no kidding. She dropped a little more Friday and I had some temporary relief because her head wasnt directly on my pelvic bone. But when she dropped further it came back now I feel it in my tailbone!

How nice Linz :) I hope you had a great time.
How are you feeling Nahri?
I'm feeling a little nervous. The wife of an old school friend had her baby today (bub was overdue). They are sending them home because they have no beds available! That is so wrong!
I'm also feeling a little worried. Dh has come down heavy with what appears to be the flu. Let's hope the flu shot I had covers me. Problem is, he is self employed. Hopefully he is feeling better soon and not so stubborn that he doesn't rest tomorrow. He is in bed right now.

It's been a couple weeks again for me checking in. But I'm finally caught up and so excited for the upcoming babies! Nahri, I'm thinking of you!
I saw that some of you ladies also had to have pitocin during one or more of your labors. I had it for my first son because my water broke and slowly leaked so they sent me home, then it had been so long it was either make me take pitocin or a C section. I said no way- give me the pitocin and lets do this. It was a very hard labor, lots of back labor. I don't do epidural a, either so it was wretched pain. And he was face up until the last minute when he flipped, which dropped mine and his heart rate so low that there was a sudden rush of every nurse and dr to my bedside and I passed out for a moment. Well, he finally made it out. My second and third DS were much easier me quicker. My OB did tell me that this baby is bigger like my first, so I m hoping that delivery is still easier being the 4th.
I have been hving a LOT of pressure on my pelvic bone, my cervix are even feels sore and I have been extremely uncomfortable for the entire day today with Braxton hicks...at least they aren't too intense yet for me to think its impending labor. I could hardly move all day when I wanted to without discomfort. I was folding laundry, but trying to just take it easy after the past two days of being gone to parties and so maybe my body was just tired. I am 35 weeks today and I think that I might go early...I have never had them this often for such a long period of time with any of my previous pregnancies, so I just don't know. Also, part of my mucus plug came out yesterday, which could mean nothing but I cannot believe it's almost time!
I am so excited for everyone here too and I hope that all of the labor and deliveries go well for all of you!

Business woman-have you used lanolin before while breastfeeding? It does help, but also the latch that baby has can cause it. I had to use nipple shields with mine for a while to help. The trick is not to get the baby dependent on the nipple shield. So I alternated it every other feeding or less often to help mine get a good latch and to build their jaw strength. Then I weaned them from use of the nipple shield as well. It did help a lot!

Apparently she was pulling my leg about being born early. Total false labor. What a little brat LOL. She slept her entire NST today again too.
business. Sometimes its positioning. Too much tug means more damage. I had to football hold DS to even get him to latch properly and to not do damage. If you are on the more endowed side like I am its so much easier on both you and bubs. Just put a pillow under your arm. Use lanolin after every feeding, the gel pads for healing cracks can help before each feeding so you dont have any pain if you do crack or get sore. If you did the football before and still got damaged, find a new position where there is not so much pull.

Boysway- our hospital have been incredibly busy of late and have turned away two people I know in labour saying they need to go to the next hospital. This terrifies me!!! It's meant to be our safe place but not feeling very relaxed about it. If I wasnt a high risk pregnancy then I would have a home birth. Unfortunately I've had pre-e with both boys and likely to again. I e got a growth scan tomorrow which I'm looking forward too sing the baby again followed by my consultant appointment. Hoping I won't be told that I'll be induced again.

totally forgot to post this. I didnt get the video because my 3 year old killed my phone battery but I did manage one photo. This is the skull as if you were viewing it from the top down. Also goes to show you why some people ask for what type of ultrasound was done for ramzi. Her head is fully in my pelvis and this was not done vaginally. This is what can be accomplished by turning the angle of a abdominal ultrasound. The white streaks on the top of the skull and the sides are her hair waving around. Shes got LOTS if you think about that to scale!

Have had a growth scan today, everything looked good and normal apart from she is measuring small. So I've got another scan in 2weeks time. Anybody else measuring bigger or smaller? They said if she carries on growing but just a bit smaller then they are not concerned but if she isn't growing much at all then I need to have steroid injections to develop her lungs. So altho I shouldn't worry at this point I have to say I can't help but be a little concerned :(

Remember Ugee ultrasound measurements can be off so can fundal height measurements. But if they are WAYYYY off then be concerned. If you are 30 measuring 28-29 or even ahead 31-32 its kinda here nor there. But if you are supposed to be 30 and measuring 24 you may need extra monitoring and scans possibly NSTs etc. Ultrasound weight equals head circumfrence, crown to rump or crown to heel, and circumference of the abdomen of baby. By these measurements they say that is how big baby is. With DS they said he was going to be HUGE oh no c-section blah blah. had him at almost 10lbs on the scan using that formula. He was 7.2 lol
Ugee
May 28th, 2015, 05:49 AM
Thanks, just wanted to know it's not just me. Both boys measured at target but then they are boys. I just don't want any added stress and keep thinking everything in the ultrasound was fine so I'm not worrying.
Someone I know was told their baby would be 11lb12!!! So she opted for a section. Her baby was big but not as big, she weighed 10lb10.

So true! I have a cousin who had a vaginal birth with DD1 and then OBGYN said she thought DD2 would be huge so she pushed a c-section. Her DD2 was like 8lbs. I would have been furious. Having major abdominal surgery all because of someone's speculation! NOT cool!!

Ugee I measured small throughout this pregnancy and at my growth scan 2 weeks before I had her she was measuring at 6 pound 13oz. She came out at 6 pound 11oz, 2 weeks later. Another friend was told her baby was teeny tiny he measured 7lbs on her due date a week later she had a strapping 8lbs 5oz! So yeah they can be a little out. You might just be having a smaller baby like I was which after 9lbs and 8lbs boys was rather a nice surprise!
Try not to worry I'm sure she is perfect! Xx

Ugee, my last two girls measured small. In fact dd#3 was measuring at least 2 weeks behind at the 34 week scan. As a result with dd#3 & dd#4 I had extra ultrasounds and ctg's with both of them. Dd#3 ended up being 8 lb 2 oz and dd#4 was 6lb 4oz.
I had my 32 week gp appointment yesterday. I'm measuring at 33 1/2 weeks. I'm keen to see how bub measures up at my 34 week scan on the 10th of June.

It's funny really because all babies come out different weights! I guess it's just making sure they keep growing no matter how big or little they are that's important.
I had an appisiotomy with my DS1 and then naturally tore with my DS2. The natural tear was easier to heal and faster. So hoping that 3rd time lucky with nothing lol!

Well here we go again. 1 hour apart real contractions and now slowing down again. I had them check me today and I'm at 4cm. I know it could happen different this time but with DS I delivered 4 days later. She didn't tell me my effacementer percentage only that the cervix was favorable and she'd strip the membranes if I wanted. I declined that. The cervix check alone is more than I can stand for pain by itself.

And these are full on around the back and down the legs so I know it's not braxton Hicks. Serious dd get out lol

We joked for the longest that if I went into labor on May 31 that if it was 11:59pm that doctor was going to wait one full minute before pulling her out so that way she would still be a June baby hahaha no such luck yet Just another long day of 1hr apart contractions. I never had this with DS. Goes to show you every one is different!

I don't know for sure Sarah but it sure feels like it with me too.
I have had so much trouble with inhaling food, I don't mean eating fast. I am eating more than usual because I am pregnant and all my neck muscles seems super relaxed...actually all my muscles feel super relaxed, which will come in handy during labor but not so much when I am trying to function day to day.
Hang in there. Good luck!

Aw Happy it is good to see and hear from you! You have a cute bump and you are all baby!! I understand your feelings as well. The hardest thing for me was the comments of strangers with my 3rd DS-which was the one thing that should matter least of all. I quickly realized that those people do not matter and my baby is my baby. My boys are my everything and there is something special about each one of them. Every child is a miracle. DS3 is the most cheerful and happy go lucky little kid ever. The joy he brings us has nothing to do with his gender. Same goes for every one of our kids. Having brothers as children is so wonderful, too. I know that I am beyond grateful for the bond these boys of mine have and you'll see it with yours. I have heard so often that parents wish their boy has a brother, too when they see mine playing. It's something special, for sure.

From what I can gather, I'm definitely carrying in 'typical boy' fashion. I'm having trouble putting on weight though. I am still getting quite big though so, obviously little man is taking everything. I'll be 34 weeks on Wednesday. Looking forward to seeing bub at my ultrasound on the same day. See if he is still measuring ahead.
That's another thing, my girls, especially my last two both measured behind for dates. Little man measured spot on during the dating scan, 3 days ahead at the NT scan and 4 days ahead at the growth/well being scan at 21 weeks.

This is a whole different ballgame isn't it Boysway?? I am having trouble with balance issues as of lately because my belly is sticking out so far forward. This pregnancy has actually made my normally large butt look small! Woohoo! With my girls the extra weight was all over the place, especially my butt.
However, I am having no trouble gaining weight. With all my kids I usually gained 1lb each week for the last month, no exception this time!

Adia, definitely a whole new ball game, lol. So far my centre of gravity hasn't really put me off balance. However, I have forgotten the size of my belly at times and closed doors and hit it softly, lol. I think the GD has prevented me from gaining any weight. They have lowered the level that GD is diagnosed at in my area so I was diagnosed with it. I honestly don't think I should have been diagnosed. I've always gained weight in pregnancy, not this time though. In fact, I lost weight initially (after gaining 10 kgs on the boy diet last year) and haven't put any of that weight back on. I have been told I should have put weight on by now.

I sent her some private words hoping she is ok with her pregnancy and bubs has arrived safely. http://genderdreaming.com/forum/due-date-buddies/48198-due-date-list-june-july-aug-2015-a.html

My sister had a girl this week 3rd one it took all my strength to keep from crying I was getting ratty with my fella and then he dropped the Don't worry I know how you feel comment I lost my shit then how could a man who wasn't fussed on gender know how I feel when he has 3 girls and this boy he don't know shit he keeps saying I push him away he's luckyI never blasted him for that comment unless you want one that badly and time after time get your dreams dashed how can he know I was so mad....am I being crazy and overreacting just seemed so insensitive :-(

I am officially at 37 weeks now. On Friday I had some very hard contractions at 3-4am. Well, they checked me t my regular appointment hat morning and I was dilated to 2cm and 50% effaced, position 3. This is new because i have never dilated or effaced prior to going into labor and wad always checked to the hospital at that point. Nonetheless, mere I am and baby is staying out for a bit longer. Every pregnancy is certainly different.

In this pregnancy , although I had my gender dream , but it was the worst emotionally
My relationship with dh is at the worst level
Im afraid that this will effect my baby , always nervous , crying almost every few days ,
I hate DH for giving me the worst pregnancy memories ever !
And now , I delayes my life decisions wether to stay with him or leave him untill I have this baby. It's not gonna be easy though , he will refuse and fight and everything
So sad , I wish that he will leave me , this will be easier !

Angel pink: I'm sorry you're struggling too. I think it's difficult for anyone to really understand what it's like to have gender disappointment unless they have experienced it themselves. I can't talk to anyone about it, I keep it all inside, but I have an appointment with a therapist tomorrow, hopefully that will help.

In other news I just may use my leftover pregnancy hormones as an excuse to finally go off on my mother..
Apparently I dont know how to properly do laundry including the proper way and detergent to wash baby clothes (mind you they are done right with free and clear detergent)
I dont know how to supervise a child let or two at once ( I shouldnt get my son a pool because he may drown because I will only be paying attention to the baby)
I would have less problems if I was a better consistant parent ( my son has eating issues due to a seizure at 10m)
My choices of giving breast milk from a bottle are just plain wrong ( I was adopted therefore formula fed so I dont know where she gets off)
And a whole other list of "make sure you"

angel-pink, huge, huge hugs. It sounds like you really need them. Though your OH was well intentioned people should never devalue another persons feelings. I can only imagine the pain you must be feeling. I only wish I had the words to make the pain go away x
happy1981, huge hugs for you as well. I'm glad you're seeing someone about how you're feeling. I have been down the GD path before and no-one understands. You do feel very isolated. It helps massively when you have someone outside of your situation to talk to about it.
6boys. Ohhh, how exciting :D Good luck with everything.
business.woman, I'm very sorry to hear your relationship is struggling. Sending you love. My ex and I broke up when I was about 2-3 months pregnant with my soon to be 10 year old. I was able to break up with him after an argument and I had thought long and hard as to whether I wanted to be with him for the rest of my life, for me, the answer was no. I never looked back.
Nahri, OMG to your mother!!! I could use plenty of colourful language here! I'm sure you get the drift though. So glad you stood up to her! How is that gorgeous baby of yours going?
I had my 34 week ultrasound today. Bub is measuring a couple of days behind and weighing approximately 2.2 kgs. He is head down and has his legs tucked under his bum. Which explains why I haven't felt any feet in my ribs yet (although no complaints from me about that, lol). Baby is still a boy (once he finally moved his feet). So, that is also good. I also know why I feel him on the right, placenta is on the left. We didn't get the film though :( I don't think we would be able to see much anyway. We couldn't see his face because he had his hands in the way. We got a nice shot of his ears though, lol. I know it could go up and down either way but the ultrasonographer seems to think bub may end up being around the 7lb mark. All good with me, my heaviest baby was just over 8lb.

Business woman- don't make my hasty choices unless you know exactly the right path to go down. Our hormones make the simplest of decisions difficult so I hope you are ok.
I'm actually feeling super relieved today! I had a growth scan and consultant appointment this morning as my baby was measuring small and under the line for my gestation two weeks ago. Today she is measuring just over the line and is around 3lbs already at nearly 30 weeks. I have another appointment in 4 weeks to do the same and if all is good and well I won't need to be induced! I'm keeping my fingers crossed for that as it'd my goal to go into labour naturally this time :)

Angel-pink, hang in there. It will be better with a squishy baby to love. I think of you often and know how you feel.
I am 14 days from my due date but today made me think baby will be here sooner. I couldn't breathe or move today without a contraction. They are somewhere between braxton-hicks and real ones. Not so painful that I can't function, but annoying enough to keep me down a lot and unable to do as much as I would like. Otherwise, I am having a little trouble sleeping, not as bad as it could be and of course I have to eat every 1-2 hours and go pee every 30 min. My bladder has lost all capacity and I can't be far from a bathroom. Baby is head down and my pelvic muscles might as well be noodles. I can't stand or sit for a long time, I just can't keep my pelvis muscles together. I have seen the chiropractor once a week, thank goodness, but I am still thinking baby *should* slide out easily with how loose everything is! Let's hope its that easy!!

Business .5-1lb per week. All of that of course your diet, diabetic status etc. But somewhere in there
Adia sounds like its getting real! Try to walk when you can and LOTS of water. It helps weed out the bad contractions because being too dehydrated can actually cause more false ones and unproductive real ones. I know thats what we all want to hear with tiny preggers bladders is more fluids >_<
Birth ball if you have one its great for before and even after labor just for comfort. I still use mine every day just to sit on because it makes my back feel better especially were stupid went stabbing around for the epidural I never got. Feels like I did get one though OWWW
In other news first bath at home and she was PERFECT not one peep! She must love her flower tub and so do I! Best thing I could have bought until I can lean over the tub to use the big baby bath.

Oh, I had my 34 week ultrasound. Bub is on the 37th centile and weighing approx 2.2 kgs. We couldn't see his face because his hands were in the way and he was snuggled into the placenta. All looks good though and he is head down. I got to make sure he is still a boy, lol. The ultrasonographer actually needed to move the ultrasound wand around on my stomach to try and get him to move so we could see his bits, lol. He had his legs and feet so tightly tucked under his bum, we couldn't see anything. Thankfully he did eventually move.
I've been busy the past 4 days preparing then painting my older kids room so they can move into the same room. Then, I can get a start on little man's room. I need to do a lot more culling then I thought.:( The room looks tiny with two beds in it. I need to get grocery shopping over and done with today so I can get back into both rooms and declutter/cull.

HI ladies!
I'm good, just massive. Sometimes when I'm sitting on the couch I start getting real contractions but then they stop when I get up and move. My midwives said they check me at my appt this Wed and see if I am dilated at all.
I am anxious about labor and delivery, it hurts no matter which route I take but I want a little baby boy too! DH and I were talking about how we have gotten to a point in our lives where we are used to being comfortable, our bed is super comfortable, our couch is comfy, our cars are comfy....having a baby is not comfy - its painful! And it's been almost 7 years....so I'm anxious but getting so big and awkward that I'm getting ready to suffer a few hours of discomfort to be able to move and not go to the bathroom every 30 min!
Baby squirms a lot which is fun but getting tough as he is big! I am nervous about going over my due date and having to fight it out with the doctors. The midwives will play along with my wishes but they have to get the doctors in the group to agree. I live in an area where is all about slicing and dicing. Doctors aren't really interested in the natural process of things around here and finding midwives was a bit of a challenge. The midwife group is a bit of an oddity around here. It's just a really lazy area of the country that wants everything done quick and modern with little mess. We plan on moving next year, thank goodness!
I'll keep you posted when something significant starts to happen. One day last week was contraction day but I haven't had a tough day like that since. So who knows what is going on!!!
I wanted to post a belly shot but can't figure out how to turn picture! The original picture isn't sideways????

Just think of that instant weight loss when baby is born! Baby weight, placenta, and fluid weight GONE! My end total was like 17lbs gained with some losses throughout. 10 of that was gone instantly with labor 8lbs was baby. Just make healthy eating choices and watch your carbs and TONS of water which of course means more bathroom trips but the way to burn water weight is to drink water. After you have bladder control back drink half your body weight in oz daily. So if you weigh 100lbs then drink 50oz daily. You wont retain water doing that and will lose weight. Breastfeeding burns calories so does toting a baby around all day :D

I know a lot of my weight gain lately is water weight. I drink tons of water and always retain a lot when I am prego. My bladder is so shot right now, I literally go to the bathroom every 30mins much of the day. I am so hopeful losing water weight will take some of the pounds off.
I breastfeed so that has always helped too. I am just worried that because I am older it will be harder to lose the extra fat this time around.
I could never lose the last 10lbs from DD3 and gained 20 on the HE diet so I feel like I am at such a disadvantage before I ever started! However, I eat constantly and have this whole pregnancy. I have never known hunger like this in my life. Boys certainly require more calories than girls. It will be nice not to have to hang out in the bathroom or kitchen so often!!!

I felt like I ate a lot more with DS too! I felt as if I was snacking constantly! Might look into a bellefit compression too if you are concerned about pulling everything back in. It really helps all that extra skin and the harder to lose "mothers apron" when everything is pulled up where it should be while it heals. Harder to make that little fat deposit go away when its flapping around in the breeze as it were. Mine is really bad this time even though I didn't gain much and Im only 31. Its going to be a battle this time!

It's good to know I'm not alone with the weight gain. With my boys I would constantly snack but I was eating much healthier...I would crave avocardo's and almonds so my weight gain was easy to come off. This time I crave sugar be it from fruits or cake I don't care just give me sugar lol. Vegtables do not interest me in the slightest so I'm having to force it down in my evening meal. It also doesn't help that my DH has turned into a human feeder and brings home goodies. I've got a support belt for after the birth as my ligaments have parted quite a lot so my doctor thinks I may need physio. It happened after my DS2 so I'm not too worried about it.
Thinking of all you ladies due to have your babies soon. Wishing you the best deliveries possible :)

Yep, next Wednesday is due date. Midwife checked me yesterday and said my cervix is clammed shut. Ugh
I am now in the "wait and see" zone of pregnancy.
The midwife group I am with suggest a c-section at 41 weeks for VBAC ladies, like myself, but I am not so thrilled about going to 41 weeks at all. Yesterday the midwife said the doctor's are usually apt to wait until after 41 weeks to actually do the c-section...so nothing definitive right now.
However, I am opposed to pitocin too. The insane OBGYNs around here will use pitocin on a VBAC candidates sometimes, but I think its unsafe so we aren't going that route.
I guess I can't get too excited until I am actually at 40 weeks, which is still a few days away.
I have random real contractions mixed with Braxton-Hicks, but obviously they aren't making my cervix dilate! When I set down for a while I start contracting hard but then when I get up they stop.
My main complaint about going to 41+ weeks is being miserable and totally immobile AND that 41 weeks is DD1's birthday and DD3's birthday is 2 days later....wouldn't it be lovely to have 3 kids birthdays on 3 days in a row...NO that would not be lovely!

I'm loving all of the cute baby bumps! You all look wonderful!
Business woman-I had a full day and a half of the Braxton hicks and they got stronger and faster, so I went in to the hospital! So painful I was crying during some of them but I am still not progressed past the 2cm and 50% effaced that I've been for two weeks now, so they sent me home and they finally stopped though ! I was so annoyed...they'd have kept me there and possibly broke my water if I were 4 more days along(I will be 38 weeks according to them tomorrow) . I don't want to go early, but wow that was exhausting. And my mucus plug showed up yesterday and again tonight when I wiped (sorry tmi!) Now I'm having them Again with lots of pressure and I am plenty hydrated and have had little to no caffeine for weeks, so I don't know what's up except maybe this girl is pure drama lol. Poor DH took the day off work yesterday for nothing. They felt so real so now I am second guessing whether I'll even know when true labor begins. Ugh.

Shove some Evening primrose capsules up there then go to bed with a pad on so you dont leak all over your sheets. It wont start anything thats not already happening but it also helps soften the tissues to make a birth easier. I did it this time and man did I notice a difference in the stretchiness. You can also use it as a perineal massage oil so you can soften that up against tearing. Walk, Water, bumpy car ride, bounce on a ball, have sex, primrose oil Break it all out if you are close and trying to avoid that c-sect!
3BoysBlessed
June 19th, 2015, 12:01 AM
Thanks I might try that soon Nahri! Chances of a c section are slim for me, but I am just worried I'll transition super fast from a 2 to a 10 like my last two. Once I hit 3cm I was at 8cm in less than 30 minutes and sped straight to 10 and pushed them out in about 5 pushes! So the fact that I'm 40 minutes from the hospital is freaking me out. My Dr said they'd get faster each time and so far, she is right. Last time was such a quick one that I'm afraid this one will shoot out before I know it. Good, yes but im scared!

Crashing again! For those who are having loads of Braxton Hicks I always found running a nice warm bath always helped stop, plus is very relaxing. More often than not if you're in the bath and the contractions aren't stopping, they're not Braxton Hicks anymore...

I am 33 weeks today, have been having BH and contractions :( need to make it to at least 36 weeks for their lungs to have a better chance of development. I see my Doctor next on Monday and have an U/S than too can't wait to see my babies.
At 30 weeks 2 days Baby A Boy was 4lbs 5oz, Baby B Girl was 3lbs 12 oz both measuring big and ahead. My U/S tech thinks they will both be over 7lbs each yay!
This is my last bump shot

The last few weeks are always the worst! Ready for it to be over and have your baby home but wanting them to get as much baking time as possible. Stress out about every little symptom being "IT". And they wonder why pregnant women are crazy!

I am feeling blessed at the moment. I'll be 36 weeks in 3 days. I have my last shift tonight then maternity leave starts. I can't wait till we meet little man but, I also find myself feeling very sad it's all coming to an end.

Missxo, you look fantastic! I am as big as you and i only have 1!!
Nahri, good advice. I hadn't thought about wearing an abdominal brace after a vaginal birth but I have mine left over from DD2 c-section so I will definitely do that.
I am definitely miserable. Like Boysway said, this is the end of the road for me so trying to savor it as much as possible but so uncomfortable its getting difficult to not be a crazy pregnant lady. If I am sitting on the couch or lying in bed I get real contractions but then I move around and nothing....
Linz...yes, I feel like a ticking time bomb...just no clue when it will go off!!

I had an U/S and OB visit on Monday, Baby A was 5lbs 5oz and Baby B was 5lbs 12oz, tech said baby b is a bit smaller but was having a hard time measuring her. I was 33 weeks 2 days. My last appointment was 3 weeks ago and my cervix was at 4cm, on Monday it was at 2.7cm. I have been having contractions so its making me nervous. My Doctor said not to travel more than 40 mins away from my hospital and to stay off my feet 90% of the day :( I need these babies to stay put for another 3 weeks! I set up their bassinets and now nees to pack our hospital bags and my kids over night bags just incase. My Doctor said he wouldn't be surprised if I go into labor anyday :(

Business Woman- best of luck! I am 39 weeks now and I'm about to try the EPO. I have had several bouts of hard contractions that were every 4-5 minutes and it lasted a full 24 hours a few times now since my first visit to the hospital a week and a half ago thinking I was in labor but nothing was happening. Ugh. I am not thinking it's funny at this point but I gotta laugh or I'll cry. The dr told me that it's because I'm on # 4 that my body is really just "ready" ahead of time. :/
I'm loving all of the nurseries! I still haven't painted or fine a thing in ours! I have holes to patch first but I'm painting it "vaguely mauve" by Sherwin Williams, it's a very light purple-grey I guess is the best way to describe it. Almost neutral. The crib is grey. Baby girl will be co sleeping with me for the first several months at least, so I'll have some time...I hope lol.
We did agree on her name, though! DH chose her middle name. Vivienne Rayne it shall be:)

I'm here, my little prince came on Monday and haven't gotten a chance to update. I have some pics I can post later from my computer.
My water broke at home, which was a first for me, at 4 am but baby wasn't born until 8:30pm....it was a long but very exciting day! Baby boy weighed 7lbs even, which is my smallest, I thought he would be my biggest based on the ton of food that I ate constantly.
Baby is so chill compared to my girls, almost has me worried. Everything feels so surreal.....finally have the baby/boy I have hoped and prayed for years to have. DH is thrilled too. Babies are tough for him but he's so thrilled to have a boy, I think we are both in a slight state of shock after trying for a baby for so long and wanting a boy for even longer.
Having a hard time with the fact that this is my last, no more pregnancy, no more babies....honestly don't really desire more kids, just hard to accept that my years as a momma to tiny little people are numbered. I love being a momma to my babies.
The hormone aftermath kicked in quickly, itchy scalp, brittle nails, etc. the lack of sleep doesn't bother me because I am so happy to have this baby, but I know I am more emotional because of it.
Hopefully I will stop calling baby "she" in the middle of the night soon! I'll add some pics in a few.

37 week appointment went well. Bp normal, GBS swab was negative. Bub is fixed in place :) Not likely to be induced unless my bsl plays up. Really ticked off though. I didn't get my whooping cough vaccine because they apparently don't do it till bub is born :( I called my medical centre as soon as I got home and they will do it. I just need a prescription. Thankfully, they have the vaccine in stock (at the moment). I will try and get there on the weekend. I tell you what though, I think little man has been trying to move down more. I was getting some serious shooting pains off and on when I was at my mums for lunch. It settled soon after I went to the toilet so, I think my bladder must have been squishing bub making him want to move out of the way.
Business, I won't be giving my bub anything extra, only what is essential, formula etc.

I will ask you ladies , do you give your baby Vitamine D drops?
I was asking the health visitor about vitamins for Jamie. Apparently if you're breastfeeding it'll come through from your diet but can introduce vitamin D from 6 months. If baby is on formula it will be in that so no need until baby stops formula. Hope that helps!

Pretty soon all the babies will be here!!! I had my ob appt yesterday and I'm 2cm 50% effaced, I also lost my mucus plug this morning not that that means anything. Have had some real contractions on and off but nothing constant.
An employee at dh work just saw me and told me I'm having a girl, I don't know why but those words were like a knife through the heart they are actually making me doubt the 5 ultrasounds I had where I clearly saw boy parts!! I dont know why it's bothering me so much, I'm going home now to look at my ultrasound pictures for reassurance, this is crazy!!!! Good luck and safe deliveries to all the mommas!

Business I give the vitamin D supplement. Anyone who feeds straight breastmilk or less than one qt of formula per day in addition is usually recommended to give a D supp. This also depends on what you are giving them in your milk too. They only are able to absorb part of the D in your milk and supposed to get the rest from sunlight. So if you and bubs are in the house most of the day or you yourself don't have enough D to begin with then you should supplement. It cant hurt it can only help!

At this stage I'm happy for bub to stay put. I mentioned going over the last two pregnancies and he said as long my bsl doesn't go up, they don't worry too much. I will mention it to hubby, I don't think he will have much to say about it though. My next appointment isn't for another 10 days. I guess things could change in that time.
We have also agreed to a name. We are keeping it quiet but, I will tell you guys because I know it can't go anywhere else, lol. Strangely enough, bubs name came to me in a dream this morning. I spoke to dh about it and he agreed. So happy we have agreed on a name. It's not a first name I had ever thought I would use but, we like it. Bub will be called Keiran Ryan :D I wanted Ryan in there as that's a family name. So happy bub finally has a name. It's weird though as I came up with Miss 10's name almost that same way in that, it just came to me.

LOVE it boysway. Keiran was on my boys list if we didnt get a girl but DH was dead set against that one. He just has no taste! Im a sucker for the good irish names!
Membrane sweep can help but it doesn't guarantee a labor start so that's one thing to remember. 38 weeks already so you are well in the safe zone! If it were me personally I would take it if I had a history of going over, you are worried about babies weight because of the bsl, or your own health with the bsl, just make a pro's and con's list. I turned it down on the offer at 37 weeks and then when 38 came around because of my SPD I was of the mind I was going to take it at my next appointment. It so happens DD was born the day I was SUPPOSED to have that appointment and was going to request it LOL
angel-pink careful with those crutches!!!!! I don't know what posesses these doctors to think that giving a pregnant woman with a poor sense of balance because of a shifting tummy CRUTCHES its a good idea. Be VERY VERY careful with them especially when you are alone because it can increase your fall risk!

Nahri, lol I didn't even think of name origin. Except for our surname he will have a very Irish name with Ryan as his middle name. I may go for an s&s. I do remember having an s&s with my last and it didn't work. I guess I might as well go with it. Bub isn't a big weight. I'm looking at most likely having a 6lb bub again. I will also be just over 39 weeks by the time I have my next antenatal appointment. Bsl isn't a worry at the moment. If anything I am having quite a few lows. Highest reading has been 6.8 which was after I had extra cereal, lol. 6.8 is within range for an hour after eating.
