How well are you ladies doing?
Oh and I had dream last night that I got pregnant before I was full into sway mode and it was twin girls!! Praying that comes true, the twin girl part

Twin girls would be lush. Here's hoping. I'd love twins as long as one had boy parts though 2 boys would be amazing. 2 for 2! Have seen some lush t-shirts on Amazon with 'Thing One' and ' Thing Two' on.
I'm doing OK, still swapping foods sweet for sour, adding some salt to foods- have changed to coarse sea salt and trying to cut back on sweet stuff - byebye jam on toast so it's not such a shock when I do HE come April. I'm more thirsty so I've been drinking more sugar free squash which I think I might have to change to water in April. Worth it for a boy though.

Just a quick drop in for me. So excited. Looks like I finally ovulated :D it would have been CD 30. Hmm, seems like quite a few of us would be excited about twins. I would love b/before twins but b/g would be nice. I'll probably be doing smaller posts for a while, my computer died. Alright, I'm heading off. I need to get ready for work :(

Well some of you know I was to have surgery to remove a tumor today. Well at no fault of my own or the doctor, I have to reschedule it 4 weeks out. Until March 25th. So I think I am going to ttc a month later as well. I have really been trying not to stress about this but until it's removed and the biopsy comes back it will be on my mind, bothering me. I get a tension headache and migraine if I think about it for too long. Oh well, June attempt it is.

sorry about the delay married, what a bummer!

Ladies I would just DIE for g/g twins or even g/b twins. I have secretly been wishing for it and by secretly I mean my husband found out and freaked out and asked if I was "doing" anything to increase our odds! lol He would be so so angry if I was but of course I am not!

oh marriedmom sorry to hear of your little set back. Try not to stress over it. The time will fly and you'll be in prefect health and well on your way to a perfect sway before you know it. Have plenty of long lavender baths.
Girls, I'd take triplets if I had a chance! Twins are all over my family My dh would be the same as yours Rosie! Wouldn't it be fun though ha!!!

oh triplets I don't think I could do! Twins are okay because one for each parent...that third baby would throw me off!

I can handle a lot of kids, I enjoy having lots of littles around and can't wait for another! I find myself bored at times with three and that may be because the baby still naps so I have that down time for a few hours a day....haha.

Hi ladies, haven't posted in a while. Sorry to hear about your delay married. Soo frustrating for you. I am sure everything will be ok. I think it's good that you are waiting until it's over before you sway.
Happy to hear your feeling better too Rosie :)
I have fallen off the wagon with the LE diet in the last couple of weeks. Cheated on Valentines day and then have had several cheats since :( I just love food and snacking.
We'll I am ttc in May so I had better get my act together. I am going to try to be really strict with the diet and exercise in March and April. Also trying to think more positively and visualize my daughter (totally new territory for me). I know some of you ladies said you have already bought some clothing for your DG. I find it hard to look at baby girl clothes mostly because I want to cry when I do and because I feel like if I do I am jinxing myself somehow. Silly I know. Anyway like I said I am trying not to think so negatively and I am daring myself to believe I will get my girl this time.

Rosie85
February 25th, 2014, 09:14 PM
Deb I am glad you are thinking more positively! Don;t feel bad about the cheats. I am cheating today with fat consumption. I am feeling pretty sick and just yuck overall so I want to have treats.

I thought I had already ovulated since my strips were getting so light again...nope I had ewcm today and now the strip is getting dark. wth?? All that pain and cramping wasn't the real thing before?? Now 1 week later I am ovulating? I guess we will see. Wishing I had some digi tests.

deb
February 26th, 2014, 02:33 AM
Thanks Rosie,
I suppose the occasional treat is ok. I just need to make sure it ONLY happens "occasionally" lol
Sorry to hear your feeling so yuck Rosie. Our bodies can be such a mystery sometimes. Sounds to me like your ovulating this time.

Hi ladies. Joining your thread as we're thinking of TTC pink in May/June time. I've just bought the personalised plan so am ploughing through it and my last sway info to get a handle on what I'm going to do this time around. Gonna start weaning myself off my supplements soon and get vitex, fibre and folic acid ready. I'm still BF DS3 though so I've no idea yet whether I'll get a cycle! Good luck everyone

Welcome weezie (and autocorrect wanted to call you weenie. Lol). Glad to have you along.

I am going to the doc tomorrow...I have been getting killer headaches since New Years. Out of the blue, but they border on migraine pain. But they don't feel like migraines I've gotten in the past. They are freaking me out :( Im hoping just related to hormones or allergies or something. And nothing I take is knocking them (which is limited anyway, since I don't want to dry up my milk). Ugh. I'm a super healthy person (illness-wise) so anything like this is really out of character. I hope it's something we can fix. I'm worried that if they are migraines, they will stick around. My moms sister started getting horrible migraines after one of her kids and she never has found the thing that keeps them at bay. She gets knocked down for days from one. I just can't afford that with the kids. I'm probably over thinking things. I hope. Good thoughts welcome!! We already ran blood work and all was clear on that. So I dunno what else we do to look into the causes.

Fingers crossed you can find out what's causing your killer headaches. I used to suffer from migraines then I went off the BCP and they went away. *hugs*

poor hotdogz, I can only imagine the pain. My dh gets awful migraines and he has to find a dark room to lie down in for a few hours. A lot of his family get them but I think you can get good medication now for them. (my dh won't go to a doctor - think it's a man thing!!!) Hope you get sorted. Wekcome all the new girls Great to have you all along for the ride.
Deb, Atomic encourages cheats so you're doing a great job!
Rosie don't be too hasty girl!! Are you sure you've done all you can with your sway? You might regret it if you do bd before your sway is complete. But you know best. This could be the right time for you. If it was me I would wait another a few weeks and at least when you get your bfp then you'll know you've done everything you possibly could have to get your little daughter!

Hi!

Mind if I join? We are ttc our 4th and last baby in May. We have 7, 5 and 13 month old ds'. I can't help but want some girl around.

I have just started the LE diet, I'm still nursing my baby, dh is going to take LR and limit red meat.

I'm trying to squeeze an hour in to exercise, but it's hard! I am going to try and amp it up in March and April, though.

Anyway, hi and I hope we all get our little girls!

Hey there ladies. Thanks all, it's not fun having to wait but it is what it is. Welcome weezie and ozzy.
Hotdogz, I hope your appointment goes well, migraines suck, I get them with tension headaches.
Rosie, I hope you feel better soon as well. Maybe you'll drop a few lbs while you're sick, that sways too.

hotdogz&boyz
February 28th, 2014, 04:03 PM
^^Funny you mentioned that...my doc thinks they are tension related. She is having me see a chiro to see if we can release some tension in my neck and see if that helps then go away. Ill admit, I've been more stressed and getting less sleep lately. So I can see where that might be the cause. Since my blood looks good and I'm not having more typical symptoms of migraines (sight changes, dizziness, or sensitivity to light), she is hesitant to call them that for now. Overall a good appt. And I thankfully don't have a headache today! Thanks for the good thoughts ladies. I'm kinda excited to go to the chiro. Might help all the damage from hauling my big kiddos too!! Lol.

I keep seeing twins out and about but I was in a queue earlier and the lady in front and one behind both had baby boys in the Prams. The boy behind was so vocal too. I was cooing over them.

Oh and I'm getting lots of ovary and booby pains and EWCM so hopefully my cycle is straightening out. I have a Calender hanging in the bedroom I plan to use for planning etc. Can't believe February is over already

Welcome Weezie and Ozzy! Glad to have more wonderful ladies here.
Rosie: You think so much like me! HA I read your posts and I could of totally written them. I too am wishing for twins :) I always joke that I am going to sway so hard for a girl and get twin boys. I hope I get my girl but I would tickled if I did end up with twins. Preferably girl ones of course.
My husband and I were in the shower last night and fooling around isn't such a spur of the moment thing like it used to be. Hubby was first to put on the brakes. I think the switch from boxers to hunky man undies has really gotten my husband serious about this sway business. Which is great!!! What do you ladies take for fiber? I ended up getting some gummy ones from Target and they kind of taste like dirt.

Thanks DIB, have you started HE yet? It looks like around the same time as me. I gained about 8 pounds on HE (though, I needed to gain 5 or so as I was underweight). After I came off the HE and 10 weeks of pregnancy, I came down a few pounds. I think my body probably can't exceed a certain weight anyway.

I feel like an old pro at HE, so we will see. I hope to add in a little more potassium/sat through V8 this time, and be more consistent.

February 28th, 2014, 05:51 PM
I'm gradually adding more HE and trying to cut back on empty calories. It's difficult as I'm still adjusting to the hormones from IUD removal. I been searching high and low for v8 juice and hoping my local supermarket does stock otherwise I'm going to order from Amazon!

When I lived in the UK (My husband studied there), I found tomato juice from all the stores in cartons-which is still high in potassium and salt. I'd do that!

I had a hard time drinking it, but I did. For this last sway, I did green smoothies- with kale, romaine, or spinach as the green, and lots of variety of fruit, with yogurt- full fat (I miss Yeo Valley!) and occasionally some juice or water. It was a major potassium/micronutrient packed smoothie and it had a ton of calories too!

My DDS are almost 2 and 4. Sorry I have such a vague siggy!

Hey ladies, unfortunately I think I gained weight while sick! I put my diet on hold hoping the extra fat and protein would help me get better quicker. I am still not 100% but I am back on the diet today and will restart exercise next week on Monday hopefully. I am thinking I probably won't ovulate until the end of April so I have plenty of time left before first attempt. As long as I have a solid 6 weeks of diet and exercise I will be happy with that.

Sorry to hear about your headaches hotdogz. I used to get terrible migraines, I still do time to time. I really feel for you, hope the chiropractor can help!

After reading the twins post..I am not sure I want them anymore! yikes!

Excited for March to be here. I am hoping things start to warm up around here. It is terribly cold. Besides my first attempt countdown I am also counting the days until my babies 1st bday which is April 9th and then we have Easter Sunday on the 20th of April. Lots to look forward to, just got to make it past snowy march.

I have three boys and up until I started le diet I always ate loads of protein, very little carbs. I used to eat tons of almond and cashew nut butters, tins of tuna, lots of eggs, tons of brown bread, lots of minced meat dishes and oatmeal and bucket loads of cereal. Was never hungry as I used to eat lots of small meals throughout the day. I got 3 beautiful boys from eating all that stuff. Oh and I drank gallons of green tea. Epecially the one with jasmine. I swore that made my blue bundles each time! Hope that helps. I miss my protein but I'm loving eating white bread for a change!

Thanks Daisymoo. I'm going to have a look into oatmeal.
When I tried for my girls, though I wasn't intentionally swaying I cut back on empty carbs so I was losing a few pounds before conceiving. I typically snack on sweet goods so cakes, biscuits and chocolate were eaten but in moderation. I followed a popular slimming groups plan when trying to lose weight before trying for DD2 which begins with S & W. I followed the EE plan and on that you could fill up with pasta and rice. I tried to buy and use Flora light and semi-skimmed milk where I could. I would eat jacket potatoes with baked beans for lunch everyday. I ate alot of lean meats such as plain chicken breast with stir fries or fish with SW homemade chips. And 'low-fat' yoghurt became my goto snacks which I poured over strawberries and/or grapes. I drank milky tea, sugarfree squash, diet coke and low-fat hot chocolate. With both conceptions before my BFP I would be taking a folic acid supplement with 400mcg and not much else.
With DD1 I actually joined a gym and would go on the bike and running machines to get my cardio. With DD2 I had DD1 to run after and walked everywhere with her in a buggy.
I'm thinking of trying to lose a few lbs before April when I go fully HE but as we know losing weight sways girls, I am torn. Though tbh I have worked out that once I am HE I may drop lbs anyway. Confused.

@ Rosie, I hate eating when I am sick, I always lose a few pounds, Wednesday and Thursday I was sick at home bed ridden. No work or school and I had to force myself to eat. Glad you are starting to feel better.
So last night dh and I took the boys to a pizza buffet, all the families there had little girls. I am guessing most of the knew each other because 10 if the 12 little girls there were running around together, my heart melted. The other two families bad a girl and a boy. I was a little jealous :(
But I prayed about it, and felt a little better.
I still want twin girls though lol. Hoping everyone is having a great day

I feel surrounded by my DG too ladies. Every girl that I have booked for a newborn sessions between now and the first week of July are all having baby girls. I pray for a little girl almost everyday. But if God doesn't have that plan for me I will just have to be satisfied snuggling and dressing up others little girls for a picture. Are you ladies doing the 2 meals or are you doing the 3 meals a day?

^^Strange how that works. I know nothing but boys being born around here between Feb-July. It's boy world where I live!

Welcome Spicy. I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I hope you get your sticky blue baby this go-round :)

Sign me on for "no thanks" to twins. I used to think they would be kinda cool. My second son was a twin, probably identical based on sac, but his twin passed between 7-9 weeks. We knew ahead of time that it was possible because the heartbeat wasn't as strong at our first sono and they said it could mean that twin took longer to start, was in a worse position for measuring, or was beginning to decline. So it wasn't a shock to see the baby was vanishing at the next ultrasound. Since that would have been 2 & 3, I think I would have been fine. But I can't imagine having twins for 4 & 5. I would worry about "petty" things too, like if I could co-sleep like I want to, if I could baby wear both equally, if I could manage Breastfeeding with both until a year. I just kinda think ill stick with one (haha...as if we get a choice!) Although, strangely enough, I have babysat an inordinate number of twins over the years. When I was looking for a position years ago and a family gave me a call to nanny, it didn't come as any surprise when they told me they had twin girls. It was a running joke at that point that twins found me. They were my 4th set. But I think it's pretty common for twin moms to want help. So not really telling on that psychic twin-front.

No headache today either! Yahoo...I'm on a roll. First chiro on Thursday.

I hope y'all aren't getting to stressed on the swaying front. I am totally behind, but I am feeling super-lazy about it all. I guess I need to firm things up and stop procrastinating. I'm awful for it. Call me Scarlett...

Flora is a margarine which is a GIRL swaying food. Told hubby we're switching to real butter. No complaints. Bah. Totally stressing and not even in our proper sway yet. I'm going to be fun to live with come April

This year I only know one we work together, though we eat breakfast and lunch at work, I have a good idea as to what her diet was like, and the other women who had girls last year (sil, cousin, best friend, other co-worker ) it's the same.

Marriedmom: Both Dh and I have twins in our families. I don't think having twins in the fathers side makes a difference in twinning (but if it does....whoooo boy! Lol). Both my mom and dad have twins on their sides (his are on his moms side). I have several sets of twin cousins and a few sets of twin aunts. Twins are something I'm used to! Thankfully, we have been lucky, except one set, the pregnancies and births have been complication-free. So I'd hope if that came down, we would be as lucky!

Hotdogz - there are twins on both sides of ours - my mother was a twin (but they weren't aware so unfortunately she died after birth). She was pregnant with twins but m/c my brothers twin but went on to have twin girls who just turned 22 and one of my sisters fell pregnant with twins but m/c them. And DH Dad is a twin.
I'm not convinced twins run I'm families but rather their more common due to us adopting our parents habits including eating, so I wonder if that's more of a factor. Correct me if I'm wrong but seeing that I come from a family dominated but sisters & nieces, it makes sense when we all eat more or less the same low nutrient diets and none of us drive so walk everywhere. My only sister who does eat well and drive has not had any children so I don't know the outcome of her offspring.

I'm crazy, I would also love twins. I'm with you dreaming blue b/b would be awesome but I certainly wouldn't complain about b/g. It would bring our family of 5 to a family of 7 though. Big change in dynamics.

Boys I am worried about ovulating late as well. It added two weeks onto my sway I didn't expect already and I am bummed.

I have been having a lot of cheats lately and I think its due to my late O and my being sick. The added weeks depressed me. Instead of 6 weeks until attempt I have 8 again and I'm feeling defeated and bored with it all. Hoping getting back to the gym will make me feel better but even that I have to wait longer for as I am still sick!!

Hope everyone else is doing well!

g/g twins or b/g twins would be great! I would pass out from excitement and fear lol.
Rosie, I hope that you feel better soon, you have been sick for a while now, are you taking any medicines?
Hotdogz and dreaming at least your chances are more likely than mine, neither my family nor dh family have twins on any side.

And I feel better knowing I am not the only one falling off the wagon too. The boys in my house want what I am not suppose to eat. :) I took some time yesterday and made up some meals that I can just go grab out of the refrigerator so I can stick to it better.

I think diets are super-hard. It's why I am procrastinating so badly. Lol. I wanna eat what I wanna eat!! Plus, I don't like thinking about it so much. Obsessing about food has never been a great idea for me :-/ Y'all can do it though! It's tough, don't beat yourself up about little cheats...like a few more calories or a couple extra grams of protein...look at the big picture. I tend to be one of those all-or-nothing people, where if my diet goes off the rails a tiny bit...I'm going way overboard. So just move on and forget the little cheats and I bet you are more successful with it overall.

Have faith :)

It's a gorgeous snowy day outside for us...and my SIL's brother and wife just welcomed a baby this morning. Ill admit, for not wanting to be pregnant or have a newborn any time soon, I was hit a bit harder than expected by the "baby bug." Haven't heard any details about him or seen a picture yet either. Just knowing they are all on a baby moon is enough for me to feel clucky! Oh lord! Lol.

Everyone is having babies! So exciting!

I keep wanting to eat candy...the kind full of fat and girl scout cookies. I wish they were not in the house then I wouldn't have the temptation. I keep telling myself it is no big deal and that I will take the diet more seriously in a week but you know how that goes. I have just been more hungry than normal and I think it is the illness, starving for calories to heal my body so I've given into it from time to time. Still sick today so still no working out. I my goal is to get to gym by Wednesday or thursday. I am unsure if I will be able to get myself to the gym though as we have had a few kidnappings by fitness centers around here of young women...so scary! Maybe I should just work out at home on the Wii....

So you already ovulated and you are thinking the egg could have still been there?? I am sorry, hoping it won't come to anything for you. I am like 3 dpo and I got a negative opk and I still won't let Dh come near me without his protection. Rosie85
March 3rd, 2014, 07:13 PM
the fat limit kind of depends on the amount of calories but minimum is 25 grams and maximum is 60 grams if I remember correctly. 60 grams is more for 1800 calories and the 25 grams is lower calories. I always try to stay below 40 since my calories are always around 1400.

Married mom, I've eaten all of those. I found I really like wraps with hummus and mushrooms. Today's lunch was chips and queso with a peeled apple and peeled pear, dinner was a baked potato and white rice. I'd love more ideas!

The biggest change for me is going vegetarian, skipping b-fast (I never ate much but would've always had something before noon, and all the aspartame drinks. It's definitely different than my very boy diet!

Rosie85

This is my meal plan for dinner this week

M-Stir Fry with just veggies
T-Roasted potatoes and veggies
W-Chx Fajitas
Th-Alfredo with Penne and broccoli
F- Belgian Waffles and berries
Sa- this is unknown as we won't be home but out and about. If I go to a restaurant I will get a salad or a turkey club with fries
Su- spaghetti

For lunch I usually eat a weight watchers waffle or toast with jelly and string cheese, sometimes yogurt if I can gag it down. Apple sauce, jarred pears.

For extras I eat pop-tarts, licorice, other low fat candies and those skinny cow treats.

I drink the occasional soda and wine as well otherwise just water.

I have a super hard time meeting protein standards and staying within my fat limits. A lot of times my calories are too low as well. Hard to fix it.

Dreaminginblue, you have as much a chance of having a boy as a girl if you are pregnant, remember it's still 50/50 each time, so if you are pregnant don't loose faith, you could still have a little man! Relax for the next two weeks Don't stress out!! I know it's hard though. I had the same thing happen me in Jan - it can be torture waiting for af, and I'm sure it'll show up for you.
You girlies are eating very healthily. I eat toast and hummus for lunch and lots of rice cakes and either pasta with ww sauce or toasted sandwiches or salad for tea. My third meal around 10 is poptarts or meringues with yoghurt Haven't touched fruit in weeks as used to live on it before and I'm trying to eat everything completely different! Pancakes with nutella for tea tonight though Can't wait!
Rosie hope you feel better soon I would normally recommend 1000mg vitamin c this time of year to help you feel better but you can't take that Maybe have lots of broccoli and kiwis instead.
Marriedmom I've been on diet since start of Jan loosely and more strictly since start of Feb.

I know it's always 50/50 I would love to give it a blooming good sway effort towards the boy end and if it turned out to be a girl I can say I tried and I was obviously meant to have 3 girls.
Being that hubby is insistent that this will be our last pregnancy I want to try for a boy, otherwise I'd always wonder

Marriedmom, some hummus can be rank, so I normally by Tesco own brand with garlic and lemon but don't know which country you're in so if you don't have tesco maybe try to get one with garlic and lemon in it. It makes it much more tasty!

I'm usually bad at that too but I try to take it at the same time every day (lunch) and it becomes a habit. Speaking of, I'm taking 1 400mcg pill a day of folic acid...is that enough?

deb
March 4th, 2014, 02:03 PM
Hi ladies,
I am taking Metamucil twice a day. I am using the pink lemonade flavour. I stand right by the sink and down it right after I have mixed it so that way it doesn't sit and thicken up. I actually like it ( maybe I'm weird, lol) it makes me feel so full afterwards, but I do need to drink more water with.
I typically take my supps in the morning with a cup of peppermint tea. I keep the supps in the same cupboard as my mugs so that way I see them and won't forget.
This week I have been eating for lunch low sodium crackers with margarine and Greek 0 fat yogurt with frozen strawberries. For dinner I have been having pasta with cheese and broccoli. Need to get better ideas for dinner cause I'm not really enjoying the pasta.
I live in Canada :)

deb
March 4th, 2014, 02:16 PM
Hi Abifasc,
1400mcg folic acid is enough. Atomic recommended 1200-1600mcg a day for me and I will be 35 when ttc. Most sources recommend 1000mcg a day but since we're on the low everything diet we might not be getting enough folate in our diets so it's a good idea to take a little bit more.

deb
March 4th, 2014, 02:18 PM
Sorry just re read your post. Are you only taking 400mcg a day? Or 1400mcg?

daisymoo
March 4th, 2014, 02:28 PM
I take 1200 a day as you will not get enough from food sources while on the le diet. 400 a day is ok if you are eating a good nutrient full diet. You might want to up your dose but please check with Atomic first.
So we have Ireland, US, UK and Canada. :)

I use a locking pill case in my cabinet with the days labeled on it. So I can tell if I still need to take them. I sometimes leave it on the counter to remind myself. Thankfully my kids don't mess around with stuff like that. And it's hard to open. But I prefer it in the cabinet. I forget about one day out of seven ;)

I'm in the US too. East coast, super close to the water, actually :) I've pretty much lived here my whole life except a brief stint in Canada in my early-20s.

I have my pill case in my purse, and I have set timer on my phone for 5pm everyday. That way I don't forget, and I hit snooze if I have to get a drink, that way if I am distracted by a kid on the way to the kitchen to get a drink, it goes off again after 9 minutes.

Rosie: I liked your post for the witty sarcasm about flip flops...not the sickies :(

I really, really think a lot of folks are struggling will illness right now because of the crazy weather. I have two kids down with some weird mild-cold that is lasting forever. I actually had a little cry fest earlier because my daughter is sleeping SO.incredibly.badly that I am über frustrated and needing emotional space. I literally get 1-2 hours daily without her attached to me lately (that is in a 24-hour day, not a morning to bedtime one). My hubby is in the dog house because he just doesn't get it. And even when I try to explain how mind-numbing it is to be attached to a child so completely, he just acts like I'm over-reacting. Jerk face.

Sorry, tangent there. I'm sorry to hear you are sick again :( Im crossing my fingers that spring comes along soon. I'm really over the ridiculous weather of this winter. My head can't handle 60 degrees on Saturday and 20 on Sunday with 4 inches of snow.

Hotdogz, that sucks, maybe when he walks in tell him you have to go somewhere and go for a walk or drive 30 minutes to an hour is great especially when you feel so frustrated.
Speaking of weather, it's going to be 60 here tomorrow. I have always loved winter but this year, she over stayed her welcome! Thinking about taking the boys to the park or zoo after I get off work.
So last night I was over my inlaws and they were showing pictures of when my youngest was around one, I said oh I miss that little baby. My mother in law says well we need another girl you can give us that and then you'll have a baby again. My sil (who has the only girl) starts clearing her throat really loudly and making all kinds of noise. It really ticks me off because she told me once that they have their grand daughter they don't need another. She is always trying to discourage me from having another baby, just recently this past weekend. I wanted to tell my mil I am working on it, but your other dil doesn't want me to. But I just kept my words to myself. I thought about that all night what my mil said, I love her so dearly we are so much alike and such good friends, I would love to give her a grand daughter she asks me at least once a month. Sorry for the long story that has nothing to do with anything, just thinking.....

Aw dreaminginblue...I'm sorry to hear that you need to wait for now, I know that must have been hard to decide. But I understand and I hope you'll keep us posted if you do decide to go for a boy in the future. Best wishes to you!

And Married...gosh. What a character your SIL is. I love, love, love hearing that you really like your MIL and want to give her what she desires. I always like stories like that because my MIL is a psycho (lol). But your SIL sounds like a real witch. And I really, really hope that you get to give your MIL another granddaughter. And I'm sure yours will be cuter ;)

Feel better Rosie! It's gotta head of of here eventually. Hopefully spring is right around the corner.

I'm not feeling so hateful today. This week has been brutal. I steam cleaned our carpets today...made me feel so much better. Lol. Between the headaches and the sick kids, I've gotten so little done that even small movements are good ones. And I cleaned out my kids closets, but that always makes me sad...they grow so darn quick :(

MarriedMom - I'm sorry your SIL is acting this way, definitely jealousy. I would ignore her tbh. I don't think those who have our DG's seem to appreciate how difficult it is for us especially when we're having to change aspects of our diets etc to hopefully get our GD.

Okay ladies, I have one week to get 100% better so I can start exercising again and still have 6 weeks with that and the diet. I guess it is a blessing in disguise that my cycle got all wonky and was pushed back two weeks.

A little off topic of the swaying but I took my oldest who is special needs to see his kindergarten school for next year today and ugh!! it is just awful. The school is tiny. I feel so sad for him. I know the way a school looks doesn't mean the education is bad but I can't help but think that. I wish I could win the lottery and move to a nice neighborhood with a wonderful school. le sigh.

Hi Rosie, gosh that's awful you don't like the school Are there any other schools in the area? How did you feel about the staff because if the staff are great then the school will be great hopefully Why not ask a few moms who sent their children there before and see what they thought of it. It is hard I know because you only want what's best for your kids.

Hotdogz, lol sorry your mil is crazy, my mother is, I had to tell her to stop acting like a 5 y/o last week.

Rosie, I'm sorry you don't like the school that sucks, like daisy said, we only want the best for our children. Here's an idea, not sure if this will work for you but hey maybe it will. My closest friend whose son is autistic felt the same way. What she did was got him diagnosed, asked a few specialists what all services he would need, which was pretty much everything. She then took all the information to the SSI (?) office (I think that's what it's called, where mentally or physically disabled people can get assistance with out it being disability). She then searched our area for the best programs found apartments in that area. She was able to get financial assistance for him from the SSI office and she used that to move their family to a better neighborhood where he gets all the therapy and etc he needs free through the school. They even come out to the house after school if they feel like he needs more help. It's a really great school. I am not sure if that will help in any way but that's what she did.

Hi! Hope you guys don't mind another joining you..

When are you planning on trying? June
Have you started to sway yet? No, I plan on starting the diet April 1
Did you get a personalized plan or are you working on your own? I ordered a plan and I'm waiting to receive it.
Which gender are you hoping for? I have 1 DS (17 months), I would love a DD
Any concerns you have currently? I normally eat paleo (no wonder I have a DS!) so I'm freaked out about how difficult the LE diet will be for me. I'm also really torn on how to do our timing/frequency and whether to take supplements. Hoping the personal plan answers all my questions!

Welcome blue bonnet! We can always use more mamas in here! We are having a ball chatting it up while we wait/plan.

Ill admit, I am goofily worried about something. I spend so much time on here guessing at nubs (and sometimes secretly guessing at ramzi method, although I know it's never as "certain")...I can't figure out how we will manage to be team green next time. I really, really want a surprise baby. But I'll basically have to avoid all early sonograms (to avoid ramzi thoughts and nub thoughts) and then look away in all later sonograms. And I just don't know I can handle not seeing baby for 20 weeks until the anatomy scan. :( Plus, I have this blood clotting issue that means they usually do more sonograms than usual. Bah. I kinda wish I hadn't gotten so skilled at picking out nubs. Lol. Now I feel like ill "know" right away. My only solution is to call at 10 weeks preggo and ask for an NT scan the following week, so it would be too early for a guess. The trick is to not go insane for those 10 weeks!! We have seen all of our babies several times by then in the past.

I'd like to go team green if I get a BFP next week. Hubby wants to find out regardless so if it is a boy we can be ready whereas I just think we could buy a few neutral outfits as we have lots of pink stuff from the girls

With each of my pregnancies I've wanted to hold out but never had the willpower. I'd love this one to be a surprise being our last baby. I would just be worried about gender disappointment :( Very recently I re-read my online mother's due in group and can't believe how devastated I was upon finding out I was baking another girl. If it comes to that, I don't want to be going through that after I have bub. I have a history of depression.

Boys I have a history of depression so I am worried about GD. Luckily I was fine with DD2 but I was devastated with DD1 but came round to it pretty quickly but how she was born left me feeling like a failure and I suffered PND for a few weeks after.
I think if next one is a girl, I'll not be disappointed. We have gone from only wanting one following DD1 birth to 3 following DD2 but that no. 3 scares me, boy or girl, we'll be outnumbered by LO's!
I have been spooked by a few recent sways/scans who were so sure they'd got their GD and are so sad about it not. We'll just have to remember we're making it more favourable for babies overall as I think the HE diet is better anyway and all the supps will be good for them anyway.
But I'm totally ready to be freaked out by boy bits everytime I change him!

I'm pretty sure I had PND as well. When DD#2 would wake through the night for a feed my ex would often find me crying well after the feed was finished. No reason to be crying. I even cried while still in hospital with DD#2. Every time my ex went to leave.

Welcome Blue!!

Hotdogz- I understand your worries! It is easy for me not to get caught up in nubs because I never get an ultrasound before 20 weeks unless I pay extra. I did get one last time to date and it was in the ramzi time period but she never told me how she took the picture so I couldn't guess from it.

Dreamin- feeling anything symptoms wise yet that may lead you to believe you will get your bfp??

I don't know tbh. Lower backache and sharp twinges & mild crampiness in the leftside, achy boobies, hungry all the time and v.irritable. I've been tracking them so if it's BFN I'll know in future these maybe typical AF symptoms.

Hubby has banned us from buying anymore HCG's till next Monday when I would've truly missed a period. I have given him today but tomorrow I may just break that. Though his reasoning is that he wants to purchase a bigger to accomodate 3 child seats. So I'm OK with holding off and does seem kind of silly to keep testing and not believe a negative till AF so makes sense, just impatient. Still have twinges on the left and hungry but otherwise OK.
Hoping it is BFN just so I can get a chance to get a good sway before TTC but shall see.

So I think I have decided to stop tracking my fat and protein. I am going to focus on just eating different than I did so still no meat and less snacking and less treats so I will still have less fat but I need to stop stressing over every little gram...it is really getting to me. I do plan on watching the calories which isn't hard to do without an app and I naturally eat less when I don't snack and eat big meals like I used to. My biggest focus is of course less calories, no snacking and getting that low blood sugar period. Of course when I am better I will restart my exercise too.

My phone swallowed my last reply. I'm feeling increasingly irritable. AF is due Sunday and hubby has banned me from buying anymore tests till Monday. I was out this morning and managed to forgo buying more but I don't know if I can holdout. I'm not sure if I'm more agitated waiting or because AF is rumbling away, getting ready to make her appearance. Or because of lack of a good nights sleep. Gah wish I wasn't symptom spotting! And I realize testing this early is a waste but I was hoping any HCG present might leave a faint BFP. Least if it is just AF I'll know what to expect. Feel so out of touch with my body :(

When I go home after work I immediately want to clean and straighten and get panicky if I feel as though things are getting out of control. This (jogging) is taking more out of me so I am less determined to get everything done asap. I plan to up it to an hour starting the 31st.
I am slowly changing things, diet and etc, I officially have no more cereal lol. All gone, only the kids have the kind that they eat.

Hi girlies, first if all welcome to our little group bluebonnet! You'll love all the ladies here - great group!!
Boysway and dreaminginblue I am sending ye all my blue dust! I really hope ye are blessed with little blue bundles, GD can be very difficult to deal with. Sorry to hear ye had issues with depression It can be so awful to deal with. Hopefully in a few months you'll be buying lots of blue onesies!!
Rosie hope you're on the mend girlie. Only a few weeks to go til April - hang in there missus! Bet you'll feel really motivated when you start exercising. I'm doing the couch potato route (yes lazy me!)
Hotdogz, I'm laughing at you trying to avoid scans!! Most people are crying out for more scans Over here you only get one at 12 weeks and one around 32 weeks, so take full advantage - just don't study them too much!
Marriedmom, haven't heard of any benefit of cinnamon to swaying. I know it lowers cholesterol but not sure of anything else. Speaking of cholesterol, bet mine is gone sky high with this diet, I'm eating tons of white bread and sweet things. It'll be worth it when I get my girl (hopefully!)
Had a very naughty weekend - several bottles of wine and a large kfc meal - totally worth it.
Anyone know which day of the cycle is best to start testing with opks?

Thanks daisy, I know it treats blood sugar as well. I don't think I will take the supplements though. I'll just add it to my coffee in the mornings. I don't know the best day because some women ovulate really early and some really late. I plan on testing the day after AF ends. I found some cheapies on amazon, $6 +$4.99 shipping for 50 strips. I am going to try those so I won't feel bad for wasteing them.

I was looking into the cinnamon as well. Not sure about taking it yet. Married is right though, it lowers your blood sugar.

Daisy, I had more than a week of cheating when I was sick...it feels good to cheat doesn't it? haha As far as the opk, I started about 2-3 days after my flow stopped so for me it was cycle day 10. I didn't ovulate last time until day 22 and I am currently on day 34 of this cycle--crazy because I normally have 28-30 day cycles at most.

Dreaming-sorry about all of the stress. Hopefully this week will pass by quickly. I find it crazy your Dh won't allow you to buy a test earlier than Monday. If I were him I would want to know earlier than later. If you got those cheapies it wouldn't be a waste of money either.

Hi ladies,
Welcome bluebonnet :welcome:
Married I've heard cinnamon helps lower blood sugar too. I think it's a great idea adding it to your coffee, maybe I'll steal your idea and try that too. Good luck for your surgery tomorrow.

I have been feeling a bit down about my sway lately. I really wanted to up my effort in March and April because we'll be trying in May. I went to the gym 5 times in a week ( never done that in my life), stuck with LE limits most days but still haven't lost any weight in 2 weeks arrrgh. Makes me so mad, especially because I have at least 30 more lbs to loose. Asked Atomic for advice and she suggests I try the Pcos version of LE diet. So that's what I'll be doing this week, hope it helps. I felt so down I had a cheat night on the weekend and ate a burger ohh it was soo good. I enjoyed every bite. I also binged on some Nutella I love that stuff. Feel better that I' m not the only one that's had a few cheats.

Always love reading everyone's posts, even though I don't post very often I always try to catch up with this thread. I really hope swaying works out for all of us :fx:

deb, Our first attempt (team blue) is next month. I am so nervous and I am having a great deal of trouble staying on the diet wagon :( While we are on opposite diets, I feel your pain. Oh, I am also supposed to be doing exercise or at the very least weights. Doesn't seem possible though :(

Anyone else have to wait to attempt until the end of next month? Even though march is half gone already I can't help but feel my attempt is so far off still since it is near the end of april. I think I would be looking at a due date of around January 15th or so if we get a BFP. How about everyone else??

April is going to be a difficult month to not have a lot of cheats, I have Ds3's birthday and birthday party and then we have Easter. agh!! I am NOT skipping Easter meal and sadly that is more than likely my attempt week, even worse!!

If my cycle behaves and I have a normal cycle then, I will ovulate this month but, we're not trying till next month. If I have another long cycle, I will ovulate the 7th of April. However, once again if my cycle behaves next month as well, ovulation should be around the 15th of April. I am hoping my cycle behaves.

If you believe in the full moon versus no moon, the 15th will be a perfect ovulation date for me, it's a full moon :)

Hi all, I checked in a few weeks ago, but was on vacay. I am back and plan to sway at the end of April.

I just had a miscarriage around 9 weeks and still waiting on first AF. I usually have short cycles around 26 days, but currently at CD22 and I can't even tell if I have ovulated. I didn't temp while on vacation, but have had weird creamy creamy CM with pinches of eggwhite. Not like my normal eggwhite. My guess is that it will either pickup soon or I have already O'd.

I used to have gorgeous EWCM, so hoping that I get it back!

I swayed for my MC baby, but I feel like I need to be refreshed- what are you blue swayers doing for your sway? I'd love to read your plans.

I am still taking vitamins/fish oil and consciously eating more protein packed foods but not high calories as I don't want to gain weight yet. I will start the HE when my next AF starts- as I will skip that cycle. I also hope to start running/gym in the next week.

Hi there Spicy. So sorry for your loss *hugs*.

I am also swaying blue.
When I do as I should I am on supps, I drink V8 vegetable juice, V8 tropical fusion, pineapple juice and grape juice as well as coconut water. I eat at least one bowl of cereal every day. Some days I eat a bowl of porridge mixed with honey and chia seeds for breakfast then cereal before bed. I am trying very hard, though not always successfully to eat three meals a day with snacks in between and where I can protein and carbs with each meal. I am going to really try hard to knuckle down as I am aiming for our first attempt to be next month. I just need to get rid of this head cold first :)

How is everyone else feeling? I hope illnesses have gone now.

My youngest child is so cute. I was looking at Facebook, little Miss on my lap when a pic of a baby comes up. Little miss says to me, "I wish we could have a baby!" It's so cute. Just about every time she sees a little baby she says that. I only hope she is as accepting when a new little baby does come along. Speaking of, I saw the most gorgeous b/g twins last night "cluck, cluck" lol.

I am sorry to hear about your loss Spicy. I hope everyone is feeling better. I was was riding on the HT train for the last couple weeks but we have decided to go ahead with the sway instead. We found out on thursday that my husbands brother has leukemia. He is 31 and quite a shock to us all. He has started treatment and is responding well. It certainly made us step back and really think about things. I had a consultation over the phone with Dr.Potter and it just reassured me swaying was best for us at this point and time. Are any of you ladies swaying with clomid and the diet?

Welcome to the group spicytuna. Sorry to hear about your loss, I can only imagine it must be hard.
Boysway kids are so adorable with what they aren't they?
O18e that's really tough about your brother in law It certainly puts things in perspective doesn't it? I don't know anything about Clomid sorry. I'm just using le diet and supps for my sway Although I seem to be getting naughtier with cheats every weekend now! Have to start behaving My attempt is in three weeks!! Have you heard that Clomid is good for swaying pink?

o18e, oh wow. I can certainly see how that would be a shock. All the best for your bil. Sending healing his way. Good luck with your sway :D I have heard various things about Clomid but, I haven't really paid attention due to swaying blue.

daisymoo, it melts my heart when she says she wants a baby. She will be 4 next month and adores babies. At the moment she is excited about having a new baby cousin arrive next month. Mind you, she got all shy when I told her to tell Daddy what she told me.

So, who is swaying next month. I'm sorry, I just can't remember, lol. How is everyone feeling about their up and coming sways? Any one else started a plan for their attempt month?

It's so cute. I think girls in particular love babies, much more so than boys. I think they're born maternal! I was an only child until I was nine and wanted a brother or sister all the time just to look after. I was so happy when my brother was born. Well hopefully your little girl will be getting a brother very soon!
I think I'm ready for my attempt month. will be taking my usual supps af-o and then going to bd every four days and after that lots of prayer!! Are you all set for yours?

I will be attempting toward end of April. I restart my exercise tomorrow and should be able to get my 6 weeks in of it. I am already tired just thinking about it but I refuse to not include exercise seeing the results it is getting. I feel it is my best and maybe only shot at a girl.

I am pretty sure I have contracted endometriosis since my last birth so I am hoping and praying I can still get pregnant easily. I doubt I would be able to keep up the exercise very well after the 6 weeks is up.

Hotdogz, my boys are always rambunctious , that's part if the fun lol. :)

Haha. Rambunctious was a nice word for what I meant ;) They are typically pretty spirited guys. I just don't like to say "bratty." Lol. Just normal age stuff, being 4.5 and 2.5 together is an interesting mix. But they have been better the past couple days. Honestly, this weather is enough to make us all go insane. We finally could be outside for a couple days and I think it helps tremendously. They need to run and be free! Kids and inside is not a good combo. But, alas, we are getting up to a foot of snow again and it's going to be cold and rainy for days after that.

I'm feeling a tad clucky lately. Surprising to me, since it hit a little quickly. But this was about the time we conceived J in K's life, so it makes sense. I was very clucky then too. Snuck up on me. So I guess I'll be solidifying some details and ordering some stuff online. What are the fiber supps called again? I forget. Hubby is starting olive leaf sometime soon. He knows we are swaying, but I'm not doing LR for him this time (really, he shouldn't have last time either, he has HBP). So he is just doing OLE and tighty whiteys (well, boxer briefs). He has the easy job! Lol. I just ate a 1/4 of a container of ice cream. Clearly not starting the diet yet :P

Welcome Spicy! I'm sorry to hear about your loss. I hope things settle in nicely for you to sway blue and you have a successful attempt. I love that our blue swayers have come in more recently. We needed some blue attempts to balance the pink ones. :)

Good luck to those trying next month!! It snuck up quick!

daisymoo, it would be awesome if I could give her a little brother. Her older sisters (from a previous relationship) have 2 little brothers from their father, not that they see them a lot. I was telling Mum about what my youngest said. Mum asked Miss 3 about it and she said she wanted a brother called Toby, lol. I think she has been watching too much Good luck Charlie. Toby is a cute name though.

I think I am ready. Every time I think about our first attempt I get butterflies in my stomach and start feeling sick. I feel there is so much that needs to be done in order for a really good attempt. I'm trying to write up a detailed attempt plan. I need to get it finished so I can run it by atomic.

Rosie, I hope you haven't developed Endo. What makes you think that? Have you definitely ovulated yet? I'm supposed to be doing light exercise. I was alright for a week or two, not so much now though :(

hotdogz, yes as always, the men get it easy! I have become more clucky lately. Mind you, I know quite a few babies being born this year including some in my family.

Rosie85

boysway- every time around ovulation and during my period my bowels hurt extremely bad. Feels like knives stabbing throughout my intestines and lower back and front abdomen. Very heavy periods and clotting. I don't get much for cramping just the severe pain. When I look it up online it points to endometriosis. My period was nothing like this before my last baby was born. I am just so nervous now I won't be able to get pregnant because that is all I hear about endo---how hard it is to get preggo and that you need surgery often to achieve a healthy pregnancy.

Rosie85
March 17th, 2014, 11:25 AM
Unlike many of you I am not feeling clucky. I don't want to be pregnant at all. It scares me. I just want to have one more baby and I want to get it done and over with and move on. I wish I could get to step b without step a, haha.

Oh Rosie that sucks, I hope it's not endo.
Hotdogs, lol I completely understand! I told dh I have some pills (OLE) for his allergies, he snores so bad this time of year, hopefully he will take them! The fiber is chitosan
I am looking forward to pregnancy only because this will be the first planned baby and I won't feel so bad about talking about it out loud instead of wondering what others think. I'll get to enjoy it! Maybe that'll make the pain easier to endure. But , pregnancy itself is horrible, pain and sickness is the worse!!!

Awww, Rosie, that sounds terrible :( Have you spoken to your Dr about it? Hopefully it isn't endo. I think it's natural to be at least a little anxious when pregnant. I remember with one of my pregnancies, I didn't go to the doctor about it till I was about 3-4 months along. I had a mc between baby #1 and baby #2 and due to my Mum having so many mc's before she carried me to term, I was terrified of losing that baby as well. Huge *hugs*.

Hello abifasc :)

Hello odd, I hope you had a nice holiday :)

daisymoo, Happy St Patricks day to you. Ours was yesterday :D

My first bubs were both around 5lb 5oz. Mind you they were both born around the 36 week mark. Bub #3 was my biggest at 8lb 2oz and my youngest was 6lb 2oz. I am nervous about the birth though. Miss 3 was 2 days late but, in a hurry to get here once labour started. Got to the labour ward 10pm, she arrived 10:19pm. Doing the in gender diet although not going so well have been doing supplements and temping also. it seems the less i'm supposed to eat the more i want to and do eat don't think i've lost any weight so far i'm 5 foot 8 and weigh 10 stone is that bad?

hotdogz&boyz
March 18th, 2014, 02:53 PM
Sure Lya! We love new people. And it's not about where you start. So, no, your weight is not "bad." We have people starting at all different weights and heights. It's more about the change you put your body through. So, if you can manage, take off a little bit of weight through limiting nutrients (calories, fat, and protien) and THAT is what sways pink. Don't be crazy obsessed with it, just kinda keep track of what you are eating, how much and when, and aim to eat a tad less (not less than 1500 cals though) and don't snack as much. I'm not sure what 10 stone is, but I'm sure just 5-8lbs lost would make a big difference (in terms of swaying). I am 5'10" and starting at 160-165lbs and will aim to lose about 10 when we sway. I will be fine losing 10lbs, it's within my healthy weight range. So if 5lbs is feasible, aim to lose that over the next few weeks :) Or whenever you aim to sway.

My bubs aren't small critters, but they aren't really big either because they are generally born early. I have had all of them before 38 weeks (36+6, 37+2, 37+6). They were 6.10, 8.4, and 7even. I'll expect the next to be similar in size and gestation. Although anything could happen! Me and my one brother were mid-9s and my other brother was almost 11!! I am one of those ladies who is crazy envious of short-laboring ladies. I have LONG labors, even with it being pitocin augmented (twice). Never less than 9 hours, longest was...wait for it...61 hours!! No pain meds. Bah...next time I want an epi ;) (I say that everytime). But seriously, is it too much to ask to have one that is like 6 hours or something?? They are events for me. My body doesn't want to give it up easily. Lol.

Can I run this by you all-esp swaying experts? I gained 8 pounds on the HE diet through food and muscle gain. I have lost 1-2 pounds during the pregnancy and since this miscarriage. I am unsure about how much or if I still need to gain weight. I imagine after eating the same foods ill probably gain a few, but I can't imagine another 8 more (AND I DON"T WANT TO GAIN THAT MUCH!)

So, I was 127 before (and underweight), HE diet to 135, and now around 133/134. I also was on vacay so eight a lot, so some of that was maintained by eating high cals on vacay.

Does the December weight gain count towards my HE gain?

SpicyTunaSushi

Sorry if that wasn't clear.

Hi spicy, sorry I'm not really an expert on swaying but I do have three boys and when I conceived them I wasn't putting on any weight I was just eating really healthy foods with lots of healthy fats and very high protein with zero carbs. Worked for blue for me three times!! I certainly wasn't losing any weight but wasn't gaining either. Having said that I was walking everywhere so maybe that kept weight off. I think once you're eating foods from HE diet you should be fine and not worry about weight gain too much. As I said I'm not an expert but hope that helps a bit.

Eeek, I so may have made an opps baby this month. We've been using condoms waiting for my April cycle..well this month it was 4 days before and well, we we're out, so I thought meh, the probability of pregnancy with one attempt 4 days before O is like null. Then I ovulated a day early, and my temp dropped yesterday at DPO 5 and shot back up today. I know DPO 5 seems early for an implantation dip, but my last pregnancy (miscarriage) was DPO 6, and with all three of my kids I got a positive test DPO 8-9 so I think I'm just an early implanter. Ugh, my sway for April was beauuutiful lol March was just so-so, but hopefully enough if it is a BFP it's a wee lass.

^^Ruh roh ;) If you were already swaying, I wouldn't worry about an oops. It was a one-attemper and I'm sure things were headed into pink territory anyway. But it does sound like a little bundle is on the way (I implant early too).

And Im so sorry Odd. :( What a bummer. Hopefully you heal quickly and can get right back in after another month.

And Spicy, I agree with the other ladies. I think eating HE might be good, even if you aren't gaining any weight. One of my sons I was actively gaining. And one I was maintaining, but eating a rather HE friendly diet. So I don't think it's absolutely necessary to gain to get a son. Just suggested. Maybe try for just 1-2lbs and leave it at that. If your are only eating 2300 or so, it could take a month to gain that little bit of weight.

Am I the only pink swayer who is struggling to come up with dinners that are family friendly? My husband eats tons and tons of meat (I normally do too!), and I typically cook things like casseroles with ground beef in them. I'm starting the diet June 1 and I still have no idea how I'm going to deal with cooking 2 dinners every day! My DS is a toddler so he doesn't eat much. So basically sounds like I'll be cooking 2 dinners for 2 people nightly. Any creative ideas ladies?

Yeah, I still feel semi confident in it, I've been on the LE diet since Jan. and lost 10 lbs, plus vitex and SP since Dec, I just didn't do any of the EWCM reducing stuff like benydrl and next cycle I was starting clomid. I'll still be thrilled if I am pregnant, seems it always is easier when you aren't trying lol Took us 8 months with DS 3 and 11 with my miscarriage.

On the diet point, I'd die without diary and beef, I think I'm just too Norse to be vegetarian, so what I do is stay vegetarian during the day, limiting protein as much as I can. (I eat a lot of salads lol) then at dinner I eat what ever the family is and have a smaller portion. It's a win-win because my DH and kids don't have to suffer a diet that they really don't need and I still get my beef and cheese. I've consistently stayed under 35-40 g of protein that way with just a few overages. I don't think it's ideal as far as swaying, but more livable for me. I think I'd cheat way more if I tried to go hardcore style.

unwirklich, that sounds like a promising sway anyway. Have my pink dust ;)

odd, ow that sounds painful. I hope your fall doesn't cause lasting damage.

SpicyTuna, I have also put weight on with the diet. I am pretty sure it is due to the juice I have been drinking. Mind you, I put weight on after May last year when I had a new Mirena put in. I think the Mirena put weight on me and because I started the diet before the Mirena was taken out I didn't have the opportunity to lose the weight.

daisymoo, It's obviously up to you and what is recommended but, I know the cycle I fell pregnant with Miss 8, we DTD once in the afternoon, that night I got my +OPK I remember coming out of the bathroom and telling my partner we would have a girl, lol. With Miss almost 4, we dtd in the morning of the +OPK and the morning after.

Thanks girls think I'll start dtd on cd6 and go every four days from that.
Bluebonnet, I always end up cooking twice a day (Irish mammy!) I do a dinner for my boys and dh and then do a separate meal for myself later on, either pasta with w watchers sauce or salad on petit pain rolls.
Getting used to it now though but dying to get back to eating big dinners with the rest of the family! It's kinda hard cooking a full roast chicken dinner and then not eating any of it! Hopefully I get my bfp in the first few months and can get back to normal diet soon. :)

bluebonnet Easy Recipes & Easy Cooking Ideas from Pillsbury.com (http://www.pilsbury.com) has great family recipes, they have the nutritional info as well, which makes it even easier when picking out meals because I choose meals that are within my limits for dinner. my DH is a huge meat eater as well, but he can't eat what we don't have a ton of in the house, which is meat.

Thanks ladies! I am relieved to be exercising again. Last night I rolled my ankle walking down the stairs...I can't believe it! It doesn't hurt too bad though and I think I will still try working out tonight on it. I don't need another set back.

How is everyone else doing?! We are quickly approaching April now and I know a lot of us are attempting and or starting to tighten our diet up. I need to start remembering to take my supplements, I am still having issues doing that! yikes.

Thanks everyone for ur wishes and concerns. It turns out, I wasn't hurt that bad..lower back hurts jist a tiny bit, other than that back to normal. It was gorgeous out yesterday so went for a looong walk - felt nice.

Rosie I hope your ankle feels better soon! Everything is going great! I am tightening up on my diet, turns out I should be eating between 1800-2000 calories a day, no idea how I am going to do that seeing how yesterday I calorie counted and it was around 1300. Oh well.
Odd I am so glad that your back is better! It has really been getting nice out here too!
Ladies I am getting so excited! I feel like I have already been told I am pregnant and it's a girl. lol I just want to meet her and see if she has my eyes! Is that weird? Oh but in the mean time I have been watching compilationtv ( channel) on youtube, the pregnancy ones (videos), it is hilarious! I am in a really good mood today and that = rambling lol.

Im going to try to tighten my diet from now on. Are you pink swayers eating meat at all? Ive only been eating chicken, fish and occasionally pork. Whereas before I had quite a lot of red meat.

I also need to remember to take my supplements and to give dh his!

Im too cant imagine I would have anything else than a girl now as im doing as much of a sway as I can.

The only thing im not too sure about when the time comes is douching. I kind of feel like I need a step by step how-to on it lol.

Lyagirl..i've been a vegetarian my whole life but still had a boy coz i ate a lot and really healthy.
I am Indian too so there's no way for me to blend my food iut lol..
I think as atomic stresses over and over, stayingunder our limits is more important and cutting grazing out. .clearly, millions of women around the world conceive girls on non veg diet..

Well, tested today (DPO 9) and it was neg, so I think I'm in the clear. Kinda of an odd feeling, I'm disappointed and happy at the same time. lol Cause I want to be pregnant, but I also feel April will be a stronger sway for me. Gonna try to exercise everyday until the attempt and tighten down on my diet.

Can you blue and pink swayers tell me what you think of my Blue diet? I did this for my last pregnancy in December (ended in MC) and had loads of ewcm and got pregnant the first try- so it's probably OK, but DH has horrible back spasms right now and his sleep count is low. He hasn't taken anything to treat the pain- but has been doing physical therapy. Do you think the lack of sleep plus stress will hurt his sperm count too much?

Breakfast- Steel cut plus rolled oats with whole milk. Coffee with whole milk (4 ounces)

Morning Snack: Handful of Almonds, raisins, dried fruit, 1 glass of orange juice- full pulp

Lunch: Peanut Butter/Honey on whole wheat, a large 16 ounce green smoothie (spinach or kale- plus berries, banana, orange, chia seeds, full fat yogurt), hard boiled egg

Afternoon snack: 1 glass of whole milk, 1 glass of V8, cottage cheese, a few pumpkin seeds

Dinner- Either Chicken, Beef, Pork or Tuna, plus a green veg and other veggie side

Snack- Almonds or yogurt or cereal with milk

I feel like I need more variety. I am meeting my 100g of protein and 3500+ potassium and of course, 5-9 servings of veg/fruit.

Plus- Women's daily vitamin, fish oil, extra FA, and 8 cups water per day (plus occasionally green tea)

Had a ton of cheats this weekend so far. Went out to eat and pasta with protein and then the next day a turkey dinner. oops!!! Cupcakes and lemon cake were involved as well. I went well over the limit for fat both yesterday and today. I feel like I ate "normal" and I feel bad about it but at least now I know I was doing well with the diet before!

Spicy, have you tried V8 fusion juice? That's a good one as well. Lemon juice is also good to put in your water :D

I haven't tried V8 fusions- I'll have to check it out. :)

So, DH has been sick with a cold and a fever crept up on him (99.5) so very mild and it was kept down with ibuprofen. We also iced his boys to keep them cool.

We are so very frustrated- we had a mc after a perfect sway, and following that, DH has had major back issues with a bulging disc and getting very little sleep at night, followed by this fever. I thought my cycle would take a long time to return, but 27 days after my mc, it came, so that is good.

We were going to try in April, but now we might delay 10 weeks, until May, to up our chances of higher sperm count. What would you do? I will say that when we swayed for DD2, DH had 2 fevers in the month before. I don't think he has particularly low sperm count, but we want to keep the numbers high.

The good thing about skipping April is that we could skip the Christmas baby (as I have early babies).

What would you do? I am desperate to try after this M/C, but I don't want to rush my DH's health.

I know that I've read on here trying right after a MC sways girl and in one study April was the most common month to conceive a girl, but I forget the study name now. (unless you are near the equator or in the southern hemisphere). For me the MC data on the girl sway spread would be more concerning than anything, so if this is cycle 1 after, I'd wait for sure.
