Intro, girl sway, BCP, PCOS, and age... do I have a chance???
Hi... new here. My FDH has just decided in the last couple of months that maybe he does actually want to have kids LOL!
We have been together for nearly 5 years, after I got divorced, and I have 3 boys of my own. He is only 28, and I am 37... I had left the kid thing totally up to him from the beginning (been on bc because of PCOS most of my life, so no concerns about unexpected BFP's anyway)... Well now all of his friends are married and starting to TTC, so he suddenly is interested. But he still goes back and forth, which is super frustrating, as you all know.
So anyway, if we're having one I'm determined to get a girl this time!
I'm also going to try to use the "first month off bcp" push, waiting until January to come off (already OK'd this with my Dr). Unfortunately that means I have NO idea what my cycle looks like... So I'm shooting in the dark. But at least I started LE diet this week, so I'll have about 7 weeks on it first.
So my main question is this: Does it sway boy or girl coming right off bcp? Please share any experiences you have with BCP right into TTC! I was off for 6 months before ttc ds1 and never went back on between them... but I've now been on seasonique (no periods, I skip the off weeks) for 4 years... I have NO idea what to expect...
If you have any advice, let me know!Age: 37, PCOS, coming off BCP (on 1/1/2018)
Mom to:Chase, 2007;
Milo, 2008;
Lincoln, 2009 (all with ExDH)
Soon to be TTCwith my best friend and FDH (who is 28 and has no kids)!

Hi and welcome!
Coming off BCP sways pink so you'll have that going for you. Since you don't know when you'll ovulate, I would either start using OPKs or just BD every four days then continue with that pattern until your next AF. If you go the OPK route, just have one attempt at your first positive OPK. It may be wise to continue to BD every four days just in case you get the positive OPK but then don't ovulate for whatever reason.
Are you doing standard LE or the PCOS version?'12

Really? I've never had issues with my blood glucose, but I have polycystic ovaries and have been on BCP because of that almost my whole life...
I wasn't really planning to do the PCOS version... but you might sway me
And I responded very quick, I actually started monday... so yeah it's been about 5 days. I've learned it's much more easy to lose weight when I know it's because I'm going to be TTC a girl!
I said to FDH yesterday that I wanted a girl, as my three boys were running around getting ready for their veterans day concert... He just laughed and said he was surprised I wanted any more! But I think he has finally decided that he wants one of his own, and I've finally let myself hope that I will get one more shot at my daughter (which I have always wanted, but convinced myself wasn't going to happen).Age: 37, PCOS, coming off BCP (on 1/1/2018)

I’ve never had issues either but carbs just wouldn’t allow me to lose weight, really recommend it!

You don't need to know what your cycle is like to sway. Just come off the pills and start doing OPK strips OR BD unprotected every 4 days and you'll hopefully be able to catch that egg one way or the other
Coming off BCP does seem to sway pink.!!! Questions??Check out the NEW and improved Complete Index !!!

You need to be on the alternate diet. VERY important that you do that. It will really help both up your odds of conception and also your odds of pink. https://genderdreaming.com/forum/gen...rt-3-pcos.html
