +12 other than that nowt i would change
oh i hope the people on the bus were ok and the driver :S
I thought i was bad having to walk home in the worst rain i have ever seen blowing straight at me - it was so bad it was running down my jeans into my boots from my head down my back, i had ds2 with me as no preschool and no buggy board he was soaked through even ds3 was and he had a rain cover. Lmw nope didn't get to swaying, I was about to start buying sups etc but didn't get to, I did start changing my diet and increased -ions by walking the dog etc but to be honest if I get a little girl this time it's not because of swaying. How do I feel about it, well I'd been ttc for 8 months so was kinda just desperate to get pg by the end, I probably would be gutted if it turns out to be a boy, but I know I'll be ok with that in a few days, I do worry how dp will react tho, I think he would take it very badly.
If this is a girl I'm pretty sure this will be my last pregnancy, atleast for the foreseeable future anyway because I've really not enjoyed it this time round so far, I loved being pregnant with the boys but this times been quite hard.
Having said that I am only 28 and I don't know how I'll feel about more kids in my late 30's

LMW - good luck for tomorrow, Ive had internal scans done and its just like a wand with a round end, they put a condom on it lol and some lube and in it goes, sometimes you feel a little pressure as they lean to the sides etc. but they put a sheet over your legs so you cant see and its dark too so I dont even feel embarrassed. Had a few of them before so its the norm for me! Reminds me of after birth - I was just laying there legs wide stunned looking at my baby and then a nurse puts a sheet on me and says 'there you go, save some dignity' ............ and Im like 'oh yeah, I had my baby like 5 mins ago and Im still laying there with legs open wide' ........... much more embarrassing lol!
Deaks - hope you get your bfp really soon!! Will you alter your sway next month if this month isnt the one?
Charlie - my sway sounds similar to yours, I thought Id ovulated so slacked on the diet, and abstinance ended up only 5 days instead of 7. PH also was about 5 at the time of dtd but rose to the 6's around ovulation 2 days later.
Still, I agree that it was important to fall pregnant than get my sway 100% but of course I will always wonder 'what if'.

chocolate, no i wont alter my sway next month but WILL remember to remove my femmecup before dtd! Will also make sure i do 2 attempts in quick succession at 0+12.
3LM, still feeling crampy though didnt notice it in the daytime today. I have no idea whether it is definately the crinone as its quite hard to find other users stories on the net or whether its af (though considering crinone delays af i wouldnt have thought this that likely yet...am only 8 out of 13 or 14dpo) or implantation. It is low down, in the middle and just like dull pains. I iwsh i could find out if any other crinone users had crampy symptoms start a week after starting the meds.
Anyway just gonna have to wait til tomorrow to test but not very hopeful.

Hi Jennibel, welcome, im so glad you found us! Sounds like you are really motivated for your sway which is a great start. I would recommend o+12 personally as i truly believe its easier to get pg that way than cut off. Mind you this is coming from someone who has been swaying nearly a year. But both my chemicals in that time were o+12 so it works (kind of) for me. Im sure other ladies on here will give you some great advice. Will you get dh to take liqourice root? Hi everyone, can't keep up with all the posts over the last few days. Just wanted to say a big congratulations to Sunset. Can't wait to see some piccies - it must be so wonderful finally holding your daughter in your arms.
I'm really feeling the anxiety of finding out the gender too. Everyone keeps asking me 'would you like a daughter?'. What do you say to that? It's the first question they all ask. Yes, of course I say but I would also love a boy. DH had a go at me yesterday for saying this. I told him how I was feeling but it's so hard wanting something so much, I just couldn't explain it to him and don't need him to make me feel guilty for my thoughts. Also, fed up that everyone is asking. It's like they're saying a boy is a consolation prize. I love my boys dearly and like Charlie says wouldn't be upset if I was having another boy, but would mourn the loss of not having a daughter in my life.
I spent xmas with my new baby niece, 6 weeks old. She is absolutely beautiful and I just wanted to hold and hold her. All the family felt the same. She's my parents first grand-daughter. I don't know if my mum picked up on this but she told me that as much as they love new grand-daughter, they wouldn't swap their 2 grand-sons for 2 grand-daughters. That meant a lot to me.
Right off to bed, DS1 first day back at pre-school tomorrow xxx

9dpo today. Gonna poas in a minute. Had bleeding gums when brushing my teeth last night which is a first for me so got all excited but then remembered it could easily be the baby asperin hough I hadnt taken any for 48hrs as I had run out so I have been hoping that if anything it would have been getting out of my system. Also been having very vivid dreams...even dreamt I was pg last night but think I'm just working myself up for a fall! Maybe people ask me all the time but it doesnt upset me anymore. I am honest in my reply - it's bound to be a boy as I only know boys but a girl would make a change, I can't imagine myself with a girl. If you had two girls people would ask if you wanted a boy this time. It's not that you two boys, it's that you want more than two kids. People don't understand why people would want more than just the normal two. At least that's what I think.
chocolate
January 4th, 2012, 08:14 AM
I think my answer to 'so do you want a girl this time' will be 'Im sure Id love a girl just as much as a boy but dont mind either way, it works well right now having the same gender but Im sure a girl or a boy would slot in well. However, if it is a girl Ill be sending it to live with Grandma for the teenage years if its anything like me ha ha'! Although to the mil I would feel like saying 'actually Id rather have all boys as from what Ive seen the girls are favoured over boys and I dont want my boys to feel like that' as my MIL favours her daughter over my OH etc.
I did my fmu this am and it was 5.6/7 seems to be getting a bit higher than the first time, all fun though but can't be bothered to boil up a cabbage ha ha.
Good luck lmw today.

Hi everyone, accidently posted on the December board not realising we are in January LOL.... I am new to this site, deaks referred me, thank you deaks. I was briefly on PL (onemore, still on the rollcall as I see ;) before it went down and am also on IG. Could you add me to the roll call as nini? nini, ttc February.
I plan to start my diet and sway next week. I should have my attempt around 29 February if my next cycles are regular. Unfortunately I have long cycles of 35-37 days :(
I currently have an older son who is 10 and 2 little ones, a son aged 2 and daughter who will be 1 in less than a week. I would love to give her a sister.... I am excited to start ttcing again, but also freaked out. Currently the freak part is somewhat stronger unfortunately....
Fingers crossed for deaks, I have never taken aspirin in my life, so I have no idea. But I have heard that gum bleeds are an early pg sign... hoping it is for you :)xx

Welcome nini!
Omg just had a mad pg brain moment! Went to get my son from school and he wasn't waiting at the gate with his teacher. Others from his was but no sign of him so I thought maybe he had gone to the office as I wasn't there for gates open - chatting to indigo ;-) anyway thought it was bit weird as I was only a few mins after gates open. Went to the office who rang for his teacher. She came down and said she didn't dismiss him at the gate. Mild panic set in but ds1 is very sensible so I wasn't too panicked. The reception asked if he had gone to a friends - no, had he gone to after school club - no that's only Wednesday. Well blow me down, it's Wednesday today! What a Pratt! I have been working today as well! I feel like a gibbering mess now! Had to cancel his dentist app and have just made a appointment to get the boys haircut next week when ds1 will be at gymnastics!!! Right trying not to get too excited but have just had a 9dpo bfp on an IC! now i know you have all heard this from me before...more than once. But the line is quite dark and came up at about 10 mins. Definately feeling quite pg.... metallic taste for a start so really hoping this is it! Never had a bfp this early! And it definately conincides with all those implantation pains :)
Gonna buy a digi test in the morning...

Yes been taking my progesterone since ov and asperin since a bit before ov. I have a better feeling about this one because i dont have that awful back pain of the first chemical or the faint lines of the second chemical. There is a fairly clear faint pink line and also all these preggo symptoms. I have kinda known for a few days but have been convincing myself otherwise so i didnt get my hopes up. Well they are up now so that line had better not disappear! Gonna rummage for a digi...surely there must be one somewhere!!!

I wouldnt worry about the heart rate, these things arent an exact science im sure. Your scan pics are so girly and they have confirmed one as being girl so i really dont think you have anything to worry about!

Help! My iq has gone dangerously low! I will be at work in my pjs and slippers next :-(

Deaks - I'm so hopeful for you, your symptoms are so promising! The weird dreams is the obvious one for me! FX for a nice clear 'pregnant' on that digi test! Re the baby aspirin, you wean off it gradually - so if you're taking it every 48 hours you could drag it out to every 3 days for a week, then just twice a week for the next week then once the following week or something along those lines. I think I was off mine by the time I was around 8 weeks pregnant.
Inglewood - I think boy/girl heartbeats only differ right before they're born and that's the only truth of that OWT!

Looking for Cotbeds today!! Only 13wks till they are here!!! OMG !! Decided to Co-sleep the twins, but in a cot bed with a divider. One at one end and one at the other with divider at their feet. Anyone know anyone who has ever used one?? They are bigger in the USA and my older SIL's BF used one and loved it. I have 1 crib already and it seems silly to buy another when I will need to buy a cotbed eventually. We used my neices the last time for ds2 and my SIL has since sold it. Also be barely have any space for 2 cribs, so a cot might fit better in our room. My MIL is going to buy the cotbed, so trying not to overdo it!! The sales are on, so decent cotbeds going for £150+ minus the mattress which is around £80! The divider is £30-40. Decsions..........

January 4th, 2012, 03:08 PM
Thanks charlie, homebirthing and nini, im really hoping it is a proper bfp and a sticky one at that. I went to poas again but my urine was so diluted i thought it would be a waste of my digi seeing as the ic was faint so will see how concentrated my pee is later but might just wait for the morning. The ic was the most clear line i have ever had. I mean faint but im pretty sure it was pink and came up at 10 or so mins. FX!!
Homebirthing - i know where aylsham is, we are looking in holt so not far at all! We have found one that we love on the internet so fx its as nice in reality! Have you always lived in norfolk? i spent my childhood there and have always loved it and wanted to move back.... this will be the compromise as we cant leave the london area at the moment. Will be great to have holidays there and start making some roots for the future.
charlie sorry you have had a shitty day... was it stroppy customers or just things not going right? I hate days like that :(
Inglewood, the idea of your babies co-sleeping is just too cute for words! So does that mean when they get too big you can just transfer one into your existing cot?

I am hoping I won't be needing them again before the expiry date and a shame to waste them, I was tempted to keep checking it was at 3+ weeks but dont want to cause myself any worry if it messes up as heard of that happening before. If so just pm me your address and Ill try to pop them in the post tomorrow so you should have them by the weekend in time to start testing for the week increases.

with the heart rate thing i was told that you can tell the sex by the sound of it. girls are more rythmatic like galloping horses and boys are like trains???? i know 1 midwife who used this technique with my dp cousin and told her she was having a girl (she was right) and then the same midwife asked me what i was having with ds2 and i told her i was having a boy and she listened to the heartbeat and said 'oh yes definately boy'

OMG!! bad winds again here tonight, thankfully only lost 1 tile the other day, but if it is to get worse......dreading it, will loose half my ancient old roof! Crap when the house should be up for sale in the next 2 mths..... I spend DAYS in the summer varnishing a huge garden table and 6 chairs and now the cover is ripped and in bits and everytime I look at my poor table and chairs I could cry......

Maybe, NCT have a safababy sleeper, think that's like a divider. You can put it wherever in the cot you need it!
Once they are 6mths, I pray I have sold my house and can put them in separate cots. Even if it's a tight squeeze, at least I won't have any viewers coming to see the house and can fit the 2 in somehow. My uncle has a cot bed that was his grand-daughters, used a few times and has offered me it!! so fab, only need to buy 1 thankfully!

One Born Every Minute actually had me turn my laptop off for an hour! I love it too - though my nose is still running for the few tears I shed. It was the baby who didn't breathe straight away, reminded me of DS2's scary birth.
Inglewood - one of my other FB friends has just had twin boys and I wish you could see the photos. They are absolutely adorable and they lie so close together and often seem to be holding hands or looking at each other. I'm so envious!!

Zanacal I cried at that bit too, I'd be petrified if it were my baby!
I felt quite sorry for the dad tho, well until he started shouting his mouth off and hitting things! I understand him being gutted that he wasn't there for the birth in the end. If it were my dp he wouldn't have let my mum go with me be an option and to be honest I would never have made that choice anyway!
Having said that I'm a huge believer in woman's choices especially in child birth so I can't really moan!

I am recording obem and was supposed to watch it before being bf birth partner - I couldn't bring myself to watch it! Hate things like that! Yuk! I was find as a birth partner, one of the best moments of my life but do scary too as bf had complications and I hated seeing her in pain. She has been my bf for 22 years. I can't stand blood and hysterics ( unless it's me in labour!) I can't stand the antinatal videos either. Women giving birth in the buff and all that jazz. I would give birth in my jeans if I could!

January 4th, 2012, 06:58 PM
He was one angry young man - I hope he can control that temper and set a good example to his boy! My DS2 was born at home and wasn't breathing properly for 15 minutes (he gasped after 5 minutes) - I remember crying 'he's dead'. Such terrible memories. The little monkey was perfectly fine I should add but that's why I would never have an epidural again (I had one with DS1) or even pethidine - with an epidural you get the whole cascade of intervention and pethidine crosses over to the baby. If my guy had been even sleepier than he already was, it doesn't bear thinking about. At least it gives me incentive to just get on with it and grin and bear it :D

Does obem show the details of what going on at the business end? Just read on baby centre they showed a forceps delivery. I don't want to see that in detail nine weeks before I give birth lol! Tried to watch dispatches documentary on late term abortion five days after my ds2 was born. Thought it was something I shouldn't shy away from but I managed two minutes. Wish I had the guts to watch it but I thought I was going to pass out. It was horrific.

Hopeanddream there is an American version of it but most of the ladies end up have epidurals and look so glamourous in labour lol the uk one is quite good, it doesn't show blood etc too much they did show a forceps delivery but you don't see any detail for that just the midwives holding the girl on the bed!
The most detailed shot was of a baby's head crowning but it really wasn't a horribly traumatic vision and lasted about 2 seconds!
Really must get up and go to college :( so tired I could have slept much longer no hum! Have a great day!

Deaks Don't be silly I was convinced I was pregnant this month (even though I couldn't pin point O!! so chances were slim at best) My cycle enventually ended up being 27 days so good chance my attempt was after O. Not saying that you are not pregnant just that TTC is a mindfield and we all have moments when our body plays tricks on us and it's amazing to talk about it on here. I didn't tell anyone in real life how I was feeling. So it's nice to come on here and tell you ladies. I hope you feel the same? You are not a pain at all. Deaks, I never get a true +ve on any IC/DIGI etc until 12dpo+ Even with a faint line 12dpo seems to be my better testing date, esp for digi's! Do u still have a few days before AF was due?? try not worry.... Every one of us has had months thinking we were pg, so sure about it and then not and esp after your recent chemical and the progesterone it must be even harder to understand what's happening to your body some months......*HUGS*

Hi all x
Sorry been AWOL needed to clear my head - things have got to me think it is being back in the real world of school runs etc i didnt really see anyone so no one to bug me but since being back all i have got is gender comments and the fact i keep obsessing over the scan too the pressure all got too much. But feeling a little better feeling stronger about not finding out i think this is the right thing for me to do this time - i am pretty sure its a boy just a feeling i have so think boy and then i wont be disappointed.
Deaks FX for you and a darker BFP i didnt get my + digi till SMU on 10dpo FMU was a not pregnant then SMU was PREGNANT!!!!! How crazy so dont give up lady i have everything crossed for you x x
WAVES to all i will catch up x and i am with those with messy houses! I am too tired to do much at the mo roll on the nesting time then i am on fire :D

No, just swayed like everyone else (posted my sway on here). Dh is a twin (has a sister) , but ID twins are random, only me to blame and only twins on my side was my great-grandmother had twin boy and a girl (girl died).
Did read women who have high dairy intakes are more prone to ID twins???? so watch out ladies.....lol GIRL DIET!!!

amazing pics, inglewood, purely magic :) What do you mean your sister said there were 2? Did she see more than the OB? That would be hilarious... My dh is an OB and he did the first scan everytime, he always moved the cursor around to see if there is more than one sac (we share this secret dream to have twins). Have you had your boys naturally? Most likely you wont get to May, what are the "predictions"? When I delivered my dd, the lady beside me in hospital had delivered 7lbs twin boys at 38 weeks! and even then she hadnt gone into labour, they decided to get them out LOL. They were gorgeous, but I didnt envy her at night time. I kept in touch with her and she managed to breastfeed them for the full 6 months, and they are HUGE! :)

Will be great to have holidays there and start making some roots for the future.

My SIL saw the 2 wee beans on the pic and said that must be 2 babies, we all laughed, but since the US tech said it was only 1 we never thought anymore about it!! Until my 12wk scan.... Both my boys like this pg were natural conceptions, so I can't believe I'm having 2! My Consultant said she will section me at 36wks, both my boys were c-sections, so always knew a 3rd would be another section, so a 3rd and 4th definetly would be! That's nice you keep in touch with the other mum. I'm still friends with a girl in the bed next to me when ds2 was born, she had a girl and our kids were born an hour apart. Her daughter at 10.02am and my ds at 11.02am. I never thought I would have twins, so you never know what's round the corner for us all (you never know). When will you start TTC?

Sunset and baby Serena are well (from FB) they are now in the post-natal ward and I'm sure she is desperate to get home with her!! She's a cutie, looks like a mini sunset!
I used a 'MIA BABY GIRL SPELL' from ebay and I'm sure that's the same one Sunset used. Not sure which one is best, but Mia was lovely and I will know soon enough if it definetly worked!! Been told girls, but waiting till 18th before I can believe it.

i think if im ever blessed to fall pregnant again im not gonna find out what im having (if im strong hahaa) wiv ds1 i was happy he was a boy but i think i always asumed baby #2 would be a girl....when i found out he was a boy for def ( i always knew deep down he was a boy) i got home and cried..so ashamed :( because i would not change him for the world think i was more upset that i wanted a girl so badly and i remember thinking i hope the baby doesnt think i dont love him hahaha but lil Noah is the cutest happiest lil boy and im so proud :) think next time would be a lovely suprise to find out the sex at birth, if its a boy i wouldnt care then as id just be so happy they were here safe..if tht makes sense? xx

wow - I just skimmed through a lot of posts!!!! Can't keep up sometimes. Been running around here like a headless chicken - sewing and baking cakes... DS1's birthday party was today and tomorrow is take 2 party (for just the family - DH is one of 5 so we have to do a separate party).
I don't know where to begin with all the posts....
Hello nini
Ooooh hope Sunset gets to post a piccie of bubba on here sometime :) Fantastic news!!!
Our horrid hot hot weather has died down and its been a pleasant 25 today... Had a great party. I finished the tee pee I made and I'm exceedingly proud of myself and simply have to show you all :D
1083
The kids loved it... although struggled with 5 of them in there :D
Oh question - those of you who had a front placenta in a pregnancy - when did you feel bubs move? Do you feel it less overall or is it just that it takes longer before you feel anything? I know I'm getting to the point where I started to feel movements and wondering what difference a front placenta is going to make. Thanks!
Anyways - I need to get to bed early and pysch myself up for more entertaining tomorrow.

Hi all, 11dpo and not even a sniff of a line. Just been trying to get my head together this end. Feeling very disillusioned about the whole ttc/swaying thing. Want to get pg, want to hold onto the dream of a dd but clearly something has got to give. Dont know whether to hold out for a while longer with the o+12 and some kind of diet or to stop all that and just get stocked up on sudafed and acigel and bd through ov. Anyway hope you are all ok. We are off to Norfolk this weekend hopefully to buy a house so i will have that to look forward to hopefully. Thanks for being there for me, means alot X

pinga, I am so jealous, its around 0 degrees with some snow here, I hate winter :( Well, I have always had anterior (front) ploacentas and have felt my babes confidently around 18 weeks perhaps?
Deaks, lets do next month together! Since I have such a longcycle, we will perhaps o together? You said yourself that you have really only had a couple of real o+12 attempts and you did conceive twice right? so this really is only the 3rd or 4th try? I am so sorry you didnt get that line, although you still CAN, most women dont even test until 14dpo....

actually, sorry, I forgot I cannot attempt this cycle yet as I would have been on diet for long enough.... will attempt at the end of February. I wish I could attempt this cycle, but mustnt mustnt mustnt. I would only regret it later if I hadnt given it the full 6 weeks...starting supplements today and slowly going into the diet, full on diet from next week yikes. but I should also ovulate in late January! so we can monitor our cycles together at least.
What am I going to do on my birthday? 21st January.... what do you drink if you have to cheat? white wine? prosecco?

Hi everyone, hope your all ok, Deaks I hope you get a positive over the next few days, not out till af comes!
Im exhausted, this time of day is awful for me, and DS2 aged 3 and a half had me up in the night a few times then DS2 woke at 6am .......... sooooo tired, this pregnancy best blinking stick for all this lol. Seems a weird thing to say but I miscarried at 13 weeks before so its a long time to go through the symptoms to end up with nothing ifuswim?
Im also doing my school choice for DS2 which is draining, its between a tiny school 11 to a class, or a bigger one 30 to a class - but I worry about if he goes to my origional 1st choice of the smaller one, will he find secondary too big as used to such a tiny school so maybe its best to settle him into a bigger Primary school now while he is more adaptable. Seeing them both Monday before sending in my choice, hope I have a confident answer then. So have my scan at 8am that day and then a school visit at 945 and 11am, busy morning! At least if its bad news I wont have much time to think on it I suppose.
Thats as much as I can write, feel like I could nod off sitting upright lol

There's a lotta tiredness here today! I'm shattered, but I slept like a log last night! Didn't wake at all, if Charlie woke up he didn't make enough noise to wake me at all!!

Afternoon,
Deaks I hope house hunting goes well for you, Love house hunting. Hope you find something that's just perfect!
I really don't know what to say about the tests. Can the progesterone alter your HCG levels do you know?
Well I've decided not to attempt this month. I haven't been taking all my supliments for the last week as I ran out. I've ordered more to arrive soon. Also i've been picking on chocolate far too much this week and I had breakfast today a slice cake (I know WTF). I then ended up chuking the rest of the cake in the bin. I've just been feeling really crap fell out with DP and just don't feel up to TTC let alone swaying and TTC this month. PLus if I did get a BFP would't feel great about it as I've been so strict before now (lost 3lb over xmas think that must be a first in my whole life) just don't want to sway unless it's 100%. So will just bypass this month. and attempt in Febuary.
Sorry to hear about all you sick and tired ladies. Hope you all feel more human soon.

lavenderlime- if you dont feel like swaying this month then that is definitely the right decision for you. especially if you have been doing everything strict the last few weeks! Hope you and your dp can make up again! i hate it when we have arguments but i carnt sulk for too long because he knows how to make me laugh!
yayyy its finally been made a sticky! hated having to look for the thread when it wasnt!
Good news about sunset. Little Serena has been discharged so hopefully sunset will be out soon, so not long till sunsets back at home and telling us about her little miracle!
Hope everyone's okay! sorry for no more personals but you know how it is! our group just seems to be getting bigger & bigger but i often think what will happen when we have all had our babies will we just disappear and get on with our lives or will we still be on here twittering on with the next generation of smog wannabies!

I am just the same....it is so hard. I'm terrified of loosing this one, partly because of the heartache/ grief etc but also because I really feel I have struggled so so much with the m/s and if it were for nothing I would be gutted. With my m/c, it was a missed one and I found out at the 12 week scan, one feeling was total anger that I'd gone through all that sickness and just had to start again.
I'm sure we will get through this and all will be well with our babies, try not to worry but it is good to talk. ((hugs))

Charlie and Indigoviolet - glad someone else understands, felt a bit selfish to be moaning about the hard work of being pregnant for nothing in return instead of crying over the loss of a dream ifuswim ......... I started spotting 2 days before my scan so thankfully never had to endure that scan, that would have been much much worse for me. Like my friend recently, the miscarriage was physically awful, passing out if I tried to get up etc. maybe its because Id already had a child so my body reacted differently, my friends dr told her if its like that we should have gone to hospital. Anyway, Im feeling oddly calm about this pregnancy, I think I stupidly tell myself if I miscarry then it means I wont be pregnant around DS1 starting school so have something positive to grasp onto, and also would mean having a break and ttc again over summer.
Lavenderlime - enjoy the month off ttc, and hope the next month is the one for you!
Hope tomorrow brings some good news for you Deaks. I think if it were me and I was considering what to drop, I think I would drop the timing as thats the least important sway factor as long as you take sudafed or something and lower PH - would give you the same result as O+12 in the sense of little ewcm and lower PH. Hope this is the month for you though
Kell - my OH said I was snoring the other night and he said he heard our son whine and I stopped snoring and went quiet and then our son went to sleep so I started snoring again, he said he couldnt believe that I dont actually 'properly' sleep. Ive always said I sleep with one ear listening and now he knows what I mean lol. Fingers are crossed for a good nights sleep tonight as Im knackered but then wake up evenings, very odd!

Not a good day here. I can hardly breath right now due to dave his head in my chest I think he is streched out full length. Kicking me in cervix I had to stop and gasp in pain picking my son up from school I can't belive my waters didn't go. I feel so yuk then my friend who three kids told me how hard life is with three. Got me quite upset. Dave is supposed to my blessing not a curse. Feel a bit better now though. One kid makes your life harder but we still have them. Besides when it gets to much I can escape to work! Youlovely ladies talking about your losses put things into prospective. Still I wish dave would just turn the right way up and leve my cervix alone!

Oh I hear you, my dd didnt turn until 36 weeks, sooo uncomfortable and also painful because I had SPD and a breech baby makes it worse... hopefully he will turn soon. My dd turned suddenly in the middle of the night which woke me up. I got up and thought what the hell is going on, I seriously thoguht I would explode... it should have been accompanied by a sound, maybe clonk or something like that. I just KNEW she had turned then.
3rd babies have alot of space and dont have to turn until late xx

it must be horrible having a mc, i myself have never had one thank god but i can empathize with you girls! all that planning and then its snatched away. it must be very hard the further the pregnancy!
lavenderlime- if you dont feel like swaying this month then that is definitely the right decision for you. especially if you have been doing everything strict the last few weeks!
Just doesn't feel right. Also I started the girl diet mid Oct but only got super strict the start of Nov and have been 99% strict up until recently because I want it that much. The last few weeks and with eating chocolate on X mas day aswell it's been 95% which I know isn't the the end of the world but but not great and if I concieved and it was a boy i'd kick myself knowing I could have done better. But feel like i've wasted 3 months and could have just waited to start my sway in January. The thing is if had got a BFP my first attempt I would have been so happy as I would have known I had a really strong sway. Just so hard to remain super strict for any ammount of time.
I've decided I don't like swaying very much. It's so hard to function on such a resctricted diet I was such a mess at work tonight it became a bit of joke towards the end my brain was not functioning at all, I always have a sore back all the time now think from the lack of protien and my muscles or something never bothered me before this diet. Just fed up. But now I know about swaying I couldn't TTC with-out swaying.....
Sorry for moaning just feeling crappy all around really.
The DP thing is because the complete lack of effort on my birthday (chcolate think your DH and my DP must have been sharing notes?! lol)
He was just so awful about it in the end it resulted in me crying, anyway he hasn't made any effort since. Just so mad.
It's his Birthday in just over a week so i'm just going to make an over the top effort. I always make an effort. But i'll go a little ott fill his van with balloons and glitter and birthday junk, just be overly nice bake a ridiculous cake decorated to the nines, make a banner with the kids, go big fat gypsy birthday on him :D hopefully he may get the point!!
Anyway enough rambling about me night x

Deaks - really hope that BFP turns up!!! you poor thing... the am I/aren't I is stressful!
Maybe - ouch - sounds like bubba is misbehaving!! Hope he stops bashing into your cervix!
Oh hope you're right nini and 3 is the same as 2. There are some days when both boys are off the wall at the same time and I think oh my gawd... how are we going to do this with another one :D I'm sure we'll just go into coping mode!!
Survived the second party for Ernie... the family one today. Went well but DH and I are knackered and the kids are a bit deliriously overtired! Grandfather hypes them up hugely! So am going to go to bed nice and early...
first things first... kids to bed soon... :)
Kell
January 7th, 2012, 04:57 AM
Pinga glad the party's went well! Hope the boys all slept well!
Lavender I'm sorry your feeling so down about swaying, it hasn't been a waste, just helping you to get to know your cycles 100%, having a break is fine if it helps you to feel better about things! I hope it does!
As for your dp what an arse! I don't think I'd go over the top with his birthday I'd be inclined to do completely the opposite and almost forget about it. Maybe get him something pretty insignificant from the kids and that's it! But then I'm a cow lol!
This pregnancy so far I've gone completely off sex, which for me is pretty unusual but I've woke twice this week mid orgasm, I wouldn't mind but my dreams aren't particularly sexual while this has happened! Can't complain tho I suppose I'm getting the good feeling without having to do the deed lol!
Amazing what pregnancy does to us huh!
What's everyone's plans for the weekend? We don't have much on, ds1 is with his dad this weekend so just me ds2 and dp, dp is going off out today so just going to chill out do some cleaning and some course work! Might go see my dad as well!

Chocolate, did you have the same user name on Plumlily? I think we mailed before? I thoguht you were going to ttc in spring, did you change your mind? Did you sway at all?
Are there any attempts and outcome statistics on this site? And does anyone know an easy way to trace new posts that have been made to yourown posts? I havent quite worked things out here yet ;) Thanks.

Lavenderlime, I'd do the same as Kell, make as little a fuss as possible, get him a small gift. My Dh is usually ok at birthdays, always asks me what I would like and gets it, makes more of an effort at xmas with surprise gifts, but birthdays are usually quiet but nice. We did go to Rome for my 30th a few yrs ago, but I had to do all the arranging! For Dh's b'day we used to go to his work and while he wasn't at the van decorate it stupidly, but we only have 1 car now which he uses to get to work to collect the van (isn't allowed van home), so I ain't using the bus to do it....think the boys missed doing it this year!! Do the opposite of what u usually do for him, might make more of an impact?
I used to have a few 'off' days when swaying, it's tough and I can't imagine having to do it over xmas, so a few days of what u like is good for the soul...keeps you going. If I hadn't of cheated a day here and there after OV I would off completely gone off the waggon!
Babymad, how are you? been thinking of you, wondering how you are? Glad u had a lovely time away!
Kell, I go through phases I can and can't be bothered with sex. Still waiting on this increased sex drive you read about....think I missed it!!! lol It's getting a bit more 'difficult' now tho! lol But Dh says he doesn't mind, know he prob does, just being kind about it. He knows that it's not c'os I don't want to, just getting awkward!!! Enjoy ur weekend.
Sunset, hope Serena's 1st night at home went well? and ur both well?
Maybe, I get this 'furry feeling' as I call it lol.... when it seems like a baby is digging down into my cervix, usually when on the laptop/ leaning forward. It's a horrible feeling....can be uncomfy too. Hope baby Dave leaves ur cervix alone!! lol
LWM, still feeling sick?? Might be a 'girly' sign for you if u weren't sick with the boys? I was sick with ds2 and the twins, not ds1, but to have 2 pg's with no MS, now u have it! FX it's a girly sign for u!
Charlie, how are u keeping?
Z, what time is your scan on tues? My mum was coming with me, but Dh might get home earlier, mine's at 2.30pm. Boys keep asking when they can see the babies on the TV!! Bless. Can't wait till 18th to surprise them! think we will take them sledging b4 we go. I will need to watch :( They got lovely new sledges for xmas....and NO snow!! plenty of wind tho, they could prob go on the sand and get blown up the beach!!! lol
Deaks, how are u? any news?
Hi to everyone else! and any newbies I have missed!
May have found a car! It's thankfully only 40 miles away, so might go up tomorrow and see it. I've always bought from big name garages, but this is a smaller family run garage, so not sure if they will trade in our car, if so what will we get for it etc... We got out current car for £11,000 18mths ago. It's now 3yrs old and the garage we bought it from only want to give us £7,300!!! almost £4k loss in 18mths....NO CHANCE! the only prob with the new car, well MPV!! is it doesn't have tinted windows or Alloy's which are HIGH on dh's list of musts!!! Told him to pack in the cigs and he can add these things. (I wish) It's a 6 seater, which suits us better, alot of the 7 seaters don't have any boot space and the ones that do have high insurance and tax. It's also another Diesel, a Honda and in Black which was more of Dh's tick boxs! lol Basically our car, same engine, but with 6 seats. Downside to MPV's is you have to buy with higher mileage and a bit older to get a bigger car. But hope it lasts just over 3yrs till car loan paid off then we can choose a new car Dh really wants and not need to worry about boot space for a twin buggy! Stresses me out as I'm the 'finances' person in the house, Dh ain't got a clue!! about ANYTHING! Bills etc....he couldn't even guess what we pay. He just gives me his wages into our joint acct minus his cig money and that's his job done in his eyes!!! lol
Have a great weekend ladies! x

Hi Inglewood, I hope the car is as good as it sounds! We have a 6 seater too - I don't like seats in boots as it worries me how close the children there would be if a car drove up behind us. It's illogical really as the same would apply if something hit us from the side!! My scan is at 11am on Tuesday. My birthday is Wednesday so DH and I are making a day of it on Tuesday and going out for lunch after. I'd like to go shopping too but I don't think we'll have time because we need to be back for school pick-up! DS1 is nagging me to come to one of my scans so I'm really tempted to book a 4D scan, if only they weren't quite so expensive!

Hi all,
FINALLY posted on IG been trying since my scan.....of course no one has replied now lol! YAY for scans on tuesday Inglewood am sure they will still be little ladies :D and Z yay for early birthday lunch. We took the boys to a 4dscan - i got it for my birthday they loved it the lady was really good with ds1 who was totally bowled over!
Hope you are all having a good weekend - DH actually off today - i got a lie in and a nap lol needed it as i get headaches in the 2nd tri and they have started already...4head is great but usually it has to be the thick strips you cant go out in that i need not the stick!!
Sunset - hope you are enjoying every second with your gorgeous little girl x

Inglewood, I was thinking of a 6 seater, one where the front have 3 seats and the back 3, think a honda is one, but do you know of any that are set up like that but also have an extra one or 2 in the boot that would fold down? Id prefer a 6 seater so wouldnt have to use the boot seats when OH joined us for outings once we have all 4 kiddies, but sometimes I may need to use extra seats so would be handy to have boot seats that fold down...... not sure if one like that exists - an 8 seater but with 3 in front?
Charlie - hope you get some girly guesses soon.
Hi to everyone else too.
Had another exhausting day here, thankfully OH has been great today which rarely happens, I took DS1 to the cinema and he had DS2, and sorted the washing, then I came back with food shop and he put it away, then I went to get waxing done so he took the kids to the park so when I came back the house was empty for an hour, bliss!
Finding it hard to be a good patient Mummy when this tired and over-worked, think I need to start having some me time to just appreciate my kids a bit more, me time just gives me that small time off I need.

chocolate - DH says there's no car like that (unless you get a Landrover Defender!). The Honda and the Fiat Multipla (which I have) are the only 2 he thinks have 3 seats in the front and 3 seats in the back.

A VW Caravelle or something close to a Mini Bus will have 8 seats - a lady at work has a VW Caravelle and I'm always jealous of it, mainly for the sliding back door made for school runs!!

yeh still feeling sick! was fine today until i had something to eat and then just felt terrible again. kept burping and it tasted like sick! havent actually vomited yet tho. im hoping it may be a girly sign but dont want to read to much into! i sailed through all my pgs without any symptoms except suffering from acne. i felt great but this one i arnt so good! still have the acne but my boobs are like rocks and my nipples are like bullets! so sore to touch and slightly lumpy! When i had my scan the other week baby was on the left hand side but im not sure where the placenta was located so carnt rely on the ramzi theory!

Chocolate, The car we are going to see is a Honda FRV, 3 seats at front and 3 at back. The middle seats on both rows slide back and you still have boot room for a twin buggy! My friend had one, she has twin girls and 2 other kids and LOVED it! Hopefully perfect?? Go see it tom, my mum taking boys so we can look in peace!
Z, think I read somewhere the layout was modelled on ur Multipla. Dh is DESPERATE for a VW caravelle, but would need to win the lotto for one of those, although they are FAB!! Will be thinking of you at 11am and how excited and relieved you will be when you come out and to hear GIRL a second time (know u will for sure, esp with the gender scan u had) and then you can go shopping for PINK if u get time! Have a great birthday too!!! enjoy time with hubby! My 4d scan is £122, with 2 colour pics and a 5min dvd. Not bad when the ordinary gender scan alone is £89! We got a discount, but it's usually £135 (I think). My mum gave me £30 towards it as she knew how pricey it was, bless :) 12 sleeps to go, although I will be asking again on tues and every 2wks after that!!! lol
Charlie, glad u got a well deserved lie in!! My boys got up and fed themselves today and then ds2 came in at 9.45am to ask if he could play the Ds!! Couldn't believe it!! Ds1 is 9, he had got them apple juice and cereal and they watched a harry potter movie, said they got up at 8.20am!! I live in a bungalow and the living room is right opposite my bedroom, so I always hear them, or ds2 comes in beside me!! Pls don't call social services!!! lol Bad mum!

Hi ladies!!!! have I missed you all!! :HH: I hope you dont mind if i still hang around, i do feel very close to you all and you have all been amazing support to me this last year and a half! so thank you, i dont know what i'd do without the amazing support of you ladies!
I was finally discharged last night after what has been a very scary 6 days of which i spent 3 days in critical care before i was moved over to high dependency. the induction was lovely though and only took 3,5 hours :) i will write a birth story later :) dd has been seen by 2 doctors now because of my chicken pox infection and they're both happy with her :) she's a perfectly healthy little girl with a strong set of lungs :p she is an absolut spit of ds1 and has her daddy's feet bless her!! My blood pressure is still high so i'm still on medication to keep it under control. I have been told it can take anywhere from a few weeks to several months before it goes back to normal. I've always said I would like to have 4 children and that is still my dream but this experience has put things into perspective for me.. I have these 3 beautiful children and i don't want them to grow up without their mummy so if we ever do try for a 4th child it will be something we have to take into careful consideration first. My health has to come first and even though the chance of getting pre eclampsia twice is small, it's still a chance i'm not sure i'm willing to take.
Hope you're all doing well! I tried to catch up on your posts but i had over 24 pages to read!!! that will take me some time :P can anyone please give me a quick update on what's been happening? any bfp's this last week? :)
i will post some pictures tomorrow when i've had rhem transfered from my camera :)

Sunset glad your home and ok. I have a few signs of pe starting again but had this a few weeks back and it didn't happen. You don't need to think about another baby for the next 12 months at least. If you was to try again you could ask to see a consultant via APEC. You might also think about taking your birth over with someone. It did scare the life out of me with ds1 hence the age gap between the boys. I feel I really know the desease now and it no longer scares me. If I get it now I'm prepared.

Thanks ladies for all your lovely comments! :)
Maybebaby ~ I think you are so strong to have put your fears behind you! I was never prepared for how fast it all went downhill and how scary it was to all of a sudden have no control of what was happening to me and what other people were doing to me. I look in the mirror now and it's quite scary what I see, needle pricks everywhere, bruising on my arms from being strapped to the blood pressure machine, bruising on my hand from where the iv drip caused it to get inflamed etc etc. the list goes on. It really helps to read about your experience with pe and I'm keeping my fx you won't develope it again!
Kell ~thank you! No she hasn't got chicken pox.. I got infected with chicken pox when I was 19 weeks pregnant with her so had to have extra scans and such since chicken pox infection in pregnancy can lead to birth defects
Petal ~ it is strange! This girl is going to grow up with a complex the amount of times I've called her mr/little man lol and I'm still a bit in shock when I change her nappy :p aww I can't believe he is in size 2 nappies already! Time flies! I can't believe dd is a week old tomorrow!

Gosh sunset lucky little princess you got there!
How are the boys with her?
Ds2 is obsessed with dispicable me at the moment, we've got it recorded in our room, so he takes himself off to my bed and demands 'fluffy' because of one scene in it. It's driving me mad, I must have watched it 3 or 4 times yesterday! Off to see some friends today, might rope dp into eating out as well! I seem ok to eat at the moment so should be ok!
