TTC – we can coach you for temping, promise it’s actually pretty easy – and if nothing else, it will allow you to read the signs better – and confirm what the opk says ;)
And who knows if your 3 cycles don’t work (though am sure this one or the next will), your hubby may change his mind about trying longer – so knowing your body very well will always be a bonus regardless!
And your DH has forgotten protection before, so if O turns out to be delayed, you could still potentially get some BD in – don’t lose faith. Does he use condoms after attempt time? Or doe she think it is “safe” to go without?
I know you are deflated – and were so hopeful – my last cycle I was the same, heck I had lots of nausea that I now just think might have been my mind playing tricks on me because I wanted to be pregnant so bad but could have swore I was (1st cycle I don’t get that so was convinced it could only be because I had conceived)…
But I promise your mood will pick up again in a few days when you get excited for the next attempt – big hugs!

Ok, picking up the purple digis this arvo – since my cycle is about 29 days I will start on CD9 as per the CB table with FMU and continue on with ICs during the day..eeek!
My stepper arrived but can’t pick it up tonight so will not be able to get it until tomorrow – shoot – I guess my exercise tonight will have to be BD :D
After that , I plan on BD starting our eod plan as of Friday (CD8), so won’t be more than a weakish before attempt time – so excited! ^^

Yay for cb opks. I also used them with fmu and then continued with ICs for the rest of the day. Fx for a bfp this month. I also found doing it myself very hard but made sure to have a big O after BD. Specially after pos opk. [emoji12][emoji12]
Ttc - I agree with what Lolla, Ash and LMSM said. We are here to cheer each other and in for the good the bad and the ugly. Couldn't have said it any better. I know what you mean by saying that u r not bummed that af arrived. It's better to be silly in reading symptoms than having to constantly think that there is something wrong. Now let's get excited for the new cycle and please think about bbt. It really made a lot of sense to me. Don't want to push you though. U should do what you r comfortable doing. We are away this week.....being in the TWW means I can't have any wine, which sucks. I've also stopped the LE diet when I'm away....too hard and I want to enjoy my time. I'm 3dpo and no signs yet. My post O temp really isn't high at all, but this is my first time using vaginal temps, so maybe it's different for me. I've also been sleeping badly....Hopefully they go up over the next few days. I've been wondering if I did O, but the OPKs have defintely faded out. I'll probably test on CD9, which would be next Monday!

I like everyone's plan! I can't wait for your test Iwant4! I think testing at 9dpo is a good place to start!

I want to take a moment and say that TTCing is such an emotional roller coaster. It's SO hard when a BFP seems so ellusive- you want to give up but the strong feeling that there is someone you haven't met yet keeps you going. Even when DH's put up road blocks, we still keep on going. I will tell you it WILL work out. I'm not sure how, but I do know it will. Hang in there. We will all be here for you- no matter what it is you need.

Iwant4-yay for crosshairs! Your temp started out very low, so maybe lower post O temps are the norm for you when vag temping? What time do you temp?
Mommy-fx that was an implantation dip!! 🤞🏻How early do you plan on testing??
LMSM-excited for you to start the opks! My digi correlated nicely with my wondfos, but the smileys really helped confirm it! Fx this is all you need & you'll be on your way to a BFP!

Ttc-I agree with everything LMSM said!!! [emoji106] We are more than happy to help you figure out temping & charting! I never used it with my 1st 2 kiddos and was new to it until the lovely people here at GD helped me figure it all out! It's the coolest science experiment & helps you get in tune with your body signs. For some a temp drop gives the heads up that AF is about to arrive. Mine always dropped on the day of AF, so not much of warning. ...And those annoying squinters-so frustrating! It's very possible that you started to implant, but didn't stick for whatever reason. Pretty common & we wouldn't even know if it weren't for early testing...so that's def one of the drawbacks of early testing! For some, charting/temping causes more stress, so don't want that for you, but you may feel somewhat in control being about to track what's going on! Let us know if we can help if you decide you want to give it a try!!! Do you have a basal body thermometer?

Femera is going great, but I literally have NO side effects. I hope that's not a bad sign...could it possibly not be working on me? I'm 5mg on CD3-7 (day CD5 today).

Lmsm- Thank you so much! I'm still on the fence with temping. I may give it a shot because you're absolutely right, he plans to always use protection except for the 2 attempts, but sometimes he's had a few beers and doesn't care, or as you said, he stops using them after positive opk but usually we slack on bd after 2 attempts anyway. It goes from e4d to e5-7d, and then we pick back up with e4d when af arrives. Since I always get positives between cd13 and 16, I'm going to try to get him eod from CD8 until positive opk (and THEN use my 2 attempts) but just not tell him it's planned and he will just so happens to have "misplaced" his protection. Don't judge me.. :rofl:

Sky- Thank you. Do you think just trying to get a couple extra attempts before or after positive opk will have the same effect as if I were temping, or does it really make that much of a difference? I mean I'm sure if does or all you ladies wouldn't waste your time.. I just get really stressed and anxious especially when I'm trying something new that I don't know anything about. I'm afraid having another thing to worry about it might actually cause me not to conceive because I'm so stressed out. Is that even possible? Lol. No I don't have a bbt but I could easily pick one up before O. Or do I need to be temping now in order to have an accurate chart this cycle?

Lola: That makes sense, and something I was wondering but would rather not know or think about.. :( Do you think you ladies could give me the general guidelines of temping? Do you just temp once a day, vaginally, in the morning and when you get a higher or lower temp than normal you know that o has occurred? And the same thing happens at the end of your cycle as a warning that af is arriving?

Hi Everyone! I'm 11 dpo my temps dropped a little this morning, but I honestly didn't get a good night sleep. My son co-sleeps with me because he nurses, and he was all over me.. I tested this morning and I can see something, but I refuse to say it's positive because I've heard the blue dye test give really bad evap lines. I won't call it positive unless af doesn't show. I will retest later this week once I'm officially late :)3677336774

Max- that's awesome that you don't have any negative side effects. I hope it stays that way for you! I'm sure it doesn't mean it's "not working" or they would have made you aware of the possibility. I think you're just a lucky one. :) Excited to see what this cycle holds for you! :hh:

Lola - it went up a bit this morning. My initial 6 days or so were oral temps and then I switched.
It's great you have no side effects. I find the effects of clomid build up and even show once you stop taking them.

Afm: temp up a bit this morning! Going to the river on a paddlesteamer today and then we are taking the boys fishing for the first time ❤️

TtcBlue18 - I'm very hesitant maybe because I had that other false positive which I chop it up to human error. I also know af is right around the corner so I'm scared of thinking to much into it. Af is due this week FF says July 2nd, but I think def any day if she decides to show herself.. The test is more a squinter in person, but ughhh :( I think I will not test till Friday if I can be patient till then :)

Nacire- I wouldn't use the digi yet. I think those take quite a bit longer to turn positive so there's no need to let a possible "not pregnant" bring you down. I think waiting til Friday is a great plan (if you're only using the digital).. if you do cave rather soon, I would pick up some pink lines :) The other positive you had really confused me too! I don't know what to make of that. Although it's very rare, I have read that sometimes a faulty test can give a false positive. But I highly doubt it will happen this time :) :heart:

Hey ladies!

TTCblue – I am def not judging haha – at the end of the day, since HE doesn’t want another child, it’s his responsibility to ensure you can’t get pregnant (apart from when he has agreed to try that is)– up to him to stalk your cycle and understand it, and use protection when he thinks he needs to – sounds like he’s trying to be tough but is still pretty open to you falling pregnant regardless of attempt time or not – or he would be adamant to use protection or abstain religiously!
;)
For temping - in essence, you need to take your temperature vaginally (most accurate) – approximately at the same time every day, before getting up – and ideally with at least a full night sleep under your belt without getting up – but in practice, kids, needing to pee etc etc, if you can get 3-4 hours straight before temping that would be the minimum to get accurate readings.
You can start now but if you start by the time Af tapers down/stops is fine too – you do need at least a few days before O to be able to see the shift in temp ;)
You can input your data into Fertility Friend (a good complete tool even if you only use the free version – it has lots of tutorials about how to temp too) – I personally find that it is a great way to give me reassurance around our BD after O, combined with opks giving you the “heads-up” before O – buuut if you feel it is going to stress you out more than anything else, it’s not compulsory of course ;)
Our bodies can be confusing at times, regardless of how we track everything so it’s not bulletproof but it is a darn good tool nevertheless I think!

I really don’t think that is a squinter or an indent/evap – that has got colour, which indents or evaps don’t!

Boooh didn’t get BD in last night , we had to get up sooo much for DD1 – she in the last month has started having accidents at night again (I think this was #6 or so for the month!) – even though she has been night toilet trained since January without one single mishap…I don’t know if something is happening (she does seem to have nightmares often though) or the fact it is cold now and she is in deep sleep buried under her doona makes a difference…but she wakes us up way more than her sister (who has started going to the loo - #superproudmama).
Back onto the subject, lol, hope we can BD tonight but hubs will be home super late as he has a board meeting which means he usually is not back home until 9.30pm ish …hope he will be frisky enough haha
CD6 so I need a quickie tonight at least before we start on our eod regime as of Friday (Cd8) :P

Afm –the pharmacy I went to had the tests but for $50 – gah , might only have been an online special (and will be more expensive once I add in delivery and would be too late to get them for Saturday anyways)…ah well, will pick some up Friday at my usual pharmacy, they will be still relatively ok priced (I think like $38). Just in time for testing starting Saturday ^^

Ttc - Sorry took me long to reply. Wasn't home and no battery in ph. It's absolutely fine if you don't want to get a bbt. You should definitely not do it if it's going to add to the stress. I started trying with just opks but then I saw everyone's charts and I really wanted to see how bbt works that's y I bought it for my second cycle. I noticed my temp going up two days after pos opk which indicated that I ovulated and was fun to know. And then after 8-9 dpo of my temp dropped, I knew af was coming. So it kind of prepared me. The month I got a bfp, my temp took more than two days to jump so I added another attempt. I hope I am not confusing you. That said, I still feel if you are using digis, having good attempts after pos opk is the way to get bfp. I don't know if my sway worked or not but I came to know my body n cycle better. I always felt frustrated that O can happen in two days after pos opk so I felt better when my bbt confirmed and then didn't worry about adding more attempts. Let me know if You have any questions.

Oh it's okay!! :) I think I'm starting to understand it a little bit.. So is it safe to say it's probably more important to get extra attempts in after positive opk, rather than before? I always get a positive opk between cd13 and 16 so I was thinking I will continue e4d and then try to do eod leading up to cd13 until positive opk, then get the 2 attempts that dh will be counting, and then try for another 2 going eod following the 2 attempts incase I O late. What do you think?? I'm not sure if it will work sneaking around DH's restrictions, but I'm just going to throw out the condoms and let him think he misplaced them lol. He could pull out but idk if he will, all I can do is try. How long do you have to temp before you can figure out your pattern?

Ttc - I have read a lot here and Atomic recommends eod after af leaves town and 3 attempts at pos opk. One the night of pos opk then the next morning n that night. Honestly, we always struggled with the am attempt since I always got my pos on WE and dd used to wake up early on Saturday and Sunday. So we decided to do night of pos opk, the next night and then the next night which is not ideal but that's the best we could do. The cycle I conceived, we BD night of pos, the next night but couldn't do the next night so skip that and did the next one. To simplify,Got pos on Friday noon so we did Friday night, Saturday night no Sunday so did Monday night. And my temp went up Tuesday morning. Again I don't know if that worked for my sway but that's what got me bfp. We also didn't BD unprotected before pos opk as I was afraid to because I m silly and still stuck a little on the timing. I m not trying to ask you to do that for sure because all boy moms here say that plenty of sex is what got them their boys. It was just me who wasn't comfortable doing. Also,I made sure I got big O after every attempt and kept my legs up for 40 min atleast. I started temping in my second cycle and luckily my bbt arrived a day after af left town. But u can start as soon as u can even a few days before O and I temp Vaginally and it made so much sense once I Did. I also used fertility friend for charting. We r here to answer any question u may have incase u make up your mind to temp. FF is fun. I bought Mabis bbt for $12 on eBay. Let me know if you have any questions. Lmsm- Sorry I missed your post earlier. I don't know that it's possible for me to temp knowing that I need 3-4 hours of uninterrupted sleep each night before testing. My almost 2 year old still wakes up multiple times a night and most nights I end up falling asleep in her bed while trying to get her back to sleep. My almost 4 year old is petrified of the dark and won't go down the stairs alone to pee, so even with her going potty at bed time, I can always expect at least one awakening from her too. I usually get up around 5:30 or 6:30 and the prime times for them to wake up each night is between 3 and 4. I think it's best if I just let go of considering the temping, and try to get more attempts in instead.. Thank you so much for taking the time to tell me what I needed to know before making the decision. Very much appreciated!

Ash- Eeeekkkk!! I didn't know they made such a thing! Do you know what they're called?? Wouldn't sucking it up in a syringe damage the sperm?? Or do you think it wouldn't hurt to try? Right now I told dh he's not allowed to know when my 2 attempts are because he's not "into it" enough when he knows lol. He thinks I'm still stuck on the timing method so he's not afraid of me getting extra attempts in. I told him bd before positive opk sways girl so he doesn't think I'll let it happen.. ;) If he figures it out this cycle I may have to resort to the sperm friendly condoms!

Sky- I didn't know that, I thought e4d was sufficient.. That's what I'm going to do then! Eod starting NOW! Cd2 lol. At positive opk I will do that night, next morning (if I can, otherwise I might have to try for dh lunch break again) and that night.. Then I'll go back to eod and not tell dh my attempts are used until after I get a few days past. Poor guy has no idea about my cycle. Kinda makes me feel bad for sneaking, but I know he'll love another baby just as much as I would! :heart:

Nacire-that's def a clear line! I can understand you being hesitant, but that looks like a typical line on an 11dpo test like that (those are not as sensitive I believe). I'd love to see how a frer or wondfo would look!! I'm so hoping it continues to get darker!!!
Iwant4-that higher temp is looking good! You do look like you're in the 2WW yay!!!
Ttc-like the idea of the misplaced condoms trick haha!! [emoji12]So you're exactly right about temping. You temp first thing in the morning with a bbt, even before you get out of bed before a lot of movement. Vag temps are more accurate than oral. I thought the idea sounded weird, but it's really no biggie. The ladies here recommended it & it worked so much better for me. I'm a mouth breather at night which can impact temps. I have to admit though, as soon as I woke up, I went straight to the restroom with as little movement as possible & temped right away instead of still in bed-it worked for me! It's best if you can temp at the same time every morning, you'll see open circles on your ff chart when you don't. The earlier you temp, the lower your temp usually, I've read around 6AM is an ideal time. You'll see temps typically in the 97s before O and then in the 98s post O. You'll see that temp spike, confirming O. After 3 sustained high temps, ff will confirm O by giving you crosshairs. Your temp will stay up until AF is about to arrive or when it arrives...so the temp drop is a warning that AF will most likely arrive, especially if it goes below your coverline. So that's everything in a nutshell! Can't wait for pbn to return, b/c she is awesome at reading charts! We'd love to help you out here if you do want to try. I can certainly understand if you feel like it may just stress you out more though!

Ttc-I missed LMSM's post full of great temping info & just saw your response. It can be a challenge to temp with multiple wake-ups with little ones in the night. At least you have an idea now of how it works if you wanted to test it out.

Ttc – all very sound advice - all in all, I think you have to do what is realistic for you and what you feel comfortable with.
If you think doing e4d until you switch to eod at cd13 then do your 2 attempts at pos opk (which likely be soon after you go eod anyways) – is what is a realistic plan, then go for it. If you can’t do eod all cycle like seems to be the best of the best plan (and few of us with young kids especially can do eod all cycle long anyways if we have to add attempts on top of it), no need to stress over it – better off doing decent attempts than having DH not being able to perform when it’s show time ;)
You certainly don’t want to do your attempts too early of course, but given that you should ovulate at most 48h post pos opk, then if you can get your 2 attempts in in that 48h window, you’re sweet.
The extra unprotected BD after, if you can get it in, is just bonus in case you O late – and anyways, the second attempt after pos opk could cover it well even if O is delayed a bit and you can’t sneak in an extra attempt.

TTC – temping can still give you a good idea – I often have only 2hours ish of straight sleep between my getting up (seems we have the same challenges! Lol) and still was able to see the pattern! Up to you hon ;)

It just doesn't seem fair that not only my cycles are limited, but my attempts each cycle too. I deserve a little more than just 2 attempts i think! Ash- Thank you for that! I told dh we need to try for eod (which of course he doesn't mind, we just might miss a day here and there) but now my only problem is that he will know when my attempts are because no way will he go eod not pulling out. So I could really use those sperm friendly condoms to get things started before my attempts.. ;) I shouldn't have to worry about the extras after, he doesn't worry about it because I told him once the tests are negative the egg is gone and whatever will be, will be. Lmsm- Wow, okay it really doesn't seem too hard, so if there's a chance I can see the pattern in my chart even without the right sleep, I will get a bbt asap and start recording my temps. :) So the absolute soonest you can O is 48 hours after a positive opk?? Or did I read that wrong? When you're looking at attempts, is it 4 days prior to O and 1 day after that are considered within the fertile window? -4, -3, -2, -1, O, +1 is this correct? So if I bd any of those days it's an attempt right? Not just the ones following positive opk?

TTCblue - You can certainly try to temp – do your best – and see if you can pick up a pattern – if this cycle doesn’t give you a bfp, it will def give you some insight for the next cycle though (which is why we usually temp before starting ttc as it gives you that insight before show time) – like allowing you to confirm how long after the 1st pos opk you do actually seem to ovulate so you can focus your efforts accordingly :)
The latest usually will be 48hours after 1st positive opk (not earliest) and yep fertile window is usually considered 4 days prior to O and up to 1 day post (depending on when egg was actually released). Best conception chances sit in the -0-2 to 0-1 window though, I think, as an attempt on O day is giving less time to swimmers to capacitate and make it to the egg that is ready and viable for only 12 to max 24hours.
(And no way my hubby would believe me – but he understands biology very well – he has a scientific background – but enjoy your hubs’ ignorance in that it can help you – after all he has accepted to try to conceive, so he would be none the wiser ^^).

Lmsm, thanks a bunch! I will get a bbt tomorrow and start temping Thursday (hopefully).. that's what I thought about the opks. I must have just read it wrong in your post. So if I get him to do eod with 3 attempts following positive opk and then back to eod, it should look something like -4, -2, -1 (assuming positive opk is -1), O (am/pm), +1, +3..... or...... -3, -1 (assuming positive opk is -1), O (am/pm), +1, +3.. sorry if that looks like a bunch of jibberish you can't follow, I'm trying to plan out my bd in advance and cover all my bases. I'm not sure if dh really believes what I tell him or if he just doesn't want to argue, or if he figures I would know, or if he just doesn't think I would lie to him. Whatever the case may be, im just grateful for the added bonuses :) Now I just need to figure out how to get those 2-3 attempts before the positive opk without him knowing. Hmmmm...

TTC - I just wanted to chime in and say that I had horrible sleep patterns as DS4 was still nursing and in bed with us. I would get up and temp in the bathroom. I still was able to see my temp shift and detect O every month. So it is still possible to get it done and chart. I can help you chart as well since I have been charting off and on since 2004.

And temp every morning before I get out of bed.. unless I'm in my daughters room, then I'll go right next door to my own room with as little movement as possible.. and then I just enter my temps into fertilityfriend? And you all will help me learn to read the chart? Cause I have no idea... also how do I temp vaginally? Like how far are you supposed to put the bbt in? Ttc - Temping after af is gone is a good idea and you enter it on ff and if u enter later then u can change the time to when u actually took it. Try to take it at the same time everyday. U also update your CM, pos opk, BD etc. You will see all the options there. And then it's so much fun to look at your chart. These wonderful ladies will help u understand your chart and u will
Know so much about your body and cycle. Also, you can add your ff chart to your signature like a lot of us. That way we can stalk/look [emoji12][emoji12]at your chart.

Ttc-as far as vag temping, it's really easy just sounds strange. You just stick it in, take temp & wipe it off with an alchol wipe. If I remember correctly, pbn always said about a knuckles length. My bbt id skinny & then widens. I stuck it in until I reached the wider part. We'd LOVE to help you read your chart yay!

She makes my blood boil. Last pregnancy I didn’t include her in anything, because right after announcing literly I couldn’t even finish the announcement she cut me off and said Watch it be another boy :( So when we found out we kept it to ourselves and never told anyone. On FB after the birth we only said we added another little baby and everyone said they hope it’s a girl :( Oh and a friend sent me a birthday box a few weeks ago and in it was a shirt that says BOYMOM. In big bold blue letters. I hate it! I’m grateful for the gift and I know she meant well. She doesn’t even know we were ttc.

Ash, a girl would fit in just fine with 4 boys.I grew up with 4 brothers who were extremely protective and loving and taught me how to handle my own when they weren't around. I always wanted a sister, and by the time I got her we are 10 years apart. Me and my brothers are inseparable and my sister is more like a little cousin I don't have much in common with. A girl would fit wonderfully into your beautiful family.

Naci- I understand completely. People already make comments about how we can have all the kids we want but dh is only capable of making girls, and we only have 2, not 4 or 5. We've decided that if we conceive, we won't be telling anyone about the baby at all until we know the gender. "Say hello to baby (insert name here), joining us in (month)." That's how we would announce it ha. And they're lucky they get that much lol.

Sky- I got the app for fertilityfriend but mine doesn't look like a chart, it's a calendar.. I put in my af and opk info from this month and last, and it's predicting O on cd13 this time. Should I use my 2 attempts on cd11 and 12? And then try to get some extra in on 13/14? What do you think? I'm assuming temping won't be of much help for this cycle, but would like to start after af so I can use the info for next cycle.

Right! I lost 100 pounds after my 2nd daughter was born and most people didn't say good job or anything along those lines. Most said, "You're too skinny" or accused me of starving myself or doing drugs. Which was extra offensive because I was still nursing. But one person also said to me, "Losing weight is easy, it's keeping it off that's hard" So I decided I'll just let them all think I'm starting to gain the weight back if I get pregnant haha. If only I can catch the egg now.

Definitely dont believe you oed on cd14 at all and cant believe ff put your dotted crosshairs there 😩 I'm going to hope and guess you oed early hours of cd16 and caught your temp rise in its way up! That would also make sense with the fallback rise on cd18 :) So what dpo are you planning on testing?

As Lola mentioned when I first started temping vaginally I inserted the bbt alongside my finger to about the middle knuckle a few times before actually properly starting to get the feel of it (think I used to say first knuckle but that's confusing as depends if you counting from the bottom or top of finger 😂) your aiming to ensure the tip is completely covered but don't want to go sticking it in your cervix either 😂 have a few practice runs during the day to familiarise yourself with it and then you'll be good to go! Also as Sky mentioned its a good idea to fill in the other options as well :) For cm I used to check internally and started generally when starting opks. Just insert your middle finger as high as you can or until your feel cervix then remove and check what type of cm. If you do this you'll also start to see a difference in height and texture of cervix as well :)
So as for sneaking in an extra attempt! Dh has said two attempts right? Well I'd still aim for first bd night of pos opk then maybe try and warm him up manually 😉 to a following morning bd if possible? Don't say anything at all about it, just see if you can get his engine going as he wakes up. Then try again that night without talking about it. It cant hurt to try.......

As for me I had my nipt blood draw done on Monday but have opted for the full screening which means my sample will have to go to the US so will be a few weeks until results I imagine. I've had no further spotting but in the days following had some awful cramping and sharp pains that would stop me in my tracks. I've been convinced this past week I'm going to miscarry but thankfully the cramping has eased up over the last day or so. I have a scan on Tuesday so if I'm still pregnant by then I'm hoping bub still has a heartbeat and I can relax a little until my nipt results come back. My ob appt is on the Thursday two days after scan but my results from nipt wont be in by then :(

So has mummy2boys or shinay been in to update?

Mommy2apples if its affordable I'd also say that the cb dual hormone digi opks (the ones that use fmu) may be perfect for you.... they work on testing dual hormones (lh and estrogen) and this may make the difference with you. I'd use alongside your dip tests.

Iwant4kids my hubby is worried about our ages (me 39 and nearly 46 for him) plus with our scare this last week and also because we found out his cousin had a t18 scare. She had to wait to 28 weeks to confirm either way which would have been absolutely dreadful 😢 previous scans had shown excess fluid and measurements that pointed to it. Thankfully the scan on Monday gave her the all clear... so even though the general nipt tests for t18 my hubby wanted to be tested for the rarer genetic conditions as he's read the risk increases significantly with age.

Ok so onto your opks. That 7pm one fresh is really close but not fully pos? Was the 1pm darker fresh?

Pbn, Thank you! I must have missed the post where Lola explained how far to put it in. The reason I was thinking to use my 2 attempts on cd11(pm) and cd12(pm) is because (Isn't that what most pregnancies result from, O-1 and O-2?) DH stops using protection after my 2 attempts, so then I can try to get a third attempt in sometime on cd13 (that dh won't realize is an attempt) which is when fertilityfriend has my O marked, at cd13.. If he won't do cd13, eod will still land us on cd14 (so that would mean late O should be covered right?)... What I'm aiming for is O-2, O-1, hopefully O day (maybe not), and then O+1 or O+2 to cover late O. I think I can pull that off without dh catching on. Or do you think it would be better to just do night of positive and following morning? I just want to do what will maximize my chances of conception this month, even if I only get the 2 attempts.
I'm so glad the bleeding has stopped and that you and baby are doing okay. Of course you will still be pregnant. Little baby will be strong as ever, I just know it. :) Enjoy your day, Im so glad your popping in to check on all of us and help with everything. Hugs! :heart:

So decided on July 4th I'll be 10dpo give or take and I'll test that day, because that would be so awesome get a positive test. That's when Brad officially asked me to be his gf many years ago. So would be a perfect day to get a positive test! Fx and then if nothing, I'll see if af arrives by the 8th and if not I'll test again. I've literally never have gotten a positive test until day period is due.

Not sure ttc. I just know with my boys I gained weight before I conceived them so that's definitely in your favor! We had intercourse all month long with them too, but I did with all mine even my girl. Didn't gain weight before conceiving her though. I ate junk and snacked with all of them though and no exercise.

Nacire – I think I can confirm my congrats – woohoo! :D you are mightily fertile, especially for a breastfeeding and girl swaying lady – well done you!
So when does this get your due date, early March? (do you go by 40 weeks from LMP in the US too?)
That’s exactly how I feel in the early days -like carrying a little treasure secret – you want to shout it to the world but it almost feels cheeky walking around and people don’t know you are PREGNANT – ‘like, people, I am carrying a BABY IN ME!’ :D
How sweet is your Dh – so cute he is excited – and you don’t have to tell your MIL until you want to – heck let her guess on her own if she sees a bump! :P
Telling husband stories - that is one thing I loooove hearing about (yes, am bit “anything baby related obsessed” – I started watching some newer episodes of One born every minute – and just bawl my eyes, DH just looks at me like “why do you do this to yourself?!” but they are happy tears at the miracle of life! lol)

Ash – OMG – who made that comment to you?? That is just plain rude and inconsiderate – what if you actually wanted another boy?
(plus I never heard of a weighted blanket – what is it?!)
Like Naci, I would have booted her pronto – but if she is helping fund the stroller well, she can stay just that biiit longer – but then after that seriously get rid of her – be ruthless! lol

TTCblue – that’s a lot of BD planned – and if you can do it, I say go for it! The only unknown is your DH – so if you think this is the “safest” way of getting in your attempts I think that really will be the best for you – what CD do you usually start your opks? Just to make sure you don’t O early, maybe start at CD 9 ish? To cover all your bases! ;)
The FF chart will only show once you have temps input – that’s normal hon – until then it will just have lines of boxes with your symptoms /BD ^^
Lola already explained re vag temping so hope that is enough for you to get started! ^^
We never told people the gender of our babies until birth – and may not this time around either – people comment enough without knowing the gender :P

I was going to get the pink CB digi opks just to confirm O but couldn’t find them anywhere so will get a box of the purple ones – and yes will go to Chemist Warehouse, plus just saw they have a sale with -25% of all CB until next week (scooore!) so will go there on Friday and pick up a stash :P

Sky – worry not, we got some BD in last night hehe (so far, we have BD on CD3 & CD6 to help keep those swimmers healthy etc).
Tonight will be exercise via the stepper and tomorrow Friday being CD8 will begin our eod – so will BD tomorrow night, Sunday and so forth until we hit fertile window time & (hopefully) 3 attempts ^^

Kat – woohooo- congrats hon for the ONE healthy bub hehe 10th of Feb – you could have bub 3 days before and it’d be on my Bday – so I hope you make an effort and have that bub on that day to make my day :P :rofl: excited much? Eeek!

My original plan was to wait until we know gender to tell fam/friends, but I keep going back & forth with maybe telling some family on July 4th. I dread the comments though, so I was hoping to already know gender to make me feel like I have some control! I was at a family get together about a month ago & the question came up if we wanted more babies. They don't know that we're swaying or even ttc. My brother said thinking he was funny "you know you can't control gender, it's impossible." Oooh, that got to me & makes me feel like I have to prove everyone wrong now! Ttcblue we don't know you'll o again on cd13 so I wouldn't start any bding until night of pos opk. I just recommended the usual blue sway bd's which is night of pos opk, following morning and night BUT you have to do what works for you. So if that means bding 2 to 3 x pm in a row starting at pos opk then that's great! We still don't know if you are oing day after or two days after pos opk because you haven't been temping. I would strongly advise against using any of your attempts prior to pos opk for this very reason 😊 Speaking of opks what ones do you use again? Dip tests from memory? And do you only get the one day of pos or do you get an initial pos (test line as dark as control, considered first definate positive) followed the next day by a super positive (test line significantly darker than test line) before it fades out? Not that it matters as you should always count your first pos opk as your positive but just interesting to know because we are all so different :)

TTC - it's not too late to start temping. I started on CD 15 and Oed on CD 18 last month. Are you using opks? If so, I'd bd at 1st positive opk and the day after! Do not rely on FF to give you an O date with no other factors.

Oh I know it's not too late, I'm going to start temping right after af is gone. :)
I just don't know that it will help me much this time being my first cycle temping and it can't tell me anything until after I've used my 2 attempts..

I just don't know that it will help me much this time being my first cycle temping and it can't tell me anything until after I've used my 2 attempts.. The first cycle I had after mirena was wacky, and then my cycles became exactly 25 days after that, with positives always on cd12 or 13. (The only time I got a positive on cd16 was the first cycle after mirena) so I feel pretty confident that ff is right. I would just really like to get O-2 and O-1 (day of positive opk) but of course I know there's no way to know for sure what O-2 is.. I was thinking if I bd on what ff is suggesting is O-2 and then if I do not get a positive the next day, I could just skip it and bd the next day.. Either way wouldn't O-2 & O-1 or O-3 & O-1 be better than O-1 and O? Since pregnancy rates are said to be highest the 2 days prior to O (and O-3 still has higher % than O day)? It's not that I don't believe you, it's just that I don't know if I fully understand. I had O-3, O-1 and O day attempts last cycle and felt pretty confident about it, but still didn't catch the egg :/

I know I sorry, I'm just getting super into it because I'm down to 2 cycles and need this to happen.. So just to be clear, you think I should try for the plan I shared, or just do positive opk and morning after, that will likely be O-1 and O? You did the one attempt, LE, breastfeeding – that will likely sway much more as you impacted your condition and that of the swimmers doing what you did – so you have a great chance of pink my dear! ;)
Oh and if you watch the show, be ready to cry – I know I always do :rofl: I am such a sucker for anything baby or birth related – I swear if I wasn’t squeamish with blood etc I would so train to be a midwife – I get such a high from seeing babies being born, truly is amazing (verrryyy different to my current career lol)….

Mommy2apples- Thank you, ive been racking my brain the last several hours trying to see which days combined will give me the best shot of conceiving, and I think I'm going to throw the condoms out, bd eod, use the 2 attempts dh knows about at positive opk and following morning, and then continue with eod.. that would give me 4 attempts if ff has o right, and 3 attempts if o is 1 day late or one day early. I'm very excited about this month, feeling good about it! :bluecheer: Would be so nice if we could both get our Bfps this cycle!!

Good morning ladies! I'm sorry that I've taken a brief break from the boards...I've had to sort out some things lately and just trying to gain some clarity. I need your help and opinions please...and I'm sorry to jump on here without being fully caught up on everyone else, but I will do that today after kids are off to camp and I have some time to catch up.

The last few days I've done a 180 and starting to doubt this process for myself. I feel so incredibly lucky where I am in life right now with DH (our marriage is stronger now than it ever has been) and I have two beautiful, smart, healthy daughters. I have started having doubts that maybe I haven't gotten pregnant because it wasn't meant to be for us. I'm worried as I take my last two Femera pills today that I'm pushing something that isn't supposed to be, if that makes sense. I'm worried about birth defects, I'm worried about our family dynamic changing, and just everything. I don't know if Femera is messing with me (Lord knows I spoke too soon about no side effects because I had major moodiness yesterday), but I can't stop second guessing myself. I'm mostly worried about birth defects....DH is on an SSRI, and now with Femera for me, could that affect sperm quality, egg quality, etc.?

Is it just me, or have any of you gone through these emotions?

I'll check back this morning after I get the girls settled for camp and catch up on everyone else. XO

Maxim great to hear from you! And my god I could've written what you have several times these past couple years, especially after each mc, I often felt it was my punishment for pushing for something I should have left well alone at my age.... in a few days time you'll do another 180 I predict and feel fully on board and confident again. You'll likely go up and down several times throughout your cycle. Just gotta go along for the ride for now. Can you talk your feelings through with dh and get his perspective? You two seem so close and appear to have a beautiful marriage that someone like me could only dream of!

I don't know whether dh being on an SSRI can cause birth defects? I thought it was moreso what medication a woman was on? Can you ring and ask your ob his/her opinion?

What I will say is don't make any decisions just yet. You have time to work through your feelings and putting pressure on yourself to come to a decision now will only make things worse and is really not necessary yet :) Give yourself a few days (well 4 or 5 at least) and see how you're feeling then xxoo. Also perhaps instead of feeling like its not happening because its not meant to be, why not long at it as 'good things come to those who wait' or your body is waiting for the perfect healthy egg to come along (which WILL be this cycle 👊)

Max: I go through this mental debate just about every other day. I feel selfish for wanting a baby and pushing it when I know dh doesn't. Some days i wonder if he's right, if our family is perfect the way it is and another child will only add stress that we don't really have right now. I think, for one reason or another, everyone has these thoughts. For some maybe it's just because the process is taking too long and they feel like God must not want them to have it. Whatever the reason is, I think it's completely normal. I can't tell you much about the birth defects risks, because I really don't know, but I would think that if it was a possibility, it would make most sense that the sperm with abnormalities would be excluded by natural selection and never make it to the egg. And with femera, did they say that could happen when they prescribed it to you? If it can cause abnormalities in the egg, that's something they would (or should) have told you. It doesn't make much sense to me that something designed to help you conceive could potentially harm the baby. I think you should take time to think and talk to dh, but I would say this is probably a side effect of the femera because the change of mind was just so sudden and out of blue. There's absolutely nothing selfish about wanting to give your daughters another baby to grow with. Like Pbn said, I would rather see it as all good things to those who wait. Just take it one day at a time, don't give up yet. This could be the cycle! :heart:

Mommy- Thank you! I sure hope it works. I would like to get eod leading up to O but worst comes to worst I'll just get 2 at O and eod after. DH just needs to get over it. It's hard enough to get pregnant without throwing in the extra hurdles! I feel like limiting cycles is enough for him to get his way (no baby) so I shouldn't feel bad about sabotaging his "birth control" right?

Just stupid symptoms that could be pms related too, metallic taste in mouth, tender breast, bloating, cramping in my left pelvic, increased appetite, frequent urination, a little faint. Who knows. Lol will chalk it up as pms for now.

All the symptoms I was having for the past weeks are mellowing out. Only thing left is zero appetite, my hips and back hurt more so at night. In past pregnancies my morning sickness normally hits around 6-8 weeks.. I'm hoping this time it spares me lol

I've always been lucky with the morning sickness. Never had it with my first and only felt nauseous every now and then with my 2nd. Now watch, if I do get pregnant again I'll be throwing up the whole time. Sure hope it's easy on you Nacire!

Max-I'm so sorry for what you're going through & so glad you're sharing your feelings with all of us here! A lot of people IRL just don't get it! I know what you mean. It did take a while for me to conceive #3 and while I'm so grateful, I do have random thoughts about having a family of 5. We won't even fit into my car, I'll have to get a new one & will someone always be left out?? I agree with pbn, not to rush to any final decisions right away. Sleep on it a few nights! Love pbn's statement of "good things come to those who wait." I fully agree, the sweetest little baby that's meant to be yours is just waiting on the right time. One thing to consider in making your decision-will you have regrets? I felt like if I didn't have #3, I would always wonder if we'd have a girl and not just gender-, I'd always wonder what baby #3 would be like...one more chance at being pregnant and trying to enjoy & embrace it all!!! [emoji173]

Lola: I wanted to say that too but was a bit rushed this morning. Thanks for reminding me :)

Max: I start to think about how I won't be able to hold 3 on my lap, or hold each ones hand at the same time (all the typical things you can do with 2 and not 3). Then dh talks about how I can't fit 3 car seats in my jeep and we can't each grab a kid and hop on a 4wheeler if there's 3. But I know that if I wasn't to do this, I would always regret it. Not only because I would always wonder if I could have gotten my boy, but because I would always wonder what life would have been like if I'd had 1 more to love. I'm a firm believed in "the more the merrier" There's no such thing as too much love. :) My girls love seeing babies on TV and they beg me for a baby, I think that's a big part of it.
But also you have to take into consideration the ages of your babies. Theyre pretty close in age. Will you be one of those people glad to have the house back to yourself when they grow up and move out within a few years of each other? Or will you mourn the empty nest? It wouldn't be empty all at once if you bring another little one into the family. I think everyone worries about 1 child being left out, but the reality is that doesn't happen. Coming from a family of 4 brothers and 1 sister I can tell you I love all my siblings equally, our relationships just vary depending on age. My brothers are my best friends because I grew up with them. The older 2 helped raise me, I helped raise the younger 2. They were all very protective of me and my sister. With my sister, it's a little different, but I wouldn't trade if for the world. Being 10 years younger than me, and I moved out at 16, so I was only in the same household for the first 6 years. When she went to kindergarten I left home. When she was 8, i married my hubby and she was my maid of honnor. When she was 9, I made her an aunt. But it's wonderful. She's so close with my children. Different is not bad. Different is beautiful.

Sorry for the super long message, I just thought I might be able to show you a different perspective to some of your concerns :)

Max!! I know you want this baby. I'm feeling all the feels too - wondering what was I thinking, was this a rash decision, should we have reevaluated more. But, then I tell myself for 3 years we have waived back and forth and I just can't see regretting having another child to love. My husband, who wasn't even fully on board, is more excited than me! Cried upon hearing the heartbeat. Am I going to be more stretched, spread thin, tired, yes, but I 99% ([emoji12]) feel it will be worth it and I know you will too. I freak out more about what if something happens to us or me, can family/husband handle 3?? But, I refused to not try for another baby out of fear! And now that I'm in the heat of morning sickness, I still question this decision, but when I picture that end goal, the baby, my heart skips a beat!! PM if you want to talk more!

Mommy, unfortunately mine will all be 2 years apart from each other so my nest will be empty very suddenly :( Either a 2 year time span or a 4 year time span (if I get another baby in the next 2 months).. Maxim - Sorry to hear that you're feeling this way. I think it's totally normal when you're making a decision that impacts on everyone, not only yourself. I think clomid/femera really emphasises your hormonal feelings too- well it does for me; anger, anxiety, emotional and also interrupts my sleep. I hope you feel more at ease once you stop them. My DH is on SSRI tabs too. He had a sperm test with our first (prior to SSRI) and sperm test came back great! He also had one this year and it was great too, so hopefully that reassures you.

Nacire - LOVE your tests! Congrats lovely! Hope the MS stays away

We built a house last year and moved in just before Xmas, so I still feel like we are not completely organised. Plus now we know where we want to keep everything etc. I will also get to sort out the 'nursery' as everything gets dumped in there.

Hi everyone! Just wanted to update! There was 1 baby with a heartbeat today, measuring perfectly & dd still Feb 12th! I go back in 2 weeks for genetics/MaterniT21. I was too excited & went ahead & told some close family. They were all happy for me, but comments were as expected: "my money is on another boy" "Hope it's a girl" "saving my girl clothes for you." I'm wondering if I should've waited like my original plan, but oh well. Maybe just maybe I can come back with exciting news of "it's a girl." Otherwise, they will all joke....

Sky: Thank you, that's what my plan is :) I'm going to try to do eod, use my two attempts night of positive opk and following morning (might be able to get pm too but not counting on it) and then returning to eod. I know I can pull it all off except eod unprotected before attempts.. I told dh he's not allowed to know when I'm using the attempts because he's not "into it" when he knows. But really I'm just trying to sneak extra bd attempts past him. He doesn't expect me to do that because he thinks I'm worried about shettler's (is that how is spelled?) timing method. So I think I'm good to go this cycle. My only concern is that he's definitely going to realize what I did after its done and if I don't catch the egg this cycle he might not give me my 3rd cycle since I'm cheating on our deal. So I'm taking full advantage of this plan and hoping for the best.

Pbn: Thanks! I was wondering how to do that. I'll do it later this afternoon when my kiddos are napping, right now I just hopped on to check in before grocery shopping and taking them to the park :)
Oh and idk when af will leave. Usually about 5 days but every now and then I have light bleeding that lasts until cd8. I'm currently on cd5 so hopefully soon!

IW4K: That's very true, my 1st was 2 weeks "early" (but she weighed 9lbs 0oz so I think they had her due date wrong) and my 2nd was 2 weeks late, ended up being 10lbs 0oz.. Here's to hoping a 3rd won't be 11lbs! But if I did have a baby on April Fools it wouldn't matter because we never announce the births of our babies until a day after. We like to be selfish and suck up the time and enjoy the first day before others come to visit. :)

Oh gosh that would be great if anyone had an idea?? He will know when the attempts are because it will mean bd 3 days in a row, when our pattern is otherwise eod. So he will know I got more than 2 attempts in the fertile window.. That's like the only thing he does know: that if you bd 4 days before O the sperm can survive to get the egg. He doesn't know much else about cycles and such. Right now I'm just planning to play it off like "I didn't know until i got +opk because ff had my fertile window wrong" lol.
