Its unhealthy for mother and baby. If you have a thyroid problem that isnt being managed thoughout pregnancy, it can be harmful to baby's development. In particular, brain development.
I had to have half of my thyroid removed due to a benign tumour before I conceived my last child, so my thyroid was closely monitored throughout my pregnancy.

Right after my BFP in April my doc tested my thyroid..it was dangerously low...but he told me my baby would be fine...
she passed away 1 week later..I am suspecting the most that that is why I lost her.
I went on a high dose of medication but there wasn't enough time to change my levels...that takes 6-8 weeks!
A thyroid is nothing to mess with in TCC or pregnancy!Age 75

Thyroid problems can cause miscarriage amd health problems for the baby.
