I'm still waiting for my +opk. I'm cd16 now. I'm little worried I will ovulate very late. My cycles used to be 25 days but last cycle was 28 days and I think LE diet has made my cycles longer. I know 28 isn't a long cycle and I shouldn't be worried as I can have my +opk any day now. Maybe it's just that I've been waiting for my first attempt for so long and now I have to wait a little longer for +opk than I first thought... Oh well, I just need to be patient and try not to stress about it.

Sorry, Im swaying pink. Saturday and Sunday i had watery Cm and a few cramps. Hubby was out of town so we DTD early monday morning to try to catch the egg but then Monday afternoon i got a positive OPK. Monday night i had horrible cramps that keep waking me up, i havent had much CM but maybe a little more. I was tryingbto be laid back and not test too much. I'll try to test OPK today and see what i get.

Pbn3 and anyone else who is thinking about giving up TTC because you can no longer sway-- As someone who has been swaying since February 2014, has had a miscarriage during that time, and has a DH who wants no more children and pulls out every time we DTD, you can still sway very lightly and get a girl. It happens all the time, here and IRL. I know in my heart that if I accidently got pregnant (and I did both times with DS1 and DS2) with zero sway I would 100% have another boy and that thought makes me so sad, so I knew I had to keep up some kind of "sway" until I either got back on the pill (not happening) or DH got a vasectomy. There's no way I could continue a super strict sway like I did when I got pregnant the 3rd time (miscarriage) but I could do a few things that sway girl and not do things that sway heavily boy.

As a classic boy mom I used to take daily multivitamins, probiotics, fish oil, vitamin D, and b-complex. I used to drink green or white tea daily. I never drank alcohol, coffee, or diet drinks. Cutting out the vitamins and tea and adding coffee and a daily diet soda with a shot of vodka were easy for me. So I continue with that. It doesn't take much effort.

I continue taking a spoonful of cinnamon a day in a single serve applesauce as this is easy too. It's my "dessert!"

DH continues to take OLE (since I'm in charge of his vitamins)

I've never been into exercise, and could barely keep up with my cardio when I was swaying hardcore, so I am a couch potato. Two of my best friends that have all girls don't exercise either.

With regards to the LE diet, there's no way I can count out all my calories, protein, fat every day or eat vegetarian so I don't do that. I got extremely iron deficient after doing the LE diet and having my miscarriage so I continue to eat meat daily to help my iron. My best friend is a vegetarian and has all boys and my 3 friends who have all girls all eat meat, so I don't think you have to cut out meat to get a girl. My friends with all girls do eat little red meat, so while I do eat red meat, I try and limit it to the TWW. Skipping breakfast has always been easy for me so I keep that up. No snacking is easy for me so I do that as well and stick to 2 meals a day. I have 1 serving of full fat dairy a day-- heavy cream in my cappuccino! I used to snack on nuts, beef jerky, and full fat yogurt, but now if I'm going to snack it will be with something sugary like candy! I used to eat a lot of salmon, now I buy white fish.

I don't worry about when to DTD. I use Preseed to help out any swimmers that may have escaped.

It's an extremely manageable "light sway" but it's still A LOT of changes from when I got pregnant with my boys. My advice for anyone thinking of giving up TTC, is to just pick a few girl friendly lifestyle changes that you can do without thinking and avoid a few of the biggest boy swayers. Because like Atomic says, so many people get fed up and stop swaying completely and all of a sudden BAM, they're pregnant right away with an opposite. It's always better to do a very manageable light sway then to give up everything (unless you're 100% ok with an opposite that is).

Good luck to everyone and I totally get the urge to throw in the towel!

I walked my boys to McDonald's after we got done at the library this morning for a treat lunch and my oldest decided after we ordered that my fish sandwich sounded better than his cheeseburger. So I ate his cheeseburger. And oh my goodness ladies, I need to be pregnant, like now, so I can eat burgers again. That was the first red meat I've had since June. And it was well worth the risk of messing up my sway diet haha.

Hiya Twointow! Looking for a second opinion on my temping this morning. I woke up in the dark shoved the thermometer in and I think I dozed off for a minute because the beeping startled me and the thermometer wasn't quite right in my mouth. It was 36.38. I took it again 10 minutes later and it was 36.54. The only movement I did was to check the time on my phone (bedside table)and put thermometer back under pillow. It's such a big difference for 10 minutes so I'm unsure which way to go. I don't want to put the higher temp in just to make my chart look better iykwim. I know at 2dpo its fairly irrelevant but anyway what are your thoughts? Ps. Miss you lol hope your doing great!

Thanks Purple I have just changed it back to earliest temp. I know I've definately oed as my cm has changed to post o type. My chart is like nothing I've seen before lol hope its a good sign - unfortunately I also have alot of clear circles as I've been waking up and temping anywhere from 4am to 6am lol

So just a quick question - with all of my pregnancies I would always get a positive frer well and truly before af was due - am I right/wrong I thinking that this is just how my body works and that I would never 'not' get a positive early on with subsequent pregnancies? Does anyone have any experiences with hpt's and their pregnancies? :wink:

I guess I just feel that I am not on cue to be pregs this cycle comparing them to my previous 5 conceptions etc - hope that makes sense.....

Immi I got a clear bfp at 8dpo with ds2 however ds1 I thought I was out and didn't get a bfp until af was due or late, it was awhile ago with him but I remember because I drank over easter weekend after doing 3 tests over as many days when af was due and all were bfns :(

In my experience, every pregnancy is different. If I understand it correctly, there is no specific amount of time it takes for an egg to implant once it fertilizes, so the point at which you have enough hcg in your system to register a positive can vary, not to mention the amount even in FMU. Perhaps you're drinking more now throughout the day than you were with those pregnancies and it's diluting more, or maybe because you've changed your diet, it's affecting how you react to the tests.

I'd never count a cycle out until AF shows.

Shouldn't be an issue at all! Right now baby is either working on implanting or just barely implanted, and the placenta isn't formed yet, so wine isn't even going to reach him/her. I can't remember which of my classes I learned it in, but I'm pretty sure the critical period for alcohol induced birth defects doesn't start until 3-4 weeks after fertilization, when most women know well and good that they are pregnant.

AF had slowed right down about midday wednesday so only about a day and a half flow (medium) now back to a light spotting flow. In short i was still feeling some pg symptoms and did a test this Am and had a faint positive. I have had blood drawn and tested again this pm different test and another faint positive. I'll get the results tmro but im hoping its just my hormones taking a little while to adjust back to normal. Im not expecting some miracle but i hope that it doesn't effect this month's attempt. Will update when i know more tmro xx

What do you ladies think. I took 4 opk's today. First one is around 9.30am, next one 1pm, then 3.30pm and then 9pm. The first one that was done in the morning does have most color in the test line, I know it's not positive but I was wondering why the others seem to be fading. Yesterday's opk's were absolutely negative, not almost any color in the test line. Should I just wait until tomorrow and see if the test line darkens?27640

I'm not sure really.... I think I can see a shadow where the line runs but I don't think there is any colour in it. Going off my previous pregnancies it really should be well and truly jumping out of the test by now, even though it's only 10dpo.
I bought another 3pk of frer's yesterday so I can test tomoz and Sunday and then af should be here Mon or Tues.
My temp is still up but in the one practice run cycle I charted it stayed up until the end as well.

I'm even using up my opks lol. Had an extra tester so been poas since 1dpo. More of an experiment than anything and no point just throwing them out. Had a clear circle (low fertile) result 1dpo and a flashing smiley 2 and 3dpo. Got 3 sticks left which will take me up to 6dpo :) if I don't test early with hpts I'll be happy to send to you Purple :)

Pbn - can you refresh my memory about using an opk to test similar to hpt? I remember two would sometimes use them when it was getting towards testing time, but I cant remember what it meant if you see a line on one of those? :happy:

The theory is that lh and hcg are like twin hormones. An opk can pick up hcg but a hpt cant pick up lh. Its certainly not exact as many women experience an lh surge b4 af is due (I did one cycle - got all excited for nothing). Its more just a possibility if you see a line getting darker on opks then you MIGHT end up seeing a bfp or you MIGHT not. I'm only poas because I'm an addict lol and have no need to keep them :) and its way to early to give me any indication lol but just out of curiosity I thought I'd test up to 6dpo just to see what happens :)

I think it needs to be positive as you normally have some LH in your system at varying levels.

Totally thought I was out, quit testing. I even skipped a couple of days of vitamins! Well on day 14 I woke up sweating. Temp went up so I decided to test.

Boysboys-i did that with my 2nd child. I test3d eRly and got a pig fat pfn and then no period and no cramps and we were going out thay night for st pattys so i tested and got a bfp. I went out and half 1 last beer (i didnt drink it all) since we had a babysitter for the first time.

We r having steak tonight..ice saved up most of my fat, protuen and calories for the day and going to give my little guys most of mine. I cant wait to go back to my normal meals. I need to be pregnant fast!!

Af is due a week from today. I checked my symptom tracker and on 7dpo last month I had a breakout so it could happen at 6dpo too I guess. Either that or it's unrelated. I hate that I never have answers!!

FF gave my crosshairs again although I don't believe I have O'd because of my spotting and also I don't think my temps are accurate for the last few days because I haven't been sleeping well. Also last night I only went to bed just before 2am and temped just after 5am (and ate and drank late!).

Essnse thank you for sharing your story, it has spurred me on to continue albeit a light sway. I have my sister in laws bachelorette party this weekend so no doubt it will be cheat central but back on the wagon next week just less severe as past months. Been on LE for 22 weeks today so feel I have compromised my body enough to hopefully get my girl,really feeling the effects of it now though so need to loosen up a little.

We had an attempt tonight on CD9, last month my cycle was short so hoping e4d gives us a chance this month. Expecting to O next Thursday or Friday so well see. FXed this is the month, have dreamed about my July baby girl forever and can't believe she COULD be areal possibility!!

Pbn, it is hard to tell what the cm was like. At first it was ewcm with just a touch of spotting but then it was heavier some days. TMI but I enen had a few tiny little clots so something isn't right.

Same exact thing happened to me! Now I have a June and July baby. Now I may potentially have another June or July baby too. We just started and the last time took a long time so I may end up with a completely different time of year if I have to be patient.

She wants to check my ovaries, although they looked at them when I was pregnant but I guess they might be different when in pre-ovulation state (assuming I haven't ovulated, or don't between now and when I can get it done)

Lucky I have already hit the medicare safety net for this year so it shouldn't cost too much :)

The blood tests were just the standard FSH, LH, oestrogen and progesterone.

Hmmm I don't know mammacass I would think you'd just keep taking temp as per normal and create new solid circles after a few temps at the hours difference time if that makes sense :)

I just put in the old time (so 6am) even though the clock said 7am this morning. Then from now on I will just do it normally as if there was no change. So I got an open circle this morning but I've noted daylight savings etc :wink:

Yeah, my first is a clomid baby, although everything else I did swayed boy. I will probably still try, it was pretty hard missing the d&c cycle so I don't think I can miss another one.

The ebay cheapy was looking darker so I used the ovuplan test and the test line looks darker than the control. I didn't think I had ovulated... looks like my body keeps trying though. Sorry for anoying everyone with my endless 'is it ovulation?' posts :)

I've been running around like a mad woman today trying to get my hands on some Vitex! Silly me didn't realise I was running low and took the last one this morning, still have another 4-5 days to take it. All the local chemists were out of stock in the brand I usually take and had no others at all! Finally found one though a different brand. Lesson learnt to stock up although not sure how many cycles I will stick with it, will see if it does anything for me this cycle first [emoji4]

A fellow swayer I remember from way back who stopped posting due to awful personal circumstances posted saying she had a baby girl and was over the moon (she was team green) and I felt that super hopeful feeling that this last month would be my month :) in any case I've done all I can including a bd on o day so the rest is up to the fertility gods I suppose. I've read that since looking up causes. It doesn't mention clomid specifically but says "fertility therapy" and "fertility drugs".

They can still drop just before AF or even during AF so its not a sure thing but until that happens its a good sign having them stay up. How long is your LP normally?
Ah I see your attempt is quite far back from O, was that because you had 2 follies? I guess it is possible you caught one but maybe not...

Immi most times my temps don't drop until after af finishes so it depends on the individual person. Do you normally see a drop prior to af?

Mine looks like it drops day of AF, I only have 1 full normal chart to go off though, the other ones I have are from my BFP month and the the d&c month.... The normal one had temps sitting around 36.5 and then dropped down to 36.3 on ad day.

I tested on 8,9,10 and 11dpo with Frer's - I am a bit of a poas addict :wink:
But I would think if I was pregs that it would of shown at least on 11dpo...
Will see what I'm feeling when I walk by the Isle at the shops! Haha!

I did use an opk today but I have read that you can get stronger LH detection on them as you come into AF so that didn't really help either. It had a decent line but not positive.

7dpo today! Temp has gone up again today.. FX it stays up [emoji120] still gonna resist poas though normally I do every day from 7dpo!!! Funnily enough though, the month I didn't with DS2 I was pregnant and I randomly did an OPK before knowing they would go positive when pregnant and it was blaring back at me so I read online that could mean pregnancy - and it was! I just felt like that month wasn't the month so didn't test!
DS1 wasn't planned and I realised I hadn't come on about a week or so later and had painful boobs so popped to tesco in my break and nearly fainted when it was positive! I left work and walked right out in front of cars in the centre of town [emoji85] got all the way back to my car and had left my keys on my desk! X

I'm 9 or 10 dpo and starting to feel my typical af cramps which feel pokey, they never feel like that when I'm pregnant. Also feeling tender bbs which I used to think was good but I've had them the past two cycles and they were bfn. Af is due Wednesday-Friday so I guess I'm going to have to wait a few more days. Dh wants it to happen right away so I'm feeling extra pressure if it doesn't happen, I think we need to have a talk about that so maybe he can reassure me.

Remember that our bodies have muscle memory! It's probably your uterus quickly expanding to make room for your future baby! I was nervous too- I experienced Braxton Hicks since week 5!! Even though our bean is microscopic, our body remembers going through this before and is making room early.

My pains were down very low, deep in my pelvis (like where you feel O pain, just not exactly the same. They were sharp increasingly frequent and increasingly painful. The best way I can describe it is it felt like I got stabbed on that side, the knife got wiggled around a bit (pain spread/radiated nearby) and then it'd ease off at first for awhile(hours with normal but slightly stronger preg cramps in between), then only for a short time (around an hour... minimum of 30 mins between pains but usually closer to an hour) and finally just before surgery I was getting them every 20 minutes or less and they were so bad that even on morphine I would yelp in pain, grasp my side and try not to cry. I don't think what you are feeling is the same, but if it continues to be an issue then trust your gut and get it checked out (((HUGS)))

ETA: The pain also pierced through to my back but only on that one side. Like I told the u/s tech in the ER my right side felt like normal preg cramps but it was like my left side "lost it's freaking mind" and yes, I said it just like that lol.

Afm- CD9, haven't started OPK yet but will in a few days. I usually don't get a positive until cd17ish.. My chart is kinda weird I think but maybe not. Yesterday from today I had a big drop but I searched other charts and it doesn't seem like an issue. Excited to use digis this month. We've been having issues with a contractor at our home and I'm always the one worked up and yelling w the guy... My natural bossiness and testosterone levels definitely seat boy. Big time. Lol b

Two, I'm so sad to read this update. My heart is broken for you. I hope your recovery is swift and you are able to rest.

Lauren, I am a type A and bossy and ended up with two girls so there are always exceptions! Just stick with LE (and I totally cheated) and no weights. That's what I did.

Anyone else feel their 2ww is dragging?!? I'm so ready for this to be done and know one way or the other. I hate that af and pregnancy symptoms can be similar. I haven't broken out yet which is usually a sign that af is coming so that's giving me hope. I did a little on cd 6 but that seems too early for pregnancy or af. AAAAGH. I just wish it was Friday!

Oh and anyone get sore bbs regularly before af and with a bfp?

This month is crawling.. I'm still waiting to O, AF finally finished up on Thursday (7 days was the longest AF I've ever had, and that was the heaviest as well, I thought it would never end). I'm trying to temp this cycle, so far so good. Hope some ladies start getting bfp's soon

Big temp drop this morning which means AF is coming today :sad: I knew this was coming, but it would of been nice to have a surprise this morning with a high temp and would of taken a test.....

So - onto CD1 of my last ttc cycle. I am not sure if I want to take the Clomid again? If I do, I won't do the monitoring as it was a real pain going every few days for bloods and then for the scan as well (which all turned out fine). But then again, I will have to explain that to the Dr.... :think:

Fingers crossed for everyone waiting to O and test, lets hope the days fly by for us :happy:

Quick question actually, I have HORRIBLY sore BBs since last night so about 24-30 hours since I noticed. On CD12 thinking perhaps the sore BBs is my body about to O! Anyone here ever get sore BBs coming up to O? Doing e4d here and next attempt is tomorrow, plenty of O type cramping on my right side, dunno if I could stomach DH near my BBs if they feel like this tomorrow!!! The only way I could put it is that they feel like they did the time I got mastitis when weaning DS2!!! The pain is so bad!!! :(
