Mum to three girls
March 1st, 2013, 06:53 AM
Mine isn't until the 21st and I'll be 12 +3 but only just on 12 based on ovulation dates. So it might not be clear either way. In order of "degree of worry" I'm most concerned about :
1) the baby being healthy without any suggestion of chromosomal abnormalities (I'm 39).
2) having twins
3) the gender.
So if I'm only focused on obsessing about the nub in three weeks then things are going well.
Will you have a gender scan? I won't but my ob will likely see me between 12 and 20 weeks and her guesses are pretty good.

I'm really hoping I get a nub shot today showing a boy nub - that way I can get on with mourning.

It's at 4pm GMT, and I'm starting to feel really nervous :nails:
I would love to get a nub shot but the scanners here are generally VERY grumpy and if you say anything about the gender they get even more difficult.

I'm really enjoying seeing all the pics of everyone's cute little beans! I've finally been able to book my first u/s for Monday March 11, I'll be just over 14 weeks. I'm so darn excited to see my baby!
Salsa- I agree that looks pretty promising for pink!
Northern- I'm sorry you're feeling down. Seeing your little wiggle worm will certainly cheer you up. Can't wait to see pics, good luck!

Hi All,
Currently hiding out in the loos so I can put this on. Baby perfect, sucked its thumb the whole time! Thought I saw a girly nub but sonographer thought there was boy bits. This is the best shot I have

Northern, I was thinking about you today. I have no idea if that is a nub that you cycled. If so, it definately looks very girly to me. But I am so confused about nubs anyhow.
But seriously, how can the sonographer see any boy parts at this early stage?? I thought they couldn't be there yet. As I said, I am so confused about all this.
I just hope that you are carrying your girl, despite of what everyone says.
Salsa, looks girly to me too. Congratulations :flowerz:

Yes absolutely, my only concern was my baby being healthy. I didnt even want a nub shot. But I guess Im happy I got one now. Its fun to guess, I just have to keep reminding myself that perfect looking girl nubs can infact still turn out to be boys and vice versa!!
No we arent going to find out the gender at all! So its going to be a long 6 months!! haha especially when everyone will be finding out around me!!

Ahhhh such a long wait wanting pink lol.... Fingers are crossed for you :)
So I have been going through my ridiculous amount of baby clothes separating unisex from boys and wow ds3 would have been dressed so well if he dint grow so flipping fast... He was born at basically 9lbs a week early and only fit 0-3 month for literally 10 days! So any ways looking through all the clothes he didn't really wear I started wanting a boy... Now I don't know if I've made a mistake basically planning for a boy cause I have picked his name only looked at boy things.... I have not took a glimpse at anything related to a baby girl... So now as crazy as this sounds if I go to my gender u/s and hear girl am I gonna feel like I lost a son? I talked to DH and he thnks I'm crazy!

Yes Fish I am due Aug 24th but I really don't feel like I have anything in common with the people in that thread (June, July, Aug). Maybe if they had an Aug thread I would feel like I have more in common with them. Since this baby was a surprise I didn't really know anyone on that thread and by the time I got over there, there were some awful miscarriages going on. I felt so bad for some of the stories and the girls on there and it was scaring the crap out of me!! It was kind of hard to jump in on that thread and be like "hi there I am PG" when people were having 2nd trimester miscarriages left and right. Seems like you all were more on the "same page" as I was. Hope it is okay if I hang out in here:)
3 more hours to go... tick tock tick tock... so painful!!

11 more days... that isn't too long!! GL!!
So my main symptom that I would say was different is I feel very hormonal!! With my boys I didn't get angry like I do now. I would get more weepy and cry every once in awhile but this time there are no tears, just anger. I will go from 0 to 10 in two seconds. My poor kids:(
My MS has been very different also. With the boys I was very sick for 7 months. This time around my MS has almost lifted and I feel (dare I say) good at 15 weeks. With my boys I remember still feeling very sick at my 20 week scans and almost puking after my glucose tolerance test.
Also, with my boys I would get hot very easy. At first it was my feet that would be hot then it was me all the time. It seems like with this baby I am freezing all the time!! I always have multiple layers on and live under blankets. I also have an electric blanket that I heat the bed up before I get into bed at night.
With the boys I had a crazy good sex drive but with this baby I could care less if DH touches me. Poor guy:)

Thank you for sharing! It's so neat how every pregnancy is different and we don't really know for sure if it's just a random thing or if it's because of the baby's gender.
Just based on symptoms, I'd swear this baby is a girl but I've read enough anecdotal evidence to know that in general, it doesn't mean anything.
I just got the cutest still out of my video. No gender clues but it's adorable and I thought I'd share. :awe:

Your symptoms sound loads like mine. I am much more grumpy this time feels like permanent pmt, with boys I felt pretty good! Also with my boys one of my first pregnancy signs was hot flushes, this time I'm always freezing! I'm like u always wrapped up in my dressing gown! Also I have no sex drive at all, my partner was moaning to me yesterday and comparing it my previous pregnancies when we had more sex. Also I've never had morning sickness but this time I'm more queasy! Praying for pink, 12 week scan is on the 18th x

Congrats WantingPink! I hope lots more of us get that added excitement of getting our DG. I have my first ob visit today and she'll do a quick scan, hopefully there's only one in there. Four seems busy but manageable but five would tip me over, I think!
For those with different symptoms who have previously had boys, I had moderate all day sickness with my previous three pregnancies and none this time. I know it's all just OWT stuff but it gives me something to get excited about until my proper scans.

Yay no twins! Still ages till my nuchal though (it's on the 21st.) I tried to get my ob to check my placental location (even though I'm not sure about Ramzi's research, given it's not been peer reviewed or reproduced) and apparently it's midline and posterior. So no gender clues!

ah see this is my worry i'm gonna spend the next four weeks convicing myself i'm having twin girls perfect each has a sister, 2 piegon pairs its the perfect outcome
it's a long way to fall when i hear two boys which is probably what

Ugh with luck, I'll be the one to hear BOY! I mean I don't even have the luck to get a dr that does a 12 week scan!! I know I need to stop being negative, it's just one of those days! Sorry!

I haven't been active on this thread, but I want to change that! Hello everyone!! I don't think I ever gave an introduction. My name is Lauren and I have 2 boys. Surprise baby #3 is due September 16th. I suffered gd pretty bad with DS2. I was hesitant to even have another child because of all those feelings but here I am. It took months to conceive my boys (DS1 I wasn't really trying b/c I was only 18 but we definitely were throwing caution to the wind often, lol). I was shocked that one oopsie resulted in this pregnancy- I know it only takes one time, just not usually for me. My 8 year old insists this baby is a girl. He was right with his brother so I'm hoping he's right again. Lately though I've been having a boy feeling. I paid to get an early u/s with DS2. This time I don't really want to know.. I do but I don't, if you kwim. I think what makes it a little harder this time is my DH has a preference. He wants a little girl. I didn't even know this until he was looking at the Ramzi theory and obsessing over my u/s pic. I really hope we aren't all disappointed. :( Anyway, just wanted to hop on here and share my feelings. It feels good to talk to others who can relate. :)

I'm feeling a little negative today, I'm excited for all the ladies who seem to have girl nubs and those of you who have a confirmed girl, truly I am, but I feel like someone is gonna be let down, statistically we can't all get our DG can we?? Ugh with luck, I'll be the one to hear BOY! I mean I don't even have the luck to get a dr that does a 12 week scan!! I know I need to stop being negative, it's just one of those days! Sorry!
I'm sorry you are feeling down! I really, really hope you are pregnant with a girl. I've been having a boy feeling too. Maybe it's just a defense mechanism for both of us?
I won't have a 12 wk u/s either. I'm ok with it though. I'm in that ignorance is bliss stage. lol!

I know how you feel...most of the votes I got on our baby's nub are for boy so I have been trying to prepare myself for that but haven't made any progress. I also know several lovely 3-boy families so it helps to know that it's not just happening to "me." Obviously it's not but I also know many more families who ended up with the opposite gender after having two of the same. Ah pity party. But since you haven't even had a nub shot yet, there's a lot more hope for you! I just saw you're in Columbus. I am right down the road in Dayton, haha. I'm confused that you're not offered an NT scan?! I thought that was standard practice by now?!
I hope your day gets better, hang in there.

Hi Lauren and congratulations on your new baby! It seems as though there are quite a few of us on here with boys and dreaming of pink. Our 3rd wasn't a surprise, we really wanted to have one more, but now I wish we would have tried to sway for pink. This is definitely our last baby though and it doesn't help that my DH also wants a little girl. My older son also insists that this baby is another boy whereas the little 2-year-old dude keeps saying it's a baby sister, lol. I booked a private scan for March 14th, so we'll know soon. Part of me thinks like you....ignorance is bliss. But if it's indeed a third boy, I want to know asap so I can move on and get excited. Because little boys are really really awesome. :bluecheer:

I do feel the same... I am happy or everyone getting their dream gender but statistically every confirmed girl reduces my chance... I have bad luck too.... But maybe I should be the one to get a boy cause I think I will b ok :)

So did you get your scan rescheduled? Hoping you got it for closer to 12-13 weeks. You need to get better at telling the white lies to get what you want:) I know that sounds awful however, when it comes to getting the US scan I will exaggerate certain things to get one:) You know that no matter what anyone else gets on this thread it doesn't increase or decrease your changes for a DD. Hang in there... I know the waiting is awful. You should look into some private scan places that will do a gender determination at 15 weeks:) It will give you something to look forward to and it will make your 20 week scan more enjoyable:) Hope you have a better day!

Hi and welcome!! I just wanted to give you a little hope. I too had a one time "oops" PG with this baby and after two boys it is definitely looking like this little one is a girl so it can happen!! I too NEVER allowed myself to think of this baby as a girl. I didn't even think about girl names. We had a boy name all picked out that I was quite happy with and then... girl!! GL and I hope you get your girl!!

I just haven't scheduled the ultrasound yet, I'm gonna delay it as long as I can, I'm worried if I call to reschedule they will try to pressure me into going in earlier, so I'm just not going to call for at least 2 weeks. I'm terrible at the white lies so I just avoid situations that require them.... Lol! We cannot afford the 15week private scan. I think as soon as the weather gets nicer, and my 1st trimester is over (ugh all the morning sickness,laziness/exhaustion, and headaches that I've had during the 1st trimester) then my 2nd trimester will be nice and 20 weeks will come before we know it! My mom is coming to stay with us from may until the baby comes in sept!!! I'm so excited to see her and have her here! I haven't seen her in over a year! My boys are elated to see their Gammy soon!

Welcome to the new ladies, the more the merrier!!!
So exciting that we have several ladies finding out soon (and one already confirmed!). I'm leaning more and more to getting a potty/nub shot at my ultrasound next week. I know the 14th week can be tricky but I may take my chances. On the other hand I may chicken out and stay team green.
Thorz, you look so cute! My belly is beyond huge and has been for quite some time. I too lost a lot of weight in the months before getting pregnant (was 89 lbs when I got my bfp) but am more than making up for it now that I've got my appetite back!

So I went to my 14-week appointment this afternoon and my OB talked to me about the small amount of tricuspid regurgitation they found on the baby's heart. She said that even though my Down Syndrome risk came back at 1:5100, if I wanted to, we could also do the MaterniT21 for more peace of mind (which I'm all for it since we had a little big of a scare with DS1). So they are checking with my insurance now (Tricare) and if it's covered, I'll go ahead and do it! This also means that I could possibly find out the gender with certainty within the next 7-10 days. I would cancel my private scan at 16 weeks (10 days from today and save $100. :)

Hi Shiningstar!
Thorz, you are so petite! I know it's hard not to be superstitious but other people hearing pink does not in any way reduce your own chances. If everyone who wanted a girl was hearing boy you'd probably be equally worried that there was a "blue streak" happening!

I'm a bit stressed about it too. I was sure this baby was a boy with my BFP but now I've pretty much changed my mind. I like the idea of not looking but I won't be able to help myself so I hope the nub is obvious! Pictures can be confusing depending on the curl in the spine etc so I'm sure I'll be glued to the screen. I'll only be 12 weeks though so if it is girly ill easily be able to talk myself into thinking it may just be too early for a decent nub rise
It would be great, in a way, just to be told now what gender this baby is so I could stop thinking about it and just enjoy this last pregnancy.

Yup I was hoping that if it was a boy that I would get a perfect boy nub just so I could know....but no now I'm so back and forth it sucks....
I read a study yesterday I am going to try and find the link! Saying that a big amount of breast growth means girl and I have been complaining to DH to go buy me new bras cause I'm falling out of the one that were too big for me before lol... And with my oys mine didn't grow till after the baby came.... So it was an interesting read with some scientific back up

I'd love to see that study! It would give me some hope, haha. For some reason, I also thought that I would end up with a very clear-cut nub, but alas, that's not the case. Now I've been nubsessing since Feb 22 and I regret looking for that nub during the ultrasound and taking a dvd home with me. I would still be obsessed wondering about the sex of the baby, but at least my eyes wouldn't be glued to a screen for hours on end every single night. :sigh:

Haha, thanks! I just talked to a nurse and she said she is still "working on it." She did schedule my 18-week Level II ultrasound for April 4th. And my elective scan is 8 days away but I am paranoid that at barely 16 weeks, the results may be ambiguous and I'll be obsessing even more.

I would definitely get one!! But it all depends on the u/s tech. I had a GREAT tech who knew that gender was what I was there for so he really spent a lot of time getting a great shot. He also prided himself on having a 100% track record and he has done over 20,000 scans!! He also said that if for any reason he couldn't tell 100% that I could come back in a week and he would take another look. He said that he would rather us come back then get it wrong. If you want one I would go for it but I would ask them if they are willing to do a gender at 16 weeks and if they can't tell what the gender is what will they do for you. One of the places I was looking at I asked this question and they said "we have never had that happen" meaning they can always tell. To me that was a big red flag because baby doesn't always behave so then they are guessing at the gender. 16 weeks should also be more conclusive than 15 weeks. It is more common for boys to turn into girls than girls turn into boys at that age. I would also be insistent on them showing you girl parts if there are lack of boy parts. Just because there aren't boys parts doesn't mean it is a girl... girls have parts too!!
Mine has really given me piece of mind and I am no longer tossing and turning at night wondering and stressing all day. It was worth every penny! Plus now I feel like I can enjoy the anatomy scan.

Not even close, I am so tired and exhausted I can barely move and /or take care of my boys!
I really hope boob growth has nothing to do with the sex of the baby because mine have never gotten bigger with any of my boys, or this one. But then again my boobs are messed up, I got a breast reduction at age 19 but the dr really hacked me and the scars where really awful and they were too small and pancake shaped lol, so at 26 I got a breast augmentation to fix that 1st dr's mistakes. So I can't breast feed and don't really even get much milk in at all, so maybe that's why mine don't grow at all! I hope anyway!

I finally made an appt for my scan it is wed march 27 I'll be 13 weeks 2 days! I'm not going to ask for a nub shot but I am going to record video of the whole thing. If I see one, then I see one.

:sigh:
I think I won't get the DVD, for this reason. I'm a pretty obsessive type person and I won't be able to stop watching!
My breasts have barely grown so far but they didn't really with the girls either.

Wow - Everytime I come in here it takes me ages to catch up and then I have no idea what to comment on lol!!
I also read that study on boobs a few days ago - gave me abit of hope because I got alot of growth early with my 2 girls and no far iv only gone up a cup size.
But my scull shape is girly and there was no nub shot. So its 50/50 right now!
Im abit jealous that you ladies can get early gender scans - In New Zealand we dont have the antimony scan untill 19 weeks. Thats still nearly 5 weeks away for me!

Well for $60 I would... I would also study up on what 16 week girl and boy parts should look like. From what I understand and looked at as long on you get the right angle (with femur bones in view) you should see boy parts relatively easy and girl parts will look like three dots (or lines if you get the right angle). I would make it clear to them that the reason why you are booking it this early is for a gender check. That way hopefully, they won't get you in the scan and then not take a good long look for you. How long of a scan is it for $60??

Anybody here had a psychic gender prediction? I just had 2 and they both said boy next girl 4th! But I really don't want more than 3 and was praying I'd have pink this time! I have 2 boys already. I know it's not 100% but I can't help but feel slightly disappointed! Wish I'd never had them! Anyone else had any ?..

I had one done by Cara, she said I'd just had a baby (well, it was 2.5 years earlier!), that I'd lost a close male influence recently (not lost anyone recently, only ever my Nanna) and that I'd get a positive result in November and it would be a boy (positive result was in December and I don't know if its a boy), I hope she's wrong there too.

Okay so tell me what you think... There is an u/s place literally down the street that does gender at 18 weeks the one I was going to go to is a 40 min drive... Since when I'm 16 weeks my baby will measure 17 weeks could I tell a bit of a fib without getting caught if I said I was 18 weeks when infant I would be 16

My baby measured 4 days ahead so I scheduled my elective for when I am 16 weeks according to that, instead of the "official" due date (which would have me at 15+3 at the time of the scan). They normally only start gender determination scans at 16 weeks.
So if I were you, I'd probably go ahead and do it, unless you are too hesitant about it being accurate at 16-17 weeks. I'm assuming I am having another boy and DS2's potty shot at 15+3 was undeniable!

In Canada it's apparently illegal to do it before 18 at an elective u/s although the one place would do it at 16 but m skeptical of their experience the other place is very recognizable and more trustable so I would prefer to go with them and they are closer to me also
Northern_Shutterbug
March 7th, 2013, 11:59 AM
This one is measuring 4 days ahead, so could probably go when I'm 16+1 and it would be measuring 16+6 (which is past their minimum 16+2) but if for any reason it isn't, then I have to go back and pay 50% again, so just going to wait the extra week.
Can you not go to the closer one but a week later? You'll see more and it'll be more accurate.

Aww that does stink! I'm very picky about my boys' hair too. They all have long hair but of course it needs to be trimmed and shaped once in a while. There is only one place I will go (they specialize in kids cuts). They are more expensive than most places but well worth it for a good cut. I think boy names are really hard, mostly because I've already used the ones I like and only have a few left that I would consider. I don't even think about girl names. My 3 boys are Ethan (6) Liam (4) and Seth(2) the names I still kind of like are Trey, Tate, Beck, or Greyson (we would call him Grey) I really like trey and wanted to name Seth Trey but my husband was set on Seth the problem is Trey means 3rd born so if I care about meaning, trey won't work for my 4th son.

Argh, almost secretly booked an earlier gender scan, as I'm so desperate to know! It would be only 12 days away! But there's three reasons I can't do it:
1, my husband already thinks I'm mad enough as I've changed the date twice,
2, I'd be 15+6 by my dates and 16+3 by scan dates, but if they find you're less than 16+2 they send you home and you have to pay 50% again to be rescanned
3, I'd be constantly worried that if it did say girl that it would be wrong that early!

I love how everyone shared their boy names. That's great inspiration!
--Wanting-a-girl, Evan is actually one name that both DH and I like. We aren't crazy about it but I think we could end up with it and be happy. I can't use any lovely boy names like Seth (that contain a "th") because I am from Europe and my family and friends will kill me because that sound is really hard to pronounce for them. And I'd have to listen to them butcher the name.
I DO like Lennon. I mentioned it to DH and it got shot down, lol. As far as the girl names go, I like Harper the best.
--Thorz: I know a pair of brother that are named Liam and Cooper. Maybe you'd like Cooper? They call him Coop at home, which I think is super cute.
--Northern: I'd book the earlier scan if I were you. I'll be 15+3 at mine and I do share your worries about them wrongly predicting a girl...but on the other hand I think it's a boy anyway for me and it'll be clear as day.

I'm sure dreams don't really mean much but I know they can affect us. Ugh I'm starting to worry that something might be wrong. I have no real reason, it's just because I've never gone this long without seeing the baby! Also my morning sickness and exhaustion are getting better, I know that could be due to the fact I'm nearing the end of the first trimester, but I've also heard a sign of mc is the loss of symptoms like ms and exhaustion. I don't have a history of mc I've never had one but there is always a first time for everything! Has anyone else waited until the 13th week before seeing the baby or even being seen by a dr? I did see the nurse practitioner and had my blood drawn at 9 weeks 3 days and it all came back normal. I'm getting anxiety over going this long without seeing the baby and now wondering if I should move my scan up a bit.
I understand how you feel. I will be 14+2 when I have my first OB visit and u/s! It's only because of a huge insurance snafu (long story that I won't bore anyone with). I know it's hard to wait for that reassurance of seeing the baby but I'm sure everything is fine. My first tri symptoms always began to fade around 9-11 weeks with my others. This one is the only one that has lasted into my 2nd tri.
EDIT: Just read on through the posts and saw about your cramping. I had some backache type cramps around that time too so hopefully it's just growth as Wanting said. Hope they're better tomorrow and all is well!

For those of you who are having their last pregnancy what is your plan for birth control?
My DH is getting the big V done...there is no way I'm havin more than four kinds I think four is a huge stretch to begin with but figured I would give ezra a sibling close in age...
We have discussed it some but haven't decided just yet. DH says he will consider getting the snip but I'm also willing to look at other options too (don't want a tubal though). It's been so long since I've used any kind of BC that I don't even know what's out there lol.

Thorz, I hope you are feeling better by now! Are you taking magnesium for the cramps? It really seems to help. But please get checked by a doctor. Like the others said, better be safe than sorry. Although don't worry too much. AF cramps are pretty common as far as I know. The uterus is growing and the feeling of that is just like AF cramps.
Hope you will be feeling better soon!

Thorz how are you feeling today, I spent 5hrs in a&e on Thursday due to cramping following twisting my back lifting ds2, labour ward told me to go in and see obstetrician. After 5hrs saw regular a&e dr who could only check my back and said obstetrician wouldn't see me till 20 weeks. Had a bit of an emotional moment and she booked me for a scan on Friday am both bubbas okay! Phew!
Guess I'm saying peace of mind is worth a lot even thou drs can't do much at this stage xxx

Hey guys
Honestly wouldn't worry too much re not seeing baby till 12 weeks or not seeing an obstetrician yet, here we only have scan at 12 weeks, no blood work at all and don't see obstetricians at all so sure you'll be okay
I'm seeing an obstetrician for first time ever at 18 weeks as its twins ;-s

Thorz make sure you rest! I have had pretty much no morning sickness with this baby and I admit it was a relief to have a quick scan with my ob. Before that I was wondering whether the whole pregnancy was even real or not...
Fish - there's something so special about identical twins.
Northern, my nuchal is on the 21st as well although is Aussie so before yours. I hope my baby looks healthy and your baby is a girl! I'd also be happy with a really boyish nub but I'll go for healthy first.
DH and I have talked about the big V after this baby and he's keen. Prior to that we'd had a hormonal IUD which I didn't love but was OK but he could feel the string (sorry if TMI) and overall I think it's his turn to be in charge of contraception. I had a C-section after two normal deliveries for DD3 (she was breech) and although I'm aiming for another normal delivery if I end up having another section I'll get a tubal ligation at the same time.
Four is enough for us. We were always going to stop at 3, the problem is that having DD3 four years after DD2 seemed a bit unfair once she was here. My big girls are only 19 months apart and are best friends. There'll be about the same age gap between this baby and DD3 so she can have a childhood friend as well.

I'm better, thanks ladies, still a bit cramps but there is still no bleeding so I'm just taking it easy today! I'm quite exhausted so im gonna take a nap when the DS3 goes down for his nap. I'm starting to think the cramping may have been caused by over doing it yesterday, I was framing out an entry way in my Living room/dining room, so I was cutting a bunch of stuff with a saw and moving a big air compressor and dealing with a nail gun! I was getting so stressed because it wasn't going as well as the last one, when I finally decided to take a break, I crashed and slept for 2 hours! When I woke up I was super crampy. Now that I've been continually resting and drinking a lot of water, it's slowly getting better. I guess no more big projects on my own lol!

Oh my gosh that's so soon fx they get a good view! Agh are you gonna take your boys? We're gonna have to but think I might ask tech to use words they won't understand! Oldest only just three so think we can get away with it!

Yes, we're taking the boys but I've designed a card that the sonographer can fill in, so they won't actually say what baby is. They'll do all of the potty shots without putting the viewing screen on, then we'll have the 4d part avoiding the potty area.
Then we're going out for dinner at the restaurant where OH and I had first date, and where I went into labour with DS2. Thats where we'll open the card! I'm hoping it'll bring good luck in some way!
That's the plan anyway! No doubt it'll go wrong in some way!

My tech was awful I couldn't even see the screen besides when I arched my neck right back, then he would tell me not to move! I asked him about a nub shot and he said he didn't know what I was talking about... But I found one anyway (not that I'm happy about it now :( I'm almost certain its another boy!) he put a potty shot in cause that's what he thought I meant... It's very flat but useless at 13 weeks right?

Girls -- my elective scan is on Thursday at 11am!!!! Every hour seems like an eternity now. I would love more guesses but I feel foolish bumping my thread when some people seemed very adamant about it being a boy. Even though I still see some very girly moments in that video.
I've been trying to distract myself with house projects. Thorz--that's mighty impressive. No wonder you felt crampy afterwards. I can understand your worries. I was way more paranoid this time around simply because part of me thinks that after two healthy boys, something is *bound to go wrong.* But it's not healthy to think that way. Could you guys possibly invest in a doppler? I have the sonoline b that I got from amazon when I was pregnant for the very first time and I have been able to hear all three babies' heartbeats starting around 9 weeks 3 days. So reassuring!

That's such a good idea, we really cannot afford a new fetal monitor, but I can look on Craigslist, or eBay and hopefully find one for under $50 that would really help ease my worries if I can listen to the heartbeat on my own.
