Hi ladies, I'm hoping to join you all soon but after having a chemical pregnancy in October, I'm a little hesitant to. I got my BFP four days ago but I'm still nervous. I'm 14dpo as of today and while the FR test I took is still positive, the CB digital is still saying "not pregnant." I feel like it should be by this point and it scares me. My tests are still not very dark either so I haven't been getting the reassurance I need that everything is okay. I still have symptoms though so at least there's that. IF this pregnancy sticks, my EDD would be August 8th.

Thank you bluebooties. :) I don't have an OBGYN as I used a home birth midwife last time and she doesn't do that sort of thing. I'd have to find an independent lab that can do it without a doctor's orders.

I did another FR this morning and it's a tad darker than yesterday's. It's still not as dark as I'd hoped it would be at this point now that I'm 4 weeks along. I just assumed the digital would be positive by now considering it's sensitivity is at 50 mIU and I would think at 14 dpo, my levels would at least be up to that point. It makes me nervous because I got a pos. digital test with DS2 at 10dpo. I'm sure of my dates too since I chart. It's just so hard not to be anxious because it's still so early.

Did you have a digi saying pregnant then change to not pregnant?

Hcg should double every 48 hr so check or track progression on urine tests every 2 days and if not darkening then that might be a good time to go seek medical attention.

No it's always said "not pregnant." I first took one at 11dpo which is early I know, so I figured since I'm 4 weeks today, it would be pos. by now.

With my chemical pregnancy, the lines had already faded to very faint by 15dpo so I'm hoping as long as the line is getting darker, it's okay.

Sorry ladies I'm being annoying about this. I can't help my paranoia. :sigh:

Hi ladies,

I tried my doppler today and I found the heart beat a few times. I even called my oldest daughter to record it. ♡ It was a magical experience. I thankfully only have three more progesterone injections to give my self and I pray everything goes well after that. I have my 4 week follow up this following monday. Im sure I will be scheduled for my next ultrasound before I turn 14 weeks. I am very much looking forward to scheduling my gender scan christmas week more than anything with the lords will ♡

How is everyone doing? Hope everyone is doing great and hang in there ladies with ms! I hope it goes away super soon.

Hi to all you pregnant ladies,

Welcome to all the new ladies who have joined us. Huge congrats with your little beans and I hope they stick with you.

I had my first ultrasound on sunday at 7w3d and we heared a nice hartbeat. Our baby is doing great and is on track, so we're very happy. On the abdominal US, he or she was on the right so if I mirror this it would mean girl. But I don't really know if Ramzi is reliable.

I still get girl vibes though and I think that I will really be able to enjoy this pregnancy once I know if my gender desire will finally become reality, because right now it's keeping me from a good night rest. It's horrible. Some nights, it's the only thing I can think about. I just hope with all my heart that this is really my girl. Next scan on the 21st at 10w4d.

Hi ladies! Hope you are all well!

Welcome Violet! Great to see you popping your head in, hopefully this LO is a sticky xxx

Ksmom I'm hoping your next test is darker than the last one. Its so scary waiting on that line to darken but I'm sending loads of positive vibes your way xxx

Fiya that photo is gorgeous!! Hopefully your instinct is right and it is indeed your long awaited pink little bundle :) I find myself yo-yo-ing! I can't imagine having a daughter but I can't imagine having a third son either - I think I just can't imagine a third child period lol. Unfortunately we won't have the option of finding out the gender until mid March, I think, as I think most places ask that you be 20+ weeks before having a gender scan!! The Harmony test is super expensive so I don't see that as an option here either. I'm trying to put gender to the back of my mind for now!

Hope you are feeling a little better foxcub - and all the other moms dealing with MS at the moment. Its horrible, it really is! xxx

Oh yogi that must be wonderful being able to hear your little darling on the doppler!!! I can't wait to get to that stage :) It definitely is great for easing your mind in the early days xxx

I'm feeling a distinct lack of symptoms other than the near constant cramping and some backache. Sleeping on my side has become painful already. I had severe SPD on DS2 and I just know its going to cause issues early on this time. I'm 4+2 today, feel its a little more real. Where abouts in your abdomen did you have twinges and cramps in the early days ladies? I'm still feeling it on both sides and that heavy, period type pain all over. I'm thinking about booking an early scan for some reassurance - when is the best time to book for? When would the heartbeat be visible from? I think once I see that I can chill a bit more.

Took a FR this morning and the line is WAY lighter and the digital still says "not pregnant." I take all my tests with FMU after a long overnight hold so I know my urine wasn't too diluted. This is exactly what happened last time. I took a test at 15dpo and it was really light then I started bleeding the next night. At this point I'm hoping for the best but expecting the worst. DH refuses to believe it's happening again but I know deep down, I'm right. All the symptoms I've been having for the past week have completely disappeared and my temp is dropping quickly. Here are my tests (today's test at 4w1d is at the bottom)

Thank you Poptart. :) Yeah I didn't think it would happen again because I figured it was just bad luck last time. I was still paranoid though and had this "what if" thought in my head. I hope the IC test was just a dud for you and that all is well with your pregnancy. Those tests aren't great for seeing progression because they're cheap for a reason. I think the feeling of AF coming is normal this early on. I remember feeling that way with DS1 and was scared because I didn't know if that should happen or not. I'm pretty sure I felt like that with DS2 as well.

Thank you Hopper. I feel like I'm sorta in limbo right now just waiting to see what happens. DH insists everything will be okay but I think he's just trying to cheer me up and keep me from worrying. A small part of me is hoping that everything's fine and the test will be darker tomorrow but I'm trying to be realistic about this. I know that if I do lose this pregnancy, I for sure don't want to sway anymore if we try again. I gave it my all for 6+ months and I'm done.

I was actually talking about another photo because this first one was a vaginal version, but not a transversal view but a sideway view of the baby, so it's impossible to say on the first picture which side of the body the placenta is on.

I will upload my abdominal US for you to take a look. Here it is, but it is way less clear than the other one. But baby is on the right and I suppose the white spot is the placenta forming? If I mirror this, baby would be left? I think i just have to be patient.

Unfortunately, no good news. :( I'm losing the pregnancy as I suspected and again at 4w2d like last time. I'm not sure what it is about that point that I can't seem to make it past. I took a FR this morning and the line is even lighter than yesterday...it's barely even there. I didn't even bother with a digital. I'm just waiting to bleed at this point. I was cramping a little bit ago so I think it's just a matter of when.

I'm sorry I won't be joining you ladies, especially those of you from the November TWW board. I'm so glad there were so many of us who got our BFPs. :) Congratulations to you all and H&H 9 months!

Thank you so much Hopper. :) I am going to consult Atomic and ask her thoughts on it. I'm hoping maybe she'll have some suggestions. I did read that in a study on early miscarriages, 1-4% of women will have two back to back simply by chance. I guess it could just be bad luck, I don't know. DH really wants to try again and so do I but naturally, I'm terrified. I'll probably head over to the Dec. TWW board soon and hang out there while I wait to O again.

Thank you Poptart. Of course you can look at my chart! It's linked in my signature. If you can't see it, I can post a screenshot of it. It did cross my mind that maybe my progesterone was low but my temps were a lot higher than normal this time so I don't think that's it. I don't think I can do a hardcore sway anymore like I was doing because I'm very underweight, even lighter than I was as a teen! My BMI is 16.8 and that's after gaining some weight back in Sept. per Atomic's recommendation. I'll probably still skip breakfast and not snack because it's just what I'm used to after doing LE for so long. I'm not going to count cals or fat or protein though, not with my weight being so low. I may continue with the cardio, not sure. I don't need to lose more weight that's for certain. DH insists on continuing with his supplements and staying vegetarian so I'm fine with that. Still sticking with one attempt because I've had no libido on this diet, ha! I'm going to talk with Atomic and get her opinion on all of this.

I haven't had any sort of testing done before. I've had irregular ovulation for the last 8 years or so and I did *almost* see a doctor about it when we were TTC our first but I ended up pregnant right at one year of trying. Since then I've obviously had no trouble getting pregnant. In the past 6 months I've only o'ed 3 times which I know isn't normal. Maybe I need to speak with a doctor about it and see if it's something that needs to be corrected. I wouldn't think it would be the cause of my mc though.

Super Sorry for your loss Ksmom. I have been there too with two chemicals and after lots of procrastination I wnet to a specialist and found out I had moderate pcos. I pray for you a speedy recovery and a beautiful bfp in the next few weeks.

As for me :( I was in the ER last night after major hemorrhaging. I have been put at risk for 50% miscarriage. Last night i had gushes of blood with golf size clots. Today is much better and the bleeding has almost completely subsided but the little that is there is still bright red. They couldn't say what it was or what caused it and thats usually the response I have. Baby is still alive and bleeding is no where near it. We shall see in the next few days. I have my ob follow up on Monday thats if I make it till then. I am ready for what ecer destiny has in store for me and so is the dh. Hope everyone is well. :)

Thankyou taytum. Well Dr was quite positive, she thought that it was amazing that I had conceived at all and that with febrile illness it's lucky to get preg, now that I am she didn't think it would be much to worry about - possibly increased risk of miscarriage. She wasn't aware of what I had read that fever in very early pregnancy can increase risk of Spina Bifida but thought that it would be more of a concern if it was in the embryonic stage, and since I am taking increased folic acid anyways that was a positive thing [emoji4] I asked her about harmony test, haven't decided if I will do that as of yet. And I have a dating scan booked in also [emoji4]

Good luck with your appt taytum.

[emoji16] so this time im not gonna kid myself that I won't but I'm gonna try not to make the pregnancy a public thing TIL I know, as I think the pressure will be overwhelming. Everyone knows Id love a little girl. Though I have accepted I'll have only boys!

Mamma glad to hear everything is going as well as it could be and fingers crossed that continues xx

Poptart I'm in Ireland so not sure our healthcare is similar to yours or not. I am seeing my GP today to have pregnancy confirmed and he will send a referral letter into my local maternity hospital. So I am 4+4 and I reckon it will be about 10 weeks before I hear from the maternity unit for my booking in appt. That's the norm here anyway but it's definitely a case of the earlier you book in the earlier you get seen!

Mamma glad everything went ok hun. When do you have your dating scan booked for?

Yogi sending tonnes of positive vibes your way. Glad to hear your LO is ok and I hope they sort out the bleed asap! I had a massive bleed at about 7 weeks on DS2, they never truly discovered what it was but I did experience intermittent bleeding throughout the pregnancy after that, maybe every 3 weeks or so. Thinking of you and bubs hun xxx

Mammacass glad to hear your first appointment went well.

Taytum good luck wirh your 15 week appointment tomorrow.

Too nervous to make my first appointment. I know my obstetrician will want to book me in for weekly scans due to my history. With my last miscarriage I had weekly scans and it was heartbreaking one week to see bub with a heartbeat then the following week no heartbeat. I'm leaning towards not seeing him until 12 weeks then hopefully what will be will be and save myself the stress. I don't want to even get my bloods done as I'm scared of the results.

Hopper dating scan is booked for 15th - I was hoping for straight away as I'm so impatient but they said they prefer to do it at 7-8wks unless it's urgent due to a bleed etc.

That would be very difficult Violet to have weekly scans and to have that experience, I can understand you putting off making that first appointment x

I just made an appt for a private scan on the 21st!! I'll be 7+1 all going well! I don't know if I'm nervous or excited!! Still having those heavy AF cramp pains, I hate being anxious over them. Bluebooties, my next scan is in like two weeks? Can't remember date. In some ways I feel calm about it because the doctor did say one was a boy, but that also makes me even more nervous because if he was wrong (was only 13 weeks), I imagine I'll be pretty disappointed. It has been nice feeling more at ease since my last ultrasound. Mixed emotions I guess :). I saw a woman I know today with her new baby boy after two girls and it was just SUCH a nice feeling to not feel jealous! Really hope doctor was right because I hate that jealous feeling :/

Threelittlestars I am so happy you got to experience that feeling!! Hoping that one of your babes is your little boy and you never have to feel that feeling ever again. It's the worst feeling - and the guilt that follows it could be even worse!! X

Taytum glad everything went well!! You are so close to the halfway mark! Can't believe how fast time is flying!!! :) I don't know the tests you mentioned as they don't really offer things like that here but I think you did right to go with your initial feeling x

I had my first doctors visit today. Signed myself up for doing co-care between hospital and my doctor and got my referral sent in. Also he confirmed with a + test so yay! I have withheld myself from buying more tests so it was nice to see another line on another test. Of course he laughed at my blood pressure being low as usual but thankfully my anaemia seems to be under control so I won't be taking any more supplements other than what is in my daily prenatal vitamin til the second trimester. Glad to have the ball rolling now though. It should take about 10 weeks to be called for my first maternity appointment :) It is finally hitting DH as today he says "when you think about it you are almost 5 weeks, only 35 to go and that's no time at all!" Lol he's so funny. He let slip he thinks it's a girl too, bless him. I know he doesn't want to get my hopes up but sure look, they are up anyway so what's the point in pretending otherwise.

I know what you mean hun. I'm just waiting for the 6 week mark as that's when Hyperemesis set in on the boys. If I'm just regular sick this time I will seriously be thinking pink. I think my gut is telling me girl BUT the last time I thought thAt was on DS1 and we went team yellow and at the birth I was just thrown for such a loop. I don't think I trust my gut since then. I knew last time I was having a boy so my gut has been right 50% of the time lol.

December 3rd, 2015, 07:50 PM
Taytum I'll let you know why I will always encourage the blood tests. I would first like to say that I would never reject a baby based on disabilities. This is my DS2 story:) I got the anatomy ultrasound finished and no abnormality was picked up. Completely normal. I got the quad screening done and my baby tested positive for spina bifida. The doctors told me this could be a false positive. After a very long in depth ultrasound, it was proven to be a false positive however it was a red flag that something else was wrong. My placenta wasn't working properly and my baby had IUGR. We were now considered high risk and had to go for ultrasounds and tests all the time. At 34 weeks he not only stopped growing but started to lose weight in the womb. So they induced me.

After 11 days in the nicu he came home and is now almost 8 years old.

I would hate to think what might have happened if I didn't have that false positive...that showed something was wrong...because like I said, the anatomy ultrasound did not pick it up, and no one would have known.

So that's just my 2 cents:)

Thanks Mommymachine! I completely wish they would let you know at every appointment what to expect and decide on. I felt like I was put on the spot and she made it sound like with my first screening being negative that it wouldn't matter either way. Now I wish I would have just done it for peace of mind. I'm sure I can call though and get it done still though...?

It feels like forever away!!! We have a family wedding next Thursday, DS1s Christmas show on Friday and then it's just another week to go lol. Really need to get myself organised for Christmas too!!!
The doctor at my appt yesterday said that my first ultrasound will not take my O date into consideration, they will base my EDD on my LMP. It's only like 2-3 days so I suppose it's not the end of the world. He said that my EDD on my chart going to the maternity unit will be August 4th. At the very least it makes it seem like I'm further along than I am lol. It was only after he said that that I remembered having an argument with someone in the maternity unit with regards to my due date for DS2. Even when you are sure of your O date (and this time the fact we only had one attempt instead of like 5 lol) they still go by LMP until the scan proves otherwise. So I'm 5+1 today until proven otherwise!

I reckon our dates will be fairly accurate ;) but I suppose it makes it easier to just say my LMP date rather than explain I generally O late lol. Actually now I think of the scan - does anyone know much about Ramzi? Whats the idea behind it? I distinctly remember both boys were on my right side. I have cramping on both sides this time lol so not a clue!
Also has anyone done the baking soda test? I did it on DS1 and it indicated boy except I had everything backwards and thought if it fizzed it meant girl lol. It also indicated boy on DS2 so I just assumed it would always fizz for me except I did it 3 times the past 3 days and it didn't fizz. I know its an OWT but its been right for me twice now. Come on third times the charm haha!!

Well I think the wedding should be ok for the most part. I'll have the boys with me for most of it so they will be my reason for not drinking ;) And we are keeping DS1 in the hotel with us so I can tip off to bed before the shenanigans really kick off ;) Be nice to get dressed up as long as I can keep the bloating at bay. I'm ridiculous right now!!

Fiya
December 4th, 2015, 10:02 AM
@Hopper: I don't know much about Ramzi, but you need to look at the location of the placenta. Between 6 and 8 weeks, this is usually on the same side as your baby. It's the white spot on the ultrasound.

Abdominal ultrasound: needs to be mirrored, so if baby and placenta are on the right, they are actually on the left, which would indicate a girl.

Vaginal ultrasound: real image, so no mirroring.

BUT: it has to be a transverse view (from the bellybutton in) and no sideview. I'll show you with my scans. It's pretty complicated.

Ultrasound done at 7w3d, first abdominal, then vaginal.

On the abdominal one, it's a transverse view. Baby is on the right and placenta also. Mirrored, this means left, so a girl.

28793

It's actually my vaginal US that is more complicated, because my friend did the ultrasound and instead of a transverse view, she just turned the thing to get my baby in the most beautiful position. It is a sideview, so impossible to tell if baby is on the left or right of the uterus.

It surely didn't switch sides within 5 minutes time, but it is on the right on this image, so this shows how important it is to ask for a transverse view if you want to make any conclusions

28794

Fiya
December 4th, 2015, 10:05 AM
But with all that said, I don't know if I actually believe that my baby is a girl based on this theory. It has never been published by a renowned scientific journal, so I don't really rely on it. I'll have to wait 7!!! more weeks to find out. I'm hoping for a good nubshot in 5 weeks though.

First scan done today ladies and I'm exactly 8 weeks. V reassuring to hear that little heartbeat after the miscarriage, and there is definitely only one in there despite everyone recently thinking it might be multiples because of how sick I've been!

Hopper, the dates things is so frustrating, I hate how they refused to acknowledge that you might actually know when you conceived! Because my cycles were so long everyone is convinced I am nearly ten weeks along, was rather satisfying to hear 8 weeks today and know I was spot on with my dates! Although it does mean the misery has longer to go....

Have finally stopped being sick as doctors put me on a low does of zofran, I really didn't want to take it but it was a choice of that or being hospitalised which just doesn't work with young children and a husband trying to hold down a job! Still feel very sick constantly but I'm at least able to keep fluids and folic acid down now!

Thanks for the info Fiya :) I don't know if I believe it either but it's definitely a way to feed my need to obsess until my 20 week scan when we find out ;) Good point on the nubshot, when is the best time to aim to get that? I will be called anywhere between 12-15 weeks I reckon but it's always different.

Bluebooties I did the BST with FMU and SMU on both boys and fizzled every time. I just presumed it was supposed to fizz lol. I did it again this time with FMU and SMU and again during the day another day and it never fizzed. I know it's not accurate and is totally an OWT but like mammacass said - clinging to every straw lol.

Lol boyzmommy what's the bet that happens me too - though I am leaning toward girl but don't trust my instinct as I want it too bad.

Totally agree foxcub, the date thing IS frustrating. I am sure of my dates, as are almost all of us here I reckon! But still goes by LMP. I know it's just 3 days but like when I was pg on DS2 and had those bleeds I mentioned previously I was in for scan and they couldn't find the sac let alone anything else. I had Oed very late that cycle but was sure of my dates and that it was probably too early to see anything but they had me so worried and half convinced my dates were wrong. All for nothing thankfully but still, it irritated me no end. They tried to push an induction on me later in the pregnancy but I knew my dates with them were a good week or so ahead of my actual dates. I had a real hard time fighting the induction and was about to cave when DS2 decided to arrive very quickly following a membrane sweep ;)
Glad to hear the meds are helping even just a little bit!! Keeping down even a few things is great for you, not only physically but emotionally I found xxx

What a wonderful picture luvmyfam! :) delighted for you!!

We got some of those remarks Mammacass about being on our third!!!! It annoyed me no end! Especially as 3+ seems to be the norm in DHs family!! We told our boys the other day. They are quite rough and don't understand why I am trying to get them to stop bouncing on me so I explained mommy is growing a baby in her belly and so I need them to be gentle lol. So far so good. DS1has proclaimed loudly he doesn't want another brother cause he already has one and he is calling the baby Belle lol (I think I have ruined him with Disney lol!)

Lol poptart, I'm already married ;) Its my sister in laws wedding next week so BIG family affair! I hear ya on the POAS addiction - though I nipped it in the bud last week. When I ran out that was the end of it. I bought no more! I have stopped with the BST lol, did it once more this AM with brand new baking soda and no fizz. It's about as useful as a box of hair though lol.

Ladies my back is in ribbons already. I had really severe SPD with DS2 but it eases off towards the end. This is my back though, not my pelvis. Anyone any ideas on anything I can do to help? It's always at night and in the morning. I wake up through the night with the pain.

I always get a bad back too! I have had physio though I don't think it helped. Im Prob not the best person as I just hobble round and probably do myself more damage by continuing to do things which aggravate it IE pushing heavy shopping trolleys and mopping floors etc. I did buy though I never used a tens machine. I also took regular paracetamol on days it was particularly bad. With nursing im constantly on my feet too which def doesn't help! Are you a nurse too or have I remembered wrong!?

Lol he's a funny little fella Mammacass :)

Thanks poptart :) I think I am similar, I definitely tend to over exert myself and do even more damage. But today was actually quite tough on my pelvis and my back! It's really weird!! My pubic bone has a horrible pain in it all day and my back is very sore on and off, it made for a hard time with the boys when DH was in work. It hurts to sit down, lie down, stand up even. I am in bed now and its not too bad - yet! When I am lying for any period it gets slowly worse. Back ache isn't a sign of anything sinister happening is it? I usually get it around AF but not the public bone pain - that feels more like SPD to be honest. I am a stay at home mum so I can rest when I need to I guess but even that wasn't helping today! I'm only 5 weeks, I am amazed at how much pain I am in!!

I have it too now in my 12+ weeks but i think its from the belly hanging out and putting strain on my back. Try a hot water bottle and arnica oil massage works wonders.

No that's spd! Feels like a burning/splitting/badly bruised feeling right on the front [emoji20] I know it well!! I also get bad sciatic pain though they call it pelvic girdle pain now. I used to use a pregnancy pillow to cocoon myself in bed. It helps with a pillow between your knees and you need to try and keep your legs together as much as possible IE sit and swivel on a carrier bag to get out of the car x

Thanks for the advice ladies :) Poptart I think you have hint the nail on the head unfortunately! I am positive it is the start of SPD. I put a pillow between my knees last night, another at my back and another in front of me and aches and pains are much less today! Just like I had to on DS2. It sorted itself out long before delivery on DS2 and I usually only got it bad when he was going through a growth spurt so fingers crossed for similar this time.

So ladies - anyone have any symptoms? I feel like I should feel more pregnant lol. Not nauseous (yet!) slightly sore bbs, constant AF cramping and some serious bloating. Oh and the hunger - oh the HUNGER!

Lol bluebooties I think I would have to buy a Doppler too if I had no symptoms for the whole first trimester. It would make for a lovely change on precious pregnancies lol.
I thought SPD was for much later stages too!! I had it from week 17-26 on DS2 and then an odd bout of it here and there up to full term. But it's definitely SPD, no mistaking it now! I spoke to a friend today and she was on crutches at week 10 on her 4th with it, hoping I do not follow suit!!!

Oh mammacass I am enjoying my food too!!! It's so weird being able to eat when I want and whatever I want. I honestly had a FOOD day today, I just ate and ate and ate and when they boys Went to bed DH and I got pizza delivered!! It has been SO long since I had pizza - I couldn't justify the fat and protein on LE even for just a plain cheese lol. It was goooood!!

So sorry you're having spd hopper!

Symptoms wise I have been having lots and lots of round ligament pain. Im only 8 weeks but definitely expanding earlier this 3rd pregnancy because I'm already getting uncomfortable with positioning in bed. I've had no morning sickness but at exactly 8 weeks the bad heart burn started so I have to have my tums!

After our ultrasound the other day we told our boys by showing them a picture of the ultrasound and video taped them trying to guess what it is. So funny . They were so excited after they found out! Then, while I was still recording, DS 1 said "daddy, I think it's a girl". We told him we don't know yet but he was pretty adamant. He said "she won't know how to crawl when she's born but it's ok cause we can teach her ". I have no feelings on gender at all and I've had no dreams.

If it wasn't for the 4-5 preg tests im doing daily Id of sworn I wasn't pregnant! I feel a bit tired (but am working hard) a bit bloated (but I eat too much haha) other than that.. Occasional round ligament pain. No sore boobs, nausea nothing! Which is good in a way but it's not very reassuring in the early days! X

Re SPD they say it worsens with each pregnancy [emoji20] I reckon my first was worst actually but I gained loads of weight so that may have aggravated it. With my first it almost disappeared when he started to drop as you said which is funny because they say that should make it worse! With my second after Id pushed him out the pain I experienced was just as bad as the labour due to the spd! I couldn't put the gas and air down I swear they thought I was making it up! My whole body shook it was excruciating! X

Awww luvmyfam thats so beautiful!!! Hoping your DS is right ;) Are you planning on staying team green or yellow?

There's only about a day or two between us poptart and I am fairly the same except I am mega bloated and slightly sore bbs. I'm not any more tired than usual I don't think, I am always tired and with my anaemia my iron can get low between checks sometimes so I wouldn't notice this tiredness being any worse than usual anaemia tiredness lol. I am really really dizzy though, I'm pretty sure thats my already low BP getting lower. Nice! I suppose it could be worse, high BP ain't a cake walk either!
Thats horrendous what you had to deal with post delivery on DS2!!! Hopefully you will avoid it this time!! I'm not too bad now today. I really think the pillow between my knees helps tonnes so hopefully that will keep everything at bay for now at the very least.

So I got myself pretty much sorted for Santa yesterday! Delighted cause I'm just afraid that if the sickness hits as bad as previously I won't be able to do it and DH is....well, a man! So I just want to get them wrapped now. I have one niece left to buy for along with my sister and father and then I am done.

Thats funny mammacass!!! I Oed 3 days later than the average 28 day cycle this month too - which is days earlier than usual for me! So according to LMP I'm 5+4 today but by my dates I'm 5+1. For now I'll go by LMP dates cause I know my consultant won't change my due date to match my O date - they are such sticklers for that here. Unless your O date differs by 7+ days they won't change your due date. My due date was 6 days off on DS1 but they still kept me at my LMP date (funnily enough he arrived on the date they gave me so was in fact 6 days early lol! DS2 was late by both LMP date and O date lol, lazy sausage!)

Do you normally O early or "late" mammacass? I got +opk on cd20 for both my boys, cycles were fairly regular then at 32/33 days. Since being on LE and having been on anti depressents from July 2014 to September 2015 they definitely helped mess things up so my cycle was all over the place. I got +opk on CD16 though the cycle I conceived this time so hoping the early O and the irregular cycles help my sway! ;) I'll take ALL the help I can get!!

Not sure when I will find out - I'm still trying to decide if I will go ahead with the harmony test - I have the signed paperwork ready to go from my dr but not sure I can really justify spending the $$. If I don't go ahead with harmony I may go to an early gender scan at 15 wks. Are you having nipt?

Hi ladies, glad to read your pregnancies are progressing well.

Fefe for me morning sickness doesn't say much about gender. With DS1 no morning sickness just felt sick when I smelt DHs deodorant. DS2 was sick and throwing up most of the pregnancy. DS1 is more like me and DS2 more like DH. So I put it down to genes. I'm 6+3 now and getting waves of sickness just hope it doesn't get any worse. Count yourself lucky and hope no sickness means girl for you.

@luvmyfam: I also have a scan at 13+1 and I hope the tech will want to try to find out what we're having. It's in exactly one month and I'm allready very excited. :nails:

I personnally think it is very hard not to know what I'm having after a girl sway and a strong gender desire. I had a dream this night that the tech announced me it was a girl and I woke up sweating really hard and not immediately realizing that it was a dream. The tech even said: Isn't that wonderful after two boys??? Yes it is, pleaaazeee, I'm totally fine with it :giggle:

Anyone sway girl and NOT experiencing morning sickness? {Slowly raises hand}

Sent from my SM-G925P using Tapatalk

I had severe morning noon and night sickness on my boys - Hyperemesis in fact. I know two moms with two boys and then had their girl and both of them were severely sick with their boys and not sick at all with their girl. My SIL has two girls and she didn't know she was pregnant on either of them until about 16 weeks. Definitely agree with Taytum here. Morning sickness on a girl is an Old Wives Tale for sure. I am hoping to avoid it this time!!

Oh wow luvmyfam how exciting doing the Harmony!!! Can't wait for your result! Let's hope you hear pink xxx

Aww Taytum that's so sweet. Having a good name picked really does help. With DS1 we had a girl name picked from before he was even conceived, definitely didn't help with my GD that I couldn't find a boy name I liked. Until just prior to delivery I realised if I abbreviated my dad's name it was actually a lovely tribute. So that's what we did. His name suits him so perfectly! We have a boys name agreed upon this time but not a girls lol.

What a great dream Fiya! And I totally get what you mean about not being able to know what we are having due to the whole swaying thing. My desire is so strong it's definitely clouding my judgment!

Fiya
December 8th, 2015, 05:51 AM
@hopper: I'm afraid my gender desire is clouding my judgement too. If it is a boy, I would like to know it sooner than later, because I only look at girl clothes and girl names.

I have a list of 10 names, but a boy name seems impossible to find. We had two boy names for our first and picked one. The other name is the name of our second child and there are actually no other boy names that we both like. But girl names, I have a bunch of them.

hopper
December 8th, 2015, 06:06 AM
Lol we had that one name for DS1, found out what we were having on DS2 at 19 weeks and the poor child was still nameless until he was 24 hours old. Our issue is AGREEING on names lol. I have a tonne of girl names I love but DH doesn't like any of them. He likes one name and is unwilling to budge as I had the final say in our boys names. It's not that I don't like the name he's chosen, it was our girl name for our first child and when DS1 arrived I just couldn't imagine giving that name to another child as I was supposed to already have her if that makes sense. Maybe if we were fortunate enough to have a girl and I knew for sure we were having a girl I could feel different about it but for now we are at an impasse.

Speaking of lack of symptoms ladies I feel off today. I had to make myself toast the moment I got up, I had to haul my rear out of bed in the first place and am thinking I might actually nap with DS2 while DS1 is at school. I feel light headed and just a little bit queasy, not nauseous even just like if I don't eat I will be nauseous. Oh I hope it doesn't kick in again from 6 weeks like on the boys!!!

Fiya our scans are probably so close together! Mine is January 9th!! We will probably have Harmony results by then but won't peek because DH wants to have the fun of getting the ultrasound and guessing lol!

I fear that my gender desire is clouding my judgment too. I always called my boys "he" from the very beginning. This time I keep slipping and saying "she" but I try not to think much of it due to my gender desire.

I also have NO boy names left! We cannot agree on anything.

Awesome dreams Fiya and violet!!

Oh ladies, I felt queasy today for a while but was fine for the most part. Just putting DS2 to sleep, he was acting up so I lay down with him to encourage him to nod off and my stomach started to churn. I held it together until he nodded off and then ran to the toilet! I only threw up once but it's earlier than usual by a couple of days and I was hoping to avoid being sick altogether this time - I am starting to think this is a boy. Being sick was my number one reason for knowing DS2 was a boy. Has anyone had Hyperemesis on each pregnancy but carried different genders? Really grasping at straws here!

Counting the days past here, I'm now 8 + 4 and just fixed on this ridiculously hopefully notion that things might ease a little at 10 weeks. It's starting to affect my girls too which I hate - DD1 is acting up much more than usual and poor DD2 has been shipped off to stay with my parents!

Sorry to be such a moaner!

Many congrats 2sweetboys, what lovely news!!!

Finally managed to an online splurge on Amazon today so at least got some Chrimbo presents sorted and lifted that weight off my mind, it certainly focuses the mind! None of my usual faffage!

Thanks girls, good point poptart! Didn't even think of that!! Hope you don't end up sick Mammacass, it's definitely easier manage when it's queasiness. Not wonderful by any means though x

Thanks foxcub!! I hope you feel it lift by 10 weeks, I always found mine had peaked by week 10 and slowly started to recede. It's awful when it affects your kids, I am dreading that!! :( I just noticed our kids are very similar ages. My DS1 was Feb/26/2012 and DS2 was Feb/11/2014 :) DS1 is at a lovely stage but wants everything his own way, DS2 is a terror! Into everything and I can barely keep up with him on a good day!

On another note ladies I have that family wedding on Thursday and am so unprepared for it!! I tried on my dress this evening and its a bit tight!!! I'm an EU size 8 so about a U.S. size 4 but my dear, the tummy on me is not good!! I am so swelled it's beyond a joke, I forgot how bad the early bloating can be! Once I can suck in my gut for the pictures I should be ok!!! DH is staying the night and I bringing the boys home after the meal, have to say I am dreading it especially if I am any way sick. They will be over tired and crying for their daddy - watch this space!

Hi Ladies!
Hope everyone is doing great. Went for my follow up today. As for me, bleeding stopped for now. Dr. Said that no one knows why I've bled. With my crazy body its always hard to say if and when it will go away completely. Saw my squirmy baby today and would not stay still for the pic. I got a horrible shot but I have to share ♡28836

What do you ladies suggest. Should i go for vbac or repeated c section?

Hi ladies,

@hopper: I really don't think you are able to know the gender from the symptoms you get. I was sick for weeks with my DS1, I felt wonderful with my DS2 (really, it is possible) and now I have all different symptoms. Keep your hopes up for a little pink bean.

@Foxclub: It must be really hard to feel like you are dissapointing your kids, but DD2 is in good hands and I hope you'll soon feel better. Do they know you're pregnant?

@Yogi: It's still a cute picture though. I'm relieved to hear everything is fine.

@2sweetboys: Congrats! You give me hope.

@boysmommy: what a sweet little guy. He looks just perfect!

Boyz.. Ive had both and will go natural this time. I felt so empowered and being able to hold my baby immediately was amazing (I was under general anaesthetic after emergency csec with ds1.) although I laboured sooo quickly with number 2 so I did go from 0-100 pain wise which was hard to deal with but afterwards I was like YESSS I did it haha because ds1 was such a traumatic birth xx

Awww Yogi I LOVE that pic!!! Hoping so bad that's your little boy right there :) And glad to hear bleeding stopped, definitely sounds similar to what happened me on DS2 in that they don't know the cause. I know how you feel though - the cause doesn't really matter once it's stopped and bubs is safe xxx

Thanks Fiya, You are so right. Symptoms don't matter, I'm probably just unconsciously preparing myself for hearing the opposite. Time will tell :)

Boyz I think do what you are comfortable with. My friend has never went for a vbac cause the idea of another emcs makes her super anxious. Whereas I have plenty of other friends who have tried for a vbac and been fine about the outcome. I had my guys naturally however if this LO needs to be delivered by cs then that's the way it has to be. Personally I would be disappointed to be denied going through labour cause I am one of those weirdos who actually likes labour

Feeling super queasy again this AM. Haven't thrown up though, here's hoping I can fight it til at least after the wedding tomorrow!

Hopper, netti and foxcub so sorry you're so sick. Hope it ends soon for all of you!

Hopper my first 2 pregnancies were very different. I was very sick with DS 1 and not at all with DS 2. I know you can't go by symptoms but I know what you mean by subconsciously preparing yourself.

Congrats 2sweetboys!! So exciting!!

Thanks poptart, fiya and hopper for your input.
I think i ll give it more time and will decide. My ds1 was a vaginal delivery but ds2 was breech so i had c section.
Both of them were fine. Honestly i dont remember anything from ds1. It seems like way too back [emoji23]
I was helping my sil in labour yesterday n thought i ll have csection instead and avoid all that hassle n stuff but recovery after csec scares me. Lots of time to decide.

I have my ultrasound in 4 hrs. Hopefully i ll get a good nub shot. I m 12+5 days today.
Seeing a little boy yesterday it made me at peace to have another one. He was so adorable.

Wellmy journey only seems to be getting better. I have been placed off work for pelvic rest due to my last hemorrhage. We finally have a cause!!! I have a complete placenta previa and cautiously supervising for placenta accreta with a possible hysterectomy at delivery. I also have high blood pressure and my blood sugar was high and have to go in for a three hour test : (. He did a guess that the baby looks boy ♡ & mentioned it twice and said it looked prominent. Either way im happy my first trimester screening went well and baby looks normal. I was also told possibly no sex for the rest of my pregnancy and they were very serious about it. I go back to him in 2 weeks and we will see what they have to say then.

Yogi I am sorry you have PP but at least they found the source of the bleeding and they will be taking super dooper care if you from here on in. Absolutely THRILLED to hear they are saying team blue!! I will be delighted to see you get your son xxx

Boyz sorry to hear you are feeling unwell! Hopefully it lifts as fast as it arrived ;) x

Had that family wedding today! We had a lovely time, I left just after the meal with the boys and finally got them down to sleep about 3 hours past their bed time! I'm best now!! It was lovely to get dressed up and I got one nice photo of us as a family of 4 with a secret one on the way ;) Its a bit blurry cause it was on my phone but nice all the same. The boys had a great day and were so well behaved, I was actually beaming with pride! Don't think anyone took any notice of how good my kids were but I was delighted they were as quiet as mice and really mannerly and not making a fuss - as I said, delighted :)
On another note, the nausea I was feeling has passed entirely. Feeling quite paranoid and really can't wait for the scan in 10 days! DH thinks I am mad wanting a scan at 7+4, he says I will see nothing. I don't think he understands I just want to see that there's something there and there's a heartbeat!

Hello all.. Not been on in aaaages!

Hopper glad the wedding went well im also going to go for a scan before xmas in hope of seeing a little heartbeat before I can tell my parents and brother and sis on Christmas Day [emoji4]

If it wasn't for the tons of pregnancy tests I keep doing, Id swear blind I wasn't pregnant!!! I feel nothing! Im sure I was very nauseous by this point before? All nausea subsided by week 10-11 previously so im sure I felt awful by now.. Im waiting for it to hit me like a ton of bricks [emoji28]

Yogi congratulations on your little blue bundle [emoji7][emoji7] boys are amazing!! Biased [emoji16]

Bluebooties im in England sorry, but our standard scans are 12 weeks then 20 weeks whereby they will tell you the sex if you wanted. You can pay for private gender scans at 16 weeks which I will be doing, which would indicate 16 weeks is a good age so good luck!

How is everyone??

@boyzmommy: In Belgium, where I come from, private ultrasound techs can tell the gender as soon as at 13 weeks, but here in France where I live now, they prefer 15 weeks to be sure, but definitely not 18 weeks. I hope you'll find a place where they can tell you sooner. And you said the tech who did your U/S didn't know what a nub was? That's strange!

@hopper: the wedding sounds wonderful! Glad the boys behaved so well. You never know for sure about that aspect of the evening :giggle:

I went to see my friend who is a midwife yesterday and she was in a good mood, so she planned me a gender scan (for free) on my Birthday, which is the 24th of January. I will be 15w3d pregnant. I'm so excited to find out! I'll have another one at 13w1d, so I will already be able to guess based on the nub.

Mammacas how exciting for your upcoming scan!! I'd say keep snacks with you all the time. Sounds like you cant be with qn empty tummy. I only get queasy when I go long periods without eating.

Thank you Taytum,
Good luck on your scan. Jan 5 is around the corner. How exciting! Will they not give you any guesses? Either way its always a beautiful to see your little baby ♡

Yoginbobo it good that in California you can get a gender scan at 13 weeks. Over here i called couple if places they said 17 weeks. I got a bit disappointed [emoji17]

I sometimes think its good i m not finding out gender sooner. Atleast i m not depressed and still got hope of a little girl. I want to hold on to tht hope a little longer.
And ladies i want to ask you if its safe to fly in 22 weeks for 10 hrs flight?

I have flown on international flights amounting to 24 hours in my 4th, 6th and last months of pregnancy so u should be ok. However some airlines need a doctors note after a certain gestationsl age so be sure to ask

No way Boyzmommy :( I wonder why? I would assume its because its less money lost on their end. Here they let you rescan if they dont get it the first time. I can totally see money loss and if they wait till 17 its a guaranteed gender. Also because up to a certain point it still loos like the same gender. This is why I am iffy about the pareneotologist's guess for boy for me.

I would definitely get clearance from your OB but I think you are still ok since you are still early on the pregnancy.

Yogi - I'm positive they would know the gender by 20w, but DH doesn't want to know at all so we'll just ask that they don't tell us! I think though we may just have them leave the screen up without putting any words up when they're doing the u/s. I'm sure he won't know, but I hope I can get a good look since ill know what to look for!

Boyzmommy - I'd also maybe invest in some compression socks? I've heard clotting can be an issue on flights and those help. Hope you're at least going something fun!
