Hi sweetpea, worry you're feeling so tired, I'm complaining every minute with tiredeness with one baby, let alone you, with TWINS :) Glad to hear your little ones are fine. It must be so exciting to see two babies on the screen :) So happy your spotting is not a problem. Usually it's nothing bad, but we still are so worried to see bleeding during pregnancy even if it's only a little.
Thanks, dreaming :) I was so heartbroken over seeing that spotting yesterday morning, I thought for sure I was losing one of them. :( I prayed so hard that everything would be okay, and thankfully, it was. Early pregnancy is so nerve-wracking! And yep, I hear ya on the tiredness. I feel like a walking zombie, LOL! Can't wait to get to the second trimester, where I can hopefully relax a bit and not worry so much, and hopefully the extreme sickness/tiredness will subside too. Glad to hear that you're otherwise doing well! :agree:

Great news that babies are doing well. I am so excited for you having twins! Hope you feel better soon. As everyone has said don't blame you for feeling tired I am shattered and I've just got one baby in there.
Thank you, 3boys :) It sounds like we're all battling the extreme tiredness! :sigh: I don't know if two babies = twice as much fatigue, but I sure do feel exhausted, as I know all of you girls do too. Can't wait to feel a little bit better in a few weeks' time! Hurry up, second trimester! ;)

Sorry to be such a thread hog! This is my last post, I promise! ;) Just wanted to share a pic of my u/s from yesterday. My husband stared at this pic in the car saying, "Wow. There's really two in there, huh?" LOL! I think he's still a little bit in shock, haha!

Aw sweetpea your not hogging the thread, its nice to hear twin stories, so cute and such a special thing your going through - can't wait to see more pics of them. I've always wondered on ultra sounds if you see twins interacting and 'playing' together - you'll have to look and let me know as they grow x

Thanks, MrsP! :) I wanted to catch up to the posts I missed over the last couple of days, and as I replied to each person I realized that I ended up posting several posts in a row! Didn't mean to hog the thread, hee hee! ;)
Honestly, I don't know hardly anything about twin pregnancies, so I'm curious of the same things that you are! I've been doing a little bit of reading so that I know what I'm in for, but lately I've been too exhausted at night to even pick up my Kindle. I'm usually in bed when the kids are - about 8:30 pm (if not earlier), LOL! :)

Me too, I'm counting the days, well actually weeks till we're in the second trimester. At least we'll be more relaxed and hopefully we'll get some energy back. I was breathless today as I tried to clean the house, I felt like an 80year old :) And I'm so emotional. Yesterday at work I could have easily knocked down my boss...she's such an as.h.le! I was surprised by my own reaction, I usually control myself with her even if she makes me angry, but yesterday I would have thrown her down the window :)

Awww, dreaming. :( Sorry to hear about your boss. It's bad enough that you have to feel as crummy as you do, and then have to deal with an awful boss on top of it, that stinks. Does she know you're pregnant?

No, didn't tell her yet and I got to know that she got another a promotion in another Department and if she accepts it and goes there, I'll wait till she leaves to tell everyone. I really don't want to tell her, she's such a witch. It's like, why do I have to tell something so beautiful that happened to me to someone I really don't like! I really hope she leaves.

By the way ladies, have to share this with you. I bought Ginger Root pills a few days ago for my nausea. My sil said she took them during her pregnancy and they worked. And they are also working for me. I don't know if it's my mind or the pills but I'm really having less nausea. I take one in the morning after eating something and one in the evening usually after dinner. The brand is Holland & Barrett but I'm sure there are lots of other brands in Herbal shops. I also bought some chewy ginger sweets from them but I honestly didn't like, they are soo sweet and I couldn't get them down. I'm also not feeling extremely hungry like I was before taking the pills, so that's another plus! :)

Thanks for the tip dreaming!!! So glad it's making you feel better, I may have to go get some!
I had a doctors appt this morning, my first prenatal check up, she prescribed me some diclectin for my nausea at night since its really bothering me and interfering with my sleep but I may stick it out without taking any. I don't really like the idea of taking meds. She also pretty well said I'm gaining weight too fast, I've gained 6lbs since September 20th (113lbs to 119lbs now) I didn't think that's overly a lot????? Although I'm only 5 foot. She said they only recommend 5lbs gained in the whole first trimester so I'm already over and only 9+3. I eat healthy though. When I snack it's apples, pears, cucumbers ect. So I dunno lol I'm not concerned though she seems to be. I was almost kinda offended lol!!!! Oh well!!!
Hope everyone else is getting on well!!!

Perhaps tell her you were ill before falling pregnant and had lost quite a bot of weight so actually your just gaining back what you lost and if you hadnt lost weight before your sway then you wouldnt have had that 6lb to gain back does that make sense ? Like me i have lost 5 pound and know as soon as i get pregnant and go back to "normal" eating that 5 pound will be back on in a matter of days !!!

I gained about 3-3.5kg, that's about 8lbs I think! I know I gained too much already but I was expecting this cause before getting pregnant I was eating only veggies, no sugar, no fat, everything low fat with aspartame. Now I'm drinking drinks which contain sugar and not aspartame cause that's not healthy for baby. I'm avoiding everything which is light, like light yoghurt (for the same reason) and I'm eating practically everything not just vegetables like I was before. So it's obvious that I gain weight. And I'm eating more too. I try to eat healthy but I have so many food aversions that I just can't stick to a healthy diet. I did the same thing when I was expecting DS, I got quite some weight during the first trimester but by the end of my pregnancy I only gained about 10kg, so that's not much all in all.

I'm not that fat yet, but honestly I'm starting to feel some of my tracksuit trousers are getting tight and I'm sliding them under my tummy and leave them around my hips. But I do that at home of course. My work trousers still fit in and are not bothering me at all, neither are jeans. My pj is also bothering and I'm also lowering it to my hips. I feel it's too early to buy maternity trousers though, they will be extra large! I hate this time when it seems nothing fits but maternity wear is still big!

Is anyone else wearing maternity clothes yet? I had to buy bra extensions too, which I'm waiting for eagerly but seem to take so long to arrive. Guess I need to get some new bras, but I hate to go shopping right now, even for the tiniest thing, I'm so tired, everything seems to be difficult to do.

Exactly!!! It was a huge change in diet once we got BFP and I know the first couple weeks I totally splurged and had all the foods I couldn't while dieting lol when she said 6 I was actually impressed! I also cut out "diet" foods cause the artificial sweeteners etc! It's hard not to eat the super yummy stuff when pregnant!!
And dreaming - I haven't had to get out maternity clothes or bras yet, I only had to wear a couple maternity shirts last preg so I don't even have any really! But ill tell you this, my shirt sure doesn't always teach my pants like it used to. And that is not a pretty sight. My bellaband will be coming out in about a week I think! My boobs also have suddenly grown in the last 2 days!!
What do you ladies do for stretchmarks?? I was uber lucky, I didn't get stretchmarks till 39 weeks last preg and so I don't have very many, they are somewhat faded. When do you start putting stretchmark cream on? Anyone have a favourite cream? Around here it seems "bio oil" is really popular but I cannot take the SMELL ick!!!

When I was pregnant with DS, I bought Vichy anti stretch marks cream and started to apply it after the first trimester. I did it everyday after my evening shower and believe me, I don't know if I was just lucky, but to me it made wonders. I did not get one single stretch mark on my belly and had just a few faint ones on my breast which went away in time. When the nurses/midwives saw my belly, they used to tease me and tell me 'the other ladies would be so jealous of you if they saw your belly' :) I intend to start applying it as soon as the first trimester is over, hopefully it is still in production cause I'm talking about 12years ago, but I think it is still available on the market. I got to check a bit on ebay.

Ok, did some research,I didn't find it on ebay but there are two different ones...one is Vichy Complete Action Anti-Stretch Mark Cream and the other one is Vich Anti-Stretch Mark Cream. They seem to be different but I don't know what's the difference between them. Mine was the Vichy Complete Action Anti-stretch Mark Cream cause I recognized the tub.

Haha, I've got you ALL beat on the weight gain! ;) I've gained a whopping 13 pounds already! :suprise: However, in my defense, I had a ruptured cyst and supposedly, the fluid from that can cause BIG weight gain until it all subsides and heals. So while I'm sure some of that is genuine weight gain from eating more after my BFP, I know some of it is fluid. I'm not worried, as I know what I'm eating (not much, really! Too sick!) and while I have had some bad foods like a cheeseburger or whatever, I'm mostly eating pretty healthy (lots of protein shakes and greek yogurt for all the extra protein I'm supposed to be consuming with twins!).
But yeah, I just thought I'd make all you ladies feel better by how much weight I've gained already, LOL. ;) You guys are doing fine! :agree:

You have a good reason apart from the cyst to gain more weight though....TWINS! :)

True! ;) But still, I'm supposed to gain 24 pounds by 24 weeks, so I'm already over the recommended weight gain for twins! I just hope some of this is still fluid - I honestly haven't been eating too badly. Not bad enough to gain 13 pounds already! LOL ;)
ETA: I also wanted to add that on a different message board I frequent, I saw a pic the other day of a woman who also had a ruptured cyst and had lots of fluid in her abdomen for awhile afterwards. She looked huge and bloated in the beginning, but her fluid was supposedly so bad that they had to go in and drain it. She looked WAY smaller in her next picture (several weeks later), even though she was much further along. Crazy!

I have 3 kids and not 1 single stretchmark :-)
Ive gone from a size 6 to a size 14 ( which isnt big but i am only 5 foot 1 and very petite )
This isnt as great as it sounds though because i have very elasticated skin that means that instead of strectch marks now I will have to suffer saggy skin when i get old - Im going to be one of those old women that tucks there boobs and belly into their waist band !!! I think id rather have stretchmarks !!

Hi all,
Cvd I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain. I gained nearly 10 lb on the 1st trimester with DD and my MIL who is a midwife took great pride in telling me that I gained too much weight. But over the whole pregnancy I only gain 23 lb.
I used bio oil all through my last pregnancy too and I still got stretch marks in the last 3 weeks.
Congratulations. Bamabelle

Hi all,
Cvd I wouldn't worry too much about the weight gain.
Bamabelle
Has anyone else been feeling really energised the first weeks ? It is a bit unnerving. But I am ready for the bed by 9 pm. It is like I am nesting already
I'm exhauseted all the time, I'm so tired of being tired. I'm sleepy soon after I wake up in the morning and I literally have to drag myself out of bed. I feel like a Zombie!

Maple I feel the same way. It feels like it has been months and I have only known for about 2 weeks.
Same here...it seems our own pregnancy takes forever while other people's pregnancy seem to pass so fast.

It's 9:30 on a Saturday night and all I want to do is go to bed. I have found that Gatorade relieves my nausea!
Gatorade...can we drink that? I could try it since I always don't know what to drink. The only drink that I'd like to drink is a pineapple drink but it's like CL, so it's full of Aspartame and I cannot drink it :( I don't know what's with me, I always have this drink problem when pregnant :(

dreamingpink77 - The american pregnancy web page says that "When used in moderation, nutritive sweeteners are considered safe for consumption during pregnancy assuming they are not contributing to weight gain." I have found that it is the best way to get rid of my nausea.

A middle aged man from another department who I only have very brief dealings with in work just came up to me on my way to the canteen and told me he had a dream that I was pregnant and that it was another girl. I was floored. The only person in work who knows I am pregnant was with me at the time and her lips are sealed.

Thank you everyone for your support. I feel a bit better today and have only been sick once. This is very unlike me to be this sick (made me wonder if I had a virus) but it feels like MS as I'm not running a temp or stomach cramps etc. my mum is convinced its twins even though I keep reminding her there is only one baby in there (confirmed at ultrasound).
Could it be a girl?? ... Knowing my luck it is another boy who wants to make sure I know he is coming.

How crazy and strange is this. I think I would be very freaked that this guy was dreaming about me in the first place and then have the balls to come over to you and tell you about it!!
Don't let the girl thing worry you. What a middle age semi-stranger thinks about the contents of your womb has NO BARING WHATSOEVER on what sex child you will have.
Edit: On reflection maybe he dreamt you were pregnant so he could offer his services! ha ha ha ha
How strange!!

It did really freak me out. But I know this guy is majorly inappropriate at the best of times and has kids and a wife. We had a good laugh over lunch but I will be trying to avoid him as much as possible in the next few weeks. I am not really to worried about his gender prediction I feel I did a good sway. It was just more the shocking inappropriateness of the comment and the fact that I am trying to hide a pregnancy
Also no thanks to that offer, he has a bigger belly then I will have at 9 months

hello everyone, 3 boys sorry your feeling so rough, i know that feeling well with ds3 i was so rough (its got progressively worse in all my pregnancies) even songs on the tele that were on around lunch time made me feel sick for ages - hope it eases soon for you.
I'm 7 weeks today and still don't feel pregnant - no ms (keep thinking its starting and i feel funny for a few seconds then it passes - weird, prob means its another boy and my body is so used to male hormones).
Pearl that's weird about that man, a girl i worked had a man stop her in the middle of the street, strange old man, whilst she was out on site and went "its a girl, i'm never wrong" we had a good laugh about it at the time, he was right though he daughter was born a couple of weeks ago (although to be fair he had a 50/50 chance). People say you dream the opposite of the gender you get - so maybe he was right and your pregnant with a boy x

10 weeks and I am NESTING already??? LOL!! Has anyone else been feeling like this????
Today I got an incredible urge to clean out our spare room (this will be DS's room eventually before baby comes). We have been using this room for the last 2 years just as storage, kinda like a junk room. My goodness what a chore!!!! But I am determined to get it cleared out today for some reason lol.

Anyone else having lots of crazy gender dreams? I've dreamed twice that this is a boy, last night I dreamed it was a girl and her foot was sticking out of my belly. So weird! These pregnancy dreams are nuts. How's everyone feeling? Sorry you're feeling so bad, 3boys. I'm feeling pretty rotten myself, just lots of indigestion and trapped wind. So painful!

I was saying this a few posts ago . I have to do things in the evenings when I come in from work and not just flop. And I can keep going until about 9.30 when the tiredness kicks in and then it is straight up to bed. Last sat, I cleaned the entire house, including down on my hands and knees scrubbing in between the tiles in the bathrooms and front porch.
Mrs P , I don't feel pregnant either, my only signs are going to bed earlier and the evening bloat. This is the way I was with DD too, so hopefully for both of us it has nothing got to do with gender and more to do with our bodies tolerance for hGC. My mam was the sickest she had been with all my sisters (6 of us) with me (no 4), so I am thinking I was exposed to very high levels of hGC when I was a bump and that is why I don't get MS. Just a theory.

CVD, my nesting hasn't kicked in yet but I have spent so much time this week in the bathroom that I just haven't had time to nest only puke ha ha.
Jadis, I know with DS3 I had numerous dreams about him being a girl. And every time I had the dream I would call her a ridiculous name. I can remember in one of the dreams I called her BERRY CHERRY!!????? Pregnancy sure makes you dream weird dreams. None so far with this pregnancy mind due.

I dreamt of having a girl too more than once in the last couple of days and it really irritates me cause I just need to think there's a cute boy in there. I can't let myself hope too much that this is a girl.
As for indigestion and bloating...I'm also feeling terrible everyday, it kind of starts in the afternoon, my stomach and tummy get so bloated that I can hardly breath comfortably and I know it's not the baby pressing on stomach cause he's just to little, so let alone when I'll be big! I get super gassy, and I feel so exhausted I can hardly wake up from the sofa. Can't wait for the little one to start kicking so at least I'll start to feel a little happier feeling his kicks :)

Hi all! I am new here and due June 18th! We didn't sway because getting pregnant is not easy for us and I felt swaying would just further diminish our odds of conceiving. Hello! Can I be added to the roll call? I had my ultrasound yesterday, and found out I am 5 weeks, 6 days pregnant. So my due date is July 5, 2013! I am hoping for a 4th of July baby. :)
I will be having another u/s on November 19 to check growth as pretty much only the sac could be seen yesterday. The tech and the doctor said not to be concerned because it is still so early. Hopefully they will be able to see more at the next u/s.

Oh Maple, that sounds just like me! Indigestion, constipation, and a constant urge to eat only fries drenched in vingegar. Everything else smells terrible to me and I'm constantly nauseous. I live with the constant fear that I'm going to puke in public. I've started carrying a plastic bag in my purse just in case. Going to the grocery store is killing me, the sights and the smells have me running for the bathroom, so convinced that I'm going to be sick. Then, of course, I never do actually throw up. I just feel like I will at any moment. No fun! I'm 7 weeks and hoping that this will pass soon, I'm having a really hard time coping with the nausea and exhaustion. I even sobbed this morning when I realized how much laundry was waiting for me. I wailed and cried to my husband: "I'm not even treading water! I can't keep up with the housework, all I want to do is sleep and barf!!! Why did we do this??" The flood of tears may have something to do with the horomones, I guess. I just can't wait to be out of the first trimester...I'm not performing well at work any more :(
I hope it doesn't get any worse for you, I'm so excited to see that you've got your BFP after all your patience and perseverence! Thanks for the tip about the new thread!

Hi Maple! Yes, I noticed we were exactly the same amount pregnant. :) How cool that your baby is due right around your birthday! My last little boy was born one week before my birthday. I was kind of hoping he'd be late and come on my birthday, but then again I didn't really want to be too overdue or have to be induced, so it worked out well.
How are you feeling? Sorry, I haven't read this whole thread so I apologize if you have already reported on that, LOL. I ask because I feel thoroughly un-pregnant. I know I am, I had three bfps, a beta that went from 1700 to 5000 in 72 hours, and an ultrasound, but if it wasn't for all that, I would have no idea. I have never had morning sickness very badly, and it got better with each child. But this time, I'm not even a bit queasy. I know I should feel fortunate, but it makes me question how the baby is doing all the time. :S

Yes, actually, being in labour on my birthday may not be a good thing, lol.. Ouch.
Just the last 2 days I have been feeling unwell.. Nausea and off a lot of foods. I only want to eat fried unhealthy food.. It seems to be coming in waves, rather than consistently nauseous - so far. I had terrible m/s with DS2 - up until 16 wks. So I am certainly expecting it this time!
It sounds like you may not get m/s! Wow, that is lucky! Although I do understand that you may not feel very pregnant at this stage.. Early pregnancy is a really uncertain time, the hormonal fluctuations don't help either! Your blood work sounds very healthy. Try to enjoy feeling good!!
When is your first ultrasound? What country are you in?
All the best for a very happy & healthy pregnancy! XX

Hi, ladies. Sorry I haven't been very chatty lately...I feel so horrible this pregnancy, much worse than my other two. Hopefully this will pass soon.
Anyway, glad to see that everyone is doing pretty well, yucky feelings aside. I have a question though. Is anyone showing a little bit yet? Any kind of tiny bump at all? The reason I'm asking is because, with this being my third pregnancy and it also being twins, I thought for sure I'd be showing by now (almost 10 weeks), at least a little bit. But I'm totally not. You can tell that I'm very bloated and kind of "thick" looking in the middle, and you can tell that I've put on a few pounds, but I most definitely don't have any kind of bump. It makes me a tiny bit worried that the babies aren't growing or something, but I suppose it's still early. Just wondering what you girls are experiencing...

Hi sweetpea. I am not showing which is unlike me as with DS2 and 3 I had a pooch by now. I too was expecting to pop right out this being my forth (fifth but didn't get a bump with my mc) pregnancy!! Baby was measuring right on track last week son I'm sure he is fine just does make you worry doesn't it.
I'm sure your babies are fine and hopefully this is a sign we are carrying dainty little girls ;)

I am super excited because I found a place that does early gender assessments (14 weeks), it is a bit of a drive away from me lol but I have finally convinced DH to take the road trip and so we will find out the gender on December 6th now - Instead of waiting until January 3rd!! I am so excited because it seems so soon!!! LESS THEN A MONTH! I am going to pray every night that baby cooperates and let's us see HER baby nubbins hehehe ;)
Hi CVD how exciting!!! :) Roll on the 6th, I shall be super stalking you.
I too was looking into finding out the gender early. I was going to go team green but it's slowly becoming the case that I need to find out asap for my own sanity (seriously I am going crazy). I live in Kent in England and there is a famous Doctor half an hour from me called DR Penman who does gender prediction scans 12 weeks onwards. Lots of people have been and he has great reviews, with accuracy of 95% at 13 weeks. I am tempted to book but I'm not sure if I could handle knowing before Christmas and then having to pretend to my family and act excited when they go on and on about the fact it might be a girl (I'm convinced he has a willy in there).

I had an u/s today. My little jellybeans HB was 124 and they moved my due date to June 28.
This is great news Belle, strong little bean in there! :)

Yes! I envy the girls who stay team green. I literally just could never do it! It would kill me!!
And family is one of the reasons were doing the 14 week scan - my MIL has been so naggy and down "don't get your hopes up for a girl" blah blah blah. so we aren't telling anyone about the scan, just DH and I going :) that way I can *hopefully* prepare to handle her, girl or boy! It'd be hard right at Christmas though, I agree! You'll just have to see how you feel closer to the time. I can't wait to see what we are all having in here! I hope our sways worked!!!!

XX
I guess being in labor on your birthday would be not so fun, but it would be special to share a birthday with your little one in the years to come. :)
I am in the U.S. I actually already had an ultrasound that put me at 5 weeks 5 days last Wednesday. They could really only see the sac. I am going back on Monday, November 19 for another scan to check the growth and hopefully see a heartbeat.

I never showed until around 20 weeks or so. I have a long torso, so I don't "pop" out. I would expect that you will show sooner than that with twins, but at 10 weeks they are still so tiny, I wouldn't expect you to show yet. I understand your frustration, I am always impatient to start showing so people know I am pregnant and not just a little chubby in the middle!

We live in Kent too and have been to both his clinics. He scanned all three of our boys and got 2 out of 3 right but the one he go wrong was just over 11 weeks so he said 75% girl. The other two he thought 95% boy. Nice man - bit eccentric!!! Bow ties etc!!! Main reason we went to him was because nhs at the time didn't offer uncalled scans but they do now so just going nhs this ime. Am scared of finding out this time lol!!!!

:) great to hear from someone who has been. If I were to go it would be at 13 weeks but I suppose there is still room for error. I think I would get GD really badly if I were told girl only to be confirmed its another boy at a later date. I suppose I was thinking that it is better to know its DS4 as early as possible so I can get on with my pregnancy (im so convinced its a boy i hadnt allowed myself to think of an alternitive) but being told its a DD with a margin for error..... I think I need to think about this more :). Maybe I will hold out for 16 weeks when there is more accuracy.

I'm convinced I've got another boy on the way because of Ramzi's theory. It's hard to argue with his statistical accuracy and my baby was firmly implanted on the right side of my uterus at 5 weeks gestation. In my head, baby on the right=boy and baby on the left=girl. Of course, there's a tiny shred of hope left in my heart. I keep thinking that 97.7% is not 100%, maybe I'll be one of the 2.3% flukes. I'm preparing myself to come to grips with the fact that I'll never have a girl. I'd rather be prepared than completely crushed at my 20 week scan.

I think at 13 weeks he has something like 98% of something. I know now that at 11 weeks the nub still has a chance to rise. When he told me girl I skipped into the car park jumping up and down - was so happy. Worse thing was at 20 weeks they said couldn't tell and was inclined to agree girl. I must admit I did have post natal after he was born but bonded straight away and loved him unconditionally. I went back with ds3 but made sure it was later and he was right. I don't want to go this time as I am scared of knowing! This is my final baby and I am just so scared which must sound rediculous!!!! X

I agree with Mrs P, when all you've ever seen is willy's it's hard to believe it could go either way. There is a chance of corse for all of us but we are all scared to even hope. I got my hopes up that DS3 might be a girl and it left me with DG that I don't want to experience ever again. DS3 of corse is the light of my life but it ruined my pregnancy with him.

I can't remember how far in advance I booked it as ds3 is 2 and half now but I don't think there's a long wait. He does have really good clear equipment and you get a DVD too. I could tell in our scan ds3 was a boy because I had been obsessing over nubs so long lol!!! Do you live far from there? It's just off the motorway so easy to get to.

Yeah i keep hovering that way to after horrible gd last time, but am so scared i would be disappointed at the birth, even if only a little and the guilt of that would be horrible as i know my first thought would be "o its a boy" as opposed to being so excited to meet my little man after i've got over it during pregnancy.
Going round in circles in my head and i am already sick of not knowing not sure i could handle 9 months. On one hand out of 1000 women there would be 500 ds's for first child at 50/50, second child out of the 500 there would be 250 second boys, third child 125 third boys (moms with 3 lads), fourth child 62.5 boys - odds come down greatly the more times you flip tails that you will get another tails but there are a good few of us on here with 3 boys trying again - some of us are going to be disappointed, especially if recent opposites continue! As rare as it is there will always be one mom who continues to flip tails - probability, sods law?!?

Ok question ladies - has anyone had (either this preg or previous) tooth sensitivity????
It recently (over the last couple days)has become a bit painful to chew in 2 spots in my mouth, I am wondering if I have suddenly sprung 2 cavities after not having a single problem in over 10 years or if it is a preg symptom? I know they say sometimes your gums can bleed more but I don't think I've heard of tooth sensitivity? I thankfully see the dentist for my regular check up on the 30th so I'm hoping it goes away/doesn't get worse! It's not terrible, or super painful, just more of an annoyance when I'm trying to eat lol I hope someone can relate!!!!

Hi yes I have had tooth sensitivity when pregnant . In England we get free dentistry when pregnant because your teeth can be effected by pregnancy. I had an absess with ds3 which was horrendous with no pain relief. I normally find after few days it eases off. It's got worse with each pregnancy. I just brush my teeth a lot throughout day when I can when they hurt. Hope they ease off for you x

When all my family members come down for Christmas I want to be able to handle the "ooh this might be a DD" comments without feeling the need to lie or worse cry ha ha ha. I have also decided to spend the £100 plus I would have been spending on the scan on extra presents and goodies for the boys on Chrismas day.
Of corse I will be getting a NHS scan around 12/13 weeks (6th December ish) so I'm sure I will nubsessing over that.

we will be the first to deviate from DH's fam tradition of 3! His mom is from 3 kids, dad is from 3 kids, DH is from 3 kids and my SIL just had her third and last lol I think that's why DH really wants 3 but 2 will be complete for me!
Each family is different :) I hope you get pink 3boys, that'd be so nice for your little men!
Just out of curiosity, if this baby is a boy, will you still be happy with only having two? I always wonder if we would have stopped at two if ds2 had been a girl, and I'm actually really thankful he wasn't, because I may have missed out on ds3 and this new little one!

I have my first u/s tomorrow! Excited and nervous... What if there is nothing in there?! What if there is more than 1 in there?!
Wow I feel absolutely terrible today. Food prep is so tough.. Headaches too. Really suffering! Sigh...

We will also be the first in our families to have more than 3. I came from a family of 3 kids; my sister has 3 boys and my brother has 1 boy. My dh is an only child. I know his mom will think we are INSANE. She was astounded when we announced we were pregnant with number 3. I am not looking forward to her reaction. :/

There is actually more of a chance (which is not much lol) me having 3 if this is a girl! If this is a boy there is no way I will try again! 2 feels complete to me :)

I am not a SAHM yet but we are planning for me to stay home after this baby is born. I understand what you mean about being the first to deviate from you family size. We are the first to have 3 children and now we are having a fourth. I don't even want to tell my family just so I don't have to hear all of their comments. Hopefully yours is more supportive than mine. They thought we were crazy when we had the third.

A lot of people can't understand the need for four. But I love having a big family. Luckily those who we have already told have not been as shocked because we made a big deal about the fact we were trying for number four since my MC. So I've already had the you must be mad comments months ago :)

Good luck with the ultrasound maple.
I was reading the comments about family size and laughing at how different it still is in Ireland. I would love to have 5 and all my friends want at least 3-4 kids except 1 who doesn't want any. My eldest sis only has 2 and she got a hard time over that. But I suppose when you come from a family of 6 (dh 7) 5 does not seem like a lot

Hi ladies! I am back in action. Tendonitis is almost 100% healed up and I am typing and writing normally again. Let's see...what's new...
Well I went in for my first u/s last Wednesday and Thursday. Had to force it because they were not going to do one until I hit 12 weeks but because I had two spotting incidents they went ahead and did it for me. Baby Bear's hr was 156 (which makes me think boy) and implanted on the right (which according to Ramzi also indicates boy).
Here is the u/s photo. Baby Bear is measuring 7 weeks 5 days here which was spot on for when I ovulated.
6241
I opted to do the Nucal Scan which means I will see Baby Bear again at 12 weeks. I have dry heaves which may be worse than actually vomiting because I just heave and heave and nothing comes up. Almost like 24 hour motion sickness. I have tried saltines, protein, ginger ale, ginger tea...nothing helps. Water even makes me feel queasy. I just keep telling myself...only 4 more weeks until I start to feel a bit functional, lol.

My heart goes out to you, my family are the same - noone will be pleased for us, my mom thinks three is too much already as does dh's mom and dad (and of course we get the why would you bother you know it will only be another boy) and my work will be really upset too as i have just started a new job and been on maternity leave twice already in the 5 years i have been there (although i do work part time).
On the other hand, its nice to have someone in the same position as me!

Kinda got me feeling a little down :( especially after my doctor was all concerned about the "6lbs" I gained. Pfft.

Hi sweetpea, I haven't been on the forum for some days now and only reading this now. I'm also 10wks 3days and I have just posted to a friend telling her the same concern like yours. I'm also not showing yet...and I so much thought that I would show quite early in the beginning. I put up some 3kilos almost immediately and now it seems I'm not growing anymore. I don't have a bump yet either and like you I'm starting to get worried. I still have nausea and I'm exhausted every day. Food and everything else really smell bad so still having pregnancy symptoms. But honestly I can't wait to go for my scan next week on Friday. Can't wait to see baby moving and at the same time I'm afraid to go, I'm afraid something went wrong since my last ultrasound :( It's kind of reassuring though reading your post. I just have to continue reading if there were any updates from your post. Hope our babies are all growing fine!

Pfft to all of em! I am sure it will level out now that I can't stand to eat because of the nausea. This morning I ate a graham cracker and sliced pickles. I'm sure no weight gain there. 3boys thanks and so glad to hear that everything is just fine with the baby! Yes my baby bear is cooking away in there. I believe the theory goes high hr over 140 = girls and low hr under 140= boys. Two scientific studies dispel the myth however. There is no real correlation between hr and gender. But it is all in fun. Hi Guys! Just back from my first midwives appt :) I asked her to try and pick up the heartbeat and she said that she's never ever ever been able to get it on doppler this early. But I begged and reminded her that I'm so skinny that if it was ever detectable this early on anyone, I'd be a good candidate. So she gave in and tried and guess what? We heard it! I took pics this morning before eating anything so tummy is still flat compared to how I am in the evening when it's full of food :) and bloated with gas :( I think you'll agree there's not much of a bumb for 10wks plus, that's why I'm starting to worry something is wrong :(

And by the way girls, my tummy is never flat, not even when I was on diet, it's my problematic area, everything else seems to get tinier when I'm on a diet, but my tummy always seems to be bulging a little compared to my hips etc. So it seems to me that it remained how it previously was.

I know!!! I hope it'll be reliable enough. Ill probably just worry all the way until my scan on jan 3rd anyway lol but I am excited too because this'll be the first time I hear the heartbeat finally. My doctor didn't try the doppler at my last appt :(

Why is morning sickness always at the most inconvenient of times with ds3 it was lunch time, with this baby is evening - i guarantee 10 mins before i sit down to my tea and bamn last all evening and well into the night - i start to feel better about 5/6 am. With sickness and gd dreams i'm knackered. I was just starting to enjoy my teas again to after the le diet but struggling to keep anything down - not that i've been sick yet.
Dreaming i wouldn't worry about the baby - when you think of the size of it at this stage there is pretty much nothing to show, you'll make up for it soon, mostly at this stage its more mummy weight than baby weight or fluid etc - less to loss the other end x

Mrs P! My nausea is the exact same! It's like my tummy knows when it's 8pm lol EVERY NIGHT - SAME TIME!! It actually got so bad it was waking me up and I couldn't get back to sleep, just kept tossing and turning :( SO restless. My doc gave me diclectin - I take 1 at 7:30pm. At about 9-10pm I still have an upset tummy but at least I can sleep!
Such a nuisance eh? I hope it gets better for you soon!

It was in the 170's range, so exciting!
That's awesome! Great to hear the heartbeat isn't it?!
How are you feeling now? XX

So sorry you are feeling sick Mrs_P. This constant feeling of nausea is so sick. Mine also usually starts in the afternoon and lasts till evening, sometimes I feel it is starting to decrease but then it starts again all of a sudden :( And after I have dinner, I feel like a sack of potatoes, I can't even get up of my chair and if I eat a smaller portion, I remain hungry.

Oh it seems we're all so messed up. All nauseous and exhausted. And sometimes the exhaustion just comes all of a sudden, like today, I woke up with some energy, did some house cleaning, washed some clothes and put some order in the house, then went in the yard to hang out the clothes and all of a sudden I was just breathless, couldn't even finish hanging out the clothes, as if it was the hardest chore on earth. This all sucks!

Does it matter when the ultrasound is done to check out heart rate and see if it's over 140 or not? I don't know what hr was at my last ultrasound but I can ask gynae when I go for my ultrasound next week.
Hummm? That is an excellent question dreaming. I suppose that is why the theory really doesn't work. I think hr tends to vary as the baby gets older? Or maybe it is an average thing...like if the first time you hear the hr it is 170 and the next time it is 162 and the next time it is 166 then one could "theoretically" say the hr is on the high side. I also think they probably tend to be in the same general range each time. It will be fun to find out what the hr was. Let me know!

Thank you Praying! I am trying not to let it get to me, lol I am surprised it does! I hope your nausea gets better so eating is easier for you :( And I know I force myself to drink water all day long but I'd really rather not haha! I am posting my next belly pic Monday at 12 weeks - this one is gonna be a major difference!!!
cvd I tried these sea bands and they seem to help just a bit. I am functional at work since I have been using them. I am not dry heaving as much either. I just tried vitamin water today (the one with dragonfruit) and I drank the whole thing. I wouldn't make a habit of it but I think it is okay once in a while to get your hydration in. Just have to watch it because it is loaded with sugar and some of them have caffeine and other weird ingredients, lol. I can't wait to see your pic cvd! I found videos on youtube where they found the gender of their babies at only 12 weeks! Oh my....I'll be 11weeks 5 days next week when I'll go for my us, but I'm sure that if I ask gynae what the sex is...he'll throw me out of the window :)
Yep dreaming it happens. Matter of fact, I had a bad bleed with DS1 at 12 weeks and when I went for my follow up they were checking the baby and honey those parts were 100% boy parts. I mean, my mouth dropped and I had no doubt in my mind that it was a boy. I will see if I can find those u/s pictures

Partially works, lol. My nausea seems to get worse at night also. It is bad in the am and pm and moderate during the day. Matter of fact it is about that time where they are no longer effective so I usually strip them off at around this time. I have always had a problem with milk unfortunately. I never drink the stuff and when I craved it with DS1, I became incredibly sick every time. It's no wonder he was put on soy, lol. I really don't like to drink CL now that I am pregnant but that was the one thing that kept me drinking before. I guess a Gatorade would be okay huh?

One sip of milk and that's it the whole content plus some comes straight back up! I can't have cereal and before the LE diet I used to have cereal every day. I feel more thirsty generally with this pregnancy but I am sick mostly once a day so it is probably my body telling me it needs the fluid. I have had MS soooo bad ths pregnancy, praying it ends at 12 weeks :(

That is scary, and I'm sorry you hurt your knee, but at this point I think it is highly unlikely such a fall could hurt your baby. Baby is still so tiny and so well protected in there! I hope all is well.

A and E are rubbish - if your still worried tomorrow go to your gp and ask him to refer you to the early pregnancy clinic at gynaecology outpatients - they will scan you. I have been there with 3 of my four - two boys i had bleeding with, this one a lot of cramping to check for ectopic, maternity won't see you til you are 18 weeks but they will and do.
On the other hand though, baby is still so small and very well protected deep down, i'm sure everything is fine its more when babe is bigger and you land on your bump or tummy impact that you have to worry but if you are concerned lay it on thick and go get checked out! - i really don't think it gets any easier the more kids you have, i still feel like a nervous first time mom every time.
Ps on a side note has anyone else been really grumpy lately - my temper keeps getting so short and i am really snappy - not sure if its hormones or lack of sleep

I'm not sure, i'm not added either and have been here some weeks now - Hope has enough on her plate at the moment though so i'm not surprised its not been updated - they lost most of their home to the recent tradegy and she's been in limbo with the baby she just lost for weeks not knowing how it would pan out.

I messaged her a few weeks ago and she recently replied that their home was destroyed in the hurricane so she had not had a chance to update the thread. I'm sure once everything gets settled she will update it. Maybe the person who posted right after her could update their post to contain all of the due dates so it is still at the beginning of the thread and so she won't have to worry about it with everything else that is going on.
