Welcome to all the new swayers and sorry for all those joining from June. Here's hoping that July is a great month BFP wise and there is baby dust a plenty!
Month 3 for me and CD1. This wasn't exactly the plan! An April baby would be nice - I already have 1 in May and 2 in November :)

Thanks CIB For stating the thread. I'm CD 6 today, 2nd month TTC - on the diet since March 23. Idk if I'll count cardio; I kinda went couch between pre-O and AF this past month and then wanted to ease in but my ankle is being weird. I was loving my 9k jogs!

I'm so tempted to drop charting & opks.
Stick to diet, supps & exercise. I'm just weary of waiting for temp rises, analyzing charts & peeing on sticks :D

Hoping third month is the lucky month for me as well! Currently at CD5 and I'm also considering dropping temping and opks this month but not sure if my control-freak nature will allow it. We'll see as I get closer to O time. We're TTC pink and I've been on the LE diet for about 3 months. I'm dropping Zyrtec and RePhresh this month but we're still aiming for just one attempt.
FX that we get our BFPs ladies!

I'm not in the 2WW yet, but I see you all aren't either. This my first cycle trying this go-round. I am CD 3, took my first clomid dose today and ready for AF to get gone, lol. As far as my sway- LE with special circumstance twists, cardio 6x/week @ 60 mins/day & BD every 4 days (once AF gets lost). DH is taking OLE and I am taking clomid, zantac and baby asprin.

Hi Ladies! I'm cd6 today. I have 2 more doses of clomid to take (one tonight and the last tomorrow night). I guess technically this is our 4th month ttc, although it is supposed to be our first, lol! DH is a bit impatient. :holysheep: I've been doing the LE since the beginning of the year (ugh! I'm totally sick of it!!) and he's been doing OLE since then too. I'm also doing baby aspirin and my exercise seems to be good for like a month and then something happens and I take a month off. Lol! I am not fond of it, so it's definitely easier for me to not exercise. I am really hoping we get a bfp this month!! Atomic had me make some adjustments to our bd schedule because of my tubal reversal. I'm going to be doing every 3 days plus another attempt at +opk. It's still considerably less than when I got my boys!! She's thinking that the reversal will effect my ability to conceive so she's being proactive. I agree with her. Good luck everyone!! :D

Taytum- Is that your actual name? I ask because my niece's name is Tatum :D As far as symptoms, today is day 1 and nothing noticeable so far. Though, I do have a lot of other stuff going on that would make it easy to miss things. The biggest being that I had a D&C at the beginning of last cycle, ppl warned me this AF would be as awful as the one right after my D&C but a big part of me thought they were exaggerating. They weren't. So, I am living on pain killers at the moments and still in pain much of the time. That alone could easily mask any minor side effects. I know I've been ravenously hungry today (diet went kablooey today :( ) but that is not unheard of during AF for me. It happens every so often so I can't really say that it has anything to do with the clomid. Extra cranky today, but I am always extra cranky when I don't feel good so I think that had more to do with the pain than anything. So, yeah, I can't really think of anything that can't be explained by anything else. But, again, today was only day one AND I am typically u pretty late (insomnia) so I took it before I laid down this morning (can't remember what time but I know it was pretty late before I got to bed... well after midnight) and they say if you take it before bed that you might be able to sleep through the worst of the symptoms so that my play a role as well. I am wide awake again tonight, as usual so it'll prob be another late night for me again so I'll prob take it before I lie down again tonight if it is late enough, which it prob will be. If not I'll take it in the AM when I wake up. Either way I'll keep you posted, though, if anything changes :)

Momamia: I've gone back and forth on buying a CB monitor! I used to do their opks and loved the smilies, but with 80+ cycles it got expensive! And not getting a smiley sucked so now I use cheapies. They are easier to take a negative for some reason haha.
Two: it's actually my dog's name lol! My real name is Rachel. [emoji4]
Thanks for the symptom checklist! I'm going to start in the morning this round, and if I need to start them in PM next round. I'm wondering if nausea can be avoided when I eat them with breakfast? I hope so! Hoping for very few, if any, symptoms. I'm scared my ovaries will feel like they'll bust. Here we go!
Also, I'm taking it days 5-9, but I know some women are prescribed 3-7. Why is that? Dr. preference or...?

I haven't had any symptoms really. I take my last dose tonight. I did get my first "high" smiley this morning. So it looks like I will O earlier than usual. I typically get 5-6 days of highs before I get a peak (aka +opk). Which means that I should O about a week earlier than usual.
The first two nights I took the clomid, I had trouble sleeping. The 3rd day, I could feel my ovaries starting to do something but it wasn't super painful or anything. This morning I woke up soaking with sweat which is why I took an opk.
I have no idea why doctors prescribe it for different days. I used to think it was based on when you normally O. Since I normally O late, I figured that I'd be on cd5-9 but then he put me on 3-7. So, I think it's more of their personal preference.

Tatum- A lot of it is doctor preference but I've read that some docs give it 5-9 in women who don't tend to O on their own (I took it 5-9 before when I didn't O on my own)and 3-7 in women who do O on their own but are seeking earlier O or better odds (taking it 3-7 this time, I O on my own and I m trying for a sooner O and quick conception so what I read online make sense) because supposedly (I have no idea if it is true or not) 3-7 is supposed to mature more follicles or something.... from what I can tell (I am no expert, and I haven't studied it- just casual observation) there doesn't seem to be a diff in the twinning rate when taken 3-7 or 5-9 so I don't know if I buy into it producing more follicles *shrug*
Got my first symptom last night. There is a window AC in my room and it was on full blast so there is NO reason I should have been hot, but I was burning up. Lasted a good 15-20 mins and then I was fine again. I expected hot flashes as I had them the last time I took clomid so it's no big surprise to me. Just hoping a hot flash doesn't hit during my workout (the witch is on her way out, thank God, and I'm feeling loads better so I am getting back into my routine today)... I already sweat enough thanks ;) Lol.
I am also really... no REALLY tired and I can't figure out why. I slept the same as I always do last night... maybe even better *shrug* I can't explain it so I suppose it *could* be a side effect, not saying it is... just saying that I can't come up with another reason for it...

Yes, and no... (don't you just love how I keep saying that ;) ) I didn't get preg the cycle I took clomid. I had this weird double AF thing at the start of the next cycle, so doc told me to take the next cycle off, call if I needed to force AF (I didn't o on my own back then) or try again next cycle if AF came on it's own. Well, enough of the clomid was still in my system that I O'd that cycle and got preg. So, in a way I wouldn't have gotten preg if not for the clomid but I didn't take clomid the cycle I got preg... hope that makes sense.

Hi everyone I'm also on cycle 3 and cd 14 today. Don't usually o until cd 20 although had some ewcm today so hopefully o may come earlier. I'm using opks, bs every 4 days, LE diet (pcos style) which I've been on for 3ish months, and aspirin every 2-3 days during 2ww. I. I had crazy hot flashes last night and an almost migraine...in my case it's probably due to impending AF. I really hate hot flashes, they're brutal!
Personally and as a pharmacist I think CD3-7 is best for nearly everyone on Clomid/Femara. Occasionally earlier for women who O early on their own. But never later. I see too much late O from CD5-9.

Two- was this at night or in general? I've never had one so don't know what to expect! I was warm last night but it's always warm in our room so I don't think it was that. And I tossed and turned last night, but it also was storming so not sure what I can attribute to Clomid. Day 2 today!
Maiden: that was kind of the consensus I got from looking into 3-7 vs 5-9. Seems like a lot more success was had 3-7. I may see how this goes and discuss it with my OB. I did see several who were able to get pregnant on 5-9 so trying to stay positive!

I had a few hot flashes yesterday, but last night's was just the worst of the bunch. Up until last night my hot flashes had just felt sorta like a sudden all-over fever. Last night's felt like I had walked into a sauna with my head on fire. I was sweating profusely and even moving directly in front of the A/C (which was on full blast) didn't help much. Hoping I don't get too many of THAT kind of flashes. The others are uncomfortable but tolerable, THAT one was flat-out brutal.

It's possible I'm only 10DPO bc my 1DPO temp isn't totally reliable and I may have Oed a day later. Regardless I am aĺways happy to see double digit LPs! I could have a cyst...I am prone to them, and that could explain yesterday. But usually I only get hot flashes and migraines BEGORE O, it's linked to high estrogen. I definitely think I've had a lot of estrogen this LP considering all my big dips. Makes for such an ugly chart though! I should know by the weekend...if by some miracle AF stays away I will test Monday. My breasts/nips feel less sore today though so I'm not hopeful. Thanks for looking Junie & Moma :)

Maiden- Well then, everything crossed for you :)
maidentomother
June 24th, 2015, 12:41 PM
Somehow I missed your post right before mine. So about my LPs...yes, they have always been erratic. Prior to swaying my cycles were more regular (the super late Os are totally new, the latest I'd ever Oed was CD22 and that would only happen once every few years). Most of my cycles are 28 days or close, but my O and LPhave always been unpredictable. I've Oed as early as CD5 and had an LP as short as 4 days! It almost seems like, when I'm not swaying, my LP length depends on when I O and is shorter with late O, longer with earlier O. I'm not sure why my LPs are short and erratic, I think it's probably genetic, and the short part is probably linked to my naturally low BMI. I don't have any hormonal issues, and even in short LP months I've had great progesterone levels.
On Vitex my LP was lengthened up to 14 days. But off Vitex I've never had an LP longer than 11 days. So my FF charts don't really give an accurate overview of what's normal for me, relative to my previous 12+ years of charts. Plus I was VERY sick with strep throat + a virus back in Feb when I had a 5 day LP. I definitely think swaying makes my cycles more erratic, and Vitex delays O for me the first month starting it and the first month after I stop taking it, and I did two stints on Vitex. Then for some reason stopping swaying and taking healthy supps delayed O severely, this month and last...but I think it was due to super high dose fish oil supplements (I don't eat any seafood).
Lastly, I had a big, painful, problematic cyst after my 2012 loss, and since then I seem to be super prone to cysts. Not the PCOS kind, functional ones after O, and they do resolve on their own, but they may be causing temporary hormonal wackiness . I'm hoping by Dec things have settled down more or I have Clomid/Femara.
I WAS TTA this cycle and I thought I was safe bc I had Oed, and now I think I did, but released a second egg later...that's really common for me (I release 2 eggs every 3-4 cycles). But I will be happy if I'm pregnant. It just seems unlikely.

Junie sorry to hear about mc. I had two early ones before ds and it also took a while to get pregnant again. I think the stress and worry can really affect things but it did eventually happen and it will for you. Af time is hard as its so disappointing each month.
For me I've only been trying for what is my third month so I'm not changing anything drastically but next month I might go to bd every 3 days too. Question- I dtd yesterday so my next 4th day will be the 27th and due to ovulate on the 29th. So should I just dtd on 27th or should I dtd 28th to make it 1 day before o instead of 2? Are chances still good with only one bd 2 days before o?
It makes me nervous because we had loads of bd when we conceived ds and he took a while to get pregnant with!

Bobster- I'm sorry for your losses. I also wouldn't change anything right away! I did months and months of the diet quite strict and timing every 4 as I was on the diet for months leading up to my previous pregnancy as well. I think everyone knows what the point is for them where they have to make some changes. 2 days before O is actually statistically the best timing according to FF! So I wouldn't change your timing at all :)

Thanks Junie I hope so! Hope OH is up for dtd on Saturday too as he is non the wiser that we've been dtd every 4 days. I think the pressure would put him off. It's hard work dtd so frequently as I don't have a particularly high sex drive so we usually just bd around O time.
It sounds like you are at peace with your change in sway plans. I think the fact that you've been on the diet so long will really help your sway whatever bd pattern you do. If you look on the 'how we got girls' thread so many people on there bd'd frequently. I asked atomic about this and she said they probably had girl lifestyles. It sounds like you've adopted a girl lifestyle for a while now so this will set you in great stead.
Is anyone else drinking lots of aspartame? I'm wondering if I should stop this. This is cycle 3 for me and so far 3 days of ewcm which is good as didn't get any last 2 cycles. I hope an increase of ewcm doesn't make me more boy friendly though... Ever a predicament in swaying !

So sorry AF showed up Junie. I do agree though that if you are really just wanting #3 it might be worthwhile to change BD pattern. It will happen, hopefully soon!
Bobster- do you have boys? DH and I aren't rabbits either (9 years ago, yes lol), so this trying for a boy has been somewhat exhausting, especially for him haha. We're planning EOD and if I snag the surge on a OPK then extra attempts then hopefully. Good to know others got boys without dtd lots! [emoji4]
I got a hot flash last night day 3 of Clomid. Woke up extra sweaty and thirsty! Besides not being able to sleep well, I don't have other symptoms so I'll consider myself lucky!

Awww Junie, I was really hoping you'd see a BFP this month. AF arrived very early this am with mega cramps. That's really the only reason I hate CD1...the cramps. Otherwise I think I'd enjoy the the relief of knowing for sure after over a week of limbo.

So sorry Junie!!
Bobster, I am not drinking lots of aspartame. I never added it because it gives me headaches.

Junie- (((HUGS))) Sorry for your loss! Ang more (((HUGS))) for BFN and AF. No advice on the sway front, but if you truly just want another, regardless of gender, then go for it. Change things up! I would recommend PMing atomic though. She may have some ideas.
Bobster- Even with a high sex drive BD'ing often can get chore-like. DH and I used to be rabbits but after TTC #2 for years only to lose him @ 20w 5d and have to start over (luckily it only took like 5 months that time). My sex drive was non-existent, and has never quite recovered. It is better now but nothing like it was. DH's drive has recovered but back then it was a lot of pressure on him. He got to the point that he didn't want to BD but did it for TTC. TTC can be exhausting regardless of your sex drive. As far as your next BD, I am not sure. My instinct has always been to "drown" the egg lol (prob why I have had 3 boys, the girl we lost we weren't trying yet so we DTD like 4-5 days before O, and again in the evening of O day, or maybe it was morning of O day *shrug* we DTD around midnight and the next morning my temp shifted.) So, NOT BD'ing like bunnies when I see a + OPK is going to be a challenge. That might be a question for the long timers... maybe post a new thread and ask them. I think they will say to stay on your normal schedule but I might be wrong *shrug* As far as aspartame, sorry I am no help. I have IBS and it hates aspartame and nothing in this world is worth being that sick!
Taytum- I think it's affecting my sleep too. I don't sleep well in general but the last few days I have like zero energy. Doing my workouts has gone from fun and easy to "is it over yet?" I just don't have the energy.
As for me, AF finally split... I think.. wouldn't be the first time she disappeared only to return this cycle. I have like no energy lately which is making working out very chore-like when I have enjoyed it until the last couple days. Had a few mild headaches yesterday which I am assuming is because of the clomid. I am on day 4 of the regimen. Only one more day to go :) I am having some pinchy pains in my left ovary, which is weird because I O'd from the left last cycle and usually they alternate but whatever. Last night they started and were barely perceptible but this morning I definitely feel it. Nothing extreme, just very aware of it, though if I am feeling it already it does make me concerned about how bad it will get by the time I O. Hoping and praying for a BFP with a pink bow this cycle :) I'm not all that optimistic but a little hope never hurt anyone :) *Fingers crossed* that we all get our BFPs in the color we are hoping for this month :)
*sigh* time for my workout :(

If my past cycles are any indication, I should be Oing in 4-5 days. I typically get 5-6 High days on my cb advanced before I get a Peak. Which would mean that I would O either the day of my bd attempt or the day after. So, I guess I'll have 2 attempts back to back since I'm doing the additional attempt at +opk. Wow, that actually makes me nervous! But I haven't gotten a BFP in the last 3 months of trying, so I guess it's worth a shot, right?? I felt really confident about it a few days ago, but now that it's right around the corner I'm totally second guessing it. What do you guys think? This is the first cycle that I'm doing bd every 3 days. Should I jump in and add the additional attempt at +opk or should I wait until next month to add that (if I don't get a bfp this month)?? Next month is my last cycle ttc for a few months. We have 2 kids with May birthdays and we don't want to risk a 3rd, so we're taking Aug and Sept off.

Sorry af got you maiden
Mom - if you are doing every 4 days plus an extra on opk day will you be doing it 2 days in a row? Have you asked atomic for advice? Maybe the 4th bd will be enough if it's only 2 days before o. I'm hoping so as that's when my 4th day should land too.
Taytum I have one boy and I'm sorry to tell you that the month we conceived him was a fluke in terms of dtd as we did it loads (my birthday+alcohol+holiday) so I would still try to dtd as much as possible in that fertile week. We also are loads and I was at my heaviest adult weight, had been on prenatals for over a year and was overall very nutritionally healthy. Plenty of snacking, varied diet and no exercise. Also had copious ewcm for over a week! Loads!
Now on this LE diet I feel completely drained of energy, I feel like the weight loss has made me look unwell and my complexion and hair/nails are lank and generally feeling crap. Yay! How backwards is it to be happy to be unhealthy ha!
Can't wait to eat steak and chips and chicken with creamy sauces etc as soon as I get that bfp!!! Mmmm

Two - you've had a lot going on and j can see why BDing would literally suck the life out of you. I had a really long cycle from October-February with no period and finally O'd in Feb and got a BFP. Unfortunately it ended up being a chemical but I was so upset and exhausted from the lack of ovulation that thinking about starting all over put me over the deep end. I definitely can relate to your experience of the looming starting over. Ugh. And it's definitely not letting me sleep. I went to bed around 9:30 last night and woke up thinking I'd slept all night only to find it wasn't even midnight. [emoji15] I'm glad I have summers off to sit around and take it easy! FX for you this cycle!
Momamia: I don't know much about girl swaying so I can't help, but if it were me I would go every 3 days and try that this cycle if you haven't in the past? Either way though - good luck! [emoji166]
Tfahn: I would say temp spike is just around the corner! Everything crossed for you this month!!
Good luck Daisy! [emoji170]
Bobster: haha just my luck! That's okay; we're going on vacation this next week right during my fertile time so I'm hoping to just stick to EOD (which is more than normal anyway!) and take my OPKs and try to get some additional attempts in at +. I've been on prenatals since October and have gained my weight back since getting off BC so aside from any EWCM (I don't seem to have much) hopefully I'm following in your footsteps for a DS! You all are so lucky! Ya'll are managing to lose weight! I started to lose weight before AF then gained it all back. I am hoping it is just water retention due to AF and I will go back down and continue losing but, honestly, I am starting to feel like what is the point of doing all this if losing weight is key and I'm not losing :( Granted my diet isn't perfect... or even pretty, but I stay in the limits for the most part.
I don't eat all "fancy-like" like you all do lol ;) I am a very simple person with a very simple palette and I eat very simply. To me a char grilled hot dog or a juicy burger beats a steak any day of the week (just an example, pink swayers can't have red meat just illustrating my point). Recipes with more than 5 ingredients annoy me lol. And the ingredients have to be something we usually have on hand anyway. I'll buy something extra here or there for a recipe but for the most part, not so much. I look at ya'lls (GD in general not just those on this thread) menus and such and they sound delicious but they also sound like a lot of extra hassle lol.
I will post a couple days to show you what I mean and to see if maybe you all can see something I am doing wrong...
This is yesterday, which was pretty typical except for dinner which was carb-a-polooza lol. Definitely NOT a typical dinner:
Breakfast (around like 12-1 o'clock): 1 four inch pancake with da vinci sugar free caramel flavored syrup and 1 whole egg.
Lunch- WG toast with butter and Dannon light and fit strawberry cheese cake greek yogurt
Dinner (not so great health-wise but my kids asked for mac and cheese and rice)- mac and cheese with shredded chicken mixed in and chicken flavored rice-a-roni.
Totals: 1,344 calories; 32g fat- should have been higher, but one day won't kill me; 185g carbs (113 from dinner alone- yikes!!); 50 protein; 20g sugar
Monday was...
Breakfast- dannon light and fit strawberry greek yogurt with 2 slices WG toast and butter
Snack- Dannon light and fit strawberry greek yogurt (It'd been hours since I ate, too late for lunch, and I was starving but supper was in a couple hours)
Dinner- (breakfast for dinner... the kids love it lol) 1/2 four inch pancake (can you tell I am enjoying pancakes... been a long time since I let myself have them because I was on a high protein low carb diet), da vinci sugar free cherry syrup, 1 egg, 1 biscuit and 8oz 2% milk.
After dinner "snack" (more like lunch after dinner, lol, needed more calories, ect. and I was hungry anyway I don't generally snack but just worked out this way this time): other half of four inch pancake and SF cherry syrup, another biscuit and egg.
Drinks: 8 oz peach chardonnay, cup of coffee with 3 tsp lactose free caramel vanilla powdered creamer and 4 tbsp da vinci SF caramel flavored syrup
Totals: 1,440 calories; 65g fat; 138 carbs; 58 protein; 55 sugar
Then for breakfast (@ 1 pm) today I had half a cup of cottage cheese and 2 sliced WG toast with SF grape jelly... Like I said, I like simple, lol.
Regardless of what I eat though I stay in or below the recommended stats for the most part and 90% of the time don't even reach 1500 calories :/ Usually I land right about 1,100-1,400 calories. I don't eat much so higher calories (as in ifI needed to raise my calories to lose) would mean either eating junk like cookies and candy or drinking simple sugars like sweet tea, more wine, etc.
Can you all see anything I am doing wrong??

Thank you. Sorry I missed this post before. TBH I HATE TTC. I hate the ups and downs of it, I hate the lack of spontaneity and passion because of scheduled nature of it (even if you aren't swaying it's all very scheduled). I literally can not think of a single thing I like about TTC except the end of it... the BFP and that brings its own whole new set of issues with it thanks to 2 losses. I literally can't just relax and enjoy pregnancy. I'm always wondering if the other shoe is going to drop and when. So, I guess you can say the only part of TTC I like is the very, very end of it with a healthy baby in my arms. When I got preg with my most recent preg I was in a rush the whole time. I wanted time to pass quickly so I could be at the grand finale ASAP because preg doesn't feel safe to me. I think that it the hardest part of having to start over. I mean, there is the grief and pain, which obviously sucks, but on top of that the knowledge that all the time that passed toward the end goal has to be done all over again. All the worry, all the stress all over again.
I am sorry about your chemical preg. I know a lot of people try to classify losses as one being somehow worse than another but not me. I don't know much about chemical pregs but knowing or believing you are preg just to find out you don't get to have the prize at the end... it really doesn't matter if you have thought you were going to have a baby for 40 secs or 40 weeks, it all hurts. In many ways my early loss (just shy of 8 weeks) was harder on me than my late loss (20w 5d). I don't know why, but even before I found out she was a girl it was really hard. My guess is because I didn't get to have a funeral and say goodbye, get closure, like I did with my son. I say all that because the way you said that it was a chemical "but" you were upset made me think that maybe some of those "others" had gotten to you and made you feel you didn't have a right to grieve or something... if not, well then just ignore me ;) lol

Two: I'm definitely with you on the food department! I literally buy everything I need for the week and that's usually it. I have just about the same thing for each meal, but maybe snack on different things throughout the day. DH wants to lose weight for summer (but is really muscular and has been lifting for 8 years) so he eats like the same thing every day too so I don't have motivation to make anything else for just me. Plus I hate spending so much money on groceries for the two of us, and like I said he eats the same thing and I can't eat all of it before it spoils so...I feel ya! [emoji6] I don't know much about a girl diet or calories, but I can't believe you can hold out breakfast until noon! Willpower!
Thank you so much for your support. I think the worst part about my chemical was I found out from the doctor on Friday and it was the first time anyone had said to me, "You're pregnant!" So I went the whole weekend thinking I was pregnant and just marveling at it all and then on Monday did follow up blood work and got the call it wasn't there. So maybe it was the extended time, not sure. And I cannot imagine worrying and not enjoying pregnancy like you said. It feels like it's suppose to be a magical thing and I'm sure that's so hard on you and DH. I feel like for such a long time I've always said I feel like I will love being pregnant; not knowing all the struggles and scares I know now. But yes, the daunting task of starting over and planning BD and waiting and waiting just sucks; I hate it as well. Who knew I avoided it all those years only to find out it's not that easy!

Hahaha, nah morning isn't the hard part for me. I have plenty to keep me busy until it's time to eat. Generally I get up, feed the kiddos, do my workout, then hubby comes home on lunch around 11:30-12:30 and I cook something up for him and visit for a few until he leaves (he gets 2 30 min lunches instead of 1 one hour lunch because he works such long hours), maybe take a quick shower if the kids are occupied playing in their room. Then I feed the kiddos lunch, might eat too then but sometimes I wait until I have then down for a nap so I can eat and then clean or relax or whatever while it is quiet. Evenings are the hard part for me. We typically eat dinner when hubby gets home which is usually around 7, but not always, sometimes night shift takes over and he gets to come home early (around 4'ish) like he did I think it was Monday (whichever day I had lunch AFTER dinner lol). Evening is when my hunger really kicks in esp considering I am usually up pretty late thanks to insomnia (it is nearly 2 am here now, if that gives you any idea) and that is when I have to really fight the urge to eat. It's quiet in the house, nothing to do to take my mind off my tummy. So yeah, evenings are much harder.
And you are very welcome :) I get it. The moment you find out you are pregnant you begin planning and dreaming and to have that rug pulled out from under you is hard, regardless of how far in you are. The one plus side you get, if such a thing exists with a loss, is there will come a point in your case where you will likely begin to feel secure in your pregnancy. Maybe it will be after your first u/s when you see a bean snuggled in tight, maybe it will be after the first trimester is over. But at some point you will likely begin to feel safe and that is a good thing! The innocence of pregnancy is a wonderful thing, enjoy it!! I might have even been able to say the same thing about myself if both my losses had been early losses. But with my first loss I was halfway there and there was no warning, no sign of a problem. No bleeding, no cramping, nothing. That's how both my losses were. So, for me, the reason pregnancy doesn't feel safe is because barring doppler (which I use frequently once I am far enough along) or u/s I have NO CLUE if baby is okay in there. Part of me thinks it'd be different if there had been some kind of sign... anything that said "hey! you might wanna pay attention here!" because then I could just be on the lookout for signs and not worry as much unless I saw/felt a warning, kwim? If not I'll try to explain...Horrible analogy warning, lol- Kinda like if you survive a tornado, the next time you know what to look for because you saw the weather before it hit, heard what it sounded like, etc. so you have an idea of what might clue you in to take cover next time. So, every storm doesn't send you running into your basement. In my case, my curtains were closed and my TV was too loud so I didn't see or hear anything except my house being ripped apart when it hit and the aftermath so now I'll always have some fear of storms. I hope I am making at least a little sense, lol. You may see what I mean when you get pregnant again... you may not be 100% excited until you know for sure, 100% that it's not another chemical. Until then you will be happy, of course, but a part of you may worry until you get confirmation. Honestly, from the deepest depths of my heart, I hope that is not the case and you can just believe everything is ok and not worry, but just know it is normal if you do worry. It is one of the "joys" of being in the "club" (angel mommy club) that nobody ever wanted to be in. Anyway, I am getting tired FINALLY and so I am babbling so... I am just gonna shut up now before I add a few more chapters to this book, lol.

That analogy makes perfect sense. I didn't even know you could miscarry that far along without warning signs (or really at any time in pregnancy). My heart aches for you. Is there a point for you that you feel you can finally relax? I really hope you get your sticky pink bean that stays happy and healthy nine months and beyond. I admire your strength through TTC; I don't know if I could keep going. You are tough!
I think you're right; I think I'll probably feel so much better after bloods are done confirming a pregnancy and then maybe after the first u/s. I'm somewhat of a worrywart anyway, which I'm sure doesn't help things.
And, Clomid hasn't made my temps wonky like I thought it would. Hoping that's a good sign!

The only "sign" I had wasn't really a sign. I remember I was running around town, trying to get stuff ready because we were about to go out of town for the weekend to visit my family. So, I am driving down the road and my heart literally stops beating for a moment, there was a pressure buildup and then my heart started beating again really hard and fast. That has happened from time time for as far back as can remember so I shrugged it off. Then about 2 mins later it happened again, and then again about 5 mins after that. I knew if I called my PCP they would tell me to go to ER so I called my OB who I knew would get me in right away (and was about a block from the ER, if that, if it was something serious. I just didn't want to spend all day in the ER and find out it was nothing). Anyway, my OBs office told me to come right in, said it sounded like palpatations but they wanted the doc to check me out. So, I got there and my BP was high. That mixed with the fact that at my previous visit it had gone up to a borderline level and the palpatations he put me on BP meds and I was on my way. When I got back from my trip I had a regular appt scheduled for my "big u/s" (the gender ultrasound). I remember I guzzled a mountain dew to wake baby up because he had been "sleeping" all morning and I wanted to make sure he was good and active so we could get a good potty shot. That u/s is when we found out that he had passed about a month prior. So, for a month all the twinges I felt that I thought where him moving about were muscle spasms. I even had them in the hosp as I was being admitted so I made the nurse check him in case the u/s was wrong because I could feel what I thought was him moving around, but he was gone. That's when I was told what I had been feeling was muscle spasms. In hind sight I know that the palpatations and high BP were my body fighting the infection that was growing in in his gestational sac and the spasms were probably because of the same thing but those were aftermath of his loss, not warnings that something was wrong.
With the girl I lost the only "signs" I had was that I wasn't purging my guts out like I had with all my previous pregs. But with each preg my morning sickness was a little less harsh and a little more tolerable each time. With my first I had hyperemesis (a severe form of morning sickness), with my second I was crazy nauseous all day and got sick several times a day but not as bad as my first, with my third I was nausea most of the day and only got sick once or twice a day. So, I just thought that it was a progression of my body getting more used to being preg. I had a strong gag reflex and smells made me nauseous, so it wasn't like I wasn't sick at all so it made sense. And I had enough fatigue that I felt like I'd been shot with a horse tranq lol. All I could do was sleep. So, I had no reason to believe there was anything wrong.
I honestly don't know if I will ever find a point of feeling safe again. Before my most recent loss the first trimester wasn't a big fear because preg symptoms are generally strong in the first tri so I *thought* I'd know if there was an issue.. the fear hit @ 12 weeks because my first loss was in the second trimester. With my third (the one I had after my first loss) I used the doppler at least 3x a day after 12 weeks and once I could feel him move the poor kid didn't get to sleep lol. Every time he got to still I'd panick and start poking my belly until he started moving again. I was less scared towards my third trimester, because he was big enough I could feel his every move and it felt nothing like a spasm, but I still was eager for him to be born so I knew he was safe. My mom had 8 pregnancies, total of 9 babies, including stillborn twins at 9 months. I am the only one that made it, so I apparently have a genetic predisposition for losing babies. Most women feel that the womb is the safest place for baby, I feel the opposite. If baby is born and something is going on I can see it and react, but in my belly I have no idea what might be going on. BTW, PLEASE don't let what I am saying affect your pregnancy. These are MY fears and there is every chance in the world that you will have 100% normal, healthy pregnancies.
Anyway, back to cycle stuff, lol. I feel like we kinda thread jacked a bit... :worry: I only have a couple temps so far, but they in normal range so hopefully I can same the same as you (that it hasn't made my temps wonky). I took my last dose so now I wait to O. My CM is creamy already which concerns me as clomid is supposed to dry you up. So, I don't know if it is because of the clomid (as if the fact that I am still taking it) causing the creamy CM, if I eally am going to O early or if it's a sign that I am going to be battling it out with EWCM. I know we need some but I typically have a lot. I read on here someone said their EWCM is like birthing a jelly fish, lol, and unfortunately I can relate. I guess time will tell. How are you doing side effect wise? The first few days I had a lot of side effects but at this point I am just unbelievably tired STILL. If I didn't have kids I'd be asleep right now lol. I am officially blaming the clomid. I looked it up and these are the possible side effects:
You should check with your doctor immediately if any of these side effects occur when taking clomiphene:
More common
Bloating
stomach or pelvic pain
If any of the following side effects occur while taking clomiphene, check with your doctor or nurse as soon as possible:
Less common or rare
Blurred vision
decreased or double vision or other vision problems
seeing flashes of light
sensitivity of eyes to light
yellow eyes or skin
Some of the side effects that can occur with clomiphene may not need medical attention. As your body adjusts to the medicine during treatment these side effects may go away. Your health care professional may also be able to tell you about ways to reduce or prevent some of these side effects. If any of the following side effects continue, are bothersome or if you have any questions about them, check with your health care professional:
More common
Hot flashes
Less common or rare
Breast discomfort
dizziness or lightheadedness
headache
heavy menstrual periods or bleeding between periods
mental depression
nausea or vomiting
nervousness
restlessness
tiredness
trouble in sleeping

Wow. Thank you so much for sharing your story and giving me and others so much insight. I won't hijack the thread any more, but like I said before, you are such a strong, amazing woman. Your DH and DS's are so lucky to have you. Wishing all of baby dust (albeit I don't have much lol [emoji6]) to you guys and a full enjoyable pink pregnancy. Thank you again so much for sharing. [emoji177]
Last dose tomorrow and aside from a few night sweats days 2 & 3 I don't feel much different. I've also had some creamy CM so I'm hoping that's a good sign too for an early O. I've never gotten EWCM up to this point so I also hope this will open those gates up. I've been tired, but have wondered if it's been because of tossing/turning at night.
Edit: I also feel like every month I only get right ovary pain. Do other people switch? Is this normal to have a dominate ovary or could I be ovulating from the left but am more sensitive to R twinges?

Glad you got something out of my babbling lol.
Are you taking anything for your CM? I had to take mucinex (active ingredient is Guaifenesin) when I took clomid to TTC my second. Robitussin I am told also works. I also used preseed lube.
As far as O pains, it could really go either way. If you do have a dominate ovary though that doesn't mean anything is wrong. The human body is full of dominant parts. Dominant hand, dominant leg, etc. I even found while BF'ing my youngest that you can even have a dominant breast. He could eat all day (he literally ate all day and night for the first 6 weeks of his life... it was fun trying to figure out a SAFE way to sleep and nurse at the same time SMH) on one side. The other side had a good supply but nothing like the dominant side. Doesn't mean there is a problem, just means that is how you body operates. I have a strong suspicion that you likely just feel it better on that side though. I feel both sides but the right side always seems to hurt more for some reason. Either way as long as one of the sides are working that is all that matters :)
Speaking of right side mine have flipped sides. I was having pains on my left and today it has been my right. So I guess this cycle the sides are racing to see who can win ;) lol j/k... sorta :giggle:
I wonder since we are only a day off each others clomid schedule if we will O close to the same time

I took some Guaifenesin a few cycles ago, but didn't really notice a difference? Right now though I feel like I have more CM than normal (I'm not good with sticky/creamy though. It's somewhere in the infertile range though haha). We're also going to use preseed this month, but we use it more like general lube, not like it's suppose to be used lol. So hopefully this works! Going to start the more regular BDing tomorrow and just go from there next week while on vacation!
Good to know its normal! Maybe you'll ovulate from both and just take the cake with twins! [emoji12]
I keep analyzing other 5-9 Clomid users and it seems anywhere from cd 15-18?

Looks like I'm going to have to make a call to my Dr., I'm sure I won't get an appt for a few weeks (soon summer holidays here) but since my next cycle will probably also be close to 50 days hopefully I will be able to get some clomid or something similar for the cycle after next. I can't decide if I should try soy one last time, I don't feel like it is really doing anything but I hate to do nothing.

I don't know if this will help or not but sticky is generally scant in quantity and generally creates multiple peaks when you rub your fingers together and separate them. Kinda like if you let elmers glue dry enough on your finger to get tacky. Creamy is very lotion like and can vary in abundance but it is like putting lotion on your finger and rubbing them together... there will be no friction in doing so. This pic may help too, it is a pic I took of my "Taking charge of your fertility" book way back when so I could have it easily accessible for reference. It might help you too :)

Bahahaha! Not with my luck lol. I am actually unopposed to the possibility of twins :) I have kinda wanted twins for a long time. Twin girls would put me on cloud 9 and even out our family, but I'd even be thrilled with BG twins. BB twins we'd be happy with too, of course, but if we are going to have 4 sets of hands tearing my house apart and 4 sets of feet running room to room it'd be nice to have at least 1 girl in the mix :) But we'd be happy with whatever God gave us! I won't "try" for twins because my pregnancies are complicated enough without choosing to voluntarily seek multiples BUT if it were to happen, and both were healthy, we'd be beyond thrilled. Now the idea of triplets + .... THAT terrifies me lol. I only have two hands, what the heck would I do with THREE + babies??? lol. The ironic part is you say that and since I posted that it'd switched sides it has gone double sided on me :suprise: The right side hurts more, as usual, but I am hurting on the left side again too now *shrug* Whichever side wins the first round, I hope it is the :pinksperm: that wins the second round :)
For me, the clomid calculator (http://www.babymed.com/tools/clomid-ovulation-calculator) says:
If you take Clomid for 5 days from 06/22/2015 to 06/26/2015,
you would expect to ovulate between 07/01/2015 and 07/06/2015.
I'm not holding my breath to O within those dates but it'd be nice. Esp if I O'd early enough, got preg and could get a BFP on my b-day, but the chances of that are somewhere in the ballpark of 1 in a million, lol. I would have to O by CD 13 and based on my history with clomid, and my history in general I am looking at CD 17 being the most likely (I generally O somewhere between CD 20 &CD 30 UNmedicated, and around CD 19 with clomid... but that was taking it 5-9, so I might O a bit earlier :fingers:

(((HUGS))) I am sorry, but don't count yourself out completely yet. It ain't over until the witch starts screeching ;) As far as the soy.... Maybe post on the main board and see what those who have more knowledge about this (than me, I used to know herbs & such like the back of my hand but years later I have forgotten most of it :( ) You might need to up the dose( I have no idea what you are taking now)... maybe take it throughout the day instead of all at once (like if you take two pills each day take one in the morning and one in the evening for better absorption) I am not really sure what to suggest as I only used soy for one cycle and it didn't work for me either, and because I didn't have anyone to ask about what I could do safely to change things up I just quit taking it. Many (((HUGS))) hun, but I still have my :fingers: for you.

Two: thank you for the reference! I have that book and always forget to look! Yesterday it seemed more sticky, but was kind of "gushing" when working out (annoying). So I never thought sticky felt that way. I'll be glad my final Clomid is today...now to just wait! I'm thinking closer to CD17 as well, which is only about a week away so still exciting!
I used to loath the thought of twins...that's so much when I don't even know if I can handle one!! But now it's growing on me. B/G or B/B would definitely be my preference. A friend of mine on Clomid is now having B/B twins in October.
Junie: thinking of you! Everything crossed for your new plan of action. I don't know anything about soy, but I hope you get your BFP soon!
Magical: Were you O'ing on Clomid w/o trigger shot? Would it be possible to just do Clomid and go in for CD21 progesterone blood draw to see if you ovulated instead of monitoring u/s? Just trying to think of an idea to help you save $. Hang in there, I know how time/money/emotionally exhausting it is. Extra dust your way!

You are welcome :) And I agree... "gushing" is annoying and just plain feels gross lol. I felt the same way you did before I had my first. I NEVER wanted to have twins my first pregnancy and for the same reason you mentioned. I'd babysat before but I didn't want to have to figure out how to take care of two full-time when I had never even taken care of one full-time, lol. That is a learning curve and I don't think I could have done it x2 and maintained any sense of sanity, lol. My first was hard enough by himself. When he was really little he'd cry and cry, nothing soothed him except the swing and he couldn't stay in that all day... so he cried. A LOT. Then when he got older he went through a screaming phase where he'd scream constantly. Nothing wrong with him, he just liked to hear himself scream lol. Double that and I'd have ended up in the looney bin. BUT don't freak out based on him, I am always a smidge worried that someday my stories about my kids will scare some poor, unsuspecting soon to be first time mom to death, lol. He is autistic and I think that played a big role in that behavior... both my kids are high functioning autistics (my oldest, soon to be 9, is intellectually advanced but socially equivalent to a kindergartener and behaviorally challenging to put it mildly. My youngest, 5, has a very mild case. He is socially well adjusted for the most part but has speech issues and very typical autistic behavior), so I have NO idea what it is like to have a "neuro-typical" child lol. They might be easier ;)

That's so awesome! As a school counselor I spend a lot of time with kids from many walks of life, but we have a very low-functioning autistic student I've worked with who has such a plethora of knowledge about dinosaurs and I just love listening to him share his passion! I love dinosaurs too and wish I had half of the intellect on them that he does. It's so awesome! I also just had a high functioning autistic boy in the graduating class who won several scholarships and is now on his way to college to be an accountant. A friend of mine has three boys, and the oldest and youngest are both autistic, and relatively relating to yours in diagnosis. She is such a strong, patient and loving woman, much like I'd imagine you are! They're all such amazing kids!

Thank you for the vote of confidence  I'll be honest, boy do they know how to ride my nerves sometimes lol, but for an autistic child to show affection you know it is truly genuine so when my youngest is screaming that he wants to be with me (instead of going with Daddy, or visa versa) or they out of the blue come up and give me a hug and a kiss or tell me they love me it means more to me than my weight in gold. My oldest is obsessed with math, numbers and maps. He was multiplying and dividing when his peers were learning to add and subtract, he writes and draws and does math constantly (seriously! We should buy stock in the notebook paper companies lol, he had fill up a 5 subject notebook in a week!) and we call him our little GPS. When he was 4 he started reading street signs, at 5 he was learning maps and by age 6 he could tell you how to get to just about anywhere in our state, usually with several possible routes and he knows them all, and how to get to most places in a 3 state radius! I'll never forget the day he started explaining how to get to the town my dad had just moved to in Georgia. He'd never been there but road by road he gave very detailed directions. A friend of the family was there at the time and is a trucker and they were amazed that he got it right and started quizing him on how to get to different places. My son ate it up, of course, and it was like a new little party game "try to stump the map savant" lol. My youngest is more into puzzles and how things work, what makes them tick.

I don't think it would hurt to talk to your doctor. Mine gave me the clomid without any hassle. I know all doctors are different but I think it's worth it to see what they have to say.

Yes, 3 consecutive days of elevated temps= O :) 2 exceptions exist though. 1: If you are ill and have a fever and 2: Occasionally women will have what is known as a "fallback rise". This is where the temp will jump up one day, dive down the next, then back up the 3rd day. In that case O isn't confirmed unless day 4 is also high. :) HTH
Cautious congrats :D

Please, please please stick to every 3 days and do NOT add an extra attempt! You really haven't been TTC that long and extra attempts really sway blue. I implore you to try the 3 days method for a full 3 cycles before adding attempts. Though most likel you will ge pregnant before that point. Fx!
Two, you have been through so much and I second Taytum, you are one strong, amazing woman!
Taytum, most women do have a dominant ovary and in the majority the right ovary is dominant. However, it's totally normal to feel pain on bith sides as follicles swell and develop in both ovaries. Feeling ovarian activity, more often/more intense/on both or a different side from usual, etc, are all VERY common on Clomjd, in fact the the most frequent side effects. Headaches and hot flashes are the next most common.
Two, as an addendum to above, I wouldn't read too much into any ovarian sensations on Clomid, like thinking you might have teins. Definitely possible but not necessarily bc of any symptoms you get on Clomid. Fx both you & Taytum O 7 days after your last dose!

Oh, if you only knew, lol. He is one of those kids that is smart and he KNOWS it lol. He'll even carry on a convo about how smart he is, lmbo. Right now he is saying he wants to be a pediatric neurosurgeon (he is familiar with what they do because my youngest sees one for an arachnoid cyst and shunt care). My youngest hasn't voiced any career interests yet, which doesn't surprise me one bit because he is still little, but I could see him doing so many things with his interests. Like I mentioned before, he loves puzzles and I gotta share a little story from today. This afternoon he wanted to do a maze soooo bad. He asked me to draw him one but I am NO good at drawing mazes. I tried and we all got a good laugh from it, though. So, all day today hubby and I had been doing yard work so I only ate once and had a TON of calories, fat... pretty much everything to get in to meet goals and it got late and the boys needed to get to bed so we decided to go to get something for dinner. Where do you go if you are looking for high calories and fat with minimal nutrition? McDonald's!! Lol. So, anyway, we get there and get our trays with our food and one of the liners was the one with the puzzles on it. It was so cute... He saw the maze and got SO excited, like it was Christmas or something, lol. He barely ate because he was to busy figuring out the maze and explaining it to me. Took him about 20 mins to eat 1 chicken nugget and 2 fries because he just kept doing the same maze over and over again. Finally, I had to tell him we'd take the paper home with us just so he'd eat, lol. He is something else lol.

It keeps saying a moderator needs to approve my post... but only ever on this thread :( I can post short, quick replies but anything longer than a few sentences I have to get approved... I know it is the software, but it really needs to quit picking on me

I made an appt with my Dr.! This is a big step for me but I figure it can't hurt. I won't get in until next week so I won't be getting any drugs for this cycle, but I'm fine with that. I'm hoping the other changes I'm making help, although I've decided to skip soy. I just don't think it did anything for me.

Thinking of you, Ash! Let us know results!
Maiden: thanks for the reassurance! I was afraid only one ovary worked since I could feel it so much more. I felt a lot more activity yesterday so I'm hoping they're working hard in there!
Junie: that's so great! I'm glad you made the appointment, even if it's only to get some reassurance. And hopefully you won't even need anything next cycle with a BFP!
Finally had a steady sleep now that I'm off Clomid and began our BD EOD until +OPK trek for the next 10 days! Hopefully I push one out by then! Hubby and I are in the process of buying a new car so I'm really excited to have that take my mind off everything and we leave for vacation Wednesdaay.

CD 11, and started OPKs today just to watch progression. But got a positive; I'm thinking this is likely because of Clomid as it would be too soon after the last pill, correct? I'm not putting a lot of stock into it, but I definitely don't want to be surprised! Has anyone else experienced this?

I didn't know clomid affected OPKs until this cycle, lol. I started testing for the same reason and though I was gonna end up O'ing super-duper early until I looked it up. They say to wait 3 days after your last pill (CD 12 for you) to start testing and it's true for me. The line that has been there was almost completely gone as of last night (haven't tested yet today) and today makes day 3 since my last pill. You are TTC a boyso multiple attempts are no issue so I'd say to BD, just in case, but likely it is just remnants of the clomid so don't stop testing yet :)
BTW I replied to one of your posts yesterday (the one that need mod approval) and it still hadn't been approved, but hopefully it will be eventually :/

Yeah, mine went weird on me last night too. Kind of a hybrid of creamy and watery, like a super thin creamy, which I think is called "milky" (never had it before that I can recall so not sure) which is in the "creamy" family so that is what I marked it. It is the same today. Literally all I am waiting on is my surge and my cervix to open the rest of the way. It is sitting at high, soft, partly open right now so I am hoping this means an early O for me :fingers: BUT my OPK is - :( a bit darker than last night but still very -.

I'm getting really frustrated. Today is the 7th day that I've had a "High" on my cb advanced. I thought for sure I'd have O'd by now. Is that common? My ovaries were very active yesterday, so I was convinced that I'd get a +opk today. What's the deal??

Well I think since my main issue is the long cycles that he will help me earlier at least I hope so. I mean it is hard enough to pinpoint ovulation with a 28 day cycle, with a 50 day cycle and multiple positive OPKs it sometimes seems impossible LOL. I am CD3 today and will be CD12 for my appt.

I know nothing about fertility monitors, but it there any chance it could be acting up because of low batteries or it needs a reboot or something?? Maybe it isn't a very strong surge so it is taking longer? I wish I could be more help :( Maybe if no one here knows, post on the main forum and see if anyone has any ideas.
I googled it and it doesn't seem very uncommon though... a lot of people have had the same problem.

Hmm, doc may have you go ahead and take it... but it is unlikely so you are prob right that you won't have it for this cycle. Trust me, I know what it is like for your body to NOT do what it is supposed to. It is extremely frustrating. Some docs won't bother to look at them (my first doc I went to for help wouldn't, and wouldn't help either :( ) but more and more docs are beginning to accept charting as a valid method of monitoring your cycles. So, I suggest printing out your charts for at least as long as you have been TTC... make sure to include ones where you weren't taking any sups so they can't blame those! I did that with my current OB/GYN and he actually looked them over. It helps them to see everything in black and white, so to speak. Anyone can say their cycles are long but the charts not only lend credibility to what you say but also provide more info in a glance than you could ever even remember about your cycles. For example, I can tell by the erratic nature of your temps that there is prob something awry hormonally. Not too bad... I've seen much worse... heck I've had much worse lol, but something is gunking up the works. So, it is good to bring them along with you!

Forgot you were on clomid... it all makes sense now! Even my OPKs aren't acting normally this cycle. They are definite negatives BUT there is a definite line on them. Typically mine are stark white until just before during and just after ovulation but clomid is making them act differently. Remind me so I don't have to go back and find the post (may anyway lol... just in case though), did you take clomid last cycle? From what tiny bit I know about monitors I know that they learn your norm. Given this is A: only your second cycle using it and B: you may or may not have taken clomid last cycle, it may also still be trying to figure you out, so to speak. Even it you took C last cycle, if C makes OPKs act diff it is bound to do the same with a monitor. Again, I know very little about the monitors but if it operates on the same mechinism as OPKs the "high" may just be because it detects something in your system even if it isn't enough to "peak". Just my take on it, for what it's worth.

This is my first cycle taking clomid. I just took another opk with the other monitor and it came out negative!! So, used the same urine with the first monitor and it said high again. I did notice that the test line is getting darker, so I'm thinking I may get a positive tomorrow morning. For the last hour or so, I've been having sharper pains in my ovaries. I think I'm about to O. I'm just really surprised that it took so long. Thanks for your help everyone!! :)

Almost freaked out this morning! Woke up and took temp at same time and it jumped up! Then I realized how hot I was covered up with the dog laying on me. Kicked blankets off and let the fan blow/cool me off for 15 mins, took temp again and it was already .1 lower. So I marked today questionable and I hope tomorrow it's back down (at least until I can get more attempts in!)

I had the opposite happen. My temp plummeted today by .2 degrees from Sunday's temp, I disturbed yesterday's temp but it was down .5 from yesterday! When I first took it I was like "No way!!". So, I decided to confirm it. Went back to sleep for another hour and that one was even lower (used the first one on chart, the second was just to make sure it was actually low today). Not sure what to make of it. Normally when my temp takes a dive like that it is because I wake up REALLY early and take my temp because it is less than 3 hours before my normal temp time (and you are supposed to take it after a minimum of 3 consecutive hours of sleep) or I am surging and about to O. I haven't tested yet but it has me wondering if it is a drop before the rise... It is not uncommon for me to get a temp drop a day or two before ovulation. Plus, I posted on the main forum about this, after DH and I DTD (protected, not want to ruin our one attempt), there was a bit of EW in there. Practically nothing compared to my norm but it was definitely there! I'll post... or maybe just update this post after I test :) Just waiting to need to use the restroom.

The last one is very close to + but CD 10 AM's test is nearly identical :( Anyone else seeing the same problems with their OPKs? Note: Above the red line are tests taken before CD 10.. when technically I shouldn't have been testing but what can I say I'm a :poas: lol. momamia- It's possible, but since you aren't charting there is no way to know for sure w/o blood work :( I think true's advice is sound... I think I am going to post on the main board and ask if others had issues with OPKs or monitors while on clomid. I think it'd help us all. Plus, I don't remember what your BD plan is but DH and I changed from E4D to 1 attempt @ + OPK and at this point I really don't know if I'll ever see a + OPK so I may need to change back.

Honestly, I don't know. I don't usually get tested until CD 70+ for my doc to confirm that I have not O'd, I'm not preg and it is safe to induce AF. The one time I got tested earlier because I was TTC and my chart was wonky so I didn't know what was going on I thing I was CD 30+. I would wait a few more days to see how everything goes but it doesn't hurt to call and ask. Worst case scenario you have to wait but you have an appt ready and waiting at that point if you need it (you can always call and cancel later) instead of waiting to call only to find out that you'll have to wait even longer for your appt.

Just don't stop BDing early, BD through the latest you've ever Oed just in case your Clomid response isn't good.

Lol, I was going to say the same thing!! So strange but kinda cool ;)
I posted like I said I would, if anyone is interested in reading it (TTC/infertility forum, titled something like clomid's affect on OPKs and monitors? Reliable?... something like that). One person mentioned that their doc said cheaper OPKs may not work (I'm using internet cheapies) and atomic mentioned that some people have ended up waiting and missing their window because OPKs didn't get a +, SO... as much as it kills me to do so (I get anxious about the fact that I have ZERO control of when the attempt falls as far as O-3, O-2, etc.) I think DH and I are going to go back to E4D unprotected (use protection in between) because as anxious as the idea of ending up with our attempt(s) landing on O-3 and O+1, the idea of NO attempt at all is worse. I am going to keep testing to see if I do end up getting a +, so I know for next cycle and also because I am a :poas: and I'd be kidding myself to think I wouldn't test with tests on hand. At least this way we're covered in the attempt dept and I can find out if my OPKs will eventually give me a + w/o having to risk missing my window completely. I am so envious of you boy swayers being able to be as bunny like as you want, or not, lol  A boy sway seems like it'd be so much easier for me in so many ways... but that's probably why I've had 3 boys

I totally agree two!! A boy sway does seem easier as far as dtd is concerned, but like you said, I'm sure that's why we have our boys, lol!!!

No temping this morning - drank too much last night. [emoji6] I probably won't be able to temp until Saturday morning if I had to guess. Hoping that drinking right now won't throw off my Clomid or my body. Going to probably not try to drink as much.
And I just found out my best friend is pregnant today on vacation. So happy for her, but you ladies know how it goes. They got off BC when I did, but we're just avoiding it and the first month they tried it happened. [emoji17] like I said, so happy for her, just hate this struggle.
On a brighter note, vacation is good and DH and I bought a new car this week!

Hello! I've had a busy few days but I think I'll hop in here if I can! I'm finally (lol) on the tail end of my 2ww. Really feeling prego - tested today at 10/11 dpo with a regular cb and got the faintest of faint positives.. I think. I wished I had had a frer on hand. With my two boys I didn't test positve til 13 dpo so I'm just going to test daily til I see that clear positve haha. What has me a little nervous is I did have a miscarriage last winter (it was a surprise pregnancy -twins-and ended in d&c). I sure hope it's a clear positve soon!!

Probably better if it wasn't a surge anyway! You O'd like the next day after your surge, right? If I surged today and O tomorrow that would land me square in the conundrum I am hoping to avoid (O-3 & O+1 attempts). I'd be good with O'ing Sunday, Monday or Tues though :) Our next planned BD is Sunday! If I surge tomorrow though would late tomorrow night be considered a 2nd attempt? Like around 10 or 11 pm? I usually stay up pretty late thanks to insomnia and I doubt DH would mind a "happy" wake-up around 1'ish so that is an option too. Or do we have to wait until we wake up Sunday at the earliest for it to be considered one attempt, E4D style?
Here is a question... when you get +OPK on a non-medicated cycle do you normally O that quickly? Do you chart? Or do you not know 100% usually? Last time I took clomid I surged for days before O'ing so I don't want to jump the gun, but I also don't want to wait too long and have our only attempt be too far out to do any good. Decisions, decisions, lol.

Yay for a faint positive boyboygirl, I hope it is darker today!
Twointow I tend to always want to jump the gun as I'm so sick of waiting but normally an unmistakable positive shows up a few days after my first real surge and I ovulate 24-48 hrs after that. I would stick with Sunday for your attempt.
AFM- just waiting to get closer to my normal O time it could/probably will still be a few weeks so no reason to stress about TTC.

Welcome, Pbn3! :)
Twointow83, I got a rise in Monday and then my peak on Wednesday at like 11pm. Then I had severe O pains (I always get really bad O pains when I ovulate) Thursday starting at 6pm. I only started temping on cd14 this cycle but I had a definite rise on cd15 & cd16 and then a slight drop on cd17. So, I'm pretty positive that I o'd on cd16. As far as dtd, I personally count 1am on Sunday as Sunday. I try to go by the actual hours (so E4D would be every 96 hours) although I don't think a few hours either way will make a huge difference. What time of day do you normally bd?

Another super super faint positve on a regular cb - ever so slightly more visible than yesterday. This time an equally faint hint of a line on cheap test strip as well. I'm cautiously hopeful but I'm getting some first response tests today! I feel the same as when I was pregnant with my first son - my second son was different (bloated vs nauseous). I'm 11 or 12 dpo.. My temp also hasn't done a 3rd rise yet - should that be a factor in whether this is real or maybe a bean that isn't going to stick?

I was the same way with my last. Normally I get early bfps (10dpo) but I had the faintest of faint lines until I was 2 days late. Got a blood + before I got a solid hpt bfp and my first blood level, 3 days AFTER my first uber faint line, was 13!!! Fingers are crossed for you!!
