Hi everyone! I was a regular contributor here back in 2015 while swaying pink (we got our absolutely fabulous DS3 who is THE light of my life!) And I'm back again in the middle of our attempts. I've taken a back seat as I find I get very caught up in the whole ttc business so I'm going "laidback"style on it this time lol!
I'm just hoping for some advice! I am not doing opks (first time ever!) And we are going e4d with our first attempt on Sunday which was CD8. I took Clomid 50mg days 3-7, that's a first too. I'm also on a double dose of penicillin for a bad bout of tonsillitis (and almost 3 weeks into Eltroxin 25mg for a recently diagnosed under active thyroid) so my dilemma is: which version of e4d should we go for? 96 or 72 hours? If it's 72 we have an attempt today (Wed) and Sat. If 96 we do tomorrow and Mon. I have NO clue about O and don't want to do OPKs. CM is clear and wet. Cramping and back ache like usual symptoms when O is approaching. I usually don't O til CD17-19 ish. Today is CD11. I conceived my 3 boys by having an attempt at +opk.
Anyway I'm losing the run of myself here. Any advice is much appreciated. Trying not to get worked up which I know is the beauty of e4d but can't help but try to figure out when I "should" be Oing! Is it any wonder I'm a mom of boys with this awful OCD lol!!

Pbn: we added in an attempt yesterday just in case but I felt like body already ovulated. Hope i am right this time hahaha.

This morning, i woke up once at 5 to use restroom, took temp and it was 97. Back to sleep and take temp again at my regular time and it shows 97.45....FF showed same crosshair with either temp, but I dont think today temp is reliable enough to tell if I have o'ed or not. Fx for good temp tomorrow. Ughhh this is so frustrating.

I'm just doing one attempt at + opk and that's it! I don't have any control over what donor does so who knows if he's gonna fr or what lol
For those ttc girl and not doing e4d, what are you doing? I'm gonna do one attempt at + opk. But I'm not sure how the other BD should be done. Obviously itll be protected, but not sure bout the FR and abstain.

Well, my RE is cancelling my cycle this month. :( after my estrogil levels showed 120 and my u/s showed 3 cysts currently (I had 6 before so I thought all would be fine).... such a bummer. I was caught off guard when the nurse called or I would have asked more questions. All she said was to call back on CD1 of my next cycle and we will test again.... and she told me to rest this cycle. Urgh. Is there anything I can do to help diminish the cysts faster? I dont want to have the next cycle cancelled.

Hi hopper and welcome back! It's strange to see former 2ww'ers back ttc, feels like just yesterday we were all starting together [emoji3] So I would probably try the 96 hour version for a couple cycles as it leans slightly more pink then move onto the 72 hour version. It has better conception odds while still being (slightly less) pink [emoji4]

Think I’ll go for it, plan was to do e4d plus one at positive. So sticking to tomorrow’s as well as tonight’s would be exactly that. It was that or drop clomid, & atomic thought clomid plus one attempt was the stronger girl sway.

And yes you’re right about me changing the plan but I just had the feels but not positive enough cm signs to rely on [emoji24]

And what about that being boy zone with sperm count?In extreme circumstances maybe... it's more like up to 72 hours and I think it starts dying off pretty quickly between 48-72. Especially when swaying pink as the environment is more hostile from swaying so it's not providing a home of happy for the swimmers so to speak.

So glad you said the thing about only being 2 attempts, that’s what I thought, then freaked out that it could be 3. I figure I haven’t gotten pregnant on one attempt, & such long time on diet & taking clomid is like you just mentioned too I’m pretty hostile down there [emoji12] although again I couldn’t help but have a big o

Those ttc girl. My BMI is now 23.3 after le diet. I lost about 7 lbs (,1 month) and I'm concerned it's not enough for an August try. Should I wait more months? I see people with BMI of 21. Not even sure that is possible. Or if I even want that.

Atomic has said before it's not all about losing weight at the time of conception so I think you're fine if you want to stay around where you are? You may need to go to the upper limits of the diet to maintain from here. How long have you been doing le again? As with any diet there's usually a large drop followed by lesser amounts then it plateaus [emoji53] but maybe start increasing your intake now? This is more an atomic question though [emoji848] do you have a thread running you can ask her directly? Or even create a new one?

I know she told me she likes ppl at BMI of 21. But in reality do ppl really get there? And should I keep waiting until its lower? Seems crazy. Back in 2015 I got down to a bmi of 21 from approx 23 so it's definately doable and I sat just before the middle range of what's healthly. So at my lowest weight I was 62kg bmi 21 and the healthy weight range for my height was 54.5kg - 74kg. I preferred to be around the 64-66kg though and geez I wish I was there now [emoji23] Not sure if that's any help?

Oh and no I wouldn't wait until its lower. If you'll have been on the le diet for 12+ weeks when it comes to ttc august start ttc regardless of weight as you may not conceive the first couple cycles so its always good to have that little bit of weight as a buffer.

Raisinggentlemen e4d is simply a bd pattern that pink swayers start using if one attempt at pos opk (which is always recommended at the beginning) doesn't work. E4d 96 hour version leans more pink but has lower conception odds and e4d 72 hour version has slightly less pink but bwtter conception odds. Then if that fails its time for e4d plus extra attempt at pos opk. The additional bding exposes our bodies to swimmers more frequently which means our bodies reaction to those sperm 'invaders' softens over time and is less severe giving the swimmers a better chance to reach where they need to go before the egg releases. Because sperm has a lesser life span in a hostile environment doing e4d either version is basically the equivalent of one attempt in the fertile window that *counts*. Let me know if I haven't answered exactly what you're asking [emoji4] sometimes my perception of what is being asked and what has been asked is skewed [emoji12]

I got my actual results online today (yesterday they were over the phone) and everything is improving significantly so maybe these couple months off will result in no cysts what so ever and it'll give us the best chances. Thank you pbn3! That makes sense. I have never heard of e4d before so it was confusing. The only thing that wasn't answered (I think)- doesn't e4d increase dh sperm count? We are striving to lower his sperm count, right?

It's 12 dpo and BFN ladies! I tried with Frer on FMU. Temps have not dropped too much, so I'm holding out on a shred of hope!
This is actually day 45 of an unusually long cycle! I don't even know when my period will be expected. Sort of in limbo.
But I read that 8-10 Dpo is the common period for implantation, and hcg levels are detected 2-3 days after implantation, using the early tests. Based on that pattern, I'm losing faith that I will be pregnant this cycle! I think most people here get a BFP by 12dpo. My symptoms of sore boobs etc are infact fading away!
Anyway, one can only hope and speculate at this point :)

Well, my RE is cancelling my cycle this month. :( after my estrogil levels showed 120 and my u/s showed 3 cysts currently (I had 6 before so I thought all would be fine).... such a bummer. I was caught off guard when the nurse called or I would have asked more questions. All she said was to call back on CD1 of my next cycle and we will test again.... and she told me to rest this cycle. Urgh. Is there anything I can do to help diminish the cysts faster? I dont want to have the next cycle cancelled.

I guess this site focuses more on one attempt than sperm count? Sorry if I am annoying you all! My attempt is coming up next week (I hope) and I plan on doing e7d but I worry I will miss o bc I don't know when I will O since I just came off bcp. I'm using opks of course but hard to time abstaining with that, ya know?

How long have you been trying hdp?

This is only month three for me and it's driving me nuts!! Especially as with both boys I got preg first month using femara. This cycle especially has left me speechless because I even mirrored our exact bd pattern in hopes of repeating our successful formula, so to speak.

I got a bfn 13dpo and a temp drop. AF should be here by tonight. I'm not testing again until I miss my period (if it ever happens...i really feel so old and hopeless lol)

DH and i spoke last night and he agreed to continue but not as strict with the bd...so no "oh the opk is positive we must bd!" Lol
We will try for e4d pattern, which to be honest i'm not very hopeful for because we did that last cycle and I just don't think it's for us and I feel like taking femara and doing opks will be a waste. So next cycle will just be reeeeally laid back

Ladies, just a reminder when you have an atomic-specific question please always start a new thread and ask me because it's really easy to misunderstand some of this stuff. Sometimes I just happen to spot something I can explain, but other times I won't see the q's in the support threads and it's best when wondering to start another thread to ask me.

I don't want anyone to start off at e7d. I like people to start off at one attempt. One attempt at positive OPK is much better than e7d because you know when to have the attempt instead of just taking a blind shot once a week.

The reason I recommended e7d for you personally, Raising, was because you were coming off the BCP and did not necessarily know when you were going to ovulate. Since during our first exchange I wasn't sure how you were planning to determine ovulation, I will sometimes use e7d as a way for people to be in with one attempt every week when I have no idea when they're going to ovulate and either OPK do not work for them or else they don't want to use them.

But this is not my standard advice for everyone because like I mentioned above. e7d is not a method that I use widely because it does cut odds of conception beneath what I feel to be acceptible. Since one attempt does make it harder to conceive, e7d makes that even harder still since at least with pos OPK we have a pretty good shot at being in the ballpark.

So, I want everyone to start off doing one attempt either 1-2 days before ovulation or at positive OPK. Then after having given that a solid try, go to e4d. If you're in the boat where you may not O for a long time and/or OPK don't work for you, then yeah, e7d is an option, but it's not something that I recommend for most people. :)

But temp could also be affected by othee reasons too like if you have restless sleep, you opened your mouth while sleeping or temp was taken at different time, etc. Lets wait and see how temp next day looks.

It is too light to be my first day of period. But I'm not just in/off spotting in pink or brown. When I wipe I see blood. If I pee, its kind of stringy, unlike my period. I'm also the lucky few that has no cramps during period, but been cramping a lot since yesterday. Temps attached below. I co sleep with my kicking toddler, so my Temps are never 100% accurate!

If I dont conceive in the following cycles I may think of getting Clomid (while being monitored by OBgyn) dont want any multiples, especially BOY multiples! Ive got 3 of them.

I concieved all of them with one attempt, but always with boy friendly diet and lifestyle.

Im a bit wary if I am capable of producing a girl but my mom and mother in law both have 2 sons and 2 daughters. I cant see why I cant [emoji51]

I keep think I'm being crazy and keep checking to make sure I will be ok with another boy. All I'm doing is diet and exercise. So its scary. On the bright side I'm dieting and exercising for the first time in my life. So FX it is enough. I'm so scared for that gender scan whenever I finally get a bfp. I sat through 5 alone and my heart could barely handle sitting through it. I saw boy every time. But I'm going to try my best. If it's not meant to be, not even clomid will make it happen. And 6 boys.... well, I hope I will be ok.

I met a woman 2 days ago that was with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She said "you know, I'm the proud mother of 4 boys" i smiled and said that's so nice. She didnt know anything about my boys. Then She said "and now I have an overwhelming amount of granddaughters. One son had 12 daughters" my mouth almost fell off. 12 daughters. Lol. Impressive. She said she got two boys in there after 6 girls. 14 kids.

My only deal is how do we know it is really clomid we are getting? It makes me worried that we are just getting a sugar pill lol. Another thing is I JUST got off bcp and so I don't want to do too much to dry up cm as I am pretty dry already (not hardly enough to even test!). It's just hard to know what to do and this is totally our last chance :nails:

Clomid can cause cysts, so if you want to use it it needs to be under supervision of a doctor if u have history of ovarian cysts.

To be honest I would rather tell a couple white lies about how long I've been ttc in the hopes of a prescription than buy medication online. That would make me very nervous too. However I *think* there's a quite a few ladies that have bought online and maybe you can private message them? As far as the Clomid thing - my personal feeling is I'd be very nervous about buying it online or taking it without being monitored, especially if you're concerned about multiples! I was on it for 4 cycles (all with doctor prescription), 50 mg only, was monitored via ultrasound with two of those cycles and with both of those monitored cycles I developed two large, dominant follicles. The second of those ended up being my current twin pregnancy - the first one I don't know if I ended up ovulating one egg or two (got pregnant that cycle but miscarried). So even being monitored I ended up with multiples! Anyways I just think Clomid is one of those meds you want to be really careful with! I have no experience buying pills online but it was make me nervous as well.

Ladies, my weird cycle is never ending! It was 45 days long and O at CD 33. My usual cycles are 32 days and O around CD 19.

So I got my AF yesterday 13 dpo (lighter than usual), and some spotting the day before. I was relieved to reset the cycle. Today my AF is tapering, as if it's the last day of my period. I usually have a proper 5 day period. I've never had a 2 day period. Does this count as a period? I really don't want my July cycle to be messed up too! My Temps are still high, and I have flu symptoms so I'm not sleeping well. I'm sort of bummed out, that I can't even bank on the dreaded AF to do its job!

I know there are lots of things to worry about. But have lots of prayers, keep possitive mindset. The mind is very strong, and you will pass down the positive feelings and love to your baby as well and it will grow strong and steady. Believe and it shall happen. Hi,
I wanted your opinion... I was planning on 2 day cut off for my girl, besides excercise and my mediocre diet [emoji51], but Ive seen so many failed sways with this cut off...

Since I concieved my 3 sons on or around O day, I wanted to be a bit far off

Also, Im on cycle day 7 and my OP strip is getting somewhere near positive... I normaly ovulate on CD 12...
Any thoughts? Could I ovulate this early?!

Happymummy that's a ways off yet. Plus your opk can be darker after af finishes and fade out before coming back in to pos. I'd wait and see how tomorrows looks [emoji4] And yes it would very very likely be too early for o coming. Not impossible but rare.

Thanks. Hubs is saying that he's calling it... im pregnant. I was crying watching a COPS show and someone was getting arrested and asking for his mom. Completely out of character and kind of hilarious, but sure enough...crying. last cycle he thought i was pregnant too though. I think he is starting to want it now too.

I dont know much but it looks great! I think we only worry about temps dropping below coverline. Not sleeping well, waking up earlier, any changes in sleep can change the temp. I wouldn't worry at all!

Oh ladies I'm so upset! DH has a stomach bug and we can't dtd today! I want to cry!!! I have EWCM yesterday and awful cramping all day today. It's CD15, first cycle Clomid days 3-7. We had our last attempt on CD11 which I reckon is way too early. He's working a 12 hour shift tomorrow from 9-9 so I think we will miss O entirely. What a waste of this cycle and a Clomid cycle at that. I'm actually crying here thinking about it :(

Worst case scenario, still have an attempt after his work tomorrow. You never know if it is too late or not. Thanks for all the love ladies. It's truly appreciated!! I think today is O day judging by the cramping, high soft and slightly open cervix, not much CM but I'm sure Clomid is to thank for that. Cervix didn't seem to be as open yesterday so maybe just MAYBE we may get another chance! DH is gone to work, he's still quite poorly but hopefully he will be ok later. I fear I wasn't quite as sympathetic as I should have been so not even sure how he will feel about trying later....Should have thought of that yesterday but in my defense I was so freaking upset!!

It’s so hard isn’t it hopper when it doesn’t come together as easily as we’d like & how we plan. Hurdles pop up everywhere, you’re not alone in your disappointment and difficulty in sympathising with the family, I’m the worst. My poor kids are sick and I’m all like “stay over there, cover your mouth....” I’m a germaphobe at the best of times but when ttc its peak ocd panic & everyone feels it. Don’t be too hard on yourself, just look forward to getting another bd in when you can, good luck!

Hopper: that really sucks! Something similar happened to be in my second cycle and I cried and explained to my husband why I was so upset and he found his energy and we got our attempt in. On their own, I don't think they fully understand how it feels to waste a medicated cycle. I pray for things to turn around later today and you get your attempt. But as pbn3 says, things have a way of working out in the best time...maybe you need an extra month on diet? Maybe everything will line up better next month. In any event, it is upsetting and I am sorry you have to go through this.

Hey everyone! My day is never complete before checking in with you lovely ladies. Hopper, I'm so sorry, we all get it. Everything you are feeling is what we would all be feeling. Except me. Lol. You seemed to handle it way more gracefully then me. Hopefully today's attempt will be good too. I find that even when we think we know where we are in fertility, there's so many places we can be wrong. I have been positive about O and been just enough wrong about the times. And exact amount of hours the egg survives and when O starts and ends. I hope it works out. And my only comfort in all this is always my faith that everything happens for a reason and hopefully there will be better timing or better luck getting the dream gender at a different time. Still, huge hugs!

I'm on the treadmill hoping my weight continues to drop... trying to stay off of this because it becomes obsessive, damn boy mom genes. But I need to see how everyone is... and see how I can improve my sway.

They left yesterday (sun) so you would think it would have gone back up today if it was the stress. Now I'm packing to head out of town for some relaxation.
As for you, not too early for implantation. Its usually 6-10 dpo. And you are 6. But i noticed you had a similar dip last month at 5dpo...so your norm might be a secondary estrogen surge like me. Hoping its implantation though. [emoji39]

Been a bad couple of days for me. Down with a random fever, chills, shivers and sleepless since Friday. I had a very light 2 day period, that would put me at CD4. Maybe we will be cycle buddies this month?
As I've had a fever, FF Temps are not reliable. I just taking it easy and not thinking about TTC or tracking until I back to normal.
I had an abnormally long cycle in June and truth be told, I'm happy my body decided to put away conception, until it had a normal cycle + healthy egg.

It’s helped to ditch temping a bit sleep wise although I’ve started to wake up a few times Again. [emoji19] maybe my subconscious wanting to know more!?!
