Just checking in to see how everyone is doing.

Congratulations Dreaming!

Maple, I can't wait to see pictures of you girls.

Has anyone heard if aroundtheworld had her girls too?

I go to the doctor in a few hours and he will check to see if i am dilated yet. I'm hoping that there will be some progress. The last two appointments my cervix was still closed up :( I think I might start using EPO tonight if I haven't made any progress but the baby still seems like he is up really high so I'm not very hopeful that much is going on. I think this baby knows that we are not really ready yet. We still need to get furniture moved to various room, wash all the baby clothes and pick out a name for starters and this week all three of my boys have baseball tournaments so I don't really want to go before Sunday.

Good luck everyone, I can't wait to start seeing some more babies being born.

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing fine. Just wanted to update...our little bundle of joy has finally arrived, a little earlier than expected...Our baby boy was born on Friday 31st May 2013, we are so blessed :) He's doing fine and I'm so completely in love with him. Just can't take my arms and eyes from him. Delivery was much easier than with my first son and it took him only a few minutes to come into this world and meet mum and dad.

I hope you all girls have a wonderful birth experience and you get to hold your little angels in your arms soon...it's such a bliss to be holding our little and so much loved babies. Good luck to everyone and enjoy the precious moments when your babies arrive :)

Congrats!!! Glad all went well :)

Try Raspberry leaf tea to soften your cervix....I think it really helped mine, doctor said it was super thin.

Welp 9 days and counting. Today marks the date (in my pregnancy not his actual birthday) of my son. I was 38 + 5 when my water broke with him. I am feeling a little crampy but nothing indicating this little one is arriving anytime soon, lol. I would LOVE for her to come this week because the daycare is closed next week which means we will have to arrange for someone to watch my son for the three days that I am in the hospital. I am hoping she comes Thursday!

How is everyone else hanging in there? LOVE seeing the newest additions to the boards. Makes me really want to have my little girl soon :XX::cheer:

P4P, how're you feeling hun? Still fighting a cold? I sure am. I've just started a naturopathic remedy, google "Cold Sock Treatment". Finding the right socks was tricky but I think it's actually doing me some good. Thought it might be worth mentioning to you. Hope you're much better!

Aw huge congrats dreaming Daniel is lovely, glad everything went well.

mommyof3 don't get disheartened about lack of progress - my little one is still floating well above my pelvis according to the midwife and i am further along than you, she said they often cannot drop until you are in labor with subsequent babies

Hey Hun! Yes still fighting the cold but it is not as bad as last week. I am actually feeling pretty good but just a little congested in the am. I think it will be still worth-wile to see what the "Cold Sock Treatment" is all about. Thanks for the tip. I can't believe we have a week left! So excited for us. Can't wait to see your beautiful little girl Jadis.

How come everyone around here seems to get their babies early? All my babies have been late, but then i suppose i am never on time for anything else normally however hard i try. I keep thinking maybe i should pack a hospital bag but little miss doesn't seem to even getting ready to shift anywhere and it could be another month before i meet her - everything will need washing again in that time.

For the mommies due to pop soon who are getting your little girls, how much stuff for the baby are you taking to the hospital with you? I took way too much stuff with my first son, he barely wore any of it and we are only in one night (2 days), with my other two boys i just took my favorite things for them to wear to come home in and whilst we were there but then that was easy as they have all pretty much looked alike and been similar sizes so suited the same things. With my little lady i know she will be photo'd a lot (like the boys were) in the first few days and i want her looking lovely to meet her public (even if her mama will look a state) but i have no idea what to take or what she'll look like or anything and she already has sooooo much stuff - and are you (dare i say it) taking anything for a little boy.....just in case?!?

Mrs. P, I have gone late with all 5 of mine!! 1-5 days.

I did want to answer your question about what to take to the hospital. I did take quite a bit of stuff thinking we would take a lot of pictures, and didn't use much of it but I really liked being able to choose what to put her in. I was actually not very ambitious about dressing her at first...much less than I thought I would be...so I used mostly my casual clothes and none of the prettier things. She pooed on herself a couple times so I was glad I had brought as much as I had and also that I hadn't used any of the fancy things (newborn baby poo!!! ugh). We also came home after only a short time in the hospital THANK HEAVENS so I didn't get to use as many clothes as I thought I would. But if we had had to stay for 3 days like we had to with our 3rd son (it was Easter and they wouldn't let us out!!!!), I would have used up all my outfits or nearly so. So I think you should take more than you need just so you have the option if you are in the hospital for awhile.

I did not bring any boy clothes with me. That whole conception and pregnancy was a leap of faith and I felt like to take a boy outfit would be somehow turning my back on the leap of faith that brought me there! ;)

I was 2 weeks late with DS1! I wonder if I didn't have a scheduled section if this one would have been late too hehe. I'm sure she will be making her entrance soon :)
For Hudson, I brought a few sleepers and 1 going home outfit. I knew we'd be in the hospital from Wednesday morning - Friday morning at the least for my section so I wanted to have enough and I definitely used them all lol DH would have had to run home if we had to stay longer! I didn't bring any nice outfits - I find dressing a newborn is sooo difficult so I liked to keep it easy and just keep him in nice sleepers :)

I have never brought a lot for my babies to the hospital because it always seemed like I would put them in something and then the nurses would change him when they took him out of the room and then I would never get the clothes back. I lost several onesies and recieving blankets with my first because of this so I just brought one boy and one girl outfit to take the baby home in and a couple of gender neutral sleepers just in case they got their clothes dirty (we didnt know what we were having so I didnt have a lot of boy stuff ready).

This time I am only packing clothes for a boy and I will probably bring a going home outfit and a couple of onesies that a friend of mine tie dyed. I am not taking anything for a girl because I am afraid that even going to purchase a girl outfit or seeing it in my bag will bring up the feelings of GD that I am really trying (and still struggling some days) to fight. If by some miracle this baby ends up being a girl I will have my mom pick up an outfit to bring her home in, but the ultrasound was pretty clear so I'm sure it wont be a problem.

Mrs. P I think my little miss is going to be stubborn, lol. I really feel like I am going to pop as I am stretched to the max (I know there is always more stretching possible) but WOW! I can't go anywhere these days without getting one comment at the least about how big I look.

As far as the hospital bag...I am an over packer. Always have been. So for the baby bag I packed 3 gowns, 2 going home outfits, 1 swaddling blanket, hats, hand mittens, and socks. This was PURELY at the advice of my friend who is older but has had 3 kids. I didn't pack a bag for my son and we managed fine. I am sure she will have lots of pictures taken so like you I want her to look all dolled up. Plus, I really don't know how big she is going to be so I packed the gowns because they fit a range of sizes and two going home outfits (one newborn and one 0-3) just in case she is on the bigger side which I have a feeling she will be.

And no I won't be taking anything for a boy. It has been confirmed way too many times that she is a girl (5 times at least) so I am not the least bit worried that she will come out a he.

thanks girls i'll go with a couple of things in each size then (i didn't think about her not fitting things - doh!..... or the poo either, thanks Atomic, i'm sure that would look lovely on the pretty white dress i brought her!)

Funnily enough p4p i thought the same thing about this little one (i've had 4 u/s's and a my cvs test) but i still can't shake the feeling that i am due a little boy, i keep dreaming about him and can see his face as clear as day and had even decided if he was a boy we'd call him Daniel (then i logged on here and saw dreaming's update - seems even like fate!), its weird though cause it feels like Izzy is already a part of our family, we all talk about her and everything - seems more like i'd have an extra one hiding (unlikely i know) than she'd be a boy - i'm going crazy i know!!!

Well I keep getting asked if I'm having twins so it is interesting that you said that about an extra one hiding. Sometimes we just dream what our minds think either consciously or sub consciously. You may be fearing or doubting the fact that you are having a girl and maybe that's why you keep dreaming of a boy. I haven't dreamed of a girl one time this whole pregnancy. And when I was pregnant with my son I only dreamed of girls, lol. Go figure! I'm sure we both have our little girls in there but hey if you feel the need to sneak a boy outfit in the bag just to be on the safe side then there is nothing wrong with that either.

Congrats Dreaming - Daniel is gorgeous.

update on me - I had my scan and baby is above average but not by much - apart from its tummy which is well above the end of the scale so will be re checked again in 2 weeks time so i may push head and shoulders out eaily and get stuck at baby's gut!! ha ha

Mr P - your little girl will look super cute in anything im sure - just take the essentials and you can alway leave other favourite outfits out at home and ak hubby to bring the in if your not happy with what you packed.

Good luck to everyone due soon - I still have 9 weeks .... though lucky in one sense i guess as Im still working and need to do so now until my due date as need to raise 4 thousand pound to pay for my dads funeral which is next Friday... The stress of getting the bill alone nearly sent me into labour - these funeral directors really shouldnt be able to take advantage of peoples grief like this - that 4k is just the very most basic funeral. Anyway enough waaffling from me .... cant wait to see more pics of all our gorgeous bundles. Im still 90% sure ours is a boy

I completely agree! It's stressful enough to have a loved one pass. I had contractions and was on bedrest for three weeks after my mom passed. Make some time for yourself to put your feet up and rest.

Thanks ladies Im making sure I rest as much as possible. the baby i look after sleeps 10-11.30 so that 90 mins is spent doing sit down activities with teh others like jigaw, board games, threading, colouring, painting, arts and craft etc so i get to sit for a nice period and then i have a bath every night and soak and relax for 30 mins while hubby deals with the boys bedtime routine so its actually not too bad and work is keeping my mind off the funeral and things and im dealing with it much better than i expected - maybe because my body knows i need to and also because my husband has been so amazing that I have all the love and support I need to get through it all. Am just so happy that in 9 weeks time we have something good to look forward to.

Oh no mum to 3 boys, I'm so sorry to hear about your dad. These funeral director's make me sick profiting off people's grief :( I hope you are taking good care of yourself and holding up ok.

My mum is going into hosp tomorrow for a bowel resection so I've been really worried and stressed about her. I can sympathise how you must be feeling. Send me an instant message if you need someone to talk to Hun.

My baby is also measuring big. Two weeks over in stomach and head but normal size femur. Hopefully it doesn't mean baby will be too big though as i've heard ultrasounds aren't always accurate. X

Pearl327
June 13th, 2013, 02:02 PM
Hi Jadis. I think you should start with 1 cup and build up to 4 cups per day. I have been drinking it since 20 weeks at 1 cup and over the weeks I increased to 4 cups which I am on now for the last month but you will need to fast track it at this stage. I make it into an ice tea with the juice of a lemon or orange as I find it is much nicer cold.

Hi ladies,

Sorry for the delay!
Poppy Petal 5lb 6oz and Olive Jessica 4lb 3oz were born on 11/06/13. V birth went so well, hardly any pushing needed.
They are in NICU as they can't maintain their temps and have some growing to do. I came home from Hosp without them yesterday : ( That was really hard.
They are totally gorgeous and I will post pics soon.
Now I have a busy time visiting the hospital daily for a couple of weeks!

Congratulations on your babies!!

TMI alert- I just went to the bathroom and when I wiped there was a light streak of blood. I know it is normal to have a little bleeding after an exam but I haven't had one since Tuesday morning. Is light bleeding considered a bloody show?? I never had this with my others so I wasn't sure if I should be worried if this is just part of the normal process. It wasn't thick like a mucus plug so that is what is confusing me.

Oh cvd hudson is soooooo lovely and the pics are adorable - all the new born photos i've seen in this country and more traditional but i so love that style, especially the top pic with the little nest thing!

Huge congratulations on the twins Maple, i'm glad the birth went well, can't believe you birthed twins naturally - really hope they are home with you all soon where they belong. Hope your boys and loving having little sisters too!

Mommyof3boys i had bleeding with my ds3 after a stretch and sweep, it gave me odd contractions but the bleeding went from a little when i wiped to light period type flow - keep an eye on it - we went into the hospital and they said it was a bloody show but it wasn't (i'd lost my plug with the others and it was nothing like that), it got worse over a couple of days but they kept dismissing me, when someone checked again we ended up being high risk - everything was fine, but don't ignore it if it continues as it needs monitoring to see where its coming from x ps you don't have a low lying placenta do you - if so you need to get it checked to ensure its not coming from there

Cvd I love the pictures of Hudson! He is so squishy and adorable! How is he feeding and everything?

Maple what sweet little girls and applause to having them vaginally! That is so inspiring and amazing! I know it must be difficult to have to go home without them but soon you will all be together. Are they letting you do any kangaroo care?

Jadis I agree and I would fast track the RRL tea. I think it will help. I wish I had done it but at this point I am not bothering with it. Let me know if you felt it helped.

Afm: as of yesterday I was a little over 1 cm dilated but still not effaced. Also baby is posterior. Estimated to be about 8 lbs. I am trying to sit on my birthing ball as much as possible to try to turn her around. If I make it to my doctor appointment next Friday we will talk about induction

Thanks Praying! And he's doing great - he's growing so fast, feeding great. We go to the doctor this Thursday and I'm so anxious to hear how much he weighs. He is getting SO chubby, I love it! He's been absolutely amazing so far - he sleeps through the night other then when he's up to nurse but a quick 5 min nurse and diaper change and he's back to sleep. It's been wonderful. We've had to introduce a soother here and there though (he found his thumb and I'd way rather him use a soother.. can't take a thumb away ;) lol).

That's awesome to hear you have dilated a bit - I hope Joelle is here soon!! How are you bearing the heat in Florida? It's been pretty hot up here lately so I can't even imagine the weather there. Is your son excited to meet his sister?

Bring on the babies!

CVD- my ds3 is a thumb sucker. I would do everything you can to avoid it. We tried every kind of pacifier we could find and he wouldn't take any of them even when he was a tiny infant. He still sucks his thumb and he is 6 1/2 and we've tried everything we can think of to get him to stop.

That sounds really stressful. So sorry you are having a hard time. Big hugs x

Morning ladies - no more babies yet - whos next ? I keep checking in to see new pictures as Its going to be such a rough week this week that i need cheering up ... fathers day was rubbish - i tried to make it special for James but ended u a hormonal emotional wreck thinking of my dad and then its his birthday wednesdaya and funeral Friday so reckon by the weekend Ill have no tears left !!

Hopefully have my home visit today though to talk about my homebirth ... fingers crossed !! Will let you know how it goes but cant see why she will say no considering the house is in a million times better state of repair than it was with my last homebirth when we didnt even have running water !!

So glad to hear that cvd! Hey chubby is good...it means they are eating as they should and getting all that nutrition from (what my best friend calls) the boobie juice  And way to go Hudson for sleeping through the night already! Ehh don't worry about the soother, it is better than trying to take the thumb away. They eventually ditch the soothers. I hope Joelle is here soon too. She keeps playing games with me Ha-Ha. Last night had some pretty bad menstrual type pains/contractions and I thought this was it but alas they have fizzled out. The heat is brutal here cvd...so miserable!

One last dream is right around then with you lot too, so hopefully some more little people will drop by soon.

I had some weird period type pains last night to, think little lady may have dropped, it kept me from sleeping and kept making me feel like i needed the loo all night - all mine have been late so any hopes of an early labor for me aren't very likely but i can barely walk today so am really hoping i'm not weeks off still!

Mum sorry your having a rough week hunny, make sure you look after yourself and that little bump, with all those beautiful boys around too i hope your getting plenty of love and cuddles (even if it was James' day).

Yep, I'm due on the 19th and I'm chugging my raspberry leaf tea and forcing myself to go for walks. I actually lost a few fragments of my mucus plug 2 days ago, but nothing more since then. Still, I hope I meet our Maggie this week. I've just totalled up what I've spent on decorating her nursery and I'm gasping for air! I don't think I'll tell my DH how much money I've blown on making her room cute. $825!!! What he doesn't know, can't hurt him right?

Mum, I'm sorry to hear that you're having such a rough time. I'm really thinking of you this week, hang in there!

Jadis no worries about the money. We have a saying which is not meant to be morbid at all but we say "you can't take it [money] with you". So are you happy with how everything turned out with the nursery? I'm sure it is beautiful and Maggie is worth every penny of it!

So I have decided to go to the chiro tomorrow for an adjustment in hopes that Joelle will turn from posterior to anterior and maybe it will even jump start my labor. I also have a few methods of my own to see if I can get her to turn.

In other baby related news...DH and I DTD on Saturday for his Father's Day present  I was pretty uncomfortable after but nothing came of it. I did notice on Sunday morning I had some (TMI WARNING) blood streaked mucus. Maybe some of my plug? I have been having it since but I am totally not sure since I lost my whole plug with my son after my water broke.

I like the way you think, P4P! LOL! You're so right-I've waited awhile to be able to decorate a baby girls nursery, I've enjoyed every second of it and I love that space. Decorating is my passion, so it's hard to hold myself back! Still, I think we'd better not eat out for a couple of weeks :) We've been renovating our ensuite bathroom too, so that was another massive wad of cash. eeeeeek!! You're so right though, we can't take it with us. Can't wait to see who makes her debut next, Joelle or Maggie???? I'll be stalking the board!

Congratulations to everyone who has had their baby or is due to soon. I am board crashing to remind you about flathead before everything gets manic and covered in baby poo for you:)

Check that your baby can can turn its head both directions. If not (s)he may have torticullus which restricts movement and can be easily treated with physio.

For all babies - Make sure your baby sleeps on different sides of his / her head, don't leave them in car seats or bouncy chairs too long and make sure they get plenty if tummy time.

Nobody told me the above and my poor DS1 had torticullus that lead to severe flathead on one side, distorted ears, eyes and jaw on one side. Luckily we were able to solve the problem with physio, cranial sacral therapy, osteopaths and a cranial helmet but it was a long and upsetting 9 months that I would love to help you avoid.

I am not trying to bum you out at an exciting time I just really want you all to have the info to give your babies the best start you can. Different countries give different amounts if advice so forgive me if you all know this already.

Enjoy your lovely babies:)

well just as i was beginning to get excited that my little lady is on her way, my middle son has come from school with chicken pox - grrrr!!!!!

Ds1 has caught it before, ds3 has never had it - like most things whilst its fine for little people generally and quite mild, its dangerous for newly pregnant women and new born babies! Looks like i'll be trying to keep my legs crossed for as long as possible although no idea what we will do as ds3 is bound to catch and its a 2-3 week incubation period - there is no way i'll be that late and a newborn with chicken pox sounds really scary - why is nothing ever straight forward

Mommyof3boys
June 19th, 2013, 05:06 PM
My ds2 got the chicken pox when he was just a couple of months old. He ended up doing just fine. It actually ended up being pretty mild because he was too young to actually scratch.

Mrs_P
June 19th, 2013, 05:47 PM
i've been looking on line most of the night, some people are saying its mild providing the mom is immune and breast feeding, some are saying it can be fatal if its caught properly and really dangerous for a newborn keep them well apart, so i have no idea what to think -

hoping ds3 comes out in spots over the next couple of days (first and only time i reckon i have/will ever hoped one of them catches something) so both boys are through the worst before she arrives - at least that way i can keep the apart if its only for a short time

Justjessica
June 19th, 2013, 06:09 PM
Congrats P4P that's brilliant news!!!

Oh no Mrs P. That's worrying. I had shingles when DS1 was a few months old and you can catch chicken pox from shingles but he never got it and the dr said that the immunity can be passed through the breast milk. It can't be easy though for you having ill kids and then a baby. Hope it goes away quickly for you and the baby doesn't get it.

Thanks for the congrats ladies! I tell you it has surely been a whirlwind. I was waiting and waiting and then...boom! I actually just had mild cramps and some pink spotting so I called my mom who has had 3 kids (lol) and she said yep your body is going into labor. I didn't know because my water broke with my son but I was induced with him.

So went in to the doc for a NST and midwife says "we'll u are smiling through the contractions so you probably aren't in labor yet". She checks me and I'm 4 cm 90% effaced and baby was at -2. She goes "well you bought the magic ticket! Go straight to L&D! Do not pass Go! Do not collect $200! Do not stop at McDonalds" lol.

I progressed fast but then stalled at 7 cm like I did with my son. We were trying to do nipple stim but my parents kept coming in, lol. Ended up on pitocin and was ready to push at 7. Pushed for 5 or 10 minutes and she was out! Hurt like hello!!! Lol!

P4P, well done love. Hope you're recovering well and being well taken care of by friends & family. Rest up and take good care.

Mrs. P-What a bummer! That's terrible timing to have sick kids in the house and I don't blame you for being worried about babe. Hopefully it passes quickly, nursing always helps with a baby's immunity. Try not to panic, best wishes.

AFM, I just found out that my primary midwife is off-call until Sunday morning and I'm not crazy about my secondary midwife. So I'm laying off the Raspberry Leaf tea, I'm steering clear of spicy foods and I'm clenching my legs together. Wish me luck! Hopefully Maggie can sense what I'm feeling and she'll just stay put a bit longer.

Wowsas, Onelastdream! That sweet lad was in a rush to get to you, eh? Congratulations! Hope my labour is just like yours :) Have you named that lovely boy yet? I'm 3 days past my due date now, would love my baby to get moving and vacate my womb.

Hope Bama Belle is well, can't wait to see a pic!

love you lucky women that don't feel anything at a 4 lol I have always had to work hard to get to that 4 lol. stalling can be normal and your body taking a break, usually walking around or switching postions can help. glad everything went well.

Yeah I wanted to but had the IV in and straps everywhere which I was trying to avoid :-/ oh well...I'm happy all in all

So lovely to see all these new babies. Love reading through this post. I've been feeling constantly damp down there and have to constantly wear a panty liner...sorry if tmi. Went into hospital last night to get checked as thought it may be my waters slowly leaking, but no, apparently it's all now normal part of pregnancy, increased cm. Lucky me. Lol. Didn't get it this much with my boys though! Maybe it's because this babe is a girl? Really looking forward to meeting her but you can't rush perfection and I know she needs more time before she is ready.

Anyone else over-due yet? I'm 4 days late and the constant text messages from friends and family are really starting to irritate me. I feel like texting back to each one of them "No, nothing yet. Now piss off." I've been chugging RRL tea, tonight I'm going to go for a long walk and eat something spicy. Maybe thai food. Any other tips? I'm starting to get frustrated and she's not even that late!

Jadis I probably would be the same as you if I was 4 days over cos DD was on time. I assume you are trying all the normal things, EPO, sex, walks, fresh pineapple, bouncing on the birth ball. Another food recipe which I took off the Internet to try next week is the eggplant/Aubergine parmigiana from scalini's it is one of my fav dishes anyway so I am going to make it in their labour inducing way just for fun. Also with DD I had reflexology a few hrs before I went into labour. I am having it regular this pregnancy too but not to stimulate any labour points yet.

Violet I really hear you on the marked increase in cm lately.

Also my Braxton hicks have started feeling uncomfortable this week. I have never felt them before in this pregnancy or my last one so I am hoping it is a sign that my body is gearing up properly this time round.

Thanks Pearl. Just one question- what does EPO mean?

Sorry EPO is evening primrose oil it contains the oils that your body turns into prostaglandins and helps your cervix to soften. I am taking it because I have some left over from my boy sway. I won't know if it is working until the 3rd July as I won't have an internal exam until then

Emma is here! :celebrate: She was born on the 21st at 8:08am. She was 7lbs 9oz and 18 1/2" long. She is just beautiful!:awe: C-section went great. I am feeling pretty good. Recovery has been easier this time. We were planning to go home from the hospital today but Emma gave us quite a scare yesterday with her breathing, all is well though. Now she is jaundice and has to be on the light until tomorrow. I will post a pic soon.

i had a sweep at 40 + 1 day by midwife when i was 1cm - can they not do anything like that for you? i had already had 2 nights of starting stopping contractions so they said they would do it.

his name is Noah Bradley Sol Gear. this is made up of the middle names of his brothers - its like he is a little part of them all!!!!

hope your bubba comes very soon - its such a horrible wait xx

Onelastdream, that's a beautiful name! What a sweet tribute to his brothers :) I had a mild sweep done on the 19th, but it obviously wasn't aggressive enough. I'll see my midwife again this week and I'll be asking for another sweep. Hope it does the trick, it's super hot here and I just want to move on from pregnancy and meet our newest baby.

Pearl-thanks, I don't have any EPO :( I'm going to keep up with those other suggestions though.

I'm not even over due yet and I'm sick of my family asking too. My mom keeps asking "do you feel like having a baby today". Seriously if this baby could just be born when I feel like it I would have had it already. Then it is followed by dont have it Monday or Friday because ....... And make sure you call as soon as you go into labor. Yeah right if I'm in labor the first thing I'm going to do is call you so you can ask me 100 questions and beat me to the hospital before I get the chance to tell the nurses to keep you all out of my room until an hour or so after the baby is born because the last time we were bombarded before the doctor even left the room and hadn't even had the chance to hold the baby.

I think the best thing is when people say 'haven't you had the baby yet?' - I was asked that on the day before I had Noah and I wanted to say 'oh yes, that's why I am still resembling an over stuffed hippo and I thought I'd just leave him at home on his own!!!' Obviously I just smiled sweetly and said not yet, hopefully soon!!!! My mum kept calling and asking when I thought it would be lol! I was obviously adopted and she never experienced child birth herself!!!! God I sound awful but I do feel for you guys still waiting. My mil neighbour asked me what I had and then said oh god no, not another boy. Who does she think she is? I am actually ok gd wise at the moment because I'm so in love but that could have sent me over the edge. Good luck to all the births coming up xxx

I guess I'm having a baby today. My doctor did a nst and I was contracting regularly and the heart rate wasn't exactly what he wanted so he sent me over to L&D I'm having contractions very 2 to 3 min so it will be today.

My family is driving me CRAZY already. I told them they were going to send me over but that I didn't have to rush so it would be awhile. They got here before us and are driving me nuts already.

Best wishes mommyof3! You need a gatekeeper at the delivery room door to keep your family out of your hair until you're ready for them.

Onelastdream, I can't even believe that your mil's neighbour said that. People are just so insensitive! I was out for lunch with my 2 boys today and the cashier asked if I knew what I was having. I said 'it's a girl' and she said 'Oh, thank heavens. Then congratulations to you!'. So what the hell would she have said if I'd said it was a boy?? 'My sympathies'???? Some people just say whatever they want without thinking first.

Some old lady at the grocery store came up to me this week, pointed out the one physical flaw I am most insecure and self-conscious about and said she felt sorry for me because of it. I told her how frigging awesome it feels to have it pointed out by strangers. I've decided that when I reach a certain age, I'm tossing out my filter and I'm just going to let my mouth run off with itself. My kids will be horrified but I'll be having a ball!

We had our baby boy. I got to the hospital at 12:15 and they broke my water a little after 1 and started pitocin a little after 2 and he was born at 5:12 after pushing for 3 contractions. He weighs 8lb 1oz and is 20 inches long so he is actually our smallest baby which really surprised me I really thought he was going to be bigger. We may actually get to use some newborn diapers after all. We both doing really well and he is doing a great job nursing. I will get out my laptop in a while and try to post a picture.

Huge congrats mommyof3, bamabelle and onelastdream on the arrival of your little bundles - all the babies are arriving together!

I'm hoping my little lady stops stuck for a while yet but its seeming less and less likely. I've been having period type pains on and off for a couple of days and irregular contractions for the last 2 hours - typical really i never had anything a head of time with the boys when i wanted them out - it feels like if i sneeze too hard at the moment she will be on the floor (although that could just be the SPD). My little man has been really miserable today to so reckon he is probably just about to come down with the chicken pox.

mummy23 i'm really sorry things aren't getting any better for you hunny, have been thinking about you lots. I'm sorry your mom is rough on top of everything else, i hope she is feeling better soon. Good luck Jadis i hope things keep going and go well for you. No news from us - all mine have gone now - which is great - i've waited nine years for her i can wait another 9 days easily and it will be so much better for her to join our family when everything has settled down a bit.

Ds2 is almost over his spots (day 9 now) - mostly scabbed now and he's back to causing trouble and being bored - yeah!!!, BUT ds3 is still grumpy and quite teary but still no signs of spots, not one measly one - i really feel like getting a pen and drawing him on a few see if i can encourage them out - its going to happen so the sooner the better with labor around the corner - i really hope i'm not in labor whilst he's feeling really rough. Hey-ho my mom keeps telling me whatever will be will be and i suppose she's right - i was just so looking forward to the birth and finally getting my little girl

Oh, Mrs. P-I wish I was! My labour has started and stalled out twice now. Contracted for 6 hours 2 days ago and 4 hours yesterday only to have them start spacing out and getting weaker. I've hardly slept a wink and I'm unbelievably frustrated. I've had 2 stretch and sweeps and acupuncture this week! My midwives say I'm at a solid 3cm and 70% effaced, they're hoping that all the contractions I've had over the past few days aren't for nothing. Hopefully the contractions are changing my cervix and may help my actual labour be shorter. I hope they're right! Regardless, I'm being induced first thing tomorrow morning. My midwife will come to my house and break my waters for me. I'll update soon, hopefully. Thanks for thinking of me.

Yes, I'm very lucky here. I'm lucky to even have a midwife! It's very tricky to get a midwife in my region. You have to call them the second you have a positive pregnancy test, if you want any chance of getting in. Plenty of women who would've preferred a midwife end up with an OB/GYN and the model of care is quite different. I LOVE my midwives and am so intensely grateful.

Oh hunny sounds like your having a bit of a rough time of it - i had that sort of labor with ds3, i had a sweep and some pretty good contractions from that, then an internal and more contractions. In the end i think it was down to the sweep and my body just wasn't ready to start labor. Did they move your dates, i updated the other thread and noticed you were due 25th to begin with (unless i got it wrong then), that was what happened with my third, they move my dates forward 5 days so he was only really a day or two late when he arrived, the sweep would have been before my due date.

I suppose its all irrelevant now as at least they are starting you tomorrow so you will have your little girl in your arms before you know it.

I have no idea what mine is up to, i have been loosing my plug all day but nothing else - no idea if thats a sign of labor starting or not - am hoping babe stays put until next week not only due to my chicken pox drama but my mil has gone away for the weekend and she's mean't to watch the boys!

No not yet but its day 11 since ds2's started so should be any day now :worry:. My eldest said to me the other day, mum why do you want him to get sick? I felt so bad and guilty - of course i don't want him to get sick and there is always a worry of complications it was just too late to avoid by the time i knew ds2 had caught it

Hi everyone! Well, she's arrived! Margot Elizabeth born June 28th at 2:03pm weighing 7lb 10oz. My midwives suspect that my original due date of June 25th was actually correct, my girl didn't appear over-cooked at all. Sometimes those dating scans can be wrong, it seems. My lovely midwife broke my water at 11:20am and Maggie fired out at 2:03. My midwife didn't even have time to get her gloves on to catch her and my other midwife didn't arrive on time! She walked in 20 minutes after the fact, and looked rather shocked to see me holding a baby. I feel surprisingly well, I've spent the night just snuggling her and falling deeper and deeper in love with her. I'm typing this as she snoozes peacefully beside me. Will post a pic soon, I hope. Last time I tried to post a pic here, it didn't work :(

Mrs. P-I hope your DS has had his spots now! How stressful for you.

Babycakes-I hope your girl hangs in there long enough to put the court date behind you, she sounds just about baked.

i can't believe i'm saying this but i have a DAUGHTER!!!!!!!!

My little lady made her rather eventful appearance into the world yesterday morning (01/07 at 1:45 am). She is absolutely beautiful and looks just like a dainty version of her brothers which i was not expecting. I will post her birth story in a minute, i just can't ,believe she is here and mine it feels like a dream.

We were discharged this afternoon as they kept us in overnight and have been allowed home although she is not allowed anywhere her little brother for a while so i have to keep changing my clothes and having a wash every time i have touched him but at least we are together - will just have a rough few weeks now worrying in case she gets ill; i'm so scared i'm going to loose my little girl now i'm so in love with her but there is nothing i can do now except be careful and pray.

On the nice side though she has met two of her brothers and they are so in love with her, i can't wait til we can all be a family and have them all together in the same room for cuddles. In the meantime i intend to make the most of my lovely little girl and her newborness i'd forgotten just how tiny they are and the way they smell; i truly do feel so blessed that i have gotten to be a mom to all 4 of my special children.

I will post a pic in a day or so but we have only just got home now and things are a bit up in the air with the all the living arrangements. to all those still waiting, i know the waits hard and i hope it won't be for long but they are well worth it and hopefully we will see lots of lovely little ones arriving soon x

Hi everyone!

Samuel Elijah was born at 1.23am today weighing 8lb. He is beautiful and I am totally in love with him.

I phoned the midwife around midnight to say I thought my waters might have gone in a trickle but I wasn't sure and wasn't having contractions yet just period pains. Then literally as soon as i hung up i started with full blown contractions. After about 30 mins the midwife arrived and said my waters were intact but I was 8cm dilated. Sam was born not long after at home. It really cheered me up that they said they would note my name as somebody not to be messed with lol!

Pearl327
July 5th, 2013, 05:20 AM
Nothing is happening with me yet. The head is so low that any lower and baby will be out. My doc and reflexologist both think that I will go in the next couple of days. So on time again (hopefully). I am very mildly crampy like a day or two before AF comes and I lost my plug earlier this week.

So I just have to relax and wait for things to happen

My little man arrived into the world at 2:30pm today. Unfortunately I didn't get my VBAC as once again my cervix failed to dilate past 2cm after spontaneous labour and spontaneous rupture of the membranes and having good strong regular contractions for 24 hrs. But I had a good Caesarian experience and I am so in love with my little prince John. I will post some pics tomorrow. Right now I need to catch up on sleep.

I hope your LO makes an earlier apperance than his/her siblings! I know you probably dont have too much hope w that though.

I have no clue what to expect. My first was 2 weeks "overdue" and my second was 2 weeks "early". My overdue baby was due August 23rd, 2010 and didn't arrive until Sept 4th. ...really hoping that just because im due around the same time (Aug. 31st) doesn't mean this will be an overdue one LOL. being so far gone in the hottest month of the years sucks! Hope both of our babies come a little early.

Nama your girls are divine.
Just under 6 weeks for me. I've had a 7 day early, a 10 day early and a due date baby. Its cold here in Australia, so I'm touching wood that I don't pick up anything...at all. Looking forward to meeting our final edition, although I'm still hoping he turns really soon otherwise he'll be coming out bum first :-)

I have no objection to this!

I wish i could take something for the pain!!!

I have no clue what to expect this time being that DS1 was 2 weeks late and DS2 was 2 weeks early.

All i do know is that sometime between August 10th and September 15th there should def be a baby...oh my, can't believe it's so close!
