Woohoo getting close taytum 😁 i like Liam, Logan, Wynston, Jesse...
I personally have never tried any teas for prepping the body for birth. I do alot of mental and emotional preparation, pep talks, possible scenarios, reliving previous births. My common trend is when im begging for pain relief a baby pops out not long after 😂😂😂 (thank goodness)
My children are in holidays so finally getting a chance to clean and sort that ive been wamting to do for ages
Hope everyone is well

Thanks for the ideas Netti! I'll have to try some of the mental preparation...even though I have no idea what to expect! Haha.
Me too Boyz!! I keep hoping it's a little boy...but part of me is thinking it will be a girl just because I've been leaning blue all this time. So exciting though!

You're right! That's probably why I've been much more laid back about it.
I guess I spoke too soon. Had my 34w appt today and the doctor couldn't determine where baby is either (past 3 appts no one can!). She said she *thinks* baby is head down, but isn't totally sure. So, we'll be getting an ultrasound at my 36w appointment just to see where baby really is! So excited to see him/her one more time before real life! I'll just have to close my eyes until they've found the face; I don't want to have made it this far only to get a glimpse of boy bits or girl parts! [emoji12]

So exciting Taytum!!! Yay! If it makes you feel better, gender might be really tough to determine at 36 weeks. Baby will be very squished! But best close your eyes just in case.

Taytum I had an ultrasound with my previous pregnancies at 40 weeks because I was going overdue. They just check growth and fluid levels. But by the end I couldn't even tell what I was looking at because they're so squished in there!

So one last question. When is the earliest i can start taking RRL tea ?
I hope it isnt going to bring on labor
Sent from my SCH-I545 using Tapatalk
RRL is fine at this point in pregnancy. They don't recommend it in first tri if your body isn't used to it. It doesn't bring on labor.

Hi All
Ds4 is sick. Hes had diarrhoea the past week and a half not consistently jist every bowel motion was loose. I thought it was teething as he is still waiting on 7 teeth but they've been that bad they have burnt his bum.
His actually really flat this morning and vomited and feels a little warm so we have an appmnt in an hour for a checkup.
GD hit really bad this morning but ive been busy with ds4 so thats been something.
Hoping you all have a great day

I wasn't going to have one, yogi. My office doesn't do another one unless something is wrong after 20 weeks. But, since this is like a vanishing baby, I'm getting one at 36w just to check position. Lucky you ladies it's standard practice!

If your electrolytes are screwed up then drinking a lot may make it worse. I would try having something salty to eat and see if it helps. With some fruit/dairy to make sure you have some potassium coming in too. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Boom really? Chiropractors can help with the pain? I am going to have to look into it.
Wow Blue, you are strong. I would have thrown in the towel a long time ago. Hang in there :(
Really Boyz? 😯 I give you kudos for hanging in for that long. I am holding on by a thread with the thought of not being placed 4+ weeks before. I really hope I am placed off work within the next week or so.
I think everyone at work knows I have something up my sleeve with trying to leave earlier because I keep being asked if I am registered somewhere. I already cleaned out my desk and I'm taking all of my personal things just to prevent anyone from snooping or finding something that could get me in trouble[emoji14]
How many weeks off do you gals get off. I usually get placed off work 4 weeks before, + 8 weeks recovery for a csection. Through my employer I also get family leave for baby bonding for a total of 12 weeks (6 paid/6 unpaid). I really can't wait to be off to rest

Bluebooties- im going a week before i am due aswell. I tend to overcook so not really expecting an early delivery. I work 3 nights a week but really want to spend more time at home so leaving at the last minute.
Yogi i get 12 weeks paid mat leave from my employer. The government offers 18weeks paid leave additionally at minimum wage. However ill only be taking the 12 weeks from my employer plus 2 weeks annual leave as my maternity leave is base rate and minus penalties. So i use the government payment to supplement my income. I also feel like the pic 😂 but i love this part of pregnancy (truthfully i love it all even when i cant brush my teeth or feel constantly nauseated) i get alot of groin pain of ive been standing too long and not having enough rest after my night shifts. Ive actually just finished 4 in a row so im feeling it this week.

Mommy - I know getting so excited!! I told DH realistically anywhere from 3-6 weeks left!! And I think baby has dropped - a lot of pressure in the front of my pelvis, especially when baby moves and makes me feel like I have to poop?
Yogi- my EDD is May 21 and last day of school is May 30. I'll work right up until baby is here since my mat leave won't start until then. If baby is late though I'll take all my sick days that week. Hoping baby comes around 38 weeks just for a few extra weeks this summer! I won't go back to work until mid-August.

In the U.S. here and I'm taking 12 weeks, 2 of which will only be paid from my vacation days :(
My shower was yesterday, and it was really good despite some blips on the GD scale (like people telling me they weren't going to make anything until they know the baby's gender... I just wanted to scream, "NO PINK. This is why we're publicly Team Green!").
I got two really horrible comments on how huge I was that I full on told the people was not nice, but one of them kept going on and on. I'm ~33 weeks, FTM -- do I really look awful? :(

Ladies. I had an ob appointment today with an ultrasound. Baby is head down. Placenta has moved.
Baby is measuring ahead. I m 31.4 weeks and baby is measuring 32.5
She is 2.2 kgs already. I m not sure how accurate that measurements are.
Ds1 n ds2 were 6.8 lbs approx.
dr said shes bigger than average baby.
She told me i can try vbac but if baby is big i may need an emerg c section [emoji37]🤔
Now i m worried. I m gaining 1 lbs weekly

Boyzmommy- i love doctor's but hate when they try and put the scare tactics on. Ive delivered all big babies and they (aswell as mum) are designed to fit through despite what most think. I hate how they've said to you to try vbac but put 'oh u may need an emeg csec due to size' thats not going to reassure you or be positive for a vbac. If shes 2.2 now i believe at most she would be 3.8kgs and i don't think she would even make that. i think early 3's. But she is in her fat building stage so its likely you will see the scales go up but its no indication of her size.
Believe in yourself and your body to do this ☺☺☺ what will be will be.

I had my 30 weeks check up yesterday. My blood pressure is still good which is amazing. I usually get gestation hypertension near the end and have to be induced around 37/38 weeks. (Except for my 34/35 week IUGR baby). So normal blood pressure is strange! But a good strange lol.

I cant wait to see boyz😍 I think we are reaching our nesting and uncomfortable stages maybe. My dh says he he hears me moan in my sleep as if I was in pain. I told him not to wake me and that I probably am hurting but I'd rather be sleeping and moaning than be awake and feeling everything. For me, nothing is about being pregnant is enjoyable anymore :( As for work, I had a surprise babyshower yesterday. It was totally unexpected and now my dh is pressuring me for ours. I can't really think about it especially that I'm still working and have so much to do at home and at work. I have a Dr's appointment this Friday. I'm really hoping I am placed off.

Thanks for the prayers ladies. Between family and work, I've just been so emotionally exhausted lately. I never had any just random crying spells throughout pregnancy and was actually pretty calm, but this week has been tough. I appreciate all of your support. ❤️
I'll be excited to see those of you getting your 3Ds! Hoping babies cooperate for some beautiful face pics!

Hi girls! Definitely feeling the beginning of the 3rd trimester here. I feel huge and I still have 3 months to go! It's already getting hard to work and I will be working right up to delivery like I have in the past. I work four 10's and I'm on my feet a lot. By the end of the week my hips and legs hurt so much!
Taytum, I'm so sorry to hear about your Grandma. The emotions near the end of pregnancy have always been so crazy for me. Thinking of you!
Hope everyone is well!

Well ladies I got a big wake up call. OB wants me to go to the ER every time I have a headache from now on. My BP has been very high and she's afraid I'll be getting preeclamsia and a stroke. She wanted to place me off work as of today but I begged her not to until next Friday just so I can get my chickens in a row next week at work. She also ordered fetal non stress testing for every two days until I deliver :( which scares me from my past experiences that I'll end up with a premature baby. I was told to take it easy and try not to stress. We will see how that goes but it doesn't look too great since I'm always on the edge of my feet. Hope everyone is doing well.

@Yogi I am sorry to hear you are in a stressful situation with your BP, I really hope it calms down for you and bub stays tight for quite a few more weeks.
@Taytum - i cant believe how close you are, I hope the last few weeks are as comfortable as possible :) and I am sorry to hear about your grandma, that must be a very sad and hard time for you xx sending hugs your way xx
I am seeing some lovely baby bump shots Throwaway panther and mommymachine :awe:
@boyzmommy - glad to hear that bub is head down and the placenta is in a safe place, very exciting and positive news!! please dont stress too much about their weight and size measurements, i have lost count of the women who were scared by their Drs saying they were having huge babies only to have small/normal size ones with no worries in the delivery.
I am feeling quite huge considering I am only 23 weeks... I honestly feel like I should be up around the 28-30 wk mark lol I waddle already and get braxton hicks contractions at the slightest exertion, it makes me feel rather frustrated and useless. I have also been recovering from a nasty chest and sinus infection which I have had the worst sinus headaches from.. holy smokes batman, talk about piercing pain!!! when i bend down it feels like someone is stabbing me with a pitch fork in the forhead lol gah... anyway, enough of my complaining.... still feeling very grateful for my precious girl and saying "she" is still such a foreign thing :)

Can any of you ladies share what lightening felt like for you?
~34 weeks but woke up with pretty heavy duty pelvic pain, cramping, backache, and nausea. Started to panic about labor, since it feels worse when I lay down. It's really intermittent, but I read it could be signs baby is dropping? I haven't had any issues breathing this whole pregnancy and not awful heartburn, so hard to tell based on other symptoms!

I don't think it's necessarily too much if it works for you and helps you and baby stay healthier! But then, I've had over half a lifetime of daily pills anyway because of health issues.
If it helps, I take:
Thyroid Pill
Prenatal (3 pills for a daily dose)
Fish Oil + vitamin D (2 pills for a daily dose)
Prenatal probiotic
And red raspberry leaf pills IF I haven't had a glass or two of my coldbrewed RRL tea

She said would be surprised if baby stayed full term...but that's probably just getting me set up for false hope! Thank you my beautiful ladies for your wonderful wishes. BP is still high was pretty high, but I don't have the courage to take my self to the hospital just yet. I am scared of being kept there on hospital bed rest. I start my fetal non stress testing this friday so hopefully that will go well. I really hope I get some 3d pics this Thursday, but not counting on it since our Kaiser Hospital is not that high tech with the ultrasound machines. I am also debating on tubal ligation. Kaiser does cutting and burning, and I have heard from a few people I have asked that its super painful. I am afraid the pain will over power my want to breastfeed so this is why I am having second thoughts, but the DH agreed to a vasectomy. I think I will lean toward his than mine just so my pain wont be double than what it will already be. :(
Taytum keep at it, I hear it helps with preparing your body to get ready for labor. How exciting and I am overjoyed for your as your due date approaches.

April 26th, 2016, 08:30 PM
Oh no YB! Do you check your BP at home? I hope everything goes well on Friday too with NST and that your BP is in control. I also would have DH maybe get the vasectomy. Have you BF in the past? I'm worried most about BF and sticking to it. [emoji53]
DH made the comment on the way home that Saturday night he noticed I was "swollen" down there and I noticed that it was more painful than before. Soooo...that probably means no more sex from here on out since he'll think it's weird and he's uncomfortable with how low they kept saying baby is haha. But maybe I can talk him into it in another week or so just to give it a try for labor!

Taytum I have to check my BP 4x's daily and same for my sugar :( I beastfed my first for three months. She refused it after. My second I tried but she couldn't latch properly because she was tongue tied and my last I tried but gave up too easily. I really hope i can but if I don't I'd like to pump if I can for sure.
As far as the swelling goes, its totally normal. You should check out my beautiful cervix.com. Its super neat as you see how your body progresses. It even turns purple from the swelling and blood flood as you get closer to the big day :)

Those of you who have had babies before, is this crazy but I've been able to poop like 2x a day lately! It's not diarrhea as it's still solid, but from going once every 4 days to twice a day now, I'm not sure if it's in my head or could this be a sign that labor could be soon?

I was always like that toward the end Tatum, my midwife said the baby is putting extra pressure on things down there now so there's less space and your body keeps things moving through in early prep for labor.

Third morning in a row of waking up to low back achiness and menstrual cramps, complete with irregular Braxton Hicks. They go away.
I am sitting on my birthing ball though because the pressure on my tailbone is so bad I can't even lay down, not even on my left side.

I get this too, Panther! My lower back has been super sore lately and I get cramps that feel like my period, wrapping around. I'll get one or two that take my breath away, but not consistently. My doctor didn't seem concerned about it when I mentioned it on Tuesday.
I feel like (TMI!) there is something stuck inside me...like a really large tampon or something hahaha. Hard to explain!
Edit: Also, I feel like the last few days I've had a strong feeling this is a girl. I don't know what it is. Maybe the u/s tech saying she didn't see any gender clues while she was moving around (granted she wasn't looking and baby is super smooshed). I'm happy because my BFF just gave birth to a little girl in Feb and that will be fun for us, but still some GD that I'm not getting my boy vibe any more. I guess hopefully we'll just know in a few weeks!

I'm just at the beginning of the 3rd trimester and my swelling got really bad the last few days. I've gained 4 pounds of fluid in just a few days and I have pitting edema half way up my shin! My fingers and face are starting to get swollen too. It was a little better today since I was off work but I guess being on my feet for 10 hour days isn't very good for my feet and legs! I JUST packed my hospital bag last night! I just don't really know what to pick besides a going home outfit for me, nursing bra, makeup and maybe some toiletries? Sounds like hospital provides a lot?
Bluebooties - a massage sounds so perfect right now!! I think you definitely should!
Y&B: I hope baby flips for you!! Will you do a version if not? And post pics - I'm so jealous of great 3D pics! Our baby was too squished to get anything good!
No updates...more plug came out today. This time a bigger clump in my pantyliner (TMI!) so hoping that's good. My lower back has been really sore and baby is so low right now. Talked DH into going to Mexican tonight and I was on my feet all day today for a classroom lesson (and it was a freaking NIGHTMARE at work!! Complete with the cops called to take a student away [emoji51]).
Going to the mall tomorrow to do some last minute shopping, so maybe if I walk a lot tomorrow that will help too!
Opinions: Monday is my 37w appt, and I'm wondering if they'll check cervix. Should I? I'm curious but I know it means nothing (like this damn mucus plug haha!)

How exciting !
Take a camera, extra undies, cosy slippers, a house robe (if u dont like hospital gowns) abd cell phone charger. If ur breast feeding the nipple cream will be handy and ofcourse the mamma bottom dpray or tucks.
For baby just take me home clothes and maybe a baby book but they will give u diapers etc.
I dont think they will check ur cervix that has no prognostic utility for labor. I normally decline pelvic exams they r just too darn uncomfortable

I would tell them you lost your plug the night before and have been feeling lots contractions if you are curious to know where you are at[emoji14]Dont forget your ChapStick! My hospital gave me mesh ones but they have no support and with a csection and gravity everything hurts :( Dont forget your device chargers too. I am super excited that you are only days away!

Today we've been cleaning (we're both nesting!) and I've noticed the pain is under my belly right above my pubic bone. Maybe that's a sign too!
I had my GBS last Tuesday but haven't heard results. I know if my water breaks before I hear anything I need to go to L&D right away to begin antibiotics just in case.

I need to get in the mood for nesting soon I hope. I only feel like sleeping all the time at the moment since I feel likr Ive been awake for 23 hours every day😑
As far as cervix checks go, I think it depends on who's checking you and how gentle they are. Of course there is no exception for it making you feel uncomfortable as they need to check around there to see how effaced and dilated you are and its slightly more painful or painful during actual labor. I usually dont feel too uncomfortable during my checks as I go through my pregnancy since they try to be as gentle as possible and with my scheduled csection I will not be checked prior to delivery. Hang in there ladies and just remember that everyone is different 😚

I woke up this morning and went to the bathroom, then came and laid back down. I felt something weird and went back to the bathroom to see I lost another chunk of plug. When I laid back down I felt wet and felt that it is coming out of my vagina. I tried to smell it, but to me it doesn't have a smell. Just going to lay here and see what happens...maybe some of my water breaking? Or maybe just discharge with the plug? Or maybe just pee...I've been known to do that! [emoji12]

If you lost the mucus plug Your body is making more discharge.
If you having second thoughts About it being amniotic fluid call a docter.

Except for fairly rare instances when your water goes, you KNOW it. The slow leaks are a lot less common later in pregnancy because the pressure of the baby means that the water has a lot of pressure on it to go out and it's like a big pop/gushing water that keeps going and going. My water broke with 4 of my 5 first and after the first gush (which was unmissable and twice I could actually hear or feel the pop) I had to wear a pad that would soak thru in only a couple minutes.

Thanks ladies! Sounds like it might just be normal watery discharge after mucus plug. I haven't had a gush or anything since then.

how exciting for you Taytum!!!! I am just catching up on this news :) gah, i feel so very behind being only 24 weeks... especially when I already feel huge and knowing I have so far to go lol
As far as your waters leaking, with my DS1, mine did not break properly at the start. I had what they called slow leaking forewaters, which they said meant that I had a hole develop somewhere at the front and the waters slowly leaked out and the pressure from the babies head and body was what stopped the whole lot gushing out. That being said, when they confirmed that the amniotic sac had a hole, they gave me only 24 hours to go into labour myself because the uterus was no longer a bacteria free environment, I was put on antibiotics aswell. I ended up getting acupuncture which successfully got my waters to break properly with the whole "pop - GUSH" thing happening :) which I wasnt expecting seeing as I had been leaking for about 20 hours lol
Oh and as for the smell, this is very much TMI, but usually your fluid smells alot like semen. And I knew straight away when I smelled it that I was leaking.

When I go to the bathroom my back immediately cramps up. Not sure why that is? It's like as my bladder releases the pressure of baby falls back on it? Ahhh...no fun!
I've had off and on back cramps that come around to lower abdomen front. Not strong enough to make my scream in pain, but enough that it hurts and my back is now so sore. [emoji26] I have an appt this morning so hoping for some news! Otherwise if this will happen for the next 3 weeks it will be a tough time!
Edit: woke up and stood up and water trickled down my leg. Went to bathroom and it was more of mucus plug (must have been discharge with it), lots more on and off back contractions (still not consistent every 5 mins yet though). Then put in a pad and about 30 mins later another "gush" of plug with some pink in it. Then a loose BM. I have an appt in an hour...hoping things are moving along!

I was at my best friend's birth just last weekend as her doula and she had back labor as baby was posterior.

Agree! I had back labor with DS2, and I found being on hands and knees helped SO much! They let me stay that way until I had to push. He wasn't coming out easily but as soon as they turned me over onto my back, he slid right out, haha!

The bottom one is a messenger style bag that has a flap that closes the bag (what you see when you look at the bag in the picture). It has a zipper on the front to use the flap for storage. I bet it has a lot of pockets inside and on the side too. You can see one side pocket in the picture. I also suspect that there is another big pocket on the back too.
I'd get this one, personally. I think it would have the most storage and pockets.

It would have to be a solid sway 😑 if HT was in Australia I would likely go down that road as travel expenses and babysitting wouldn't be necessary however I will have to give it a good shot.
I wouldn't mind attempting August next year it will give me a good break and time to get a solid sway down as i introduce it all slowly. And ds3 and ds4 will be much older by then. Of course this is all pending hubby lol

Ladies i went to emerg for slow fetal movements and was told by my ob yesterday that my pulsatility index rate is elevated. Which mean blood snd oxygen flow to placenta is slow. She said shes going to keep a close eye on growth and i should keep an eye on movements.
Is anyone know what that is exactly. She didnt explain the risk factors snd now i m worried[emoji848]

I love the purple one Boyz!! And how awesome to get a baby shower with all sorts of little girl stuff! [emoji175]
Leaving the hospital was so scary! I didn't feel we were ready at all with our latch issues. We got home yesterday around 3pm and we got settled and continued to try to feed. He would latch, suck like 3 times, and pull off. Continued the whole time. [emoji30] Finally at 11pm DH and I supplemented him with an ounce of formula. He was restless all night in the bassinet so our sleep was minimal until I got up around 3;30 with him. He ate pretty decently at that time and we did skin to skin so I could sleep for an hour. This afternoon though I was so distraught so I used a shield that the hospital gave me and it was so amazing!! He latched right on and ate for 15 mins without un latching!!! I felt so great! We're going to use the shield until my milk comes in, so hopefully that's today or tomorrow.
Sorry it's so long...as a first timer I just feel like I analyze everything to make sure he's doing okay!
Successful blue sway in May of 2016! Thanks so much Gender Dreaming! [emoji170]
