Ok it's official, I'm super uncomfortable! It sucks that my brain knows there's still weeks to go but my body knows it's at full term. I'm 36 weeks tomorrow so I'll post of pic of my monstrous belly and you can all revel in the horror of it all lol

Jen: At least it isn't summer, then you would really be miserable. I hope baby Charlie listens to Mommy and Daddy and gets his butt in the right position, he might as well get use to it. Can't wait to see the newest belly pic.

Man it has been some hellish weather here the past couple days. We have had so many storms and rain that I am having a hard time standing up in all the mud, much less walking in it to feed the animals. On a better note, the baby has been moving quite a bit. It is still really fun at this stage, but when you at 35+ wks it gets a little uncomfortable. I guess I should just be thankful it isn;t twins like the kids wanted.

Heat I can handle it's the pain in my pelvis, back and hips that's killing me. He's leaning on the inside of my left hipbone and pushes every now and then, it kills.

We've had a crap winter here. Only 4 days with actual snow on the ground, we had full lawn at Christmas, brownish lawn yes but still lawn. Quite depressing.

OMG 3P1B that is FAB!!!!! I am so happy for you! Yay Charlie! Do you have to do anything to make sure he stays put? And now they will let you just go into labor whenever, right?

Babydes! I think about you often lady, so glad to see you around :) I'm glad to hear it has been a great pregnancy for you! I'm better. Not necessarily accepting this as the end though, which is kind of the thing that I guess has helped. I keep thinking we will just have a 4th. But then I get terrified at having 4th and still not having a son; I mean, I don't know what I could possibly do differently next time except hope for luck to fall on my side, and I'm 3 for 3 on not getting my DG so don't have a ton of hope that I'm lucky in this area of life. I can't say I'm super thrilled to have another girl but I'm definitely happy to have another child, and that's been the best progress because for awhile I just totally regretted the pregnancy. Now I'm at least glad we've got one coming, which is good since she's coming soon, LOL!

I had an u/s again today to check baby's growth and not surprisingly she's 90% in size for gestational age right now. So we have a follow-up in 4 weeks, since now til birth is when they gain the most weight. But the fluid levels are still good, which is the danger with larger babies, so that's a plus.

Yeah, Jen!!! I am so happy for you. It must have been that breech that was making you so uncomfortable.

B: Wow, you are going to have a big one. Will they induce you early? How big was your last one?

3Pink1Blue
January 12th, 2012, 09:11 PM
B- now it's all about walking. Gravity will help to lock him down.

WP- it probably was but now I feel differently about it. Before I was afraid it was his hips locking into mine, now I'm hoping it's his head locking down.

WP DD2 was 9lbs 2 oz; it doesn't really worry me to have another one that size, but I sure would prefer we don't go far over that! She was born the day after her due date.

My doctor said we can just wait and see on whether we do the induction. I was induced with DD1 (2 days after due date) and had a great experience, but it was really nice with DD2 just to go into labor on my own, and since I know I can semi-comfortably birth a larger baby I'm not worried about it, so will likely wait as long as possible... I'd definitely prefer not to have an induction earlier than my due date but I also don't want a 10 lb baby. So we'll see how it goes!

Jen you should sleep standing up for the next couple of weeks :)

Tink: Yep, I just keep thinking 18wks is so far off, but I am right behind you. This pregnancy is flying by.

Jen: How do you know when Charlie is "locked" in place?

Has anyone seen Capricorn on here lately?

Thank goodness it is going to be a slow weekend around here. I feel like I am still recoverying from the holidays. I think laundry will be the hightlight of my weekend :)

Jen I have heard that walking stairs helps them to settle down into position, and also walking with one foot on the sidewalk and one down on the street, lol. Also, deep squats will help too, if you can do them.

Crashing-
B- 9lbs 2oz and 10lbs are so close and won't cause any change in a birth:) The baby doesn't gain bone size, just fat, and fat squishes:) Inducing a baby that's not in an optimal position will lead to WAY more problems than pushing out a chunker...JMO! ;)

MFC: Don't worry. If they didn't tell you to worry then there is nothing to worry about. Sometimes you implant late or it just took a little longer for your bean to get suggled into your lining and he is a couple days behind....no big deal. I would only worry if your were 1-2 wks behind. Plus, they are measuring a tiny little bean. I was 16wks and the head and leg measurements were completely different....by 5 days.

Thanks WP, My Dr. told me the same thing.

Ah, fat babies ... I don't really mind it; I'll just wait and see how we're looking as her due date approaches. She'll get out of here somehow, lol. I finally got a car seat and a crib so we're as ready as we'll ever be. I gave away my old stuff; I was tired of it and thought getting new things would help at make this feel like a fresh experience even though it's girl #3.

I can't believe how far along you are MFC! Wow, it'll be nub time soon! Do you have it scheduled?

WP I can't believe you have family trying to give you name ideas! That would drive me batty. I guess that's one good thing about not being close to family

I think CA is likely close to finding out gender and my bet is she's trying not to obsess. FX for her, I am sure she'll come back and update, hopefully with another blue to continue the streak.

Hope.ful I agree with WP! I've been shocked at how fast pregnancy #3 goes. And I for one could have lived a fulfilled life with no little girls, LOL ... seriously it just never appealed to me. But when I think about how great it is to be a mom and some of the really incredible things I've seen my friends achieve as adults, I'll know I will love having adult daughters. Long run perspective helps me :)

Begonia: That was a great idea to buy a few new "big" items. I myself was going to go out and buy a bunch of cute soft baby shoes.....I love soft shoes. You have no idea how much a close family thinks they need to "help" you with a name or at least know right away what the name is. We don't even know what we are going to name him yet....then they really think they need to give name ideas. My dad for example....."my father's name was Donald and my favorite aunt's name was Rimona, you should pick one of those." After I shot those down he went on with other family names....Iona, Bernice, Clarince, LaVern, and the list goes on and on. We have 3 boy first names in the running and are really trying to use a family name on my father's side for the middle name, boy this could be hard.

Jen: What is your baby room theme? If you have one.

My 20wk scan is on Feb 3rd, it will be here before I know it. Oh, and the OBGYN office called and said that a have a bacterial infection and have to take antibiotics for a week. She said it isn't a big deal not contagiuos or anything, but I never have anything and I was freaked out. I mean I never even had a yeast infection until I was preg with #3. I know everything will be fine, but I just hate taking medicine.

Wp - dh's dad was full of horrible family names. They are none to thrilled we're naming him after my family.

Here's the crib and dd3s bedspread. They share a room so we went more for matching print then an overall theme. And yes we'll be painting the purple walls this spring.

I've had 2 run a week late, by then I was begging them to leave lol I've been lucky, with the exception of dd3 and her reflux I've had very good newborns so I'd rather they come out. Delivery and that sweet face is the best cure for GD. There's no more denying it, just snuggle, love and move on. That said the first few days of dd3's life was hard for me, I was so torn between loving her so much yet wishing she wasn't a her. It didn't take long before I gave in to her, found others with GD to talk to and moved on with my three lovelies. I spent way to much money on matching outfits and took tons of pics of my three ladies together. It'll be tough for a few but you'll fall in love with it :)

I had a great appt today! I'm measuring a solid 39/40wks, he is head down and not looking like he's going to turn again and I'm GBS NEGATIVE!!! I officially can go into labor anytime with no concerns!

Ok, so I need some opinions here. We are having a horrible time deciding if we are going to find out the baby's gender at 20 wks. We have two girls and because of a rare blood disorder, this will be our last baby. We do really want a boy but are ok with a girl (because a lot of times these babies come early and we all know girls do better as preemies than boys). I have two thoughts here. 1. If you find out early, you have time to deal with the GD and may be ready to roll by the time she gets here if it's a girl, OR 2. If you wait to find out the gender in the delivery room, it's a fun surprise, and once you have a baby in your arms, it's hard to be disappointed. We will have lots and lots of ultrasounds so we are thinking about waiting towards the end to find out, then don't tell anyone so it's a surprise to everyone else. What do you think??

Hopeful, personally I would want to know the gender for all reasons. Time to sort through feelings. But I think it's a personal feeling as well. So I would really discuss with the hubs! Also I need to know things...I hate surpises..I cant fake it! LOL.

TTC...what a roller coaster we have been on with you all these months. I am really pulling for you that this baby sticks. remmber HCG numbers come in such a wide range. DONT GOOGLE either it will just freak you out when you need to be healthy and calm.

Jen!!! OMG you are soo cute! Your belly is glowing! I can NOT WAIT TO SEE THIS BABY!!!!

Well I am 19 weeks, baby measures 20 weeks and 4 days so I am basically saying I am 5 months now. It feels better! LOL. I am getting HUGE!!!!!!! OMG! at night i am so big and sore...My doctor said I am right on track with weight and I look the perfect size. SO i guess my hugeness if the right kind of hugeness.

What do you think??Well I'm gonna tell you off of you nub shots anyway so I wouldn't worry about it:rofl: No but seriously, this last one is the only time I will be going into delivery feeling like I know who's in there, usually we wait, that way if I have had the GD descend I can look at a little face and say 'You know what, you may be the opposite of what I was looking for but your coming home with me and me and you are gonna get along just fine:HH:' So it is kind of instant. But this time feeling like I know who it is has made this alot calmer pregnancy which has bettered the household, but is that because I have my DG?? Would I have been ad this whole time if I thought otherwise?? See what your nub says and go from there I say:)

Thanks for the opinions on the gender thing. We did come up with our baby's name - how exciting is that?! Weston __? for a boy, and Leah Claire if it's a girl. DH would never even talk about it until crunch time with our girls. I am feeling pretty good, other than 2 days of being sick, then just feeling yucky (which is almost exactly like my girls) so I think it's probably a girl. We'll see how I feel in another few days when 8 weeks pops its ugly face (when I usually get to feeling really yucky). I finally get to go to the initial OB interview appointment in a week from Monday! I can't wait to get that over so I can schedule an appt with my OB to hear the heartbeat!

Hope everyone is doing good today. Jen, I was always miserable about 37 weeks. I hope you're ready for your little man, it won't be long now!! Tink, you're totally not HUGE! =)

hopeful: You are way ahead of me, I can barely get DH to even think about names. And since he doesn't know the gender....it will take forever to think of a girl name. I would go ahead and find out gender, especially if you have a risk of preemie, I think it will bring you closer to the baby.

Jen: I alwasy love your belly pics. My belly has a few stretch marks around my navel and it looks like the sun, so I just couldn't do it. Jan 25 is Wednesday....how exciting. Either way you don't have long now!!!

Tink: Glad to hear you are measuring well, just wait until they baby really starts growing....then you will feel huge.

B: I am with Jen, I just can not wait until birth, especially once I am 30+ weeks. I am feel differently if I had difficult newborns, though. With all my winter babies I had to get DH to tie my shoes....no fun. I like being independent. Plus, my laundry room was not built for front loaders, in a couple weeks, I won't be able to fit in there with the doors open....uuuhhh. I have to watch and guide the children from the doorway.

ELP: Your getting closer, too. Once you hit 30 wks the time just flies.

Well, we finally had our calf born yesterday (for those of you that remember from the TTC boy thread). She is a first time mom and did great....she had a girl, which is what DH wanted and the whole house is over the moon. It has been hard to keep the kids away from the windows . It is so amazing seeing a new little one that wasn't there the day before.....it just makes me look forward to this baby even more.

Hey girls! Not much time as I've got to run get the girls at school but popped in to check on my TTC5, FX FX!

Hopeful: Lovely names :) I think it depends on your own personal GD issues as to whether it's better to wait or not; for me, I've always wanted boys. So whether I knew during pg or waited to hold the babe, I'd still be disappointed. It's just going to be part of my life now. So for me, I'm glad I knew in advance b/c I am looking forward to meeting this baby with no hope of it being a boy, which might sound sad, but really, I'm glad I know what's coming to me. I'm with Tink: no surprises!

Tink I bet you're not huge LOL! I just took a belly pic and will post later!

Jen: what a precious dream :) Oh I hope it comes true and you get a chubby one! My pics of DD2 (the fattest) on the scale at the hospital are fab ... her chunky thighs are just to die for. She never fit a newborn diaper or outfit  FX you get a big, healthy glowing boy!

WP: LOL about the laundry room! And your bit about the calf was lovely; it really is a special thing, these new lives. Thanks for a sweet reminder of that :HH:

I put together DD3's nursery this am; I have to say I'm really happy I got all new things because it was lots of fun to put it all together and have it be different. It's bright yellow and gray and white, more modern than sweet, which suits me well. DD1/DD2 had green ... for all these girls I've yet to stomach pink or purple or frills in general, LOL! Now I have to find a name ...

hope.ful, I hope the spotting is nothing for concern xx

I just had a really small amount of spotting, if you would call it that. Not at all blood, more like CM mixed with really old blood as it was like a really light tan colour. I know I got this with the others but ugh it makes you panic. Hopefully is "implantation residue". Only an hr till my beta results come in hopefully. On a good note, my boobs are soooo sore!!!! I only got this with my second pregnancy (a twin pregnancy).

hope.ful - All 4 of my pregnancies have been different, don't assume gender based on things going to same as before.
I've never been miserable in pregnancy, I've always been pretty ok till about 38-39 weeks and then just feel done. That said I thing it's because of the big baby and extra big belly combo.
FX it's nothing and your little bean is holding strong.

Elp - 8lbs 13oz! you're a jerk lol

Tink, Elp, B - post some belly shots dammit!

B - omg I would love a chunker baby! 2 out of 3 of mine came home in preemie clothes, the 3rd didn't only because she was 21 inches long so it was all too short.
I love the idea of a modern more neutral nursery but I always caved and went girly.

I am having more EWCM like discharge with light brown through it. I think it is left overs from implantation making it's way out my cervix?
I have THE sorest boobs and they are already LEAKING!!!?????? Never had sore/leaky boobs with the last two or my first (only with my twin pregnancy).

TTC5: I HATE having my blood drawn. Especially if they send someone who is still practicing to "practice" on me.

Hobber: I need tickers, it is only way I can keep up with everyone. When Jen was waiting for her gender scan, she had a ticker for that and I loved it....so much easier to obsess.

Jen: I hear you on the stretch marks, although I think more for me would almost be impossible unless I had twins, but DS#1 did me in, he was so active that I had several strech marks bleed. The midwife thought for sure he would be a whopper and he was only 7lb 11oz. Nothing help lotion, etc. At least the other children have been nicer to me, I haven't had a new one in a while.

I tried everything to stop stretch marks with my first pregnancy so just focused on keeping the itch down for the rest. This is my first new mark since dd2. For me 7lbs 11oz is a whopper, my biggest was 7lbs 4oz.

Ok so help me here ladies these are my numbers etc.
17th Jan BFP & Beta of 3. (going by scan today this put me at only 2w 5d)
19th Jan beta was 26. (going by scan 3w)
23rd Jan beta 195 (going by scan 3w 4 d)

Had another beta today will update this afternoon. Scan today put me at 4w 1d.

Then I had another u/s at 6wks5 days, I think, and we could see the blob (baby) and a heartbeat. It is hard to get an accurate measurement when everything is still not visable or so small. Your numbers looked great and that really is the only thing to go on right now.

TTC5: What a roller coaster?!?! I am so glad your ride has gotten smoother. It feels like you have been pregnant longer because you have been through so much. I wouldn't worry about the heat stroke, babies make it through much worse than that.

Shaven: Congrats!!! I am so glad to hear some more successful sways.

Jen: I always say you get more sleep with a newborn than when you are 40 wks pregnant. It just is impossible to get comfortable doing anything, eat and sleep especially. I can't wait to see some pics of baby Charlie.

Begonia and ELP: You ladies are right behind her!!!

My 20 wk u/s is on Friday!!! Seems like these 4 wks have crawled by. I can't wait to see the baby again and not be scared to buy a couple outfits or dream about a baby boy.

WP - I couldn't agree more, I've given up on being comfortable or getting a good nights sleep till after the birth. So far I've had great sleepers with the exception of dd3 but she had sever GERD. My others were sleeping though the night by a few weeks or would wake up just once, I've been really lucky.

Yay for your 20 wk u/s, I can't wait to hear what's cookin'!

I have lost a kilo already since falling pregnant. I am not a skinny person (size 14) so I guess I can afford to lose a little weight? Is it "safe" to lose kilos whilst pregnant? I am not trying to lose any although am walking daily for around 40 minutes to keep myself healthy during the pregnancy. I seem to have lost my appetite since falling pregnant, think my whole metabolism has just come to a halt?! My bowel movements are not that often like they used to be and my appetite is minimal. Maybe it is a BIG surge in progesterone as my boobs are SO sore, have gone up 2 sizes already and I am already leaking milk!!!!

Okay I need some input and since we do not share our names until birth I can not ask family.......

We would like to use my father's name for the baby's middle name, Raymond is his first name and Mark his middle.

so........

Gideon Raymond

Gideon Ray

Gideon Mark

And my husband's family is from the Ukraine, so we sound forgein..lol. My FIL's name is Mishie (MEE-ShEE), so that is out. But we did want to use something from a family member's name just like the rest of the children.

We still are not set on Gideon, but I think it may be the winner. We also like Gabriel. Uhhhh, I just am going to need the whole 20wks I have left to decide. We normally take 2-3 names to the hospital and pick one, which we may still do. But since hubby doesn't know we also ahve to keep looking at girl names.

Hey ladies,

I had my scan and all is good. The ultrasound tech wasn't so great. She was fast plus she doesn't know anything about the nub theory. I got DVD and some pics, I don't think there are any gender clues in the pics, but maybe a 'little' in the video, Really not sure. I might just post the pics for skull guessing. I don't know what to think a boy or girl ..but I'm leaning more toward a girl AND already very disappointed.

I'm measuring 13w6d one day ahead my ovulation day. Yeah that's good to know.

DH said my boobs are bigger already and I actually leaked 2 nights ago. Either I have some really strong hormones in my body right now or I don't know lol!!!!!

Oh and I poopied again YAYYYY I am actually thinking this issue was actually pregnancy related after all ;)

I got the hot flashes with my last 2 girls to the point where I would pass out, turns out I'm hypoglycemic.

Whats hypoglycemic mean?

The inverse of diabetes, my body produces too much insulin so I have to off set it with protein (and lots of sugar). During my pregnancy with my last daughter my blood sugar level would drop so severely, I would pass out before I could do anything.

3lbs ELP?! You lucky gal. I ALWAYS gain 35-40. But in truth it mostly all comes straight off (I tend to retain 5-7lbs while I breastfeed) and I usually wear pre-pg clothes within 3-4 weeks. FX that happens this time too.

MFC glad the scan went well in terms of health but sorry you felt like it could be a girl! Looked at your pics and I can't tell a bit. FX for blue!

Jen: Wow, you could be getting all stretched and in labor right now!!!

B: As far as the cervix stretching, sweeping, stirring, stripping (all the same thing) the doc or midwife sticks their finger tip into your cervix and makes their finger like a hook and just goes around and around to agitate things and if your body is ,ready you could go into labor. I have had mine done with all the children and only 1 time did I go into labor close to that day. 4 of the 6 children I was induced with 1.5-2+ wks over due and the other 2 I was not induced and had on or the day before my due date. Edited to say: Yes it is very uncomfortable, but so is being huge preggo. And normally there is some spotting.

MFC: I still say beautiful boy.

ELP: That age of say whatever and not worry what people think is always soooo cute.

HEY LADIES~ I keep meaning to post more in here. I still don't really feel pregnant aside from having to pee a bunch and being a little more tired than usual. And my lower back is killing me. Not like going into labor, just like strained muscles. I read that pregnancy loosens up your back muscles or something? Not sure, but it is sore.

ELP, do your kids really not know there is a baby coming yet?? He's almost here!

3P1B, I have had my membranes stripped with 2 of my babies and didn't even know it! I asked my Dr. to do it during an exam, and he said, "I already did it." So it wasn't painful to me. But I have heard others say it was really uncomfortable.

Princess of Pink, I hope your DH agrees to an attempt this month! Good luck!

Flava - thanks! ELP isn't as much guessing as tormenting me lol DD1 7lbs 4oz 19inches, DD2 6lbs 15oz 20inches, DD3 7lbs 3oz 21inches.

MFC - 16wks is perfect for gender scan!

Midwife appt went well, I'm 1.5 cm and 70% effaced. She did stir and came back with some blood, she says thats a good sign. I am favorable for induction so that's good, but we are planning to wait it out for a while.

ELP, Thanks for looking :) I really thought I saw the girl nub right at the beginning of the video, that's why I have been so confused. After watching the video many times I think the beginning of the video shows the back of baby, but I wasn't sure.

I think I am going for a Ultrasound at 16 weeks is that too early?

Yep baby was turned away!

Jen: Glad your appt went well. I hope things start moving in the right direction. It is so hard to wait at the end, but he will be here before you know it. How exciting, now I will have to make sure and check in everyday. I am going to guess about 8lbs even, I just think he is going to be a bit bigger than the others. I am so hoping I go down instead of up this time, my last baby weighed 8lbs 4oz and my last boy weighed 8lbs 7oz......uhhh. I just love them to stay in newborn size for a little while.

Yes, I do help clean out the chicken coops even when preggo. The kids do most of the bending and reaching and I do all the bucket dumping. It really isn't too bad, everything is pretty clean. We put a ton of pine shavings down, so that is mostly what it is. AND we all wear think leather gloves :)

Wow, Jen anytime now!!! I was picturing you in labor while doing your belly cast :)

Thanks for all the congrats on the healthy baby boy. My doc office got a new u/s machine, so it ended up being an hour long ultrasound, because the tech had to figure out all the buttons. I got to see the baby doing just about everything....waving, sucking his thumb, thumbs up, standing on his head.....just soooo cute. I was a little crampy that day though from all the pushing on my belly. I still have moments everyday where I do a little happy dance.

3p1b: Any conx or even bh? Maybe you should plan something big this weekend, like shopping at the mall (you could get one of those electric wheel chairs) or something fun, that will make the baby come before then. I planned a huge b-day party for 3 of the children 1 wk after my due date, because I always went 2 wks over due....she came on her due date.

WP- lots of bh just nothing regular yet. I'll be getting another sweep on Thursday and talking to them about inducing. I'm hoping it'll only take pitocin instead of the whole shebang.

Tink- was your placenta on the right? Mine was on the left.
