Ah Petal, made me very broody! Just something addictive about pregnancy, labour and newborns! Good job we are ttc next cycle lol!

Charlie, hope your feeling better!

What timing plans are everyone going to do? My plan keeps changing lol, def. doing abstinacne of 7 to 10 days ish but am considering dtd with a hole in the condom at positive opk, and then dtd again as close to 0+12 as I can, should be no more than 24 hours between both dtd's. Just giving this month all my effort for dieting which I think is the most important, so want to put all my effort into getting pregnant without going too boy territory.

Im so hungry! Today I ate pasta and a little parmasan at 11:45 and a muller light, few sugar free marshmallows, and a raspberry, sweetner and skimmed milkshake, then 2 frozen sachets of rice and veg for tea. Just checked sugar levels which were quite low at 3.8 so had a big rice cake with jam on. Been feeling a bit shaky so although low blood sugar sways, I dont want it that low. Lots of caffiene free diet coke helps with the hunger though thankfully

Chocolate I'll probably go with 0+12 but still looking at think so may change my mind yet! I must look at the ig diet in more detail! There is one question I have, I've seen the diets say to skip breakfast and to have 2-3 meals a day but to keep your portions small because you don't want to have raised sugar levels etc but it also says to eat 1500-1800 cals a day. Well being a calorie counter already I just can't see how it's possible to have 3 small meals that takes you upto your daily cal limit without snacking!

Petal, I'm do happy for you! You sound like your in ore of Oakley! I cannot wait for that day again! Can't wait to see a picture of him! And congratulations to you all again! X

Morning.

Chocolate are you doing a mixture of LE and IG? Because some of what you are eatting isn't on the IG diet like marshmallows have gelatine in them which your ment to stay away from on the IG diet. You need to try and keep your blood sugar low so shouldn't snack too much as it never has the time to crash again.
You will feel really weak and awful for at least the first week. I became really forgetful and a bit shakey and just felt really rough. Now it just feels normal to eat so little. If I feel a little hungry i'll have a glass of milk or a peppermint tea. The hardest thing is the no breakfast bit I always wake up hungry and would normally at least have a cup of tea to start the day. But now having nothing is bleuughh.

I'm going O+12 and one attempt my first TTC cycle and two (+12 and +16) the following cycle if i don't get a bfp. I'm also going to to get DP to abstain.

Kell i'm probably having about 1000-1500 cal a day I think some days much less if I'm busy and can't get hold of any girl friendly food. You can up your cal by cooking with unsalted butter. I'm also drinking semi skimmed milk and not skimmed.

Charlie how are you feeling? If you are happy to wait a few weeks then I would wait until your 12 week scan with your dates. If you feel it will give you a better idea and more reassurance of how bean is doing.

LMW how are you? Has AF made an appearance?

Sunset enjoy shopping 30 weeks wow not long now at all now!

November 14th, 2011, 05:34 AM
Glad its normal to feel a bit shaky! I'm doing a mix but will lay off the marshmallows just incase. Ill def. Add the butter as I'm barely eating, just rice and diet coke! I think I'm going more on diet to get a girl than timing so will prob. Do jump and dump at positive opk and after as I only have about 4 pounds to loose so after the first cycle I may stop loosing so need to try to get pregnant first time.

Morning ladies!

I agree with Lavenderlime that skipping breakfast must be the hardest part of the IG girl diet! I always eat breakfast so that part was a major change for me when I did the diet. I never bothered counting calories, but just had my lunch at 12pm, a rice cake or 2 or a yoghurt scone at 3ishPM and my main meal at 6pm. I always found that if i was hungry inbetween meals i would just have a glass of something girl friendly to drink.

How's everyone doing today? anyone near their attempt? who's in the 2ww?

Ah congratulations again Petal! Sounds like a good birth! There is something so magical about newborns... enjoy him!!

Oh charlie - 3am puking sessions! You poor thing... fantastic that you get to have a break from the kids. It is so hard with them when you feel like you just want to hide under a blanket and sleep and feel rotten.

Early night here again...

Hi all, exciting to here a few of you planning your sways to start soon!

Petal, you sound sooooo happy, and im not surprised with a gorgeous little boy like oakley... your fb pic is very cute! Cant wait to see some more pics!

Charlie, how have you been feeling over the weekend and did you decide to book a scan after the spotting you had? sorry i may have missed a post where you already answered that.

Im getting paranoid about the IG diet since my chemical. Every little naughty that i have (which is VERY occasional), i am fretting about blood sugar levels and i know i will be even more worried after my attempt. Is the main thing to just keep eating as we normally have in the 2ww? stay on diet, no brekkie, no snacks etc. Then when we get a bfp do we wean slowly off the diet? The diet side of things seems to be the only thing stressing me out about my sway now.

Have decided that for the rest of my sway i will do o+12, abstinence of 10 days max, no lime, no sudafed, no acigel, prop hips a little .... keeping it VERY simple! Really didn't except to be still waiting for a bfp near christmas time!

How is everyone else? any nice plans this week? i heading up to yorkshire on my own for two nights on wednesday to stay with my friend who's little girl had cancer. She has just finished her chemo but still has to be in quarantine for 6 months so my friend is going out of her mind with boredom! cant wait to see them!

November 14th, 2011, 08:42 AM
Deaks my understanding is: to keep sugar levels low before implantation which is the critical part, so once you have the bfp gradually add more nutritious foods in, you prob. could jump straight in to a big change but me personally will be doing it slowly and still try to eat sensibly and not too much sugary stuff.

Adding explanation to the above, basically girls prefer a low glucose environment, where as boys prefer high, so the boy would be hunting around for the higher environment and not implant until he finds it so just wouldnt implant (so is not a chemical cause never implanted) where as a girl would find the low sugar environment and decide to implant

Cant believe we are only about 4 weeks from the ovulation to ttc! I just got some maternity jeans as had 30% off in peacocks so only £12.50, bargain, couldnt resist lol!

Just forced down rice for lunch and was almost gagging

Lavender, i saw your pics, playhouse looks AMAZING! You have very similar taste to me... both our houses are very country living style!

Chocolate, thanks hun, so i think just stay on diet and if i ever get a bfp will just be sensible with food.... though i will obviously be wanting to stuff my face before MS sinks in!! ha ha, just going to have to be strict! NEED A BFP THIS MONTH BAAAAAAAAD! the diet is seriously wearing thin....10 months i think!

Cant wait for you girls to start your attempts! X

November 14th, 2011, 09:17 AM
btw, do we think IG has gone forever?!

chocolate
November 14th, 2011, 09:45 AM
Yeah sadly I think its gone! Although Im taking a more laid back approach now with ttc, doing the diet etc. but really I just want to be pregnant soon so when DS1 starts school I wont be working so can give him a bit more of me, although with a baby in my arms may be a bit tricky.
Hope this month is the month Deaks, 10 months is soo long on the diets, but seeing as its been so long, it will most likely be a girl as they say low fertility - longer to conceive equals girl :-)

don't worry you're not being rude, but the thing is that we have only just moved over to genderdreaming after our old home unfortunately closed down so don't think we're looking to move again unless genderdreaming closes down for some reason.. which i really hope won't happen... hopefully this will be our third and final home!

Thanks Deaks!:D So glad it's done, Just have to wait to spring to get some pots and roses planted up and finish off the rest of side garden. Then it's on to the back garden....... Can't wait to finish! Ds is so happy because He has somewhere to play that isn't muddy and he can ride his scooter on the decking! And we've now put a battery powered push light in the playhouse so he can still play after pre-school. Damn these short winter days I hate it starting to get dark at 4pm.
I really hope we all get our December BFP!!

Ds Had a lovely party but a 3rd of the children invited were ill and couldn't make it :( and both ds's now have got a a really chesty cough today. Another reason why I'd love a little August baby! Nice warm sunny Birthday Parties.

Sunset please could I have the yoghurt scone recipe? They sound like they'd be really yummy with some sugar free jam. Or made with some parmesan to make them savoury! I think I could actually live off of them! I'm so over pasta now after about 3 weeks of eating it about 5 times a week!

Hi all, not been on for a few days, been nightshift! have missed a few pages, so catching up.

Got my Flu jag today, shame I only got 2hrs sleep before I had to get up and go get it! I have my 16wk(ish) scan tom!! and meet my new 'twin' consultant. My appt at 3.30pm, dh gonna ask them to guess the sex, but I'm not holding my breath at 15w5d.

I've had a funny day, ds1 having bother with a boy in class below him, slapping ds1, name calling then telling everyone it's ds1. He also started to get my 5yr old into bother, telling the teachers he's swearing and admitting to ds1 he's lying to get his wee brother into bother as he hates them both!! When I asked ds2 he said he called him "poo face" but this other boy said he said worse than that and ds1 said that was a lie. The trouble is I am really friendly with his mum, she phoned me tonight and although alot of people think the same as me about this boy, his mum doesn't see what he's like. His mum complained to the school the older boys were hitting him at football, turns out it's because he's calling them names and kicking them! My ds1 doesn't go to football anymore as he was starting to turn on him there too. So difficult when his mum and I are friends, but this boy told his mum today tht my ds1 is telling people not to play with him and ds1 says he's not, no-one wants to play with him as he hits out and called everyone 'penis faces' today. I wouldn't like to think ds1 is lying to me and he's usually a very truthful kid and seems very upset this boy is lying as he used to stick up for him and help him out alot. His mum doesn't know the full story about why the older kids are hitting her son, but after that call I am gonna tell her what I should of done wks ago and why ds1 has no time for him anymore, maybe then she'll wonder why all these kids are arguing and fighting with her son.....because he's a little s**t! I was letting ds1 sort it out himself, but if she wants to make a fuss, so be it!!

Dh decorating the living room, so all squashed into the dining room, it's cosy tho and quiter than the living room. Kids are so excited about the change, kids love stuff like that! Ds1 is 9 on sat, he's so excited to have a laser quest party with his friends and has got an xbox game and cool new books he wants from us. I can't believe he's almost 9!!!!

Hope ur all well, hope ur sways are coming together nicely and hope ur 2ww aren't dragging in....
can't believe ur 30wks Sunset and Petal, Oakley is just gorgeous!

Good luck to you at your scan tomorrow too Inglewood - exciting! What a palaver with the boy at school. I've found that side of things the most difficult part to deal with with the boys starting school - when to encourage them to sort it out themselves and when to step in. I agree it sounds like it might be time to step in on this one - good luck!

Lavenderlime ~ I always used to freeze my yoghurt scones without any problems! :)

Cocos-mum ~ it's hard i know :p i've been on smog now for well.. hmm.. a year and a half I think and i'm still not used to the tempo! ha ha! i always try to log on at least once a day if not more, otherwise there's no way i would be able to keep up.

Inglewood ~ lovely to hear from you, i was wondering how you were doing :) good luck tomorrow at your scan! so exciting for you to see your little beans again, but i wouldn't hold my breath either with them telling you the sex at 15+5.. NHS is so funny with such things I think. Can't wait for your update, i've got my fingers crossed the scan lady lets you have a sneak peak ;)
I'm sorry your son is having such a hard time with this boy :( i have a similar problem with my BIL's stepson.. he's a right little sod and is very bully-ish in the way he plays with my boys and it's gone so far now that my ds1 doesn't like him anymore and gets upset when we go around dh's parents on a weekend because this boy is usually there too.. his mum and my BIL however are blind to this boys behaviour and blames it on everything else and treats him like a 4 year old when he's in fact 7. I am so sick of the whole situation and am soooooo close to putting my foot down and stopping all visits to dh's parents on the same days this boy is there. Bleugh!

Maybebaby ~ i can't believe you're 23 weeks already! how come you need another scan in 3 weeks time? are you enjoying your pregnancy? :)

Maybe, Fx ur Bp beahves too, mine creeps up near the end too, hopefully it behaves this time!

Z, thought now poor ds2 getting dragged into it all was crap, but was letting the boys sort it out themselves, clearly my friend doesn't agree, so have no choice but to get involved!!

Sunset, gosh that's tough when it's family!! My BIL's step-son is mean to ds2, locks him in rooms etc, he's 7 and should know better and I hate visiting them, just watch them like a hawk and don't stay long! Luckily they live 2hrs away, so don't have to see them much. My SIL and BIL just laugh!!! arghhh Not holding out for gender at scan, dh just chancing his arm asking, wish I had £ to go pay for one, but got car's service/MOT and ds1's b'day this week, so no chance...then xmas!!

Evening ladies

Deaks I have to admit that as soon as I had my BFP the diet went out of the window, I had been on it for 51/2-6mths and felt unwell with it, so I ditched it and went straight back on 'normal food' but it didnt last long as I felt so sick I didnt eat much anyway just very plain food!

Inglewood hoping your scan goes well tomorrow and that they can maybe give you a guess as to the gender of the babies!

Inglewood, hope you manage to get things sorted with your friend. It's so stressful isn't it and as much as you don't want to interfere, you can't stand by and watch your sons be bullied.

Inglewood, enjoy your scan, I do hope they can tell the sex for you. Enjoy!

Indigo, the whole loosing weight really worries me too as I wander whether it will stop me getting a bfp. I didn't really have any weight to loose in the first place. Hope your+12 goes well x

Did an opk tonight and it feels like its already getting darker. Really don't want to ov early as supposed to be heading up to Yorkshire on wed for two nights. Really don't want to have to cancel on my friend but at the same time I can't waste a month...plus I would have to tell a whole load of white lies to my parents to explain why I don't need them to baby sit... Argh stressful!

Deaks, have you heard of the theory about dtd on positive opk when you get the lh and fsh surge? App.there was a study done and alot of girls were conceived with that timing, thats what Im going for this cycle. I just feel like low nutrient and dieting is the key, so will bd close to ovulation and hope that timing really is the least important.

No don't worry, at these very early scans human error in measuring can greatly change your dates - even measuring a mm out is quite significant early on. Also, even though you ovulated on that day it's possible you didn't conceive until 24hrs+ later

Charlie glad that that bub is well I wouldn't worry about baby measuring 6 weeks remember when inglewood had her early scan at 6 weeks they could only see one baby and heartbeat and at 12 weeks there were two in there!!

Please try not to worry. x

Charliespy ~ I can't believe you had to wait so long for you scan :S glad they found baby and heartbeat, that's reassuring! I don't know if you have to worry or not but i think what Rainbowflower said makes perfect sense! what did they say at the hospital?

Inglewood ~ I know! it's very complicated just because it's family.. but my patience is wearing very thin and it won't be long until BIL's stepson won't be allowed to play with my boys at all!!! it will just be a case of not going round dh's parents if this boy is there. I thought i was going to die of a shock yesterday because dh told me that his brother had actually said to him yesterday that dh and I need to stop supervising our boys when they are playing with his stepson :S so what then, are we just supposed to leave our children play unsupervised with a 7 year old bully? seriously? that's how blind he is to the whole situation!! He just doesn't see that his stepson is a bully, but instead it's everyone elses fault that his stepson has behavioual issues. arrrgh!!!! first of all, who does not supervise a 3 and a 2 year old when they're playing? and secondly, his stepson is not allowed to play with my boys unsupervised under any circumstances! but unfortunately it's family so i can't just tell my BIL that his son is a horrible, manipulative boy who needs child therapy and play therapy iykwim. Lol sorry for the rant, but i know how frustrating these situations can be.

AFM i bought my first pack of newborn nappies today! :D i also bought a little top for baby and a comforter i'm gonna sleep with so that it has my smell on it. I need to start stacking up on nappies and other essentials before baby comes :) but at least i've done some shopping ;)

Charlie fingers crossed for today xx

No i hadn't heard of that theory but to be honest, in my case i think timing is VERY important. My ph absolutely rockets when i get my LH surge and ov so im not willing to bd through ov just yet. Tamara says there are a small percentage of women that this happens to and it doesn't matter how long im on the diet for, my ph will be very hard to lower during this time. For me, o+12 it has to be...for the moment at least!

But the other day while clearing out cupboards, I came across all the things I bought for ttc, so went to go on ingender (still couldnt get on lol), couldnt get on plumlily either and came across here :)
Maybebaby, I see your are now pregnant, that is fantastic news, never met you but when I read that I was soooo happy for you :)

Wishing4pink ~ glad to see you're still here :) April isn't that far away ;)

Charliespy ~ I had an early scan with Babybond and it was brilliant! You won't regret it! :)

Indigoviolet ~ how are you doing? :)

Deaks ~ neither of my boys have ever had comforters other than their teddy's in bed. I used to make the moses basket up with my t-shirt I sleep in so today when i saw the comforters in the shop i thought that might be a better idea for the baby :) how are your opk's looking? still getting darker?

Charlie i agree with rainbow, i wouldn't worry at this stage about the difference, So glad they saw baby and heartbeat!!! :)

I've ended up back at the doctors with bad eyes again, the swelling etc all went down, but for some reason its back again, And really sore! My doctor said i've got infections around my eyes and the natural oils in my skin are gone because of the burns to my eyes so i have to apply cream almost hourly and take anti biotics :( He also said long term my eyes are going to suffer from this reaction and i maynot be able to wear make up.
I know its not that big a deal but i feel quite gutted by this!

On another note we've decided to breed our black lad in her next season, which could be fun for me! not sure i'm happy about looking after lots of puppies :S

Kell your poor eyes! I'd be truely gutted about the make-up thing! I've got allot better as i've got older but I didn't used to be able to leave the house with-out some make up on! I really hope they heal up soon. Maybe you should research into some really mild/natural make-up products for sensitive skin. Katie Piper still wears make-up and she had acid thrown in her face (which really puts things into perspective for me and my hang ups!). So there must be some sensitive products out there.

Hello levy! I was wondering about all us original smogs the other day like mrs Pitt etc. So are you still broody? It took me 2.5 years to get pg!!!!! I wonder if I should have gone for tests sooner but never mind. Are you still at uni?

I am enjoying my pg? To be honest - no. The only one I enjoyed was ds1 until I got confined to hospital with serve pre-eclampsia. Everyone tells me not too, but I worry about things going wrong. Hence the two weekly visits to the midwife and six weekly growth scans. I was ok and it was fine with ds1 but a good friend had pe and baby at 26 weeks. She made it but not without massive issues. Bring on 30 weeks I say. I might relax then.

I'm glad all was well charlie, like the others said try not to worry about the small discrepancy in dates. Yay for the Babybond scan too!

Has anybody heard from Inglewood, wasn't she having her scan today too?

Everybody's pH will go up around ovulation and it's only the pH of your fertile cm (usually EWCM) that matters. The normal vaginal secretions you get for the rest of the month are designed to be at around 4.5 anyway - that's why Replens/Rephresh etc. which are designed for treating BV work by keeping pH at 4.5, because that's what the body should do naturally anyway.

Well, my scan and Consultant appts were changed yest to 3.30pm/3.50pm, why that's me just online! Scan was amazing!! One was asleep the other kicking me lots! They are about the same size which they are happy about and sac's are the same size. They couldn't tell us the gender, but the Consultant herself is scanning me in 2 wks and she says she'll have a good nosey about to look for the sex, she was so so nice!!! Will be 18wks then, she said boys are obvious at 18wks, girls not always, she said we might get a better look at 20wks! I have to be scanned every 2WKS!!! and see her every 4, unless I want to see her sooner. They will be born by C-section at 36wks-ish and I will get my date closer to the time.

Off to make tea (late) will pop on later. x

And that you'll know in 2-4 weeks their sex!! I also think that they just have to be girls!

Chocolate I also had leg warmers for my DS's for the same reason!

Scones went well they are soooooooooooooo filling! I made one batch and split it half savoury and half sweet. I used a denby mug which i'm sure is way bigger than an American 'cup' size so used two eggs in the end it made 16 pretty large scones!
I really like the cheese ones. DP said they didn't taste right. He hasn't been on the diet. To me they taste super yummy!
Haha but then i've been deprived of any nice savoury flavours.

Charlie and LMW (hope your ok as you haven't been on for a while, hope your just too busy decorating)
You both use/used the anion pads. Today is the first day i've used the panty liners and noticed some pink spotting when I wipe. I'm just wondering if this has anything to do with them as I'm 1 dpo and I never spot mid cycle.

Inglewood ~ yay for your update! so happy to hear your scan went well! i bet it was amazing to see your 2 little babies on the screen :D love the pictures and what a cute bump you've got :D so exciting! 2 weeks isn't long either, fx for pink beans!

pinkprincess85 ~ I remember you :D welcome back! when is your first attempt? how about rice cakes or baking yoghurt scones to eat as a snack if you're really hungry between meals? or strawberries/raspberries?

Lavenderlime ~ glad to hear the yoghurt scones turned out alright :) I loved them when i was on the diet and i keep meaning to bake some :)

Babymad ~ sorry to hear you're still suffering MS :( but yay for dating scan! that's come around quick!

threelittlemen, what timing did you use for your dd?

Hi Deaks my aim was to have a 2 day cut off and based on previous cycles I seemed to O around 2 days after +ve O test but the month I conceived I think I O'ed 24 hrs after positive O test giving me a one day cut off, one and half days max!! WE also attempted around O+16 - O+20 time, my boys had been conceived around O time with every other day or less baby dancing and DS3 was a 6 day cut off.

Hope this helps always happy to answer any questions

Charlie I also measured a couple days behind at my first scan and then at my dating scan they put changed my dates again meaning that I would have convceived before my smiley on the digital ovulation test so they cant be that amazingly accurate ?!

Ingelwood yay for possibly finding out the gender in two weeks very exciting and you bump seems tiny still, you def have two cuties in there!!

Thansk! :) Scarily it went from nothing to that in a week. Kept worrying as I didn't have one then boom....a bump!! Hope it stays neat, for a while at least!

Thanks threelittlemen! wow, a 6 day cut off for you ds3, thats amazing! Thanks for the info!

Im really in two minds about it, but then Im up for starting soon as you never know what might happen.......... I would just have to be very careful about my food choices away and try to keep sugar levels as low as possible. Cheese - think parmasan has low salt, there should be a UK thread stickied in this section of the forum. I just have a little parmasan each day.

I think Im destined to just have boys lol, my sway for next month is not going to plan! My son had impertigo last week and I had a cut on my hand which may now be infected or with impertigo! And if I need antibiotics then that will sway boys unless I control the PH and excess mucus it produces.

Chocolate are you taking acidiphilus (sp?) That's good for getting your stomach balanced after atibiotics or so I was told by the lady in H&B when I asked her where they were, maybe double the dose (I take two a day think you can take up to 4) or just start taking them if your not already. Or just eat loads of natural yoghurt!

I've roughly worked out the boys conception dates from their due dates on one of those online calculators. Then found out the phase of the moon on those years and one was conceived just in a NEW moon and one on the end of NEW moon or the start of the FULL moon?? So obviously doesn't mean much to me!

Gecon 3tbl spoons is the most you're allowed daily on IG I just do it by eye.

Acidiphilus sways pink too i'm only taking it for my say. But it's found in natural yoghurt so if you have to eat it anyway might as weel eat tons of it lol. Hope you don't need antibiotic. Do you have any anion pads? You can put them on cuts and stuff and they are ment to work as well as medicine. I burnt my thumb pretty bady on steam yesterday and stelpt with one of those pads on my thumb and it didn't scab up or anything and felt 95% better by the morning!! I burn really easily so that's amazing for me. I've never used them before yesterday but they're ment to be really good things like nappy rash sore backs etc.

Sunset pretty sure it's 3 just checked in my little swaying book with my notes from IG and it says 3. I tried to download the girl cookbook before IG went down but can't find it anywhere on my coputer files to double check. I probably don't eat as much a three though probably one-two of the really finely grated stuff. I'd say 100g pouch lasts me over a week. Is IG gone for good now?

Chocolate DS2 has a late Sept birthday but was ment to be early Oct he was 10 days early. He has a friend who is 2 weeks older than him and another who is 6 weeks older. So I know three boys with August/September birthdays.

Sunset I really hope I'm not affected by the moon....!FX Only time will tell :D
So do you think the combination of diet, sups, anion pads and rePHresh is more than enough to combat the moon not being on my side??

I really think diet is the key for me as my diet is so unhealthy now with the quantity and quality of food which is so far from where I was when I conceived my boys well mostly DS2. But i'm throwing everything at the wall and hoping something sticks with trying to get all 7 sway factors under wraps :D

Chocolate I've spent far too much time on here over the past few days!! My boys have been ill so been housebound. Swaying really has taken over life a teeny tiny bit!

Yeah mine has been off pre-school for a week so been in ALOT!! Going to take a walk through the woods though tomorrow for lots of negative ions! I have one of these: https://www.ionic-balance.com/buy-now.html for ions, on there there is info on how much the average environment produces in negative and positive ions. I also have a rock salt lamp now too, but I think fresh air is the key so lots of slow walks around ovulation time.

How long have you been dieting? I would have only been doing it for 3 weeks at first attempt but going hardcore and hope we get lucky first time! Im hoping the huge change will be enough when done very suddenly.

I take two a day with food if I can remember or just with milk. I can't see why you couldn't take it with asprin, it's a probiotic. I have to keep my tablets in the fridge and can't take them with hot drinks as the heat kills the good bacteria.

The anion pads are ment as sanitary pad or panty liners but they have a strip of negative ions on a green strip the middle of the pad so sway pink. I'm just wearing the panty liners daily. I got mine from E-bay. You can get them on Amazon too.

Lavenderlime ~ I have the IG cookbook downstairs, i'll have a look later at how much parmesan we're allowed a day :) i definitely think it's enough to counteract the moon yes! the most important thing is to do what you're already doing and up your -ions since full moon means there are more +ions in the air than during a new moon.

I started dieting and sups about 4 weeks ago but the first two weeks were a little half hearted. So I was on a diet but not strict IG IYSWIM so been doing it really properly with no cheats for 17 days (from the start of AF) so will have been on it exactly 6 weeks by my attempt time. I really hope to get a BFP first time so I can relax over the festive period with the diet. I think i'll be able to stick to it if no BFP but will make my life sooooooo much easier if I get a quick BFP.

Been a tired mess the last few days. DS1 has been causing me to get about 3 hours sleep a night! We have eliminated his day sleep and it went better last night... so fingers crossed...

Charlie you poor thing, it will be worth the sickness but you moan as much as you like we all know the feeling to some degree!

My af is due today, I'm sure it'll arrive but so far nothing, my lp is usually 12days so I guess another 2 days is a possibility?

I'm going to try ig diet as much as possible I think, does anyone have the breakdown of what's in each tier? Or know the link to find it?
I told dp I was buying lots of -ion bits, he doesn't understand why they make a difference! Said it sounds like a waste of money, so I told him if he wants a happy fiancée he best get use to the fact that we are buying things for our sway! He soon shut up lmao!

I'm waiting on Ysl calling me about my eyes, I'm sure they will compensate me some how I just don't know what they will do. I'd be happy to get my money back and maybe have a little
Extra to buy new sensitive skin makeup, my family keep telling me
To make a real fuss and go for more :S
I know it's cause me alot of pain and even now two weeks later I'm still suffering with infections but I feel guilty fussing!

Charliespy ~ I really feel for you.. it can't be easy being so poorly :( I hope it passes soon! ds2 has got conjunctivitis so he got given a cream to apply to his eyes twice a day.. should be interesting trying to give a 2 year old eye drops :/ hope your dr's appointment went well this morning too!!

Kell ~ IG is down unfortunately, but i'll look around on here for the info on the IG diet, otherwise i've got it all printed out in a folder. in my siggy there's a link to a shopping guide, all the foods listed on there is from the IG diet (apart from the girl friendly ice cream)
Fx you get some compensation, you definitely deserve it!

Chocolate ~ Enjoy your pampering! it's a lovely way to sway pink ;)

Hello ladies, just a quick one from me.

Hope you are all doing well. I've gone from one cold to another, don't think the diet is helping my immune system! DH has been away for several nights so we missed O but have about a 2 or 3 day cut off depending on when my temps rises. Unlikely to get pg with just this one attempt but you never know!

Lots of love:HH:

How awesome are they! Also love the legwarmer on that site, I have similar for DS2 for when his trousers keep falling down and I just take them off and put those on so he can cruise around without cold legs and socks off so he doesnt slip!

That must be sooooo cute!

Lavenderlime~ did you make the yogurt sconces from IG cookbook? You may have said I didn't read all the posts very carefully... I think they are fantastic. I make a few batches at a time. freeze them and pull one out at a time and they are still great. I add sweetner(equal) to the top with the nutmeg, great treat with skim milk.... they are huge too

Yes, I am ttc again, attempt coming up any minute!

Inglewood- brilliant pics, they are so cute!!

Is IG finished for good? did I miss something. I hardly go there bc I get so fed up with the F....in monkeys. That was the first place I learned about swaying. I've printed everything I could bc I felt like I had to get the info while I could get on the site!

They are Huge and actually tastey! I made some cheese and some cranberry ones I froze some of mine too. I normally reheat them in the microware and for a real treat that isn't a cheat one of the cranberry ones warm with Frank's diatbetic Icecream is like a propper dessert!

For UK girls stocking up on girl sway food Tilda's rice (the yummiest rice but but pricey as rice goes) is half price in Tesco.
And Ocean spray light 1l is 3 for £2 in Asda.

My eating habits are so strange now I have Brunch at 11-12ish (A scone, or homemade pancake and raspberries or pasta and cheese, or pasta and a little mayo and slices of cucumber) Dinner at 4-5pm (rice leaks and a little cheese for flavour or pasta again every day is becoming a bit zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz) ish and maybe something small of tea at about 7pm like natural yoghurt and raspberries or half a scone or the rest of my dinner if I couldn't finish it if i'm still hungry. milk, cranberry and peppermint tea inbetween.

In the past I've had smoothies but got sick of cleaning the smoothie maker every day.
boiled eggs which became uggghhh very quickly but one is really filling!
I also ate some strawberries before they went out of season.
Salt free rice cakes which are only nice if they are infact snack a jacks which we can't eat so went off them quickly.
Danish bread makes rubbish toast because it is infact mostly air :D and unsalted butter on toast is how I would imagine lard on toast to taste. Bleurggggh!

Deaks hope your having a nice time away with your friend and her little girl.

Pinga ~ what good news! you must be so relieved :D 3 weeks will fly by! :)

Inglewood ~ are you allowed medication or anything for your gastritis now when you're pregnant?

AFM i'm suffering with insomnia :S i wake up at 2am every night and i'm wide awake.. i was up between 2 and 4am last night :S and of course i'm absolutely shattered during the days.. has anyone else experienced this when pregnant? i've never in my life had problems with insomnia before.

I have been taking a milder form of my tabs, but the consultant says from 20wks I can take my usual meds again! Thank goodness!! The spasms in my oesphagus are bad this week.

I am having trouble some nights, getting back to sleep after a loo trip, but mostly after my nigtshifts, got only 4 hrs broken sleep today and just about to go back in!!!! Hope it ends soon and u get better rest.

Pinga great news about the bleeding, huge relief for you!

CROCHET!! I've been crocheting for 16 years now(started at 13yo) and although I do know how to knit as well, crocheting is faster, easier to fix, easier to start and stop, and you can make some really cute things:) Knitting is better for clothes like sweaters, pants, etc, but crochet is great for blankets, hats, booties... ILP I'm still here and so is indigo and maybe baby and lexy popped on yesterday, great to see you xx

Lavender lime my sway went something like this Strict diet for almost 6mths with one cheat a week in the 2ww so I would have a cheat week one and a cheat week 2 it was usually chocolate. I did keep one decaf tea a day until the week before O as I missed it so much!

I did supplements cal, mag, cran, vit c, folic acid, think thats it!

I used an ioniser always on in the bedroom, I used a usb ioniser at work and home, I bought plants never had plants in my house before, I opened the windows and spent more time outside

I wore rose quartz jewellry everyday

I used acijel rather than a douche

I aimed for a 2 day cut off and O+12 but ended up with I think one day cut off and O+20 ish

I lost weight

My DH did supps including liquiorice root and tried to do the diet as best as he could and he did really well for him!!

My ph dropped from 6ish to 4-4.5 and dh ph from 8 to 7

My ewcm also dried up so I figured what I was doing was working

I cant think of anything else if I have forgetten any of the swaying aspects let me know and I'll tell you whether I did it or not

Thank you so much TLMAC that looks like an amazing sway and it obviously was as it worked :D! Did your Dp abstain?

Chocolate I guess diabetic sweets would be ok but I'm sure i've read something about citric acid raising PH so I think you would have to read the ingredients on them to be sure as alot of sweets have that tart edge to them. If IG is still is back on you should ask Tamara. i'd love to know if you find out as I have the worst sweet tooth! I know that crystal light make sweets but don't think you can get them in the UK.

I think I read about the sweets on the low everything plan as a good way to get empty calories, will ask on that post tomorrow. Bit scared of going back on ig as the thoughts on this site sometimes contradicts ig's and don't want to feel unconfident in my plan .... But don't want to miss out on possible great info. I think they said a little gelatine is ok but Not lots, I'm mainly trying to eat just pasta, rice, parmasan leeks and mushrooms but also trying to avoid all meat without eating much veg or fruit - basically as low nutrient as possible. But tonight I had a be good curry as I just had to eat something, was all labelled green though, even salt and fat!

Sweets without geletin are ok (Tutti Fruttis, Skittles, Fox's Glacier Fruits) so long as you are still within your daily limits for calories - there isn't any protein, fat or sodium in them. It's a good way to get extra calories if you're struggling to get them up with very little else and no nutritional benefit. You musn't snack on them though because it'll keep your blood sugar levels elevated. I used to have a boiled sweet or two after my meal or a handful of tutti fruttis or Skittles for my third 'meal'.

Curry isn't the best choice because garlic and onions are best avoided - something in them increases testosterone - and of course if you're doing LE you'll be vegetarian anyway.

I'm confused though - I thought you were doing IG or are you just doing a combination?!

No/very little geletin on the Low Everything diet also. You may have read not to worry about the tiny amount in a pill or something along those lines.

No/very little geletin on the Low Everything diet also. You may have read not to worry about the tiny amount in a pill or something along those lines.

I think I got that Idea because looking at peoples food plans on the food thread and people on LE eat marshmallows and one lady was eating Sweddish fish everyday and I was like that's a bit ewe.... until it turned out they were sweets! But they are a chewy jelly type sweet in the shape of a fish. So reading this I thought It must not matter on that diet as that's allot of gelatine to be eating on a daily basis!!

chocolate
November 17th, 2011, 06:37 PM
Zanacal - thanks for info, basically I'm using ig principles of mainly eating pasta, rice and up to 3tbsp parmasan, but also bearing in mind the le plan as I do think small amounts of non ig stuff won't harm the sway. But I'm lazy so can't be bothered to prepare meals just for me that I won't enjoy anyway, so am just going hardcore from af with sticking to mainly rice or pasta to starve body of as many nutrients as poss. But at the moment I'm in the 2ww (didn't ttc) so have had a few naughty things like curry as I want to save the best diet till after af as I don't have much weight to loose so need to keep loosing the last bit for the ttc cycle. I also need to keep blood sugars low as have pcos so was hoping for fake sugar sweets. I actually had a full fat coke tonight as haven't had much of anything today but from af I will avoid all sugar.

Chocolate if you want fake sugar sweets then go for the diabetic ones. If you want empty calories then go for real sweets. You can't get many empty calories and eat fake sugar as it's low in calories hence it's wide use in diet products unlike real sugar.

Can I ask why you are doing a mixture of both diets? As they are very different and conflicting on their advice and the reasoning behind eating what you can eat. Do you not think it would be easier to stick to one or the other? Otherwise your not really doing either IFYSWIM. Obviously you can sway anyway you like. Or not at all. But just thought i'd mention it because any advice given may not be doing much good if it's not put into action with a specific plan.

Sunset I have a friend coming over who I haven't seen for a year on Saturday and off to London on Sunday to see family and go for a meal so looks like i'll have to have a ''stomach bug'' on Sunday! Oh Babymad what a cute little beanie you're cooking! :) I'm terrible with the nub theory unless it's really super obvious so I don't dare to have a guess, i've got everything crossed that it's your little princess :)

Lavenderlime, I guess its because I believe that its really just low nutrient that counts, I'm not actually going to do anything from le if I can help it, but if I were to be out somewhere and had to choose a meal, then ig would be hard but le have suggestions. Also ig includes meat where as I think as less meat as poss and as less veg and fruit as poss. Is the best sway. If I don't get pg 1st cycle on just rice and pasat then I will try some meals from the ig cookbook. But I'm away the weekend of ovulation so will have to choose girl friendly meals. From af I will try to just stick to the ig plan, but as low sugar as poss. And as low nutrient as poss.

Wow!! Go and eat something really boy friendly now lol, even though you didnt sway the thought of having to do it soonis enough to make anyone crave boy food :-)

I keep thinking that will happen to me this cycle, although used a condom at the end I do think about the pre-ejaculation theory lol

Its those sort of cycles that get the girls anyway, abstinence and not planned!
