@boyzmommy: definitely looks like a little princess to me. My boys didn't look at all like that at 15 weeks, because there was a thing sticking out very clearly. Congrats!!!!
@Mammacas: beautiful picture of your little bean.
@boysboys: I guess you're right about everyone getting their desired gender. I hope it stays that way.
I wish all of you a Merry Christmas!!!

Boyzmommy how lovely to be buying your daughter clothes. It must feel very bizarre.
I too had a great Christmas with my family but feel I'm paying for it now. Christmas and Boxing Day I was feeling great no nausea. Then last night and today I feel absolutely exhausted. I've been just resting in bed with hayfever, flu symptoms and a terrible cough. To top it off my nausea has come back today. I'm so lucky DH is on holidays to help me. I don't think I'd be coping on my own.

It's an amazing feeling Boyzmommy and dont feel bad for feeling that way. I can say I still feel weird buying boy clothes even after I was told boy. I get feelings of disbelief to this day :)
I really hope you feel better soon Violet. Could thr nausea just be part of the cold I hope? Keep hydrated and stay warm. Hugs to you♡
I had a great Christmas with my family and the DHs. After we told the inlaws about this baby being a boy, they immediately announced it on Facebook before I had the chance to do so, but I felt bad taking that joy away so we had no choice to post our announcement too. It was nice to get best wishes and Congratulations but I still don't feel out of the woods just yet. I pray every day for this baby to make it. I saw my high risk doctor this past Thursday and released me from disability which means I go back to work since my last bleed. Thankfully I have been blood free since my appointment with my pareneotologist :) It was nice while it lasted but ai was also told I will be seen every two weeks till delivery because of my high blood pressure..i am not looking forward to all of those appointments :(

Yogi I can't believe they announced on FB before you!:worry: That's great that you get to go back to work! Hopefully it makes you feel better that they are monitoring you well.
At my family's Christmas Eve party my uncle gave me a hug and said " congratulations! You hoping for a girl this time? " and I said "yeah, we're hoping" and my cousin laughed and said "well the odds are definitely not in your favor! Hahaha" I didn't think it was funny at all:rolleyes:. I was so annoyed!

Thanks violet. Yeah it feels so different to call her a she. [emoji8]hope ur nausea gets better. I have been feeling tired and down as well. My christmas n boxing day over activeness is paying off now. [emoji37]
I still think it can be a boy and keeping all receipts with me.
Yogi may b we are so used to of having of sex at home that we are in disbelief i guess [emoji12]
Enjoy going back to work but take lots if rest. I have been having brownish discharge and not sure what that is with cramps. I ll ask my ob on 5 th jan. I am praying for this bean to be in my arm with all her health [emoji120]🏻
It was very weird of them announcing on fb b4 u but wht can u do with in laws
Luvmyfam. I have no idea why ppl behave like this. My sil sent me a post saying "theres no blessing in house where's no daughter. And when God is happy he bless u with a daughter".
She told me on christmas party that she thinks i m hving another boy n my chances are thin of getting a daughter.
I was a little pissed off. Shes preg as well n i guess having a second daughter but she had a son too. I have no clue why ppl r so mean n rude[emoji21]

Oh boyz it must be wonderful to be buying pink! I am thrilled for you, and yogi too!! Don't mind your SIL, what an absolute wagon!! It amazes me how some people think. I logged into FB today to see a due date mommy from my first DS putting up a status saying she's so happy she has only girls cause she loves the pinkness. When I was pg with DS2 she told me she couldn't imagine my pain at having one "dirty boy" let alone two! She's just ignorant.
Yogi that's mad your in laws announced before you! The joys of in laws eh!! Great you haven't had any more bleeds so hopefully the rest of your pregnancy will be smooth sailing xx
Luvmyfam your cousin is just ill informed! I keep telling myself every day that I have a great chance at a girl even without swaying. So many people around me lately have popped out a girl after having a boy or vice versa. Why is it so easy for some and seems impossible for others! I have however come to the conclusion that whatever gender this baby is he or she is destined to be here, and will be our third and final child - a decision I would never have made before but now I am at peace with whatever is meant to be. Of course my hopes are up that this is a girl but a boy will be love just as much.
Our Xmas was quiet. I'm nauseous all the time, big change from the Hyperemesis I had on the boys but no less unpleasant. I am dog tired too, DH has brought the boys to visit my in laws and I am panned out watching movies. I got my scan appt on Xmas eve, its for Fri 8th Jan. I will be 10+1 by LMP but most likely 2-3 days less than that. Too early for nub shot, too late for Ramzi. Is there anyway I can guess from a scan around that stage? DH has pleaded with ne not to get Harmony so since he doesn't even want to know gender at all I have relented and won't be getting it. I guess it wouldn't have any bearing on us knowing vs not knowing if anything was wrong. And I'm OK with not knowing. But waiting to find out gender til mid to late March may just kill me!!!

Luvmyfam that's so inconsiderate and mean of your cousin. I dont know why someone can be so rude to a pregnant woman. :/ I always say Karma
OMG Boyzmommy this is unbelievable for her to send you a post and in person. Why are our closest relatives the rudest. They could at least have the common courtesy to at least to try and be nice. Im so sorry you and Luvmyfam had to go through this whole ordeal. Hugs to you ♡
Wow really Hopper? Im sure she longed for a son just did not show it. I think we all deep down inside long for the opposite sex we dont have. Have you tried vitamin b6 ? I hear it works great on minimizing nausea. Have you checked skull theory? Hope you feel better soon ♡
I forgot to mention the inlaws live with me and care for my girls and my dh is there only son [emoji14] and before i could say anything to their question of can we post it on Facebook my dh said please let them and I mentioned about his cousins recent loss and he ignored as if I had not said anything so I said fine. They were on cloud 9, I just wish I had waited till after New years since I am not showing at all yet. Thank you girls for understanding ♡

Luvmyfam that's terrible that your cousin said that. They probably don't realize how much they are upsetting you sayying things like that. I'm not looking forward to those sorts of comments when I decide to announce.
Boyzmommy I'm sure the spotting is nothing to worry about as long as it's not bright red. But definitely mention to your ob.
Hopper sorry you're feeling so nauseous I know how you're feeling. Enjoy your time alone resting and watching movies.

Boyz I can't believe anyone would ever think that, let alone send it to a pregnant woman. No blessings without a daughter?! And hopper she said the "pain" of having a "dirty boy"?!? She's got to be jealous. These people obviously don't know how amazing it is to have boys! They're so precious and sweet and silly! And they LOVE their mommas!! Yogi and violet my cousin and I have always been close but sometimes she says things without thinking how it will make the other person feel. And I do think she has feelings of jealousy as well whether this baby is a boy or a girl.

That's good to hear luvmyfam. We have quite a few of those relatives on my husband's side and say the darnest things without thinking.
Are any of you gals experiencing round ligament pain? Mine seems to suddenly have gotten more intense and my lower spine is bugging me too. I dont know if its because I have been laying in bed a lot lately :/ My husband thinks I am tylenol addicted. If you are is there any recommendations on what else can help reduce the discomfort?

It is going to be so hard to not know now knowing we could!! But I really want to find out in a special way with DH on our date night on Jan. 9th. It just seems SO far away!
But I'm so happy my baby is healthy so far!!

I definitely over indulged and wore myself out over Christmas - so exhausted and it's taking everything I have to get out and do things with the kids lol sorry to hear you are sick Violet.
Good to hear you haven't had anymore bleeding yogi. Girls we announced just to close family at Christmas and I have already also had the comments re gender from one of them. I do think some of its jealousy as they have all of one gender also. Boyz those messages and comments from your cousin though are just plain spitefullness, can understand you being a little pissed off!
Hopper looking forward to pics from your scan!!

Hi girls!
I'm pregnant and due in August 2016 (probably 26th)
I have 2 little sons I love soooooo much 😍😍😍 and hope for girl, but I would love a little boy too.
I went HT Spring 2015, was pregnant but then had a misscarriage on the 12th of August at 6SA (No HB, first of my Life). It was really hard but DH and I decided to try naturally for the third one and I ordered a personal plan to Atomic and began mid-August.
I am dying to know now lol.
Had an early trāsvaginal scan at 5w6d
29096
It seems to be on the left. I found my DS2 scan and placenta was on the right (same tech, transvaginal too)
I sent scans to thegenderexperts, I know this is not at all 100% but I want to know soooooo much lol

This baby I have is SO ACTIVE! The nurse commented on this when she did a Doppler at 16weeks, but I wasn't able to feel movement then. Now at 19+4 I feel him/her I feel like all the time! Basically any time I sit down and eat (which is frequently haha) baby begins going at it! I can even SEE my stomach begin to move! So crazy!!
So, anyone else have crazy babies with any of your others? I'm feeling like this baby will come out giving us a run for our money, but I surely hope not! And maybe boys are more active than girls? Any thoughts ladies - just so interesting!

My first was a crazy mover. Her bump was high up and she would kick right in my stomach and diaphragm. Was awefully annoying. And she did it all the time. She did have issues with reflux and colic and has always been a poor sleeper. My second DD has always been a passive child up until her terrible two's.
That being said I dont think baby's gender has anything to do with movements and i do feel there isnt any proven relation between colick and reflux problems and intrauterine movements.
At 17+5 i feel the baby but only flickers in my lower belly. Hope its doesnt get as bad as with DD1

Taytum I was just going to ask the same question. I have a very extremely active baby. I started feeling flutters at 12 weeks and now its full blow with kicks and punches. It's very true that you are more sensitive to feeling movement after multiple pregnancies. This is my fourth and It feels weird to feel so much since I am not showing yet :)

My oldest was a crazy mover, always rolling and kicking, we even have video of him pressing his feet and hands against my stomach. My youngest on the other hand, was very calm. I barely remember him moving at all. He was a preemie though and came before I really got too big so maybe he just had more space to move around.

I think it's so interesting to really hear about the different personalities these babies already have! This is my first pregnancy and I feel like I've been feeling this little one since at least 18 weeks. Sometimes I think that his/her front is facing my belly button and he/she is just going to town with jabs and kicks out the front of my belly! Still doesn't feel like there's really a human in there.
I hope I have an amazing sleeper! And overall just a good baby. A friend of mine had her baby in April and he had colic throughout basically all of summer and she was miserable. Just hope we can avoid that!

I hope too that you Have an amazing sleeper in here. I think there is a little link between baby's movements and his/her personnality (calm or not) but not too much. Don't remember a big difference between DS1 and DS2, but DS1 was an amazing sleeper (like I didn't understand why some young parents seemed so exhausted 😜) and DS2 was all the contrary, he didn't sleep at night for 1 year, this is how I did understand some parents😛 Lol)
Atomic told me not to trust the gender experts and just to wait until possible to know! I really hope that this Baby Will stay with me. Can't wait to be 3 months+
Have a scan on 7th of January, can't wait!

My cousin told me when my oldest was 6 weeks old that you are supposed to start laying them down "drowsy but awake" between 6-8 weeks" so that they can learn to fall asleep on their own. I had no clue! I started a bedtime routine and laying him down awake at 7 weeks old and by 8 weeks he slept 8 hours a night. At 12 weeks he started sleeping 12 hours a night and always did after that. My second little guy was a totally different personality but we started the same routine with him and he started sleeping 8 hours a night around 14 weeks of age. I had never heard that learning to fall asleep is a learned skill until I became a mommy but it truly is!
They definitely have their little personalities before they are born! DS 2 was my lazy baby in utero and he was a very lazy baby and didn't care to walk until 14.5 months!

Master his swaddling technique! It's the best and works wonders! Although you may have to double swaddle them- mine are houdini's! I only swaddle to sleep though.

Speaking of swaddling and houdini babies which swaddle do u guys like and recommend ? I am thinking of giving woombie a try this time around bcoz from experience a good swaddling can make a ton of difference

The HaloSleepsack was the only thing we found that was small enough for our youngest but could keep his arms in. We tried the woombie and because his arms were free inside- he would just wriggle them up to the neck and get stuck and wake up crying. My oldest hated the swaddle so we didn't use it. He was my best sleeper though. We co slept from day 1 til about 9 months and he slept through the night in his crib by a year. My little guy was the opposite. Because of being in the NICU and then on monitors at home, we had to start him out in a bassinet and he still doesn't sleep through the night at almost 2. He wakes up once or twice and needs rocked back to sleep.

I have used the halosleepsack as well in past and would recommend it.
I have heard of this "arms being free inside" problem with woombie before as well.

I wondered about swaddles as well - have you heard about the Love to Dream swaddles?? They seem counterintuitive to swaddling but seem to get good reviews? Target Mobile : Expect More. Pay Less. I guess though thinking about it more, babies do have their hands near their faces a lot in the womb and that makes sense that they want to still do that but feel confined?

None of those have worked for me. I don't like the Woombie because they can obstruct their nose by moving their hands up to their neck. The fabric bunches and scares the bejeebies out of me! The Halo sleep sack didn't help with the Moro reflex so my guys woke up when their arms flexed.
I use cotton swaddle blankets (I'll try to post the ones I have). They aren't super stretchy so you can wrap them nice and tight. I wrap him up with two blankets. The first one I get tight as I can and the second I wrap tighter in case I didn't the first time. I use Dr. Karp's wrapping style with the arms by their sides. Works like a charm for a great nights sleep! DS2 and DS3 slept through the night at 4 weeks! Although they also gain a lot of weight- 1lb a week while nursing until they get to two months! My milk has a high fat content so maybe that helps too? I still think the double swaddle with cotton blankets with arms by their sides helps.
Google Dr. Karp's swaddle technique to see how to do it. Remember to get it tight up high not by their tummy. Gas will back up that way.

There īs still a great chance our babies are pink😍🙏
When could I do Harmony test the earlier girls? 12 weeks?
And What do you think of drinking one cup of green tea every day? Is it safe for the baby?

PLEASE don't put any stock into Ramzi's theory. DS3 implanted in the left, and I even ovulated from my left ovary! He is very much a boy and NOT a girl [emoji6].
My point is, no matter which side implantation occurred, no matter which side you ovulated from, etc, you STILL have a chance at your DG!

You can do any NIPT- Non-Invasive Prenatal Test- from 10 weeks on. Some say as early as 9 weeks, but my geneticist said 10 weeks and above is ideal. Personally, I would have it done before your NT scan.

I'm not sure if someone on here has said this, or if it was someone on another thread, but I thought I would share. The nervousness, anxiety of not getting the DG is normal and will go away once you snuggle with your newborn! I believe that we are given the child we need and not the child we want, as can be said for many other areas/situations in our life. Having your precious little baby will make things better...you will still need to process your feelings though and your desire may still be there. This surprised me. I know someone who had horrible GD and they still continued to struggle after they got their DG. Feelings are feelings and they need to be dealt with, otherwise they continue to transfer to something else if not.
Hang in there! It's totally normal and natural! All of you lovely ladies have done and are still doing an amazing job! Growing a new human is AMAZING [emoji4]!!!

I have never heard of easyDNA- so I can't speak to it. I am familiar with MaterniT21, Harmony, Verify, Panorma, etc. These all are extremely reliable at 10 weeks or later. I personally wouldn't wait much beyond 10 weeks, since by the time you get the results you will have had a scan that will tell you gender most likely. Most NT scans taken at 13 weeks will tell you gender.

I was told if I had red blood with any cramping, to call my doctor immediately. Any other kind of blood (pink or brown) or red bleeding that lasted less than 6 hours with no cramping, could just wait until the next business day.
I've had spotting of some kind every 2-3 days for the past month and bled heavy red regularly while pg with DS1. My OB says while it's not "normal", it is common.

Taytum If you have a lot of family and friends amd this is your first baby I would hold off on your stroller, car seat, some of the big things. Usually everyone is generous at the first bany shower.
We have an extremely large family and I have a close-knit of co-worker's so I have already been asked if they can get me the stroller, car seats and swing. My sister has a few baby shower give aways :) I would hang in there with shopping. I think clothes is probably what you may want to look for, or your crib set :) How exciting for you to have already bought your crib. Taytum I've never seen this particular swaddle. Im not sure a newborn would like this but maybe a baby that's a little older. I'm a NICU nurse and when able we always try to swaddle babies with their hands together under their chin. They do love to have their hands together and close to their face :). I personally LOVE the muslin swaddle blankets. They are huge, so for a newborn you really have to fold the corner down really far but I even get little preemies swaddled in them. They are breathable so the baby won't overheat and they're SO soft! You can buy them at target as well! Hope you had fun baby shopping! I know I was so overwhelmed for my first. I would definitely look into swings that plug in. Its a pain to change batteries all the time with the battery operated ones. Also, if you are going to use bottles at all, I wouldn't buy a ton of a certain kind because babies have preference for certain one's and you might have to figure out which one works best after baby is here. Definitely leave some of the bigger things for your showers if you will have them.

Well I had ultrasound and supposed to be 7weeks but they said 6weeks and too early for heart beat which is scary since measuring a week behind, according to ER dr he can't tell if I'm miscarrying other than doing beta today, which was 50,000, and then try and get Ob to test Monday. So according to ER dr I have a UTI, pelvic infection, yeast infection, large ovarian cyst, engorged pelvic blood vessels, and possible miscarrying. Pray for me that I'm not losing my baby.

Happy new year ladies, I've been very hit and miss these past couple of weeks and have a LOAD of pages to catch up on! I hope you, and bumps, are all keeping well. Everything is quiet here, had a lovely Christmas other than being very fatigued and suffering quite a lot of nausea - but that seems to be lifting now thankfully. I have a follow-up scan after the UTI at my local EPU next Friday. I will be 10+1 by LMP but reckon I'm about 2-3 days less going by my own dates. Nervous but hopefully everything will be ok :)
As for the never ending, always lurking GD - I am much more at peace with the idea of a third boy now than I was before getting pregnant. A close friend of mine recently found out her fourth son (she hadn't heard of swaying but tried Shettles for a girl) has a very serious heart defect and he may not survive long post delivery, and if he does it will be operation after operation for a long long time. It really puts things in perspective for me. I know we all obviously hope for a healthy child, thats a given, but I think during the past year I took the idea of health for granted.
I have found a great deal of solace in XXs words on a previous page - that we are given the baby we need. I look at DS1, who was "my girl" long before he was born and for the longest time after he was here I grieved for that baby girl. I never felt that grief with DS2, I knew he was a boy long before the sonographer ever told me. I knew it in my heart and I was thrilled with a boy second time around but with DS1 he was "supposed to be a girl" or at least I felt that way for ages. Now I look at the bond we have and I don't think I could get through the day without him in it. He is the absolute LOVE of my life. He was, and is, most definitely the child I didn't know I needed. And this baby will be the same - boy or girl. I can't say if my GD is at peace for good but at least for now and the foreseeable future I can be at ease in the knowledge that this child is destined for me.

Hopper, I totally agree re the health thing putting gender things in perspective - in the days after the birth of our second DD a very large birthmark developed on her forehead, cheek and scalp, and after running lots of tests they found she has something called PHACES syndrome, albeit very mildly. We have been extremely lucky as she appears to be totally healthy (despite having a horrible experience this time last year when after multiple rushes to A&e in the middle of the night as she couldn't breathe they discovered a second birthmark growing and obstructing 70% of her airway) and her facial birthmark is slowly fading, but on our journey we have met some amazing families and I have become very aware of the huge heartbreak and health issues that people face with their children. So we too are just praying and praying for a healthy bub! That said, we would still absolutely love it if the healthy bub were a boy! And despite being a little disappointed that DD2 was a girl, we were so overwhelmed by all the medical stuff that I didn't have the slightest GD when she was born and now I just absolutely love my two girls, as you say they are both totally perfect for me and our family, birthmarks and all!
With my last two pregnancies I was blissfully naive I suppose, and saw my scans mostly just as an exciting chance to see the baby and find out the gender, but this time around I am much more scared about finding something wrong. I have my NT scan tomorrow morning and I am terrified! Will be trying to persuade the sonographer to get a nub shot for me, but based on past experience our sonographers aren't quite as obliging as some in other countries!

Pps just wanted to make sure it didn't sound like I was saying that people shouldn't have GD because it is not important (if I thought that I wouldn't be here!) or that someone's GD isn't as important as my daughter's health issues - I totally get that it is a very real thing and I experienced it myself with DD1. We actually have told very few people that we have been swaying or hoping for a boy partly because I was concerned that people would think 'how on earth can they be bothered about gender given what they have faced with Emma (dd2)?' But you can care about both health and gender at the same time and I'm not ashamed to admit that whilst we pray primarily for health for this little one we would also love and pray for a boy!

I just 're-read my post and the exact same thing came into my mind. I truly hope my earlier post didn't come across as non-GD friendly or understanding. I apologise if it does come across that way, that wasn't what I intended at all.
I have suffered with GD backwards and forwards, up and down for almost 5 years now so I know too well what a horrible burden it is to bear. I lived this horrible in between life even before having my first son where I was waiting on my daughter. I could SEE her, I named her, I knew she was there. And the GUILT that came after, ugh. You all know what I'm talking about I'm sure. That guilt can still get to me. I enjoyed delivering my eldest son, not many women can say that I'm sure, but I hate to relive the memory as it just brings back how I felt which reinforces the guilt!
I think I just needed to write the words down to really know how I felt, if that makes sense - so thank you ladies for being my unsuspecting sounding board. I feel better in myself and this pregnancy having written the words down. Obviously I hold onto hope that the child we are destined to have is my longed for daughter, I'm sure that want won't go away overnight, if ever but I am so much more at ease with whatever comes. Funny that only a fortnight ago I was trying myself up in knots over a friend who is also the mother of boys said that we will be lesser women for never birthing and rearing women. She was obviously in the pits of GD herself, she is very open about wanting a girl, so I wasn't offended by her words as they encompassed us both but they really stung and I was beating myself up for not getting a scan pic at my last scan so I could Ramzi it until it disintegrated. It's funny cause two weeks ago I would have probably made myself sick with the anxiety I felt at never having a daughter but now I'm here and can't muster a single drop of anxiety (says her with the history of anxiety and anxiety meds lol!) Long may the feeling last cause I don't miss feeling GD whatsoever!
Heres hoping we all get the healthy child that was destined for us - that may just be the gender we desire too! Xxxxx

If it's any consolation hun I began to feel better from about 12-14 weeks on my guys. And for what it's worth I really think you will hear blue!!
Best of luck at your NT tomorrow! Sending lots of positive vibes and hoping for a nub shot (though I am woefully inexperienced!!)
Also thank you for sharing your story about DD2! I am glad she is ok and is able to live life as normally as possible. You are absolutely blessed with your little ladies, as am I with my gentlemen. I think GD makes us more grateful at least that's what I am feeling more recently. Hate to think how I have taken things for granted in the past - like the scans you mentioned. It is definitely naivety, nothing more. Maybe we were lucky to be so naive for so long!
Can't wait for your update on the NT tomorrow xxx

So nice to hear from you Hopper and Foxcub!!! I don't think anything you ladies said would or could be taken the wrong way!!
So I just turned 15 weeks today and I still "don't think" I have felt the baby move. Nothing that has been obviously the baby anyway. I know it is early but I am pretty sure that I have felt at least 4 of my babies by now, even my posterior placenta baby (which this one is not), I just can't help but worry, and it's times like this I wish I had purchased a fetal Doppler. My next appointment is in 8 days!

I never felt this anxiety b4

Hopper and foxcub i know what you mean. We had a scare with our last boy. Hes severely deaf in his left ear from birth and when we found out after his test my heart just sank. Everything from his development to when he was an adult went through my head in a flash. I guess it was more the concept of actually taking it in as then i just thought if that is the worst he could face we will all get through it together. Hes 11 months now and you can't even tell. But im certainly crossing everything for our girl but also a healthy baby.
Sorry i have been mia ladies. It has been extremely busy this end as ive dealt with nausea, dizziness and fatigue plus work 4 nights a week christmas etc. Its just been non stop.
Im off to have my nt scan tmro and ill be 13+4. Im wondering what my chances are of them seeing what bubs is 😂
I can definitely say i am team yellow now. After much thought me and hubby are finding out what this baby is but keeping it to ourselves. Theres 2 reasons for this. 1. Even though my psychic-medium insists this is a girl im reluctant to wait 9 months just incase. This is our last baby so if it is a boy, having some time to reflect and accept that is what i need. 2. Anatomy scan is right around ds4's first birthday. I don't want to overshadow his special time with a gender announcement particularly if it is a girl.
I haven't felt any flutters yet but im sure i will soon
Will update you all tmro
Best of luck foxcubblue xx

Ok ladies, here are the pics of our little Pip!!!! Sooooo relieved that everything looks ok. I don't think the sonographers got a picture of the nub (possibly something in the third pic?) as she didn't know what she was looking for - I thought I saw it flash by a few times but don't know enough to interpret what I saw!

Fox- I'm shotty at nub guessing, but I hope someone can tell for you. What a beautiful baby though! [emoji7]
You ladies are right - GD is a real thing and sometimes it scares me that I had it so badly with my first. You all are right though that heal this number one - after our struggles to get pregnant I worried that we'd never conceive and that really knocked me down on the GD scale. Also, my bffs are having a girl in February and sometimes I think about how great it would be to have a girl with them, which makes me feel neutral on this one being a boy or a girl. It's such an interesting thing GD!

Hi everyone,
I have been visiting my family for the last 10 days, so I haven't been around here at all, but I have read all the 15 pages I had missed out on :giggle: You definitely talk a lot.
@foxcubblue: thinking boy too! Congrats.
@lovmyfam: I don't know how you deal with your sealed envelop. I would have allready peeked the first day lol. I'm such a curious person.
@Taytum: how lovely that your baby moves a lot. Both my boys were very active belly movers and guess what... they still are!

Netti I can't tell anything from these pics. It looks like I might see a little bit of a nub in the 3rd pic but it's upside-down so it's inaccurate. Sorry you're feeling down. Can you get a private scan at 15 or 16 weeks?
netti02
January 5th, 2016, 10:28 AM
Thanks luvmyfam. Im acutally considering it. Not really wanting to wait another 6 weeks for anatomy scan. I'll ring a few places tmro just depends on the price.
She intially said girl as she couldn't see anything dangling down when baby was upside down- would there be anything dangling down at 13 and a half weeks? Then when baby was in position for the nub shot was when she said likely boy as nub was raised. I was in abit of shock and didn't think to ask for a pic of that shot. Im starting to question everything about her theory. The only thing is shes been doing this a while but i guess even the experts get it wrong sometimes.
I never knew about the nub theory before so haven't ever asked gender at nt scans for my previous pregnancies. I might get out my boys old u/s pics and have a comparison. I know the skull looks boyish 😂😂 and very much like my boys ones.

@netti: I get that it drives you crazy. That's why I'm a little bit afraid for my scan on Friday. If tech tells me girl first and then boy, I'll be devastated. But we'll see on Friday, I try not to think about it too much. A private scan is that expensive in the US? Here it costs around 30-40 euros (comparable to dollars) for a gender scan.
@Taytum: lovely pictures of your little bean. He/she is adoooorable.

Had my first ob appointment today, nothing new to report though. They estimate I'm around 8 weeks and they're having me come back in 2 weeks to check for a heartbeat with the Doppler, then if they can't find one, they'll do an u/s. They did have me sign paperwork for McKenna today, so I guess I'll be doing weekly appointments once I hit 17 weeks :/ I hate that I'll have to make the 100 mile round trip drive into the city every week, but the doctor said it cuts my risk of having another preemie dramatically. Hopefully the insurance covers them, as I've heard it usually doesn't.
I have to decide in the next two weeks if I want to do any genetic testing, as it won't be covered by insurance at all.

4 more days until DH and I have our date night, 13 week ultrasound and our own private gender reveal!! I'm so excited but getting a little nervous! I think when we have our scan I will ask for a nub shot if possible and post it for you girls to guess before I tell you!

Hi all,
I remember some of your names from back in the TTC days last year. I hope you don't mind me joining at this late stage, wasn't sure I'd ever be back to this site, but here I am, 14 weeks with my natural rainbow after the worst year of my life.

Well ladies today was my appointment with Ob after my ER visit, betas are still going up (Sat-50,000, Mon-72,000, today-110,000). But There was still only a strong yolk sac and no fetal pole measuring at 6weeks0days just like Saturday. There was second yolk sac in the same gestational sac right next to the other sac but it was lighter and looks like it is deteriorating (vanishing twin) which he said could be the reason my betas are high and that the other sac hasn't developed a fetal pole yet because my body was dealing with 2 yolk sacks. He said he can't say confirmed yet because no fetal pole and heart beat which again he said is weird because betas are high. Wants to do another scan in 2 weeks to see if I have progressed. If I have then all is good, if I haven't I have lost both babies and not just 1. I feel more discouraged now than before even though my Hcg levels are going up.

Alright ladies I feel bad for doubting my last gender scan so I sneaked and went to another scan without telling my dh and it's still boy. He's a little upset since I did not ask or invite but I told him he would have said no or tried to convince me not to do it [emoji13] The place is also doing a promotional trial which includes a genetic test to confirm the gender by blood with all of their gender scans. I dont know what the test is called but I go for the blood work on the 19th.

Thank you mammacas I appears that all my scans look funky from day one, even the profile one's, since the placenta is always obstructing the view but we got a few glimpses of his boy parts a few times and she did not capture the first ones thinking she would get a better image but baby got lazy and started crossings its legs. This was the last one after eating a few pieces of candy and drinking juice and ice water :/

Congrats yogi on your confirmation!! Although we didn't find out, she said baby's legs were crossed and he/she wasn't being flashy but that she knew by the end of it. Makes me really hope it's a boy - thinking she had to see something even if legs crossed?
Welcome Boom and congrats!! I would agree - I think if you heard girl it's very real that it's a girl - go buy some pink!! [emoji6][emoji166]
Signing - so sorry you're in limbo. I don't know much, but it makes sense to me why your numbers are high right now but no heartbeat yet. Still seems a little early to detect one at only 6w? I really hope you get your answers soon!

Trying to catch up a bit!
Signingmommy, I am sorry that you are in limbo, I will be praying that you have a healthy baby and positive outcome. I think it is a good sign that betas are rising steadily.
Congrats on hearing girl boyzmommy and congrats yogi on your little man!! So exciting.
Taytum, those pics are amazing!!!! So precious!!
Welcome to you Boom and congrats on your rainbow baby girl!! I have heard Harmony is extremely accurate!
I also just had the Harmony Test done and I just got the news today that I am having a girl!!!! So like you I am doubting its accuracy because I think I was in shock!
I am extremely happy and blessed!!
I also have an anatomy scan next week so hopefully I will get double confirmation!!
Hoping that I did not forget anyone, it is so hard to keep up!
Hopefully all of you dealing with morning sickness, it will start to ease up. Mine still decides to visit but is definitely better. I am 17 weeks!

Congrats on your girl djmommy!! How exciting!!! [emoji177][emoji177] Can't wait until you see the real deal at your anatomy scan, but you can safely say you've got a girl! I love all this desired gender happening in this thread!
I think baby must have opened up at the end, but she didn't tell us that because we said we didn't want to know. Hubby and I both think we saw something, but since we didn't ask she didn't tell. [emoji12] I had a dream last night I had another u/s and it was obvious boy. Hope that's a sign!
