You crack me up girls! So funny

Go Stephk!!

Rosie, I'm also taking notes from your 'book' hehe and will need that stool too lol
Marriedmum, love your dream! Would love to have a see thru belly when I'm pregg

I need to get my 'mojo' back as at the moment I wish I could get preggo without the DTD lol - poor hubby!
I'm just a bit apprehensive since the surgery. I need to get in the mood for luuuv ;-)

I don't blame you Lavien. After my c-section with my first I was terrified to have sex and my husband was too. Maybe a little massage and alcohol would help you out??

I think it would be cool to get as many ladies in the shower as we could and see how many of us come out with girls! haha. Everyone I know that conceived in the shower had girls but they were all mainly oopsie babies but also one attempts so maybe that says something??!

Once when I was pregnant with DS2 I had a dream that he popped his head out of my stomach and started talking to me....creepy!!

Rosie that dream would have creeped me out too!

Lavie, I bet any type of surgery will take it's toll on your body so maybe it just needs a bit of tlc at the moment. Maybe try a night away if you could at all. Might do you the world of good after what you've been through. It would be nice though to have a magic wand to just make us all pregnant without all this ttc lark! :)

Hehe Steph!! Hope tonight is your night Rosie xx
Married your trip sounds fabulous!! So relaxing...
Daisymoo I think your advice to Rosie is the best for yourself :) stick with every 4 days, I know you want to get pregnant but you have only had one attempt and this could very well be your month!! And one attempt has seen great results. Next month if there is one you can re-evaluate!! good luck xxxx

Wow, you ladies sure have been chatty :) It sounds like sways are moving ahead nicely. We had a couple of problems this morning. Dh had shall I say performance anxiety. Then when we tried again he got a leg cramps. Me, I have anxiety. Breathless, racing heart, feeling sick :( I have light fade in for OPK's. I hope I get my +OPK tomorrow night. I managed to get my Mum and DSD to look after the kids tomorrow night :D Mind you, I have very stretchy cm atm, which is most unlike me. I don't usually have much I think it's because I upped my Robitussin. I have night shift tonight but, hoping to get a little bd in before I head off to work. Dh says he has some anxiety about it all. He even suggested we should try and be a bit more creative with things. He seemed keen on the lingerie idea :fx:

What do you think ladies? One or two days away? I'm thinking one. Maybe even today. I had a cup of tea about 1 1/2 hours ago. Cervix is also up high and I think soft. Definitely high though as I can only just reach it. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/04/25/a5asyryb.jpg

Looks good boysway!! I'm no expert but you look like one day away to me. deft try and get a few attempts in and rock that saucy lingerie!! Hope your anxiety goes away honey that is so stressful though I really think it will help your sway as both my boys were conceived when I was mega anxious had just had bad anxiety attacks/ insomnia bouts!
Stretchy cm is also great for blue hope this is your month xxxx

yay boysway - looks very close - I bet you get your positive tomorrow! Hope the lingerie works so you get some action before you go to work :) - the stretchy cm is perfect and I always used to get that a few days leading up to O - its a great sign for upcoming O and a great sign for blue - yay!

Thanks kitkat :) Plenty of eggwhite cm (touch wood) I know it's not preseed as I last used that about 12am last night. The anxiety is frustrating. It doesn't help I have a cough as well so getting a sore chest from feeling breathless and the cough. Ah well. Lol, I hope I can fit into my lingerie. Most of it is probably at least two sizes too small.

steph, yes I am seeing it as a positive sign. I don't usually get ewcm leading up to ovulation :D

Thanks for the positive thinking suggestions as well, I think from stephk and daisymoo. I have been visualising, I never used to be a praying person. Well, I was for a while then lost faith and have slowly regained my faith. So, now I also pray to Archangel Gabriel for a healthy little boy :D I have been waiting such a long time for my little boy.

argh i just realised i forgot to bring an OPK to work with me!! By the time I am able to test tonight (6/630) it will be pretty pointless but will see..... oh well I guess as its only CD11 it would be highly unlikely that I would get a positive anyway. Silly me lol

Boysway your dh won't be able to resist you if your bra is two sizes smaller! You'll be pouring out of it and will look fab! On a serious note though would ye try having a few beers? All my ds were conceived after a lot of beer and vodka. It will definitely relax your man. My dh would be the same if I told him we have to dtd now, but a few beers softens the edge on the situation. You could also try dtd very early in the morning by waking him up gently They say most men are in the mood first thing in morning. And don't worry too much. You're a girl mom You're not supposed to be as worried as us boy moms!! Can't help you with opk though I'm useless at reading them sorry.
Steph did you have an attempt last night? If you did then you're ok for another four days and once you can test today's opk before 8pm it will still be valid.

boysway I dont have one because I just had a 95 day cycle since stopping BCP and now on CD11 of the current cycle. I do hope it will be less than 95 days this time!! The tests are so cheap, I have the same ones as you so just figured it would be a good time to start testing. Current plan is to BD when we can (because every 4 days has been putting too much pressure on both of us) and then take a view on whether to BD at pos OPK depending on when the last BD was. Its no big deal that I forgot it today really I am just a bit annoyed with myself for forgetting.

Boysway your dh won't be able to resist you if your underwear is too small! You'll be spilling out of that bra! You'll look very womanly!! But on a serious note have you tried maybe having some beers? My dh would be the exact same if I told him that we had to dtd at a certain time. One or two beers just seem to take the edge off the situation. The other thing you could do is wake him up gently in the morning (wink wink!!) ;)Men seem to be most up for it in the morning time apparently! Most of all don't worry about it You can still get a few attempts in by looking at your opk. You're a girl mom You're not supposed to be as anxious as us boy moms Actually that might be good for your sway!!
Stephk, hope you managed to get an attempt in last night And you're still quite early in your cycle so you shouldn't worry about opk today. As long as you test before 8pm you'll be fine. I think the way you have chosen to dtd is great and relaxed which will help your pink sway a lot. Might be the route I'll be taking next month.

aw poor guy if he is feeling depressed it might be worth taking a little break from ttc this month and maybe he can relax a bit. Maybe just a few weeks off from ttc might make him feel just right as rain again hopefully. You should take some time for yourself too. All this ttc lark seems to be taking it's toll on you on hon. I would still get someone to mind your kids as planned and just go for a bite to eat etc and no dtd. It might do ye the world of good to get off the topic for a while. Hugs to today x

so sorry boysway. I hope hubby comes around for you.

I got my positive last night at 10:30 right after Dh and I had another argument, haha. I wasn't expecting it and was stunned when it showed up. So we got over our fight which was actually about attempting and we had DH release once on his own and then we got in the hot shower. It took a while... because it was after one release and then he drank some wine too.

I painted my nails and put on my rose quartz bracelet and stayed up a bit before going to sleep next to my salt lamp, hahaha...can't hurt right?? Now it is morning and I am starving but really want a 16 hour minimum fast. I had a little wine before attempt at 10:30pm. I haven't eaten since 6:30pm though. I should count the wine still I am thinking.

stephk
April 25th, 2014, 10:57 AM
I never count wine just when I last ate....damn oh well at least my drinking is weekend only! Cant wait to mix a cosmo when I get home :)

Been so hungry this week. At the moment, my colleagues are sitting around me eating a delicious looking carrot cake! I wish they would hurry up and finish it because I am feeling very weak right now!!!

It is so cool reading about other people with all of the same thoughts and concerns that I have!
My DH has been getting pretty fed up with all of this, too.
He's been doing FR for the last ten days and says he feels "used and abused" I told him to hang in there and we just had our attempt last night. I had a light-ish line on the OPK, but figured it was only a day before my +opk and decided to go for it, as I didn't want to try to put him through another night of FR. If it doesn't work this month, I think we're going to need to switch to abstaining next month, as this is too much for him.
I tested this morning and it was really close to a +OPK, so I am wondering if I should maybe have him release on his own, around 7 this evening and then BD one more time, around 9 or 10 tonight. What do you ladies think??

Boysway
April 25th, 2014, 11:24 AM
Thank you so, so much for your support and kind words ladies. I really, really appreciate it xxx

Kitkat, hubby is tired all the time anyway. He works for himself so, is always busy. He does also feel pressured for the bd as well. I'm kicking myself for making him feel pressured. It wasn't intentionally but I felt he needed to know it was coming up because we bd so rarely.

Daisymoo, this is our first month of trying. I'm nervous the further we get along without a bfp the more disheartened hubby will feel.
I will keep up with everything I'm doing and let dh lead. That's all I can think of.

Fingers crossed for you Rosie :)

aww thanks Daisy! I'd like to think you are right! I hope we all get our DG. Dh and I had a moment of silence before BDing. We spoke to our daughter to let her know how much she is wanted and loved already. I have also wrote her name on several things...giving her a sign. I am truly hoping I fall pregnant right away. I just had a feeling yesterday and then when I didn't get my positive I thought maybe my feelings were off but then there it was! 10:30 pm out of nowhere. This has to be it!

it is impossible for me to keep up with the support threads, so if you guys all have certain concerns can you please just start a thread in the forum and ask? I sometimes find that bad info gets spread in the support threads but it is just not possible for me to keep up with them.

Rosie85

Elise I would not make another attempt. You should still have sperm inside from your original attempt. If it ends up being a few days from now instead of tomorrow than you could consider another BD.

daisymoo
April 25th, 2014, 11:50 AM
Boysway my dh went through something similar a few years back. He's also self employed. But basically he was so tired and depressed a lot and had no interest in bd for months on end. Eventually he went to the doc who said it is just something that men can go through at some stage in their lives. My dh was around 40 at the time. So hopefully your dh will feel better once the pressure is off. And I bet it'll be before you know it.
Elise the general rule is bd once at positive opk or else bd every four days. So it depends on how far away you are from positive. Nearly positive could be 2 or 3 days yet. Have another attempt four days from your last attempt if you don't get positive opk today. If you get a positive tomorrow I think I would attempt as you may not ovulate for 24/36 hours from that and the spermies from your last attempt might be gone by then.

Oh no I am sorry boysway. Maybe you just shouldn't tell him. Dh told me not to tell him when we will be trying, just tell him when I get a bfp, he doesn't like worrying about anything. All he knows is that he needs to take his OLE (which he is horrible at). Like daisy said, wake him up "gently" or "ease" him into it after a shower.
Rosie, I can't do 16hrs, I will vomit (sorry gross I know) but I can do 14. Did you drink a whole bottle of wine or just a glass? Personally if it was just a glass, I wouldnt worry about it. If it was the whole bottle I would count it.

Rosie85
April 25th, 2014, 12:05 PM
It was actually only a half glass..it was soo gross!!! haha I will be drinking a different wine tonight.

I agree boysway. Maybe just take the pressure off and just give him a nice massage and really get him turned on. Do something nice for him. Take him by surprise.

Rosie, not to sound motherly, but I would eat something. Before TTC, I was doing 5-2 diet for a few months. The jist of that was, you can eat whatever you'd like 5 days a week and two days a week, you only eat 500 calories a day- those were called fast days. The fast days were a 24 period. Since you're already on the LE, you should be careful about fasting too much. I quit 5-2, as I kept getting sick and haven't had a problem since doing LE.
I appreciate the feedback on making a second attempt. I think I am just overeager and so excited to be pregnant, but I don't want to do anything to hurt my sway. I will wait to see what happens with a +OPK. Reading all of your "kids acting up" stories is cracking me up. My boys have been wrestling and screeching all week and it's driving me nuts, yet here I am, trying to get pregnant again. I must be crazy!

Rosie85
April 25th, 2014, 12:18 PM
Not too motherly at all Elise! We are supposed to have the 14-16 hours of low blood sugar and no eating so 18 isn't that much more and it's only 14 if I count the wine. The girly eggs like the low sugar environment so I am nervous of getting too sugary for the next couple days. ha

I am crazy for wanting another, my boys are a handful! Always fighting, pushing, screeching...eeesh what am I thinking?!

I love me a glass (or two) of white wine in the evening, so I am right there with you, Rosie :)

Daisy, yes hubby has been like this for a while now. He does have self confidence issues which don't help. Dh is 35. I think sometimes he just puts too much pressure on himself.

Marriedmom, I often joke with hubby about his worrying. If he doesn't have anything to worry about, he'll find something. Don't worry, my hubby rarely has his tablets. I need to hand them to him otherwise he won't take them. Massage sounds like a good idea, we need to give something else a try.

Elise, my girls fight and argue all the time. I often wonder if I am also crazy wanting another bub. Our kids can be pretty bad with arguments. That's why it's rare for us to have time without all three.

Boysway sorry to hear your DH is feeling so stressed. I think a night out is defiantly what you's need! My DH and I never get any time together at all as we don't have any babysitters and although my family live close, they won't even look after them, so take the chance while you can and enjoy a night together!

Rosie, so glad you're now in the 2WW officially! Hopefully it's your month. 😀

As for me...I am CD10 today (from start of heavy bleeding from m/c) and really thought I'd be starting to think about using opk's and thinking about whether to attempt or not, but things haven't that way.

Things have been really bad with the m/c. Bleeding is still really heavy and I've been in so much pain. I've spent a week fighting and crying and trying to get in to see a dr and it's been a hell of a week! Anyway, finally I have a scan scheduled for Monday, it was the appointment that was supposed to be my pregnancy scan but an awesome receptionist at the radiology place is going to organise me to have a scan anyway.

So hopefully I'll have some answers on Monday as to why I'm still bleeding so much and in so much pain and then I'll be able look forward from there!

I'm so cross cause I even tried to start the exercise for my sway and I did 3 days but I just can't do it now cause I'm just in too much pain and it also makes me dizzy, so it's been put on hold 😞 Still doing LE and started supps again so I guess it's better than nothing.

I've also been looking at the kids all week, and the fact that they've been driving me mad and wondered if I really want another child, when I can't seem to do a great job with the ones we've got!?! 😕

Mumofsix, so sorry to hear you are still in such pain. I hope you get answers. It sounds like it wasn't a complete m/c. Huge hugs to you. If you need to chat at all, please feel free to pm me xx Please be kind to yourself. Yes, our family are close but, we usually have a hard time getting someone to look after the kids as well. I'll enjoy while I can. I have no doubts you are a great Mum. You have a whole lot going on right now. The kids are still on holidays so, out of routine. You have gone through and are still going through a very hard and emotionally draining experience. You just need a big hug!

Mumofsix I am sure that you are a great mom! Especially after that story of how well behaved you ds was at that party. When my boys (well the youngest) is driving me up a wall I try to remember that kids have bad days too, and some times that's just it, he is having a bad day and unlike us adults, they act like children when things are bothering them (see what I did there lol) anyway, sweetie I really wish I could make you feel better! I would, I hope your psi and bleeding subsides soon, even if you aren't ready to ttc right away again

Okay ladies it's 1am here and I am wide awake. Due to my lack of sleep last night I have been up for almost 24hrs. And dh wants to go fishing first thing in the morning, I want to go to the zoo, so apparently we are going fishing, then home to shower, then to the zoo. Lord I am going to be beat! Sn: I have been on the hunt for an oil diffuser and lavender oil, on my 2 1/2 hr grocery shopping trip, I found one in Walmart!!! Excited yes I am, the ceiling fan is on, lavender in the room and some alcoholic beverage I bought from walmart. If only it was ttc time! Oh I finished my paper at midnight, don't know how good I did since I was/am going off 3 hrs of sleep from last night. Yep I am officially into rambling mode! So you tube videos or pet rescue saga it is.... Good night ladies

Thanks boysway, I do need a hug! 👍

And marriedmom, you're so right and compared to some other kids I know our kids aren't really being that bad! They're just being loud and busy so aren't listening and are wanting to run off to play so aren't putting the bread away after making a sandwich etc...And DS2 set up a Facebook account without asking first and were having some "teen troubles" with DS1. All mostly small I know but when they're usually so good, being a "little painful" becomes a big pain cause were not used to it! 😕 And I think they're sick of being with each other 24/7... Can't wait til school goes back! 😊

It doesn't help that DH decided to paint the house in the most disorderly manner!! 😬

DS1 has just gone out for a ride with DH, DS2-5 are sitting down playing minecraft together and DS6 is cuddling up to me between playing with his toys. And he just walked up to his brothers and said "hi guys" (he is almost 2) and it was so cute. 💜💜

They drive me nuts then 10mins later they melt my heart! Little buggers!! 😉

I think part of not knowing if I want to TTC again now is cause I am so scared of going through this again or some of the things others on here have had to go through lately and I also don't want to deal with all the crap from family when they find out, especially after going through this loss, I just wouldn't want to hear their crap about another baby. 😞

I did read on here one day though that "you don't regret the children you do have, only the ones you didn't" and that thought plays on my mind. DH is keen to try again (which is funny cause he was the one who said no more kids and I had to try to convince) and he is back on his supps and drinking soy and cutting out meat, so I guess we will see how I go.

Enjoy your day fishing and at the zoo! Hope you get some sleep too. 😴

Oh Mumofsix , I have been thinking of you. I'm so sorry you are still in pain and have bleeding etc... I hope that you will soon get answers and closure on this traumatic event of your life. Be really insistent with the doctors they new to be thorough.
As for TTC, maybe you need a little break - let your body and mind heal. It's not until your body will b healed that you will start to feel like yourself again. I think exercising is maybe too early. Also, my advice would be to gay enough nutrition to help your body cope and heal. Food is the most powerful medicine at cell levels (I'm talking good healthy nutrients) - a little more green leafy veggies and fruits won't harm your sway. Above all allow yourself the right to feel how you feel. Nurture your Self and love our Self. You are a great mum don't doubt that (just the fact that you question it proves you are!).

I don't think it's my monh either - still no AF - plus I won't let my DH near me so that won't help lol. Like you I feel scared in case it happens again but we have to remain positive. Im thinking of you and sending you Big hugs And love xxxx

Hi ladies!
I am glad I found you :) I am currently CD11. Waiting patiently for Ovulation. I have been on LE for a while now but this will be our first attempt for a DD. I have not got a +OPK yet and my maybe baby is still pebbly. I don't temp because my sleep is not consistent enough and I'm scared that in going to miss my surge. I wish everyone the best of luck x

Hope you're feeling better and I know how you feel about not letting DH near you! Even if we were at a stage to be thinking about an attempt, it's the last thing I want to have to do to get that BFP. 😕

It's so amazing to have such support and such beautiful and understanding "friends". I couldn't do any of this without this site. 💛

Hey ladies. I haven't time to catch up on what I missed yet.

I had my positive opk on thursday night and it is now Saturday morning. We attempted Thursday night. I had my ovulation cramping just like always yesterday for a good while. Today I woke up and I have severe cramping and extreme nausea. I don't understand what is going on. Anyone else experience more than one day of ovulation cramping and have crazy bad cramping to boot? This pain is in my back this time by the way.

I took another opk this morning and it was still + .

daisymoo

I'm not sure Rosie but I'm guessing it's ovulation I seem to have several days of cramping before and after ovulation, and other times of the month aswell. Nothing that would make me nauseous though. Maybe your body was just gearing up for ovulation yesterday and actual ovulation has taken place today. Hope you're enjoying being in the 2ww!

Finally had time to read and catch up a bit in the thread (it's so active - fantastic!).

Boysway - sorry to hear your dh is stressed. I hope you can find a way to get him feeling better soon!

Mumofsix - So sorry to hear you are still in pain and bleeding! Take care of yourself, maybe don't start that really intense exercise until you feel your body can cope with it.

Gosh that was a lot to catch up with, I love this chatty thread!

Boysway - I am so sorry to hear about your DH. I think the ladies here have given fantastic advice. I can personally relate to the always needing something to worry about! I had some very unhelpful thinking habits in the past and went to cognitive behavioural therapy which really helped. Might be something to help your DH if he ever felt like approaching his doctor.

Mumofsix - sending massive hugs to you. I can tell from everything I have read that you are a fantastic mum and role model to your little men. I hope the ultrasound gives you the answers you need and you are able to make a decision that you are happy with.

Rosie - maybe you ovulated twice lol

Pinktink - welcome

Married - well done on finishing that paper, hope you get some sleep soon.

We have people coming round in an hour and DS is sleeping so I am trying to get DH in the bedroom as he is out tomorrow and I don't want to pressurise ourselves to BD in the week unless I get a positive OPK. Woohoo he has just announced he is going for an extra hot shower so game on :)

Welcome Pinktink!

Rosie: sounds promising with a possible 2nd O!! FX

Stephk: yeah for your attempt!

I have been POAS but although it started to show a very faint line, it has been no line at all for the last few days.... Could it be that I just 'caught' end of O ? Does the OPKs fade gradually after a + or go straight blank?
I really thought O would b near as had (sorry tmi alert!) quite a lot of creamy stretchy cm. anyway, fx AF shows up soon and makes me happy (just this once lol).

Wow, so much chatting has gone on. I have dropped in here and there just, not posted. Dh and I went out and we had a very nice time. We ended up bd on the Saturday night. I got my +OPK Saturday morning. We had a talk on the Sunday and obviously I got my wires crossed about this morning so we just bd the once on the Saturday night not this morning like I was hoping to. So, I guess I am in the 2ww. My ovulation was stronger than usual though. I got cramping and one tiny speck of blood and a tiny bit of blood tinged cm. It has happened once before for implantation but not ovulation. This morning I have cramping and I feel 'heavy' down below which feels the same way my body feels when AF is here. I'm thinking of have a lot of circulation going on down there for whatever reason.

:hugs: for our ladies going through tough times. You know what, I am so thankful for all of you. Dh and I had d&m this morning and I ended up in tears. I can't talk to anyone in person about any of this. We don't need that extra pressure. So, thank you so much for being there ladies :) I can't thank you enough xxx

I am hoping our one attempt will get us our boy. In fact, I am doing my best to visualise it. All this stuff is really getting to me. I know one attempt tends to sway pink so, trying very hard to push that out of my head. Only time will tell.

boys- I know some of my friends only had one attempt and have gotten boys so it is more than possible!! My Ds2 is kind of a one attempt if I remember correctly.

stephk
April 28th, 2014, 03:49 AM
boysway - i think your diet will probably sway harder than how many attempts you have. Also, if you had a lot of EWCM there will be many more sperm getting to the egg than if someone has hardly any EWCM, jumps and dumps and 2 attempts probably? So happy for you that you managed to get an attempt in, and one attempt is better than none.

Lavien - i cant comment on OPKs as I have never had great success with them, the only positive I ever got was when DS was conceived (the previous months TTC then I only ever got faint lines, probably didnt hold my pee long enough). I am hoping to have better luck with them this time.

Rosie - would be so hilarious if you did O twice and caught both eggs! with girls!

I am so glad we BD yesterday as DH is playing cricket tonight so I can just go to bed and go to sleep whenever I feel like it rather than it being the 4th day or whatever, it really was getting to me having to count the days with military precision lol and then BD, we just kept saying, oh we have to take one for the team and werent always into it. Especially when the cycle was 95 days it was killing both of us! FX for a shorter one this time :)

Hi ladies,

We have also made our attempt! Did it one day earlier than planned - last night, and I got opk+ today. We will stick with that attempt and a hope that it won't bee too early. Reason we did it last night is that i freaked out and thought we had missed O, but we didn't. Now I feel it would have been better to bd tonight, but I don't wanna risk anything with more attempts.

As we had a few major birthdays this month I decided not to start LE yet and I am very glad I made that decision. It's been more enjoyable being able to eat lots of the enormous Lego cake I made DS1! We have had a mini van since DS2. We always knew we would have at least 3 and I wanted 4 so it seemed smart. We liked the extra space. Sadly our boys are suppose to be super tall and a van will be too small. Now I want to get a suburban!

Boysway
April 30th, 2014, 06:03 PM
marriedmom, I have already been nagging dh for a bigger car. We have a 5 seater Holden Commodore wagon at the moment. We could get an extra seat put in but, second hand they are worth at least $1500, brand new they are worth around $5000. We would also need to pay to have it installed then we need an engineers certificate on top of that. It's cheaper to get a new car Plus, I can get more seats if we get a different car. I would rather an 8 seater. My cousin got a Mitsubishi Starwagon from my Aunty and Uncle for Christmas. She is due to have baby #3, bub #2 only turned one last month. She also often drives around other family members. So, if my Uncle is happy with a car like that, then so will I. My Uncle is my mechanic, lol. The starwagon is also in our price range as we don't want to get a loan. Unfortunately we can only afford about $1000 and at a push $2000 more then my car is worth resale. It's only worth between $6500-7000.

I forgot to say, I had a strange dream in the early hours of this morning. I dreamed I was at my doctors and worried because I had some bleeding. I felt the woman I was talking to was the Dr.'s assistant. She said "Don't worry, the Dr. said he could see two little ones moving around in there." I told hubby about my dream. He said he would move out if that was the case, lol.

Yeah, I was resigned to van, then I discovered they don't really make AWD vans anymore. We live in backwoods AK, half the time we have to drive though a foot of snow for at least 5 miles to get to town, I can't not have AWD. Pilot was the best rated SUV that sat 8 I could find.

My DH would be thrilled at twins lol He wants like 17 kids, and his grandparent actually had that many. A 2 for 1 would make him over the moon.

Well, now I am worried. Due to my little temp increase on the day I got my +OPK, FF has put my ovulation as day 21. I did override it to put ovulation day as day 20. Now I am worried that we were well away from ovulation when we bd. We only bd the night before I got my +OPK. Our chances are slim for pregnancy let alone a blue bundle :( Trying not to think negative but, it's very difficult.

Boysway I am sure I have read atomic day that it's higher odds of conception if you BD the day before pos OPK. I could be wrong but it sticks in my mind. Because she advises us girl swayers to have one attempt, she advises it to be at pos OPK so we don't obsess over tracking when the day before might be. You are still in with a chance for PG and definitely in with a chance for blue

Boysway
May 2nd, 2014, 06:01 AM
Steph, yes you read right. Atomic does say it's higher odds of conception if you bd the day before pos. However, FF had my ovulation on the Tuesday, not the Monday. +OPK was Sunday night and we BD Saturday night. That's why I felt nervous.

I had a strange thing happen today but, it eased my mind a little. I was in the bathroom just thinking about our possibly low chances when a feather blew under the bathroom door. Very random.

Hi y'all! Just wanted to introduce myself. Kinda been lurking/posting here and there for a few weeks now. Anyway...I'm Jen - 36...DH is 42 and I have three boys 17, 12 and 1.5. Hoping to sway girl this time as it's my last!! (Four c-sections is ENOUGH!) I started the diet almost 2 weeks ago and we are hoping to attempt in June. I guess the hardest thing I'm dealing with is the diet. It's taken a lot of getting used to. Like most of us with boys...I can definitely see why I have three of them. Love my steak and potatoes...and cereal and big macs and...OHH I'm just making myself hungry...LoL. I've really enjoyed reading this thread and I am hoping we all get our DG! OHH and TGIF!

After a few months of trying hard, FINALLY a BFP TODAY!!!! Two Beautiful PINK Lines at 10DPO :D & then a digital to confirm... mostly just because I wanted to SEE "Pregnant 1-2" <3 I stared and rechecked those test a dozen times. I cried and then cried again. I am in shock... Over the Moon <3 :holysheep: :running:   :pinksperm: :cheer: *STICKY BEAN!*

Good luck TxMom! Welcome! I had a blowout steak and chips last night as I'd decided today was Day One of LE! I miss meat the most when on this diet! And I know you can include it if you want to as long as you keep it in your totals, but I try to stay completely veggie.

I feel the same about staying veggie...I know if I eat a little meat...it won't just be a little. I find the stuff too yummy ! :)

Welcome txmom and good luck! The veggie thing gets easier as you go along. Allow yourself one day a week where you can stuff yourself with meat and then you will find it easier to stick to the rest of the time. I'm veggie Monday to Thursday then relax at the weekend :)

May 2nd, 2014, 02:33 PM
I'm the same steph, it's the only way I can stick to it. On the weekend (sat and sun) I eat chicken each day not a lot and two slices of bacon on Sunday mornings. I just have to get my snacking under control, still no breakfast though! I also eat whatever I want during af, my attitude completely changes and I'm like screw this lol, so two days are free days
Oh and steph, I think I am going to buy a scale.. I know I told you before I didn't have one, I might have even said I wasn't planning to buy one, well now I am

Daisymoo Mothers Day is the 11th of May here. When was your Mothers?
weeziewoozles I am so envious of your steak! :) Mmmmmm steak! I know my day is coming though when I will have steak again!
I am on day 3 of my clomid. It didn't get super real until it was time to take it. Anyone a little anxious the last couple weeks before attempt?

stephk
May 2nd, 2014, 02:45 PM
Married I don't think a scale is really necessary if you don't naturally have access to one. It just adds another level of detail to obsess over. I never used to weigh myself, only went by how my clothes felt and weighed myself on the odd occasion. Now I weigh myself because there's a scale in the gym. Trying to only do it once a week though!!

You should definitely have whatever you want when in that frame of mind otherwise it could all backfire lol

Thanks daisymoo :) I hope you get your +OPK very soon.

Rosie, I am always hanging out for the day to end so I can see that my temp is still rising. So, yes it's driving me nuts as well. I'm a few days behind you. Fingers crossed your pain was implantation related.

o18e, where are you located, if you don't mind me asking. I had anxiety for 3 days before our attempt and a couple of days after.

o18e, ahh, okay. I was asking because that's the same date Mother's day is here in Australia.

daisymoo, I sure hope it keeps going up. Trying not to get my hopes up too much as yet though. So far it's about at the same point as other cycles after ovulation. I've had one other cycle go up slowly the same as this cycle and it didn't result in a bfp. I guess the only sure fire way is to test when it is time. FF has put my testing date when AF is due (12th of May 14 DPO). My luteal phase goes from 11-13 days. I didn't get my bfp till 12 DPO last time. I think I will test on the 11 th when I am 13dpo. Fingers crossed for the perfect Mother's day present :D

Thanks girls for the birthday wishes Ate lots and lots of cake and came home and ate a full bag of giant maltesers! Then yesterday full bag of mini eggs and lots more chocolate and thai chicken noodles takeout. Was still eating at 11 last night! Ok birthday is over now so back on track today. On cd21 and still no +opk this month. Got af on cd21 last month so I'm sure it's around the corner again.

Lavienrose, yay for Af arriving :D

Fingers crossed for you Rosie.

Daisymoo, I did have to use the temp corrector yesterday due to needing sleep from nightshift the night before last. But, I had a temp drop and it went back up again this morning :) I didn't answer all your questions from last time. Yes, my temp going up is a good thing. Hopefully my temp did dip yesterday which is a potentially positive sign. Hopefully my temp stays up now.

As I mentioned to Daisymoo, so far my temps are staying above the coverline. I had a temp dip yesterday. I'm hoping it was an actual temp dip as I had to use the corrector. Temp went back up this morning, 7dpo. This is day 4 of sticky and eggwhite cm. Supps or not, I'm usually dry at this point.

Lavie yay for AF!! So funny that we have all been celebrating its arrival lol!!

I am having a great time and am very relaxed just wish I could fully let go and not think about getting PG/ dieting all the time. OPKs are getting darker and I can feel activity going on in that area so that's something. My body is getting loads of vitamin D and I'm not exercising and eating more than I have been. Every now and again I worry about it which is stupid, I'm on holiday! Anyway I have a massage booked tomorrow morning so it all helps I guess. Very confident I will definitely ovulate this week.

Just dug this out from last sway:

Just made some yummy chocolate chip muffins that work out to be 115 cals, 3.75g protein and 1.95g fat per muffin. Really good if you're craving a cake I think! So recipe:
1 cup/240ml soy yoghurt (or a low fat yog)
2 medium eggs
0.75cups/175g sugar
2cups shredded courgette
2.5cups/300g flour (I used half wholegrain spelt, half buckwheat due to food intolerances)
0.5cups/130ml soy milk (or any low fat milk)
30g/4tbsp cocoa
30g dark choc chips
1tsp vanilla
1tsp baking powder
1tsp baking soda
0.5tsp salt
0.5tsp cinnamon

Preheat oven to 350F or 175C and line muffin tins. Beat first three ingredients well together and then add everything else. Cook for about 20 mins and try and wait a little until they've cooled before eating them! Enjoy!

I hope you are hanging in there too because I know us women tend to worry more than they do. I hope all is well with you and you are able to get your attempts in. Aw kitkat it can be so hard month after month can't it? You've been on the diet so long at this stage that I reckon if you take a little break for a while that it will definitely still stand to you when you resume ttc. How could you not possibly get a little pink bundle after all that hard work!! You could always relax the diet for a while but still remain vegetarian, which will still sway pink. Plus taking a month or two out from hardcore swaying might help you to be more relaxed which definitely sways pink too. Best of luck with whatever you choose to do. And hope your dh is doing ok. :)

Kitkat a bit of relaxation might do you and your DH the world of good. You have to put yourselves first, after all you could do everything for a long time and still hear boy. I totally agree with what daisymoo says (actually I often find myself totally agreeing with daisymoo!) I really do hope your DH has a swift recovery and you make a decision you guys are happy with. You could always have a blowout cheat weekend then go veggie until trying again?

I have now started to worry about the holiday eating which is really dumb. Well it's more the lack of exercise that worries me, for the first time ever I look amazing in a bikini and now I'm not exercising and eating loads!!!! Been trying to stick to pure carb for breakfast (had lots of delicious bread and Nutella this morning!) so hoping that helps but I haven't felt hungry much so god knows how high my blood sugar must be!!! I need a proverbial slap lol. Not as relaxed as usual because DS is being an absolute nightmare - had a Thai massage yesterday tho which was amazing. Still no pos OPK but they are getting darker.

Hope that opk goes positive for you soon. I gave up testing on cd21. Had been testing for 12 days and have no more tests left and never got a positive. Will start again next cycle. Yogi what a bummer you are out, I heard that May is an awesome month to get pregnant though!!

AFM--I took a cheapie test and it was negative but I also took an frer and I am pretty sure I see a line. It is very faint though. I am on day three of a headache and I feel sick so I wouldn't be surprised if it is a BFP! I am cautiously super excited. Rosie♡,

I hope this is your month. If it's a frer I would say give it a day or so. The tests I did this month were accu clear from target and they were horrible. The box had two and both gave me false positives. I think you are OK as long as it's not that brand. Good luck and I hope your BFP is only a few hours away :))♡

Oh yes on the topic of no positive I'm really surprised to report still no positive for me! Today is CD24. Yesterday's line was dark but not dark enough although I had drank wine with lunch before the test while DS was sleeping (naughty mummy). DH thought the line was lighter than the previous day which made me panic. So even though we attempted on Sunday we decided to attempt last night just in case. DS had just been put down in the cot in the bedroom and we had been drinking Perrier jouet, still had a glass left and were getting ready for dinner in the bathroom talking about the OPK and he said maybe we should BD now, I said ok how fast can you finish because I won't in a bathroom! So TMI alert I was bent over the bathroom sink and true to his word he was quick!! He had been scuba diving during the day and had a hot bath so if that doesn't sway pink what will lol. Then having a drink in the bar after he said it was mutually beneficial, I asked how and he said well you got the sperm! Er it's not just me wanting a baby!! Although DS is really testing my patience at the mo!!

I had waffles with Nutella this morning yum!! I've been thinking about the holiday eating and to be honest if it's taking this long to ovulate maybe this is what I needed to actually ovulate if that makes sense, no matter whether it sways pink or blue, if I don't O I can't get PG!

When TTC DS3 my cycles really lengthened. We actually missed a cycle because I assumed that I must have missed the positive OPK so tried about a week before I O'd and didn't when I actually O'd (does that make sense?). The cycle was like 36 days I think and the one DS3 came from would have been 44 I think!

May 8th, 2014, 03:35 PM
oh steph, all of this waiting. It has to come up soon!! My fingers are always crossed for you.

I tested again today and the line is darker, sadly I wasted a digital and got a negative so my test with the line was this afternoon with my 4th urine of the day but the line is still there! It's darker than yesterdays. I can't believe I got preggo on the first cycle...I am very happy to move on from the diet.

Good luck to everyone here, I will keep checking in!!

Tested this morning with FMU got a bfn :( Maybe I'll get my second line tomorrow. That temp dip I had was on day 9. Maybe I tested one day too early.

So excited for you Rosie! Big congrats!

Hope you get your positive OPK soon Steph!

stephk - I thought we wouldnt see you around for a week, but here you are, true to your swaying team even when on holidays!

Hope you get that opk+ soon! Have you got any other signs of O turning up? Enjoy the sun and food – i don't know how uk is now but sweden is only rain rain rain and about 7 degrees. So jealous of you right now!

Boysway, fx for you!

I am trying to not lose hope for this cycle, but the spottings that I've had for 3 days aren't really promising. Yesterday (9dpo) I tested twice and got a suuuuper faint shadowlike line-ish "something" on both. It wasn't there two days ago but still it can't really be considered a line. DH saw it on one, but not on the other. I do not consider it as a positive at all but it did raise some hope. That kind of died when spottings were still left this morning.

Marika I don't want to miss out on all the BFP news - sounds promising for you! I have had O pain for over a week now but it's less than before. Not long until today's test but I've had water and tea because it's too hot here to drink nothing.

Oh steph, I am happy to see you here though! With all this o pain and these lines on your opk being sttrong must result in one reaaally good egg! You have been waiting so long now!

About my cycle; I wish I could feel more optimistic and I probably would if I didn't have all these spottings :-/

Well girls I got my bfp yesterday but didn't want to say anything I was sure. Two tests yesterday and this morning were there but faint enough. Just tested with a frer and it's very positive!! I'm in total shock. I honestly cannot believe my eyes! Never got a +opk in the whole month ttc so we just dtd on cd11, 16,17. (I know two days together sways blue but couldn't resist since my opk was always negative!) Have no idea when I ovulated but had a feeling over the last few days that I was pregnant. Lets hope it sticks. Had a little bit of brown spotting but hope it's nothing and that it passes.
So Steph please don't give up hope I got my bfp with negative opks so you just might too! I have a feeling you'll get pregnant on your hols!!!
I'll try and post a pic of stick but I'm not very tech savvy!
Can't wait to tell my dh when he comes home! :)

It's surreal isn't it! Well the first day of my last period was 14 April so google works it out that I'm due on 19 Jan! Still in shock. I was even sick this cycle and was in bed vomiting for 24 hours so don't know how I'm pregnant So happy! I think eating a few prawn and chicken takeouts this month definitely did the trick for me and brought my cycle back to some normality. Dh will be thrilled And ye all know before him If he only knew ha!!! ;)

I am back to eating whenever and whatever I want...I was before my BFP, oops!!! I feel okay in the morning other than my dizziness, it is at night I feel awful. My boobs tingle and hurt a tiny bit and I am dizzy like I said and I have been getting headaches and some cramping/twinges. How about you?!

Thanks Marika I have my fingers and toes crossed for you too! x

Good luck Stephk!

I'm on CD6 and tend to ovulate around CD17 but as this is first cycle since my surgery, I don't know if its back to normal yet. I will use OPks from CD9 and we r going to bd every 4 days too just in case...I'm buckling up a bit on the diet as have been loosely doing it for the last month.
Wishing us all some baby dust for this month! FX xx

Daisymoo!!! Huge congrats!! It's wonderful to see so many BFPs! You have had a wonderful relaxed attitude you will definitely get your girl.

Boysway you are not out until the witch shows - fingers crossed

Lavie hope your cycle has come back and you get a sticky one.

We did BD last night which technically breaks the rules but today and tomorrow are likely out and I want to ensure we are in with a shot- pink or blue I'm past caring. In fact the eating has been out of this world so my body will be having a field day! I ordered more OPKs yesterday and the seller posted yesterday so with any luck they will be waiting for me and I can take one tomorrow.

Boysway what a bummer Well I really hope the next cycle us yours. So strange that your temps were going up during that cycle. Well maybe your son has decided he wants to come along a month later instead! They do say boys always take their time!
Thanks Steph Just goes to show those opks can be strange. This month I decided to use digitals to take away the guess work and from cd17 on was testing twice a day It's so bizarre Don't have a clue when I conceived! What cd are you on? I think you were so right to dtd again If you wait at all you might miss that surge.

Oh no Boysway :( sorry to hear that - hopefully next month will be it and your DH will be up for a few attempts. Hope he is feeling better now.

That is weird Daisymoo, I think false negatives are quite common but I didn't want to get my hopes up after the last cycle of hell. It's CD27 today. My OPKs arrived yesterday so I will take one later and we will see what happens. The dating ultrasound will be an eye opener for you :)

Just had cake for breakfast been though I'm back home!! At least it was after a 15 hour fast, ease back into it lol!!

Thanks ladies. Daisymoo, I hope you're right on my boy taking his time :) I'm thinking AF will turn up in the morning.

Steph, I hope you get your +OPK very soon.

I veered off my diet a bit today. I had two cokes. I'm feeling exhausted lately due to poor quality sleep. They didn't wake me up for long though.

Funnily enough when I emailed atomic a while ago worried about having breakfast on holiday she said as long as it wasn't a full english type breakfast it would be OK. I am not into full english at all so I focused on carb type breakfasts - croissants, breads, waffles, nutella, cake - it was great! Just took an opk and it was a super faint negative line - so I think i should work on the assumption that yesterday would have been the positive given how dark the lines were getting towards the end of the week - what do you ladies think? I will take another one tomorrow to be sure. Must try not to worry now about all the eating. If I had a positive yesterday then according to the test, you ovulate 24-48 hours following the positive so I must try to have a strict day today now. Hopefully the travel back hasnt delayed it. Have had to fight off DH who wanted to BD, Im too tired plus Im sure fridays BD was perfectly timed?

boysway, is coke not allowed on your diet? is it because you are trying not to have empty calories (sorry if thats a dumb question).

Yeah, I got one faint line yesterday (that obviously was visble, I posted it in 2ww thread and it didn't seem to imaginary) and the one on the clearblue today (it showed up after 15-20 minutes though, so it's not to to be counted if following the instructions).
