FF gave me dotted crosshairs at cd11 but not sure I believe it. Negative opk from cd10 to yesterday, no ewcm and not usual temp rise I normally see... in any case its onwards and upwards from here :) ***edited to say did not ttc this cycle just trying to track o **** will be using the smiley face opks for first attempt hopefully they are alot more sensitive :)
Xx for hubby I'm still subscribed to your due date thread as I cant wait to find out what your having!!! Especially after emj's exciting post!

Hi guys,
Hope this is ok for me to join. Covered in blue sent me here but Im in the start of the TTC phase. And would love to hear your plan to TTC a girl?
I'm 29 and hubby 37. We had a 2 months break after trying for 4months. Also doing the girls diet and taking supplements.
After reading a lot of information, I don't know which way to go for my plan to TTC a girl this month. But I was going to get my DH to abstain until d10 and bd until d14 (1st +OPK, 2 days cut off). But I hear different methods?
I'm excited but a bit scared at the same time...Would love to hear your plan for a girl?

Hi T and big welcome :)
Girl swayers are getting the best results from 12 weeks on LE diet & 1 attempt in the fertile window. The two ways of getting one attempt is to either BD with your DH every 4 days all through your cycle until confirmed O - or to do 1 attempt at +opk.
It is the one attempt that sways and not abstain. Abstain can lower sperm numbers which will lower chances of conception. If you choose to do 1 attempt at +opk you can have protected BD with DH every 2-4 days or have DH release himself to keep numbers optimal.
The benefits of DTD every 4 days method is that no matter when you O you will almost certainly have had 1 attempt in your fertile window and it takes away the stress of missing +opk, working out which opk is darker/truly positive etc.
Good Luck with your sway and lots of pink dust to you.

Thank you guys.
I will try that. BD on +OPK and release every 2-4 days before that.
What are you planning to do this month?
Just on d1...I have to wait d16 and patience isn't my thing

Hey T!
Welcome! And thanks Magical for starting the thread!
I'm cd 10 today! This is also one of our attempt days (every 4 days).
I am on Clomid for swaying (and to help jump start my cycles) but he schedule was pretty screwed up that I was a little nervous of continuing this month with our attempts, but I'm jumping in with both feet.
10weeks on the diet, enough to lose a big chunk of weight, and I feel very ok with the diet. It feels normal. Cardio I have been doing for 60 mins but not every day; more like every other. I did buy Adam soy milk to make him some soy smoothies but might be too late to make a difference with his testosterone.

Hello everyone. I am cycle day 3 today. Will start Femara tonight (7.5mg) and then Ovidrel shot.
I have a question for you guys- I spoke to my nurse this morning when went for blood work and ultrasound ( on ovulution induction monitoring). I asked if we can do IUI this month and she said she does not think doctor would think IUI benefit us as DH's sperm count is 76million and it is in good range ( missed asking if they done deep analysis).
I am meeting my fertlity doctor July 3rd to review my treatment plan but by then I will be four cycles over ( fingers cross for BFP). Nurse said from her experience doctor will be looking into pin pointing ovulution. They increased by dose from 5mg to 7.5g for Femara and if this month did not work then probably move to injectibles.
I am not clear what is going on with ovulution then? Ultrasound showed last month i had follicle at 22 mm and Uterine lining was 9.1mm. And took Ovidrel shot, felt the crazy O pains done three attempts.
I am confused if I never released egg?

Did femera and trigger this cycle so I will try to remain hopeful but to be honest I as soooo scared that it will turn out like every other month has been. This is our last month officially TTC and probably swaying as well. It has been too draining, mentally and physically. We will still unofficially try but no temping or opks. Good luck to everyone!!

Is anyone here good with FF charts? I've had another month of negative opks, and while I planned on buying the digital ones for June ttc attempt now I'm wondering if somethings going on. I've had only one true positive opk last cycle the same day I apparently o'ed. I've posted multiple comments regarding my opks etc so sorry ladies if I'm getting annoying, I'm just abit irritated that after charting for three months in preparation for June I have no real insight into my cycle. who's to say the digital ones won't yield the same result. I don't know how to do the FF chart link thing but could post screenshots? Happy to start another thread so its not in here, but wanted to check if anyone here that might see something I'm not. TIA

Thanks djmommy. The solid circles were temps taken between 4 - 4.30am and clear circles between 5.30 - 6.30am. All taken after at least 3-4 hours of unbroken sleep. Couldn't do better than that with ds2 sleeping problems. Had two months where I had a little bit of ewcm in the evening, none at all last this cycle just some watery one evening and creamy a couple days later http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/30/1b4f42a1da4a08f4a5b5e7ce4b999069.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/30/7334eae7b2c9ad32ce8e4af3050fe636.jpghttp://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/05/30/c32347bc87e50bdaae30b75023c15f75.jpg

Pbn3 i use clearblue dual. They arent cheap but i found chemist warehouse was the cheapest. It tells you 2 days of your high surge and the 3rd day is your first positive opk. It took me a while to understand my cycles. I have been charting for about 1 year after i had my implanon out and my cycle was all over the place but generally there are 3 dips down in temp and your 3rd is O. My last 3 cycles has been regular +/- 3days. I have attached my last cycle. Hope this help xx

Thank you tiffsal! I'll be shopping for opks this week and we have a chemist warehouse so I'll see if they stock them. Did you try any others? Seen mention of the smiley face ones several times also. With the ones you use did you always get the three high readings in a row so you knew third was positive opk?
TiffSal
May 30th, 2015, 06:31 PM
I always had a positive opk with the clearblues.
I never tried other brands other than the cheap ebay ones (never had an accurate result)
The new clearblue dual tells you 2 days high surge and the 3r day should be your positive and that smiley stays one for 2 days. I didnt read it properly and thought it was faulty...but used it 1 and had an accurate positive that match ff.
The previous non dual clearblue used to be more affordable but the dual is more expensive....

But remember even if you are doing everything right releasing an egg having sex at the right time your chances of getting pregnant are still only 20% each month. The average person takes 6-8 months to get pregnant. I fell with my son being monitored so releasing an egg etc on month 4. I'm being monitored again this time around and this is month 3 trying. Just saying it's still early days don't stress [emoji5]️.

Your March chart to me looks like there is a pretty clear temp shift. What opks are you using? I think for the money wondfos are the best! And I think the girl diet can reduce ewcm a lot. Some women don't ever get a positive opk but get a dark line which would indicate a positive for them. Maybe try the bd every 4 days. Are you swaying pink?
I used the clearblue smileys for a few cycles and they gave me positives before my cheapie wondfos did.

If you do see wondfo on Amazon or online - keep an eye out for those sold from Formosa. Maiden assures me they are not fakes (I guess some mfgs decide to make tests that are fake? Terrible). Also Babi brand is good too . That's the brand I used before and I did get full true positives when I would expect to).

Thanks hitme I'll check out Amazon. Just bummed to be so close yet so clueless despite all the preparation! Told dh I might make an appointment with my gp to see if there's a blood test or something that would show if I've ovulated this cycle. Had a check up and bloods done about 4 weeks ago to make sure everything else looked ok (general health wise). Maybe she'll suggest clomid hahaha I wish lol :)

Thanks magical I'm about 500kms north of brissy. I've been seeing my gp for 6+ years way before I even had ds1. She's great and I've got a really good rapport with her. I started tracking cycles July last year but only started temping since march. At least I can honestly say my cycles have been all over the show 24-29 days with alot of spotting during many of those months. I'm going to say I'm concerned about lt phase being to short and the fact I cant seem to get a positive opk. Hoping she'll run with it from there. She knows dh and my age to and if I mention he's giving it 6 months because of this she may be even more inclined to help work something out (clomid hopefully heehee). It's just that it took 6 cycles or so to conceive ds2 and that was with very regular cycle, positive opks, cm, temp spikes etc and I really wanted to be super organised this time in the hopes of conceiving sooner :)

Hi ladies I'm at CD19 and waiting to O. It's been almost 6 months since the miscarriage now and I really just want to get pregnant. At this point I'm barely swaying for a girl. I'm doing an hr of cardio every day but we've been going to our cabin on the weekends and there isn't a gym there so I skip it. Or I skip breakfast 6 days out of 7 but not every day, I also eat meat when I feel like it. We've been doing BF every 4 days but this cycle I will definitely add an additional attempt once I get a positive OPK. I just want another baby so bad, another boy would be fabulous, a girl would just be a nice treat that I can live without.
Good luck to everyone this cycle!!! It would be so nice if we all got BFPs!!

Short luteal phase will def get her thinking of Clomid. I told my doc that I did some research, and that I used short luteal and possible not ovulating and flat out asked for Clomid. He handed it over. Thing is is im unmonitored being a small town with limited resources.

So I managed to get in to see my doc today and things just went down hill from there :(. I started explaining about my crappy cycles and lack of opks then proceeded to start crying my eyes out. I didn't think I was so stressed out, the whole idea of charting and using opks 3 months prior to ttc was to take the stress out of it and unfortunately it's totally backfired. She's asked me to stop temping and usings opks and relax. We are doing a blood test on Wednesday to determine if I oed last cycle so I'll get the results friday and hopefully take that stress out of the picture. I'm glad I had this wake up call as not only do I think I'm hurting my sway I'm hurting my chances of conceiving at all!! Sometimes I hate my personality always trying to control things lol, so I've come to an agreement with myself. No temping till after af and use digital opks and just see what happens. I'm going to stop thinking I have any control and just hope for the best.

Happy June, ladies! Big *hugs* for essnce and anyone else who needs one. Stress prevents bfps, so we need to do whatever we can to relax. I've been trying meditation.
I'm on the day when it is hardest for me to relax. My temps are holding steady, I had unusual cramps last night, and af is due tomorrow. It's limbo day, stuck wondering if I'm preg or af is coming. I stopped testing early a couple of cycles ago (this is attempt cycle 11 for me), but I caved and tested yesterday because of good temps and cramping. It was a very white bfn. So nothing to do but try to keep myself distracted and see what tomorrow morning brings. Last month I had a temp dip a couple of days before af, so even if this isn't it, it seems my cycles are improving. Please say a little prayer for me!

I would continue in case this one is a false surge. You can get pregnant from early ovulation- I did with DS1! If opks stress you out, then I would just keep BDing every 4 days until you get past the latest you've ever ovulated.

Hi ladies, I'm back again for a June attempt (TTC month #2) and should O sometime this weekend. I'm on CD14 today and usually O between CD18-20. We are BDing every 4 days and had an attempt last night. If I O on CD18 as expected, our next attempt will be at O-1. I'm a little worried about my sway, as I have been terrible with the diet. I have been skipping breakfast but have to have my coffee with sugar and cream in the morning because DS sleeps so terrible (but I think sleep deprivation sways pink right?). I have had meat just about everyday with dinner but have been good about avoiding red meat. I can't lose any more weight so I haven't been watching calories or fat or including exercise, just trying my best to choose pink-friendly food options. So I've included lots of praying with my sway! :) My OB thinks I may have had a chemical pregnancy last cycle so if that's the case, that may help my sway as well.
FX crossed for all of you that this is your month!!

This is our 4 month TTC.
I had my RE run some tests and he called me today to tell me my FSH is 14 and that my AMH is 1.2.
I am 35 years old and conceived my son on first try.
My RE said the numbers are for AMH are on the low side.
Can someone please tell me anything about these numbers? I'm kinda freaking out.

I would have KILLED for numbers like yours! On the low side does not mean low. I think those numbers are appropriate for your age. I would keep doing what you are doing and go from there.
Are you taking CoQ10? It can help to increase egg quality, which is what the AMH values test for. If not, I would ask Atomic about it. It wouldn't hurt to ask.
I honestly feel when we are 35 and older, it can take a while to conceive sometimes. It SUCKS though! I know you may feel you want to do everything you can to conceive, just be careful though. Our fertility is like a dial and not like a light switch- you don't want to turn it too far the other way to conceive boy (which happened to me when DS2 weaned with all I was doing just to get pregnant!).
Hang in there sweetie!! Struggling to conceive sucks and hurts. We will be here for you [emoji8]!!

I took femara the previous cycle ( unsupervised). Could that lead to high FSH levels?
My RE doesn't know about it and I don't want to tell that to him.
Between AMH and FSH which of the 2 is more important as far as ones fertility?

My understanding is that they both are indicators of fertility. FSH looks at how well your ovaries respond on their own with your hormones to release an egg, or with meds, and AMH looks at the health and quality of the eggs you have. Both are important. I'm not sure about the effects of Femera.
To answer your other question, you can post your values in the infertility forum in the 2WW thread or in the TTC girl forum. If you are a member, you can post your values in the HT forum just for their insight.

Totally normal. I had to switch from the Wondfo brand of opks because they were too sensitive and I was getting 5+ days of positives in a row. Now I use the Babi brand and only get two days of positives. I'm one that doesn't O within 48 hours of my first +opk though. I O 72 hours after my first +opk usually. I get two days of positives then on day three get a negative and O that day. So you really don't know what your pattern will be till you have a couple of months of charting under your belt.

Hitme - can you get a Dr's appoint and ask for an E2 blood test to check ovulation - just tell them you have been trying for a while and need to pinpoint ovulation? Not sure if just getting the one test will help, but it may be better than nothing?(I know my FS wants me to get like 4 or so in the one cycle if/when I do it). Mamas thanks for the replies - so im using wondfo off amazon via Formosa medical. They came highly recommended by Maiden. I found ONE Babi brand left in my drawer so I'll run it beside a wondfo tomorrow. That being said I poas again at 930 and it was a fair bit darker.

But there is a lot of info about ph levels so who knows. I think I've read acijel can lower ph? I did look into it at one stage early on. I've read the lower your ph the more chance swimmers will be taken out so I don't know that going below 5 will achieve much. The optimal range ttc is between 7-14 from memory. It's been ages since I read up on it though. I think it sounds like your in a good range though if your trying to have a less hospitable environment for o and bd time. Hope this helps and I hope someone else comments lol in case I'm wrong

Hi ladies! It has been almos 6 months after my mc, and no bfp, I'm almost ready to give up...we've decided to take a break from ttc this month and I've made an appointment to see my OB tomorrow, though I'm not sure if I should ask for clomid or not. Meanwhile, I've started accupuncture for my shoulder pain, and the accupuncturist asked me about my cycle and fertility, so I told her I've been trying to get pregnant for months with no luck. She said she can help me with those issues as well. To make a long story short, a few days later I felt horrible ovulation pain and had gobs of ewcm, it hasn't happened in a very very long time! Going by those signs I ovulated cd10 or 11, and our last BD was cd8, so I guess I might still have a chance this cycle...time will tell. Good luck everyone xoxoxo

I don't chart unfortunately, never have, and I didn't want to start as it just would've stressed me out so ill just keep testing with the opks and just bd every 4 days, that way ill be covered :)

Af came :-(
Grace, I've been getting acupuncture since Feb. I know xx had it more often, but mine only wants to see me once a month. This month we timed it before o and it really seemed to help my cm and temps. So my advice is think about what time of the month you're having it. Anytime is good, but if you know your weak spot it might be best to target then.
Mandy, are you sure you're getting positives? It should be as dark or darker than the control line. If you're getting them early and for several days, I'm wondering if you need to take a regular hpt? If you're already pregnant it can give opk+ results! Are you sure you had af or could it have been implantation bleeding? Sorry if I'm wrongly getting your hopes up, but I do remember seeing some cases on here where ladies couldn't understand their opk results and it turned out they were already pregnant.

No not at all, I appreciate the advice :) the two opks I had yesterday and the day before were very positive (test line was a lot darker than the control line) but they are showing negative today, my initial thought was to do a hpt as it was very early in my cycle, thinking my bleed may have been implantation (I had this with my eldest and I thought it was af only to find out at my first scan that I was 4 weeks further along than I thought) but I did a test and it was negative so I am still going under the assumption that I have / will ovulate early.

Hi Grace! Nice to see another familiar face on here! XX seemed to have great success after her acupuncture.
So sorry that AF found you Sage. I hope next cycle is your BFP!
Just wondering how you guys are keeping your ph low. Im taking supplements and diet, drinking a lot of peppermint and milk. Ibstarted using acijel but i keep staying between 5 and 6....does it need to be down to 4.5?
Tracking PH is more of an outdated old school swaying method that seems to be dubunked. Atomic definitely doesn't recommend tracking PH or doing anything to lower it any more. Getting obsessed with tracking anything will sway boy. The most current girl sway methods that most are doing are:
LE diet
Skipping breakfast
1 attempt in fertile window by BD every 4 days OR BD at +opk
Cardio daily for 60 minutes OR no exercise at all
Alcohol for DW
Licorice root and/or olive leaf extract for DH (licorice root only if DH is under 35 years old)
Most no longer do vitex, saw palmetto, Rephresh/Acijel/Replens/Sylk, antihistamines, jump and dump, PH testing, etc as they don't seem to sway much and only decrease the chance of getting pregnant.

I'm here but it looks like we were too late again. It looks like I'm ovulating the same day as +OPK. How can this be? I guess I'm still missing surge. 12 noon is best for me , it appears. This is so frustrating guys. We met with RE last week and we'll start testing on CD3 and then CD6-10 along with a semen analysis in July (hubby goes in super early to work and we absolutely won't do this in the office). I travel for work so I hope these specific days work out for me this month. It's not like I can tell my customers, I'm not gonna make the appointment because I'm on CD3. Lol! This is crazy! Don't count yourself out yet, fefecooks! When I look at the chart galleries on FF and filter them by timing, O day has a 32% pregnancy rate and O-1 has 33%. So not a huge difference. And plenty of people have success with O+12 too. Where did you see that O day doesn't get a great score?

So apparently I should have explained to DH exactly what getting a positive opk means. He apparently thought it meant that I already ovulated so he didn't need to pull out because that means I can't get preggers. :/ So I guess now I'm officially in the 2ww, lol! I should have seen this coming after last month. I'm not super upset, just a little frustrated since I am supposed to be getting clomid in 2 weeks.

Hitme waiting till Saturday late morning or even lunch would be so much closer to 4 days. You put so much effort into your girl sway and what if you dtd tonight and don't get a temp rise in morning? Do your opks say what time frame till o once positive? Like 12-48 hrs or 12-72? Deep down myself I don't think I'd risk the extra attempt tonight, is this your 1st go ttc? I know you dont want to waste the clomid can you have another cycle on it (I've got no idea sorry)

I just retested - and it's still pos. I used my last test so we're gonna do Saturday morning, after breakfast when the kids are watching cartoons lol Then it will be official - I'll be in the TWW! shriek!!!!
And even if I do get s temp rise there is still a chance at tomorrow right?

Yay, Pbn3 for ovulating! Your ds1 sound hilarious! :)
I hope you have a great egg growing magical! FX!!
I hope everything goes well at your scan Gg8!
Afm, I guess I jumped the gun on my positive opk and the first one was actually yesterday. So, I technically ovulate today which means that our attempt was O-1. FX for a sticky little girl bean!!! :) DH was so excited when I was telling him it actually worked out that we have a pretty good sway that he sent me this : http://images.tapatalk-cdn.com/15/06/05/a6969b96953f0319475b0ee62867bf9b.jpg lol!

Hi ladies I have been having extreme aches and cramping pains for the past 3 days, I went to the doctor today to get checked because I never had this type of pain when I was pregnant with my son. They gave me a blood and urine test. The blood test came out negative, I am 9 dpo , I was wondering of that was to soon to show any hcg? Some of the information I read onlinr conflicts each other.

I don't know daisy. FXed that it's positive!
I think I'm in the tww now - possibly 1DPO. I ran out of OPKs and so I'm just going by CM for now. Might DTD again 4 days from our attempt which was Thursday night just to be sure that I have all bases covered.
Hopefully this tww goes faster than the last for everyone :)

Daisy I just had a quick look too and from what I can see it can be detected as early as 7dpo but more like 9-10dpo. May just be too early for hcg levels. Would definitely not take your result at 9dpo as confirmed negative you still have every chance. Do you have any frer hpts maybe you could take one tomorrow or 11dpo? My ds1 didn't show a positive home test even when I was due for af was a few days later, ds2 I had a really early result so it really does vary. fx for you!!!

Good luck Daisy and covered in blue! :) June 19th is my test day. Ugh... It seems so far away!!! I'm a poas addict though, so I'll probably test on the 14th, and then every day after that until either a bfp or af, lol!!!!!

Daisy, 9dpo could be too early. I'd wait a few days and test again.

Wait hitme! If you are o'ing now then you still have some chance from late night Tuesday bd. If you dtd that two attempts in fertile window!! Ultimately its up to you but how are you going to feel if you don't get temp rise in morning and didn't wait to bd till tomorrow?

So I've just read an egg survives for 12-24 hours once released however also read sperm needs 12 hours prep before it can fertilise an egg. Did not know that lol! Don't forget swimmers can live for 5-7 days so stick to your one attempt from Tuesday and bd in morning if no temp rise that would be my advice :) ***just read on another site eggs can survive 24-48 hours so I would middle and say 24 hours so maybe bd in morning anyway even if temp spikes

Ya I just read the same. I'll maybe split the difference and do a 4am bd.

I am also in the tww, had positive opks Monday and Tuesday (attempt was Monday night) so I'm thinking I'm 3/4 dpo at the moment :) I'm back to work on Monday after my maternity leave ends so I'm hoping the next week or so flys by :) although I'm not sure how impressed my employer would be me going back to work pregnant ha ha, good luck to all those who are in the tww or who are coming up to ov :) does anybody else feel super hungry during the tww? I feel like I could just stuff my face all day long ha ha.

Thank you :) I would like to say that I will just wait until af is due but I haven't got that kinda willpower lol so will probably test at 10-12dpo. I'm thinking that I'm not going to be pregnant this month. My first opk was at cd6 and I know you can get pregnant ovulating that early I just feel like I'm not that lucky.

Awesome Mandy!
I went back to work after a one year maternity leave and got pregnant a month later. Male dominant business, and not very supportive but I planned a career change anyway.

So my temps were still down (dipped a little lower even) but we did our bd this morning, just under 12 hrs after the first pos opk. Hope everything lines up nicely! Thanks for talking me down last night, im glad I waited - even though it was more like 3.5 days, I like that I was able to comprise without feeling like I tossed my hard work aside.

Help so with ttc a girl, if I have my scan Tuesday morning and everything looks great and I have ovidril shot to make me O (24-36 hours after shot) what days this week would you be dtd and what days wouldn't you?

That would be like getting a +opk, so I'd dtd on Tuesday. Then you'd have one attempt in your fertile window.
