Thanks girls - will give it a shot tonight then! Just so afraid of DH not having enough built back up, but hopefully we can get it done!
Congrats boyboygirl! Can't wait to follow along with what happens!
Sorry you're unable to do anything, True. It seems like such a long time to miss a cycle. [emoji17]

Grrr. Still no + OPK... not even remotely close. With my history of surging for days before I O I am looking to O around early end of the same time frame I usually O, even w/o clomid (CD 20+). If O'ing earlier was the sole reason for me taking it it's looking like it'd be a waste. Fortunately, I am also taking it to improve egg quality and of course the side benefit of swaying so at least there is that. I guess I know the answer as to whether I'll be BD'ing morning or evening. Next to no chance of O'ing tomorrow so it'll be evening. 259992600026001

I saw someone mention cd21 blood work.
Is this something I can ask my RE to do? Does it give any valuable info?
If it tells me anything about whether I ovulated or not that would be great.
He's only ordered cd3 blood work for me. I took 5mg femara and tigger shot and did timed intercourse. He only ordered a pregnancy blood test 2 weeks from my trigger shot.

hi tsarvi I have had the cd21 blood test done and it was just so I knew I was ovulating. I don't know if its for anymore info than that?
Twointow fx you get your pos opk. I don't know whats worse - waiting to ovulate or waiting to test for bfp/bfn

Two: ugh, I hate the waiting to O. The 2WW is easier for me than waiting to O. I really hope you get your surge and it happens fast!
Tsarvi: yep, cd21 will tell you if you O'd or not and whether or not you have low progesterone. I'm sue you could call your RE and request it!
Good luck, Magical! I am hoping this is my day too!
I feel like though I have a uti coming on though, ugh. Anyone had experience with antibiotics in 2WW? I don't know if it's that or just the fact that there's so much going on down there right now it's uncomfortable?

Sounds like a handful of us due to O today. I still haven't - temps are still not shifting and I still have O pains. My attempt will now be 0-2 if I o today, and o-3 if I o overnight.
I agree that waiting to o is so much worse than the TWW.
Today is cd 21 for me.
Once TWW comes I'll be all internally worried about my luteal phase and if I have another month of short Lp im going to have to get in to my doc. Clomid should help extend it.... Not sure what else there is?

So I was hoping for a clear BFP this morning on my First response... Used FMU and still only a hint of a line! :(. At first hubby said there wasn't a line but when I told him to look closer he agreed there was something there. Honestly if I took a photo I doubt itd show up. This whole ttc business is the worst! Haha from ovulation, to the 2 ww, to uncertain BFP and then the long wait to first Dr appt.
my cycle and ovulation could be off by a day so maybe that could make a difference? You can be sure I'll be testing again tomorrow. I guess all I can do is wait and see what happens. Sigh
Best of luck to all those expecting Ovulation!

July 5th, 2015, 10:25 AM
Tsarvi, cd21 blood work is used to confirm ovulation. The trigger shot is supposed to force your body to ovulate, so he might feel like cd21 blood work is overkill. You can still ask though.
Yay, magical!!!!! :) Good luck!
Taytum, I've been feeling the same way! I am trying to decide if I should go in for a check just to see what's going on but in the back of my mind, I feel like it's just all of this ttc business making me more aware of everything. I haven't been on antibiotics in the 2ww, so I'm not sure what to expect either.
Hitme, I'm so sorry you're dealing with a late O and short lp. :hugs: I'm not sure what else there is either. Hopefully maiden will chime in with some good info. :)
Boyboygirl, I'm sorry you didn't get a clear bfp!!! I always have a hard time with hpt. Can you call your doctor and see if they'll do a blood test? That might help solve this. Just explain what's going on and hopefully they'll be understanding.
Afm, my temp went up higher today. I'm up more than a whole degree from cd14 (just before I o'd). I'm cd19/3dpo today. This temping business adds a whole new dimension to ttc, lol!!

So sorry, tfahn! :bighug:
For other clomid users, did you notice continued ovary twinges for several days after O? I have been having these little twinges that almost feel like someone is flicking me in the ovaries since I O'd 3 days ago. It seems to mostly be my left ovary but yesterday it was my right ovary. I am pretty confident that I O'd from my right ovary this month as that is where the O pain was most severe. I'm just curious if it is just me/I'm reading too much into it, or if others have experienced the same?
TaytumJ
July 5th, 2015, 01:37 PM
Boyboygirl: I'm sorry for the lack of blaring BFP. I agree - can you make an apt for hcg blood draw there? I'm still holding out for you!
Tfahn: sorry for bfn. Hoping something good happens to you in the coming days; it's still early!
Momamia: not sure about the flicking, but the month I got a BFP I had like a tugging sensation from ovary down to vagina. It was so weird so I hope yours are good! I'm not sure about the Clomid though; tat seems to mess us all up!
Now I'm not sure on uti or just effects of a lot of sex recently haha. My +OPK was blaring positive today; more than yesterday! And a super low temp today. Hoping for a high one tomorrow!

tsarvi I really don't know much about it other than I had it done to confirm ovulation. Are you approaching cd21? Maybe ring your doc and see if he/she will order the test done. I'm sure if you explain that your anxious about it and just want confirmation for peace of mind that the trigger shot worked they may be willing to do it :)

He just called me and said I can do it.
Yes cycle day 21 is in a couple of days.
Is blood work on cd 10 something that is routinely done after taking either femara or clomid?

Thanks Taytum and Momamia! I'm going to see what happens in the next couple days - hopefully I'll get that clear BFP or AF either way I just want to know - being in limbo is the worst!! My back has been hurting quite a bit on and off today with weird sort of cramping and bloating. My temp hasn't been a good indicator of anything either as it hasn't jumped up or down in the last couple days lol.
If I'm still not sure what's up by Wed I'll give my Dr a ring. I'm hoping by then I'll have already made a real maternity appt though :).
Tfaun - fingers are crossed for you! I wish I had just waited til 13 dpo (which is tomorrow for me) bc that's when I got my BFP with my first two kids. But it's crazy making either way isn't it!

Agh we were forced into attempting on a cycle where DH is on meds that are not ideal for swaying blue - we had a condom split last night while sticking to our EOD pattern!! So had to add in another attempt today and will add another tonight just in case. CD13 here, tons of EWCM and a little O type cramping but nothing major.

So the holiday weekend comes to a close and time to get caught up....
Pbn3- I don't know which is worse either.
Magical- YAY for O! :fx:
Taytum- Not that I can recall (antibiotics), hopefully it's nothing. If you can stand the taste of it you could try cranberry juice! And it is very possible it is due to lots of BD'ing ;) Yay for a + OPK! :fingers: Tylenol is 100% safe. It won't hurt your O or a baby on board (for future reference) if fact it is the only OTC pain killer recommended during pregnancy!
Hitme- You aren't waiting alone :/ :fx: for a nice long LP!
boyboygirl- I'd suggest a blood test also. :fingers for you:
momamia- Yes charting does add a whole new dimension to TTC :D Can't help you with the twinge thing, last time was way too long ago for me to remember!
tfahn- (((HUGS))) Sorry, but don't give up yet. It's not over till it's over.
Trueblue- well, :fx: you get your BFP with a blue bean!! Or a later O if you prefer to avoid this month all together given the circumstances. Either way you can have my blue dust too!! http://i75.photobucket.com/albums/i300/poetry_princess1983/Blinkies%20made%20by%20me/Vibes%20and%20Dust/dirtblue.gif
AFM- STILL no +OPK. Lots of cramping on my left side today and one pain dead center of my lower abdomen that only lasted a split second but it momentarily took my breath away it was so intense. Yesterday I was outside for a 4th cookout and today I was outside doing yard work all day and I am SOOO burnt. Hubby and I are rednecks in the truest sense of the word lol. Our yard had a super crappy fence that was there when we moved in. The idiots that put it in put a solid, 3-foot deep slab of concrete that runs the entire width of the fence (50+ feet) to hold the poles:hair:. We are trying to remove it so we can put up a better fence and it's a nightmare. We decided we are done until we can get a jack hammer to break up the slab because it took us dang near all day to get ONE pole out today. Hoping all the work I did today didn't/doesn't scare O away. We worked pretty hard so it's possible but hubby did a lot of the hardest part himself (poor guy's hands are covered in blisters) so maybe O will still come out to play!? :nails: Oh and my BBT therm has been acting up on me so I got new batteries.. wasn't the batteries, it was the therm. So I am having to use a regular therm starting in the AM until I get the gumption to go to the store and get another one. Shouldn't be a huge problem, at least I hope not. It just won't give me the # in the 100ths place (i.e. If my temp is 97.34 I'll only get to see 97.3 on the therm)

Well the other therm didn't want to read at all, was stuck on "lo" so I had ro bust out the BBT and just fight with it to get my temp for today. I'll have to get another therm today. Really low so I don't know if it's a drop before the rise situation or a bad temp from a messed up therm. Super crampy this morning though so I guess time will tell.

Two: I hope O makes her way ASAP! And that your low temp is leading right up to O. It's so hard waiting to O; ugh. Also, where do you get therm at? I ordered mine off amazon but if I needed one ASAP it would be good to know where to find them!
Temp rise today. [emoji15] Going to get one more attempt in this afternoon and cross everything we have! I'm suppose to make a cd21 appt to check levels but with a late O should I go with cd24 so it's really 7dpo? Cd21 will only be 3dpo, if this was O.

Walmart carries them and I think most big name pharmacies (CVS,Walgreens, etc.) carry them as well. As far as the BW, I'd call and explain to your docs office and let them decide what to do.
I am thinking about just buying a cheap one and seeing how that works out for me. I haven't been having a lot of luck with BBT therms lately and $9 isn't a lot but when you have to replace them every month or two it gets old spending that much on something you can't rely on. If a $3 one works then that's even better lol. I've been charting for 8.5 years and never used a reg therm so if nothing else it'd be interesting to see how big of a difference it makes on my charts, esp considering the 100ths don't make a big difference when it comes to pinpointing O and that is kinda the whole point in charting, so it could work. I just don't know how I feel about switching mid-cycle. I just wish I could figure out WTH happened to this one. It has happened to the last few I've bought. When it is put together like it is supposed to be it looks like this:26007
but if I take the cap of and pull it out just enough, but not so much I can't see the screen it looks like this:26008

Thanks for the info! I'll have to take a peak at your chart :) If it hadn't happened to us a couple times then I would probably feel the same. For us they broke because we forgot to make sure to not let air get trapped in the reservoir, at least the is my guess because anytime we have taken the time to make sure it doesn't it have trapped air it has never broke on us. Not that we use them very often as 99% of the time our BC is NFP/FAM (natural family planning/fertility awareness method... basically they are both being aware of when you are fertile via charting but one is abstaining during fertile period and the other is using protection during fertile period) and withdraw but early on we used them a lot and after each pregnancy (live birth ones anyway and the last one too because of the D&C) we used them to prevent since you are supposedly extremely fertile right after having a baby and we didn't want "Irish twins"(2 children born to the same mom within 12 months of each other), lol.

Yeah on my Kindara app I only keep it to .0 and not .00 like I do on FF. It's interesting to see a difference!

Darn it! I was hoping you'd say later, lol. I almost got a little excited for you, hehe. It must have been a SE of the C :/ I was hoping it might have been implantation cramps but the embryo can't implant until it hatches (sounds weird I know but human eggs hatch too, just super early on) and it doesn't hatch until at least 5 dpo so the earliest you can implant is about 6 dpo :( :SS: Darn it! UTI confirmed at doctor's. [emoji17] I don't know whether to just weather the storm for a few days with Tylenol and cranberry juice/water or start an antibiotic. I haven't gotten the meds yet, but I did tell them TTC so I am hoping when nurse calls I can make sure it's pregnancy approved. Taytum- it is very normal to have two days of positive opks. It doesn't indicate when O will happen, just that you had a nice, strong surge. You will most likely O 12-48 hours AFTER your first positive opk, which was yesterday. I love the Kindara app too BTW! Much more aesthetically pleasing to me. I would take the antibiotics. If you do get a BFP, the blastocyst will not be affected by the antibiotics because implantation happens about 7-9 days after O. Take the antibiotics now, so they can be out of your system by then. Hopefully they put you on a 7-10 day course, and in that case you will be fine if this is your BFP cycle (I was a pharmacy tech for years and did toxicology research as a scientist at a pharmacy company for years [emoji4])!
I'm rooting for all of you ladies to get your much awaited BFPs. Baby dust to all [emoji8]!

It is a software I bought years ago. I bought it because I was being cheap lol... $30 for software I can use for the rest of my reproductive life with no further cost vs continuously paying for FF's VIP stuff which isn't all that great TBH (I have VIP now but that is just because I got an awesome deal). I ended up liking it more than FF. I think it was you that said you have the taking charge of your fertility book? Well it is the companion software (you probably got a disk when you bought the book? That is the trial software) and it was worth every penny. I love all it's functions. I has delivery planning, cycle forecasting (my favorite function), and a bunch of other stuff. Completely customizable. The temps look better, and my fav part is the CP stuff because unlike FF where you have to look at each day to figure out how your CP is trending you just have to glance at the SW, as you can see in the screen shot. I may be a dork for saying so but it's so cool to watch it transform from infertile and watch it climb and open up right on your chart, lol. My only complaint about the whole thing is that now it's not as easy to share. Anyway, so yeah... it is the TCOYF software :)
Message atomic, she can tell you for sure. I don't honestly know which would be better. I'd think the antibiotics would be fine, though.

Wow this is a busy thread! Just thought I'd say my farewell on this thread as AF showed this morning with super bad cramps and backache. I guess the implantation didn't stick. I'm thankful though, that if it wasn't going to workout that it just happen right away so I don't have to wonder what's going on!
Best wishes to everyone and I've got high hopes for this cycle :)

Well, I was fully expecting to O on CD 18 or 19 like I have the last few months but here I am at day 19 and my opks are still as negative as can be :( So frustrating. I've had a virus the last few days, fever and a bad cold, does anyone know if illness can cause ovulation to be delayed? We BD'd Saturday and our plan is every 4 days so the next attempt is Wednesday. Really hoping to O soon - I agree with some of the previous posters saying waiting to O is worse than the TWW!! I have had lots of EWCM starting yesterday so I'm thinking it should be any day now.

The doctor ordered progesterone and hcg.
What is the Progesterone level I'm looking for?
Also the day I do my cycle day 21 it will be 7 days since my trigger. Wouldn't I get a positive from my trigger? Can I rely on the hcg finding?

It won't affect things at all! Macrobid's half life is 15min to 1 hour, which means 12 hours after you last dose it will be completely out of you system. Most likely earlier than that since your kidney function is normal.
Remember though to take it exactly the same time everyday. Don't take it any earlier or later because of its short half life it needs to be at the therapeutic level to get rid of your infection. That is why so many women end up needing another antibiotic to get rid of their UTI. It's not that they had a bad infection, it's just they were not properly educated on how important it is to take it exactly the same time everyday.
TAKE IT AT THE SAME TIME EVERYDAY [emoji4]!

Daisy & fox- it's still early! :fx: for you both!
tahfn- (((HUGS)))
True- So far, based on those two temps I tend to agree. Try not to stress over just 2 attempts. With my two boys that I was charting when I conceived (my first loss and my youngest) I didn't have a ton of attempts. With one I had two attempts O-3 and O day, with the other I had 2 attempts on the same day on O-1 and 1 attempt on O-3. Oddly enough, with my instinct to "drown the egg", it was the cycles where we were either on a TTC break or too busy to "drown the egg" that we actually conceived. 2 attempts still sway blue :)
AFM- My temp jumped this morning, but I don't know whether I believe I might have O'd or not. My usual CL is 97.6 (at this point in this cycle it'd be 97.6 as usual) and my temp this morning was 97.7 with the new therm (decided to try out a .0 therm instead of getting another .00 therm). I didn't know if I trusted it or not so I got out both therms and tested with both at the same time (long after wake up) and the old, messed up one read 98.28 and the new one read 98.3 so it rounded up but basically is the same reading. I still don't know that I trust it though... No surge, not a very high shift and no shift to infertile with my CP/CM. I am just hesitant to trust this. I guess tomorrow's temp might make things clearer.

Yes, True, try not to stress too much about number of attempts - if you did ovulate on cd13 then you have an o-3 attempt too, which will count! Also, looking back at my ff chart with DD1 we DTD 5 times in the 'extreme' fertile period and still had a girl!! So I think other factors are more important

It looks like the O-3 attempt was protected BD. But definitely don't worry True! When I conceived my DS, we had O-1 and O-3 attempts (also BD'd at night on the day of but I think I O'd in the morning).

Almost +opk yesterday evening. So tonight's will most likely be positive and tomorrow will most likely be O day. We are doing every 4 days and BD'd Saturday night so next attempt is tomorrow night. Hopefully I O later in the day so tomorrow's attempt still counts. I'm a little nervous because that technically gives us more than one attempt (O-4 and O) in the fertile window... Send pink dust!! XX - Thanks for telling me that!! No one said anything about that; just to take it twice a day with food. I will know now to take it every day at the same time! That's crazy that they didn't mention it...
True - Sorry, I meant the green boxes in the "stats" column. I didn't know if FF was just marking those as fertile or if you had marked something in them. I agree with others - don't stress about it! There are plenty of women who were even swaying pink with one attempt and still ended up blue.
Tfahn - So sorry AF showed up. :( Take care of yourself.

Yeah it'd be about right. Supposedly you are supposed to O 5-10 days after your last dose and yesterday was day 10... and there was the drop before the rise... I don't know though. I should be drying up and my CP should be dropping if I O'd but when I checked this morning I was creamy (and TMI but as my undies can attest there is some watery in there somewhere) and HSO. I'll probably check it again in a few. I could over look no LH surge... they have been acting retarded all cycle anyway, but no surge and everything downstairs staying fertile... it makes O a little unbelievable.
Anyway, until I know for sure I am trying to act like I O'd and being extra strict on the diet. I am cutting all grain based (breads, pastas, etc.) and sugar based carbs... doesn't really leave me much I can eat but that is really all I know to do to keep my sugar low... I certainly can't cut calories. If this is the real deal then I am praying for a BFP 'cuz I am seriously craving a big juicy burger with all the fixin's lol... oh and onion rings!! I miss onion rings (too much fat for the diet :( ) I never had them often but knowing I can't have them has intensified the craving lol. And even more than that I miss the BIG O! Sorry if TMI lol. This girl swaying stuff is... yeah, no word comes to mind lol, but whatever the word is that is what it is lmbo.
As far as your pains, I had that will all my pregnancies. My 3rd was the worst... by the time I hit the second tri I was convinced I was going to give birth to Freddy Kruger lol. It felt like he was in there trying to claw his way out lol. So, try not to worry :)

Fox and Daisy - you're not out yet, so many ladies don't get early BFPs! FX for you both.
twointow - what BD method are you doing? Every 4 days?
So I got a blaring positive on the opk today so I'm guessing I'll O tomorrow. We're BDing every 4 days and had an attempt Saturday night so that means tomorrow night is the next attempt. If only having one attempt sways girl, won't BDing every 4 days in this case give me TWO attempts? O-4 and O? I'm not sure if we should skip BD tomorrow to avoid 2 attempts but I'm sure our odds with just one O-4 attempt aren't that great. But still, I don't want to hurt my chances of pink... What do you all think? I've been sick and had a fever on Saturday when we BD (romantic, I know) and I've read that fever can kill off swimmers so there may not be any around from our O-4 attempt anyways. Ugh... Maybe I should have just stuck with trying for one attempt at the first positive opk.

Yes. E4D.
And O-4 has extremely slim odds of resulting in pregnancy which is why E4D is still considered one attempt. No matter how it falls you'll never have more than one day with good conception odds.

The first cycle i tried I thought the e4d plan was the way to go. Then I didn't like how slim my odds were on the day my attempt fell, but also didn't want to add an attempt. This cycle im happier with my attempt but I'm stil0-2 or even 3. (36 hrs from dtd time I *believe*.

I thought the same thing too until Atomic set me straight. O-4 will not yield conception. Most likely there will not be sperm alive when you O. Having attempts every four days IS having only one attempt in you fertile window. That is why it is recommended if having an attempt at positive opk doesn't work for people.
BDing every 3 days IS having two attempts in the fertile window.
FX for you! I would totally have your attempt scheduled and even have another one 4 days after tomorrow in case O is later than anticipated.

Thanks twointow, hitme, and XXforhubby! We'll go for another attempt today then. I'm sure my odds aren't that great for this attempt either then since we won't be able to BD until later tonight and O may have already happened (I had a temp dip this morning so I know it didn't happen yesterday but I've been super crampy this morning and CM is starting to dry up so my guess is it just happened within the past half hour or so). Also, I thought O-4 was supposed to still have ok odds?
Thanks momamia, this is our 3rd month TTC. If we get another BFN this month, we may switch to E3D for next month. I'm going to get tired of seeing BFNs :( I really wanted DS1 and baby #2 to be close to 2 years apart and we're moving farther away from that.
hitme - are you still doing E4D? I would prefer not to use this method but my O day seems to fluctuate and I've had a couple cycles where I O'd on the day of the first + so it's hard for me to plan my 1 attempt. It's a test where they inject saline in uterus to see if tubes are open and measure the size of fibroid, which is 5cm. I have 1 tube open unless fibroid is blocking the other one.

Hey girls! I saw many of you on the June TWW. My husband and I are one our second month Ttc, although last month was a VERY unexpected attempt. I ended up have a 27 day cycle compared to a 33-37 day cycle so needless to say, my sway was messed up and pretty sure I drowned all the babies with sylk and rephresh!oops
Onto July we go! A little background (sorry to all you that have read this elsewhere!lol) I am 27 and DH is 37. I am on a very low calorie diet. I have recently lost down to right below my wedding weight, I am doing 60 mins of cardio, taking calcium, folic, magnesium, and vitex. I dropped my aspirin suggested by atomic. I plan to rephresh 24-48 hours before attempt, taking Zyrtec two hours before, and only using sylk if I am too dry. Most importantly, one attempt at positive OPK instead of the multiple I had with my precious boys.
DH is a healthy eater and exceeded/cycles often so he isn't much help here!haha He is continuing wearing whitey tighties (I made him change to boxers with the boys) And he always takes a hot shower before attempt. We planned on DH abstaining for 7 days but due to his age I think this will have to change. He prefers that so he is REALLY ready, if you know what I mean! I know he can't do frequency like everyday or twice a day so what do you girls suggest? I thought ab just rolling with it naturally and just making sure we have that one attempt at positive OPK, but that may be stupid. Suggestions welcome. :)
Excited to see how many sweet babies we get this month! I know June was very successful with many BFP! ;)

I had an appt with my gyno today, and I feel SO much better about how long TTC has been taking. He said that the high dosage of cortisone that I had to take twice in April played a huge role on my cycles being so long and crazy and that he absolutely believes I will get pregnant soon. He said he thinks my body is just pretty sensitive to change and since I have had long cycles in the past that it is just taking a while for my body to get back to normal.
He took a look at my ovaries and we could see the ovarian follicles on each side which was pretty cool- he said everything looked great but that it did look like I would not be ovulating for about a week which would fit with a normal cycle for me. He said the fact that I am ovulating and having my period is a good sign and to just relax a bit. I'm really happy I had an appt with him! I don't want to go on medication unless absolutely necessary (we agreed to take another step if I haven't gotten pregnant by November) and hopefully I won't have to.
So Pbn maybe we'll be in the 2WW together!

Junie- Glad you are feeling better about things :)
Fefe- nice well timed implantation dip you have there! It is no guarantee of pregnancy but it is a good sign! E4D starts early after AF. If you O early it's prob best to start BDing right off, if not then you are probably ok to just pick a random day early on and go for it.
Yaybaby- It's not impossible to conceive from O-4 if all the things work out perfectly (perfect, very fertile CM allowing sperm to survive long term, etc.) but it is very unlikely. That is why FF only includes up to O-3 on its timing analysis (VIP function). Factor in a girl sway which is intentionally making things more hostile down there and there is next to no chance of preg from an O-4 BD. Does that make sense?
AFM- Temp back down today, as I suspected it would be. Decided I am going to talk to my docs office and ask some questions. What is the point of taking C to O earlier if I don't O earlier, ykwim? Besides that I am tired of the guessing game so maybe they can help me figure it all out :fingers: I'll let you all know what they say. I called and the nurse was on another line so they are going to have her call me back.

Ladies taking clomid- Did any of you have AF cramps before O?? I am cramping exactly like I do when AF is eminent, and cramping hard, but I haven't even O'd yet. For a second I thought maybe it might mean O is finally coming but it feels nothing like O pains and exactly like AF cramps and it going all the way through to my lower back just like with AF (kidney pain is a given just before AF). On top of that, my signs are now trending toward infertile with my CM being creamy (for now at least for some reason it has been creamy early on and EW later in the day lately) and my CP is medium height, medium firmness and only partially open. I'm only 7dpo today and since yesterday morning I'm having super painful AF like cramps.

Should I assume it's AF cramps? It just seems a bit early. I Usually get some AF cramping but don't remember it being this early.
Im currently waiting to do an HSG and Progesterone testing at cd21. Don't think I can rely on the HSG results since I took HSG trigger 8 days ago.

HealthyGirl, it could be implantation cramps :fx: or a side effect from your femara. Your doctor is probably doing the HCG testing to see if the trigger is out of your system yet. At least that's what I'd assume. What cd are you now?

Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Not necessarily. Hcg only shows up in your system after implantation which typically doesn't happen until 5-10dpo. If implantation hasn't happened yet, you wouldn't have hcg in your blood. That's what makes me think your doctor is maybe trying to establish a baseline for you because of the trigger.

Sounds very positive Junie hopefully you will have your BFP soon. Will you go back to your dr to go on anything and be monitored or will you just try by yourself for awhile?

I had such a hormonal day today! Nothing seemed to go my way (or even close to it) and I got so frustrated with everything!! I am so exhausted and just want to cry.... Is it tomorrow yet?!?! If this is side effects from the clomid, it sucks. I am so tired that I actually slept for 10 hours last night! Thank God I didn't have anything important to do today and that my kids are all old enough to feed themselves, lol! I just feel so worn out and my stupid boobs are so sore today. I really hope tomorrow is better! Sorry I've been so whiny lately. I'm not usually like this!

Magical: I know how you feel on he effortless pregnancy from others! I'm thinking next Wednesday at 10dpo if I have some good symptoms? Otherwise attempting to wait until after AF...you?
Two: my O pains were SO weird this cycle on Clomid. I feel like it came in waves, it wasn't like a strong cramp but it would come on and then leave then a few minutes later come back. All night long. Then it finally just stopped and I woke up normal the next day!
Momamia: I've been SO tired too, and lightheaded, with sore boobs as well. I'm assuming it's effects from Clomid and progesterone, but no fun. I'm starting a new job next month and I'm worried that if this is how I feel all the time they'll wonder why in the world they hired me.

Vent away, we all have days like this!! I've been a bit sensitive lately prob due to clomid and also just the thought of Ttc and it being another boy, how I'll cope with that etc. It kinda depresses me then I feel guilty for thinking like that!

Magical, I get the same thoughts. It makes me worry that all of this effort is going to be for nothing. Then I start to wonder how much I really want more kids. But then I visit my baby niece and she reminds me exactly what I'm working so hard for. Maybe I should go visit her again? That might help. :)

I had 2 good follies and 1 smaller (prob won't do anything follie) this cycle and I felt like I O in waves. I felt like i O on my left side first which is where my biggest follie was then my right the next day where my next biggest follie was then the following day back to my left. I'm not sure if I'm reading to much into that though. It would be so cool to see inside my body so I can see what's happening. I had the trigger shot, so maybe I was thinking about it to much.

Question for the clomid ladies again- can you guys be slightly more specific about what O felt like or maybe tell me if it felt like what I am feeling now? My left side is cramping pretty bad. It's like the AF cramps I was having earlier all squished over to my left side. Its a throbby-type pain and goes all the way through to my back (also left side only). Scale of 1-10 it's a solid 6... minimum. It's kinda like you described, Taytum, with the coming and going. It's like there is nothing, then I feel it building and then when it peaks it kinda feels like my ovary or something is going to pop like a balloon, then it declines back to nothing again... sometimes just for a few seconds before it starts building again, sometimes for several minutes. And it's been doing it for a good 30-40 minutes now. Could I be O'ing??

I wish it was that easy... :( I went HT, spent the money and got nothing.... I see ladies on here still jumping into HT and I want to tell them to be very careful, that just because you spend the money it doesn't guarantee that you will get the DG or stay pregnant if you do - but then, sometimes it works for people, so I just sit back and let them go without the 'warning'. So I think I am now officially in the TWW! Hoping time moves fast as I wait to test...
Thank you twointow! This does makes sense and is definitely helpful. I will say that I have had quite a bit of fertile CM this month, maybe because of this cold (sorry for the TMI). I read that the body can tend to make more mucus overall when you are sick. Hopefully that doesn't hurt my girl sway. Although atomic did mention that illness itself might sway girl. I really don't feel hopeful this month though with an O-4 attempt and end of the ovulation day attempt. Also, in regards to your question, I always get AF-like cramps around O time. I'm not on clomid but thought I would share anyways. Are you still getting EWCM? FX that you O'd and can move into the TWW so we can be testing buddies!
My temps are wacky because I was sick so I might end up discarding the 2 high temps from earlier this week...

My Ovulation Chart (http://www.fertilityfriend.com/home/401c2b)
Yes, I had an EW/creamy mix last night. I haven't checked yet because the only thing that wouldn't have been affected by this morning's BD is CP. My CM would be semen obscured (semen is a lot like EW). I'll probably check here in a bit though to see what my CP is and check this evening to see whats up with my CM. No temp shift this morning, but it could just be that there wasn't enough time between O and temping for my temp to shift. I am thinking it was O though. It hurt too much not to be... my left side STILL feels a little tender. So, I am just gonna call it O regardless of what happens with my chart... I haven't been able to trust anything this cycle so who knows if I can trust my temps  "calling" O for today (O pain was in the evening last night so better to call it for today than yesterday) would put me at CD 31 (July 20) for when AF is due. I am supposed to call my OB if I haven't O'd or got AF or BFP by CD 35, so CD 31 is 4 days before that, which means I'd only have to wait 4 more days if no AF or BFP. I am just tired of trying to guess if I am about to O. It's just easier if hubby and I keep BDing E4D while I assume I already O'd. Then if I find out otherwise I only have 4 days to stress about it from CD 31-CD 35, lol. I am REALLY hoping for a temp shift tomorrow to confirm it though because if not I will probably still be stressing about O even though I don't want to. Did I mention I hate TTC?

July 9th, 2015, 11:07 AM

Haha YES two!! I wish I would have known all those years that TTC isn't really that easy instead of stressing about avoiding it! They need warnings that say, "Women who get pregnant the first time are not normal." [emoji12] Hoping for a temp shift for you!
Welcome to the 2WW Yaybaby!

Ugh two, I agree with you on hating TTC! And it sounds like your body is not helping you figure anything out at this point, which definitely adds a whole load of extra stress. Sounds like you have a good plan in place though for the rest of the month. A lot of women don't get huge spikes after they O and get more of a gradual rise, so maybe that is the case for you too.
Thanks Taytum!
twointow83
July 9th, 2015, 12:02 PM
Momamia- Aww, poor guy. Our hubby's really have to deal with a lot sometimes with our hormonal non-sense, lol. When do you plan to test?
Taytum- I know! My last preg was a "one hit wonder" so I am hoping for the same this time because the idea of repeating all this over again kinda makes me want to scream. BUT I know from my own history that 1HW are the exception, not the rule. I WISH it was as easy to get pregnant as they make it sound when they are trying to get you to abstain (in schools and such)... Though if you weren't trying and accidentally ended up preg after months and months of unprotected BD w/ no idea of when your TRUE fertile period is I suppose it could seem pretty effortless end up accidentally preggo.
Yaybaby- No, it's not helping AT ALL and it DEFINITELY makes things more stressful. I am an "old pro" at this TTC thing. I have spent about as much time in the TTC game as in the TTA game during the course of our marriage and I have been charting for nearly 90% of our marriage. If my body was acting normally I wouldn't even be in the same continent of stress levels as I am now. It's unnerving to suddenly have NO idea what is up with my body after nearly 8 years of knowing EXACTLY what is going on... even if I wasn't happy with what was going on at least I knew. Now, I have literally no freaking clue :sigh: If I don't get a BFP this cycle I hope my OB will still want to do a follicle study... hopefully that will help me know WTH is happening (never had one so I am only guessing). I don't *normally* have slow rises. *Normally* my temp shoots up like a firecracker... but I guess this time anything is possible

I am going to try to hold out until 10dpo (I'm 7dpo today) but I'm going shopping today and might just stop and get some frers for tomorrow, lmao!!! I'm such a poas addict!!!
So, I have a temping question. Last night, I woke up at my usual temping time but I was freezing cold because DH took all the blankets so I was laying there uncovered. Because of this, my temp was lower than expected at 97.44. I decided to take my temp again (I usually temp when I randomly wake up in the middle of the night, which is oddly around the same time each night) after another 4 hours of sleep. This time, my temp was higher: 97.97. Do I use the temp from my normal temping time even though the circumstances were different than normal, or do I use the temp from 4 hours later? This is the first time that I've ever temped so I'm not sure what to do. TIA!

Two - I swear this swaying stuff messes with our cycles. My O day was consistently on CD 20 for the first 4 months that I had my period back after breastfeeding. But of course the last few months while we've been TTCing, O day has fallen on a different day. I would think stark white is a good sign, did you also check CP?
momamia - I would probably use the temp taken at your normal time and add a comment in the notes about the circumstances and include the other temp measurement there too. You can always check the discard box if it seems too out of place. I just try to be consistent about recording the temp at the same time everyday because otherwise it gets too stressful trying to figure out what temp to record.

Yeah, still HSO....
ETA for momamia- I agree with Yaybaby. However, if you temp orally and there was any chance your mouth was open I'd prob just discard it. Didn't you have a dip yesterday? Can we see your chart? Anyway, Vag temps are much less sensitive to outside things than oral temps. A cold room CAN affect your temp, even a vag one, but not nearly as much as an additional 4 hours of sleep would. So, to sum it up, if it were me. an oral temp I would mark as "discarded" assuming you use FF, I can't remember. That way it'll still be there if you find it fits a pattern and you can un-check the discard box. There is just too much chance that it was affected by the situation... but def make a note of both temps. If it's a vag temp, I would again make note of both temps but go with the first temp.

Congrats fox club!!! Hope all of us can join you!! I pray you get you mr baby boy!!
I need help... I have been planning one attempt at positive OPK. Now I'm getting in my head and wanting to do more. Yall are going to think I'm a nut... But my friends went to the dr and they have the only gender chart that was right for both my boys AND everyone I know. Well it says girl this month and boy next month!!!! I really want to get it this month but it's only my second month TTC And I'm already wanting to do multiple attempts!!!!ahhh On top of that, this same friend is starting this month and we really want to get preggo together since our boys were 3 weeks apart so that is added pressure if you know what I mean.
I know gender charts are silly but that really stressed me out when she told me this info. Haha!!
What are yall doing as far as number of attempts, abstaining, all that good stuff??

boysboys by gender chart are you talking about the chinese one? If so ds2 was supposed to be a dd lol. I do not believe it in any way determines gender. If you're wanting to add multiple attempts that's your call but please remember each attempt you add will reduce your odds of pink. And what if you fall this month but your friend doesn't? Have you been on le diet? I just worry you'll undo your hard work with multiple attempts. Completely understand the wanting to get pregnant sooner than later but of you've done all the groundwork I'd be trying one attempt at pos opk for at least 3 months :)

One attempt can get you preg! My last preg was a one hit wonder in every sense. AND it got me our first girl. Sadly she had a chromosomal abnormality (trisomy 22) so she didn't make it, but it made me a believer in one attempt!

Holy V pain batman! I have this pain... pulsing... like an electrical current shooting through my V (if you were ever among those who would line up, hold hands and touch an electrical fence you'll know what I mean. It feels just like that... just "down there"). As long as I am laying down it's not so bad, but when I stand or move around too much it gets worse... like maybe a 4 on a 1-10 scale?! Wonder if it means anything?
