Sorry to hear Marika :(
I am seeing my bfn as a way to make sure I get a good attempt in next time. I hadn't taken my vitamins for two days, I hadn't been drinking enough juice and I didn't use Preseed. I also rarely exercised. Not to mention the poor timing. I think I am more down about having to try and get timing right again. Not to mention being over this diet and the vitamins.
Ah well. Fingers crossed next month is our month. If we get a bfp next month, I will due around my eldest daughters 14th birthday.

I just got a BFN too Boysway! Feeling pretty bummed about it as I wanted to catch the first egg after our loss but at the same time I do know we missed our chance as DH couldn't DTD the day of pos opk. A BFN is still disappointing though, even when you're expecting it. 😞
I'm so over the pink diet too, and the exercise and I've run out of the supplements and opk's!! Don't even know what we will do now. I'm so close to just giving up and being content with the kids we do have, and I know DH is over it too and not having another child wouldn't bother him, he took a lot of convincing to try as it was.

Mumofsix, sorry about your bfn as well. It really sucks doesn't it :( Definitely over it. However I will persist. Actually, my cousin just had her third boy. I don't think she will try for another one. It took a while for her to come around after her last c/s and this time she hemorrhaged pretty bad. She joked that she was following my trend of having all of one gender and that we should swap, lol.

Boysway and mumofsix I am really sorry to hear about the BFNs :( hope next month is yours. Sticking to the diets is pretty hard isnt it. Especially if you are constantly craving things that arent ideal and receiving less than helpful commentary from DH!! I am sure I will be joining you next month if my track record is anything to go by.

I made my husband a quick sandwich (PB&J) between semi loads of hauling in grain. And PEEUU! The peanut butter smells like dirt. I had him smell the jar before I fed it to him and he said it smells fine. He turned with a grin and said "Maybe you really are pregnant?" I hope so! This 2WW is tough! I printed my HPT coupon today so I can pick a box of them up. I am tempted to try one early.

Grrrrr.....AF is 4 days late! It's driving me crazy. As much as I hate having AF, everyday it's late is another day that is pushing our next attempt further and further away!!
I had a huge argument with DH this morning so hopefully my foul mood is a sign that it's on it's way but I wish it would hurry up! If we don't get pg next attempt then were stopping TTC as we don't want another baby's birthday around the March-May months as we already have so many then as it is but we also don't want another baby after May as it's my birthday and we've always said we'd be "done" by the time I'm 35. The TTC universe seems to be totally against us having another baby!!! 😠

What does this mean? Why would I have 2 lines (although not positive) when AF is 4-5days late??? http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/05/16/ypuvuhu2.jpg

Took another one this morning and it's much lighter than last night so who knows what's going on??!? Mumofsix, are you going to do another OPK tonight to check. I am wondering if you got the LH surge without the ovulation afterwards.
Afm, we had a wonderful time at my cousins wedding yesterday. It was nice to forget about things. Although, we did get some reminding. I drank lots of white wine, lol. Got a touch tipsy. My cousin, the one that was married yesterday announced she is pregnant, 7 weeks along :) I also got to hold and bottle feed my other cousins bub, Declan. He is 8 days old and absolutely adorable. I told them I was going to pinch him. Then I found out later that my Dad and my cousin were discussing how I need to have a baby boy. I was telling dh about it on the way home. I'm so glad we haven't told them we are trying for a baby let alone a boy. I really don't think people realise the pressures put on other people just by their words. I have to admit, I have been guilty of it in the past. Even when they think they know all the background, they can never fully know. It's sucks this ttc thing has been so difficult. Trying to achieve your DG, all that you go through. I have already gone through so many emotions and we have only had one month of trying! It took 6 months of trying with our last bub. I think that was more poor timing then anything.
I don't know how long I can keep up these supps. My memory has been terrible lately. I am also running out of vitamins. I will run out before I get paid again. Even when I get paid I am unsure if I can afford them. I have now been on the supps for 5 months. Dh hasn't had his supps for quite a while now as well. I gave up on getting him to take them :(
It's all for the greater good though. I must keep telling myself what we/I am working towards.

May 17th, 2014, 06:18 AM
Glad you had a good time at the wedding Boysway. It's so true about people's comments. Of course they don't mean to have an effect but they do. This whole TTC thing is bad enough without the swaying.
I am rather gutted to report that i started spotting this morning and now have AF cramps. So as if it wasn't enough being unsuccessful now it looks like I have a short LP to deal with. Even though I'm eating at the upper limits of the diet and more, I didn't cut back too far, it's absolutely gutting.
SamS_TTCPink
May 17th, 2014, 06:29 AM
I know how you feel boysway. People don't understand how their words get to us when we are dealing with gender desire, and it is expensive this TTC process!! I've ran out of supps too and can't really afford to keep buying them, plus the cost of opk's and HPTs...it all adds up and it's hard when it takes months and months for that BFP.
No, I won't do anymore opk tests. I'll just wait and see if AF arrives after this mornings very negative test. And I think we will try once again when my cycle finally returns but then I don't know what to do. We might put it off til later in the year or just forget trying and try to accept that we aren't going to get our daughter and just enjoy and focus on our boys.

I am so sorry to hear that steph :( What was your LP?
stephk
May 17th, 2014, 07:42 AM
I am guessing somewhere between 6 and 9 days but I can't be sure. Maybe I should bite the bullet and start temping and see if it does wake DH then at least I will know. Just had loads of Nutella on 2 slices of toast then a pack of pretzels dipped in Nutella and then had some chocolate!!!
I might consider loosening the diet - I'll still try to skip breakfast and I'll try to be veggie 4 days a week or so but maybe just not limit anything. I can keep the exercise no problem, I just have nothing else to drop really. I'll contact atomic and see what she thinks.
Boysway
May 18th, 2014, 07:05 AM
how did you go steph? Did you ask atomic?
stephk
May 18th, 2014, 07:16 AM
Yes she said I should make an effort to eat 4 eggs a week and more full fat dairy. I shouldn't loosen the diet because she thinks I'm doing the diet perfectly and this is remnants of coming off BCP rather than diet. So I have just eaten an omelette with 2 eggs and some mushrooms cooked in frylight which is basically a one cal olive oil spray. We have friends coming round for a BBQ this afternoon so I will be well over on fat for the day but I'll be vegetarian and had the eggs so it's all good. I'll be eating halloumi today so there's more full fat dairy :)
I'm feeling a bit better today. Yesterday's aerobics couldn't cheer me up but I've been to the gym this morning and will follow atomics advice. At least when I next O the holiday will no longer matter and I can stick to one attempt.

May 18th, 2014, 07:36 AM
Well steph that's good then :) I'm glad you're feeling a little better as well. Bring on BFP June! Actually, I have been slack with my egg eating. Actually slack all round. I must get back on the wagon!
Afm, I didn't mention it before but, it's been playing on my mind a little. I was telling Mum how I was cuddling little Declan and she said to me, you aren't going to have anymore kids are you? She didn't even say it in a light hearted way :( I was already tempted to delay telling her once I eventually get a bfp but, felt it might be a bit mean since I will likely tell Dad and DSM first because I know they will be excited. Now, that Mum has asked yet again and as I said not in such a nice way, I am feeling pretty confident I will wait as long as possible to tell Mum and DSD. I hope she doesn't figure out the reason why we have asked if they can have the kids once a month  Alright, 9:35 pm here. I am off to bed. I had a support shift from 4-8pm and off to a day shift tomorrow.

Gosh yes you have to eat eggs every day or something don't you!! I don't envy that. Sorry to hear about your mum that is a very bad comment to make. I really don't know why people feel the need to make such remarks, especially to family!! You do right not to tell her straight away if she is going to be like that. Hey ladies joining in again. Not sure how I want to do my sway. I don't know if there is any point in dieting or exercising if I am trying to catch my first egg after the loss. Can I even use opks?? I figure the hormones might make them give me false positives or something. We were talking about baby dancing every 4 or 5 days. Or just going off my instinct.

May 19th, 2014, 04:02 PM
Rosie if it were me I would go back to it but give yourself an easier time. Have some treats or have one cheat day per week. Obviously your wellbeing comes first but you'd still be swaying at the same time.

Thanks ladies. It's been difficult because I know it's from swaying and I feel incredibly guilty. I have decided to drop most of it. I am doing a loose diet plan...like skipping breakfast and no snacking but I'm going to eat meat...just not a ton. No more licorice root and no using the second batch of sperm. I am undecided about the exercise still.

May 19th, 2014, 05:25 PM
Rosie I think I'd lean towards the more egg and sperm boosting diet and supplements-- 4 whole eggs a week, 1 serving of salmon, a little full fat dairy, baby aspirin and increased dosage of folic acid for you, and olive leaf for DH. I'd probably skip the aspartame, licorice root, vitex/saw palmento/peppermint tea, and frequent release/second batch. I would continue skipping breakfast and still do one attempt.

Just checking in, as we're getting ready to try again after no success last cycle. O is supposed to be Monday and I think we're going to have to wait til that day, as we're at my in-laws all weekend and the thought of trying there doesn't appeal to me at all ;)

I don't know if it is just me but, a week out from our next attempt I am feeling rather blase' with everything. I am doing the right things diet wise, in fact atm better then I did last month. Although, I have run out of Folic acid, Co Q10 and Probiotics. I will have to find some money at least for the Folic acid. I'm just not feeling like I did last time.
The excitement is gone and I'm not feeling as anxious. Best way to describe how I feel is flat. I actually had to check my calendar for what cycle day I am on. I did an OPK today although, I probably won't need to till the 26th. I am sure the obsessive side of me will come back out soon and the anxiety will kick in again.
Anyone feeling the same?
I'm having car issues again and working a fair bit. Maybe that is part of the problem.

I'm feeling the same! Flat!! My diet hasn't been perfect and my exercise is non existent and I'm not stressed but not excited either. you guys are not alone, I am so fed up of this TTC business. My DH had a massive go at me when he got home last night about my diet and the amount of time I spend in the gym. He was just letting off steam after a stressful day but he doesnt realise how much his blaming me for not being PG upsets me. He makes horrible throwaway comments and then forgets but then I spend ages afterwards thinking about the conversation and defending myself in my head, I hate him for it because he knows I am trying to avoid confrontation!! :(

I am feeling blah about ttc as well. My Dh had it out with me a little last night too. I keep going on to him about how the baby was a girl and that was my only chance and it's gone. He told me to get my butt to the gym and work for it. So I did. I have to stop thinking negatively but it's hard. I'm honestly terrified of having another miscarriage.

May 23rd, 2014, 01:07 PM
Rosie I am sure the reasons for the mc were nothing to do with exercise or swaying. It was probably something out of your control. I know it doesn't make things any easier for you but I really don't think at that early stage there's anything you can do. You don't even share a blood supply for the first 6 weeks. Sorry to hear your DH isn't as sympathetic as he should be x
Rosie85
May 23rd, 2014, 01:20 PM
I hope so steph! I just read on here about the increased rates of miscarriage due to swaying and it made me uneasy and unsure if I even wanted to sway anymore.
My Dh has been super sympathetic buy he doesn't like when I get in my Debbie downer mode and he was trying to shake me out of it. Sometimes I just need to be a Debbie downer though...it's my way of grieving I guess.

I confronted DH tonight because last nights comments were still p1ssing me off and it took him ages to acknowledge that he knows sod all about food, nutrition, women's hormones etc so why he has to opine on these bloody things!!! I don't tell him how to play cricket or how to be an engineer!!! I really feel he has ruined everything by making me stew mentally on this and then make stupid comments. Sorry to hear about the arguments with husbands! Steph, happy you got a chance to speak out. Even if you try to not confront him I think that the anger held inside can be as stressing as confronting, especially if you are defending yourself in your head. And the men should just learn that while swaying we are NOT to be provoked. (And if they have anything provocative to say, it has to be served with a glass of wine to calm us down and keep the testosterone low ...)

May 24th, 2014, 09:27 AM
I am sorry to hear about the arguments going on. I can't believe how stressful planning a baby is. My two boys were surprises. I feel like I have put my heart and soul into swaying for a little girl and I really thought this was our month. But I guess God has other plans. This is my first cycle I have ever been monitored with blood tests and checking all my levels. 5 days ago I got a faint positive. I went in for a blood test and it was negative. I went in for another yesterday, another negative. They told me my progesterone level is very low. They told me it probably did implant but didn't have enough progesterone to stick. Ugh! Sometimes I wonder if being clueless and letting things happen is the way to go sometimes. I feel terrible. I am sorry for the down post. I just needed to get this out.
I hope you all have a wonderful Memorial Day Weekend! It is suppose to be in the 70's here. It should be beautiful.

Thanks ladies :)
Thankfully my pay was a little better then I expected so I now have all I need for my sway. I have also just started another vitamin.
I know it will be after ovulation but, I have also booked in to see a lady about fertility acupuncture (although, I haven't told dh). I must have thought ahead when we took out our health fund as I had acupuncture added on our health fund. Funny thing. I was talking to the lady at the chemist and we got to talking about the diet I am on and I mentioned I was thinking of trying acupuncture. She wrote down the name of a lady and the practice she works for :) Works out well, the place she works at is the street over from my chiropractor.

boysway if you can do it, its a great idea. Given all the things you are doing to sway blue it can sway even more blue for you (appreciate it will be after O, and I do hope this is your lucky month, but if not it will have a blue effect for next time). I have my next fertility acupuncture booked for 4th June, I am hoping to have already ovulated by then and it will help lengthen my LP. I havent had a session since before the holiday as I dont want it to go too far blue for me :)

Argh!!! Crap! I don't think I will ovulate tomorrow! I have been using OPK's and the fade in pattern just isn't there :( A faint second line is there but, it should be getting darker :( Dh and I will be alone tomorrow night. Come on body! Let us catch the egg tomorrow!

Fairly similar last time. I think the OPK was a little darker at this point last time though. FF is now putting predicted ovulation as two days away instead of tomorrow :( I'll be going out that night and the kids will be home with dh. Let's just hope I get that magical +OPK tomorrow night.

Took another SurePredict test and a FRER tonight at 10:30pm with super concentrated dark urine. Both were BFN and stark white. No shadows or anything! So maybe all 3 of my SurePredicts yesterday with faint lines were evaps or false positives? I'm either 9 or 10dpo. I should have waited like I said I was going to!

I have an opk question too... So 2 nights ago (48hrs ago) I got an almost positive after a fade in pattern. Then yesterday morning and again last night I got a very positive. But now I just got another very dark positive?? We had our attempt last night so should we just leave it at that or should I be concerned it was too early as I'm still getting positives??
Here's the pics... Last night is the top one and tonight's is the bottom one. (Take into account the top has dried)

I'm not an expert either but looking at the pic upside down which is the way I would read the test and control line the second one does look like a positive so your attempt is enough. No harm in keep testing as Steph says.

I had that happen mumof6, ended up Bding again, that was my positive last cycle :) It happens to me every once in awhile..I always assume it means that I geared up, didn't, and then did..but obviously without ultrasound we'd never know. I'm a slow riser too, so I can't even confirm with temps lol takes about 3 days and for me the OPKs are usually only a few days apart, it'll get dark, start to fade, then randomly get super dark.

Atomic says to go with the first +opk. You can get positives for days after. I had 3 days of positives this cycle.

Mumofsix -- same kind of position here. My pos OPK came 6 days sooner than expected. So yes, I BD. BUT it has been positive everyday since. So if it is still positive today/tomorrow, I'm going to hedge my bets and BD again on Saturday a.m. just to be on the safe side. I agree, keep testing and see if it remains positive or if it fades away....I think that will give you a better idea.
Yes, if your pos opk came after BD by less than 24 hours, I'd count that as THE attempt (and would BD again 4 days later, just to be sure :P)
Best of luck! Fingers, eyes and toes crossed for the both of us!!!

Yogi&booboo, They aren't as dark as I would like. It looks more like ovulation will be either tomorrow or the following day :( If I don't my bfp this month. I will have to purchase the Wondfo OPK's you use. Your +OPK is much better then any I have had. Don't quote me but I'm fairly sure it's good to get 2-5 attempts is. Maybe check with atomic to be sure.

Boysway,.
Thanks for the advice☺ Hang in there it took me this long after testing for many days to finally have a strong positive. I have tried the pregnancy tests.com opks and they never got as dark as these. The wondfos are also a bit cheaper in price too. I know the feeling that we expect to get our positive on a certain date but when ttc our body tends to be stubborn. Next thing you know you will have forgotten you were worried about the opks. Give it a few more days and I know you will get house positive opk. 😘💞

yogi - yes 4 attempts is great for blue, when DS was conceived we BD thursday night, saturday morning, sunday afternoon and monday night. the positive OPK was on monday so that was 3-4 attempts in the fertile window. As I said on the other thread I am so glad I dont have to do 3-4 attempts for pink, Im exhausted just thinking about it lol
I have been testing with OPKs for the past 3 days and just had negative lines, I havent had a single positive this time TTC. My first positive opk on the cheapy opks was wednesday afternoon so we bd"d that night and the following morning and we are going to try and get one bd tonight and tomorrow. I have noticed that I ovulate on my second peak day though and in the past 4 months I think i have been missing my egg. I agree with the multiple attempts because it truly is exhausting. Rosie, to tell you what I would do. If I got a positive the day after BD I would take that as my attempt but if it was 2 days before, like my situation today I am going to BD again because I am personally not confident in a 3/4 day cutoff. 1/2 days yes, but more and I'm nervous. I know that's not the current advice but it's been too long for me. So you have to think of what you are personally comfortable with. Sounds like you are pretty fertile to ovulate already.

Hi Rosie If it's positive tonight I would not attempt again. Last night will cover it. Do you always ovulate 2 days after positive opk for sure? You know you could ovulate 8 hours to 48 hours after positive opk, but if it's definitely 2 days after your positive opk I would do another attempt after your true positive opk as the cut off could be too long.

Boysway - oh no. Poor you and poor dh. How stressful for both of you. Not that it helps you in any way right now, but your dh is not alone. I have seen many ppl writing about not being able to perform or finish when it's time for the real deal. Sorry to hear what you're going through boysway. Hopefully it's just the stress of TTC and nothing else, but it's good that he has said he will go to the drs. I know my DH wouldn't go.
We have had some similar issues. Last month DH couldn't complete the attempt and this month, we had one attempt on Wednesday which was ok, but last night he could "complete the deed" but just not near me?!?! Twice!!
I'm devastated as I think our Wednesday attempt was too early and I just don't feel positive about this month at all, and it was last month to TTC. 😞

Okay, so assuming I ovulated on CD 21, AF should arrive around the 13-16 of June. Ovulation will probably be sometime in July. Mind you, my cycles appear to be all over the place. Thank goodness I am able to buy cheap OPK's. Last cycle O was on CD 19 as was the one before. Goodness only knows what is going on. I hope I don't ovulated when I suspect I will (if it's CD 21 again). That will mean ovulation is back to through the week.
Anyway, I am rambling. I just purchased some tablets that should help with the issue we had over the weekend as well as helping dh's sperm health. From what I have read, it should take two weeks to work. So, I'm unsure if we will even attempt this month. I think I will need to have a chat to atomic. The tablets I ordered are from the states. I am pretty sure they will get through customs. They will likely take 10-12 days to arrive. Which means they probably won't be working when I am due to ovulate. Argh, the 'wonderful' technicalities of TTC.
Any thoughts are welcome.

Boysway,
I also had to make the dh take a natural male enhancement to help with completing the task. My dh unfortunately has diabetes and if his sugar levels are too high, he will definitely experience erection problems and will not be able to complete his task. The ones we bought were all natural capsules and we always buy them in sex shops or liquor stores. What kind of pills did you buy if you don't mind me asking?
The past two months my dh missed my egg because of his performance issie and I totally understand what you are going through! The ones we took are called Blue Rhino I believe and let me tell you that they work 😂💞

He is so afraid it's going to happen again :( I am glad that he will take the tablets though. Goodness I am changing a fair bit, dietwise, vitamins and I had my first fertility acupuncture yesterday. Just to try and boost our chances.

did you enjoy the acupuncture boysway? I had mine today and it was good. We agreed that I would go back once a month just before ovulation as I cant be paying for loads of sessions plus I dont want it to be too blue for me :)

I didn't mind it actually. I wasn't expecting her to get stuck into it straight away though. Only one needle pinched a little but it didn't last long. I felt a little sick afterwards but, that may have been because I was hungry, lol.
