I'm sorry Mommy :( sounds like you got a winner plan for this cycle, gotta catch that egg!! :) on the plus side, you have beautiful post O temps, so your progesterone must be good and that's a bonus for a sticky bean :)

Thanks lmsm! That makes me feel better, my last two angel babies were low progesterone.

With the clomid they say it stays in your system for 6-8 weeks from memory? I may be wrong about that, it may be longer, but I'll look into it more tomorrow. So you'd basically only have the effects of clomid for the one cycle following a clomid cycle. So yes I think alternating cycles with your last lot of clomid is a good idea.

I've never heard of taking clomid days 7-11? I'd be more inclined to stick to 3-7, 4-8 or 5-9.....

Clomid stays in your system up to 11 weeks, depending on your metabolism. My RE said 8-10 weeks.

Mommy- Do not spread out Clomid! I think you should consider taking it 2-6 or 3-7.

Mommy - Thank you. So glad you found the good tests! Stock up!
Sorry you didn't get pink lines :( I really thought this was your cycle. Sounds like you and Pbn3 have come up with an AMAZING plan. I'm not sure about skipping clomid? How many cycles have you used it? Are you having CD21 blood tests to check for ovulation and progesterone? I think it's usually 6 months before they say no more.

Pbn3 - Would be so cool to have twins! Crazy but amazing :)
So glad you got some more photos....gosh you're strong staying team green. Hubby and I found out with our second but didn't tell anyone. Even put a lock on the nursery so no one could snoop. So your ob will get results and they won't come to you in the mail? Do they know that you swayed?

Halley - Hope you get a positive OPK soon. Go you for so many diet changes....I find HE diet easy, hence two boys already. LE diet was so hard!

Lola - Thank you! Still can't believe it really!

LMSM - Thank you. Yay for getting Brazil nuts. Glad you had a good sleep. I find I sleep terribly when initially pregnant. Fingers crossed for a temp rise tomorrow! Sometimes I play around with my FF chart and put a few high temps in ahead of time and see where it puts the cross hairs. Then I go back and delete them all ;)

Mto - Thank you! Hope you get those pink lines soon. Enjoy your camping trip!

AFM - Another busy day....Ikea, furniture store and more racing around getting the car finalised for sale. Done now....just need to give it a final clean and get the cheque. Feeling tired, nausea most of the day and I'm so bloated I can't do up my pants already. I forgot to ask my ob for blood slips, only asked about my appointment next week. Will ring tomorrow. AF is due in 2 days.....starting to get nervous, but feel so sick it's reassuring.

Iw4k they haven't been doing the monitoring. Maybe she will prescribe more when I go back for my pap smear in Aug if I don't conceive this cycle. it's alright, it was only my first month of actually trying. I can't be upset about it! ❤️
This is your sweet little baby momma!! So excited for you!! Eek can't wait until we get to see your little one!! Sick and bloated is definitely a great sign!!

I thought you had to be monitored taking it? Otherwise they increase the dose until it's right. In saying that, your temps show you did, but it would still be good to know for sure.
Second cycle should be the one xo

Looking at you charts, I would take Clomid days 3-7 for sure. The thing about Clomid is once you stop taking it, it stays in your system for 8-11 weeks before not being able to be detected in your body. Taking a half of a dose like you are talking about may not help you in anyway to conceive. If you're taking Clomid purely for swaying purposes and not to help with ovulating, then you can consider taking a half of a dose. The reason doctor's prescribe it on average for 3 cycles is because if Clomid is going to help you conceive by helping ovulation issues, it works within 3 cycles or the cycle after discontinuing (4th cycle).

I hope all of this makes sense!

Also, Clomid can cause opks to not work well for some people. This may be what is happening with you Mommy. I like your plan of BDing E3D this cycle!

I would definitely mention to your doc in August that you haven't responded to the Clomid. She may switch you over to Femara and add in a trigger shot since opks don't seem to work for you in detecting your surge. Hopefully you get your BFP before then!!!

Good morning all.
So I woke up at 6 and took my temp, checked on my still sleeping babies and went back to bed for a few hours. I just woke up at 9 (long day yesterday and I was exhausted!) to find my babies are not in their room. I panic a little, run down stairs, and well, I thought I would share with you the adorable sight I found...

Mommy, I'm sorry this wasn't your cycle, I can feel your disappointment when I see your test pictures. I love the new plan! Honestly, I think if you were only doing e5d that alone might be why you can't catch your egg. Those dual hormone detection opks and doing e3d could be all you need to make the difference. I personally would take the clomid as prescribed and even throw in that 1 extra attempt at +opk to just go all in for this new and improved plan, but that's just me. I have very high hopes for your next cycle! Sounds promising :)

Here well am frazzled, I took my temp as per usual 36.83...granted I was interrupted had to get up for Bub, so probs didn't get the reading before the bbt was ready, a couple of minutes later, went back to bed and took it again 36.91... tried again after resting for some minutes..36.80...
In any case it is soooooo low for me for this time of the cycle I really am at loss and don't see how that can be any good I just feel like crying :( meh

Pbn3 - helpful as always!!! Love seeing your posts too. And I love the pics of your little one! I wish I was still team green right now. But it is what it is. :)

It took me 2 days to get caught up from the weekend and holiday on all of your posts! Crazy ladies. :) I will try to help when I can, but I am still fighting morning sickness and some major gender disappointment at the moment. But coming here and reading how you ladies are doing helps tons!

Thanks Shan! Definitely boo! It's alright, thank goodness for another cycle! This plan sounds better than my last plan for sure!!

So many hugs Shan. I had gender disappointment bad with my youngest. Wouldn't trade him for anything though. He's the sweetest! I cried for weeks when I found out he wasn't a she.

Nawww your girls ttc 😍😍 it's so special seeing that bond ❤ happens so rarely between my boys I have to force myself to remember they do like one another occasionally 😩 especially when they've just fought forcan entire day 😭

LMSM please try not and worry! These early temps just confirm o ❤ remember different is good! It could simply mean your body is dealing with something different and therefore is reacting differently. Wait and see how your temps look over the next 5 or so days! I bet they'll bring a smile to your face!

Lola ds1 has a 'date' with his best friend from prep 😍 me and his mum are just dragging our other kids along for the ride! It's adorable to see them interacting the way they do and I'm really hope that we and them don't leave or change schools as I was always envious of people that had been friends since primary school. Thanks hon, I' m trying not to get too caught up in the temps thing but it does worry me...this cycle has been weird, pre O temps much higher than usual and post O much lower...did I even O?! Lol

We're off to do the groceries, will also have to find a pressie for one of M's kindy friends celebrating his 5th bday on Sunday..theme is "Haka" and Moana movie :) shame it's so wet ATM, hope the weather clears by Sunday so the kids can enjoy the outdoors :) Ihave no clue what to buy ...have no boys lol M told me he likes Ninja turtles and to pretend he is Shredder, is that even appropriate for a 5 y.o boy?! ( can you tell I am at loss ?! Lol)

Hmm. 5 year old boys - I have a 6yo and a 4yo. Ninja Turtle stuff is good. We have lots of hot wheel cars, Star Wars stuff like light sabers, the bigger chunky Legos, and for some reason they really like to spin stuff like a top. I steer clear of toys with smaller parts since we have the smaller one. SO be sure to keep that in mind if there are younger siblings with choking hazards.

My 5 year old loves dinosaurs (he's watched all the Jurassic Park movies 😮, transformers (has seen them too 😂) I know Raphael used to be the cool popular turtle, Leonardo is the 'leader', Donatello is the whiz kid and Michelangelo was like the surf bum 😂😂 that was when I was growing up and don't think its changed. Nawww how cute LMSM!!!!

Ttcblue yes I did see your chart and its fine for now. I know it sucks to see your temps up and down like that but it will all come together in an overall pattern eventually I promise! I'm going to get my hands on a screenshot of Nacires chart from last month as if you think yours arw erratic you should have seen hers 😂 yet she's now happily in the due date group and although it took a little while longer than normal her chart showed the shift at o which is all you want it to do at thi stage. Try not to worry so much, I promise it'll all come together when it counts ❤ if it starts becoming too much or top stressful then stop temping as it'll do you more harm than good. But try and hang in a a few more days first :)

Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

LMSM
July 6th, 2017, 10:46 PM
Ttc concur with PBN, you need more temps to really work out what is happening...remember you didn't temp before so if all else fails you still have the opks that have always picked up O by the sounds of it so don't fixate on it just yet..and if it's too much stress let it go ;) you're doing well bd wise too, so regardless of when you O, you should have good ready sperm for that egg when it makes its appearance !

Sooo..we got a Ninja turtle super shredder figurine that M chose...I was going to get some wooden game (Jenga) but I guess it was more meaningful for M to get that for him as that is what matters in the end :)
And yes´, they totes will be little mummies :) E is obsessed with babies lol

I just wish I could stop obsessing over the " Injust want to be pregnant please please please please " am sure they will be elated once it happens though...one of the best moments in my life, just after meeting them for the first time is when THEY met for the first time..gets me teary each time I think of it <3

Oh okay, thank you! I'm not so much worried about it because I think my attempts will end up being the same whether I'm temping or not. I just feel like if I'm doing it, I want to make sure I'm doing it right. I think a big mistake I made last time was taking a 7 day break from bd directly after 2 attempts at positive opk. I'm definitely doing eod for like a week after my attempts this time.

Pbn3
July 6th, 2017, 11:21 PM
Ttc I was just about to say you have to picture all those dots all joined together to see how up/down it went. They aren't connected because they've been discarded (there's a box you can tick where you enter temp) That way ff doesn't take them into account when trying to determine o day but you can still see visually where they were at :) As you can see Nacire had quite the cycle with initial erratic temps then dealing with three separate times of positive opks.

Thanks for finding and posting that mommy2apples 😀

I am just not use to them and it says to read results in 5 min but an hr or more later when it's dry it's darker and I can't see the difference or they look like they are getting lighter. I am not sure when hubby and I should be bding.

https://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/6b531d

Pbn3
July 7th, 2017, 12:23 AM
Yeah I get what you mean about it being darker when it dries and most of them do it. I honestly think 5 minues is too early and would check mine closer to but before 10 minutes. Also I only used the frer opks once or twice. Their colour is terrible and I found them more difficult to 'read' then other brands. But its what you have and they DO work. It's just the wait that is difficult. I wouldn't bd again until cd16 unless of course you get a pos opk tomorrow. If they are really bugging you can I suggest ducking into a chemist warehouse and purchasing the ovuplan ovulation kit. Has 10 opks and one hpt. They are excellant opks and the first I'd recommend for dip tests. (Their hpts are terrible but you have a couple frers which are the best for early testing) Post a pic of your opk from today. In the meantime I'll get a screenshot of the opks I'm talking about :)

Today's is the bottom one.
If I decide to stop with the opks with the charting when temp goes back up I know I have O?
I will talk to hubby about it and see if he wants me to continue with opks or not.

July 7th, 2017, 12:42 AM
You'll know you've oed once you have a sustained temp rise. Are you ok? I can sense you're quite frustrated with the opks but unfortunately your surge simply hasn't peaked. You may not get a gradual build up to positive, your opk could look like this today but be a blazing positive tomorrow. Everyone is different and even every cycle can differ.... do you think you can keep testing just the once a day until say Monday but in the meantime aim to stick to eod. So bd Sunday and we'll see where you're at opk wise then. I honestly think you'll see your pos by Monday. Hang in there!! I know it's tough but your doing an amazing job at attempts! This will all be over soon and you can put your feet up and chill till hpt testing then ❤

I saw the leaflet but and maybe I read too much into it (that's the lawyer in me) didn't explicitly say you had to leave it in..would have thought the float was to avoid people dipping past the max line ;)
Oh whoops! Maybe it's another part of the instructions 🤔. I always left mine floating lol!

So now that my internet is back up 😣 I went looking and there is nothing on the net about this bar one lady who asked the same question and was answered by other ladies who didn't know but guessed to dip for 10-20 seconds. Then I found an instruction video for them and again it says to float the strip and you'll see that pinkinsh shade go through and that its critical not too read until that has cleared. They do not remove the test but leave it floating so I'm going to stick to my belief that you do indeed float it for the 5-10 minutes (no longer than 10) the pink flow had always cleared and given a clear result when I'd check mine (always after 5 minutes, usually around the 7-8 minute mark) Hope this clears it all up lol!

Did you end up doing one Halley?

Ouch 😣 so are you going for more than one attempt at pos opk? I *think you mentioned something about aiming for night of pos opk and following morning? Also I want to give you a heads up that you *may* experience more than one day of pos opks but we always treat the first positive as 'the' positive opk. A pos opk is when the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line. The next day you *may* experience a blaring pos (so test line much darker than control) but you also may o soon after.... general rule of thumb is you should o 12-48 hours after 'first positive' :) clear as mud? 😉 just wanted to pre warn you so if it does happen (very well may not) you're prepared and understand why :)

I will do an opk tomorrow. Would I have missed it though doing it at 1pm? Once I have a positive I won't test anymore. But will share a photo so I'm 100% sure
We will bd the night of positive then the next morning and then that night. So once I get a positive I should o 12-48 hrs after

Yep spot on! 12-48 hours after pos opk and that's a great idea to stop testing as those attempts will cover you very nicely whether you o the day after or second day after first positive. Plus we will see your shift in temp to confirm :) Stick to testing between 1-2pm. Go straight to the middle and test at 1.30pm if you like (that's something I'd do 😂)

Awesome thank you so much.
I usually end up testing between 1-1:30 all depends on how long I can hold my bladder for especially if I haven't had a lot of water.
I know I have probably read it but can't remember, trying for a boy are we also meant to have glucose? This is something I don't have a lot of in my diet.

Iwant4kids those lines sure are impressive 😀 cannot wait to hear your numbers to find out if we have reason to tease you about 👭 or 👫 😄 although high hcg levels don't always mean multiples lol! I remember xxforhubby had really really high levels for ds2? I think it was! That wont stop us teasing though 😉 Will you join the ddg after your bw results?

Hey I think you asked earlier about whether I swayed? I didn't sway and only actually did sway (properly) in 2015. The next year was on and off LE diet but more attempts as I was just trying to get pregnant :) I posted a sway which I specified was a non-sway as I felt I had quite a few unintentional pink sway tactics. It helps overall to see whether some things do or don't make a difference I guess? :)

I *think* the glucose thing is to help boy embryos, which tend to be more frail...when doing ivf, embryos are in a pétri dish with glucose as they go through that early cell division, before transfer into the woman's womb.
The idea being then to ensure good levels of glucose during tww to help implantation etc?
I know I used that as an excuse to myself to treat me and'the girls to share a piece of rich chocolate cake with babycinnos for them when we were out this am

Halley- regarding glucose, you just need to make sure you are snacking between meals (it doesn't have to be a lot!!) all cycle long.

You don't need sweets per se, just make sure you don't go long periods without eating. The study that mentions glucose, is like what LMSM mentioned. Boy embryos are not efficient at sucking up glucose from their environment and need a constant supply of nutrients to thrive. Girl embryos are more efficient at sucking up glucose and do better without a constant supply of nutrients.

You're doing great! The changes you've made already are huge! Try to have more than one attempt at positive opk, and you should be good to go! If you need meal ideas, PM me! I have loads for meals and snacks that should keep you right around 2000 calories a day!

That wondfo looks close but not quite pos but I would trust the digi and bet the wondfo will be pos by tonight. And how awesome you already have an attempt in last night 😀 If you are going to j&d after tonights attempt wait at least 5 minutes. Personally after this long ttc I wouldn't j&d at all. Plus your dd's or one of them at least was two attempts one after the other right? Good luck dear lady and cant wait to stalk your chart over the next couple days ❤

Max! Yay, I'd go with the digi & call it your positive! I think with this type of digi, it detects your 2 most fertile days right? With your naturally girl friendly body & Femara, I think you have an awesome shot at pink again, so go for it if it feels right tonight! This is basically e3d plus 1 at pos OPK! I think either day is great, but it's just hard to say if you'll O tomorrow or not & don't want you to miss your chance...although you may be covered well by your other attempt (which may end up being O-2). Excited for you!!

Hey friends! I've decided to jump in on this board since we'll be doing our first TTC attempt next week. I posted elsewhere earlier today but I'm SO nervous & starting to stress out and I think it's what is wreaking havoc on my stomach!! That or IBS from all the diet changes. :( Hoping I'm not stressing out too much and messing up my sway. Been doing a girl sway for 16 weeks now - it's actually gone pretty fast! We got pregnant on the 1st try w/ our two sweet boys so I'm really wondering what will happen this time around. We're not really rushed for time and my cycles are only 24 days so I'm not going to be upset if it doesn't happen this month.

I'm on CD 7 right now... Think I'm going to try to go with the 1 attempt at positive OPK approach this cycle and see what happens!!

GL to everyone trying this month!!

Wow 16 weeks on the diet already under your belt! What a fabulous achievement 😀 And double yay for short cycles! Have you been practice tracking with opks temping etc to determine what cd's you are oing around?

Welcome ABC!!! Any questions, fire away! :)

July 7th, 2017, 07:28 PM
Well I told him I didn't want him to know when the attempts were because he's not "into it" when he knows. I also told him condoms mess with vaginal ph. He thinks I still believe in high ph for XY, as well as the timing method. So he doesn't expect me to want to bd in the fertile window before positive opk. And he never wears protection during the 2ww because I previously told him that if the egg is present the opk will be positive, so once it goes negative again, the egg is either fertilized or its already gone. He really shouldn't be so trusting in me.

I think the reason he don't ask questions is because he knows how much I want this and he's starting to come around to the idea of another child. The other day I said, "You can't tell me it wouldn't be amazing to have a sweet, little Oliver Louis" and he said "Oliver James" Not sure what anyone else thinks, but who in the world argues with the name of a child that doesn't exist? ...Unless he wants it to.

I agree atTC, he is coming to terms with it...;) if you don't get pregnant in the 3 cycles he initially granted you am sure he would agree to keep trying :)

Halley, that is quite a jump indeed...tomorrow's temp will def help clarify what is up..your opk def was getting darker, but that would a super fast surge and O so not convinced you are just about to O yet...

Iwant4, were you going to do your digi this am sweets? If so please update !!! :D

Lola, thanks my dear, I am hopeful especially since I realised if this cycle doesn't work, then next it is unlikely we will be able to BD during my fertile window as I will be with my parents and girls on the coast whilst hubs is at work :(

Hi Pbn3 - thanks!!! Yes I don't feel like my diet has been quite as strict as what some of the people on here do but I've stuck pretty much within the limits (with some cheats) and have lost 23 lbs so far which I feel good about. Also doing 5 days a week of 60 minute cardio - I've NEVER stuck to a cardio routine like this before so really hoping that helps!!

Yea I temped for a few months before I conceived each of my boys and am doing it again now. I ovulate usually between days 12-14 (I have a fairly short LP - like 10-12 days). So I'm expecting to ovulate late next week. This is my first time TTC with OPK's so hopefully they'll work!!! :)

Yea I've got alarms set on my phone to test at 1 pm and 5 pm :) Biggest thing is I drink a lot of liquid during the day (coffee in the morning/late morning and then mostly water or water w/ crystal light the rest of the day), so I have to remember not to drink too much fluid before I test!!

Pbn3
July 7th, 2017, 09:46 PM
Yeah definately try and restrict fluids at least two hours prior. If you aim to just sip at water enough to wet your mouth if thirsty :) maybe stretch the time between testing to 6 hours? So if you test at 1pm then wait till 7pm or if you test at 2pm then wait till 8pm

Yea I could try doing it that way.

Eeeeek. I'm so nervous :( Is everyone on here trying right now on Clomid? I am not - if we conceive another boy I think this may be one of those things I'll regret not trying to get my hands on. B/c I have a slightly shorter LP I could have maybe pushed my doctor for it (and still might if we don't conceive after a few cycles), but since I successfully & quickly conceived both my boys w/ a 10 day LP I don't have any "evidence" yet that my LP has prevented me from getting pregnant.

If you can get your hands on it I'd go for it since they both sway pink, but others may chime in about icky side effects & there have been boys on these meds too so it's not a guarantee. Ahh - Yea I've read on this site that some docs are real quick to hand out the Clomid and others are very strict with it! The only time I brought up my short LP w/ my OBGYN he said that if it was an issue conceiving he'd try progesterone supplements first - I didn't really keep pushing the issue at that time. If we're not pregnant in a few cycles I WILL be calling him up and will at least ask for Clomid or Femara though! I would be a little worried about the multiples thing w/ Clomid though - we have twins on both sides of our family and I'm already "higher risk" due to past pregnancy complications/issues - so as much as I'd love twin girls I'd be terrified of a twin pregnancy!!

Congrats on getting pregnant!! How far along are you?

Just wear it Halley if you need to :) We don't know for sure that caused the high temp, its just a possibility that's all. Could just be a random spike which can happen without any explanation. Until we see a few more temps its just speculation and possible explanations but once you o we should see a sustained shift regardless. Or if that spike indicates o has occured without a peak lh surge (pos opk) then that will be clearer in a few days too. I don't think you've oed personally but that's just my gut feeling combined with the fact your opk is getting so close to positive. I've been wrong before though :) Just cant wait to see what happens over the next few days!!

Hi ladies, I'm back after taking a bit of a break. Was feeling really down after af came last time and then DH completely refused to continue ttc. Since then, things have improved a little and he has said he is 'thinking' about it again.. So we have ended up with one attempt on the day of ovulation I think. I seem to be getting positive opk on the same day as ovulation which seems a bit strange. Anyway, we will see.

Omg mummy2boys it's so good to hear from you!!! 😀😀😀 and what amazing news you bring!!! Look at that 1-o attempt unintentionally bang on time! Glad you weren't holding out for pos opk! Surely this meant to be and result in a bfp 💖

So close Halley!!!! That will be pos tomorrow for sure!! I know you're keen not to miss ovulation but if you're thinking of bding tonight can you hold off until morning instead? And then once you do a 1pm opk tomorrow (and its positive 😉) bd again tomorrow night? That gives you 48 hours since last bd (for good sperm recovery) and you'll have two attempts in already with the option of a third the following morning *if you's are up to it!

Awesome. Hubby is keen, I'm good with waiting till tomorrow my hips and pelvis are still sore. He wants to bd tomorrow night, next morning and that night and then two days after that.

Halley just a reminder that ovulation generally occurs 12-48 hours after pos opk and your opk is really close but not quite positive. Just trying to give you more incentive not to bd tonight 😉

Hi ABC, I also use the easy@home opk's and they have been super easy to use. I am on cycle one of Femara, have been TTC for months and my RE recommended it to me. I have 2 DD's, but swaying girl again. I must say that although I hear the side effects of clomid are stronger, Femara messed with my hormones quite a bit. I'm not an emotional person at all by nature, but it made me totally nuts. I'm of course only one data point, but I wanted to throw it out there.

Quick update...tried to BD last night but it was a mess. DH came home after a few drinks and couldn't perform (sorry, tmi....and lesson learned for ever telling your husband you got a positive opk lol). My DD also came down with strep somehow, so she was up a lot crying in between all of this. I took it as a sign that it wasn't meant to be. Should we try again tonight? My temp went up this morning, but I'm not sure if it's because I was up all last night upset that we weren't getting an attempt in. I am worried we wasted a medicated cycle and that kills me! My last BD was 2 nights ago and a quick J&D because DD woke up again. Aughhh swear I cannot win! [emoji24]
