Hi ladies, I am planning on coming over here and joining this thread (got my BFP a couple of days ago at 11dpo) but I'm going to wait until I've had my first dating scan and seen that all is well. After being blindsided last time at the scan with little to no heartbeat and then the D & C etc I'm a bit cautious this time

Hope to be joining you officially soon xox

I feel just like you boyzmommy, even if some people tell me it sure is a girl this time. I am so affraid to be disappointed that I am really hoping time flies until the ultrasound where I'll discover the gender. But at the same time, I want to really enjoy every moment of this pregnancy, because it will probably be my last one.

@Bee: I admire your patience, because waiting so many weeks for your first appointment is hard!!! I will get to see my baby at 7 weeks and 3 days, so I feel blessed. Hope you get that nub-shot you want so we all can take a guess on the gender of your little bean.

Bee - I couldn't imagine waiting so long!! I'm 11w6d today and I've had two appointments! Where do you live? You're such a trooper - I hope there's the strongest heartbeat ever in there! Also - thanks for info about HBs! I'll keep that in mind! :)

Big congrats Immi and Flya!! Welcome ladies!! I love seeing this place fill up! ❤️

I hear ya Boyz...this is my first so I'm trying really hard not to have GD, but I get so pissed when people (in other, less knowledgable groups lol) tell me it's a girl just based on a HB. Seriously, stop people!!

Everyone around me is suggesting a name for my boy. I want to scream to them i m only 8 weeks n obviously wanting a girl but to aggravate things i guess. Or they want to listen from me to accept i m dying for a girl[emoji21]
I always tell them i need a healthy baby as i dont want sympathy if i get a boy. Its not a good idea when u r experiencing gender disappointment. Most of my inlaws have a girl/boy of their own. Or two girls then boy.

Hi Immi ! I hope you get an early scan to see your little bean!

My first scan is December 4th at 8 weeks. So Fiya, you will be getting your scan before me! I will just have to enjoy looking at everyone elses babes until I can see my little bean for the first time :).

Fiya it looks great!! I have 1 FRER left and I'm going to use it tomorrow at 15 dpo! I will post my progression pics :).

People like to fill up their own lifes with other people's lifes and stories. When my youngest son was 6 months old, I fell pregnant with my second boy and everyone was telling me it should be a girl, because they would almost be like twins. As if twin boys wasn't beautiful? I was happy with a second boy, but some of my closest relatives actually seemed disappointed.

Fiya
November 6th, 2015, 08:22 AM
@luvmyfam: I'm actually cheating a little bit, because one of my closest friends is a midwife in a nearby hospital and she asked me when I wanted to see this little one for the first time. So she will be doing my ultrasound on the 29th, but the 12-13 weeks ultrasound will be done by an obstetrician.

She actually had a strong gender desire herself, so she understands what I'm going through. She got her girl after a first boy, so I'm so happy for her. She'll surely tell me to come in for an ultrasound around 14-15 weeks to find out what we're having. It's a dream!

I haven't posted my sway yet, I'm waiting til after my first appointment, which is this coming Tuesday. She said they'll probably do a scan for dates, so once that is good, then I'll be more comfortable posting my sway.

I had some spotting last night, but I'd also just had a pretty rough bm and I'm hoping that was the cause. It was just ever so slightly pink tinted with two tiny red spots, and was gone by the morning, but it was scary nonetheless.

Well ladies, I'm leaving you. My spotting has gotten heavier today to the point where it is definitely light bleeding and what few symptoms I had are completely gone. Since I dropped the LE with my bfp, once I pass this baby, I will have at least 3 months until we can try again. I hope everyone else has a H&H 9 months!

Not to get your hopes up, but it could be a SCH. My bleeding started at 22DPO too and lasted for about 5 days. The bleeding was like a light period but definitely red, not pink.

I have been spotting on and off since last week. Varied from dark brown, reddish brown, to pink and very red. I went to my ob /gyn appointment today and he did a vaginal ultrasound due to my red spotting and bleeding and we saw a heart beat. They did not see sch but he did say it is a threatened miscarriage. Don't give up hope. Blood is scary to see when your pregnant but it doesn't mean your little bean isn't cooking. I wish you the best and my prayers are with you are that your little bean sticks on hard. Xoxo

Exactly!! I can't believe she is so ignorant boyzmommy!! My boys are the best of friends too. I actually wanted another boy and I remember saying "I don't know what to do if they say "it's a girl" when I was preggo with DS 2. This pregnancy is the first time ever that I actually have a true desired gender but never in a million years would I count myself "the most unlucky girl in the world" if I have another boy on board.

I am so sorry you are going through this :(. I don't think you should count yourself out though without an ultrasound to see whats going on. A friend of mine had a MAJOR bleed at 6 weeks and still had a healthy baby on board and delivered at term. I also had spotting with my first pregnancy at 6 weeks and 9 weeks and all was fine. I hope this is the case for you. :hugs:

Yes, still bleeding. Much heavier now, with slight cramping. My midwife from DS1 said it sounds like a chemical and to wait for the bleeding to stop, then do another test. If it's negative, that was the case.

Thanks

My midwife and ob have both said that anything before 6 weeks is technically a chemical, since the heartbeat isn't detectable on u/s before that, and I'd only be 5w2d at most today if my o date was right. The nurse on call for my ob today said that they might order blood work on Tuesday, but she doubts they'll want to do an u/s as long as the blood work looks normal since my insurance wouldn't cover it at all. She said the ob will most likely just do a test in office and make a decision based on that. I have to agree with them, because $900 for a scan is just not feasible right now.

I'll update you guys if something changes, but for now, I'm going to go ahead and move on so I don't bring this thread down. Good luck ladies!!

I live in France and I've never heard of Harmony, so probably not. It's actually driving me nuts, because I have a feeling this is a pink bean, but maybe it's just because my hopes are up. I'm so afraid to be dissapointed.

And with my first yes, I dreamt of a boy and I knew it was a boy. It was a gut feeling. With the second one, I felt nothing...

I feel just like you. I have a feeling this might be our little girl, but then comes the doubt. Aren't that just my emotions getting in the way? I don't know. I have a hard time enjoying this pregnancy like the 2 others because of my strong gender desire. Can't help on the betas--I've had well into multiples territory with DS2.

Finally had my first appointment today at 11+1. Spent an hour with my midwives and it always feels so luxurious. They want to use my LMP (so 5/28 vs 5/31) as it gives me a few days of wiggle room in case I have another one on the earlier side. I had a bunch of b/w and the MaterniT21 test. She said it takes a couple of weeks (bull--we're in SoCal and so is Sequenom) and I told her I wanted the sex to be sealed in an envelope. Also heard little one's heart beat but they didn't count it today. No ultrasound planned yet, though my kids have now bet money that we're having twins, so now I really just want to rule it out.

I must stay team green. I must stay team green. I must stay team green. I must stay team green.
I must stay team green. I must stay team green. I must stay team green. I must stay team green.

I admire you for wanting to stay team green. Did you do the same with your boys? When is your first ultrasound? I was wondering, wouldn't the midwifes be able to hear 2 heartbeats if there were two in there?

TaytumJ

Hello Ladies,

Hope all is well. Just wanted to pop in to say that I went see my endocrinologist today for a follow up vaginal ultrasound after spotting. To this date (2 weeks from last ultrasound) i am still spotting and I sometimes bleed. I have been put on progesterone oil injections and no sex until 12 weeks. Thankfully baby is growing and doing great with a nice strong heart beat. I have been scheduled to a pareneotologist because I have uncontrolled high blood pressure so I am sure that means a lot of appointments. I also just announced my pregnancy to my mom and two sisters. My kids and entire rest of our families still dont know. I dont want to spread any news only because I still have a miscarriage risk. Wishing everyone a relaxing weekend :)

Glory to God! Happy to report a BFP today!! Hallelujah! First try post laparscopy. It must have been that thickened tissue lining! 14 DPO so I guess that makes me 4 weeks and due in July? Very interesting!! I must admit I was super lax on the diet as of late because I'd been on it for 10 months. Always skipped breakfast though until noon, kept protein low and mostly diet drinks. Lost about 15 pounds this year but 30 in last 2 years. Hubby and I are 54 and 39 respectively. Praying I did just enough!

I do have several issues. The main one is high blood pressure :(, second is the spotting, and third is that i make very large babies. The doc said that main reasons for miscarrying would be the spotting could cause irritation to the baby and its sorroundings, as well as my high blood pressure.

I am so excited.....got my doctors confirmation today. 5 weeks....here's how it went: I've been swaying for a girl to varying degrees since May....hubby is 40 and I'm 36 now so we set a limit til Christmas to ttc. When we attempted this successful time hubby had been away on grueling 6 day cycling trip. I d come down with a terrible cold so had low appetite and took Sudafed for a few days leading up to attempt. We did one attempt in fertile period ( hubby also released beforehand) ....missionary, no orgasm, no gels or douches. Had no symptoms but just very strong feeling about 3 days after attempt. Used First response early test....bought a 3 pack and did one for the he'll of it at toilets at work...5 days before af due and got faint positive!!!! Next morning darker...and 3 days before af due no denying the strong line!!! So excited! Doctor took blood and confirmed today. So thrilled that I've conceived and feeling positive about pregnancy due to early bfp
. Will find out in 7 weeks if it's pink or blue.....

Hi everyone,

I hope all little beans are doing fine in there.

@boyzmommy: my back also hurts a lot when I stand up and I think it's ok to use something hot to relieve the pain. My previous pregnancies (both boys) were also very different, so I don't think that means anything. Just keep the faith untill your gender scan :highfive:

@netti: great news about your scan. You must be so excited. Yesterday on television, there was a mum of 4 boys who gave birth to her 5th child, a little girl. She was just sooo happy and emotional. I hope it will be you very soon.

Here, everything is fine. A little nauseous and some hartburn, but it is for a good cause. I allready have a little bump, so I won't be able to keep it a secret for much longer...

28572

I have a question for all of you who swayed pink or blue. What about the diet? Are you able to eat normally again or do you keep forgetting the diet is over? I did a pretty strict LE diet and since I am pregnant, I find it hard to let go and eat normally again. It's like I don't even remember how it's done.

I know how you guys feel yogi and blue! On DH's side there is only girls and we are very much getting the pressure of a boy. However, on my side there's only two natural girl cousins (including me!) and two girl 2nd cousins so that side is run by boys! Hoping for a little boy for us though. [emoji4]

The longer this pregnancy goes the more at peace I am with boy or girl. After my crazy nub obsession I've come to peace with boy or girl and that makes team green a little easier!

Hope everyone is feeling better! Oh, yogi, I feel like my pee smelled for a while there too! I think it was when HCG was getting so high. I pee in a cup every visit and didn't have a UTI - I think some of it is just pregnancy. [emoji12] Hope yours wasn't anything either!

I am so happy i am not alone and there are a quite few of us desiring little boy ♡ The estrogen and hormones are a bit high with my girls and me In my house. I agree with you Taytum, I think everyone will eventually feel peace with what eve gender comes.

I dont think my pee smell is a uti. I have been drinking a lot of water amd cranberry juice and Still feel very normal. I was doing some research that a lot of women's pee gets stronger with estrogen oil injections. I am wondering if my ob will confirm this when i see him in 2 weeks. It still smells quite potent and i remember with my previous 3 pregnancies that it smelled, just not as this bad. Even with a UTI. It really smells super weird.

Told my MIL today and the first thing she asked after congratulations was; do u know the sex !! Now she will stalk me till i do find it out so i dont think i have any option but to stay team yellow
Aww big hugs to you ♡ I think once you tell them they will continue to ask. My in laws live with me but since they know about my bleeding they are afraid to ask me anything. Hang in there and dont let her be the reason for you finding out the gender if you dont want to. That is your personal choice and your dh only. I hope everything works out in your favor ♡

I have told them thousand times i dont care if its a boy. But they keep insisting. That i m just saying it and i want a girl so bad. Its natural.
How do i tell them to please shut up. I m already stressing about that a lot.
Good thing is they dont say a word infront of my dh. Hes kinda rude with these kind of comments. And they know he love his boys.

Netti congrats on a great ultrasound!!

Fiya I'm starting to get a bloat bump/3rd pregnancy bump as well!! Very cute bump!

We had all boy grandchildren on DH's side until Aug when my SIL had the first girl. She made the comment to DH the other day that she is her mom's favorite because she gave her a granddaughter:mad:. DH told her "you're lucky (my name) is not here because she would punch you in the face"! I just can't stand her sometimes. Like my MIL doesn't love us for giving her beautiful grandsons?!

:agree: totally and it's a bunch of crap anyway. My parents are all over the map with "favorite" grandkids. Changes by the day usually!! My mom was excited to get a granddaughter after 4 grandsons, who wouldn't be, but it wasn't that she "liked" anyone best. She's now super excited over her 6th grandson too. She has 9 grandkids, she's just generally happy about it. boy or girl.

Hey girls. Had my nt scan today for twins. Was so nervous about finding out gender. Doctor said A is a boy and not sure about B but I'm really hesitant to believe him. He based it off potty shot and said he usually doesn't tell gender at 13 weeks but he's very sure. And he knew I have four girls already. So... Still obsessing over gender :/. FTR, I think B has a girly nub but can't make out a nub really on A (the one he says is a boy). And I'm terrified of posting my nub pics and getting all girl guesses so I think I'll just wait until my next scan in three weeks to know for sure. Ugh. Was hoping to see a nice boy nub so I could be more sure!

I have a very personal question for you ladies. I feel embarrassed to ask but I need to. I feel like a perverted person just talking about it :(

Lately I have been having these very wild and exotic dreams where I feel and slightly wake in between my dreams and feel that I am having an orgasm. I don't remember having this at all with my other kids and I dont go to sleep thinking about anything I shouldn't since Im tired and exhausted 99% of the time. Thank you ladies for your replies ♡ Its more of a guilt trip I'm experiencing at the moment. Its feels great when I am experiencing it at that precise moment but since they put me on no sex until my next appointment I feel horrible since the dh has been asking for it and I have also been wanting to as well. I was also worried that it was going to make my spotting worse since your cervix contracts during an orgasm so I would be even more upset when I was at my worst days of spotting and had an episode. I really hope I can enjoy them in the future but now is not the time for me. :/

Woo hoo Magical and Hopper a H&H 9 months 😁

Ive been abit quiet. Dealing with consistent nausea and light headedness due to low bp. Had it with my last 2 pregs but its really hit me this week. Plus i think its all the nights ive been doing. I feel if i try to be more positive rather than focusing on the sick feeling it helps at least to get on with things.

I seen my psychic-medium today, first time in person. She had lots to say about my boys and life in general however she's adamant that I have a girl on board. Even got to 'feel baby's energy'. So this helps with staying team green but will certainly see when it gets here.

Hope all are well xx

Thank you ladies. Haven't seen a doctor yet as they are so useless over here about pregnancy sickness (basically think you're making it up unless you vomit on them), tried taking my trusty avomine (promethazine) which worked to some extent with both of my previous pregnancies, but they haven't made any difference (other than making me delightfully sleepy, which is blissful as when I'm asleep I'm not being sick) so have stopped taking them. Has anyone taken any meds in previous pregnancies that have helped? Hopper? It's just such an awful situation to be in, I was so determined to be healthy and strong for this little bean but I can't eat anything even vaguely nutritious and I am terrified to take medication, but also hate that I basically feel like I'm dying. If I had a few mins respite each day to look forward to I think I could get through it, but there is nothing!

On a less gloomy note, Congrats and welcome magical and hopper!

I have taken several but nothing eased mine! The oral ones made me worse so I was admitted for injection ones which gave me migraines. I found mine peaked at week 9 on both boys so hopefully you are coming through the worst of it and find some relief soon! My motto for the longest time was "whatever it takes" I would do anything to just make it through the day. The only thing that helped me was getting the IV fluids and even that was just for a few hours before it would start again. I'm trying to be optimistic that this is a different pregnancy, different baby so hopefully it will be a different type of illness - or better still no illness lol.

Fox****blue & netti Hope you gals feel better soon. I have been there 3 times before. I hear vitamin b6 helps ease the nausea. My last pregnancy was the only one where I was given medicine for vomiting since i was loosing so much weight :(

Hi ladies, I'm a bit hesitant about popping in here due to my history of miscarriage. Really hoping I can hang out here with you lovely ladies. If my O date was right (which I'm quite certain due to O pains and cm) it makes me 5wks with a due date of the 30th July. Same as you Mommacass!

I swayed pink and I think I'll stay team green for now.

PS: loving all these November bfps!

Thanks so much Mammcass! I've been feeling ok. I get waves of nausea and I'm quite tired. Sorry tmi I've also been getting bouts of diarrhea. One thing that's always on my mind is the AF like cramps I've been getting which I associate with miscarriage but i also know it can be normal parts of early pregnancy.

How have you been feeling?

Congrats to everyone who is joining!! Yay!! Also, every time I see your name poptart I just really want a poptart!! [emoji12]

Hope all you ladies are finding some relief from your sickness and nausea. I also had diarrhea too and the cramps, Violet. I still get them and they make me so nervous even though I'm 15w now!
