Hey ladies - I recently got my BFP! I wanted to get your opinions on a couple of things.
I've had cramping on and off for the last week to week and a half. I thought it was implantation cramping before I got my BFP. It is still happening though. The cramps are not as bad as AF, but definitely noticeable and also in my lower back sometimes. No bleeding or spotting at all, and my tests have been getting darker. I guess I am still just worried, because I don't remember cramping real early when I was pg with DD. Anyone else have cramping early on?
I am also super super hungry, like abnormally hungry - I don't remember being like that with DD either.
One more thing - I am sooo ecstatic about this pregnancy (we'd been trying for over a year), that I just want to tell everyone!!! DH doesn't think we should tell anyone for a while.. but I know I won't be able to hold it in much longer! I think if I can just tell a few people and tell them to keep it quiet it will make me feel better. When are you guys announcing to others?

Hi. You know it's funny cuz I didn't even know I ovulated this month let alone actually get pregnant!!! Lol. First of I've been going @ it since feb after my MC with no luck @ all
EVERY month I would get these pregnancy symptoms & id think OMG I'm knocked up!! Lol only to get negative after negative after negative
for the month of September I just gave up. I've been really good @ knowing when I ovulate cuz of the ewcm, high sex drive, left sided cramps, & what have you. This month I had no ewcm @ all {was on Benadryl for over a week due to an allergic reaction & that dries up ur ewcm. Mind u I had no idea it could do that!} no sex drive no cramps no nothing. We dtd {cuz of him lol} & I let it go. 6dpo I was awaken twice from sleep to go pee really bad & after I get back in my bed I have this crazy nausea like OMG now I gotta vomit!!! Anyway, didnt pay it no mind @ all. Then on 8dpo I get nasty cramps right smack in the middle of my belly! Mind you, I only ever have cramps on my left side so this cramping right smack in the middle threw me off & I started putting 2 & 2 together lol I went & got a test & it was very faint positive, tested again in evening on a digital & got a pregnant result. Now, I'm 10dpo & still having cramps!! There's been no implantation bleeding & no other symptom. So later on today I'm going to go get another test & see. Oh!! & to answer ur question lol I'm not telling no one nothing till 15 weeks. & were going for team PINK!!!

Yep...I cramped pretty badly with #s 2 & 3. Not sure why I didn't with my first. But I remember sitting in my car going to pick up my son from his little preschool and being like "wow, these are painful. I wonder if it's a bad sign." It's normal. Usually just uterine stretching. Those ligaments are more limber after already having one, so they stretch quicker, which might cause more cramping.
I have never had extreme hunger...but know plenty of folks who do. I thinks it's pretty typical. Your body reacting to the onslaught of hormones (kinda like the biggest PMS ever!)
And I personally wait until at least I hear a heartbeat (usually it's see one on ultrasound around 7 weeks). We had losses and it was not fun to tell folks we lost the baby. So I wait just to minimize the risks (miscarriage rates are much lower after seeing a healthy heartbeat). But if you need to tell someone, tell folks who will share your joy and be able to listen to your baby talk for a few weeks and vow them to secrecy. Really, if they are close friends, they would be helpful even if the worst happened. Ya know? There isn't a right answer to that one. Whatever floats your boat
And CONGRATS!! So exciting!A: "Owner" of the following brood:

-Our rainbow little man (K: 2011)
-Our sway and pray little diva (J: 2013)
-Our lucky charm guy (S: 2015)
We may be done, we may come back for one more sway. Time will tell. At the moment, we are very content with our family!

With this baby my cramps were so bad in the beginning I was sure it was bad news. I had to use a heating pad on my back for the first few weeks just to be able to walk. However I did find out recently that I had been pregnant with twins so I don't know if the pain may have been because of that.
As far as being hungry, I was sick from 11 dpo so I really had no appetite. I also don't remember eating much or being very hungry with my other boys either though (until the third trimester).
If you feel comfortable telling people I would say go ahead and tell a few people who are close with you. I know tons of women who announce their pregnancies on FB as early as 4 weeks, so I'm sure telling a few close friends and family can't hurt2009

I cramped a lot with my last one from the very beginning. There were lots of pulling, twitching and niggling little pains throughout the day. I had very light spotting at about 8 weeks which worried me a bit but it subsided very quick. I'm sure it's just your little one stretching in there.
I can't keep a secret very long, so I tell my best friends straight away, and everyone else after 12 week scan. Congratulations on your pregnancy.Mum to Lucas13/12/1989

Glad to know I'm not the only one with cramping! I'm going to call the dr on Monday to make my first appointment. I'm probably going to tell a my parents and a few close friends, then more at the 12 week mark. I can't keep a secret either!
I sort of wonder if there are 2 in there... because I had started Clomid, then didn't ovulate until day 61... so I keep wondering if two eggs had come out... and with my symptoms coming on so early and strong. But who knows, we will see at the first ultrasound! I'm just hoping for a healthy, sticky bean!

Ah congrats to you too
sending some blue dust to you also, we must be due around same time? I didn't have much cramps but knew I was preg before I got my BFP for some reason. I'm hungry all the time also!! Feels weird to be starving all the time, but my worst thing is I can not sleep
I was up 2,3,4 times during the night for like Half hour to an hour each time
. With my 2 dd's I told everyone straight away but this time I want it to be a secret
will tell them when I show them my scan photo. But... Dh is finding it extremely difficult keeping quiet lol, I think it's coz we actually didn't expect it so soon it was a massive surprise and shock, wit my 2dd it took a year each. But congratulations again and hopefully we will both have gorgeous baby boys in our arms next year xx
