Might spend all my savings on a new MPV before I decide to have another baby, then I can't offord it anymore :¬)

Wish I had savings to do just that!! They aren't cheap and we just got a new car 1yr ago...so god knows how much were gonna loose and have to add to a new bank loan!!!

Well - DS2 is doing well... the medicine seems to be helping lots... he's been sleeping lots in the day which is good... also as I'm starting to feel somewhat nauseous and absolutely knackered! Fx DS1 doesn't get it now... he was coughing this morning... eek!

Thanks for all the advice re Smears. I think I started having my smears when I was about 21 in the UK. I've had on-off problems with them for over 10 years... but the last couple have been ok... this is partly why I don't want it. I tried to do some research - if there are severe abnormal cells they wouldn't be able to treat until after the baby or risk M/C. So I don't think there is any point doing it now. If it comes back abnormal now and then I'd have to wait months until getting it treated, I'd probably worry even more than just leaving it until after. My doctor is German so I'm not sure whether this is the norm over there. I think I'll wait until the hospital takes over all the appointments and ask them what they think. Last time they wanted to wait. My first PG I was monitored for incompetant cervix.. so I don't want any cervix-prodding by doctors. :P

littlemiss - hope the attempt goes well...

petal - I can't believe you're still waiting. He sure is comfortable in there!! My boys were 35 and 38 weeks so I don't know what its like going over the due date. Must be driving you insane now!!!!!!!

Was woken up at 3am by DS2 needing medicine... and then could NOT get back to sleep... got myself into a real tizz... that I'm cooking up another boy and I'll never have a girl... gawd... I can't believe I get so silly! Feels like an eternity til the 12 week scan so we can find out most importantly if bubba is happy and healthy!

littlemiss - I"m not sure if anyone else has already said this. I always take my temp from the same place in my mouth - under my tongue on the right. They do say the most accurate way of doing it is vaginally... but I never did that. I found under the tongue worked well for me. Don't change around where you take it though as your mouth is different temps in different places.... well it is for me :D

Just a quicky, hi all!

Little miss, your ph sounds great over ov! I dtd 40 hours after 1st noticed +opk. I had to wait for dh to get home and to be sure cm had turned creamy. If your cervix is still high, I wouldn't rush to dtd. Do you think it's getting softer? Mine goes mega squishy! Looks like you intend to use a acigel and lime but if your ph is so low I really wouldn't go overboard in case you kill all the sperm. Also make sure you release syringe v v v slowly! Will be online for a shirt while now! X

inglewood - what car have you got now? We got a chrysler grand voyager just after we had indy - our peugot 307 estate couldnt fit in 3 carseats so i would have to squeeeze inbetween 2 carseats in the back! So luckily we have a big enough car (and a loan too) as for the house.....we may be looking into triple bunkbeds lol

anyone doing anything for halloween - we are having a little party for the boys tonight made lots of goodies for after DH gets home from work. The rest of the day i have to get ready for being back at school!! HOmework to be done too

Ah congratulations Charlie!!! Sorry how did I miss that???!!!!

I am 21 weeks and I have just lost another pound!!! Whats going on there as I am huge!!!! Bigger than I was at birth with DS1!

Me and hubby are sorting out the house so we have room for the cot as we are horders!!! It's a real challenge but its nice to get ready now while I can still help him. I must definatly will not be being any more clothes for me for a while as I can't get one more thing into my wardrobe!!! But also I can't bear to part with anything. Deep breath and trow out ten things in a while.

Are we all ready for term tomorrow? I need to iron!!

Charlie nope we're not doing anything. Just popping the pumkins out tomorrow and I've got lots of sweets ready. My boys a still a bit young really.

I had a really bad morning today completely fell of the diet wagon. ate 3 chocolate biscuits and a slice of ginger cake. With a glass of milk though... so not all bad :)

Sorted my self out now and am back on track. I'm just in one of those moods and AF still hasn't arrived so still got this cycle and AF-O of the next before first attempt. Just feels like such a huge stretch away. And now that this cycle is going on longer just hope this isn't a sign of things to come.

I got the boys (probably more for me) Tangled and Beauty and the Beast yesterday from Tesco so we're having a cosy day in with the fire going. DP is working all day and the weather is miserable.

Hi Kell.

I would just say read up as much as you can on sways, 7 sway factors etc on IG unless your doing the LE diet. And then just go for what works for you! I also ask the girls here or on IG if there's something i'm not sure on.

Do you weigh less than you did before pregnancy at 21 weeks that's crazyness!

Iron....?? what's this ironing you speak of? :)

The nearest thing to an iron in our house is a tumble dryer!

Good luck with the wardrobe sorting I did the same this summer and was brutal if I hadn't worn it in a year then it was going to charity/ rag pile. So much nicer having somewhere to fit the new clothes. ;)

I have a question: Next month will be my actual attempt. I plan to use cut off HOWEVER, if I miss it and get a positive digital before I try, I will go for 0+ so I want to be prepared. Last night (Saturday, CD 15) at 10:40pm I got my first :) I know I caught it early bc I tested several times yesterday bc I knew it had to be coming. If this was an actual attempt and I went by the 36 hr rule my attempt would be Monday morning at 10:40 am and I would want CM to be creamy/dry. What about CP what do you want? Last night after my :) it was so high I could barely reach.

What confuses me about 0+ is that you need to DTD before your temp spikes on FF. Is that correct?? If you look at my ovulation chart from last cycle (sept) I got a :) CD 14 and my attempt for 0+ would be CD 16 in the am (also when temp dropped lowest) I thought ovulation happened at the rise in temp. and then I would be too early. OR FF puts O day on CD 16, is it safe to assume O took place the evening of CD15 and the temp can't pick it up till am.. which would actually have made that a perfect 0+ 12 timing. Am I understanding this correctly? I think I'm getting more confused even as I write this. I'm just afraid I DTD too close to O. Can someone tell me how this works in relation to the temp.
Sorry if this is super confusing

Zanacal Really hope everythings ok! good luck for your scan!

Thanks for the welcome ladies! I've been reading up on the 7 sway factors, i am quite use to charting temps, cm and cp from ttc my youngest son. The confusion for me comes in terms of which diet to go with, testing ph and negative ions/ moon info!
Theres a few things i need to get buying before i even think about swaying! Is there an particular ph testers you guys use?
Oh also lime douches, what do you buy for this and where?
Unfortunatly in the past i've had problems with DP sperm and ended up with infections, i'm convinced this is due to our ph differences, so i know this will be a big thing for me to have to perfect!

Sorry i'm sure i'm asking things for the millionth time, if the answers are writted already feel free to point me in the right direction! x :)

I do weigh about 3lbs less than my pre-preg weight. I wonder when it will pile on? I still don't wont to eat much as I just don't fancey anything. I can see my arms getting thinner too.

I get more lazy with time. Before I had kids I cleaned the house every saturday morning, now it's once a month if I am lucky, but I have to hoover all the time as my DH and boys seem to secrete crumbs! I haven't been near the warddrobe still. I can't pull my clothes apart to see them its so rammed! My maternity jeans ripped yesterday and I debated keeping them. Gawd I am useless at de-cluttering. Mybay Dave can go on top of the ironing pile? lol!

Yes he kicks, not much but if I lay on my back he really boots me one! Probably because I am upset he is never going to want to wear a pink dress or play dolls with me :¬)

Inglewood - Do you have two cars? DH has a astra and I have a Zafria so we can have one 5 seater for the school runs and then the family car. Shame you have to sell your new one :¬(

I only got rid of 6 things from my wardrobe but there are things in there I haven't worn for ten years!!! My interview suit (too small now anyway) a dressy dress (No where to wear it and I have other dresses I would rather wear if I was to go out somewhere posh) things that don't fit but I hope to slim into and shirts for work even though I don't wear shirts for work as they seem to come undone all the time. I wish I had more will power! We did a great job clearing up but there is still so much to do!

Welcome Kell!

Maybe, no my old car went to car heaven last yr and we don't have the need for 2 cars, so didn't replace it! Dh really into what Charlie has the Chrysler Grand Voyager, will look into it after the new year. Don't want to count my chickens just yet..... Haven't bought anything for the babies, have always waited till around 16wks.... but this time waiting till I know the sex.

Found out some interesting info over the wkend, Lizzy from PL told me she heard Monochorionic Twins (shared placenta) have a high chance of being girls.......so so so hope that is true! Also I read that women who have a high dairy content diet have a higher chance of having twins (usually fraternal). Eh...GIRL DIET!!! Dh and I both Od on dairy!! lol Something to do with higher insulin levels in the dairy products??? Made us giggle..... Although ID twins are random. Still looking at baby boys clothes wherever I go, just can't work up the courage to even look at the girls stuff, so badly want to but when I get there I automatically go to the boys stuff and chicken out even looking at girls stuff. Have a glance (quick one).

Indigo - do you want my cheepie opk's and tests?

I want to do the great south run one day. Longest run I can do is 10k!

indigo - huge hugs hun x hope this month is the one x go you running you are awesome!!

We LOVE out chrysler - it is V big and V comfy even the bench seat in the back is spacious enough for adults! It is a 54 plate so not really new but FX will be a well behaved car it is huge and even has a BIG boot - the voyager doesnt but the grand does! I cant park it for toffee so spend forever looking for 2 spaces together or a kiddie one but other than that i love love love it x we only have one car so it might as well be HUGE!

I think the Zafira is as long as they get, so I could drive it I think. Plus they have sliding doors don't they? OMG I wanted a sports car this time last year!! What I still really want is a Yaris or Aygo. I think that could work well if DH gets a bigger car. He can fork out to fill the monster truck up then ;¬)

indigo - sorry AF arrived... but the great south run sounds like fun - how long is that one? I miss running - not really got back into it since DS1 was born. Am promising myself after this bub.

Zanacal - fx all ok. I know lots of people who had little bleeds in first trimester and had no further problems. Hope the scan gives you some reassurance.

Cars - eeek - we're going to need to get a new car. Ours only takes 2 car seats in the back. DH would love a Toyota Camry (as its hybrid) but they are sooooooo expensive. Not sure what we'll end up doing. I think we need to start doing some research on it though. I don't like really massive cars as they are just so BIG to drive :)

Anyhews - just me and DS2 at home today. DS1 went to childcare and DS1 is still a bit sick. So I might get some sewing done....

Thank you for all your well wishes. The midwife couldn't get me in for an u/sound until tomorrow which is so frustrating but I've had no more bleeding and my tummy feels less tender today so hopefully that's a good sign. I'm having to take 2 days sick from work with a 'sickness bug' which I hate but there's not a lot else I can do since I haven't told them I'm pregnant yet.

We have a Fiat Multipla - it was cheap and it looks a little odd but we bought it simply because we didn't have the money for a new more expensive MPV and it has 6 separate seats (3 in the front and 3 in the back) so we won't need a new car this time. What I'd give for sliding doors for the school run!

Z, sorry u have to wait another day, but glad ur tummy feels a bit better and no more bleeding. Take it easy!!!

The Grand Voyagers are hard to come by up here, gonna end up down south to get one no doubt! They aren't too expensive, our car is only 1 yr old, but need to get one maybe a few yrs old, will cost around £10-12k. I love all the extras with the voyager, like sliding doors, but god help me trying to park something like that!! lol We have a Honda civic now and my old banger was a fiesta, easy to park!

They are finally resurfacing the road today...what a racket!!! super loud! Betcha they are still at it on thurs and fri when I need to sleep after my nightshifts! need to go sleep at my mums house!!

Hope ur all well! HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I am going with a few mums and the kids trick or treating later (not a fan of it all) but have to for the kids!! Spend an hour making up my halloween bags for kids coming, although if I am out Dh will not be chuffed he has to answer the door!!! lol

I was given a mammas and papa's double buggy (almost new) and a phil and teds sports buggy in VGC (sit one in front of the other and the lower seat turns into a pram-like carrier, meant for a toddler and baby, or changes for 2 toddlers) It was really kind of the mum but I have NO room in my house and loft hatch not big enough. I don't need the 2 of them and told the mum I also have a pram on it's way, but she told me to sell one and buy the babies something they need!! so gonna decide which buggy to keep and send it to my mums as I'm superstitious!!!! Know she meant well and it was so kind, but I don't need the hassle of selling a buggy right now!

Good luck with your scan Z

Sorry af arrived indigo! Fingers crossed for this coming month!

We are due to update out car early next year, I've got a focus ATM but if we all want to go out together (once our little girl is here) we would need two cars, I've been looking at zafira's I like that the seats are easily moved in the back!

Happy Halloween btw! I have the pleasure of carving 3pumpkins this afternoon as well as trying to do some college work! And look after a 2 years old! Will be off trick or treating later which will make the kids happy!

I was wondering how long you guys prepared before your sway attempt? I was talking to dp yesterday and he's up for pretty much what ever we need to do, but realistically I think it'll be a couple of months before I'll have managed to buy all the bits we need! Who knew there would be so much to it all lol!

Have a great day! :)

Inglewood - OMG what a lovely lady - i know its a hassle but p&t arent cheap and they resell at -depending which one you have £250+ I have a P&T and love it although it wouldnt be good for twins until they are 6months plus but then it is FANTASTIC - its only as wide as a normal buggy and so easy to push. If your mum could store it for you i would recommend keeping it!

Zanacal - glad to hear the bleeding has stopped fx all goes well at your scan thinking of you x

zanacal
October 31st, 2011, 07:17 AM
Thanks ladies.

I can't believe you've been given a P&T either Inglewood - wow, what a gift, they sell really well second hand! We got one before I had DS2 (there is 21 months between them) and I really fancied a new pram for the new baby but in the end decided we really would do better keeping on with the P&T as DS3 will still use the back seat sometimes, so I bought some new seat pads and replaced some of the worn parts, but it will have lasted us over 5 years by the time we're done with it!

Hi Girls,
Just checking in.
Zanacal - glad to hear the bleeding has stopped and good luck for the scan tomorrow. I'm sure everything will be fine. Will be thinking of you x
Inglewood - I LOVE my P&T's and they are expensive and also hold their value if still in good condition (or you can replace parts like Charlie has done). You can use it as soon as the twins are sitting up and one can go in the front and one the back. I still use mine now and DS1 often bobs in and out of the back seat depending on his mood.
Indigo - sorry AF showed up but at least you're on track again for this month
Sunset - glad you're having a lovely time in Sweden
Kell - welcome, you're definately in the right place for lots of help and support
Charlie - how are you feeling?
Hi to everyone else I've missed.
AFM, morning sickness definately started to kick in and I'm starting to feel pretty rough. Urghhhh I'd forgotten all these horrible feelings and don't know how I'm going to get through the next 10 weeks. DS2 was sick 3 times last night and that just made me feel worse. I've started getting really anxious about being sick as I have a real phobia about it. I read that acupuncture is good. Has anyone tried it?
All this talk of MPV's is making me jealous. We know we have to change our cars next year but we'll have to go down to one car because of the cost and how on earth am I going to drive/park something that big???!!!
Happy Halloween all. No trick or treating for my boys, both tucked up in bed now xx

Hi everyone just popping haven't had the best day and can't really face spending time on the computer.

Kell jus wanted to say you could spend about a month collecting your sway bits and just reading up if your doing the classic IG type girl sway and start the diet the following month then that gives you 6 weeks to sort out all your ions, douches or rePHresh etc. and just add bits ass you go really:) Just start when you feel ready. I wasn't going to start till March 2012 but i'd been reading up on swaying for about 3 months and I just wanted to go for it!

Hi girls,

Inglewood, I also have a P&Ts and LOVE it so I would defo try and keep that one if you can. I think we could start up the P&Ts appreciation society between us!

Zanacal, sorry you are having a tough few days but I have everything crossed for you for tomorrow.

AFM, just waiting for my :) and my attempt! I have the busiest week this week as well so hope I manage to DTD a couple of times at least!

We have a Peugeot 807 MPV which is great. It has sliding doors that I can open from the remote control, loads of space (especially for camping) but I am not great at parking it. I used to have a toyota yaris which was A LOT easier!!!

Would your MPVs all take 4 proper carseats and 2 adults? DH is looking to get an MPV for his next company car and I *think* he's looking at an Ford S-Max or a C-Max.

our MPV would take 4 seats it has a bench seat in the back so an adult maybe able to squeeze in making it 3 adults in total

maybeoneday
October 31st, 2011, 05:10 PM
Z, yes it would. I have 5 seats in the back and obviously 2 in the front. I would be a bit choosy where I put the smaller babies (car seats with 5 point harness) as they are mainly recommended to go in the first row of seats next to the windows but I think the normal high back boosters can go anywhere. All of mine have proper seat belts, no lap belts at all. My only slight gripe with it is that it is pretty thirsty and costs about £100 to fill up the tank.

I think I might have to get a new P&Ts snuggle when my next baby arrives - need to get PG first though!!! xx

Indigo - do you want my cheepie opk's and tests?

I want to do the great south run one day. Longest run I can do is 10k!
Thanks that would be awesome!

10k is brilliant, that was the last race I did, not such a big jump to 10 miles, maybe we can do it together next year?! It was really fun, honestly!

charlie- thanks hun. Those snuggles sound super, did you make them?

Sunset- glad you are having a lovely time.

Oh had an idea, how about a smog secret santa this year? I could organise and we could do 'homemade' gifts since we all seem to be so arty and creative? or not, and just have an amount to spend? what do you all think? I did one with IG a couple of years ago and it was so lovely!

My Zafaria would. Plus you could get another adult in the back row. However with mine when all 7 seats are up the boot becomes tiny! You could get a buggy in there but not a full shop as well.

Charlie- I'm Enjoying college, but am looking at getting myself a part-time job as well, Time will tell what tho! Oh your really not far away! I Love shopping up there! Its dangerous money wise for me tho, so i try to stay away lol!

Rainbowflower- Hertfordshire is really competetive for midwifery as well, But if you want to go for you definatly should! I will say tho, that if you can get yourself some work experience/ voulenteering on the wards it will be very good for your application when you come to do it! Herts uni wont even consider people without some sort of experience. This is where the Doula thing comes in for me, Its difficult to get on the work experience schedule at my local hospital so i'm going to try and shadow a doula as i would say thats as good!

We've just got back from a soft play centre, My littleman in pooped so i can get on and clean while he's sleeping, Chances are i'll end up on here the whole time reading tho lol!

Zanacal - hope the scan went well today. got my FX for you xx

the people for the contents insurance have ben today and have took all my furniture from in my living room! They have written everything off. Everything we have is at the most a year old as we only moved into this house last October and bought everything new! Especially in my front room as we dont really use that room. Only when we have visitors round. So as you can imagine everything in that room is pratically still new! There was nothing at all wrong with my white leather 3 peice sofa (just a few water splashes on the leather) that would have wiped off and theve took it :( such a waste. My living room hasnt got anything in at all. There coming back tomorrow to lift all the laminate up in the front room and take all my furniture out of my dining room.

I hope so too. My Dp did ask them if they were going straight to the waste disposal place and he said he was taking all the stuff back to their depo. Weve pressumed they will most likely sell them on as they made sure they packed them nicely on their pick up truck instead of dumping them on

the 2ww is going okay i suppose! glad i have something to focus on (the insurance etc) instead of thinking about my sway all the time. We didnt do nothing either for halloween. We did make a pumpkin and made a body for it and put it in the window and gave trick or treaters sweets when they came. My ds1 started back at school today and when i picked him up announced he had a halloween disco tonight and wanted to go (which i didnt know anything about). So had to rush into town and find a halloween costume for him to wear as his party started at 4. Got him there on time so i hope he enjoys himself. He would have been heart broken if he never went.
You never know you may get your DP into your way of thinking about things. I Found out about swaying after i had ds1 (over 5 years ago) so ive always kept him in the picture with it all and he's had alot of time to come to terms with what 'has' to be done. Altho i did start to buy things when we decided we wanted a 2nd child i fell pg before i could even start to get into it all and had ds2

You know who your buying for they don't know who its's from.

£10 sounds like a good price to me.

I also think that when we get the name of the person who we are buying for there should be three things about them.

Like their favourite colour, a word to describe their personal, or their homes style and their favourite shop. Or something along those lines as I don't think I know everyone enough and I think a few people on here would have the same taste as me but others probably wouldn't at all!! I'd really like to think that whatever I make or buy reflects the person who it's for.

yeah that sounds a brilliant idea. we could make a list with names who wants to be involved in the secret santa and what 'things' they like. so if any one wants to be involved just pm me or message on here and i will update the roll call with the secret santa list. Then indigo if you want to be in charge of picking who sends things to whom seen as it was your idea when everyone has notified us of whos in on the secret santa. i think the postage shouldnt really be counted in on the 'guide' amount of £10 as some presents may be heavier then others then it doesnt leave much to spend on the actual present iykwim. i know some things can be around £7-£9 based on weight. So if the buyer is responsible for the postage then they can think about what they can buy so it wont cost them a fortune to post. hope this makes sense lol

Hey Maybaby - I used to be a computer programmer and I grew up in Surrey! Although now I'm a teacher in Melbourne (slight change!).

Zanacal - glad to hear everything is ok. So reassuring to see bub and know things are ok....

Inglewood - scan sounds exciting - can't believe its only a couple of weeks off! Fx you'll get the sex... they only need to see the gender of 1 of them!!! So one of them should be in a good angle!!! I'm sure I read somewhere that you can get good gender scans from 16 weeks. Fx you find out... its torture waiting...

AFM - I had some brown blood yesterday evening. Seems to have gone today... but keeping an eye on it. Have a doc appointment on Tuesday so I'll mention it then...
Been a crazy few days with my sick children. Yesterday was awful. Had about 4 hours sleep - due to DS2 crying for 2 hours in the night... waking up DS1... etc... then both woke up at 6am. It was a LONG day - add in nausea... I was exceedingly grumpy!

hi all

the secret santa sounds lovely but I'll give it a miss! Much too hard to do with me in Oz! :D Postage is ridiculous!

I was exceedingly grumpy!

hope you and your boys are in much better sorts today!!! Hope the blood isnt too serious!! Glad its gone away!!! My brother and his partner emigrated to austrailia 3 years ago they live in perth. When my mam sends presents over it cost an absolute fortune. It was about £120 last time!!! couldnt believe it

Pinga x hugs for the crazy days and brown spotting - i hope the boys are both better and you have got some sleep x I have spotted with ds2 ds3 it is usually 6wks i start so on tender hooks here x for them they said the baby was nuzzling in more i hope this is the case for you too hun x at least you have the doctor on tuesday x

Well my morning sickness is following its usual pattern of being worse in the evening but in the night?!? I woke up about 4 times last night thinking i was going to hurl :( feel rough this morning but not as bad...think i may invest in a bucket just in case!! Although i do feel better i feel more pregnant! And 5 weeks today.....roll on the next 7!

So your definately feeling the pregnancy now then!! Nice when you can get the early signs altho im sure the sickness isnt at all nice! hope it gets better for you. i wouldnt bare it if it was having me up in the night. i love my sleep to much

FX deaks - my cheapies didnt show much at all my FRER picked up a good line at 10dpo and i thought i saw something at 8dpo, I barely saw a line till about 12dpo on the cheapies FX you have a BFP brewing

Thanks Charlie, but I am having af type cramps (and was yesterday too) so beginning to feel doubtful anyway. Sometimes my lp can be short so it could be just around the corner.

Petal - shame labour hasn't come on by it itself yet. I didn't want to be induced again either and as I was having BX in the mornings for weeks I did bring it on myself by taking a very brisk walk up and down a very big hill!

Pinga - small world we live in! What do you teach now? Not many woman in the programming world! (other women have more sense I feel some days...)

Indigo - boo to the infection

Babymad - hope your a bit better now.

TLM - you still with us babe?

Kell - good luck with uni, I found it a lot easier than a levels so don't let that scare you

Deaks - boo to bfn!

I went to see my consultant today. I am offically high risk now. I have growth scans every six weeks and see the midwife every two weeks! She will love me! I wonder why they was never worried when I had DS2? New consultant? My BP was great for me today but the nurse asked if I was on medication for it. I said no and todays reading was great for me - she just raised her eyebrows at me!

Thanks Kelly, hoping that even if I get bfn this cycle that my lp is nice and long as I'm always worried that implantation might fail even if an egg did get fertilised. Btw, don't think I have welcomed you to the thread, so, welcome!

Indigo, I have missed you write about an infection. Sorry Hun, that's no fun! Hope you are on the mend soon!

I had to be admitted to hospital with pre-eclampsia at 35 weeks with DS1. ds2 was ok but my BP was high. My booking BP this time was 146/97 so I am high risk of pre-eclampsia. Could go either way but FX they take good care of me and nothing develops. As long as I get to 30 weeks I don't care really. The um-ing and ar-ing when I had it with ds1 was the worst. By the time they scanned me his placenta was 50% dead. Looking back I wish they had just given me section then and there. Too much risk just to buy a few extra weeks when he had stopped growing anyway.

Kell- I think it's ment to be but then my LP has been 12 days twice but last month was 14 I think that was because I was super stressed though and coming down with a cold all in one go.

Indigo I felt like I had UTI for a few days when I started the diet but the feeling went away pretty quickly. Maybe it was all the cranberry that helped flush it out.

Deaks FX for a BFP when testing early for ds2 I got a BFN chucked it in the bin fished it out two hours later (just had a feeling) and it was a BFP! FX for you. Glad your having a lovely time with your DH and boys!

Inglewood I can't believe that you'll potentially know the sex of your twins in a few week! I also have a very strong feeling they're girls from the nub shot!

Maybe sorry to hear that you are high risk but it's great to hear that you'll be booked into see the midwife on a regular basis. And it'll be lovely having the extra scans!

Petal, hope things get moving for you soon! Until then enjoy your bump. I always miss mine when it's gone!

hello there - well we have more sickness here... DS1's temp spiked last night so he was up most of the night poor little sausage. Exhausted again!! This has been such a nasty virus/bug! Can't wait til it leaves our household!!!!

Inglewood - I ended up in Australia because my of my hubbie. I met him in Scotland and we were over here for a while before heading to Australia. We've talked about coming back... but we need to work out the financials first!

maybe - I teach primary - as I'm just emergency I have all the grades! I really enjoy it. I was in IT for 5 years and I didn't like sitting in front of a computer all the time :D (not so good if you're a programmer!). I miss the salary though!!

babymad - sick children and morning sickness don't go together do they!?!?! Morning sickness was a bit of a design flaw!!

nothing much new to report... 7 weeks today which is great although it feels as though it has been a year since I found out! 12 weeks seems like an eternity. Must start focusing on Christmas... but I never get in the Christmassy mood over here. I mean its 30 degree on Saturday and 32 on Sunday... just NOT Christmas!! I find I'm very disorganised when it comes to Christmas. I blame it on the weather.

I'm barely buying the boys anything this year. DS1s birthday is 30th December so I'm thinking of making him a teepee for his birthday - I found a pattern which looks good... so better get sewing. Anyone getting their boys anything good for Christmas?

Hello,

I am new and have a question for you, ladies.

I have looked at ph test strips and am wondering which ph test strips to get and where from. Any help would be much appreciated. I have seen some online, but they either only go from 4.5 to 9 or in full numbers.

Thanks.

Hi all,
Babymad, yeah i wonder this too as my cycles have always been long!
Went to the midwifw drop in clinic, had over an hour wait. Had an older midwife today, she was sooo slow, she kept calling the baby a she which wound me up! then she asked if we knew what it was, i said a boy, then she said oh yes its defo a boy with that heart beat!! aghrrr. So then without asking me she rang the hsopital to book me in to be induced, ive got to go in next thursday night if nothing happened before then! i really dont want to be induced, i can see this going down the same path as when i had ds1!!! she asked me if i wanted a membrane sweep, i said no. I feel so stressed, would have been much nicer if i had been able to see my own midwife yesterday. Oh and she said the head hadnt engaged any further since last time, great!!!
Sorry for the moan lol, hope you are all well x

Petal - I'm sorry you're still waiting. That midwife sounds really annoying (and just like the one I had when in labour with DS3 who wouldn't help me get off my back to push him out!). FWIW, my babies have all arrived on time and I've always had (before swaying!) very regular 28 day cycles so if your cycle is long and yours are always 'late' then perhaps that's the reason. Of course, they can't make you go in for your induction if you don't want to. I agree with the DTD - I would get a take-away (curry of course!) have a glass of wine and an early night with DH (or book a babysitter and plan to go somewhere you really want to go - you're bound to go in to labour then!). I'm sure your little man will be worth the wait!

charlie - that teepee is so cool. My boys would love it too!

Babymad - I'm sorry you feel so rotten. I'm sure you've said before but is this how you've been in previous pregnancies? If so when did it ease off for you? I hope it's soon!

AFM, I've booked a gender scan for 17th December! It was completely spur of the moment and I had been wondering about not finding out the sex of this baby but I'm spending too much of my time wondering - and if I change my mind I can always cancel!

I just filled 4 bin bags with 'bits' from toys which had accumulated in the biggest boys' bedroom and I'm now wondering what to get them for Christmas. It's shocking really, we're definitely going to scale back this year too. Does anybody have any idea what I can buy DS3 who's just turned 2 (and has 2 bigger brothers with access to just about any conceivable toy ever!)? I have a big list for the older two (mainly toys advertised on Milkshake in the mornings!) but absolutely no ideas for DS3.

Hi all, so sorry there are several of you and your little men suffering from sickness, bugs, colds etc! Hope everyone improves by the time the weekend arrives.

I'm 9dpo and tested bfn with a cheapie this morning. Am too scared to test with a frer whilst I'm on holiday as I know I will feel absolutely gutted this cycle. Pretty sure af will show up though as had major af symptoms and THE most severe back ache last night I was convinced either bfp or af would be with me by the morning...but nothing of course. Most people get a bfp 9dpo on a cheapie don't they really? My cervix went really high last night which also gave me hope but then low again this morning. As you can tell been major symptom spotting!

Kelly, my little man is just 2 and he is so into mickey mouse and the Disney channel, I think I'll manage to sort him easily if I take a trio to the Disney store!

As for the older two boys, well they always seem to want each others toys so we end up buying two of everything, seems like a waste to me! They unfortunately are into role play with swords and guns etc. I think we may replace our broken wii for them this year as well

Deaks, my IC tests were rubbish before AF was due! I bought some ultra sensitive ones (supposedly 10miu) but got a stark white BFN using FMU on the same day I got my BFP on a Clearblue digital (in the evening!) which is only meant to detect 25miu. I still only had a feint line on the IC the night before AF was due. In all honesty, I wouldn't bother with ICs again!

Hello,

I am new and have a question for you, ladies.

I have looked at ph test strips and am wondering which ph test strips to get and where from. Any help would be much appreciated. I have seen some online, but they either only go from 4.5 to 9 or in full numbers.

Thanks.

you want to buy the universal ph strips which test from a ph of 1-14 or buy the hannah ph tester as they are quite accurate

Hi all,
Babymad, yeah i wonder this too as my cycles have always been long!

Crashing....because after reading about this MW I had to write something!!! About the induction...if you don't want to be induced....don't go in:) She can't force you to get an induction. She's covering her butt and isn't thinking about what is best for YOU and baby. Induction has WAY more risks than just waiting a few more days. Also, is this baby #2 or more? If so, they don't really tend to "engage" until very close to labour starting. She should know that. It's so good that you stayed away from the membrane sweep!! If baby isn't engaged, she could start labour prematurely and unless baby is in an optimal position, you're just asking for trouble(malpositioned baby as well as accident rupture of membranes, introducing bacteria...).
I cannot believe the push on women to get induced by 42 weeks. I have been to births, known many women to have births beyond the 42 week mark and although it may be a pan in the butt to wait...it's so much better(if baby is fine health wise) to wait for them(baby) to start it. Just my rant! Sorry to offload!! XO I hope baby decides to come soon so you don't have to deal with all this rubbish.

Hey everyone!
OMG I just cant keep up, god help me when it comes to swaying, I literally spend most evenings trying to keep up with a new online paperwork system and just cant fit in anything else!

So I have now stopped breastfeeding DS2 who turns 1 next week, kind of sad but he hasnt missed it, but still, it was kind of a sudden decision after suspecting a luteal phase defect and decided I needed to see what was happening.
Struggling to remember to take my temp too so thats not going to help, but now on metformin in the hope it helps me stabilise sugar levels which in turn would help my PCOS and give me the best chance of a normal cycle. Seeing the dr for a review in a month and will ask what my options are with how to best get cycles on track with regard to short luteal phase and body gearing up to ovulate and then not for a few days and if this is linked to lp defect.

So need to start stocking up on pills etc.! Scary!

Has anyone's OH's had any reactions to any of the tablets? My OH has a partuclarly sensitive stomach anyway so Im dreading him starting any. I think mid december we will start taking them and looking at PH, then from January do the diet, ttc from end of March.
Eeek!!!

Babymad - poor you, sounds horrible. Why do we do this again??!!!

Charlie - your kids are scrummy!!! My boys only play outside if I go with them. They are scared of their own shaddows! FX your sister is going to be ok over the next few weeks.

Worked almost 50 hours this week! Pinga - sitting in front of a PC all day is a pain but my job really involves a lot of team working and working across all levels of staff. I love that bit of it. My team are so funny. I love working with men too. They are more honest and up front with you. No bitchyness and talking behind your back.

Petal - what can I say re being induced. Been there and done that. DS1 wasn't ready so it wasn't ideal. Would prefer not to do that again. I have only had a sweep when fully dilated and in labour with DS2. DS2 never engaged.

Petal - oh dear... hope he doesn't keep waiting too long!! As babymad said... have you tried DTD? That got things moving with DS2. I was induced with DS2 and it was a fantastic labour. It was intense very quickly but all up my labour was 55 minutes. I felt amazing after... so inductions can be ok. That said... I felt really pressured to be induced. I wanted to wait... but they got me worried about bub. Doctors hey!!?? I didn't engaged with either of my boys until just before they came out. I had a midwife appointment the morning of the day I had DS1 and he wasn't engaged. Fx he behaves in time!!!!

maybebaby - there are things I miss about working in IT. There are some real characters - and you get real satisfaction when you've made something that looks good - I used to do a lot of web dev.. very satisfying!! But I think I like working in community roles :D I was considering teaching or nursing when deciding to jump out of IT.

Charlie - love the teepee :) and great little outfits!! I too hate all the plastic crap that we drown in. I often buy second hand toys and wrap them up. I got DS2 a dump truck made from 100% recycled plastic this year. Luckily DHs family are pretty into the wooden/sustainable presents so the boys get pretty good stuff.

AFM - went to the docs this morning to get blood results and organise my referral to my hospital of choice... going to the hospital they use for some of the outside shots from Neighbours :D It's where I had the boys... At the docs DS1 decided that he was going to have one of the those freak outs where they irrationally and hysterically scream for ages and nothing consoles them. Lovely!!

really strange i must say! i've had this blooming cold for over 7 weeks which i know i've mentioned on here and then on friday, a week ago i woke up and my face felt like it was about to fall off, I was in so much pain! so i went to the local doctors who said i had a sinus infection, but they didn't do any testing to see if it was bacterial or viral, but just sent me home with some nosespray and cough medicine to see if it got better on its own. which i understand as 2/3 of all sinus infections are viral and not bacterial, but i wish they would have done their swabs and blood tests when i went the first time! so anyways, after 6 days (yesterday) i was still not feeling any better so i decided to go back and they did swabs and bloodtests and listened to my lungs and apparently i have pneumonia so i've been described antibiotics to take for a week. To be honest though, even though I feel poorly, I don't feel "that" poorly iyswim? more like i've got a really bad cold or flu so i would never have guessed pneumonia :S but at least it was caught early so fx for a speedy recovery :)

Pinga- I hate when ds2 does the screaming thing, and I think it's going to happen more and more as he's defiantly going through the terrible twos! He's taken to growing himself on the floor if he doesn't get his own way now, that's always fun in a school play ground while it's wet!

Charlie- Im not sure what's happened to your sister, but I hope she's ok! x

Maybe- 50 hours! Crikey you must be knackered! Make the most of the weekend!

Charlie, have you heard from your sister?

Sorry don't have much time to catch up with everyones posts at the moment. Still having a nice holiday but feeling very low about my af about to show up. There is no doubt about it, my temp dropped this morning and I feel totally crap so I expect af to be here by lunchtime. Have no idea what my plan will be for the next cycle...not even sure I can manage the diet anymore and also wandering how on earth I can get pg by not dtd over ov as have never succeeded before. Urgh, was really hoping I wouldn't have to face all this again!

Sorry to be on such a downer this morning but I don't know how I would cope without you ladies!

Deaks - What a bummer!!! hope your okay!!! i know exactly how you feel. Im worrying about my sway too. Not worrying about my attempt but just hoping im pg as i normally get pregnant quite easily and wondering if im not where have i gone wrong. I couldnt pin point to what hour Ov occured but i know it was bettween 1-5pm last saturday so attempted at 3am on the night so somewhere between an 0 +10 to 0+14. Then the next morning we attempted again but instead of doing TBM we DTD and i did a straight lime douche. so that would have been an 0+16 to a 0+20

Sunset - sorry you are ill AGAIN! Surely you have a over a years worth or illnes since your BFP!

Deaks - hugs - it sucks, but if you are as stuborn as me you will get there in the end.

Charlie - I am getting paid OT and the weekend rate is not to be sniffed out, double time!!! New pram here I come!!!

Bought a lovely no added sugar romper for Dave which says "Boy" on the front. I hate it at hospital when a midwife or doctor says "what did you have?" i tell them boy and they say "ah isn't she beautiful!" so this will spell it out!

Petal - my induction wasn't too bad really but it took over 24 hours to kick in. Nothing was happening so they said they would break my waters in the morning. I went to walk round the wards and I got 20 metres before I was doubled over in full on labour. Bearly made it back to my bed, told the midwife my waters had gone, when she came back I was sick, she took that away and I was 5cm dilated. Got to the delivery room I was fully dilated and pushing (a hour from the first contraction. Then 3.5 hours of pushing later, a catheter, the drip etc they got a doctor in and two peads and I had a vontose as he was stuck. So it could have been good as 1 hour labour for your first baby is great, but with pre-eclampsia and a exhasting labour I prefered DS2 48 labour tbh.

I am sure he will come before Thursday x

Thanks ladies, it's comforting to know there are others feeling this way or have felt this way in the past! Still no af but major af cramps so reckon she will be here in morning. Used another Internet cheapie but only got an evap line when it had fully dried out so def think I'm out. At least my lp is good, so I won't worry about that in the future. Just need to decide whether I bd though ov next month with the help of acigel or whether I try o+12 but without any lime and perhaps on the 36 hours mark max.

Charlie, glad you have heard from your sis. Hope she is relieved with her decision. When will you be telling her about your pg? Hope your pains have subsided, am sure all is fine but I'm thinking of you.

Sunset, can't wait to have you back Hun!

Littlemiss, you sway really sounds great and if you easily get pg anyway, hopefully it wont take too long. Fx for this month!

November 4th, 2011, 08:05 PM
Doulamama- I've been looking into becoming a Doula in the uk! Im now torn between that and being a midwife!
That's cool!! I'm on way down the midwifery path as being a doula is VERY hard some days. I can't speak my mind and really speak up and for the women I help as I get looked at like a crazy "doula" who has no idea what she's talking about. Plus, I'm not a member of DONA or any other organization because they do not have a woman's best interest in mind. I am there for the WOMAN. Not the Dr's or midwives....If a woman wants to birth on the toilet...she should have a right to do so and I am willing to speak up for her and make that happen. It's very depressing here in the midwifery scene too :( I am going to get all my schooling, attend and be a part of many births, learn as much as I can from other women and mothers..but I will not register. I will not let the government or the insurance agencies tell what I can and cannot do. If a woman with 3 previous c-sections wants a home waterbirth...then that's what she should have! I could care less what the Province of Alberta has to say. They(Government and Insurance agencies)have no place in birth......
Sorry...just my 2 cents!!! I'm pretty passionate about this:)

Thank you for replying! this is my 3rd baby and thats what i thought about the head not engaging until the last minute. When i declined the sweep she got her phone out and said 'right ill book you in then' and then told the hospital how i had declined the sweep as if i was being akward!!
^^^ This was done because she's a bitch....sorry...but that is not professional in any way, shape or form. She wanted to embarrass you and punish you for not taking her advice. It sounds like her ego is a bit big...
I had one with ds1 and it didn't help me at all. I was then induced with ds1 and had the birth from hell including all the midwifery staff, i hated every minute of his birth and struggled to bond with him for weeks after(This happens a lot with inductions :(), i believe inducing labour is forcing your body to do something its not ready to do, of cause if there was any riak to my baby then id do it in a heart beat but i can just see the ds1 scenerio happening all over again and its scaring me to be honest! they induced me then realised the delivery rooms were full, i was begging for pain relief but they couldnt do anything, by the time i got to delivery room i was fully dialted, i couldnt push coz of the pain causing ds1's heart beat to almost stop, was horrific, hated it all. Thank-you so much for taking the time to reply, i really appreciate it :-)) x
The thing with inductions is, they create unsafe cx's that really squeeze the baby unnaturally. Once a woman has pitocin introduced to her body, the natural oxytocin that the body is releasing is essentially "shut off". The baby never gets a break and the body never gets a break. It's NOT normal and very painful. Pitocin cx's are usually double the pain of regular cx's. This causes babies to have a very hard time in the womb. MANY babies have bad heart decels and need a section because of the pitocin cx's. Oh, and one more brutal fact.....never get induced on a Friday. Many babies are "pitted(pitocin) to distress".....this means(and I have nurse friends that KNOW this happens)that they pump you so full of pitocin that the baby gets distressed very quickly and needs a section...ON PURPOSE. Scary hey?
Also, when you force a baby out before he/she is ready, they are most often not in the optimal position for THEM. All babies adopt a position that works for them, some of them need to be born OP, some breech...you see what I'm getting at:) The risk of stillbirth when beyond 43 weeks is still more favorable for mom and baby than an induction and/or c-section. I can get you the papers that prove it. Stand your ground and do what you feel is right. If you want to skip the induction....skip it! They cannot force you to go. YOU hire THEM. You are in charge. If the baby is doing well....waiting is the best option! xoxoxo

Ive tried everything to bring on labour, nothing is working, ds2 was 8 days late which im 8 days overdue today but nothing so far :-( Im soo worried about being induced, i think i need to be strong and talk to my midwife about it, dh told me i should do what they say but its my body and i want to enjoy (as much as possible) the labour and birth. No offense...but your DH should have NO say when it comes to your birth :) You birth the babies...it's your experience that you have to relive/live with for the rest of your life...you do what you feel is right. YOU know your body WAY better than any Dr. or Midwife. Trust that. I believe in you~And there are many other women that do too. You are strong...we all are:)

ETA- You are very welcome! I try to keep my birth rants to a minimum but some things really set me off!! I hate that women are being scared into procedures that they do not need...and that are often very risky for them and their babes.

Doulamama - that was a FREAKING awesome rant I love you! You sound like a fantastic doula :D I was induced with ds2 as I had the lowest b12 levels my doctor had ever seen (not good) HOWEVER I refused the drip, I was 3 cm dilated anyway so I let them break my waters, they wanted to drip me straight away I refused and instead side walked, stomped and didnt stop moving for the next hour. They then tried again I said no as I had just had 1 CX....well I am glad i stood my ground 10 CTX and I was ready to push....not that they believed me, the MW said dont be stupid so I ignored her and got DH to push the call button - luckily a nice MW arrived gave me 1 look and said the babies coming! At which point I said something rather rude to the other mw :D I know i was lucky with my induction as the baby was ready but i am also glad i can be a PITA and rather stubborn at times so stood my ground

Deaks - EVAP are we sure?? sung like the song "it aint over till its ooooooooover" everything crossed for you hun

OMG! posted lots and lost it!!! argghhhhhhh!

Sorry not posted for days, hope ur all well? popped on/off inbetween my nightshifts but have pg brain and forgotten alot of it (sorry). I was super sick over my 2 nightshifts and could barely function yest! Head was thumping and was sick! But managed to get my act together to go with dh and the boys to the local fireworks display. Today I have booked a facial! Not had one for yrs, but my hairdresser has a new beautician in and they are doing half price treatments, so 45min facial for £12.50! Shame I have nasty pg hormone spots!

I have tons of stuff I could ebay to get some xmas cash, but haven't the concentration to list them! Not back to work till next sat/sun so hoping I feel better thru the wk to do it. Better go tidy up and do a washing before dh home from work, although he wouldn't say if I didn't, been quite good that I'm poorly, he helps out more, although he is good anyway!

Have a good weekend! x

Hi girls,

Petal ~ lots of labour vibes, maybe a long walk today may help. When I was induced with ds2 I opted for the pessary rather then the drip, it takes longer but it's not as bad as the drip so remember there are options, make sure your MW explains everything to you x

Deaks ~ sorry you got another bfn, loads of hugs. Has AF arrived? X

Maybe ~ I keep asking myself that very thing everyday ;) I will need a new pram too, we've just sold our double pushchair so I will need a single now...what are looking at?

Sunset ~ safe journey home :)

Hows everyone doing in the 2ww? GL to everyone attempting soon x

My hubby bought me an iPad2 yesterday! So sweet of him. :)

Can't face going to a bonfire so having a few fireworks at home - at least I can stay in my PJ' s :)

I had the whole pesary, then gel induction. The drip only came out when my contrations started to slow down after 3.5 hours of pushing. He was born within 5 mins of the drip. In my case I had no choice about my induction. It was induction, c section or death for both of us.

Hi everyone, only managed to read the last 2 pages Im afraid.
But petal I hope bubs gets a wriggle on for you, DS1 arrived on his due date and DS2 missed his due date by 2 hours!
I did find sex may have been the key, heard sperm acts like an induction gel, and also did lots of bouncing on my birthing ball to try to get the head to engage etc.

Deaks, sorry you think af is on the way. Not looking forward to all the ups and downs of ttc again, although once the babies are here its all forgotten about.

My work hours may be reducing so claiming m. allowance may alter, so crossed my mind to ttc early but that would mean dieting over christmas and Im quite stressy right now, would like a bigger age gap etc. so now is just not practical right now un-fortunately. Fingers crossed Im still working enough to claim the full amount come April time.

Its DS1's first birthday Monday, so need to bake his cake today, hopefully catch up with this thread over the next few days

Thanks Doulamama, im going to see my midewife wednesday and discss things with her, just thinking of my ds1's birth make my stomach flip! horrible. I didnt have a drip, just a gel thing on my cervix, once in the evening and another 12 hours later, i didnt have him until 9pm that night with no pain relief. The midwife was horrible, i was crying and begging for an epidural but because the delivery suite was full i was told she was more than capable to deliver me in the labour ward and they moved everyone else out, she basically told me that i got myself pregnant and that 'this is what happens' in labour. My dh took her outside and had a go at her after that. Ds1's heart rate dropped, i was jabbed with a needle and cut open! After his birth she told my dh how i was her star pupil blah blah, i wont repeat the words that ran through my mind!! Then i was put on the ward and left with my baby who i had no clue what to do with, i was 20. I rang the buzzer a while later and asked for a bottle to feed him, and was told 'the bottles are down the corridor'!! THEN the next morning at 8am dh came in and he was told off because he wasnt allowed to visit until 3pm!!! i ended up getting out of my bed very sore after all the stiches and taking ds1 down to the day room to see dh! I hated every second of that place and that will haunt me forever as i couldnt bond with my baby :-(((
Anyway ds2's birth was perfect, laboured at home, got to hosp at 6cm, got my epidural, he was born and everything was perfect :-)
Come on ds3!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

Sorry for yet another rant haha.
We are off out to a firework show soon, trying to do as much with the boys as possible this week bless them x

Sorry not to read everyones posts before writing but feeling sad and confused.

Got a faint line very quickly on an ic this morning. This afternoon popped in at asda to pick up a better brand of test and whilst i was poas, my af started. However i got a faint line appear very quickly again. What do you think has happened? Do you think its because my LP was only 10.5 days? Could implantation have failed to happen in time?

Anyone heard of this old wives theory?? The hair line at the nap of the neck of your last baby is supposed to reveal the next babies sex?? An italian girl works with DH she always says ds1 and ds2 have the pointed down hair (in the middle) on the nape of the neck = next baby will be a boy, which is correct ds2 and ds3. ds3 has a straight hair line she has always says this means the next baby will be a girl.....just wondering if this is true for any of you....i know its all a little crazy fun though!!

Hi hun, the blood is a definate flow not spotting but there is a fair bit of brown and red not just red. As for the opk i did i think the line does have colour... will photograph it in some daylight tomorrow as my camera wont focus very well in the eve. Holding my wee to do a clearable digi this eve and will then do another in the morning. If they come up neg not gonna fret anymore but if they come up bfp then might get myself to a doc tomorrow to get some tests done. Is that what you would do?

With my chemical i got a faint line on a FRER very faint but definately there then AF arrived - i didnt bother with doctor, however if you are worried about your LP I would book an appointment x :( for the bleeding hun x some people do have a light AF in early pregnancy - if your lines come up again or get darker it might be viable x x

Thanks zanacal. just spoke to a doctor and he says if the bleeding settles over the weekend then it might not end in a miscarriage but the fact that im cramping isn't a great sign. Just worried about what he said about eptopic pregnancy being a slight possibility if i notice sharp pain on one side. Hope i would be able to distinguish between that pain and the painful cramps i am getting now.

Just got back from A&E as i was in loads of pain (ab and back) and after being worried by the doctor and stuff i read on the internet about ectopic pregnancy, i got totally freaked out. Anyway their pg test said not pregnant (though my urine was not as concentrated and it had only been held for an hour) so i have come home non the wiser! The doctor there said to go back to my normal doctors on monday and get re-tested. Am hoping that either the clearblue digi gave me a false positive or that my beanie manages to stick if its healthy! Am on paracetemol for the pain and need some sleep. Maybe the bleeding will have stopped by the morning...FX

Thanks hun, woke up to constant bleeding this morning. haven't even dared take a hpt. Going to head to the docs tomorrow as i really need this problem sporting...im pretty sure this is the second chemical pregnancy i've had. Thinking im going to drop the swaying apart from the timing as i cant help but think its linked. what do you ladies think? i know tamara says there is no link but maybe i have altered my body balance too much that it cant cope? or perhaps its just my short-ish lp...could the egg have tried to implant too late? i guess these are the questions i will ask my doc though i don't think i could ever bring up the swaying.

Petal, thinking of you, willing your little man to arrive!

Deaks I'm so sorry your going through this, I hope you get to the bottom of it all! ((hugs))

Lol about the train table, hmmm maybe it's not such a good idea then! I'm going to sound awful here but it's really quite good! We have decked out our cupboard under the stairs (Harry potter style lol) and the kids toys are all in there, the door is in our living room so Charlie comes and go's getting his toys out so us having the table in the livingroom wouldn't be to bad I don't think, I'll have to have a think!

Petal hope things are on the go for you!! :)

Charlie lol! I'm super forgetful! Can I still blame baby brain if I've not been pregnant for nearly 3 years! :)

Well we went to a wedding reception last night! It was lovely to spend time with friends while the children were at their auntys!
Only problem is I've had a SERVERE illergic reaction to my super expensive makeup, and now my eyes look and feel awful! They are super swollen top and bottom, really red, and it almost looks like acid burns on my eye lids, I have open wounds which are oozing! I look delightful!
I'm going to have to hibernate for a while and lay off the makeup I think, they are going to have to scab over and heel, I hope it doesn't take too long :(

Must get on and clean up! Have a great day! :)

Still bleeding though cramps have subsided a bit. Weird thing is my ic bfp is darker today. Mind you it was so so faint yesterday. But today it came up very very quickly and a tiny bit darker...the kind of faint line you don't even question. Is this because hcg levels continue to increase for a bit during miscarriage? Just wish I knew what to do. Doctor is going to call me back very soon. Can you still be implanting but get a bfp at the same time? Think it probably wishful thinking.

I think you need to be seen by a doctor and only time will tell what is going on. Many of the HT gals, including myself, have red bleeding- quite a bit sometimes- well into the first trimester. It can just happen. I hope you figure out what is going on.

I dont really know what to suggest deaks! i agree with what Atomic said about early tests are more of a curse than anything. November 6th, 2011, 09:16 AM
I agree to some extent that early tests are a curse, but on the other hand at least I know there is a problem that needs sorting. At least I have the knowledge that an egg is being fertilized and some kind if implantation is occurring to get a bfp. Hopefully I will now be able to find out if there is something such as my LP or low progesterone causing the chemical. It's crap but I will get it sorted.

Just spoke to doc and as I'm having period type flow with some small clots and pain has stopped, she thinks miscarriage has happened and now lining just emptying out. Will still get bfp for a few days. She says I should wait til after another af to start trying. But I have heard most women try straight away. What do you guys think? Feeling a bit calmer and atomic has given me loads of good advice.

Hiya just popping in to catch up. Just had a super busy weekend trying to finish the garden before the Ds2's party next week.

Deaks so sorry your going through this. I've never had a chemical. But I do know of a person who have had a period type bleed all through her pregnancy.

Is the bleed and cramping like a normal AF, worse, or milder than normal?
I really hope you get some answers on Monday and I really hope it's just your little bean is implanting. x

deaks66
November 6th, 2011, 09:33 AM
Thanks lavender.

The bleed is like a normal af and the cramping was agony for several hours. Pretty sure it's not implantation as had a few tiny clots when I wiped. Plus I don't think I would have got a bfp until after implantation. Just taking it easy today and having a re- think about my sway as can't risk a third chemical ever! Sorry little bean for letting you down :(

littlemisswilko
November 6th, 2011, 09:33 AM
such a bummer deaks. if it was me i would TTC straight away again as really the fetus hasn't had much time to develop, this has seemed to happen pretty much when Af should have showed. Unless when you consult your Dr he may prescribe something else to maby lengthen your LP such as clomid and advise you on when to start ttc again! Just have to wait and see what happens tomorrow!

Sorry cross post Littlemiss and Deaks

But i'm good though Littlemisswilko and the playhouse has been colected DP fitted the new one on Friday and I have been painting it all over the weekend. He's just doing the tiles now!

Oh the diet is killing me i've been so ill just seem to catch everything at the drop of a hat. Got another cold now! I was a bit naughty this morning and had breakfast! It was a pancakes with some frozen raspberries heated up in the microware. It was really yummy (would have been nicer with some sugar!) and all the ingredients ar on the girl diet. Just the breakfast bit was bad.

Deaks sorry to hear the doctor thinks it's a MC. My last 3 AF had clots in them? What does that mean. I just thought it ment that my AF were just becoming heavier. I really hope they can give you something to lengthen your LP. x

deaks66
November 6th, 2011, 09:42 AM
Lavender, that's the annoying thing, I already have the prescribed progesterone crinone to lengthen my LP but stopped taking it over my summer cycles to see if my LP was any better on it's own. It was a bit but obviously still borderline. Wish I had taken it but cant look back at what ifs or I would torture myself. Not keen on clomid even though it sways girl so hopefully the doc will just say get back on the progesterone or similar. Will be good to get bloods done though to check there is nothing there that's a problem.

deaks66
November 6th, 2011, 09:43 AM

November 6th, 2011, 10:19 AM
