I don't think we will be having a gender scan sunset, if we can't find out at 20 weeks then we will but when I mentioned it to dp he wasn't so up for it really.
Shame but as long as I find out I'll be happy!

It looks as though we're exactly a week apart - I'm 14 weeks and 2 days! My scan is 8th December - a week on Thursday, eek!

And I'm exactly 3wks ahead or you!! 4 ahead of babymad...how funny!!

Kell ~ I admire your patience :) I was way too curious to find out this time I simply couldn't wait for my 20 weeks scan lol

Inglewood ~ must be nice to have an "action in plan" :) eek I get goosebumps everytime I think that you're gonna have 2 babies to cuddle :D it's just so amazing!

We have finally decided, Dh's idea! I've to write on a piece of paper boys and girls with a tick box and then she doesn't have to write anything, just tick! Then we can open it later that night. If she doesn't want to do that, then she's just to tell me (if she can), it might not be obvious and we have no choice but to wait!! lol

Sunset, 2 babies to be cuddle will be funny, don't have big arms....lol

Hi all, all this scan talk and delivery talk making me jealous too...would so love to be in that position!

Had a wonderful day today, took ds1 and his mate ( a girl he has known since 3 months old) to London to see the gruffalo show, out for lunch and to the aquarium. It's his birthday on monday and he chose that over a party. We had soooo much fun and were shattered by the time we got on the train. Ds1 then fell asleep and has since been up all evening making a gruffalo puppet show with me :)

We have friends coming over tomorrow to celebrate and grandparents on mon so the 2ww will speed up a bit! My progesterone is going well, not too many fake symptoms but won't be long before I hope there are some symptoms!!

Hope you are all well! Indigo, have you tested?

Deaks, bet that was a fab show!!! My ds2 would of loved it! Wonder if it's up here anytime. A few of us have birthday boys this mth...me, maybe, you and someone else?? Nov seems a busy boy birthing mth! My brother's b'day was yest and my nephew on tues! Ds2 would of been Nov if wasn't a planned section on 26th oct (well, was due 29th oct and was gonna be overdue for sure).

Hope u have a lovely time tom and monday, sure he will love all the attention!! x

just checked....all London dates! :(

Oh that's a shame inglewood, as it's brilliant! It's actually our second time but I could watch it again tomorrow it's so much fun! Am pooped and have just got really bad back ache which scares me as that was the main symptom before my chemical ....hopefully it's just a symptom of my busy day.

Deaks that sounds like a lovely Birthday treat! I too wish I was in the position where I could be counting down to scan rather than TTC. Only another 5 days until you can start testing, do you think you'll test early again or wait until AF is late this time? FX this is your month!

Kell I've always waited until 20 weeks too to find out the gender never even crossed my mind that I could go for any early gender scan before. But I've found out that my local babybond is only £65 for a 20 minute 3D scan and pictures so wouldn't be able to resist this time!

Inglewood the tick box idea sound great hopefully you'll know 3 days eeek!

Just finished work and watching rubbish on TV when I should go to bed but just can't switch off... I also think i've overloaded on swaying infomation recently. Oing over the full moon is really playing on my mind... which is silly I know. I'm planning to use repHresh so can hopefully gaurantee a low PH but if that was all that mattered then there wouldn't be any point on being on the diet. I really believe changing the whole body PH is important so will the positive ions have an effect on the whole body's PH? I'm wearing negative ion pads and going to wear one day and night the week of O.

Also i'm getting really confused when they're is a new moon is it ''full'' also as I was researching today when the next full moon is and it's in January and I O pretty much on that day too!! But in my diary it says it's a new moon in January I thought it went full moon followed by a new moon then full etc. Not a full moon monthly..??!

God i'm so confused :( feels like the only part of my sway that I can't control. Did anyone else feel this way or is it just me?
any information would be really helful.

Sunset I remember you saying that a full moon won't effect everyones pH but just my luck it will mine:(

Lavenderlime, This site helped me identify the moons, you may just need to change the mth and it will tell u at what day/time the moon is new, 1st quarter, full, last quarter- The chart at the bottom explains it all- The new moon was yest at 06.09hrs and the 1st quarter starts 09.52 on 2nd dec, the full moon is on dec 10th at 14.36...hope that helps??

http://www.lunarium.co.uk/calendar/universal.jsp?calendarYear=2011&calendarMonth=10

Although the moon can be 1 of ur sway factors, like u I tried to get all these things on my side, but u can't help when u Ov...and for me it was so variable! I conceived in the 1st quarter of the new moon.

or this one- http://www.universetoday.com/20177/moon-phases-2011/

some sites the times vary very slightly, but dates stay the same. In jan the new moon is the 23rd?x

Thank you inglewood it has been a massive help to clarify the full new/full moon thing it does go full, new etc. but there is a full and a new moon within every month. So I will most probably never O in a new moon!! Crap. I always seem to O mid month where full moons seem to fall and newmoons are at the end of the month. :(

My cycles have gone 27, 27, 29 and i think i'm going to have another 29 day cycle so pretty regular so no chance of this ever changing Think it would take about a year of days shifting a littlle for me to O in a new moon!!!

Inglewood
November 26th, 2011, 08:02 PM
Lavender, my cycles were odd. I'd ov from day 15-22!! Before my bfp I'd ov around a new moon, but it was getting closer to the full moon each mth. I conceived on 11th aug and the full moon was the 13th! Just made it before the full moon. There are so many other things u can do, just load up on those -ve ions! Not everyone worries about the moon, I did a liitle, but all the other sway factors together are helping things in the right direction! GL x

Congrats DM! You must be over the moon!!!!

All going ok here. Another weekend over. Can't wait for school holidays... I get hubbie home to help for 6 lovely weeks! Mind you probably won't be feeling so sick anymore!! :D

I think your plan sounds great Inglewood. Loads of people over here in Aus ask for the sonographer to write down boy or girl and put it in an envelope... they either can't decide if they want to know or something like your situation. They really shouldn't have a problem with it!!! Its not like you're asking them to do anything illegal or difficult!!!! Fx they are helpful!

I would kind of love a gender scan but really I don't think we can justify the money. My 12 week scan is costing $220 (135pounds - don't have a pound sign on this comp). At least my 20 week scan is free.

Right question for those of you with older kids. I need to buy presents for my 6 year old nephew and I'm a bit stuck for ideas??? Anyone have any good ideas?

Do you know if you are within thegirl/boy territory if you are 2 days away from the new/full moon? Im due to ovulate a few days before it turns to a full moon and not sure if that is still girl territory.

In 2 minds as to wait till the January cycle for first attempt to avoid an August birthday as would only just turn 4 to go into school, lots to decide!

November 27th, 2011, 03:37 AM
Just found the answer to my own question from ingender, the phase of the moon is important from the day of the new moon all the way up to the day before the full moon starts, my possible O would be 3 days before this so still in girl territory - Imso in-decisive!

Pinga dp's son is 6 and mine 8, they wrote their Christmas lists the other day and they were pretty similar!
Altho I don't actually know what cartoons and stuff you have over there.
Our boys like any gun/sword type toys, Ben 10 figures, bakugan, remote control cars, Xbox games, most Disney film merchandise, cars 2 seems to be a big one here at the moment.
Hope that helps

Deaks how's the 2ww going?

We've had a busy weekend looking at houses, birthday parties and general nonsense!
Feeling ever more tired but that's about it for me! Had an appointment to confirm pregnancy, I was given my first bounty pack which makes it feel very real now! :)

Lavenderlime ~ try not to worry about the moon! i'm sure it won't have that much effect and as long as you try to include as much -ions in your sway it will still be a great sway, full moon or not!

Inglewood~ When r u going? I already know there girls though!

Haven't posted over here in awhile. Hope all is good :)
I had my first attempt on Friday! Yay. Felt good about it. Had a very early OPK on CD 12 and I usually O 2 days later. Did cutoff with frequent release. Had DH release that morning and used rephresh. I'm actually wondering if I had a very short surge bc it looks like (based on FF) that I actually O'd that same day. I don't actually think timing sways anyway so I'm not sweating it. Just wondering whats going on, guess I'll know if temp stays high.

Inglewood ~ I'm sure some sonographers would be a bit funny with writing it down, being the NHS and all that, but i also know of lots of uk ladies who's had it written down in an envelope as well without it being an issue so at least it's worth asking if it's the consultant on tuesday :)

Inglewood I did this when I went for my scan, I was so so nervous and also very upset even though I didn't know!!

Prior to the scan I got a piece of paper drew three tick boxes next to them I wrote boy, girl and not clear/unknown ( cant remember). I asked the sonographer if she would put a tick in the box, as I wasn't ready to know and wanted to look at the paper when I felt ready, I felt so stupid I broke down in floods of tears, she initially refused so I asked her to tell DH the gender when I left the room and then she said oh give me your paper and she put a tick in the box! So its definately worth asking !! :)

Do any of the ladies in the uk do the gender cakes? It's a big thing people are doing here. They ask the u/s tech to write boy or girl on paper give it to a bakery and have a cake made with the frosting inside pink or blue. Sometimes they choose to cut it at a party. I couldn't do this unless I knew first. Wouldn't b a good scene if it was blue inside!! Lol

Thanks for the xmas ideas! Have no idea what bakugan is! :) I'll probably buy something from Amazon so I'll have a nosy at what you suggested. I think he's into Ben10.

have my booking in appointment at the hospital on Wednesday. Looking forward to it as it makes it seem more real. Although I've expanded already this time round! I can't believe I have anything showing!!! I'm only 10weeks 5days.

MIL said she'd like to come along to a scan. She also offered to take a day off work if I needed help with any appointments etc. That is the first time she's offered to do something like that. She always comes down to see the kids but help-wise it has never been that much. I kind of feel like I should let her come to one of them. Well the only option is the 12 week scan as I am hoping to find out at the 20 week scan. Can't have her there for that rollercoaster ride.

OMG - your scan is on Tuesday Inglewood!!!!! You must be beside youself! Fx bubbas are behaving and show off their bits!

chocolate - I understand your hesitation with the August situation. My DS2 was born on the 31st August. If we come back to the UK the poor little mite will be expected to go to school JUST after he turns 4. Not sure what I would do...

better go... am struggling with insomnia this pregnancy and it wipes me out in the day....

Pinga ~ insomnia is terrible! i've had my fare share of that in this pregnancy too! hope you manage to get some rest!

Inglewood ~ :D :D i'll be wearing pink for you tomorrow!!

AFM ds1 has been poorly all weekend with what I can only assume is a bad cold and has slept terribly.. he's now also developed a tickly cough which kept him up ALL NIGHT last night so he's been up since 4am this morning. I'm in for a fun day! *zZz*
I'm looking forward to my scan this afternoon. Keeping fx that it goes well!

Wow gender cake sounds fun, good excuse for a gender party lol! I guess if we have an august baby then I would consider doing just part-time days till the January and seeing how he/she coped. But then the 3rd child would probably be ready sooner as seen the brothers go to school so that's reassuring to think like that. My ph has come down to 4.5 on cd 8 yay! If we dtd on cd 10 ish - and ph is 4.5, should I still do replens incase I get egg white cm around ovulation as the sperm may still be there waiting for the egg if I ovulate on cd17 again.... But the replens won't change the cm by the fallopian tubes..... Will also dtd on cd 17 ish so was going to use it on cd16 - guess I should just try it today and see what it does.

I had a look at loads of gender cake reveals on you tube LOVE the idea!! There is a funny one where they both had a cupcake and the bakery messed up and one bit into a blue and one into a pink cupcake!!
But I wouldn't have the patience to wait for someone to bake a cake to find out! lol

Thanks lavenderlime, hoping it stays low and minimal egg white cm as I always dtd when I saw that with the boys and used pre-seed lol so I'm doing the very opposite to how I got the boys. Great to know that about the full moon. I tried to do a search to see how many girls and boys are concieved in december in the uk but couldn't find any figures, be interested to know if there is a huge ratio gap, but think that would make it too easy so can't work like that or wed all get our choosen gender easily and the natural 51/49 ratio wouldn't work anymore

Typed lots then the website updated for 30mins and lost it all...ggggrrrrrr

Had a lovely day visiting my friend with her 3mth old girl (after 2 boys, didn't sway). She's so adorable, hope her cuddles today gives me luck tom!!! Even if it's the sonographer and not the Consultant I'm gonna ask her anyway, nowt to loose and my mum would ask for me if I didn't!! Got the paper with tick boxes and envelope already in my Pg folder. So desp to see then again and getting so nervous, wish my scan was earlier than 11.45pm. If I haven't logged after it's because I have a Physio Class (as I had SPD prev) at 1-2.30pm and might not have time to nip home and post on here. Should be home by 3.30pm once boys from school to update, although have a feeling tom is not my day to find out, don't know why I'm worrying as only 1 of them need to be 'flashing' their bits!!! Suppose I think it's because I'll only be 17 + 5 tom. lol

I LOVED the you tube gender cake videos, although I'd be well pee'd off if I had been the people with pink and blue cupcakes, or plain sponge and had to open the envelope anyway!!!

Sunset, how did the scan go?

I had some with DS2 on a few occassions in the first trimester but all was fine, think mine was where my body hadnt 100% healed after my miscarriage.

Sunset hope you had a fab scan and cant wait to hear if Inglewood gets to find out tomorrow!

We are hoping to dtd tonight, cd8 and then again on cd 15 and hoping that gives us a 3 day ish cut off but not too fussed on what timing that gives us as I know thats the least important. Will be using replens every 2 to 3 days as well and hoping ph behaves!

Do you think I can take some sudafed daily till O day? Took 2 tonight ready for tonight and will again before the next dtd session but what about 1 a day in between as I do usually get egg white cm through out so hoping that will minimize that as not doing any douches apart from replens

Hi all, really need to catch up on all your posts but literally havent stopped for 3 days! DS1 has had a lovely few days for his birthday with today being the actual big day. My MIL and FIL came down for a couple of hours which was nice although they did annoy me. Have slaved over a cake for 2 days and just as ds2 is tucking into his piece, MIL produces chocolate for him out of her bag...i mean, who does that just when homemade cake has been served???!! aaaargh!

Anyway i hope you are all ok, from the posts i have seen, babymad glad the sickness has eased up a bit! Charlie, am thinking of you and looking forward to you being scanned. Hope you will feel reassured :)

AFM, i know i said i wouldnt test early (apparently i cant help myself!!) but it seems like i may have an extremely faint line at 7dpo! Not going to totally hold my breathe especially as the same thing happened before my chemical. Seems too early anyway right? pleeeeease god!

ar sunset, glad your last scan went well and next time you go in will be to meet your bubs!

No i havent done first response as i dont have any. I have one clearblue digital which i thought id save for the morning. I kinda feel silly as it seems very early but i only tested because my cervix has gone tight shut and high and upturned which has only ever happened before my chemical bfp. The line really is very faint but its giving me hope! Someone asked me whether having a chemical would put me off testing early but i would still know if i was having a chemical even if i didnt test as it was sooo painful and the blood was so dark it was almost black and clotted too...yuk! Please let this be my month!

Inglewood ~ so excited for you tomorrow, what time is your scan??
Im doing abit better thanks, ive not been sick in the morning for a week or so, still being sick in the evening when I feel dreadful and struggling with the insomnia as no sleep makes me feel dreadful from the minute I get up. I am eating abit more now, mostly sweet things, teacakes, shortbread, jam sandwiches!! I do feel very low some days as struggling to function is very hard some days, but trying to get through it as best as I can. Sorry didnt mean to write an essay!!
Charlie ~ why dont you call your mw she may get you a scan just to check everything? Hope it all settles down soon x

My scan is at 11.45am, quite anxious!! eek!
Glad ur managing a bit more and like me, the first few things I ate again was sweet things like shortbread, but at least I was sleeping ok, it must be so tough? Any idea what's keeping u awake???

Deaks how very exciting! I can't believe a line happens so early! I hope it gets stronger and stronger over the next few days!

Sunset awww you are so close now! Glad te scan went well!

Charlie sorry the spottings back, hope baby is all ok x

I'm ok, starting to feel nauseous almost all day long, it seems to ease when I eat, great! I'm going to put on tonnes of weight if this continues! But it gives me hope for a girl, I've not had sickness/nausea in either of my pregnancies, I usually suffer with back ache!
I'm off to meet a girl I met at a kids birthday party at the weekend, her son and ds2 played together the whole time! Should be fun! Are any of you guys affected by the teaching strikes? Ds1 has Wednesday off due to strikes, I'm quite happy with that because we get to go and see Arthur Christmas now! :)

Looking for something pink to wear for you today Inglewood:)

Deaks how exciting:D! I read on IG a while back some of the ladies saying the really, really early positives like 7-8 days were with their girls because of the pg hormones being more concentrated with girls!! Please pop on when you test again. So exciting I gave such a good feeling for you this month!

Kell if I remember corectly your training to be a midwife aren't you? (sorry if it's not you) If so would you be able to casually ask a midwife if they've ever noticed any trends with boy to girl ratios in certain months? As this would probably answer some questions that me and chocolate have! :D

CD 30 today so looks like this diet has messed up my cycles as i'm about 15 day PO. I just want to start my next cycle so I can start TTC.

Indigo stil got my FX for you. x

Sorry again ive been MIA! Been popping on daily to have a read but literally have just hadn't time to think what to write. Just wanted to wish inglewood huuuuuuge luck for today to hear pink. So exciting I think I'd be bursting having to count down the hours. Hope they are able and willing to tell you! Xxx
Loads of luck to Deaks too, pleeeaaaase let this be your bfp as you have been waiting for so long. Hope your spotting has stopped Charlie and all is okay. What a worry for you. Not long now sunset! Probably not flown so much for you but seems like no time ago you got your bfp. Soon you will have your dream in your arms and I'm so happy that you will. Hope everyone else's pregnancies are going well and the sickness is easing up. Good luck also for those attempting or on 2ww. Hoping you all get an early Xmas pressie.
Ive been all ok still. Things going great with dp. Not even spoke about any ttc in the future as we've been enjoying just being the boys and us. Just gonna concentrate on being happy with no added stress ATM.

Morning ladies!!

2monkeyboys ~ it's so nice to hear from you again! i love it when you come on and give us an update on how you're doing! so happy to hear that you and dh are going strong and enjoying each other and your boys :) you have to keep popping in and not forget about us hun! xx

Kell ~ yay for MS lol that sounded very strange, but you know what i mean ;) at least it's a good sign and you've got lots of good pregnancy hormones in your body! My ds1 has tomorrow off as well because of the strike, but he's home poorly anyway unfortunately.

Lavenderlime ~ eugh, so sorry to hear that the diet is affecting your cycle. i think this happens to all of us to some degree :( there is definitely a pattern to gender ratio throughout the year. i think there are some articles on here somewhere about it, with october being the boy heaviest month and april being the girl heaviest month? is that what you mean? sorry if not! i have to say that everyone i know who's pregnant now at the same time as me are having girls apart from petal and close friend of mine so it seems to be very girl heavy atm but that might just be my observation from my small circle of friends and not mean anything iykwim

Deaks ~ did you test this morning?

Babymad ~ how are you feeling today?

AFM i've been going through the boys baby clothes this morning and picked out everything newborn gender neutral :) just need to wash it now and pack it down in my hospital bag. I also went upstairs and got down all the girls clothes i've bought which needs washing as well... it was very surreal to get out the newborn baby girl clothes i had lying under my bed from when i was swaying and know i'm actually gonna get to use them. I never for one second believed when i brought them home from the shop that I would one day be removing the tags and wash them ready for my baby girl to make her entrance into the world. very very surreal feeling!!

can I just have a bit of a moan ladies? Feeling crap today probably PMT. Yesterday, after playgroup I was loading DS2 into the car, leaning right in to do up the buckles etc when a car came past (way too fast) and knocked into my door, denting it and shaking me up a bit. I didn't open it as she came by, it was already opened. She then stopped her car and came out yelling and blinding that I shouldn't have the door open in the road (quiet lane, 30mph zone). How else are you supposed to get in and out of a car? should you always creep in from the road side? I was so upset and shaking, I hate being shouted at!
Anyway, insurance company is having issues as she is disputing it and saying it was my fault. Crap day and having been on phone to insurance company for about 45 mins.....ugh :(

Sunset
November 29th, 2011, 10:13 AM
Indigoviolet ~ that's ridiculous! I'm going for my theory test tomorrow afternoon and it states clearly in the highway code that motorists need to slow down and be prepared for car doors to open when there are parked/stopped cars along the way or something similar so no matter what happened here, she is in the wrong! it doesn't matter if you opened your door without looking or if the door was already opened, it's something she should "anticipate" as a driver and obviously keep a good distance from cars parked along the roadside and adjust her speed accordingly. How annyoing!!!

Indigo you are in no way in wrong. She must have being going too fast or not concentrating to hit into an open door!! What a stupid woman plus she hit into YOU not the other way round? There are often obsticles that sick out more into roads such as temp traffic lights or cones for road works or skips etc would she blame the skip company if she'd hit into it? I'm cross on your behalf! As far as the law is concerned she was driving with-out due care and attention.

Don't back down it was not your fault in any way what so ever i'm sure the claim will come through in your favour.

I was stationary in traffic waiting to pull out of a juction and a man was reversing out of his drive on the otherside of the road and reversed right into the side of my car! I was livid as DS1 was only a baby and was in the car with me. Luckily he obviously knew it was his fault and was very sorry and the claim went through easily. Some people really just don't pay enough attention when driving.

indigo - thats awful hun thankgod you werent hurt though. Cant believe the cow is lieing about it - surely the dents in the door might prove you right if it came to it - the fact you werent in the road surely shows the door was already open when she drove into you x i hope her lies come to the surface and she has to eat her words x x

Lol me three Indigo!
I always seem to miss it too Charlie hopefully this will our year!

No sign of AF I have been getting the most awful PMT over the past 6 months which was normaly a sign a few days before AF. But nada feel just normal and no mild cramps nothing i've ordered some pregnancy tests of e-bay but the chance of me being pregnant should only be about 1% as we actually used protection this cycle! :D
Also I got pink spotting when I wiped on CD15 so I think this is a clear indication of when I ovulated unless this was something to do with the anion pads or extra folic acid? who knows? COME ON AF i've never been more impatient for you to arrive!!

is an LP of 16 days even normal? because that's what it'll be tomorrow??

Oh Charlie I got two of the Journals one for each of my sisters and they arrived today. I had a good flick through and it does look fun! :)

Lavender that is a long lp! They say 18 days is almost a gaurentee pregnancy. But saying that my cycles were all over the place when I came off the pill, I think I had a 20 day lp on one of them! Are you charting temps?

chocolate
November 29th, 2011, 12:34 PM
I've been checking this thread every hour lol!! I've just had a big dose of negative ions, lots of rain and wind and got some house plants, chrynsly somethings ... Supposed to be the best for negative ions. I saw a group of mums with babies between 2 months and 6 I guess, 4 boys and 1 girl lol. The boy mums probably were the thinist and the girl mum was chinese but not fat - maybe a lot of white rice and sugar dips lol! So they must have been summer to late summer babies which goes with the ion theory and maybe more mums over summer eat less nutritious summer food like pasta and salad. So I'm upping ions and low cals nutrients to combat the winter :-)

I haven't but wish I had now! I normally don't pay much attention to my cycles as they had been all over the place after DS2 and they normally start with a some spotting so don't get caught out IFYSWIM. so never really payed much attention.
As soon as I got the idea that I wanted to TTC and sway I started writing down my cycles and taking OPK's.

so far i've had 27, 27, 29, and now on a 30+ cycle I think I ovulated on cd 15 each time so had two 12 day LP's and one 14 and well who knows about this one.... Oh well only time will tell!

I'd rather not be preg though as I really, really want to sway! But I'd love some fruit oooh and Marmite on toast mmmmm... and a jacket potato beans and cheese so there's the silver lining if I am! lol

Inglewood ~ so happy to hear the scan went well and that your babies are growing well!! :D i got a bit worried there for a while when we didn't hear from you.. i agree with Babymad, i'm sure they're girls ;) surely boys can't be that hard to spot, and especially not when you've got 2 babies brewing and they can only be of one kind :p so so exciting!! :D 2 weeks will fly by!

Littlemisswilko ~ Great to have you back! i messaged you on FB earlier to see how you're doing :)

My mum was so emotional!! Bless... Dh says the same, must be Girls, or she would of seen 'boy bits'....I'm not sure, really don't want to get my hopes up! My bump is slowly growing, but this past week it's grown alot more. When I went to the physio class today, some mums with 1st babies at 18wks were ALOT bigger than me and I do think I was alot bigger with both boys. The physio was great and gave me some tubigrip for my bump as my pubic bone is a bit achy at times, esp at work as I'm there 12.5hrs. Must get ds1 to 'update' his 'bump' pics!!! I do feel them move more now, like pulses/tiny kicks prob and flutters. It's reassuring.....

I had an elastic band thru my jeans button for a while before I gave in a went to the next size jeans. I kept all my clothes during my 2 and a half weight loss during my sway, so not so bad. Enjoy the shortbread!! worth it!!

I have my secret santa already!! Couldn't wait to go looking!! x

Hi all. Glad the scan went well inglewood! Nice to hear from you 2monkeys. Good luck desk too. Sorry to hear about your car indigo I get more scared of the nutters on the road every day! Had a White van drive into me and drive off on the a3 last month. Good job my car is ten years old! There is a new dent every month where people drive into it. Last week I was doing 60 on a country b road, went round a corner and another nutter was in my lane overtaking at 60! Almost killed my entire family in one instant.

Feeling shattered here. Had some nasty braxton hicks today! Never them with ds1 and only after 38 weeks with ds2. Ready to start maternity leave now but still have three months to wait.

GOOD LUCK SUNSET!!!! :luck::luck::luck:

can I just have a bit of a moan ladies?

Just noticed ut post! OMG!!!! I'd be shaking for hrs after that! Did u call the police?? Goodness sake u were putting ur son safely into his seat and she did that!! Don't u back down, if u were stationary then she was in the wrong! Keep us posted!

I would go get a FRER and use it tomorrow morning and see what you get - if you are getting lines on cheapies then a BFP should definately show up on a FRER. You can often get BOGOF on FRER x I got a really faint line - well i thought i did and dropped it in the bath at 8dpo, didnt test 9dpo then 10dpo with FMU got a line on my FRER but very faint and nothing on a cheapie, NOT pregnant on a digi. SMU a darker definately there FRER and PREGNANT on the digi :D FX for you hun x hope you find your phone charger!!

good luck sunset!!!! you'll pass. Everyone i know do, and i know a few 'slow' people and they passed first time. I only got one question wrong on the question part. The hardest part is the hazard perception part when you have to click at the right time and your not allowed to click to many times. You'll be fine!!!

Deaks FX for a BFP today.

Charlie you wont be the only one not crafting as i think i shall be buying aswell as i dont have the time at the moment to be able to sit and make something!

Just waiting in at the moment for a delievery, got a new bed coming and waiting for the carpet fitter to come this afternoon. Getting sorted with the house. The contents insurance ended up settling at £7000 so we were well happy with that. We opted for BACS instead of waiting for them to replace our stuff as we wanted to make sure we could get everything before xmas! Im so glad we claimed now as my partner was in 2 minds of wether to bother but i kept nagging him and basically told him, we have no option. My house looks so much better now its been done and we bought miles better things! We bought a 51" 3d tv 2 days ago which we wouldnt have bought if they hadnt paid out and brand spanking new dining suite which we wouldnt have been able to afford. Were going to get the house valued after we have finished as we got it for a bargain last october. We paid £64,000 for it and it only had two bedrooms but since weve had it we have had the loft converted into our bedroom and had the bathroom split into a bathrrom and bedroom as it was far too big for just a bathroom. and changed all the deco in all the rooms. the house next door sold for £100,000 in summer and its exactly the same as ours but still only has 2 bedrooms and is slightly smaller than ours.

Anyone watching im a celeb?

Hi all, Sunset hope ur not too nervous about ur test. I didn't need to do the theory test as it was out just after I passed my test in 1996. Makes me feel old!!!! only 32, a young chick really!!!!!! lol

Deaks, thinking of u!! Keep us posted. x

Charlie, I shop bought, I am in NO way crafty and wasn't gonna take any chances...lol I can sew up trouser hems (had to learn that being 5ft 1!!, cubs badges and that's about it!!!

Littlemiss, bet ur house looks so good! I'm still living in my dining room as dh decorates the living room....praying he gets it done soon as I'm sick of this room!! FX you get a good valuation!! Sounds promising! We know we've lost at least £15k in 4.5yrs which is so annoying, esp now we have to buy a bigger house and can't really afford a bigger mortagage! We only have 2 beds, but since we're not happy in the village, not worth the £ or time going up the loft! When we bought the house, I was trying to convince myself I was happy with the 2 boys who could share a room for a while till we went up the loft, who was I kidding!!!! And now we'll have 4 kids!

Lavender, I had longer cycles every other mth, noticed a pattern. Usually 28/29 days one mth then 31-33 the next, was weird. How long are urs normally?

Good luck sunset, hope it goes well!

Deaks, if you are testing late in the day just try not to drink too much before you take it so its concentrated, I read it takes at least 24 hours or more for the hcg hormone to double so the tests wont get darker until then, sure it was between 2 to 3 days so dont fret yet but know why you would!

Well my opk's seem to be getting darker, only on cd10 and anticipated ovulating on cd17 at the earlierst lol, never mind, if it comes early then it comes early will just make sure OH has a super hot bath and leaves his swimmers as far outside as possible lol. Only dtd on cd 8 so there wouldnt be much of an abstinence but cant be bothered with asking him to release before as it took some effort to get a reaction lol from him last time. Either pressure lol or the licorice root!

Deaks ~ i tested with an IC first thing in the morning and had a line but it was very faint so i thought it was an evap line. well so far it's gone 27,27,29 now 31+

When I was younger think I had very regular 28 day cycles. But from the age of 15-20 I was either on the pill or depo.

From the age of 20-23 I was either pregnant or breast feeding so no AF.

I guess it's just my poor diet or something sending my cycles out of whack. Oh well the longer AF takes to arrive the longer i'm on the diet I suppose before my first attempt ** silver lining **

Sunset well done!:) :) :)

That's what I think, since I've lost so much weight, although Dh tonight was shocked to see my bare bump!! and said it's increased alot this past week. I could meet people in the street and they can't believe I'm almost 18wks pg with twins. Give it time, the whale mamma is on her way!!! lol Prob since I am eating better, although have rubbish appetite. Thankfully the sickness has completely gone (most days) unless I am on nightshift or the day after, the tiredness makes me sick at 5-6am then most of the next day on/off. I posted a bump pic a few wks ago with my scan pics as ds 1 wants to make a 'bump diary' for amusement!!

Deaks fx for a stronger bfp!

Inglewood we have a two bed as well, and will have 4 children in the second room at times, ds1 is with us 50% of the time and dp's son stays for a couple of nights a month (not enough in my opinion but his mum is an idiot!)
We are looking at 3/4 bed homes at the moment but my house is in negative equity because if the recession so we need to save a deposit, that's going to take a while! Dp is a first time buyer so we can get a house with a 5% deposit but even that's around £10000!

I have a question about morning sickness, I've never been a nauseous person in pregnancy so this is all new! I've not actually been sick, just feel like I've come off a Waltser or some other fair ground ride! Does the feeling get worse as pregnancy progresses?

It's dp's birthday today, his mum is coming to have ds2 tonight so we can have a nice meal! We go to the same place every year! It's lovely! So looking forward to eating there nom nom lol! It's where we got engaged as well!

I went to see Arthur Christmas yesterday with ds1! It was a great film! I cried lol, I'm quite sad really that ds1 is at the age where he questions whether Santa exists. He's 8 and growing up so quickly I'm just sad he's not my baby anymore!

Morning all Charlie your Haribo facebook status made me laugh last night! Almost outing yourself already!
Your also a bad vegetarian like me that eats Haribo too :D.

I get a ribbing at work because of my haribo addiction, the fact that we have a leather sofa, I wear leather shoes and UGGs but the one that is crazy is because I have a leopard print scarf??? Apparently vegetarians shouldn't like animal print?? It's only a pattern FFS not like i'm wearing a fox stole! Some people are crazy!

I had a really early night last night as my production levels have been about zero recently the house is a mess and I have so much washing to put a away. So better crack on hope you all have a lovely day. :)

It's December :D :D and I can officially say I'm due next month! how scary is that! :cheer:

Kell ~ it's hard to say really as everyone is different. I know of people who's been sick all through pregnancy, but for me MS always goes away around the 12 week mark.. this time however it seems so have come back a bit in the last few weeks.. I feel a bit nauseous sometimes in the evening, but luckily nothing like when I was in my first trimester. Deaks recommended me to eat a digestive bisquit first thing on a morning before getting out bed and it definitely helped alot! I tried ginger bisquits which is also recommended to combat MS, but they made me feel worse.
Happy birthday to your DH! :) enjoy tonight!

Inglewood ~ yay for a new pregnancy week! and how cute, 2 sweet potatoes :D your whale comment made me laugh! :D

Lavenderlime ~ You don't fancy popping over to put my washing away as well ;) i have tons of washing to put away and I just can't motivate myself to do it lol :/ need to get my butt in gear!
any sings of AF yet? did you do a pregnancy test?

Deaks ~ did you test this morning? :)

hehe lavender you post made me laugh - yep i allow haribo and we have a secondhand leather sofa and i wear leather shoes too :D you can argue that you are not vegan so leather being an side product is ok and being a vegetarian is only not eating meat....nothing to do with the rest of your life. As for the scarf WTF!! lol

hope you all ok today i have so much to do and no energy to do it bleugh.......DEAKS update please :D

I do try and explain that I am not a vegan and leather is a bi product.. etc. sigh but they are clearly just crazy... :D

I got a massive pot of what I thought was Yeo Valley fat free pro bio natural yoghurt and was pleasantly suprised at how creamy and yummy it was compared to Tescos own brand. Only to actually just read the packaging properly today and find out it's the full fat stuff and is also massively high in salt for yoghurt. Damn it it was soo good too, that will teach me to do a food shop at 11pm:D

Sunset still no AF 17dpo today. Pregnancy tests haven't arrived yet but don't feel pregnant but nor do I feel like af is just about to start either. Only time will tell but I am really hoping AF arrives before the pregnancy tests!

We are planning on putting the house for sale after xmas, as soon as the weather allows us to finish the garden and paint the outside of the house. We couldn't squeeze 4 kids in the boys room now and we could fit 2 cribs, but not cots in our room, so I'm praying we sell before they need the full size cots.

I had all day sickness with ds2 badly till 18wks and it was worse this time but ended at 14wks. It's kinna like how you describe but I was actually vomiting with the dizzy spells! Hot water and crackers was all I ate till 14wks! Never had it at all with ds1!!

My ds1 is 9 and still believes in santa, although dh is convinced he's a bit sussed this year but won't ask in fear of no presents if u don't beleive in santa!!! lol

Have a lovely meal, Happy Birthday to ur DP.

Sunset, wow, next month!!! Or end of this is she comes early like before?? A xmas or new yr baby????

I had a nice wee morning with my mum at a mega cheap designer sale, spent £22 and you should of saw what I got for the boys 3 hoodies, 2 t-shirts, 1 pair addidas trainers for ds2, trespass cycle bag thingy with 2 water bottles for Dh and a fat face necklace for me. Only thing was I got home an realised I got the wrong size hoodie for ds2 and can't take it back :( he'll need to wait a year or so!!! lol If Dh is home sharp from work for lunch I could nip back and swap it before he has to go back with the car. :( Silly me, sure I had the right size and I only picked up one for ds1 as they were £2, was really wanting it for ds2!!! grrr, annoyed.

Lots of preg women at the sale, trying to squeeze past each other....was funny.

Yay Indigo!! Congratulations :-). Does anyone do opk's early in the am? Did one at 930am and it was almost positive but are we suppossed to do them between 11 and 7? Did one just now but it was lighter, either my body geared up early and stopped, or I drank too much and didn't hold my wee enough. Confused! Will do another soon and not drink or wee this time!

Funny thing is charlie I am normally a chocoholic and I can't eat it at all since I've been pg!....very strange as I normally can't live without it :)
I too am living on toast with jam, I've never ate so much bread!! I need to start exercising or i'll be the size of a house....bread always makes me put a lot of weight on so getting paranoid already!
The sickness has eased for me too, even though I still feel sick 24/7 which is hard going. Ive not been sick in the morning for awhile now but evenings are still horrible.
I've just done the school run and I could just go to bed....no motivation to sort dinner or the pile of washing which has been looking at me for two days!!! :)
Has the spotting stopped now?

Hi all,

I have been told this is the place to be from my introduction...lol! Im Leanne 27 years old married and mummy to 3 beautiful boys Elliott, Benjamin and Oliver. I dont yet feel my family is complete, i am in need of some pink. We hopefully will be ttc sometime next year maybe March time and will be trying to sway girl.

I have been taking note of my cycles for past few months not in any detail tho, so i have now purchased some ovulation tests and also going to be taking my BBT temp. My cycle length isnt the same each month, so i am assuming i will ov on different cd each month?? Can anyone tell me on which cd i should start testing for ov? My last 4 cycles have been 35 days, 30 days 29 days and 30 days.

I did try cut off with my last ds but think i got i wrong due to not really knowing when i ov(wouldn't change him for the world tho).

Thanks Leanne xxx

OH and Happy 1st December everyone, my boys were so excited to open their advent calendars this morning...bless them x

Will do another test in the am....eeeekkkk, I'm scared!!

Indigo see I knew you had baby brain!!:D Yay for the line:)
Test again with a digital if you have one!

Happylea glad you found us on page one of the thread there is a roll call that says a little about us all ages, ds's etc.
If you get the ebay cheapies you could test from say day 11 at about 2-4pm and tape them to some paper and sometimes you can see them fade in (get darker) until you get a full on positive. They can be a bit tricky to read and see a true positive but I got about 80 for £3 so for that price can't complain. This month i'm going to back up with a digital so i'm 100% sure when I think I'm going to ovulate. If you go to PeeOnAStick.com (http://www.peeonastick.com/) it has great OPK info!

Well My pregnancy tests arrived today and i'm happy to say that I got a BFN and at 17DPO I'm pretty sure it's not a false negative. I'm also struggling to think how I would have got pregnant as we were extra careful. This will be the only time that will be happy to type the words BFN but I really wanted to have a proper attempt with the right amount of time behind me on the diet and sups!!
Now for Af to arrive tomorrow please!

Hi Happy Lea, you will enjoy this thread, the ladies are all FAB! I had very erratic Ov dates and used to start with cheap ov tests from day 10 and nearer, around day 14 would use the clearblue digi tests. My cycles were 28-33 days roughly and I'd ov between days 16-24, very variable. But always started around day 10 with the ov tests (just incase). They are so cheap to start at day 1o and I could keep the expensive ones for nearer Ov. Good to keep check of ur temp too as it's good to identify Ov, usually I noticed when my temp went up I had then ov'd and the tests backed that up. I tracked 6mths cycles. GL and welcome! x

Indigoviolet ~ congrats hun!!! sounds super promising :D :D you have to update us as soon as you have tested in the morning :D eek!!!

HappyLea ~ welcome!!! Glad you found us hun! :) If I was you I would buy the internet cheapies and start testing from cd11 so you can't miss your LH surge :)

Deaks ~ :( :( ((hugs)) I was so excited for you and have been checking GD all day for an update.... i wish there was something i could or say to make it feel better :( just don't give up hope yet, it's only 10dpo so you could definitely still get a bfp! did you receive my private message btw?

Inglewood ~ yep, i'm definitely expecting a christmas/new years baby :) It would be funny if this baby decided to stay put until 40 weeks lol I would so never expect that.

Babymad ~ bump is doing fine :) how are you feeling in your pregnancy now? not long until you'll feel little kicks :D
