Maxim I'd try for an attempt tonight or as soon as is doable anyway especially with your last attempt being j&d. How long had passed when you j&d? It may or may not be too late, you may or may not have swimmers from last bd. It's out of your control now but you can get that bd in and still have a chance! It sucks when things don't go to plan and my heart goes out to you but I will say the cycles we think 'no way in hell could I get a bfp from this' often are the ones that do ❤ I know you must be upset but try and accept it for what it is and look forward, don't dwell on things that cant be changed. So much love and positive vibes your way xxoo

Thanks pbn! Appreciate you more than you know. ❤️ Girls are awake in bed with us now, so no BD until tonight unfortunately. I'm having cramps and bloating so sure I'm close to O now. So my life!! [emoji51]

I had to J&D after 2 mins or so since DD was up crying. Not sure that is enough time to do anything really right?

No way to know maxim 😕 that's a pretty quick j&d though. In saying that it's definitely plausible and probable that some got up there high enough to defy gravity 😉 and if people can get pregnant from pull out method then I would say there's still a chance, not a fantastic one but a chance nonetheless :) Your cramping and bloating is a good sign and hopefully a bd tonight will up your odds some! You may experience o pains now but not release an egg until later tonight, early hours of the morning (so wish we could see what's going on inside our bodies 😩) so it's definitely worth a go!! Oh and promise you'll make dh get up if needed! He can bring dd into you of required! Stay planked as long as possible!!!

Pbn3 - Missed the pathology today, but I found one open tomorrow. Almost ready to join the due in group!

Mommy - Great news for your sister!
So sorry that AF came :( But great news about the new cycle that's going to be the one. I love your pattern....I believe in things like that too.

TTC Blue - Great news that DH is coming around and also being so trusting hehe :)

Max - Wohooooo! So excited for you! All that relaxing and femera are doing their thing.
Sorry to hear your attempt didn't go well. SSRI medication makes it harder for DH to perform, so maybe this impacts on your DH too? ....can take quite a while to get the result! LOL

ABC - Welcome! Sounds like you're ready to go and catch that egg :) Have you got a FF chart to share? If you really want medication just say you've been trying for 6 months already with no luck.

LMSM - Yay for temp rise :) Any signs? Sorry to hear that it took you so long for your DDs xo

Lola - Thank you! I'll definitely let you all know how the appointment goes. I'll only be 5 weeks, so I'm not sure he will see anything on his scanner in the room. Yeah I'll post my not so great sway once I know all is going okay.

Butterfly - Welcome! Hope this is the cycle. Do you have any other children?

Mummy2boys - Welcome back! Thanks for the congrats. Glad DH is coming around and great news about one attempt! FX

Halley - Yay for almost positive OPK! Sounds like you'll catch that egg.

AFM - I did a digital today and got a Yes. I felt sad knowing it was my last FRER, so what did I do? Buy 7 more LOL! I'll feel better after another week of tests and then I'll relax a bit more I hope.
Car is sold and picked up! Yay! Looked at a couple today but didn't like them. Hoping the one I see tomorrow is the one.

Pbn: I need your help with something please :)

I originally thought that for ff I should only enter af and +opk for the months after starting he diet, because once I started my cycles cut down to 25 days. But, there was 1 cycle (2nd cycle after mirena removal, the cycle before I started he diet) that was 27 days. So my cycles look like this:
March=25 days (I've been told the first cycle after mirena is short and then it gradually lengthens back to normal)
April=27 days (I took this as it was gradually getting back up to my regular 28 day cycle)
May=25 days (first cycle on he diet)
June=25 days (second cycle on he diet)
So I felt it would be more accurate to exclude the months of March and April. What do you think? Should I use everything I've recorded, or start with May?

Halley hopefully this is the big o! 🤞
Mummy missed you!! Fx and prayers this is definitely your cycle! So glad hubby decided to give in!!
Thanks girl!
Aww Max! Hugs. Definitely a mess!! Definitely try your attempt tonight!

Iw4k: I love that you don't think I'm crazy! I believe we all have patterns, just hard to figure them out for sure! The lord always gives us some type of pattern.
Eek girl!! I'm so excited for you! You don't even know!! Haha love the buying 7 more tests!! So glad for your car being sold! Hopefully you'll find another one soon!

As for me: Well our van broke down, think it's the transmission! Ugh! Bad luck all around with vehicles! Hopefully the guy will strap it to our bill, or there is no way we will be able to afford it.

Well ladies, they only gave me 5 of my clomid and told me to call back Monday at noon so I can see if they have the other 5 in... I guess it is a sign @pbn I'm going to take the 5 this cycle and hopefully I won't even need the 5 next cycle. Scared of what if they don't get anymore in next week and then I run out of the 5 too fast if I take two at a time. [emoji19]

I *try* to keep up with you and Mommy and LSMS, can't wait for y'all to get BFP! I'm so glad you took some time away and I'm so jealous y'all have a beach place! Max I'm so freaking happy you got an attempt in during the AM 😀😀😀 fx so tight for you!!!!! Best news to wake up to!

Mommy2apples are you taking 50mg or 100mg of clomid? When I referred to only having 5 as a sign I was thinking 50mg wise 😕 You'll be starting tomorrow so I think you'll have to only take 50mg this cycle regardless unless they can gaurantee they will have the other 5 in... surely they can source them from another branch or something!

Ttc max had an attempt 2 ago but had to j&d after just two minutes. In regards to your ff question I'd enter it all. If you're referring to the fertile days etc calculations then it will take these into account but being they were so similar anyway I don't tuunk it'd change much anyway :) I see your temp is level today! How are your opks looking? Can you post a pic?

ABC most of us use the ff phone app free version! Definitely worth downloading and then you can share your chart with us 😀 (rubs hands together 😉)

Halley cannot wait to see your opk today!!! It's so going to be positive! I'll be clock watching 🕛👀 Interesting to see another temp in yesterdays range🤔 I'm excited to see if you get another clear shift in two mornings time! (If you get a pos opk today and o tomorrow then we should see a rise on Tuesday)

Mommy2apples sorry to hear about the car troubles! Hope its something minor and not major!

LMSM halfway to test test time! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Hi and welcome butterfly! Sorry to hear you've been at it so long 🙁 Have the nine cycles all been one attempt? Are you temping/charting? How long are your cycles and when what cd's are you generally getting a pos opk?

Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

Some months are one attempt and some have been 2-4 days of bd 2-3 days before ovulation.. I have two boys which were both conceived within two months of TTC,, I would always BD when I got my smiley OPKs.. I have not done that method since it resulted in boys both times. But the TTC a girl seems to be taking me a really long time ! Oh and I usually ovulate anywhere from cycle day 12-15...

Mommy2apples that's what I thought 🤔 so you're still going to take the 100mg? If they don't get them in that means you'll only have 2.5 days on clomid.... would it be better to do 50mg and have the 5 days? Or will it not matter as you'll be taking the same dose just over a different period of days?? @xxforhubby what would you do? I don't know enough about this....

Edited: xxforhubby in case this tags you, its all good, M2A is taking 50mg over 5 days :)

Are you temping to confirm when o is actually happening butterfly or going by o being day after pos opk? So your boys were conceived with one attempt at pos opk? Did you have a HE lifestyle when you conceived your boys? Have you been doing the LE diet this time around? Sorry for all the questions 😮 just trying to get some background info :) You said yesterday you're in the 2ww? What dpo are you and when will you test 😀

Max I'm so freaking happy you got an attempt in during the AM fx so tight for you!!!!! Best news to wake up to!

Mommy2apples are you taking 50mg or 100mg of clomid? When I referred to only having 5 as a sign I was thinking 50mg wise You'll be starting tomorrow so I think you'll have to only take 50mg this cycle regardless unless they can gaurantee they will have the other 5 in... surely they can source them from another branch or something!

Definitely worth downloading and then you can share your chart with us (rubs hands together )

Halley cannot wait to see your opk today!!! It's so going to be positive! I'll be clock watching Interesting to see another temp in yesterdays range I'm excited to see if you get another clear shift in two mornings time! (If you get a pos opk today and o tomorrow then we should see a rise on Tuesday)

Mommy2apples sorry to hear about the car troubles! Hope its something minor and not major!

That will be the most exciting announcement 😀 Of course they'll probably just be 'yep ok' 😂 but I'm hoping and thinking they'll be quite excited! My youngest LOVES babies and my oldest is fascinated with knowing how babies (and himself) were made. I've told him that mummy has an egg and daddy has a seed and when the egg and seed meet they grow a baby. Unfortunately he's too switched on and keeps asking more questions that I try and head off by changing the subject 😂😂

Pbn- I only have 1 opk left and im going to use it on CD 14 because that's when I got positives the last 2 months (even though 2 months ago I didnt ovulate, idk why it was positive.) DH doesn't want me to buy more OPKs because he thinks its all getting my hopes up. I will go for bloodwork on CD 21 to check progesterone levels.
So far, dh is not wanting to stick to e3d. We BD last night (CD 10) so I'm going to try to make him wait until Monday (CD 13) to BD again.. wish me luck!

Good luck! And hopefully dh will come around to the e3d idea. Just try your best to dissuade him from like 4-5 attempts in a row. If need be have him google how to get pregnant quickly and he'll see for himself that eod in fertile window is best and not every.single.day 😉 That may at least head off the daily bds but then if he insists on eod that sways blue 🤔.... or see if he'll come to a compromise that you do bding your way this cycle and if that doesn't work, his way next cycle?

Can understand your excitement at the prospect of telling your boys !!
My DD1 yesterday, out of the blue, told her dad, talking about me "I want you to have another baby when I am a kid, please I want a baby brother "...
and said she didn't want a baby when a adult herself because if they cut the tummy, she didn't want it, sô had to reiterate that it was her choice d it was not the most usual way of getting a baby out so she needn't worry herself about it ..and then she wanted to see how babies grow inside the tummy so Youtubed a vid of egg meeting swimmer all the way to fully grown fetus....she fortunately has not asked how the daddy cell and mummy cell meet in the mummy's body..yet

I was just about to post a pic....

This was just now. Looks like tomorrow will be positive! I bd yesterday around 2pm, should I bd again tonight?? Because if I get a positive tomorrow (assuming o will be day after) then tonight would be o-2 and according to the stats I've read, that's the most likely day to result in pregnancy.. right?? If I bd tonight then I will do tomorrow night and following morning/night as well.. what do you think is my best chances??

Edited to add: Also after I added March and April to ff, it changed o day to cd15, which would be correct if I get a +opk tomorrow and o the following day. So if I bd tonight, tomorrow and the day after then I'll have an attempt every day in the fertile window. Good or bad idea??

Pbn3
July 8th, 2017, 09:22 PM
Ttc 2-o and 1-o are best stats, some will say the former and some the latter. I'd be inclined to hold off until tomorrow if you think tomorrow will be pos opk (I'm out at a water park and the glare is teribble but your opk does look close what I can see 😀) Reason being is hubbys swimmers would have had 48 hours to recover and have a nice fresh load of soldiers ready to do battle plus if you o between 24 and 48 hours after pos opk then you want a fresh batch to be either 2-o or 1-o in case you o on the later side.... I get a little nervous about starting attempts before pos opk just in case of this... too many attempts before it counts just depletes the tank. I'd look at doing tomorrow at pos opk, following morning and night if doable as per the usual bd recommendation for blue. And just so happens to be a eod pattern going into 3 clumped attempts which is perfect!!😀😀

OK so tomorrow night or any time tomorrow?

And then following morning AND night.. what if dh doesn't want to twice in the same day? if I have to choose between one or the other, which would you suggest?

Pbn3
July 8th, 2017, 09:46 PM
Ttc blue if you do tomorrow anytime after confirmed pos opk then the following morning that's fantastic! I can only imagine how hard it'd be to do two attempts in one day! I would honestly choose to do an attempt at pos opk (regardless of what time its done) and following morning. That ideally gives you two attempts after following an eod pattern. My ds2 was a night before o and morning of o attempts (had also bded 2 or 3 days prior to pos opk) so I may be abit bias 😕 What is your gut telling you? I can advise what 'I' would do but I prefer you to go with what 'you' feel is right. I do feel strongly though you should hold off tonight and start your attempts (whether it's two or three) tomorrow at pos opk. O can be so unpredictable and I really think you should try and make sure your hubbys 'recovered' load count conception wise which at pos opk it will. Does that make sense? I have a habit of rambling on when trying to explain my thought process 😂

What do you other ladies think? What would you do? I think it's always helpful to have a few peoples inputs :)

Thank you so much Pbn! My gut is telling me to listen to someone other than myself or I'll be trying to make him bd 5 times a day  but no, honestly I really want 3 attempts but I don't know that dh will let me do 2 the same day :( I think I will do one attempt asap after +opk and then one the next morning. I will also try for that night but don't know if I'll get it. Either way I will start back up with eod after my last attempt..

Pbn3
July 8th, 2017, 10:12 PM

Wait, with it being saturday today, dh will be off work tomorrow but back to work Monday. If I get a + tomorrow morning, could I bd right after, and then try to get dh to bd again tomorrow night (not guaranteed)? and then Monday morning/night (most likely night)?

Would am, pm, am give the same chances as pm, am, pm? I think I'd have a better chance getting 3 attempts in if i try to get 2 of them tomorrow.

Pbn & ttc-I'm kind of leaning towards the plan for holding off until tomorrow at pos OPK too! My BFP this cycle was one O-1 attempt! For DS1 I had 2-3 attempts once I got a pos OPK! For DS2, I had 2-3 attempts when I thought I was supposed to O, but wasn't using OPKs.
Pbn-How are you going to give the baby news to your boys? How funny that your oldest is so curious about how he was made! I haven't gotten that yet luckily!
Mommy & pbn-I do get some questions though...DS1 has said "mommy, I don't peepee from my bottom like you, you don't have one of these?" (Pointing to himself) lol kids! 🤣
Butterfly-ABC & I were just having a convo about how it seemed common for boys to be conceived early on as our 2 boys were both conceived first cycle. It seems to sway pink the longer it takes, so fx for you!!! It took me 5 months this time, so we'll see...

He just learned to climb out July 4th and poor guy was shaking all over. I've just given in to putting him in bed with us ugh! There's a loud storm tonight, so he's my thunder buddy right now, currently snoring next to me! How do I get him to stay in his bed all night again??? Pbn-love both of those announcement ideas!! Can't wait to hear their reactions!!
Ttc-9 weeks Monday! Appt for genetic/gender bw at 10 weeks eeeek! Your plan sounds perfect & great idea to continue with eod after...at least until you confirm O!!
On a random note, ever since the loud fireworks on July 4th, DS2 is terrified to sleep in his bed! He turned 2 in March and still in a crib. He just learned to climb out July 4th and poor guy was shaking all over. I've just given in to putting him in bed with us ugh! There's a loud storm tonight, so he's my thunder buddy right now, currently snoring next to me! How do I get him to stay in his bed all night again??? I already don't sleep well waking up many times to pee...it's only going to get harder for me with a growing belly!!

Yay can't wait for you to hit 10 weeks!!!

Aww, well I just lay my girls down in their bed together and I lay with them until they fall asleep and then I go to my own bed. Some nights I can actually lay them down wide awake and tell them "stay right here while mama goes to clean the kitchen and I'll be up soon to check on you" and they go to sleep on their own. I think it helps that they get to sleep together and they have minnie mouse light projections so they don't get scared being upstairs in the dark. That's actually the reason I have them share a room even though we have 2 spares. Makes my nights easier :) Dd2 still wakes up throughout the night, but I just go in there and lay next to her again until she goes back to sleep. Sometimes I get too comfy cuddling with the cuteness and end up spend the night between my baby loves. Hehe

I hope your poor little guy can conquer his fears soon!

Sent from my SM-G900I using Tapatalk

No I have never temped before but maybe i should just to determine I def am i guess! I feel the ovulation pain .. My boys were not from just one attempt.. I would BD every day once or twice when I got my OPKs for 3-4 days

Im guessing I ovulated Monday so 5dpo.. ill start testing around day 9.. However I ALWAYS get cramping a week before AF so I usually don't even need to test because I can always fell AF coming..

Pbn3
July 9th, 2017, 02:59 AM
Well if this cycle doesn't result in bfp (fx it does though 😀) would you be willing to try one attempt at pos opk as one attempt is what's getting good pink results and the closer to ovulation the better the conception odds. Cut off doesn't sway pink 😕 are you using shettles method? I'll post a link to an essay if you are as it has been scientifically debunked and makes for an interesting (and informative) read :) Are you on the le diet?

👆 halley upon further thought, in reference to morning bd that's abit tricky. If you've oed and see a temp spike in the morning then its too late anyway, but if you haven't oed and your temp is lower then it may pay to stick to eod for now....

Well we don't if you've oed or not. If that was your pos opk last night then we should see a rise in temp tomorrow/possibly day after. That spike thats already happened occured during opks that were easily negative. So it doesn't add up that you would have already oed. You may have had a false surge or you may have geared up to o but didn't yet, doesn't mean it wont happen if it hasn't. Unfortunately its a waiting game at the moment, lets see what you temp does tomorrow and go from there. Keep going with the opks until we see either a sustained rise in your temps or a positive. It's all speculation and possible theories until the hard data comes in (the temps) 😕 I know it's frustrating as hell but it'll come together eventually and hopefully you'll have clear answers in the next couple days.

Pbn3
July 9th, 2017, 06:09 AM
If temp goes up tomorrow it *could* mean you oed anytime between this mornings temp and tomorrow mornings temp. However you need to see a sustained rise before you can safely say you oed especially because that opk last night was questionable. If it had of been a 'no doubt that's positive' opk and followed with a rise tomorrow then yes we could say the likelihood that o happened is really good. But because it was close but still just off positive we are going to have to wait and see what your temps do over the next few days. Either that or maybe you'll get a no doubt pos opk in the next few days, we just don't know until more temps and opks are done... I know its confusing and there are so many variables that can come into play when things don't line up perfectly (pos opk followed by clear sustained shift) we just have to do the best analysis with what info we have and basically wait for more to come in until everything lines up and makes sense 😕

He freaking pulled out. :tissue:

So if we bd again tonight and then in the morning, will that still sway blue? Or will we end up swaying pink since his sperm count will be lower?

I'm so freaking upset, I don't know what to do. He hadn't pulled out at all since af started and then day of positive opk he pulls out. But he didn't know it was an attempt so he feels bad and wants to try again tonight and in the am. But I'm afraid that will sway pink...

If day after +opk is O day then that means we had an attempt O-3 and now a screw up on O-1. He says he didn't get completely out (sorry tmi) but he says "There might be like 1/10 of it in there"

Someone please help, I need advice..

July 9th, 2017, 04:21 PM
Oh no ttcblue 😢 I've just woken up and seen this. I'm at a bit of a loss and unsure what you should do tbh. Let me wake up abit and I'll come back but for now I'm almost thinking your going to have to get more attempts in because a 3-o and unintentional pull out attempt (with a small amount released before exit) at 1-o sounds more pink territory to me then adding more attempts. The idea for multiple attempts is having as many swimmers up there as possible so even though he pulled out this morning with a fresh batch (men 😠) you still have a chance of getting more up there with an attempt tonight and tomorrow AM. I know there's little recovery time now for these other attempts but I'm just trying to think what the lesser evil is 😕 Can you pm xxforhubby with a screenshot of your chart and ask her advice (she's my go to) and I'll keep thinking on it this morning. It's first day back at school so I may be a bit slow to respond over the next few hours but will do my best xxoo Again I'm so sorry things have gone this direction ❤

Yeah that's what I'm leaning towards to mommy2apples. I worry if the cycle is abandoned now there's a 3-o and just on release pull out at 1-o which arent the greatest odds of conception BUT definately still have some chance which is really pink....

The only other option I can think of is going to the pharmacy and getting an after morning pill........

Ttcblue go easy on dh as much as you want to kick his butt. Maybe after this mornings bungle he will just let you take control but if you berate him too much he may throw the whole idea out the window xxoo

Pbn, Thank you so much for getting back to me. I'm getting rather frustrated with dh. I got really emotional after he told me he pulled out (I wouldn't know because we were in the shower) and I started crying and told him it was my 1st attempt. Then he said he was sorry because he didn't know and said he wants to try again tonight and in the am but I said no because it would sway pink.. Now he says he didn't actually "finish" (tmi warning) ...He says he felt a"gush" and when he pulled out there was white clumps on him and he thought I had a yeast infection and it grossed him out but he didn't want to hurt my feelings. I think what he saw was the preseed with a small amount of baking soda in it. But yeah, so long story short, he says he didn't really finish, but I don't know if that's true or if he's just saying that because he feels bad. I will pm xx and ask her opinion.. thanks again pbn!

Thank you sky! I'm really confused right now :(

Mommy, thank you.. that makes me feel better. Right now I'm thinking I will bd tonight and in the am, as I've never really liked the idea of the day after pill (though not going to lie, it crossed my mind) I would just never forgive myself if I took that thing and then didn't concieve next month. I can't bring myself to stop a possible pregnancy for any reason.. I can't help but feel like this is my punishment for sneaking behind his back for extra attempts :(

Skyblue
July 9th, 2017, 05:34 PM
I would definitely advise you to ask xxforhubby and Pbn since I don't know more myself. However I just want to ask when did your opk turned positive? I think having more attempts after pos opk is the best for blue and if you and dh havebn having sex pretty regularly from af then the swimmers should be fine. O happens 24-48 hours after pos opk so do u think u still have time? Again, the best idea is to ask xx.

Wait, it happens a minimum of 24 hours after positive?? I thought it was 12? So at the very soonest i should O at 6:30 am tomorrow?

Morning!

TTcblue – so sorry that your plans have gone down the drain but I would totally agree with the ladies, BD tonight and tomorrow if you can, which will likely still sway more blue than pink..especially since you’ve done so well with your sway and eod this month!!
I remember reading than to be considered a pink sway with lots of releases, you’d need DH to release at least once a day for like 5-7 days in a row which isn’t the case here – yes it’s not ideal that you “lost” that fresh batch, but given you are just about to O, it’s probably best to BD more rather than not – hopefully the ladies that have some expertise will be able to help! ;)
Usually O is around that 24h mark post pos opk – BUT you can have a short surge and O very quickly after the pos opk so that 12h is possible- less likely than the 24-48 h window, but really depends when you caught the surge too!

Naci – so happy you had the lovely time on Maui – can’t wait for the update once you see your OB! ;)

Iwant4 – praying for you that baby bean remains sticky! If it’s brown, it’s old blood so hopefully nothing to worry about too much esp considering you had this at the exact time for your DS2 – might just be baby is digging into your uterus that bit more – or your cervix can have these discharges with the hormonal changes!!

PBN – hope the getting your boy back to school has been ok ;) I hate the increase in traffic and people once school holidays are over lol

Mommy – what a nice outing you all together – looks like you had a great time! And so cute – your daughter def is a mini you!
I don’t know that singer but looks like I might have to look him up, esp if he is a bit of an eye candy too hehe
Is it today (Monday ) you are starting the Clomid hon?

This am feeling blah – sore throat all the way up to one ear and achy muscles – just hope my lemon water and good thoughts will ward it off :P
We had a great weekend – M loved going to her friend’s Bday party – apparently all the girls love him, he is the little heartthrob – at lunch, she said to me “ Mummy, when you have a baby boy can we name him Cohen please?” (name of the little boy’s whose Bday we attended)..didn’t realise these love stories thing started so early  - having said that, my 1st “boyfriend” was since we were 3 until we were 10 when he moved away –longest relationship I’ve had before meeting DH lol
Anyways, I ramble – take care lovelies!

Just to explain Sky and avoid confusion the dilemma this morning was that ttcblue got her pos op this morning and was having her one of three attempts after a 48 break. So hubbys sperm load would have been recovered and a healthy size ready to go. He has pulled out instead of releasing in ttcblue (although he now says he didn't really finish and we are hoping he's telling the truth 😉) so the worry was she was going into o with a 3-o attempt, a 1-o attempt with little to no swimmers and two more attempts only 12 hours apart (so little recovery time). I think the idea of 3 attempts is to swamp the area with as much sperm as possible and that very first attempt at 1-o will always have the largest load if there's been a bd break and theother two attempts keep it topped up. I do think though like everyone else that better to keep going than not.

Ovulation usually takes place 12-48 hours after first pos opk. It just seems to happen mostly during the day after pos but there are always exceptions. Quite a few people tend to o two days after pos, some even 3 :) That's why it's good to have at least 3 practice cycles going into to ttc so you get a feel for when you o, but then of course things often decide to go haywire just when you think you have a pattern 😂

Iwant4kids I'm sorry about the spotting 😦 but agree it should be ok because its brown. Mine was too but I was more worried about the clot that followed and the persistent and quite strong cramps I had for the week following. When will you ring for your results? And you'll go in Tuesday for the second draw? Hope both that the spotting ceases and your betas give you you some comfort. I know how hard it is and I struggled alot this pregnancy with yo-yo'ing between being excited then being mad at myself for letting myself get excited because things could still go wrong 😩 All you can do is take it a day at a time ❤❤❤

Hey ladies! Just wanted to update!

So dh swears he didn't actually finish and that he stopped because he lost interest when he thought I had a yeast infection. I do actually believe him because the preseed and baking soda looked rather odd after we dtd.. Not sure why because I didn't use much at all. But he had no idea I was using anything because he didn't know it was attempt time.

Sooo, I left the decision up to him. I said if you want me to, I'll take the day after pill, we can throw out this month and try the next two instead. He said no, there was no reason to. He wanted to do this month.

So we just finished bd--about 12 hours after positive opk (but I took another opk an hour before this attempt--no hold--and it was still just as positive as this morning, if that makes any difference).

Sky: I made sure I got the big O and have had my legs/hips elevated for nearly an hour!

Thank all of you ladies for your help, advice, support and understanding!

Ttc - If I were you, I would have done the same. If your dh is that sure, I don't see a reason to not believe him. [emoji4] The fact that opk is still dark is an added assurance. Yay for big O and hips in the air. I have a feeling that it's all good. The month I got my bfp, we did two attempts after pos opk and couldn't do the next night and I was so mad but we did the night after the skipped night. And my temp
always went up day after pos O but that month it didn't until 2 days. I don't know if my sway worked or not but I learnt that no month is going to be perfect. This is life and things will
Always go haywire. Let's just keep our Fx and go for plan B if A didn't work. Fx for you so tight.

It alters the ph to make it more alkaline or acidic (cant recall which is which) but ph has been debunked anyway I thought? However as the saying goes 'your sway your way' :) and I agree with that statement 100%

I asked atomic about bsf when I first joined and she said she doesn't believe in it anymore but there are many who do. She recommended that if I can't let go of ph, just add a very small amount to the preseed, which is what I do.. just a pinch between my index finger and thumb.

Pbn, I'm doing pm, am, pm :)

Sky, xx said that if he did pull out to do 1 attempt either tonight or tomorrow, but don't do both. I'm taking his word that he didn't finish and continuing with the original 3 attempts plan.

More alkaline PBN ;) – you want an alkaline environment for boys and acidic for girls – in theory - which I believed has been debunked – but you’re right “your sway, your way’ – and if used with parsimony unlikely to be too problematic…

LMSM
July 9th, 2017, 09:01 PM
TTC I agree that if he didn’t finish, wisest is to continue with your plan to harness all that swimmer goodness :D

TtcBlue18
July 9th, 2017, 09:09 PM
Yeah, I knew it had been debunked.. I think the reason I have a hard time letting go of ph theory is because my OB told me herself to douche with baking soda to get a boy. She claims she got the genders she wanted for all 3 children simply by altering ph. I know this may be a coincidence, but my mind can't help but wonder, what if it's true for only certain people? Our bodies are so different and react in such different ways. I douched with baking soda once a day for 1 week back in February and for the first time in my life I produced ewcm. And not just a little, it was literally like stretching out of me all the way to the toilet water when I would pee. So sorry for the mental image lol. But I have also heard it can prevent pregnancy, which is why I met in the middle... I don't douche at all now, but for only 1 attempt each month I will add a little bs to my preseed to ease my mind :)

Thanks ladies. I love to be able to speak my mind here. You all are the best.
LMSM - I will be 10 weeks coming Thursday and have an appointment with NP on Friday to discuss genetic screening. Will keep you all posted.
When are you POAS?
Mommy2apples- My first pregnancy was an easy breezy one. I ate everything and was always full of energy. [emoji52][emoji52] This one not so much. I really hope that it gets better soon. I m so fed up of everything tasting so bitter. [emoji849][emoji849] The good thing is that as crappy as I feel, I m atleast not throwing up.

Oh exciting, almost 10 weeks already!!!so you’ll do the NIPT!? I didn’t for both of my DD’s pregnancies, but now that I am older and my SIL having had to terminate a T18 pregnancy, I am determined to do it for more peace of mind… it is great that the option is there – I am not one for medicated/high tech pregnancies but any screening I can do to help make sure all is ok I am all up for^6 can’t wait for your update!!
I was the same with my DDs – feeling like hell H24 but at least not vomiting - but it still feels miserable!!

I am determined to be patient this cycle – I will not POAS earlier than Friday which is 10dpo, but likely won’t poas until Saturday or even Sunday – FF is announcing AF according to its predictions on Monday so any result then should be pretty accurate! I think it will also depend on how my chart is looking and if I have anything giving me any hope – not feeling preggers right now – just sick (flu ish symptoms)

Pbn-I do remember your frequent restroom trips-glad it seems to have improved! LMSM & pbn-thanks, sure hope it gets better too...peeing & nightmares lol. DS2 is sound asleep in his bed as I type, but the last couple of night have been rough with him getting up, sleeping in our bed & frequent potty trips for me 🤣
Iwant4-that's great to hear!
Sky-sorry you haven't been feeling well! It's so hard to "adult" some days when preggo! Hang in there! [emoji173]
I'm off to get some sleep before I have to pee again 🤣 or DS2 wakes up...

Lola: So glad you all are doing good. I tell dh all the time i hate being pregnant bit i love having babies :) i hope your pregnancy can ease up and be a little less exhausting. Yes mine would stay up playing too when we first started out. I made sure to stay with them, in the middle, until they feel asleep. If they talked i would just say shhh. Eventually they got the hang of it and learned that they have to go to sleep. Once they got into the routine (I've had my girls sleeping together for almost a year and we just got to this point) I can now lay them down and leave and they put themselves to sleep while waiting for me to come back up and check on them. Its a long process but totally worth it. When they wake up they call for me but they know mom and dad's bed is off limits, they don't even go in our room. Sorry it took so long to respond. I feel asleep with the kids when I put them to bed lol.

Sky: I have tried mucinex (1200 MG guaifenesin) and I didn't notice any difference :( I guess it doesn't hurt to try again though. I'll take some in the morning with my 2nd attempt, thanks for the reminder! :)

TTC - Sorry for what you went through last night. Remember that diet impacts a lot and you've changed that since your girls. Yay so glad to read your update!!! FX

Mommy, Sky, LMSM & TTC -Thanks for your prayers and well wishes.

LMSM - Sorry you're feeling unwell, but yay too! Good sign.

Pbn3 - Thanks for the reassurance. I think I've been over doing things physically, so I need to slow down and rest. I never rest on holidays and I need to this time especially. PJ day tomorrow.

Lola - Yeah it wasn't from BDing....I'm off limits LOL. Sorry to hear about the broken sleep....I haven't got much in a week.

Sky - Sorry to hear you're not feeling great. Hope it passes soon x

Sorry for my short messages today....
So my brown CM was during a BM this morning....but it was the kind of BM you have on the first day of AF (do you know what I mean?)....I started feeling a bit crampy too, which had me worried. It has stopped now and was only so faint when I wiped. I also have a cough and cough a lot at night, which could be impacting. I think I will have a panadol before bed tonight so I sleep and don't cough.
My HCG results are very reassuring! Going it for second draw tomorrow and will get them back on Wed.
Bought a car today! But won't get it until later in the week :cheerteam::cheerteam:

Iw4k: Thanks, We just got our 2nd attempt, so we have one 12 hours after +opk and another 24 hours after +opk. I don't think I will be able to get anymore bd in until the day after tomorrow so O-3, O-1 and O day will have to suffice. Back to eod from here, and I'm officially in the 2ww. I really hope this is my cycle because dh and I do not enjoy the planned bd..

Love the new vehicle! I wouldn't worry about nugget, he/she seems to be doing very well and you had such beautiful line progression. I still think the brown and mild cramps are completely normal in early pregnancy. Google says it's just results of Bub burying in the uterine line deeper, so I think it's a good sign! :)

I spoke too soon last night...DS2 crawled out of his crib & got in bed with us!! We are creating a bad habit I need to stop soon! I think we may get the toddler bed from my mom's house & put it in the room with DS1. DS1 sleeps in a tall queen size bed & loves it! He stretches out & rolls all over the bed during the night! Mommy: Thanks, and so excited to see your tests are here! This will be a great cycle!

Lola: Don't beat yourself up too much, lots of mamas cosleep. There's nothing wrong with that. Dd1 slept in my bed until dd2 was born (age 2). And dd2 slept in my bed until age 1. After she was done nursing I moved her to her own room. My girls have a queen size bed too, but they share it. Takes up less space than 2 beds in their room and makes bedtime easier on me because I don't hurt either of their feelings by cuddling with the other, I just lay in the middle :) dh thinks it's weird, but I think it's fine for while theyre little, and honestly don't see a problem with it even when they're older (unless they want their own bed/room). My girls sleep through the night better when they can cuddle together, but boys might be different. Never had one, so idk maybe they like their own space.. hopefully (for my sake, IF I get one!)

Ttc-boys definitely want their mommys too! Mine would sleep in our room every night if we let them! We had a really good bedtime routine going, now this! I'm sure we'll get back on track before too long. Thanks for the encouragement! Anyway, It's completely natural to think ahead how you would deal with life changes! I think about how I'll have to get a new car! I'm sure if you have a little guy (Fx!!!!!!), he won't even notice that he's not a part of their slumber party! My cousin has 2 boys (high school age) and 2 girls (4th & 5th). The girls always wanted to share a room for years...I think they just recently got separate rooms! The boys shared a room when they were little.

My youngest still sleeps in the bed with us, but he nurses throughout the night. I honestly don't know how I will hold up nursing and being pregnant:sigh: The touchy feely is whats getting to me most. He wants to feel on my other nipple (sorry tmi) while nursing:worry: I normally grab my bra strap tight and sometimes he will fight me, and other times he leaves me alone. I guess it all depends on his mood. My oldest two have there own rooms only because of their age gap. 6 yrs between them. My oldest will be 11 and I think he wants his own privacy and space. My 5 yr old started sleeping in his own room the day we brought Luca home from the hospital, and he did it on his own( He just turned 3 at the time). We assumed it would be a fight but it wasn't. My 5 yr old knows his room is his and my youngest even though he never sleeps in there. I have twin beds in there it's all decorated with their favorite things. Luca my youngest pretends to want to sleep in with the 5 yr old, but he never does. My older brothers shared a room even after high school by choice. You couldn't keep them apart, but they are identical twins so maybe there is a closeness there.

NACIRE I nursed my theirs while pregnant with my fourth but since I have preterm labor they wanted me to quit once I got to 20 weeks but if you don't have any issues it's totally doable I wanted to tandem nurse so bad but it didn't work out. Maybe if you give him a little lovey blankey or something it could replace the nipple lol

Yeah I'm thinking whether the girls want to or not they will always share a room. We have 2 spares but one will be the nursery (hopefully) and I like to keep a guest room open incase family or friends come to visit and need a place to stay. We're always the go to people :) I didn't mean that I hope my baby boy wants his own space from me (I want a cuddle bug!), I just meant I hope he doesn't want to be included with the girls because I can see how that might hurt a little ones feelings if his older siblings get to share a room and a bed and he's left alone every night. But if I have a failed sway, I'm seriously debating putting all 3 girls in the same room because I want them all to be closely bonded, not just 2 of them. That's the only thing I really really worry about is the bedroom situations with 3 kids, especially with 3 girls.

TtcBlue18 - I swear and I'll never forget feeling left out, and so alone because my older brothers (identical twins) shared a room. I would hear them talking, laughing, playing in their room. I always wished I had a twin or at least a sister. I never really had a close bond with my brothers, because they always had each other.. I'm pretty sure this probably isn't true for everyone but it was for me.

Ahhhhh help!! It's month #1 TTC and I think I may be messing things up already :)

I don't really understand OPKs - we didn't use them with our first two!! I have been testing the past 2 days, twice a day. Yesterday I had very faint lines in the test area which according to the instructions clearly say means "negative" b/c the line has to be as dark as the control line. Today I did one at 2 pm and it was *almost* as dark as the control line (maybe slightly lighter? But still a pretty good line). Is that a positive!?! Should I just wait to see what tonight's test shows before deciding what to do? I feel like I don't know how to interrupt these things!! If you get a line that is almost as dark as the control line does that mean the next one is likely to be darker/ definitely positive?

And so if it is positive, the other issue is that hubs and I have "DTD" w/ a condom the past two nights. In the past when I've temped, it has looked like I ovulated around day 13/14 (based on the temp shift), so I was thinking we had another couple of days maybe before I got a positive OPK. We're doing the 1 attempt at positive OPK approach. So we had planned, after last night, to not DTD again until I got a positive OPK and then do our one attempt... Well OOPS that might be today!! So my fear is we may have "depleted" his sperm supply too much if we have to attempt tonight! I know lower sperm count favors girl but I'm worried if we do it tonight we may have TOO low of a count to get pregnant. If I get a clearly positive test tonight, should we go ahead and attempt tonight (after 10 pm which would be a full 24 hours after his last release), or maybe wait until the morning? Not having used these dang things in the past I have no idea how long it would be between my first positive OPK and actual ovulation.

Ahhh I'm already confused!!

EDIT: I didn't mention I'm on CD 10 today :)

EDIT 2: Couple other notes... I used Rephresh on Saturday night after DTD so am not due to use that again until tomorrow. Also I went swimming today - not sure if that will have any effect but just an FYI.

Morning lovelies!

How are you?

TTC – woohoo for that 2nd attempt!

Nacire – I had that issue at night with DD2 “fondling” which I couldn’t deal with amymore – I was “touched out” – which I why I went with the gentle weaning – I wasn’t enjoying it anymore at night (I was ok during the day and she was more easily distracted) – and as much as I would have liked to continue, 17 months was not a bad effort...At the end of the day, if you want to continue nursing, it’s going to be a matter of finding strategies to make it an enjoyable experience for both of you – maybe try finding a little lovey blanket and whenever he tries to touch when nursing, offer it to him by placing it gently in his hand – he may not accept it at first, but soon he will likely associate it with nursing and the comfort that it all brings… Gradually offer it at every nurse, and maybe start offering it to him outside of nursing too, as a comfort if he is upset or tired ;)
I can’t nurse when pregnant due to a very irritable uterus, but doesn’t sound like that is an issue for you, so unless advised otherwise by a doc, how cool is it to keep that bond going for as long as you both want to ? ;)

ABC – yay for TTC getting serious :D
Worry not, we all get confused and panicky at times, so it’s good to do a sanity check with the ladies on here ;)
You’re swaying pink I think, correct?
Have you got pics of the tests for us to see?
You did get a fair bit of (granted, protected) BD so number would be bound to be lower yes – I will let the pink sway experts advise – but I reckon if you could post pics of the opks that would be super helpful to let us guide you! ;)

Iwant4 – how are you feeling? No more spotting/cramps? Repeat BW today was it?

Ok better run will be back later – have a series of meetings now ;)
x

Def very close to positive ABC!
Tonight’s opk will likely be clearly positive – and if you are going for 1 attempt only I * think* giving the swimmers a few more hours to freshen up since you had a fair bit of BD recently, might not a bad idea so if you can wait until AM and get your attempt in then, might be better?

Hi All

Im tentatively jumping in. DH did give the green light for this month but with him im taking it day by day 😣 we have 5 boys trying one last time for a DD.

We are going with frequent release to potentially lower his sperm count or abstain just need to clarify with him today.

This mornings opk looks like im gearing up earlier than expected but we will see. Sometimes it fizzles out and starts back up again.

Ill try and keep up with the thread but it moves so fast.

Ok I'm going to re-test again soon so I'll update but that's what I was sort of thinking - wait until morning to give him some extra time to "repopulate" - ha!!

When we conceived my 2nd, we had like 5 or 6 daily attempts leading up to the day of ovulation (or day before - can't remember), so from that it seemed we can def get pregnant w/ daily attempts (meaning low sperm count wasn't an issue). I know obviously in that case those 5 or 6 attempts were all W/O condom so LOTS of sperm got in there but he must not have run too low before I hit my fertile days. We got pregnant on the first shot w/both boys so we were def super fertile then... Maybe if we wait till morning he'll have recovered enough to still give us a shot this cycle! :)

Nacire your description of growing up hearing your brothers talking and laughing, seeng their bond pretty much sums up why I'm hoping more and more for boy #3 🙁

ABC agree with LMSM that if tonight's opk is a clear positive then bd tomorrow sometime. Thing is most people would just test once a day so really if you were doing that then tomorrow would be your first positive anyway :) You should still o the day after tomorrow (if you fall within the average) Good luck!!!! And definately post a pic of your opks so we can take a look 😀

Iwant4kids can you post your chart link again? I removed it when you stopped temping 😀

LMSM cannot wait for the next few days temp!

Netti woohoo so good to see you here!!! Have you asked Atomic what she thinks would be best in your situation for FR or abstain? I think it would be worthwhile getting her opinion while you have time. Detail your ages, your usual bd frequency, what frequency and attempts you used for your 5 boys (the ones you remember anyway) She may recommend something different than the norm for you given your strong natural inclination towards blue.... also there's a lady on here called fiveboys? I think her username is that is pregnant with a dd after 5 boys and she posted a sway. Might be worth checking it out if you haven't already. Also are you doing LE diet even lightly? From memory you were pretty loose with the diet and I know you had more than one attempt when you conceived ds5.

ABC, for what it's worth I never get a line darker than the control line and I seem to be using the same opk's as you. Have you double checked with a digi? Mine looked the same as yours on the cheapie but the digi gave me a positive. I ovulated right after, but would have missed it had I not double checked with digi since I would have considered the cheapie a negative.

So I just tested again and I picked up another brand at the store today too (not digital maximbella... I guess if I can't figure these Easy Home ones out I'll have to splurge for the digitals!!!). But the test line on the other brand was DEF way lighter than control line. The Easy Home they were almost the same color - test line maybe slighter lighter still. Pics of both below.

Eeek! So maybe I should still just wait until tomorrow, test early afternoon, and plan on probably BD-ing tomorrow?

ABC, that's weird that was taken with the same sample? The easy home looks positive to me?! Don't let me discourage you, I do think I'm an outlier with opk's. most of my girlfriends used them with no problems or uncertainly whatsoever. I think I'm in the minority that they might cause undue stress honestly.

Thanks Cosmo! Really hoping this is it for me....

Maaaax – so happy to see you here – I did stalk your chart, looking good young lady! Woohoo :cheer:

ABC – sounds like a good plan – like PBN says you probs won’t O straight away anyhow so should be a good one attempt ;)
Looks like you are one heck of a fertile couple – so his swimmers are super effective haha so it’s hence less likely that the previous BD would have had too much on an impact (as in – lowered the count TOO much – should be just right ^^).
Keep us posted!
Edit: you psoted as I typed – did you have the same amount of liquid before peeing, did you hold just as long? That may make a difference!

Netti so glad to see that DH is willing to let you try this month!!! Woohoo!
FX so hard you get pregnant this month and even better, with your much longed for girl <3

PBN - you and me both! it’s crazy, I feel so schizophrenic at the moment, one second going “omg am so preggers” to the next “ am so having AF soon”….
I did receive a very special present yesterday – a beautiful pink quartz bracelet along with some other things including kind words – and it’s lifted my spirit so much, so will keep being positive! :)

I’ve now had a chance to read you in more detail – and agree the description of your kids (or your siblings) sleeping in the same room sounds dreamy!
We have 4 bedrooms (ours, DD1’s which is medium sized, DD2’s which is effectively the smallest and the nursery, and a large roiom which currently serves as a playroom) – I had mentioned to Dh that when #3 tags along, after we keep bub with us for that while at first, we should move bub to the nursery and have our two girls together…and keep the playroom as their common room (or even swap, and have the girls have the large room and make DD1’s current room the playroom)..he doesn’t want to, saying we have enough rooms for each to have their own.
He has a sister, and grew up sharing the bedroom for lack for space – and I think he is very attached to each kid having their space (I would only have them be in the same room if they wanted to, of course – since we have the space/choice). Sigh :(
Oh and the guy that came in to see me this morning was a guy from Boston, which made me think of all you lovely US ladies (yes, you are on my mind even at work!) :D
