@Milybaby - yes like Fiya said, unfortunately its possible that morning sickness can last the entire pregnancy, but most of the time it eases between 12 ad 20 weeks. my last 2 pregnancies were very different to this one, no morning sickness, lots of energy, feeling hungry and enjoying food. This time I feel like a zombie, I have nasty morning sickness, no energy and just feel bleh all the time. I also had an early positive pregnancy test, and the tests reacted very quickly which surprised me.
I have my NIPT blood test booked for next wednesday so I will find out around a week after that... it is honestly driving me bonkers not knowing... i feel like im not lucky enough to carry a girl, that all my body knows how to do is carry boys lol

@Milybaby: I'm actually still nauseous in the mornings and evenings, so I can't garantee you it will pass at 15w. It can last all pregnancy actually. I feel like crap at the moment. I have very vivid nightmares all night long, heartburn, low blood pressure, soooo tired, nauseous, I look horrible... But it's for a good cause :giggle:

4 days left until my scan and I'm starting to panic!!! I want to know, but I'm afraid to be disappointed. I have been looking at girl names and girl clothes all day long. I can't seem to stop doing it. I hope time will fly!

What a hard waiting!!! Last days Must be sooooo long and difficult... I do really hope you carry your girl, phrase let It be It for u🙏!

I just couldn't pass them up, and they were only $1, so if I don't use them, I won't feel too bad.

DH also surprised me by telling me he paid for one of the 'do it at home and send it out to a lab' blood tests to find out the sex of the baby, so I get to do that in the next week or so! I'm not going to put too much stock in it since it's not as accurate as the tests the doctor can do, but it'll still be fun to try out and if it says girl at least I can have a little hope until my anatomy scan.

yea but 2 weeks feels like an eternity at the moment, I just want to relax and enjoy the experience of carrying this special little bundle. Yea I understand what you mean, I am trying so hard not to let my longing for a girl, take away the importance of a beautiful baby being added to my family which will be very loved.

I had a routine checkup today with my dr, all going well and dr was able to pick up bubs heartbeat with a Doppler at 12wks so that was lovely to hear [emoji4]

I think she still has a couple hours to go. It's almost 8 am here in Alberta and so that would make it almost 10 am her time, if I correctly remember which province she's in.

Luvmyfam I'm absolutely in love with your name choice!! It definitely makes baby feel more present when they are named. DS2 was Zachary for about 3 months of our pregnancy until we made the mistake of telling my BIL who proceeded to find "funny" nicknames and ways of distorting his accent to make it sound ridiculous. If DS2 had already been HERE I'm sure BIL wouldn't have done those things but honestly I'm glad we changed his name then cause we ended up naming him after DH except changing it a little and his name suits him to a tee :) Have definitely learned NOT to share before baby is here this time lol!

MilyBaby I got a bfp at 9dpo this time and at 9dpo on DS2, it was 13dpo on DS1. Only difference in symptoms this go around is I haven't had Hyperemesis (thus far!) like I did on my two boys. I had it from week 5-20 on both of them and lost close to 20lbs weight, I'm here at week 12 and nausea is pretty much gone since week 10 with the exception of one bad day earlier this week and have steadily gained weight (but I had weight to gain since doing LE had me looking gaunt and ill lol) Oh one other difference is my bbs are still killing me. Never had this as a sign on DS2, slight tenderness on DS1 but nothing like this. I've gone from a A cup to a D cup in the short time I've been pregnant - I'm already filling the nursing bras I had on DS2 lol. DH says its like being with a new woman (cheeky yolk!)

Fiya I'm so excited for your scan! I fully believe you will hear pink, I'd be bowled over if you didn't! I get what you mean about being disappointed, its nice to hold onto the hope isn't it but I think its better to know and be able to come to terms with what we are given (I'm saying this now to convince myself to stay team green and not go team yellow instead lol)

Missiz I totally get you!! I feel thats all my body knows how to do too - I'm definitely more predispositioned to boys! I know I'm a boy mom through and through but I just can't let go of that need I have for a girl! Please God our bodies surprise us ;)

As for me, I'm just home from an overnight stay in the hospital. I caught a bad vomiting bug and got dehydrated SUPER fast. Ended up in yesterday around noon, pumped full of IV fluids and kept overnight. Its 4pm here now and I'm home about an hour. One upside of this miserable visit was a mini scan I got to confirm baby is doing well :) I've already posted in the u/s forum but for a bit of fun I'll post here too :) Top pic is DS1 at 14 weeks (closest pic I could find) and bottom is dc3. I'm no skull expert but the skulls do look quite similar so I'm leaning boy. Any one else want to have a guess (I won't take offense lol I think I'd drop off altogether if this one was a girl)

I did private US at 14.5 weeks n she said girl but i m not convinced and was waiting for anatomy scan to confirm it.
How is this possible tht they can see spine and all organs but not sex of baby

No actually. 25 week is for 4d ultrasound and i did one scan at 14.5 and they said best pics will be after 24 weeks. I hve my sis wedding as well around 22 weeks and i m leaving on Sunday.
But yes its too frustrating.

@Hopper: yes, I'm soooo nervous. I know my nub is soooo girly, but me with a daughter? I have such a hard time believing it. I'm prepared to hear boy, but desperately longing to hear girl. I hope you'll be better now after your hospital stay. And nice picture of little one, but unfortunately 11+5 is too soon for nub guesses. It looks girly now, but it has 13 days to rise and become a boy. Sending you lots of pink dust though.

@Boyzmommy: oh no :( Really? What a horror story. I know you're dissapointed, but your scan at 14+5 pretty much says it all. The labia are visible on the scan and there's nothing else between the legs. Could you go back to that place for a private scan? Or is that not possible financially?

I had a hard time today. This morning when opening the fridge to take an apple, I had to run to the toilet to vomit twice. At 15 weeks? I'm soooo sick and tired of this nausea!!! 3 nights till my gender scan. I'm actually counting the hours now :)

Beside me not confirming gender,scan was good baby is healthy
Placenta is 1.3 from cervix so it moved a little. Hopefully it will move altogether.

I totally understand the anxiety. I drove 40 minutes to do my elective scan at 16 weeks because the place close to me doesn't check gender until 18 weeks.

I am in Canada too:) It is quite surprising to me actually that Edmonton, Alberta has a place that will tell gender between 15-16 weeks, and that Sherwood Park (just east of Edmonton) also will tell you gender at 16 weeks. But yet the place close to me (I live outside of Edmonton) won't until 18 weeks.

Where did you go for your elective at 14.5 weeks?

Yes I understand, i feel like sometimes Time is flying and when We are approching gender/nub scan or harmony results Time seem to stop...😩
And What about food? i am eating a lot of fruits this Time and don't want anything else for dessert/snack especially citrus and lemon buy also ananas or raspberries (even jam!)
I do love also fennel with citrus dropping but I used to hate It before pregnancy!😜
For DS1 It was smileys salmon and anchovy. And for DS2 artichokes😃

The pain is because I Have A very very tilted uterus which did'nt put himself correctly yet and put pressure on the rectum! Ob said It is rare but Will be ok in about 2 weeks.

The nub isn't in the air, because baby is facing towards us on the first pic, so you see a leg pointing up. Even on the second, no clear nub visible and at least 2 weeks early.

I agree, 10w is too early, no worries! [emoji4] I learned this the hard way too and got a great nub shot, except the angle of the picture is above so it's impossible to tell what direction nub is going. [emoji51] Grrr! That looks like what's happening in yours too.

I think I am finally coming out of this horrendous sickness fog that I have inhabited for the last two months!!!!! Have been able to stop taking my medication which I am so pleased about, and just have a dull background nausea the whole time which is a MASSIVE improvement!!! Have also finally been able to dress in something other than tracksuit or pyjama bottoms, haha!

We caved and have booked a gender scan for a week today...eeek!

I've just done a side by side for comparison! On the left is the day I got a hint of my bfp at like 8dpo and the right is frustrating this AM. I finally weighed myself today. Am up 2.5lbs since conception, from 121lbs to 123.5lbs and am 12+1 today! First pregnancy I've been up weight in first trimester lol. On my first two I had lost close to 20lbs at this point!

I "think" i am over the worst part of my GD (after having cried for 4 days straight). I still wake up in the middle of the night with the thought that this is it i will never have a son. The finality of things is whats causing the most heartache bcoz with my DD2 i still had a hope of trying for a third baby. I dont feel excited about the pregnancy anymore but DH is taking me to shopping trip on valentines to help cheer me up. I havent told anyone about the gender except my immediate family and i am dreading there comments. I am afraid they will trigger my GD again. I will try staying off the forums but will check in time to time.

Oh blue i feel for you. It got hard through my 4th pregnancy to enjoy it. Though precious bubs movements made me feel so blessed. I think you will enjoy shopping. I didn't do much with ds4 as i had everything from ds3 but i enjoyed sorting through all the baby stuff. I actually have a box of gender neutral baby stuff now and it just smells like newborn 😂😂 i do worry about telling people too but im going to deal with that hurdle when i come to it. I have my sister coming with me to the gender scan but im not sure when im going to tell everyone else (apart from dh).

My ds2 is convinced this is his sister and he wants to share a room with her 😂 hes already picking out toys and cute outfits

My heart deeply goes out to you, and I feel you Bluebooties :( I think you will be more accepting later in your pregnancy. I took it really hard with my 3rd daughter too and I cried and just wanted to hide under the covers. Just remember that someone will always have a smart or stupid remark. Prior to me finding out this time around my SIL had a grim on her face saying dont be upset if its another girl. People can be heartless not knowing how deep your pain is. I hope you heal and I know you will have unconditional love for her ♡ I'd say maybe try for one more ♡ It worked the 4th time with me. Sending Big squishy hugs your way Blue. Oh I totally get you hun! The medium who predicted my pregnancy still says girl and has some details etc but I quite honestly think she is wrong. I am 85% sure this baby is a boy, need to get rid of that pesky hopeful 15% so I can just get on with things. Funnily enough when I went for my dating scan I was so sure of my date of 7th Aug being my due date but the sono said baby was measuring as being due 4th August. The medium had given me the 4th as my due date, she said I'd be due the same day as her first grandchild (at the time she said this that made no sense to me as that child was born in July and I didn't know her due date had been 4th Aug lol) She has gotten so much right down to even the date of freakin conception lol but I think I need to put her thoughts to the back of my mind cause it just fuels that hope!

Netti I had a very brief reading from a psychic I haven't seen before who said this would be a boy and would be closely followed by a little girl. I really wish she hadn't said that as I know in my heart this is my last child and if it is indeed a boy I will always be wondering if she was right and if we had gone on to have another would it be a girl. I feel exactly the same way!!! I would like to have accepted things by the time baby gets here. I know if this is another boy then he was meant for us but as it will definitely be our last child I have to come to terms with grieving the daughter I will never have. DH is going for a vasectomy in the spring so that's taking the choice out of my hands. I think it's the right thing to do, I'd probably keeps going otherwise!! We find out in March. No clinics in Ireland will tell you underscore 18 weeks at the VERY earliest, most want you to wait til 20. I think I will explode having to wait that long. I'm just gone 12 weeks now.

Lol Mammacass!! Amazing is right! She initially said it would be a due date near my dad's birthday which is Aug 1st but later she said it would be the same due date as her grand daughter which was Aug 4th, which I didn't know as her grand daughters birthday is July 13 lol. I wouldn't have known she came that early only for she told me after the fact. But still I feel this baby is a boy. I dunno, my scans give me the impression of another boy. Baby looks so similar to my boys, no difference at all. I was excited at the fact I didn't have Hyperemesis this time, just regular yucky sickness which is mostly gone now, but then I remember that symptoms mean nothing! This is a rollercoaster! I will be in love with our newest arrival regardless,just wish I knew the gender now so I could give up speculating. I hate this hope I keep feeling. I want it to go away. I don't want to feel that disappointment, I just want to skip that part if that makes sense?

I am beyond nervous ladies :/ I have my anatomy scan on Wednesday and my appointment with my pareneotologist too. I am worried to hear something will be wrong. It scares me so much and I am in constant worry after knowing the gender. All i care is that the baby will be ok. On another note my youngest daughter will be coming home next weeked after being out of the country for three weeks. I have missed her dearly ♡ hope everyone is doing well

Hopper I think after having a number of boys it's hard not to feel that our next will also be a boy. In some ways I'm thinking girl but I'm not sure if that is just wishful thinking?? I feel like I will have a good idea after our NT scan. I also am hoping different symptoms will mean something for us hopper lol clutching at straws here [emoji6] I can relate to not wanting to feel the disappointment, I feel so guilty for the way I feel. It will be a challenge that's for sure but like you said we will be in love with our Bub regardless [emoji106]

I had to be 17weeks for the gender scan at the particular place im going to. My dh is strictly no more after this (id likely keep going too 😂) but 5 is our limit. I have this hope feeling too and its so annoying. But if this is another sweet little boy then so be it. I'll be the best mum of 5 boys ever 😅

I just had a nap after night shift and just had the 3rd dream this baby is a boy. I think im going to dream this baby into a boy. It makes me feel quilty feeling like this too. I haven't said too much to dh about it as i don't want to upset him but just trying to deal with it on my own at this point.

Its got to the point the other day i was thinking if this is a girl there will be no more baby boys in the house and i started to get upset. Boy oh boy next week cannot come quick enough.

Has anyone had any experience with dvts and pregnancy?

Ive had a cramp type feeling in my left leg only for a number of weeks. Initially i thought it was a pulled muscle, to feeling like a cramp and now a persistent ache/cramp which hasn't been relieved with massage. There isn't any redness, swelling or warmth to the area.

I am going to the drs for some bloods, potential doppler/ultrasound if they recommend it just to rule out as i am high risk due to 5th baby and previous issues with valves in the pelvic veins.

Ewww no good yogi. I had my dh and niece trying to rub/massage my leg even used the rolling pin to see if it would help but its still aching. It could be muscular but its so sore. Im working tonight but a heat pad would work well. I might try the heat cream and a bandage that usually helps my muscle pain.

A close friend of mine who has been trying a few years got some faint positives yesterday. So happy for her. She has one ds who is 11 from a previous relationship but she suffers with pcos and type 1 diabetes but very healthy. Im just glad its finally happened for her. We were pregnant at the same time with our first ds's and now we will be too 😂😂

I reckon you are right Mammacass! I think maybe it's impossible to be carrying a girl. At least we can all empathise on here, we all get how each other is feeling or has felt in the past. It makes me feel a little less guilty! X

Oh I'd love to be able to talk DH into at least 4 kids netti! 4 would be my dream but financially 3 is our limit. It would be nice to have a "safety net" of a possible 4th child but I suppose DH is right. We need to draw a line in the sand and be happy with our boys. The more I say it/think it the easier it has to be to come to terms with right? Lol x
I don't have any experience with dvts hun but I don't think it would be a bad thing to get it checked out. If in doubt get checked out x

@mommymachine: it was a gender scan at 15+3, but it was pretty obvious and we looked for about half an hour.

I'll tell you how my scan went. So one of my good friends is a midwive, but she doesn't usually make ultrasounds. She already did my US at 7 weeks to see the heartbeat and she offered me this one also because it's actually my 30th birthday. She was soooo happy to do the scan, but also a little stressed out to tell me it's maybe a boy.

She started the scan and went straight away to the legs. She immediately saw the little hamburger sign (and me too) but she looked for about 10 minutes to be sure before saying anything. And even then, she said she doesn't usually do them, so she went to look for the ob to confirm.

He entered the room and looked for a loooong time before saying anything. He drove me nuts. Then he said: that's definitely a girl. To be confirmed because it's still early, but there's nothing sticking out and the labia are so clearly visible. So he left the room and then...

I bursted into tears in the arms of my friend. I was soooo relieved. I felt this was my princess, but to actually see it was just such a relief. I'm blessed!

Fiya - so cute!! My best friend had her baby shower yesterday and she's having a little girl and it's so fun to see all the cute girlie stuff!!

Okay ladies question...and a little TMI (and embarrassing!) but I'm afraid when I go to the bathroom everything just "smells" different. I don't know if I have bacteria vaginosis, but I have no other symptoms - no burning or irritation or anything. When reading around it said that 9 out of 10 women will have a difference in smells because pregnancy hormones throw off your PH levels. I'll probably go to OB to get it checked anyway tomorrow maybe, but am I worried about nothing? Or sound like it could be BV?

Yes I understand, i feel like sometimes Time is flying and when We are approching gender/nub scan or harmony results Time seem to stop...😩
And What about food? i am eating a lot of fruits this Time and don't want anything else for dessert/snack especially citrus and lemon buy also ananas or raspberries (even jam!)
I do love also fennel with citrus dropping but I used to hate It before pregnancy!😜
For DS1 It was smileys salmon and anchovy. And for DS2 artichokes😃

Yes I am particularly craving fruit this pregnancy too, which is different from my last 2 pregnancies. Because of my morning sickness, I havent really been enjoying my food like I did the other babies, I found I just loved the taste of food and just indulged alot. This time, I feel I eat mostly because I have to, so I can at least maintain weight for now.

I had a dream last night that I had a boy.... and I seriously hated the way I felt when I woke up.. I hated that sinking feeling in my belly, the sadness in my heart... I just dont want to feel these things, I want to feel joy, excitment about a healthy baby. maybe my brain is trying to prepare me. I have a dating scan tomorrow but I will only be 11 weeks then so there will be no details on gender yet. the NIPT blood test will also take a week to process so I am still waiting for the next week.

Missiz I'm sorry you woke up feeling so sad. I've been feeling a little down lately too just cause I have myself convinced this is boy #3. I am grateful baby is ok but I think I need to be prepared for hearing the inevitable "Its a BOY!" cause otherwise I will fall apart altogether. I am not beating myself up over feeling like this, I will love this baby regardless and frankly I'm so excited about having another baby in the house, our last baby FOREVER (I hate the way that sounds, I think I'd keep popping them out if DH let me!) but I need to take time to grieve the daughter I will never have. Speaking of dreams girls I actually had a dream baby was a girl last night. I woke up so sad this morning cause it wasn't real. It felt so real!! I have never dreamt of having a little girl before so it was nice but also feeding that silly hopefulness I'm feeling. A girl from a previous due date group on another forum just announced she's 20 weeks with boy number 3. I can tell by how she's speaking that she's a little upset by it. I really thought she was having a girl. Her pregnancy itself has been entirely the same as her previous two but she's carrying so different.

Ugh I am so annoyed!!! I just called to make my appt for the only scan clinic near us and they will only take me from 22 weeks! But don't have any appts til I'm 23+4!!!! Rang the next closest place which is a 3 hour round trip and they do anatomy scans from 18 weeks. I can't believe the difference especially when other countries scan way earlier for gender!!! I don't know how I will wait til 18 weeks let alone if I have to wait til 23 weeks. I need to talk to DH later to see if we can drive to the 18 week place. Our biggest issue will be getting the kids minded though as we don't have family support close by! Oh I'm so peeved about this!!!

lol thanks girls! I'm definitely up for the 3 hour round trip but DH isn't keen. I'm sure I'll get around him...I hope :P The idea of staying team green appealed to me several weeks ago but I find the closer I get to my 13 weeks scan this Thursday the more antsy I am and its just confirmed that I am most assuredly team yellow for now lol. I don't know how I could wait, the shock on DS1 wasn't a surprise. I couldn't face that twice, regardless of being at peace with another boy I need to know asap! I'm really hopeful I'll get a decent nub shot on Thursday, I've scoured through the U/S prediction forum and read the stickys so I think I know what to look for but obviously I'd love to share with the experts here ;)

@hopper: it's true that a great nub shot can help a lot. I had around 60 girl guesses (or more) on mine. But I can assure you it didn't really convince me I was carrying a girl. I just thought it could never happen to me. So I really needed the gender scan to get my mind at ease. I'm crossing my fingers for the greatest nub shot ever :fx:

I had my dating scan done today, it was only at 11 weeks so too early for a nub shot to be accurate, but I will put a pic up anyway just for fun :) it was so good to see our little bean jumping around in there, everything looked good, so that makes me feel a great deal of relief and happiness.

Thanks girls I will definitely be asking for a nub shot but whether the Ob "understands" what I'm looking for is a whole other question lol. One more sleep! My appt is in another 30 hours - not that I'm counting haha! I'm *trying* to prepare myself for the disappointment that he won't have a notion what I'm talking about. I have a history of anxiety which the Ob knows about, I'm wondering if I mention the build up of anxiety would he be more forth coming with some nice pics. Desperate aren't I lol!!

I'm still feeling oretty crappy myself hopper. Im 17 weeks tmro and this is my sickest pregnancy by far. Whilst im not vomiting, its the nausea/fatigue/taste in my mouth thats the bother. Plus i feel like ive pulled every muscle in my body 😂 hoping it eases soon.

Netti hun you just described me to a T!! The TASTE in my mouth is the worst part. It just constantly turns my stomach. I need for it to ease off. I'm constantly chewing peppermint gum this past week, I hate the taste but it's better than the horrible taste that's there otherwise!!

Just laying down to sleep now, scan in T minus 17 hours lol. Preparing to see a boy nub, have been studying them galore lol. Will hope for a decent shot to share here regardless of gender. Oh and booking anatomy scan for March 5th so a little over 5 weeks til I know, I can do this ;)

Nothing new here. I feel like I'm that weird transition where there's nothing exciting happening. Baby is overall pretty active now, which is crazy to me. I think I have hubby talked into going and registering this weekend and then we just wait for my baby shower in March (along with maternity pics!). Otherwise just trying to enjoy every day of it!

Hopper, I hope you're right on boyish baby! I had a dream two nights ago we had an ultrasound that said boy and then my husband was carrying around a mysterious baby boy last night in my dream (I was still pregnant though haha). I'll be 30 weeks at picture time and 31 at shower! [emoji4]

Yogi: now I feel like you can just relax and enjoy this sweet baby boy. What a relief! I've done one small registry at Target for local family and friends but will do a big registry this weekend with hubby at Buy Buy Baby. Then when invites go out in a week or two people can already get on and browse!

Luvmyfam - I hope you're taking it easy. That sounds scary! Would it be better for you to snack and eat every hour or so to help keep your sugars up? I hope that doesn't last for long!

So I'm just back from the longest wait for a scan ever! And of course I forgot my wallet and didn't pack snacks so am starving! I asked for a nub shot but he didn't have a clue what I was talking about so I asked for a profile pic without the legs but although he really did try baby just wasn't playing ball but he took loads of pics and I haven't a notion what I'm looking at so I'll upload the three profile type pics he got and you girls can weigh in if you like.
DH thinks he sees a boy nub in the first photo but I could have sworn that was part of babys leg during the scan (I paid way too much attention to the bottom half and not enough to the top I think!) I thought the third pic was girl-ish but I think I'm just desperate. I didn't see a blatant nub throughout the scan but as I said before I'm not good at reading scans... Baby was measuring 13+3 :)

Edit: I was posting as this was going on hopper! I'm terrible at u/s pics unless it's really obvious, but I hope others have good insight! I was like you, I felt like I obsessed over looking for a nub. It was nice a few days later when I actually looked at baby's head and thought s/he looks like hubby's head. @Hopper: such lovely pictures of your sweet little baby. I'm not sure about the nub though. At one point I thought I had to agree with your husband (I think it's the nub and not the leg), but then I thought baby is measuring 13+3 and the angle is not greater than 30° so it could be a girl.

You should post your pics on Facebook in the expert group 'Strictly Nub Theory'. They are really great and there are some real experts who are always right.

Part of me agrees with DH but then I was looking at the second girl nub pic in the NT nub sticky and its very similar to the first picture of my baby. I think I might drive myself mad looking at the pics lol. Baby was hopping around when the OB got the shot with the possible nub, we were both surprised at how flat he/she got their spine (though he was delighted so he used it for measurements lol) I kept looking for a really obvious boy nub, thats what I really focused on getting familiar with before the scan but I didn't see one - but then again I'm not great at spotting things. He gave me some gorgeous other pics that I absolutely love - one is of baby's legs with his/her feet crossed at the ankles. I absolutely love it! There's something about baby's feet lol!!! I just want to nibble them :P

I'm surprised by the clarity of some of the photos he gave me. It seemed like a great machine, much clearer than other ladies scans from my August due date group on FB. You have NO idea how much I hope you are right XX!! March seems such a long way away to find out but I will be sure to let you know if you called it right xxx

Just got email confirmation that the lab has received my blood test and I should have results in 24 hours or less! I'm trying not to get my hopes up and fully expecting a boy result, but it'll be nice to hear something. I also have an emergency appointment with my OB for tomorrow morning because I think I'm dilating early again, so maybe they'll do an ultrasound while I'm there.

Not really. I did sway for the pregnancy before this one but I lost that baby. It took me 3 cycles to conceive this baby and I threw swaying out the window. We did do every 3 days attempt wise and I was drinking the night of ovulation, but other than that...I can't think of anything! I don't even think I was skipping breakfast anymore.

Yes Fiya, I should hopefully know tomorrow. It wasn't a doctor ordered test, so even if it says girl, I won't 100% trust it until I see a scan, but it'll be something.

I'll be 12 weeks tomorrow and today I had a lot of greenish yellow mucus discharge like when I lost my mucus plug with my oldest, and I've been getting pinching pains in my cervix, which is what it felt like I when I dilated with my boys. I did a quick check myself and it felt super soft and pretty open, but it's also very high and short, so it's hard to tell.
My oldest I started dilating at 30 weeks and made it to term, but my youngest I started between 26-30 weeks and delivered at 34 weeks.
If they see I'm dilating tomorrow via exam, then they'll decide if they want to do an ultrasound to check the internal end of my cervix. If it's shortened at ALL I'm going to push for a cerclage, as I don't want to risk an even earlier delivery. For today I'm trying to just stay off my feet and hoping I'm just imagining things and that they'll tell me I'm all closed up still tomorrow.

I'm so excited for all the ladies with scans this week.

Has2 I also dilate early. I started dilating at 30 weeks with ds1 and they never checked with ds 2 until 36 weeks. I always get that cervix pain/pinching from the first trimester. I was 4cm for weeks with the boys and didn't deliver either of them until 41 weeks! Hopefully it's just something normal you're feeling. It is usually the shortening they are more worried about and the have to do an ultrasound to check for that. Research really isn't showing great things with cerclag placement. Hopefully everything is ok!

Couldn't sleep at all last night. Have a horrible pain in my head and just can't stop thinking about yesterdays scan. I was optimistic coming out of it but the optimism has slowly drained away. DH doesn't get it. He thinks I'm sad about the baby being a boy! (I understand that there's still a very slight chance baby might be a much wanted girl but I'm just not even able to think of that right now. The idea of holding onto hope isn't a good one) I'm not sad about that, I will love baby regardless of gender. I love him already. I'm just devastated that this is the end of the road and I'll never have my own daughter. Even writing those words has me in tears. I feel raw. And so alone. I don't know how I am going to make it til March for my gender scan. Sorry for being so moany and down girls, I just don't know that anyone else would understand how I'm feeling.

And we said we would see in time. After DS3 was almost 3 we decided to try 6 months. And we were both ok with it staying with 3 boys if it didn't work out. (Or 4 boys if it did and swaying didn't work out)

Point is just having a glimmer of hope made it possible to enjoy pg more. And after he was born and being the light of our life made GD go to the background making things so much easier.

I do think Your top pic looks boyisch. But i don't think its the most reliable pic cause of the position baby is in. Still could be a girl.

Oh hopper I really feel for you hun and also want to give you a big hug. I too remember the feeling upon the realisation that number 3 was another boy after doing what I felt was a good IG sway. And at that stage going again was not even on the radar. It hurts. The next few weeks will be hard being in limbo wondering what the outcome will be, just know we are all here for you to talk it out xx

@Hopper: I'm so sorry sweetheart. Some experts responded to your nub thread and they seem to be pretty much always right. They don't seem to doubt your nub, so I think you're getting a wonderful boy. Did you sway for a long time? And would you envision going HT do get your girl? I have been thinking about you a lot. I would have loved to tell you girl. Maybe she's a surprise girl anyway. Nub theory isn't a 100% reliable. How are you doing?

@Has2: wasn't it the NIPT-test you got? It seems to be pretty reliable, like 99%, so I would trust it more than a scan if I were you.

@Taytum: the clothes are from Next, which is a really hip online store in the UK. They deliver in France, but I'm not sure about delivery rates to the US. I think it would be too expensive...

Well ladies, unless the test is wrong (I've spent the past hour scouring the Internet hoping to find people who say it is, with mixed results), it looks like we're having our third boy. After the loss in November, and now this, I'm feeling very depressed. I was very hopeful that we'd get our girl this time and I'm not sure that I'll be able to go through swaying again.

Also, no ultrasound today, we booked my gender scan for 6 weeks from today, and she didn't even check to see if I was dilated, just said if I'm not bleeding or cramping, she's not concerned. We also confirmed that I will be starting my makena shots next month. So all around, today has been very disappointing and I will probably be taking quite a long break from the site. Good luck and healthy pregnancies to everyone.
