Hi everyone,
Popped on to read through all the posts and I can't keep up!
Babymad - hope you are beginning to feel a little easier with your news. I completely understand how you feel and went through GD with DS2. I have my scan next week and I'm absolutely dreading it. Big hugs x
Charlie & Pinga - can't believe we're nearly half way!!! Pinga, I've just noticed I share your due date. Mine was confirmed 20th too at my 12 week scan.
Sunset - loving the pictures of Serena, she's adorable and good news you're nearly off the medication
Deaks, keeping everything crossed for your attempt. It's just got to be your month x
Hi to everyone else.
Just looking at the discussion on cravings and worrying that I'm not in to fruit that much this time apart from grapefruit juice (although it has to be pink - for the taste not the pink factor!), I suppose because it's sour. This time I've completely gone off red meat (and eat loads of burgers etc when pg with DS1 and DS2) and not keen on chocolate (although I've had some but it leaves a thick salivary taste in my mouth afterwards - funny as I was a chocoholic before). I just want anything salty - peanut butter, salt n vinegar crisps, pretzels, marmite on toast and drinking lots of decaf coffee but gone off wanting tea.
Very interested in all these predictions, I've never been brave enough to have anything like that done but sounds very intriguing.
Life here has been very hectic lately. We're about to have our kitchen done and make the dining room/kitchen in to one. I've wanted it done since we moved in here 9 years ago. We've had to borrow more money to do it and now mortgaged to the hilt! Not the best time to do it but it will make a big difference in years to come especially as the children want to be when I'm cooking. Think I'm going to take the boys to my mum and dad's for a week whilst the building work is being done and hoping my mum will help me out and give me a bit of a break.
We're starting to think too about bigger cars. Ideally I'd like to put all 3 children on the back seats but like the idea of a 7 seater too. Is there such a car out there where you can get all 3 on the back row? Any advice much appreciated. DH and I not really car people so have no idea where to start! xxx

Hey all just a quick one, scan showed bubs is there and growing so very happy! She thought placenta to right so = boy!! But she seemed confused about how to tell which side so not thinking much of if it is to the right - but I do now think boy and am ok with that, feel no different. Placenta is to the front so hard to hear heartbeat too

Glad your scan went well Chocolate x

Nice to hear from you maybe. I think most bigger cars will fit three seats in the back. Depends more on the car seat than the car.

Sunset serena is a real cutie!! Love the outfit! I would have no class if I had a dd. She would be in bright pink Lacey puffball type ott outfit.

Thought of another name, Ashton - what about that one?

I love skylar for a girl. Lovely name. But my gave girl names are Shannon, Hazel and scarlet. Maybe dave can have Shannon as a middle name? Lol been waiting to use that name for eight years now .

Oh I'm 34 weeks today! Got a great marking at work for my yearly review! Three working weeks left! Yippie! Ds did great in his parents eve and all is sweet in my life today!

Indigo dh says he sees you running past him on the school run so even though you feel yuk, you most certainly look great ;-)

Inglewood ~ I craved coca cola in my pregnancy and i’ve never been a big fan of fizzy drinks either. I’m recording call the midwife. Haven’t got around to watch it yet though

Indigoviolet ~ yay for 12 weeks :D

Chocolate ~ glad to hear the scan went well! Did you get a picture?

Maybepink3 ~ how lovely to hear from you! Wow you’re nearly halfway! :D are you finding out gender or staying team green?

Maybebaby ~ Ashton is really nice! :agree: :) i cant believe you're 34 weeks! Dave will be here before you know it :D

Deaks ~ how did your attempt go?

I don't think it is that easy to find a car where you can fit 3 'proper' carseats along the back! We have a Fiat Multipla but the others which come to mind are VW Touran, Renault Scenic - all the cars my DH considers to be suitable for an old man!!

maybebabythree
January 27th, 2012, 06:17 AM
Deaks I can get three in the back of my zafria and astra but two are high back boosters. Not sure two newborn and a three point forward facing one would fit. Childminder has a voyager and she could fit five massive car seats easy in the back. Handy they have sliding doors because then it's a bit too big to fit in a standard parking space. My zafria is thinner and maybe shorter too? If you get a expensive car seat like my maxi cosi then your right, it's going to be hard. I plan to sit in the back when we all go out in the middle but the pain then is climbing over a car seat. Might have to get ds2 just a booster but they don't look as safe.

We can fit 3 car seats in the back of both our cars, we have a vauxhall zafira and a kia sorento. When DS3 was little i had a babyseat with isofix and 2 pretty biggish seats with 5point harnesses in the Zafira. We are now onto 2 highback boosters and one with a 5point harness. The sorento we only got recently and as its a 4x4 its pretty wide and easily fits 3 seats in back.

Cars - now I may be handy as I childmind so have various car seats. I have a Zafira and try to only use 5 seats. My middle seat is only a lap belt so is an issue, however I have a britax 5 point harness seat which just uses the lap belt, I then have another britax next to it, and a high back booster the other side Not sure about newborn seats going next to the one in the middle? Not with those 9 month to 4 year seats either side. To do that you'd be best with a high backed booster in the middle (if u have a 3 point seat belt?) some have 5 point harnesses attached so from 9 months up too 11 years, or you can use a normal belt when older.

I was going to get a renault grand espace but the engines are prown to blowing up! Chryslers are so practical, but expensive to run and fix. We would prob. go for a Galaxy but would pay extra tax and insurance so try to stick with the Zafira.
Id ask Mothercare

chocolate, I'm glad the scan went well. Re: Ramzi, if the tech seemed unsure, I'd say it's still a 50/50 chance of boy/girl, though if your gut tells your boy, and you're good with that, I think it's totally awesome :) My heart is very open to either, though of course I did sway girl.

January 27th, 2012, 02:46 PM
Chocolate whatyear is your zafria? Mines 52 Reg so i think a newer modal would have a proper middle seat belt. I don't like using the seats in the back as then you loss most of the boot and the pram and shopping are in the way if you want get out. Also it's a pain to get out one of the normal doors. I normally run my cars into the ground before getting another but ideally I want a four seater car for work and school run and a newer mpv for family days. I really don't like the lap belt. Apart from that my zafria is great. Basic but very reliable car that never breaks down or needs repairs.

Glad the scan went well! It's always so reassuring to see them! :)

Well tomorrow is the day of the family photo for my nan's birthday present, I've been trying to find something to wear been quite stressed! there's nothing like looking fat not pregnant! I'm starting to notice that my bump is coming along, but to notice you have to wear the right clothes! I've found a nice dress to wear with leggings which actually makes me look pregnant :)

I found the babies heartbeat for ds1 to listen to this afternoon, he was amazed! His face was a picture! Ds2 had a listen as well which was cute! But he doesn't understand it all at the moment!

Auroara and LMW - I was quite dissapointed with the scan, literally 3 mins of seeing bubs and listening to heart beat! She thought I meant was the placenta to the left or right of the baby, then I told her it also has to be reversed, then she said but how do I say left, my left, your left, scan left........ I said if its left or right on picture printed, or left or right of my womb - she then goes so placenta to the right what does that mean, so I said boy ........... who knows if she had already reversed that, or if she was going by her knowing it was on my womb right, confused!!

I didnt get a pic, they did it in 3d/4d and it was funny because she was like 'can you see it' and Im like 'yeah ........ its a blob' lol.

Maybebabythree - yes mine is 52 reg, the next year would have had a 3point seat belt! I think Mondeo's can fit 3 car seats along the back, worth googling or try posting on a parenting forum like netmums. There is a Honda car that is a 6 seater, 3 in the front and 3 in the back

Ah chocolate, that's so annoying. Why don't sonographers understand that gender can be a very sensitive subject for some mums. I tried to ask at my 12 week scan and got a very firm 'it's too unreliable at this stage, wait for your 20 week scan'. Didn't feel I could ask for a nub shot or anything after that! x

Chocolate, glad ur scan went well!!! My placenta at 6wks 1 day was middle at the top but it was a vaginal scan. So was 50/50 for me. Don't they say it's reversed???? My placenta is now at the right side. We are desperately hunting a 6 seater Honda FRV with no luck :( x

Hi all, well been signed off work now indefinetly! Only 26wks, but babies here in 10wks and my Haemoglobin was low at 9.0, no wonder I've been sleeping most mornings once boys at school! Been started on Ferrous Fumarate, nasty stuff, my gastritis is playing up with shocking heartburn (bringing up mouthfuls of rusty acidic vomit) Sorry if tmi!! and having oespaghus pains and I only took 1 tab!!! Will give it over the weekend, if still causing tummy probs will call gp for an alternative or coated tablet. To take 3 per day!! Bring on the laxatives too!!! nightmare. Only ever took Iron after my sections before. Babymad and anyone else, what did u all take in pg for low Iron levels?

Saw the physio for a support belt today and got a lovely 'jock strap' type contraption ordered for my varicose vein in my 'unmentionables' as Maybe calls it!! lol

Hope ur all well?

Deaks, did u attempt?

Lavender, sounds interesting. I saw someone who said 'emeralds' would be very significant to me this year and saw me with 'new life'...these babies are due May (emerald birthstone). So u never know.

Charlie and Indigo, hope that pain settles soon and u get plenty rest.

I found out that the birth stone of April is indeed a RUBY!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OMG, so shocked! Meant to be?? well one of their names anyway. The day we found out it was possibly girls,we got in the car and that song 'Ruby' was playing by ?? Kaiser chiefs was on the radio when we started the car....lol We burst out laughing!

Hi to everyone else, think I'm on a nappy buying addiction!! Lol All these baby events! Got paid today, so going to get some stuff next week, starting with a nursing pillow to help feed babies after my section, even tho they will be bottle fed, takes alot of weight off supporting them. Dh watching pirates of the carribean, I have lost interest in it!!

Off to bed, nite ladies. xx

Oh Inglewood, you poor thing. Seems like you have everything going on. Well, home is definately the best place now and you can relax a bit more at least. I was on iron tablets with DS2. Mentioned it to docs this time as I was feeling a bit lethargic but didn't want to go back on the tablets. Instead I bought some liquid sachets. Got them in Tesco on a 3 for 2. They're called Spatone and recommended during pregnancy. I read that the liquid version is much better and fewer side effects than the tablets but docs don't prescribe them as they're expensive. Might be worth asking? xx

Inglewood ruby is definatly ment to be! Your support belt sounds delightful lol, hope it does the trick, I know various veins can get quite sore.
Do you think work will force you into early maternity leave if your signed off too long? Can't believe it's only 10weeks till u could meet them!

I was on the phone to mum yesterday, she reads tarot cards for herself and friends etc, apparently she's adement this baby is a girl because of her readings, so much so she's been out buying bits already lol, I hope she's right! There's no denying they do quite often turn out to be right!

Deaks hope your attempt went well :)

Hugs to everyone! Hope you all have a lovely weekend!

Maybepink, Thanks! That might be worth a look! Even if I have to pay for them. About to take my 2nd tab, fell asleep last night watching TV, Dh was up at 5am, so he went to bed early. I woke up at 4am!!! so missed the evening tablet. Wish me luck!! yuck!

Kell, sounds like ur mum knows!! Exciting! My mum has 4 grandsons, so she's been out buying lots of girly things already!! Thankfully, My work are good and won't make me start my mat leave early if signed off :)

Have a great weekend! x

Kell - ah bless - hearing the heartbeat must seem pretty amazing to your DS1. My DS1 knows I have a baby in my tummy... problem is he thinks DH has one in his tummy too and even one in his tummy! Sigh!

Maybepink - How funny we share the same due date :D Do you usually go early/late/ontime? I've had a 35.5 and a 38 weeker....
Oh when is your scan? Mine is on Friday next week - I am counting the days down... even though I know I will hear 'boy'.

Inglewood - oh dear - doesn't sound like you are that comfortable! But WOW only 10 weeks!!!!! I took iron tablets during my 1st pregnancy. I had to take one every other day - I never had a single problem. I used this ePharmacy - Ferro-Gradumet Tablets 30 (http://www.epharmacy.com.au/product.asp?id=4776). Not sure if you can get it in the UK? I'm sure the other ladies will be of more use! :D

Went to a birthday party today! It was in one of those indoor play centres and it was really hot! 35 degrees outside and the playcentre was a heat trap! Poor sweaty children. Never understand how they can seem so oblivious to the heat and run around still?!?

Inglewood - bless you and your support band/jockstrap for the unmentionables hope they help x as to the iron issue DH is a pharmacist he always recommends getting sytron a liquid form of iron which is absorbing easier and doesnt give you constipation - mainly given to children but why oh why dont they prescribe it to preggy ladies i dont know. Ask the doc about it Sytron - medicines and drugs - NHS Choices (http://www.nhs.uk/Conditions/Anaemia-iron-deficiency-/Pages/MedicineOverview.aspx?medicine=Sytron)

Chocolate - i think the ramzi theory is all a little confusing because there are so many variables so dont worry yet x x glad all went well though :D

maybepink - eeeeeeeeee scan next week FX FX FX for you x
Kell - <3 for the heartbeat DS1 loves listening too bless your ds2 lovely he joins in though x hope the photos go well x bet you look lovely but yep so with you on the feeling poochy/fat not so obviously pregnant right now!!!

charlieispy
January 28th, 2012, 05:51 AM
it is fine btw for pregnant ladies - and prescription so free x x he always tells me to make them give me that!!

pinga - OMG how hot!!! Those places are bad enough in the uk!! And yes kids dont seem to notice - mine never want to eat at parties like that either just PLAY!!!!! FX for your scan too i hope you are pleasantly surprised :D Cant believe you are nearly half way!!! Who will be next after you and maypink?

Kell - hope your mum is right :D am still waiting for my tarot reading to be emailled.................come on already!! lol

AFM - just busy week funeral, then DH working till late tues, me at work till 10 doing some crap training weds, in work at 6on thurs then a committee meeting in the evening then i picked up my buggy friday PHEW!!! DH is off today as he booked it as holiday but working tomorrow.....he is off to watch the man u liverpool match with a friend but has PROMISED to be home for dinner......so me and my friend are off with her dog and my dog and rabble to a national trust place......walk then scones i think!
Also trying to support DH in leaving his job if possible he is so stressed and unhappy what he wants is to move to the USA as he passed all the exams but they dont seem to be taking foreign pharmacists......we are looking into him going self employed and locumming but its a risk a BIG one with 3+1 kids a house and a morgage but i cant see him so close to breaking :( going to ask my dads advice as he runs his own business - i think it will work but it is scary too x anyway enough about me off to bathe with ds3 who unless in the bath is causing havoc!!

Charlie, thanks for the Sytron info, checked it out and sounds alot better!! Will ask my gp to prescribe that.
My Dh fell out with me last night as I won't consider moving abroad, to Canada, USA or OZ!! Is he daft???? with 2 babies on the way? He tells me I'm boring etc... and he hates living around here. He forgets that to move abroad it would be totally down to me to sort out as I'm a nurse and he doesn't have ANY qualifications, so without me he couldn't go very far!! He's totally taken the huff and not spoken to me since, came home from work and he's went to bed as he was up at 5am.. He's a total pain to bring this up when I have 10wks to go, fretting about moving this year. I couldn't leave my job till April 2013 to pay back mat leave, so what does he want from me??? Says I worry about money to much and shouldn't, but if I had his attitude we would be bankrupt and as he can't even tell u how much we pay for ANY bill, I would be stressed out my head. Why can't he just be happy to let our kids grow up a bit, then consider it. Sorry.....rant over!! xx

Indigo, hope ur having a good day? I've played many games of Kerplunk, smashed potatoes and painted....back aching as I've sat for so long!! lol But was fun. x

Thanks too Pinga! x

charlieispy ~ i'm sorry to hear your dh is so stressed with his job :( i hope your dad can give you some good advice regarding having his own business :agree:

Uprooting is very difficult... the immigration process was no picnic (I'm not even done yet... just can't afford the last step of becoming a UK citizen yet, too expensive....)
You both would have to really want to do it because it can be a little intense!

I came this way rather than husband moving to the US because his parents were elderly and mine are not. His father passed away when my son was 4 months old.
My grandfather passed away a week to the day of my father in law (2010)... so, so heavy. I ended up going home to America less than a week after my father in law's funeral, and my family planned my grandfather's funeral nearly a month after he passed so I could organize myself enough to get my flights pushed earlier to go...
But then, I stayed there for three months (I was on maternity leave) and so my husband missed out on my son's life from 5 months to 8 months. :(

Inglewood - what a terrible time for you DH to be thinking about moving overseas!!!! Its a big, longwinded process when its just you and DH but when you add children... and 4 children at that.... it is BIG! I moved over to Australia 5 years ago and I had quite a huge application. You also have to have thought it through so carefully. I met a lovely Scottish girl over here who was heading back to Scotland after having a baby as she just missed home and family support too much. It is really hard as well. Its taken me a while to get myself settled in and with a nice group of friends. Its such a huge uprooting... esp when you don't know anyone! My Dad passed away about 7 months after I got here and I hated being here for a bit. Loads of people come out to Oz and adore it. Very outdoorsy and laid back.

That said - DH and I decided over the holidays that we're going to move to the UK probably at the start of next year :D DH is Australian and all his family is here but he loves being in Europe - and prefers the British way of thinking. After 5 years here I can see the positives to the UK and Australia. There are things I love about both and things I hate about both. The grass will always seem greener in the other place :D I will never miss the bugs here though. They get these HUGE spiders - bigger than your handspan - harmless but frigging scary! Just wait til the twins arrive - your DH won't have a chance to think about anything let alone moving abroad!

These are the shorts I made for my friend's daughter's 3 year old birthday. I used my DS1 as a model (poor thing). The top is from Pumpkin Patch. Don't know why I do it to myself - it kind of makes me sad to make things that I want to be making for my own DD :( I have some cute animal fabric too so I'll make the boys some....
12651266

Anyways - we're still hot hot here at 35 degrees :P Can't wait for it to cool down... :)

Gosh sometimes I wonder if men think things like this through properly! Moving house in the same country is hard enough never mind moving country with 4 kids! I always humour oh when he says things like that, if he ever actually came back with more than the thought I'd be very surprised! I've said before I'm happy to move abroad but he would have to sort everything! Needless to say we are still here!

Charlie hope you day improves!

Sunset Awww she's a dot! My boys were both bigger than that at birth!

Pinga love the shorts!

Afm- well I put baby lotion on my face yesterday and now my eyes have gone nasty again! I'm gutted, this makeup thing has made my eyes so sensitive I haven't put anything on my face for 4 months and I'm gonna have to go

Sunset The first things are newborn and quite small. The white sleepsuits are 0-3 and so are the outfits. I think I can spare 7 0-3 vests as well but might have to have a count up. The newborn things I think I will be done with by the time you have your baby and I can also spare the 0-3 rompers as I have more of those I'm sure. Let me know if you like anything and I will put it aside for you. I have hats as well - if you need some hats just let me know. All free if you want them. I just need to work out how much it will cost to post to you - apart from the limit cost of postage (my treat as well). Just ley me know what you need / like the look of.

Sorry Sunset - I keep on getting mixed up - sure you don't want another baby ;¬)

Indigo - My DH will be the one with a costa in one hand and a fag in the other, looking like he couldn't run if his life depended on it, as I'm sure he is smoking again.

Amazinly he did a 10k around hyde park a few years back with no training and made good time - almost beat my marathon running sister and he's about four stone overweight. I think he was just thinking about his next fag.

Hope scan goes well Indigo!

wow maybe - can't believe you are nearly 35 weeks!!! Wow that seems to have gone so fast! :D You'll be meeting your little chappie in no time? Do you have a name/names choices for him??

Kell - that is such a gorgeous picture!!!

Well - I had a scan today. It was a routine kidney scan (I have a kidney condition) and the sonographer showed me a quick look at baby while she was checking out my bladder. I joked - I don't suppose you can tell us what it is...?? Hoping she could... but she said it wasn't her place to say but she did have a good idea what it was! Arghhhhhh!! Ah well - only have to wait until Friday. Had a bit of a wobble after the scan - felt very teary and upset at the prospect of boy #3. Sigh... I just want to be put out of this uncertainty. Roll on Friday!!!!!!!!!

Anyway - I have been soooo dizzy all day. I'm heading to bed really early.

Hi all!

Suregena and Pinga, Dh 'kinna' apoligised for his tantrum and said, even moving elsewhere in Scotland would be better than hanging around here! But I need my mum more than EVER!! men!! I grew up round this area (8miles away) and it's ok, but no where is 'amazing' esp in a recession. We both have decent jobs etc... why can't he just be content, at least till babies a bit older?? I think it's selfishness, buggar anyone else if he's not happy! Sorry to hear u both lost family after ur moves abroad. Must be so tough, I see it alot when families try to get home to see ill loved ones and racing back. My MIL lived in a wee place called Bundaberg in Queensland but came home too after a few yrs as her husband (was was scottish, moved out there age 17) wanted to retire in Scotland. My SIL lived in Perth in Oz for 5 yrs, came home when her son was born as hated being so far away with 2 kids and her Dh worked off-shore. I should tell him to sort out all the immigration and see how far he gets, he can't even buy new car insurance!!

Pinga, Shame she wouldn't even give u a clue at ur scan!! boo!

Kell, hope ur face clears up! ouch! What a cutie u have there!! lovely pic.

Maybe, cute clothes.... my Dh smokes, I hate it!! He smokes outside rain or snow, but he comes in stinking!! The boys beg him to give up, but people with addictions are selfish like that, he's got to want to do it! I smoked when I met him, but gave up as soon as I knew I was pg with ds1 (my surprise baby). Never looked back. I've told him when the babies are born, he'll have to come in wash his hands and rinse his mouth before coming near them.

Dh put a fire on and burnt a hole in the carpet last night as he went outside to get more wood and a small log jumped out since he forgot to put the fire guard on!!!! IDIOT!! Just before the house goes up for sale, typical!! going to see new carpets today, or rugs???

Sunset, she's coming on a wee treat!! x

Babymad, hope ur better?

Indigo.....Enjoy ur scan, can't wait for pics!!!!!! xx

Oh wow wishing so they do, you know I didn't clock that! Yep they share a room, infancy until we get the loft conversion all the kids will share for a short period!
Small world huh! Where do you guys live? We could try and get out boys together some time! They can run round like but cases and we can not lol!

Finally managed to sit down for 5 seconds to catch up. We live in a small village west of Cambridge, although moving soon when they can sort a date. Will def have to arrange to meet up once i've moved, my boys certainly need to run off steam :) . Hows your eyes today? Must be a nightmare, won't be using that concealer! thanks ladies for all the luck. We had a lovely time at the scan and happy healthy baby seen! so happy and relieved. I'm sure I saw a pretty obvious boy nub at one point but the pics don't show. As soon as we saw the baby I strongly thought 'boy' but time will tell, I still have a little hope! We did ask her if she'd have a guess and she said they wern't allowed to to avoid dissapointment. She was lovely though and one of the nicest scans we have had. Will post pics later!

Indigo Glad your scan went well:)

Can I just ask is there a blood test that the DR.s can do to check that you are ovulating? Or that you have ovulated in your cycle It's just with the midcycle spotting and AF now being 5 days late I'm starting to think I didn't ovulate. I also couldn't pin point O in my Dec cycle.

here is my cara reading be warned its long but VERY good

Hi Charlie here is your full reading xxx
I always begin every reading I do in the same way- with a bit of an explanation about the kinds of things I do, a little bit about me and about what you can expect to hear from me today. As each reading I do is very individual and I am obviously unsure if you have ever had a reading of any kind before, I like to explain a little and then see where the reading takes me JI will be completing a full reading for you, which includes a 9 card Celtic cross spread and an angel card reading- both of these use a different type of cards. I will be doing the main part of the reading- the cross spread with my favourite cards- my angel tarot cards , I have had these a while and the pictures, colours and detail within each card really helps me to give more depth within a reading.
I will do your reading fairly general- this is the kind of reading I like best where I can just see where it takes me! Ha-ha but I will keep in mind the one thing you did mention- your pregnancy and see if anything comes up regarding this. Congratulations by the way! J
I will also have my angel cards which I will use at the end and I keep my pendulum and scrying mirror nearby in case I am drawn to any of these during the reading, to give more information for you, these are just other tools of divination- ways to gather information but I do mainly use my cards.
I must point out that I am not a developed medium, I do receive messages from spirit and this is something I am working on developing with my high priestess but it is not always reliable and I don't always get strong messages from spirit- if I do though I will of course pass anything on to you, I pass on anything I am given whether through my cards, my guides, spirit... and this is what makes each reading I do completely centred around you.

I am a practising first degree white witch and a healer and as part of this have been looking in depth at crystals and their properties; this is something I wanted to include within my readings to harness my love for crystals and to benefit the person I am reading for. I do this by selecting a few crystals to keep close by me, in the belief that their positive qualities will benefit you and me both. I have chosen rose quartz, citrine and tigers eye for you.
Rose quartz is a very family orientated stone; it brings love, happiness and laughter into your life and strengthens your relationships, both with others and with yourself. If you are having problems within a relationship it is said a rose quartz kept in the furthest left hand corner of your home from your front door will benefit you.
Citrine is a stone of abundance; it brings you that which you want within your life and brings fulfilment. This is not materialistic though, it is an abundance which will benefit you deeply- it is an excellent stone for anyone to purchase in my opinion.
Finally tiger’s eye, this is a very protective stone, it keeps negative energies away from you and encourages positive. Now there are a few protection stone but I find this one works well protecting a family, I even have some sewn into the lining of my kids curtains!
Before I began your reading I lit a candle and said a short prayer for protection and I lit a pink candle for you which I feel encourages love and happiness to you, something we could all use a bit more of in our lives.

Celtic cross spreadThis spread as I said above consists of 9 cards and looks at the issues in your life and the issues around you. I selected these cards by tuning into your energies, letting myself be drawn to cards and I laid them out in the cross shape that forms the spread.
The first card is right in the middle of the spread and this is the card which represents you, the ‘self’ so is obviously right in the centre- most important! The card to come up for you was the ace of pentacles. This card is a very positive card in relation to finances first and foremost. I feel that this is something that has been bothering you recently? As you are being told that things are beginning to work out in this area, if not already then very soon… the pentacle on this card is HUGE and pentacles=coins... Which obviously shows money so I do feel that very soon you will be a bit better off! So some good news! I almost feel this card depicts you holding a globe in the palm of your hands.
I was also very drawn to the fact that there is a huge tree within the card and it made me think of a family tree... have you ever researched this? As I feel you would find it very interesting- especially your mother’s line. I also felt that this card was reminding you of the importance of family, even extended family...
Overall though this is a very light hearted card and this should be a good month or two for you in more ways than one J there is a light hearted feeling of prosperity surrounding you- you feel very lucky at the minute for some reason! (maybe a good time to put the lottery on! Lol).
The second card comes with the first really because where the first shows you as a person the second shows things right before you at the minute- things on your mind and this card was the stars card. Now this fits together well with the first as it shows that you are again feeling very lucky and very happy in your life- you feel blessed and perhaps the pregnancy is part of this?
This is actually one of my favourite cards (I seem to have a few as I always find myself saying that! Lol) This card makes me think of dreams for the future and I feel I am being shown where you need to remember your dreams in life- take control back over your life, take the reins and steer things where you want! Perhaps not at the minute but going forward- remember your dreams.
The stars card is often thought of as a wish card and encourages you to make a wish and to watch as when this cards energy enters your life it comes true- a bit typical tarot reading style but who are we to mock? That’s what I was told! Lol
What I did want to mention is where the figure in the clouds on the card is pouring from two jugs, pouring water over the people below... this makes me think of someone (you) who gives away too much, someone who is always doing things for others and who perhaps needs to remember herself a bit more in there! A wise woman once told me- you can’t give to others until your own cup is full and it is very true J Don’t exhaust yourself.
Around these two cards are another four and these represent issues around you- issues in your life. Please be aware that you may not be aware of these at the minute! But you will be in the coming weeks.
The first card here looks a lot to the past and was the emperor card.. now this card has a very masculine energy- are there a lot of male family members around you? Not just your immediate family but extended too and perhaps even friends! Lol I just feel as though there is so much male energy! This wasn’t focusing on the baby you are carrying yet though- I felt another card does that, as this is very much a ‘past’ card.

Can I ask is there a child in spirit around you? Now this might not be your child but it would be someone close to you? I was being shown a little boy singing songs- he is lovely! He has quite dark hair and I’m not even sure he lived on the earth but he is a very happy soul JThere is an elderly woman with a connection to the month June with him- she has glasses on and made a joke about always losing them, or breaking them? I was being given an ‘a’ initial with her, perhaps Amy or Ava? I felt it was a short name? and if not her name then someone she was close to- perhaps something to ask family about?
Above and below the ‘self’ cards is a pair of cards which represent the present and the two cards to come up were the II of swords and the queen of chalices.

The II of swords can show disagreements- petty arguments in a relationship and makes me feel as though your relationship isn’t very balanced... now this doesn’t mean your relationship isn’t strong so please don’t take it that way, I just feel there is need for a bit more give and take and this is something you both need to work on. (I am assuming you are in a relationship as I was being told this but if not perhaps it is a general point to take on board.)
The figure on this card is sitting blindfolded with a sword crossed over his heart... I feel as though perhaps you can be quite insecure at times, and that you keep your heart quite guarded? And I do feel that within a relationship you need to learn to open up more- your throat chakra is very closed. Do you suffer from sore throats? As often people who don’t talk about how they are feeling do, and maybe again this is something to consider changing. Discuss how you are feeling!
I also felt this to be a very intuitive card- there are two moons pictured and as a moon is a symbol of intuition I felt this card to be telling you where you need to trust in your own intuition and your own gut instincts more- they will usually be right!
The number 2 is a number of balance... and I feel this is important to bring into your life in more ways than within a relationship actually - this feeling of balance is very apparent and I especially felt this to be in relation to rest and healthy eating- ensure you are taking care of yourself!
The queen card I felt was representing your baby as it is very much in the ‘present’ J so congratulations I feel that you are carrying a little girl! This card tells me a little about her, I feel she will be born around 7lbs with hardly any fair hair lol and huge eyes which from day 1 will take in everything around her; I don’t think she will sleep much during the day- too nosey! Lol I was being told that she will be very much like you, both in nature and looks and I was told she will have a family name? Or a name that reminds you of someone within the family so if you haven’t thought of names yet perhaps this is some advice!
A queen of chalices is quite the little princess and will have you wrapped around her finger from day one!
I was being given the number 14 as important around her, perhaps as a date to keep in mind?
The fourth card around what represents the ‘self’ looks forward in your life and again was the IX of wands. Now I’m unsure if this is for you or perhaps a partner but I was being shown work and where someone really doesn’t enjoy it... I was shown that it is being done just to put food on the table but there is a lot of darkness and clouds within the card which says it all really!
Now I asked if there was a change coming around this and I was being shown it being left. Now again I can’t get a handle on if it is for you or a male figure in your life! I was just being shown a job and someone leaving but I do feel this will be through choice. I asked when this was likely to happen and I was shown the spring time and hard work... but no feelings of stress or sadness so I do feel that this will be a choice, a wise choice and what comes after will be a vast improvement and bring a huge relief!

What I felt with this card is I am being shown a worry playing a lot on your mind at the minute... I asked what this was regarding and I was shown finances again? So I do feel this is very much around you at the minute but when the 9 of Wands comes up, the first and best step is often to take a deep breath and calm down. Don't let the things you are worried about overwhelm you! As this card will often show where your worries are bigger than the actual problem!
The next cards again come as a pair and what these two cards represent is the changes needed in your life, changes coming to you that if you follow through will move you forward in life- to the final ‘overall’ outcome. The first card here was the chariot card.
This makes me feel as though there has always been a lot of energy around you, quite a focused driven energy and that you may have lost this at the minute? You always had plans with your life, with what you wanted to do and this seems to have gone? You need to work to get your ambition back again!
My eyes were very drawn to the horses pictured on the card and with this I would say that the horses are charging and I feel that this is what you need to do- decide where you go from here and get to it! Lol but I did feel this is a message for the future not just now.
I am also being shown a disagreement here where you may say things you regret- bite your tongue. This is a warning not to let small issues blow out of proportion!
Why am I being shown a red car here? Do you own a red car? As maybe someone close to you will buy this? As I was being shown the tyre specifically. Maybe a flat? Lol nothing serious I must add! Nothing to worry about! Just again keep this in mind. I was being shown delays here so that would fit in with a flat tyre! And keep this in mind if you are planning to go somewhere.
Ok this is strange but I was being shown fire here... do you have an open fire? Or perhaps this is a fear you have for some reason? I was just being shown a warm fire... oh don’t worry I don’t feel it is anything bad! There is heat and warmth and comfort from it- it is lovely J
The second card here was the IX of swords. IX of swords. Now the first thing I felt as I touched the card- do you have nightmares? And/or difficulties sleeping? As I was being shown someone tossing and turning in bed, not getting enough proper deep sleep. What I would say is that often troubles at night are caused by unresolved troubles during the day, maybe this is something to think about?
Have you suffered from depression in the past? As the card has a lot of clouds around it, and I was being shown grief here so perhaps related to someone passing? The one good thing I would say is that this is showing things from the past which you are being encouraged to bring up and resolve so in that sense it is positive.
The final card in the spread is an overall card for the reading and also focuses on the future somewhat- the knave of pentacles. When I looked at this card, the picture on the card made my mind wander a little... I’m not easily distracted when I’m focused on a reading but I went with it J now there is a figure on the forefront of this card and he holds two things high in the air- a beautiful bird in one hand and a pentacle in the other hand... now he is very focused on the pentacle and this makes me feel as though recently you have been so focused on the practicalities of life and worrying about money that you are missing out on all the beautiful things, all the fun things! And maybe more of a balance is needed here? Take time to appreciate what you DO have in your life rather than what you don’t.

Angel card spreadFinally I did an angel card spread for you and I used my angel therapy cards. These cards bring guidance and help from your angels and loved ones in spirit around you to help set you on the right path in your life; their guidance is very different from tarot.
I let myself be drawn to three cards for you and the following was brought up-
Ask your angels for help
Shield yourself

Fresh air

The first card is quite self-explanatory! If there is something you want in life- something you need help with- ask for it! And don’t be afraid to! If you don’t ask how can you expect to receive?
Shield yourself is a bit of advice- that you should protect yourself from fear and keep yourself safe by imagining a cocoon of healing, peaceful green light around you. The angels brought this card to you because of how sensitive you are towards energies and peoples thoughts and this worries and drains you- you are probably TOO nice to others. This sensitivity means that you often absorb others energies leaving you drained and the healing light is a good way to prevent this. This is often an indicator of someone who is very psychically gifted so keep this in mind as it has come up quite a few times. Follow your intuition- it won’t lead you wrong.
The final card is all about taking a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and appreciating the fresh air. It is also about breathing a breath of fresh air into your life and trying out new things. Every so often, our bodies just need that peace to be at one with nature so that they can refresh and rejuvenate and it will make us feel a lot better and fresher when we allow this to happen.

It is said if you find a white feather you have been visited by an angel :)

I hope you have enjoyed your reading,

Lavender - i had a blood test to show ovulation as i charted for 3 months and showed no signs of O so literally demanded one!! Depends on your doctor etc as some think it only necessary if you are starting fertility treatment etc x its called 21day bloods - it should be takne on day 21 IF you ovulated on day14.....if not it should be taken 7 days (roughly) after you O x x it proved i didnt O, then i started clomid x x are you worrying that you arent Oing then??

sorry about my ridiculously long reading i posted was going to cut it down but my computer was playing up x anyway she got some really spot on points, surrounded by males! DH job, the elderly lady quite possibly my great aunt - name ann, depression in my past, money worries, talk of job change, giving too much of myself. Who knows if she got the gender prediction right - i didnt ask for one just asked about my current pregnancy told her my name and age (my FB is private btw) so am happy she was a decent reader - she also mentioned petty arguements which we are having lol

i love tarot - for those who can read truelly its amazing - one lady predicted nico and seeing his wasnt planned and dh and i were on a break thought she was mad......but she wasnt

Indigo lovely scan, have you started to tell people now? Congratulations!!!! Your defo pg now!!

Pinga it might still be a girl! Over the years I think swaying is 50:50 so someone has get another girlie!

Inglewood my mil wants us to emergrate but I am the one with the degree and high demand job. I don't want people depending on me to support them and make there dreams come true right now. I want to be comfortable, happy and looked after by dh. Yes if we moved abroad or I got a job in London we would be better off and have the flash cars and big house. But I want to see my kids grow up and keep my mental health. Nothing wrong with that, being happy with your lot.

Charlie nice reading, I hope it's true

Starting to worry about dave as the big day gets closer, like should I have had the amniotic test? Will his heart be ok? Etc

Sunset did you talk your birth over with your doctor? Did it help? I am not worried about pe as that's a known quantity, but the unknown like genetic things and my age are playing on my mind. Don't. Know why, guess I just need to worry about something.

maybebabythree

Lavender you need 21 day bloods as charlie says. I guess your in your twenties, but maybe ask for day 3 fsh as well. Then if all is ok you have more ammo to ask for more tests. Kind of 'look all is ok so why am I still bleeding? What's next?' kind of thing. You don't want to have mid cycle bleeding going unchecked for months on end. Like me it could be a polyp which is harmless but can mean any bean will have another obstacle to overcome.

Charlie your reading sounds good! Let's hope she's right on the prediction.

Indigo glad your scan went well! :) aww I love scan pictures!

Maybe- I'm sure dave will be just perfect! I guess there's always something to worry about through pregnancy! And it only gets worse when they are here lol! Why we do it I don't know!

I went to the doctors and he pretty much said I just have to live with sensitive skin now and it will be a case of trial and error on things I can and can use. Oh joy! I've got plenty of creams to help it heal so I guess that's it then! Grr

Charlie Your reading is amazing! I picked on so much of it being right and that's just from what you've mentioned on here! The description of your DD sounds lovely! Can't wait to get a reading.

I think it's a possibility that I didn't ovulate, earlier last year think I went about 3 months without a period and had thyroid tests that all came back normal then they started up normally again and have been reasonably normal until recently In my Dec cycle I didn't pick up a LH surge then went on to have a really light period but normal cycle length. Then 3 days of spotting on CD16-18, globs of tinged pink, greybrown CM when I wiped on CD21. And lots of CM from there on thought it wa an odd start to my period as unusual for me then nothing AF is 5 days late. I've also been getting light cramping on and off. Went to see the DR again today and booked in for bloods wednesday a.m and a smear in the P.M. She did mention the CD21 test and said if my bloods came back really off with my hormonal levels I would have 21 day bloods taken next cycle.

So annoying I really took my fertility for granted as I'm just 25. But going to push for them to take me seriously. I think it's much harder if you already have children.

maybe - am sure dave is ok in there but it is natural to worry x x i worry more this time thinking i have had 3 healthy babies am i pushing my luck?? Although ds1 and 2 were high risk so although nothing wrong we have had worries x if its weighing on your mind could you talk to your mw??

Lavender if you push your doctor you will get your tests. I had a few cycles a year where I didn't o either. It's just a case of ticking off the tests then if no answers pushing for more. I had four lots of day 21 tests that was all ok. In the end I went to the other practice partner with dh and hey presto we was down the fertility clinic after all that wasted time. I still had more tests to do but then I feel pg. I need the dye test on my tubes to confirm polyp after the birth but I really want a camera test and d&c under ga and will try to push for that. Good luck, in the end my tests was all bad but I am still pg totally un assited so no reason you can't fall pg soon x

Lavender, i hope you get some answers soon. You are right though, its always harder when you already have children as though your fertility must be fine. Not always the case. I had to push quite hard for the progesterone though was lucky with my doc but had to prove myself with charts etc.

Charlie, did the docs say that its normal for af to be really heavy if you didnt ov? Thats really interesting if so as i have had the occasional really heavy af and i've often wandered if it meant something. Though i still had a temp shift which probably means i did ov right?

Feel so unpregnant this cycle its untrue. Cant be bothered with symptom spotting and havent a clue what dpo i am! Perhaps around 4 or 5.

Grrgghhh can I just state how much I think tesco online suck? I haven't used them for well over a year as when I did they charged me and didn't deliver my shopping and no call to day why, I phoned they said they would deliver the next day - again no call from them and no shopping (presume the lazy a holes couldn't be bovered?) the third attempt went tu as well so I vowed never to shop online with them again. Anyway feeling eight months pg and lazy I tried them again (ds loves their meatloaf). Well the first non surprise was they 15 mins late and no call to say they would be late. Driver said he had to deliver 16 miles away! Checked shopping and £40 was charged as picked but I didn't have it (ds f@ing meatloaf as well!) dh phoned them six times tonight!!! I just want to say how much I hate tesco online with a boiling passion now and will only be shopping online with wItrose sainsburys and even asda who can manage to get it right. No apologies from them or money off. Bunch of degenerate morons. I am so mad. Just had to share. Pg temper here :-)

Evening ladies! i'm off to bed in a minute, just wanted to pop on quickly to say hello :)

Indigoviolet ~ what a cute bubba!! :)

charlieispy ~ wow what a detailed reading.. who did you get it from? i'd be interested in one myself :)

maybebaby ~ my appointment to discuss the birth is on february the 14th but i will probably cancel. I just really want to put it all behind me.. my BP is back down to normal now and i should be completely off the BP medication in (hopefully) 2 weeks time and i'm at a place now where i feel really, really happy.. whereas when i first got home from the hospital and the first 2 weeks i was a crying/nervous wreck and really did believe at one point that i had developed PND because of my bad hospital experience, but thanks heavens that's not the case! so i don't know if i actually want to discuss my experience with the consultant (whoever that might be since i saw different consultants everyday).. what good is it gonna do iykwim nothing can be done to change things now unfortunately. I just want to look forward and focus on the future and cross the bridge of PE when and if we have another baby. I really admire you for being so positive and having such a great attitude! hopefully you won't go on to develope PE this time and the odds are in your favour that you wont! :) it's really helped me alot hearing about your experience so thank you for sharing!! i don't know why i'm being such a dramatic, lots of people develope PE..
I do know what you mean, I really felt like i was pushing my luck having a 3rd since i've already had 2 healthy children and when i got infected with chicken pox i don't think i ever really relaxed after that, but luckily she's a healthy little girl and hasn't been affected! we were very lucky! I'm sure Dave will be a healthy, happy little boy too so try not to worry :)

Deaks ~ GL! how exciting with the farmhouse :)

Lavenderlime ~ how frustrating! you should definitely push for the bloodtest! has this happened before or just this month?

hello to everyone else! :) my practical is on friday and i am soooooo nervous already lol not good! i've also developed an addiction to ebay these last few days.. just now bought ds1 a load of jumpers for bargain price :p not that i'm cheap but wow does it feel great to grab a bargain! :) :cheer:

Sunset it's good you've managed to process your birth on your own, I think sometimes we manage to sort difficult things on our own without really trying!
I too love eBay, but I've had to stop myself now!

I've had a couple of days off work because I've been so embarrassed about my eyes, and actually I've really enjoyed the time to chill and get things sorted!
I spent all yesterday doing course work which was a reliefe! And today I've don't the shopping and am now chilling then I'm gonna put some tunes on and clean clean clean this afternoon!

Is anyone watching the series obese a year to save my life? I find this programme so inspiring! Unfortunatly the guy on this week is exactly like my dad :( I worry about him do much his weight is horrendous I think the last time he told us his weight he was around 28 stone. He's so tall so it doesn't look so bad on him but it really is a worry!

I've got my scan booked for 2nd march! There's no way I can wait that long so we are getting a private one next weekend! I was in mothercare this morning looking at bits, the girls stuff is so cute! I need to buy some! Lol

Kell
January 31st, 2012, 09:12 AM
Can't wait! Actually there's quite a few of us within a few weeks of each other isn't there! I'm actually 15+2 at the moment my ticker is out but in usually on my phone so can't change it!

Grrr stupid dp has just annoyed me!
He came home early from work, so I stupidly thought oh that's good we can do something together while the kids arent here! Lovely we could do lunch and have a nice afternoon, nope not happening, he's f-ed of out to a shooting range for the afternoon.
As he was going out the door he asked what's wrong, I said it would have been nice to do something together as a couple and he had the cheek to say 'well I'm ment to be at work kelly!'
Errrrrr wtf so you can go on a stupid shooting range while your ment to be working but being with me is out of the question!? How does that even compute? I can't quite figure that one out!
So here I am home cleaning while he's having a lovely afternoon doing just what he wants!!!

Well this week I will be going out for dinner with a friend and leaving him to it with the kids! Stuff it :P

And breath!

Kell ~ wow your scan is so soon! are you nervous? i'm so excited for you and will definitely be wearing pink for you on the day! I think your dh's comment "I'm meant to be at work kelly" is quite typical man behaviour lol they always say stupid things like that which probably makes total sense in their head. You should definitely go out for dinner with your friend and leave dh to babysit, serves him right ;)

Littlemisswilko ~ where will you be going for your private scan? i used babybond in stockton and i think it was £69 but i might be wrong

charlieispy ~ wow so many smog ladies are having scans in the next few weeks! cant believe you're nearly halfway :D are you still planning to stay team green?

Indigoviolet ~ 3 weeks really isn't long :D how does it feel to be moving into the second trimester? :)

littlemisswilko
January 31st, 2012, 10:12 AM
sunset - thats the one i got the price from. i went on there website and its £79 for a sexing scan at 16 weeks! the other scans they offer are normally around£99 or over. You had a 7/8 weeks scan there didnt you? was that £99?

Kell
January 31st, 2012, 10:20 AM
Lmw I'm going with babybond and well and it's £79 in our local one!

Charlie are you gonna stay team green after your reading! Honestly I'd be dying to know after the comments she made lol!

Sunset, I just laughed at him when he said it to me! Told hi
That makes no sense what so ever! He went off and called me about 15 mins later saying he'd take me out Friday for lunch because I was right lol!
Ah I love it when he admits to me being right! It rarely happens!

But so glad its here! nice little reminder that im pregnant! :) as i never had anything with my boys and just a bump to prove it! ive been sick about 3 or 4 times overall but i keep borking all the time which is really horrid especially when i do it out of the blue in front of my dp! he must think im crazy!

Mine nausea has pretty much gone, I still get it every now and then if I've left it too long to eat but on the whole it's manageable! I was only sick a few times so that's good I suppose! Like you I didn't have anything like this with the boys do fingers crossed its pink for us both! :)
I'm suffering head aches a bit but I think that's down to being tired and worn out!
Hope it goes for you soon! I know it's nice to have a symptom but wow if it's anything like mine was I don't wish that on anyone!!

Sunset glad your happy about your birth experience. There is nothing you can do to prevent it or stop it once you get it either. Maybe ask to review your notes if you do get pg again. I get checked two weekly and am on aspirin which makes me feel a lot safer. I was told I was going to have a placental abruption with ds1. Now looking back I would have asked if that was the case I needed a emcs. I just wouldn't put up with the faffing around if I got it again. Don't feel bad about feeling bad after the birth either. It is a very serious thing, the only thing that matters is that your both ok and the rest is in the past. I went into shock after ds was born and I realised what almost happened to us. Reminds us we are mortal but we are all still here and healthy now

Yes Charlie girls can have sticky out bits hun. They all develop at different rates even in the womb!

I forgot to mention after all the tripple bunk talk that we just brought one of these http://item.mobileweb.ebay.co.uk/viewitem?itemId=160573925963&index=4&nav=SEARCH&nid=02753639950
It's just a short term solution until we either move or extend. But as Charlie is now in the bunk beds we've had to buy something to make sure dp's son has somewhere to sleep when he comes to stay.

I just wondered what clothes you guys are wearing? All the maternity stuff near me is so frumpy! I can't seem to find much that is inspiring to me clothes wise, even normal clothes. I'm not exactly a follower of fashion and what is there is just not my thing! So all I wear I'd boring rubbish :(

littlemisswilko
January 31st, 2012, 03:30 PM
Kell - i have never bought anything ever in the maternity range! there just so old looking and frumpy! i love fashion and always try to look my best! i have started to buy for when i do get bigger and have found primark at the moment good for inspiration. Leggings are a must have as there stretchy and you can get them from primark in any colour you can think of. there also doing alot in pattern types which i have bought plenty of! love going there every Saturday to add more to the legging collection. They also sell chiffon blouses which are in fashion at the moment which again primark sells lots of different colours and patterns. i have bought a few which are a size bigger than what i would normally of bought and if they start to become a tad tight around the bump i will unbutton them and where a strappy top underneath. Hopefully by then it will be alot warmer. Also trying to find some flowery smock tops to wear with leggings or wear as a dress as i wore alot of these type of clothes with ds2 but i havent had any look in finding any yet.

Thanks hon, I'm sure there is plenty of pink dust for all of us (positive, wishful thinking!). so glad she said pink for you....although I so know what you mean about the scan. Most of it I saw nothing and even the pics are really ambiguous but I'm sure I had a really quick glimpse of a sticky uppy bit and I can't get it out of my head. I've had quite a lot of girl guesses but I can't forget that feeling I got when I got that glimpse, I was convinced 'boy'. Why is this so hard?!! I'm like you were a few weeks ago, obsessing over the pics/ skull shape etc etc. It is so hard not to get obsessed!

Hi Hun, so sweet of you to post pics xx can you believe your baby will be here soon and making use of them all :)
I love anything with stripes/ spots and I love the cool cat outfit :) Should be ok with sleep suits as bought some in the sales.

Have my scan on Thursday and beginning to really freak out about it. Am sure it's another boy as I pretty much feel the same as the other pregnancies, minor changes in foods I've gone off but m/s has been the same and I'm very big and all 'out front' again. I think I only had two maternity trousers with ds1 but with ds2 I got tops, dresses, jeans, jumpers from, Jojo maman bebe, Topshop, Asos and New look and sold them all on ebay after I had him. I got about 70% of the money I paid for them back! If i'd just got larger sizes I probably wouldn't have worn them again and they wouldn't have sold for as much on ebay.

If and when I get pregnant this time I'm def going to get some tops from Isabella Oliver, the cut looks so flattering and as it may be my last pregnancy I really want to enjoy it so will treat myself :)

Sounds lovely hun! We too have renovated our house... a victorian townhouse from scratch and had planned to stay here a few more years til we saw this farmhouse on the internet. Anyway been speaking to estate agents all day and been left dwelling on how much you really have to put your trust in them. The agents selling the farmhouse have basically said that another couple have conincidentally today (the house has been on the market for over a year) put in an offer higher than ours but are in no better position to buy. Left wandering if they are being truthful or bullshitting us into making a higher offer and getting our own home sold sharpish. Something just didnt ring true with what he was saying. Indigo - lovely piccies!!! So cute.

Wow - there are a few of us having scans in the next week or so!! Someone simply has to have a girl cooking in there!

Ohhhh maybe pink - you have yours the day before me!!! I'm getting anxious about it too. This week has been going so slowly!

deaks - the farmhouse sounds wonderful! I would love to do something like that!!!

DH and I have been discussing areas. When we go back to the UK we can technically live anywhere! As my parents aren't around I don't feel a closer tie to any area. One brother lives in Surrey and one in Hampshire so we might stay in the south... Its very complicated. We need somewhere to live but if we rent before getting a job it will limit where he can apply for jobs. :)

Question for you guys - when do you register child to start school? Also can you only apply to those closest to you?

Had a lovely last day of the holidays yesterday. Took the boys to Melbourne Museum. They loved it and they slept fantastically last night :D DH is now back at work! Eeek - had 6 weeks with an extra pair of hands and now just me! :)

Charlie - wow that was a good reading. Fingers crossed shes right about the girly bit!!!!

Thanks Hun! Yeah I reckon they are desperate to sell it and the lady is desperate to get as near the asking price as possible. Just wish they could be more honest. But I guess if she just said I want more for it, then she would run the risk of us saying forget it. This way they are creating competition but she has something to fall back on (our original offer) if we don't bite. Just so suspicious how it's taken a few days for her to apparently get back to the agents...more like the agents were buying time to make up a story! Anyway I got a plan so gonna stick to it!

Maybebaby ~ yes I will definitely ask to see the paperwork if i do get pregnant again in the future and like you I will not tolerate the faffing!! no way! I think that was the worst part about my whole experience, being so sick and having to see 20 different consultants who all told me different things and who all had different ideas on how to best manage the preeclampsia and as a result having my treatment plan changed every day and being force fed all sorts of pills like a guinea pig but no one explaining to me why or what i was even taking or what was happening to me.. i found it all to be a very frightening experience to be honest and i think it was all very, very badly handled! it really proved to me how flawed the NHS is!

Littlemisswilko ~ i probably did pay £79 then, i just cant remember. I definitely payed £99 for the early scan :agree:

thanks babymad- still feeling pretty ill on and off through the day but knowing it is nearing the end of the sickness stage is keeping me sane! Told my friends today and yesterday so starting to feel excited about the pg. How are you doing? Are you feeling any better? Really hope you are starting to get glimpses of excitement and happiness. Your house sounds amazing, what a clever dh you have!

ok girls, i need some advice about this farmhouse drama! So if you were me having being told about the 'apparently' increased offer from a different buyer (but who like us still have a house to sell), would you....

1. stay quiet for a few days and let the agent stew on things with the hope that he is bullshitting and will eventually panic that he has lost us and come crawling back with something i want to hear..... or

2. pester the agent for a simple yes/no answer to our question of whether the vendor would be interested in our offer if we were to sell our house before the other buyers. We could then either forget the idea or proceed with getting our house on the market this week.

I just cant decide whether the cool or pushy approach is needed!!

Hope you are all well! X

Deaks, Id wait a few days, if there is someone else you can always put a higher offer in once they have told you what the offer was, they musnt be able to lie and say a made up price/offer could they?

Maybepink - good luck for your scan!! I think I may have to find out too, or may look at nub and skull and decide then .......

Hi everyone else - have been lurking! So tired but no sickness or anything so can't moan.

Deaks I'd hold off!

We had a maximum price that we could afford to pay for the house we are currently in. They told us that someone had made a higher offer. We held strong and stuck at our price it really was our maximum. The agents came back to us 3 weeks later to see if we were still interested which of course we were and we got it for our offer price. I really don't think anyone else had made an offer but we did offer £28k under the asking price so think they were trying to push us. We did already have a buyer for our house at the time with no chain so we were in a good position to proceed quickly.
I would hold strong and play it cool. They will come back to you especially if the house has been on the market ofr a year!
Good Luck!!

Had my bloods taken this a.m. and will get the results next Wednesday when I go through them with the Dr. My Dr. has now left for maternity so off to see another Dr. again this PM for a smear and to explain again about my cycles.

Just been on a last minute shop we're going to Austria skiing and to the the billabong air and style event Friday morning until Monday afternoon.
So been running around getting hoodies, long tops, hats, gloves and ski pants and Jackets for DP and myslelf. So glad all the winter stuff is in the sale!

Thanks ladies!

chocolate, unless the agents are signed up to some code of conduct (which not many are and in any case its not regulated very well) they can tell lies and often do. I spoke to the agents who we might use to sell our house and they said it sounded suspicious too. Our offer is final as there are simply no more pennies in the bank and i definately think we will stay quiet for a while but in the meantime get our house on the market...we were told it should sell quickly as there arent many like it round here. That would put us in a much better position but its just so annoying as i dont want to annoy any potential buyer of ours by accepting an offer only to eventually have to pull out if the farmhouse goes to someone else. I guess thats just life though.

Lavender, you did really well sticking to your guns but there's not much else you can do is there when your offer is your limit. Its then down to fate!

Been thinking today about this pain i woke up with very early this morning. Was a sharp stomach type cramp, a bit like trapped gas. I felt like my period was gonna come and even had a kinda wet feeling which i was convinced was going to be blood. The pains seemed to last a couple of hours and woke me up a few times. At the time i remember thinking did i eat something bad last night but have had no pains/diorea or anything today. Suddenly realised i am about 7dpo today so wandering if it would be implantation? Was determined not to symptom spot and it may well be something and nothing unrelated to ttc but it did make me think. Has anyone else had this and it turn out to be implantation?

Hun how are you doing this week? Hope things are getting a little easier.

Stick to your guns hun :)

I'm not too bad thanks. Having 'ok' days and 'not so ok' days and bloody awful days.
Went to a stay n play today and there was a 6 week old baby girl...I found that very hard.

When is your test date?
