Yeah that's my thoughts too CVD. We are finding out in January and I keep thinking at least December will go really quick. If you've got to wait a month, it's the best month for distraction.
For sure!! January is going to be a big month for us ladies i think! Hopefully start the new year off right hehe. I am just so anxious. DH and I really feel its a girl but I just want to hear it so I can actually get excited about it!!
Glad to hear your nauseas better now! But sorry about your cold!!! Wears you right down eh. I spent about 3 days as a vegetable last week with mine lol hopefully it passes quickly!

LOL. My DS3 is REALLY hairy, he has it all up his back which is strange because my DH isn't hairy and I can assure you it's not me!
I didn't get more heartburn with him though so don't panic!
My son was born almost bald, just a few fine hair and I used to have heartburn from as soon as I was 4 months. I couldn't eat anything and even water used to start heartburn. I think the baldness/hairy baby is all a myth. My mom always suffered from severe heartburn when having all us four and we were all bald :) Actually I like bald babies :)

Ya exactly! That's the way I'm looking at it :) I was sad at first but now I'm not. DH thinks its better to wait anyway lol good thing December is a busy month! How have you been feeling dreaming?
Well actually I think I'm starting to feel better. There are days when I say, I almost feel good today, then perhaps get some nausea in the evening. Others, like today, that I still say that I'm really tired and mostly sleepy. I think that on the whole I'm feeling so and so, but better than I was.And something I really saw a difference lately is constipation...I noticed that since stopping taking Folic Acid I'm going to the toilet more often and stools are softer, sorry tmi. I am minaging to go to toilet without taking any medicine to help. Seems that symptoms are starting to subside...Yay! I'm gonna be 13 weeks next Sunday. I think next Monday I'll tell everyone at work that I'm pregnant :)

Ou! Glad to hear things are getting better, it's nice to start having good days here and there lol! Geez that folic acid seems to be a pretty big culprit to our symptoms, I don't think I've noticed a difference since stopping it! I'm not really having that problem this pregnancy like I did my last. I eat A LOT more fruit and vegetables with this one so I think that's why! That'll be fun telling everyone! I found it nice to kinda get it off my chest, no more hiding!

And by the way the ring test told me that DD was a boy. In fact all the old wives tales of pregnancy told me that DD was a boy.
.
Yeah Pearl I really don't put stock into all of that stuff. I guess it just bothered me more that SHE did put stock into it to the point of saying that I would get a boy and she would get a girl just because the test said so. The bad part is I could be one of those people who wants to get a girl and for HER to get a boy. BUT she is my friend and I honestly would be crushed if I had to tell her I was pregnant with a girl after finding out she is pregnant with a boy. She will find out first so I really do hope she gets her girl. I hope we all get our desired genders!!!

Anyone else having a nail growth spurt?
I'm glad you ladies are starting to feel better. I too am feeling like the nausea is subsiding. I still have my days though. I just can't wait to start feeling better all around. Poor DH hasn't been getting any these days because I am just SO tired and unwell. Oh well...as my mom always says...this too shall pass.

Ok ok really starting to get a little freaked out about next week now. Been looking on YouTube and I'm very good at nub guessing video's. I don't want to know yet!! I want to be in total boy denial over Christmas! What am I going to do?? I can't cancel scan because the NT scan in my opinion is important. And I can't not look at the scan, I want to see my baby. I wish I never ever ever learnt the nub theory, it ruined my pregnancy with DS3 as well as I knew straight away he was a boy. grrrrrrrr
I'm stressing myself out. Need some chocolate NOW ;)

Does anyone else have a rash? I started getting red, raised bumps all over my chest, stomach, and back on Friday and they are still there. :( I saw my OB yesterday because I was worried something was going on that could be hurting the baby, but she wasn't sure what causing it. She thinks I may be reacting to a food I ate or medication I took last week when I was sick (I only took Tylenol and Sudefed). I had bloodwork done to rule out a few other possibilities. It isn't painful or itchy, so it's not really a problem, but it freaks me out a bit. Any ideas?

sorry:( do you feel a big difference between carrying twins and singles? is every prego feeling doubled??
Yes, this has already been the most difficult pregnancy I've had. Well, I should say that I've been blessed with not really any complications so far (besides one day of very light spotting, and the ruptured cyst on my ovary), and the babies have been growing great and seem to be healthy. BUT, the symptoms this time around are horrible. :( The morning sickness started right away, even before my BFP, and has been really bad. The fatigue has been much more intense than with my other pregnancies, too. But the worst part has been the headaches. I've been getting them every.single.day. for weeks now - they start in the late afternoon/early evening and go until bedtime. It's hard to get to sleep. Some have been splitting headaches, some have been throbbing headaches, and some have been full blown migraines. That fact that I get them EVERY day is making me crazy. I feel like I just can't function. I really hope some of these symptoms let up soon. I know that pregnancy is such a short period of time in the grand scheme of things, and I'm so glad the babies are doing well (which makes it all worth it), but at least *a little bit* of relief would be nice. :)
Sorry for the big, whiny, complaining post.

Oh wow, this thread moves so fast! :p I just read through 3 pages of posts, and I was just here yesterday too! ;)
cvd - I'm sorry you had to cancel your early scan, but at least the one you'll get at 18 weeks will be very accurate! :agree: Also, I noticed that you're now in the second trimester! Yay! How are you feeling? I think you're the first one in the group to reach the second tri, right?
P4P - I wouldn't put ANY stock into the string test. It's just an OWT with no actual truth to it at all. I'm sorry your friend/coworker is being annoying about it, though. :(
jennaesue - I'm sorry, I have no idea what that rash could be. It sounds annoying though! Hopefully it will disappear soon. Pregnancy skin can be so easily irritated and so sensitive. Did you recently switch laundry detergents? That could be a cause of rashy skin.
As for heartburn - I've had it pretty bad from the middle to end of my pregnancies, and I've always had bald babies. Just another OWT, I think! :)

I think there is still a couple people due before me in this group! But I am the first to post about it haha!! I am feeling pretty good, still tired! Nausea has seemed to go away finally lol crossing my fingers! And my clothes are definitely not fitting as well, I've got a good sized bump for how far along I am! My body definitely had no problem springing back to pregnant mode.
I'm sorry to hear your not feeling so well :( Hopefully it eases up soon as the second trimester is literally around the corner for you! I have been getting headaches here and there too, but definitely not as bad/frequently as you! Those babies are just taking everything so they are nice and healthy! And I agree, aside from all the sickness we are all so lucky to have no complications! I hope it stays that way!! Feel better soon!

Yes, I'm drinking lots and lots of water. I don't really drink anything besides water and milk. My doctor didn't seem concerned, but just told me to "push water as much as possible." It was hard to do that at first, because the last thing you want to do when you're nauseous is drink loads of water :sigh: but I've been doing it anyway. And my nausea has eased up a little bit since week 11, so I've really, really been pushing the water. Even at night. I literally go through 2 water bottles a night, and get up a few times during the night to pee. I'm drinking water 24/7, literally, and sometimes I feel like I'm going to float away, LOL! I think it really does help, as my headaches are MUCH worse on days that I don't drink as much, but no matter what I do, they still arrive daily. :( So annoying and so painful. I hope this symptom tapers off soon. I can't imagine 9 months of this, ugh. :sigh:

Not actually a nail growth spurt, but they are getting stronger little by little, they were extra flaky until a few weeks ago, now it seems they are getting stronger, yay :) I so much like pretty long nails and Christmas is coming and want to paint them nicely red :)
Hope you will be feeling less tired soon sweet. Our hubbies are busy lately  I'm always leaving plates and dishes for him to wash, I just can't get up of the chair when we eat dinner. I feel like a sack of potatoes :) and I'm getting extra cuddles too :)

Sorry you're freaked out sweetie, it's understandable. I was also trying to figure out something during my last scan but honestly I couldn't see any nub and the monitor was a little far away from me. Gynae had a monitor facing himself, which I couldn't see but then he had another one showing same things of course, hanging down from the ceiling so it should be more comfortable for us mums to see but it was a little far and couldn't take a close look. I;m so obsessing about the sex of this little one too and feel so moody. Sometimes I just burst out in tears when I thing it's a boy, sometimes I smile, boq....go figure out!

Sorry jennaesue, no idea. Although hubby had the same thing last summer and we went to doctor and she couldn't figure out what it was though she completely excluded certain serious deseases. The rash got away without any medication within a few days and we still don't know what it was. Hope it goes soon sweet, but I think if it was something serious, dr would have realised immediately.

I feel horrible too. I went to my first appt yesterday and was only supposed to meet with the nurse but I have been extremely short of breath even when resting and my breathing was irregular i had to see th OB. He sent me for a CT scan because they were worried about blood clots. Apparently you cannot have a CT scan when you are preg because of the contrast they use so the did another scan and would not let me leave until the OB had the results. It was a horrible emotional day. I ended up being there for almost 4 hours. They finally told me that everything looked ok but by then I was already a wreck. I go to see my regular OB on the 11th so hopefully I will know more by then. To top the whole thing off I was there alone because DH had to work and we haven't told anyone yet.

I take Tylenol once in awhile (the only medicine my doctor approves during pregnancy), but it doesn't seem to help much, if at all, so I usually just suffer through them. :(
Atsaukina did post an interesting link above with lots of info about headaches during pregnancy (thank you, Atsaukina!), and while I still don't really know why they're happening so much, the article *did* give me some good ideas on how to help relieve some of the pain. I'm going to try some of those things tonight. :agree:

Ah no!!! I'm so jealous I wish I had one! I have YET to hear this baby's heart beat. My next appt is December 10th and we will for sure be hearing it then. Drives me crazy, my last appt my doc wouldn't try cause I was only 9 weeks? Then at the ultrasound we SEEN the heart beating but didn't get to hear it. Ha! I just undid my seat belt, wiggled my pants down my thighs a bit, positioned the cup so it was right underneath me and let it rip.I used one hand to hoist myself up off my car seat. I worried that someone in another car would notice what I was up to, but I really had no other option. I just put the lid back on and tossed it in a public garbage can as I got closer to home.

hi ladies, those of you who have all the same sex children, how is this pregnancy going? Is it much different so far? I am trying not to obsess about this being different and meaning it might somehow be the girl I long for. I know they say pregnancy symptoms doesn't mean a certain gender but heavy morning sickness really does seem more common in girl pregnancies. I definitely have more nausea this time but not getting sick of anything. Plus I am convinced I was more exhausted with my two boys...just hope everything is alright in there. had some bleeding week 7 but doc said everything looks to be fine. Glad to hear the ms is easing up for those of you in the second trimester!!!

I will be 15 weeks the first time I hear it :( I heard DS at like 10 :(. Do you have one?? Did you find it easily?
I brought one with DS3. Yeah I have just been able to find the heartbeat myself. I tried last week but failed and worried myself silly that something was wrong. I did that last time with DS3 so should have learnt my lesson.
It is lovely being able to hear it whenever you want but in a way it causes a lot of stress for me as it can take me 15 mins to find it and in that 15 mins stress levels are through the roof.
Hope you get to hear it soon. I'm sure you will at your next appointment. It's a shame we don't live next door I could pop mine round :)

Hi Heidi,
Yes for me this pregnancy is very different. I have suffered with severe MS (Hyperemisis) which is a very first for me. Do I think it's because it's a girl???........ I would like to think so truly I would but if I'm honest with myself I feel like its just because I'm on child number four (pregnancy number five) and things get worse symptom wise for me every pregnancy.
hope you are cooking a girl in there Hun and that different symptoms is a good sign for you :)

I heard/read something about every minute w/ a doppler is like 20 min of ultrasound. I just use monthly w/ mw. home dopplers can be inaccurate and cause a lot more stress plus if you are not experienced there are lots of other sounds that can sound like babes heartbeat. I can see how it can be very reassuring if you have suffered a loss though big hugs

Ah what a nightmare for you! I would have done the same in that circumstance.. Wow snow, we really are on opposites sides of the world. Hot hot day today for us.. Unfortunately it's not consistent here! XX

I agree that they shouldn't be over used. I know I heard my babies heartbeat though at there is no way mine would have been 171 bpm unless I was about to have a heart attack lol. I'm very slim so it helps.

Ah I can imagine it'd cause a little stress! Glad you found it though! I wanted to buy one but DH was really against spending the money lol! Aw and that's be so nice, I wish! I just wanna hear it once! Feels like my next appt is forever away still! If we were high risk/suffered losses before I probably would have bought one for peace of mind!

Hi!! Congrats, glad to have you with us!! Prior to pregnancy I drank one or two coffees a day and also 2 diet cokes. I cut the diet coke out completely but usually still have my one coffee, some days none, I guess it depends how DS wakes up ;) lol. Other then that one coffee some days, I drink no more caffeine - lotsa water, a decaf tea every now and then but not often either! I don't seem to miss caffeine at all so I have gotten on pretty easily :) the coffee is almost a treat now hehe!

only caffiene I like is chocloate lol. my dh is a coffee drinker and coffee smell was prego is just too much aggg.
so bv has made it's lovey appearance. I get it every freaking time, antbx do nothing for it, it just comes right back
one reason I think ph might play a part in sway(and drank diet coke to lower)don't know how I'm supposed to keep it low or anyone when most soaps are around 8-9 and semen 7-8 and then water a 7 wth aggg. I really want to keep doing rephresh as I know that helps but scared to use while prego especially in 1st trimester. going to start my apple cider vinegar bath and back on probiotics wish me luck :( oh and I tried to take an opk just to se a smiliey face(out of hpt) and not 1 but 3 freaking test came up with that stupid error. I read the directions and I've done a million of them I know how to do it and I guess it didn't like my pee so now I'm stressing that:(

Yep over here  I get dry heaves, gagging, but alas nothing. I don't know what is worse honestly. Some days it is so bad I think that I AM going to throw up after all the gagging. Oh and it is constant. 24/7. I have not found anything that really helps but I did find that sea bands took the edge off. A lot of people swear by ginger but it doesn't do a thing for me. Thankfully I am nearing the 12 week mark and I am praying to GOD that I start to feel a bit better.

Hey everyone!! It's taken me a while to find this thread... But I'm here! Got my bfp 2 days ago (9dpo) and I'm due August 16th! I'm thinking I need to make an appointment with my dr soon for some bloods etc. Very exciting!!
Sorry there's so many of you feeling sick! I've already started to feel icky in the mid morning and night. I was ill with ds1 and constantly queasy with ds2, but I'm praying this is as bad as it gets this time (wishful thinking??) ;) I'm still losing weight even though I've been cheating on the diet since ovulation.. And sine bfp been off it completely. I'm hoping that's also a good sign - since with both my boys I put on weight just looking at food...! :)
Do we have a master list of names and due dates?? I might get onto that if not! :)

A bit off topic here but anyone try the prenatal gummies yet? I just bought a bottle from Wal Mart today and I am interested to see how they taste. They have the DHA in them also. But I did read they lack the iron so I am going to have to look into it. May need an additional iron supplement. I will let you ladies know how it goes tonight when I take them.
Also, anyone else feeling crampy and pressure. I think it may just be the uterus stretching but since this is only my second child I kind of forgotten what to expect, lol.

Oh man. I love McDs iced coffee, boo now I wish it wasn't winter, I WANT ONE!! Lol!

Nothing is working for me today. Not snacking, ginger, crackers. Literally nothing. I constantly feel like I'm going to be sick but I don't get sick. I'm just blah.
Sorry Sunflower. I know how you feel honey. Crackers never worked for me either. I am usually very icky in the morning and then at night although I am also nauseous during the day. Snacking helps me momentarily...after I am finished I am right back nauseous. I hate that "I feel like I am going to be sick" but never do feeling! Uggh. Big Hugs Sunflower!!

Yay 3boys....I'm so happy for you :) So glad little one is fine and happy to see you are so excited about this little one. It's so great to watch babies move when we don't even know what they're doing in there :) Yesterday I thought I felt a faint flutter but I think it can't be right? it's too early I suppose, it must have been my intestines :) With my ds, I felt his first movements at 16weeks.

With DS3 I'm sure I felt movements early and when I went for a scan at 13 weeks I asked the sonographer if it was possible and she said yes If you've had more than one. I haven't felt anything yet but it is very early and my placenta is anterior so I don't think this helps.
I will have to post pics but I'm too scared of everyone telling me it's a boy and feeling upset when I've had such a good day lol. I know with Indi (my youngest) I got 100% boy guesses on ingender and some of the comments were quite rude IMO. It totally killed my pregnancy joy for quite some time :(

Aww, 3boys...I'm so sorry you had rude comments on IG last time. What is wrong with people? Well, you know you won't get any rude comments here. I have an idea, though. If you don't want to worry about gender/nubs right now, why not blur out or cut off the nub area, and just post a pic of the baby's profile? We'd all love to see your cute baby, no matter the gender. :)

 Hi everyone! Phew this week has flown by super fast for me. Well I had some spotting again last night. Thankfully I had an appointment this morning anyway. Doctor's keep saying my cervix is super sensitive but mom is saying I need to give my body a break and rest. The spotting is gone except I had a pap and when she took the smear it irritated my cervix and now the spotting is bright red :worry:. I'm sure it will be fine though. Had the doppler today and baby had a hr of 154. The midwife said it may be a girl in there but I am NOT getting my hopes up.
I too feel like I might be feeling flutters but I keep saying it has to be too early. Don't know where my placenta is but I go for my NT next Wednesday so hoping I will find out AND get a nice nub shot  Oh they prescribed me Reglan for my excessive saliva problem but the side effects look kind of daunting so  So how is everyone else doing...besides scan stalking sweetpea?

That was nice! I jumped on here and saw cute babies and lots of lovely congrats!! You are all so sweet and lovely! :)
Well, I'm officially 4 weeks today, the only real symptoms I have is a very heavy/full feeling uterus and a little bit sickly here and there. My boobs are slightly bigger (but it will take a bit to get them back into condition if you know what I mean... ;) ) So yeah, not feeling very pregnant .. And I feel like the time is going at a snails pace... Draaaaaagggggg... ;) I've made a dr appointment for 8weeks (so in a month) and I'll get my bloods done etc. I wanted them to give me an appointment and draw blood next week, but they wouldn't see me before 6 weeks, and that's right over Christmas. So that's not happening! :)
Sorry to hear about our poor sick mummies... Ms is the WORST ever.. I had it bad with ds1 but not so bad with ds2 - just queasy instead of voms... Anyway, hoping to escape it this time - but I'll be lucky if I do. Instead I'm getting headaches. :( ah well.

Sorry to here its dragging Hun. It's worst when your ticker shows the baby to be just cells (before four weeks) I had that ticker with DS3 and remember thinking... Hurry up I want to see a prawn instead lol.

I'm sorry to hear about the spotting, P4P, but it sounds as though your little babe is still doing well. :agree: I think I might have felt one or both of the babies move this week, too, but it's so hard to tell for sure. I felt a couple of the "popcorn popping" type feelings, rather than flutters, and it's stopped me in my tracks. It does feel like early baby movements, but the surprising thing is, I feel them rather high up, which is weird. I keep thinking of how I felt my other two much lower down, but then again, my uterus is already up passed my belly button (which I was told is normal for twins). So, who knows!

Here are the pics! The tech said she could see the very straight line on Baby A, indicating girl, in every position she was in. I should have paid for a DVD, but I declined in the beginning, so she didn't set up the equipment to do so. She was 100% positive Baby A was a girl though, and she looked for a long time. She said no doubt in her mind. I don't know though, after seeing these pics, should I maybe wait to announce to family and friends until our scan in January? The tech said she was 100% sure, but...I don't know, it's just too hard to believe!
Anyway, here's two pics of Baby B (BOY):

Hope your spotting will stop completely but I'm sure that if it was something serious your dr would have told you especially since you just had your doppler session :) We're all gonna have super cute babies :)

My next scan is in exactly two weeks time, it's not a gender scan, we don't get that here. We just go for our normal scan but then gynae would tell us gender. I really hope he'll manage to see gender. I told hubby today that if baby doesn't cooperate and he won't be able to tell us next time, we should fix another appointment for a week or so after. I really can't wait for another 4 weeks after my next scan. I think I'm feeling better at the idea of having a boy but I still need to know as soon as possible :)

Girls correct me if I'm wrong, but if I'm not mistaken when sweetpea went for her last checkup, dr told her that heartbeat of both babies was 160, if this is correct than that means that we don't have to give much importance to heartrate as she's having boy and girl and both had same heartbeat! Mine was 160 too at approx same gestation, we'll see what's cooking in there :)

You don't! It does not work. My girl's heartrate was always lower than my boys' were.

EmmyRoo, CONGRATS on the BFP!! And welcome to the group, we're so glad to have you here! ;)
Dreamingpink, I wouldn't worry one bit about heart rate indicating gender. I think it's just an OWT. I've heard of many women who this theory has been correct for, and just as many who it HASN'T. And FWIW, my babies' heart rates were both very high from the beginning (179 and 164, or something like that), and as they've grown, they've gotten a bit lower AND have kind of stabilized at around the same rate (160). Don't worry yourself over anything that's not proven. I'm still hoping and praying you've got a healthy pink bean in there! ;)

Sweetpea - what are you thinking for names????
Ha, I just said to my hubby last night, "Now we can start talking names!"
I like really girly names (probably because I'm so used to picking boy names ;) ). I also, for some reason, am gravitating towards names that end in "a" or "ana" but I don't know why, I guess I just really like them. So, I've been thinking about: Eliana, Gianna (DS1 was going to be Gianna if he was a girl), Ava, Amelia, Julianna, Annalise (or perhaps spelled Annelise, or Annaliese), Liliana (or Lilliana), Claire, and Sophia. It's SO hard for me though, because I'm such a girly girl and I love so many girl names...but, I only get one shot at it because we're done having kids after these two...so I need to pick my absolute favorite girl name, and make it really count, kwim? I have a feeling I'm going to be wavering on this name for awhile. ;)
For boy names, DH and I both really love Logan. DS2 was almost Logan. That's probably our favorite boy name right now. But I also like: Noah, Owen, Elijah, Joshua, Joel, Nicholas, Jeremiah, and Zachary.
This is fun! What are the names you are all thinking about?

So sorry to hear about your back, MrsP. :( What is it exactly that you're suffering from? I had very bad sciatic nerve pain with both of my pregnancies, and I'm expecting the same again this time around. Is it sciatica that you suffer from?
I have no idea what it actually is, its something i had with both ds2 and ds3. I fell down the stairs years ago (pre kids) and did some pretty nasty damage to my back. It was fine for years then being pregnant really irritated it. It started just before birth with ds2, about 18 weeks with ds3 but never really want away after that pregnancy. When its bad i can't move my legs in certain ways and i have a walk that could rival that bloke out of the usual suspects (my husband loves that film, but the bit a end where kevin spacey walks out of the police station really really limping, then stops and staightens up part way down the road - just like, looks really silly) Nothing too bad though its mostly just inconvenient as opposed to painful but looks like it maybe starting early this time.

Yes I heard this too, I actually had a scan booked for yesterday, but we had to cancel because DH couldn't get away from work. But in the end I am partially happy about it because apparently the difference in accuracy in an early early scan and an 18-20 week scan is substantial! So I am waiting the month, feels like forever though :(

Sweetpea my best friends daughters name is Elianna and we call her Ellie. She was born 3 days after my son and now they are best friends too, lol. Oh and my husband Julian was named after both his grandmothers Julia and Lillian. If we had a girl the first time her name would have been Julianna. Loving all your girl names!!!! Your boy names are awesome too! Quite a few biblical names. LOVE IT!
We are looking at Josiah Landon for a boy. We just decided Joelle for a girl. Still working on middles. Firsts are daunting enough, lol.

I wasn't 12 weeks, I was 13w4d and the babies were measuring 14w1d. From what I've read, if you can get a clear flat nub shot at 13 weeks or after, it's a very good chance of being a girl. But not only did I get a classic girl nub shot last night, the tech was able to get a really good potty shot, clearly showing the 3 lines. She was 100% confident that Baby A is a girl, and she's been doing this for 15 years and hasn't been wrong once yet. I feel pretty good about that. :)

It all depends on whether or not you have a really good tech, if the baby's in a good position, and if you're over 13 weeks. Those things make all the difference! Either way though, I am super excited for your scan - I have such a good feeling for you, cvd! Hopefully the craziness of the holiday season will make you too busy to worry about gender, and then before you know it, your scan will be here! What is the date of it again?

Glad to hear you guys like the name Eliana, that's probably my top pick right now. :agree: I love the nn Ellie, too. I love names that have significant meanings. Both of my boys' names are Hebrew names that mean "Gift of God" (that wasn't planned, I just happened to like both of their names, and they just happened to have the same meaning). Eliana is also a Hebrew name, and it means either "God has heard" or "God has answered" (I've seen both meanings for this name). Either way, it just seems so fitting because I have spent years praying for a daughter, and God has surely heard and answered my prayers. :awe:

Thanks sweetpea! Yes babe is doing ok in there. I want to say now it is a girl because she is keeping me on my toes! Lol. I suppose as long as it stays brown/pink and there is no cramping then I shouldn't worry much. I am getting the NT done Tuesday so I will be able to see how much the little bear has grown since I last saw him/her. The popping I feel is the same as I felt with my son. I'm already convinced it is the baby, lol. Yeah yours probably is too! I think us moms know the difference between our babies and gas!!

As for boys names... Oh my goodness.. Not getting anywhere!! We had Nash Keenan picked, but dh seems to have changed his mind and we can't agree on anything.. That's very odd for us because with both of our boys, I found the names, fell in love with them instantly, and dh loved them too. I'm hoping it's a sign that we won't need a boys name... ;) anyway. The names we have on the "list" are Reid, Shepard, Arden, Quaid and Nash is still there too. I don't "love" any of them, but I think I really like Reid the best.

Hi Ladies, Sorry I haven't been on in awhile, just super busy! I've read back a few pages and I'm all caught up :) Sweetpea-a million congrats! That's such wonderful news!
Congrats to the new BFP's, so nice to have you here. So girls, I'm reeeeeally showing! I'm starting to wonder if the psychic I saw a few months ago was right when she declared that I'd be having twins :worry:

It all depends on whether or not you have a really good tech, if the baby's in a good position, and if you're over 13 weeks. Those things make all the difference! Either way though, I am super excited for your scan - I have such a good feeling for you, cvd! Hopefully the craziness of the holiday season will make you too busy to worry about gender, and then before you know it, your scan will be here! What is the date of it again?
I know! Everyday I try to tell DH let's rebook but he really just wants to wait now. He goes "Well, dear, we both know it's a girl so why do we need to pay for so many early scans?" LOL cause we are even paying for the 18 week one (I heard the guy who does the one that we get at the hospital has had many opposites so not relying on him). And thanks sweetpea! That's so nice to hear!! We have good feelings too but I just want to confirm them haha! DH doesn't get it. And our scan is January 3rd! at 10am, I'll be 18 and a half weeks. It can't come soon enough but as you said, I think the craziness will tide me over!

Jadis - when is your scan?
You had an early BFP didn't you? Maybe it's twins.. Don't want to scare you or anything, but maybe eh? However, I am 10 (!) wks today and showing. I know I'm eating every 2 hrs and that contributes, but I can't suck it in, lol. Only carrying one. I looked at myself in the reflection of the shower door today (naked) and noticed I have no waist it's straight up and down... Hmmmn. I swear I had a waist prior!
How are you doing anyway? XX

Hi Sweetpea!
Just curious as to how they label the babies twin 'A' or 'B'. Is twin 'A' the first to implant? Just wondering if you got your sway girl first KWIM?
Love all your names too. XX

Hey Maple, my NT scan is on Dec.18th and I'll be 13 weeks. I keep trying to remind myself that only one gestational sac was seen at 5 weeks when I was hospitalized with a virus. But....twins could share a sac. I think I've just got that notion in my head, thanks to the creepy psychic, and now only a scan will be able to put it out of my mind.
By the way, I know you asked sweetpea, but I can't help but say that they name twins based on which one is located closest to the cervix. Whoever's closest to the cervix is 'twin A', it's not related to implantation or fetal measurements.
Maple, how are you feeling? I'm finally feeling better! Still a bit tired during the day, but the nausea has really eased off. I only feel a bit sick when I first wake up, once I'm fed and moving, I'm just dandy.
Hope everyone's doing well!

I'm so nervous about Monday. I couldnt sleep last night and it's still 48 hours away. If its a boy I will be so sad, but I know in my heart what I saw was a pointy up nub. I've nubsessed for years now so it's not like I'm knew to it.
I'm just glad you girls won't make me feel like a failure because that's how my family will think. Things like "why did you bother going for a forth you must have known it would be a boy". :(

Oh goodness :( I can understand why you feel like that! I hope the weekend flies by and you hear pink! I really hope people don't make comments like that, that's rude. I'd instantly cry if anyone said that. Any healthy baby is a wonderful gift and never makes a failure. Just think of all the hugs and smiles, boy or girl! Things will go well Monday! I will be checking every 5 mind haha!

Aww 3 boys I'm sorry you couldn't sleep! I have been having dreams of another nature. Last night I dreamed they couldn't find my baby's heartbeat on the Doppler and I had to be rushed in for an u/s! Now I am all freaked out :-( pray that you hear pink on Monday!

Hi, Maple! Yep, Jadis is right - they label the twins 'A' and 'B' according to who is closest to the cervix. :agree: Although, in my case, the babies are more side-by-side, so it's hard to tell which one is closer to the cervix, but the doctors think Baby A is slightly closer.

(((hugs))) to you, 3boys. Of course you would never, ever get insensitive comments like that from us. I know how it is to have family that say awful/insensitive things regarding gender, trust me. I've gotten rude comments from MIL and FIL (and some others) with each pregnancy. My MIL said loudly, when I was pg with DS1, in front of a large group of people, that she was "sick of boys." Gee, thanks. When we told her we were having twins, she said, "If they're two boys, you might as well kill yourself now!" Wow. I can't believe how some people just have no filter to their thoughts at all. The sad thing is, even though I'm pg with a girl this time around, I *am* still bringing another boy into this world, and I know I will be getting weird/rude/insensitive comments about the twins. Personally, I'm thrilled about BOTH of the babies in my womb, and very excited to meet both of them. But I know I will encounter annoying comments none-the-less. It's sad, but sometimes, you just can't avoid it, no matter what gender you're carrying, you know? People always find something stupid to say. :(
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know that you are SO not alone in this. Whether you're having a boy or girl, we are totally here for you, 100%. We all totally "get" the whole gender desire/disappointment thing, so if it's a boy and you feel the need to vent, we will be here to listen and lend a shoulder to cry on. Anything you need. And if it's a girl, you better believe we'll all be here to celebrate with you!! :)
Best of luck to you, my dear. And big (((hugs)))! I'll be thinking of you on Monday! :)

WTF is wrong with people!!!!! 3Boys i will get that to, makes it even harder to accept this little boy when i not only have to fight my own gd but everyone elses to.
I think cvd has the right idea - cry, really really loud - shame on them and hopefully they'd feel that.
Seriously though why say those things to a hormonal pregnant woman about the precious new life she's just created - they are headed for a slap (and at least you could blame it on the hormones). I mean really if you turned around and went "i know we are so disappointed, but don't worry we have booked an appointment next week to get rid of him, i mean how dare he have a penis" they'd sure have something anti abortion to say. I think they expect you to get all embarrassed and disappointed, almost sorry for letting people down - i'm sick of trying to put a brave face on - its been 8 years of these comments and i am so happy with my boys and beam with pride for them but still its the first thing people say to me and i am sick of it, i can't take anymore

Ah, I never knew re twin A/B locations.. Although I never really considered twins much until this baby..
Glad your not too bad with MS... I seem to have some better days now, but still vomiting. Usually as soon as I get out of bed. DS2 was snuggling in bed with me this morning and I ran to the window to be sick. Later that morning I caught him pretending to be sick out his bedroom window! Lol. Hmmn.. He's only 2. I think by 12/13 wks I will feel a lot better.
My next scan is 27 Dec - I will be 12+5.. I'm nervous, but looking forward to it.
Yours is coming up soon! Very exciting. Are you hoping for a good nub shot to guess on? Do you think you might have a girl cooking in there?

ah, I go back and forth on wanting a nub shot. I'm not sure that nubsessing for a couple of months would be in my best interest. Whoever's in there is in there and I'll love them all the same. That said, my gut instinct is just screaming 'boy', maybe that's because I just can't let myself hope too much. I'm just afraid of the day when my instincts are confirmed and I have to come to grips with the fact that I'm never going to have a daughter of my own. That'll be a tough day. It must be so nice to be pregnant without a gender preference, I'm envious of people who are having their first or just genuinely don't care about gender.
By the way, it's so funny that your little man pretended to be sick out of his window! Kids are a riot! I really hope you get to feeling well soon.

Jadis I hear ya honey! My gut is also screaming boy and there was no doubt in my mind because 1. We didn't sway, 2. We used preseed because it was taking so dang long to get pregnant and 3. I couldn't decide on ANY girl names. That was all up until this week when I found a girl name that I loved and hubby agreed right away. At that moment I began to get a little hopeful that maybe just maybe a little girl is in there after all. Heck everyone else seems to think so anyway. We will be here IF your instincts are confirmed but praying we both get a pleasant surprise.

Great sway violet - you have just as much chance as the rest of us. Doing anything different is good and i bet all the relaxing you did on your honeymoon also swayed girl for you big time.
3Boys hope your scan goes ok tomorrow, i know exactly how your feeling, part of you is dying to know, the other part wants to keep the dream going for a while. I remember it so clearly from ds3's scan but i really am glad i found out. Baby is already whatever it is going to be (despite the feelings of, maybe if i wait i'll get lucky) so why not know. Stats of a four boys are only like 9% or one in ten really so are in your favour, maybe tomorrow you will be living the dream.
